It's fine if you don't really have thoughts on it or don't care, not disappointing at all! I agree about not caring much about celebrities' personal lives, because it's honestly none of our business. But I've been keeping up with this because it's a very public "scandal", and as a fan, I want to show support, because, although the law's punishment is fair, he doesn't deserve any of what the public and media dragged him through.

Since you asked about the disinformation in the tags though, I'd like to elaborate, because I just love writing paragraphs upon paragraphs about pretty much everything. You can just skip to the TL;DR if you'd like.

Okay so firstly, there was no accident, so nothing to worry about there. There was no harm done to anything or anyone.

He was riding a small scooter very slowly and following all rules, helmet, lanes etc, except he was drunk. he fell due to a sharp turn while turning into his apartment complex. Three police officers patrolling nearby had been walking by and came to help him up. Apparently, they smelled alcohol and took a BAC.

The next morning, the police released a statement saying he had been riding a kickboard drunk. Soon after, presumably as soon as he wasn't hungover, he released an apology. This was how many people found out about the incident. BigHit/HYBE also released a statement.

But then the disinformation and backlash started. JTBC released potato-quality footage of someone riding a scooter at high speeds on the highway, claiming it was Suga. Another channel released even grainier footage of a man falling off his scooter and then running away. Then came tons of people and media saying Suga had lied in his statement on various counts (he was found lying on the street, the type of vehicle, the distance, his BAC (although he never mentioned his BAC, and neither did the police)).

Then, a week later, another station released very clear CCTV footage from outside Suga's apartment complex, this time showing him steadily riding a small scooter at about walking speed (like those scooters kids have but with a small seat) and falling while taking a sharp turn into the gateway. It shows the police officers walking along talking behind him and then coming over to help him when he falls, although he's standing and retrieving his helmet by the time they get there, and then they converse for a while.

This debunked all the earlier footage, proving that it was not of Suga. The stations that shared that footage then apologized for sharing wrong footage. JTBC was then investigated by the government for this and has been punished for showing false footage.

So, slowly, every single thing that Suga said was confirmed to be true. I skipped over some stuff to keep this short (I failed anyways), but all of that stuff was proven false so it doesn't matter in the end.

Despite the media now being confirmed to be liars and the general public opinion turning in favor of Suga, the media have continued to harass him, including by lining up for days outside the police station to get pics of him going in and forcing him to apologize twice in person.

TL;DR: People and the media said Suga lied and slandered him to hell and back and then it turned out he didn't lie at all, which was crazy because there were reputable news sources going around spreading misinformation. The misinformation was later debunked with actual proof and government/police statements.

Now, there's been a summary indictment and everyone is just waiting for the final verdict, which is likely a fine. So it's almost over but it's been a journey for sure.

Oh really I didn't know these things, thanks for updating me on this. I am not particularly surprised but I didn't know the extent of it. The harassment and misinformation, that's terrible. I wish Hybe focused more on righting these things rather than making him apologize so severely over a small matter. I mean if he's being harassed like this and wrongly accused, apologizing over and over as a response against it is validating those things in a way. I "get" it on one hand that this has blown up, since this is BTS. The tiniest things will have this effect when it comes to them, and will be a public ordeal so I understand wanting to defend and support them with correct information etc. What are these news channels doing spreading footage like that? Good if they're being punished. Thanks for providing links, idk if i'll check them out, maybe i will maybe not but maybe someone else is interested. Overall this is horrible treatment.

⚠️Analysis chapter 101⚠️

Contains spoilers!

So, considering I've been seeing a lot about Chapter 101 and Chuuya dying by drowning, I went and read the chapter.

And then bursted out laughing.

Now, be ready for yet another one of my rants and absolutely ferocious theories bcs it's 3 in the morning and I'm absolutely enjoying this mind game.

1. Are we even surprised that Ango went to the extent of manipulating a very dangerous incarcerated ability user who can stop the time just for Dazai? After all, we know Ango feels guilty for what happened between him, Oda and Dazai. We know Ango would do anything for Dazai. And it's a win for the government too, as let's not forget Dazai is one dangerous ex port mafia executive and called demon prodigy and the words of "the biggest misfortune for Dazai's enemies is that they are Dazai's enemies". More, Dostoievsky is terribly dangerous too and imposes a threat not just for the government, but for the whole world and ability users. Dazai being able to be an actual enemy to Dostoevsky is a feat in itself for the government. Especially since he's willing to be. He might genuinely be the only one able to confront Fyodor. Dazai winning against Fyodor means the government itself succeeded. Not to mention they both are more dangerous than that prisoner who stops time. It's really an insignificant sacrifice with little danger.

2. Chuuya is still a vamp. Still in Fyodor's hands. Chuuya is dangerous, literally has Arahabaki and can wipe a damn city in a blink of an eye. But don't you also find it interesting that Arahabaki seems to not respond to Fyodor? I mean, if I were him, I would totally use Arahabaki to get out of that prison by wiping it. That would also mean Fyodor winning bcs Dazai would be dead. Why didn't Fyodor do this? The only explanation that makes actual sense is Arahabaki not responding to him.

3. Dazai caught Fyodor in big way. He's in a room anti ability and is basically a wet rat swimming in water who's waiting to drown.

But this is where it gets interesting and I'm starting my theories from here.

Those are Chuuya's eyes before entering the room.

Empty, no consciousness, under Fyodor's control.

But those are Chuuya's eyes while in the water. They're not empty white blank anymore, as you can see. He's gritting his teeth and the round of the pupil starts forming which signals conscience as we have seen in the stance of Chuuya during corruption vs Chuuya getting out of corruption .

So I have 3 theories on this:

1. Chuuya's surviving instincts being triggered gets him out of the ability and, respectively, from under Fyodor's control.

2. The water has something in it that neutralizers the effects of any ability, case in which Fyodor is dead, as it would be like Dazai touching him but worse, more efficient.

3. The water touching that anti ability door is affected by the very property of that door to neutralize abilities, which leads to the result of 2nd theory too.

Many in this fandom didn't hesitate to instantly throw Dazai under the bus and while I'm definitely in for the Dazai slander usually happening in the fandom as yes, he is manipulative and can be really shitty and everything you want, Dazai was Chuuya's partner for a damn long time. They've known each other for seven years, have done a lot of things together, know each other very well, heck, they don't even need to speak many times to understand each other. I don't think Dazai wants Chuuya dead. And even if let's say Dazai would be willing to get rid of Chuuya, Chuuya is useful so he won't (if you want that bad for your heartless Dazai agenda to be fed).

Which leads me to point 1 and Dazai suddenly mentioning the moments they've gone through.

We know Dazai rarely does something without a reason. Do you really think this was just a sudden popped up thought he decided to share while his biggest enemy is listening?

I don't think so. Dazai is in front of a ton of screens, must I remind you? He sees what's happening, hears it. He probably saw what I mentioned up about Chuuya's eyes too.

Even more, Dazai talks about Chuuya not being able to lift all that water. But Chuuya can lift himself with his ability. We know that, we've seen that.

The door is anti ability. But is the ceiling?

I don't think Chuuya will die. Really, I think Dazai spoke of their memories exactly because he saw Chuuya gaining consciousness and the memories and his voice would help Chuuya gain control back.

So no, I don't think Chuuya dies.

Now, on the Fyodor agenda.

Fyodor dying by drowning seems ridiculous to me. Like, all this super villain agenda to what? To die so easily? I don't think so.

We don't know yet what Fyodor's ability does, don't know how it functions. And Dazai is taunting him to reveal it (panel above).

This is why I see rather more probable for Chuuya to regain control because of his survival instinct. And I think we'll see how Fyodor's ability works next (very improbable) but more than this I think Fyodor will catch Chuuya's leg or something when Chuuya regains control and flies using his ability.

But there comes the next thing: Chuuya's wrath. And this is more probable to show us Fyodor's ability than some water.

This is what I thought about for now.

I know different interpretations of a work are generally enriching and cool... but c!dream villan interpretations is like how to tell me you only watch Tommy without saying you only watch tommy.... which would be fine but its not a great place to be making statements about the whole nature of the dsmp lol

Wild speculation, but sometimes I wonder if like, because the dsmp didn't really start as a narrative, and a lot of fans don't nessecarily enter it expecting a narrative, but then there is one and the fandom is really discourse heavy and everyone is sort of excpeted to have an opinion while maybe not expecting to form one from the begining or not having a ton of experience with narrative in a way that would "expect" them to have an opinion or not take things at face value??, I don't know if I explained that well at all... and I don't really even think thats right nessecarily... but like wow sometimes some of the takes about power and government and villany...

Honestly, it makes sense!!!

I think something interesting is like.... looking at how animatics have shaped the like tone and culture of the fandom essentially. Like, an interesting fact that I didn't really fully grasp until SUPER recently is like...

c!Wilbur out the gate admits he is manipulating c!Tommy. Like his first youtube video on the Dream SMP he admits his goal is to manipulate c!Tommy and people like c!Tommy into helping him achieve a potion ("drug") empire to monopolize on potions because there were a lot of people on the server who like to min-max, which is to put all of your effort into this one specific skill essentially. so like... i know minecraft doesnt have a skill tree but if it did, it would be putting all your points into that one specific branch of a skill tree. So he wanted to exploit the labor of all the TommyInnits to.... maintain a Potion Empire.

THIS IS A LONG POST BC I GOT CARRIED AWAY SO BUCKLE UP

And I don't think a lot of the fandom who joined later on knows this. I certainly didn't until like a week or so ago? Like... I knew c!Wilbur had been manipulative from the start because I'm a mod of (shameless self promo incoming) @dsmpanalysis and we have a lot of different POVs in that mod team and discord and we talk about it really frequently. I joined the fandom as someone who was really big on L'manburg ESPECIALLY crimeboys, and have turned into.... *gestures vaguely to my blog*

And ngl I owe a lot of it to @1-michibiki-1 in terms of c!Dream "Apologism" but all of the mods there have expanded my thoughts and views on the storylines of this narrative.

My application consisted of like largely essays about like... how I think Dream was the villain but he was meant to be the villain because you don't get any insight into his character WHICH.... IS A FAIR ASSUMPTION AT FIRST GLANCE. People are easily villainized when you cannot get a glimpse into their thought process. It's easy to dwindle someone down into this flat character and starting out I knew Dream didn't stream the SMP on purpose.

And I personally came to the conclusion of "Oh! So Dream is supposed to be the villain." However as the story continued and I learned more about what Dream went through I began to realize that... it's more than likely a form of a red herring. My opinions on this were immediately solidified when I watched Ranboo's 2 MIL stream because both Ranboo AND Dream agree on enjoying red herrings.

There have been MANY times were Dream has said that c!Dream is a complex character and he's not a wholly evil guy and there have been times where the narrative has honestly just proved that.

Anyways, what's important though was that... I learned most of this from other people who were more focused on c!Dream rather than myself. Eventually I shifted from c!Tommy to c!Ranboo and c!Techno after c!Tommy betrayed c!Techno and I began to realize.... everything I learned before hopping in wasn't exactly what it seemed.

Part of this is because I'm older, I heavily identify with c!Techno's sense of loyalty and philosophies on government, but I especially identify with the anguish c!Techno voiced in... a lot of lore but especially the lore around Doomsday.

I'm not 16 anymore. I don't always feel wronged by adults, or older people in my case, whenever they absolutely have done something wrong by me, but I do feel wronged by my close friends. I also felt like c!Tommy's sense of loyalty didn't line up with mine after what felt like him constantly flip-flopping and refusing to understand c!Techno's morals on government didn't line up with his.

In short, it was easier to identify with Tommy in these animatics versus in the actual stream content because c!Tommy is played by a 16 year old. I'm not a teenager and my line of thinking doesn't entirely line up with people that age anymore. It's harder to place myself in the same shoes of someone's OC who is played closer to their actual age, because I'm not that age.

Regardless, I was still on the c!Dream is a villain train. I wasn't ever like... c!Dream is repulsive I hate him, but I was like omg hot villain lad go brrr.

Even when the first like... mellohi, panic room, Ranboo lore stream popped up I thought "Oh! c!Ranboo corruption arc?"

And I was excited because I really wanted this shy, nervous character to turn into villain buddies with his good pal c!Dream. I'm a total sucker for villains and corruption arcs and all that good shit.

SO I STARTED GETTING REALLY INTERESTED IN ENDERSMILE. I'VE BEEN ON ENDERSMILE SQUAD OUT THE GATE. NOT THE SAME WAY I AM NOW, BUT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED THEM TO TEAM UP.

So... upon not really keeping up with c!Dream and being relatively??? indifferent? I don't think I started arguments on c!Dream back then, but I might have. But I remember like... starting to participate more whenever c!Dream came up and looking more into Dream's character BUT ESPECIALLY TALKING WITH OUR SERVER'S C!DREAM SPECIALIST MICHI ABOUT DREAM A LOT MORE.

And because Michi has been a watcher since day one and was a DTeam fan rather than a SBI fan, she was able to provide me with more information on how the server worked pre-Tommy but especially pre-Wilbur.

Now, you could definitely argue well Michi probably has clear bias but it made sense to me when I looked back on how the storyline had been constructed and was going along, and everyone in the server talks a lot about our own biases and how we want people to maybe not lean so hard on them. Michi would also provide like anecdotes on what had happened and I'm sure links were probably provided at one point but the point was I felt like Michi had no reason to lie or manipulate how the story was told and if she did, eventually someone would have pointed it out because... Group of like... right now it's around 20 or more analysts but I don't remember how many at the time there were. POINT BEING, WE'VE ALL GOT POINTS TO PROVE AND IN MY EXPERIENCE NOT MANY OF US HAVE BEEN SHY TO PROVE THEM.

So if anyone ever had any differing opinions they would be talked about and we literally had and still have discussions.

REGARDLESS.... I DIDN'T FACT CHECK IN DEPTH BECAUSE I THOUGHT PEER REVIEW WAS ENOUGH WHEN YOU HAVE LIKE HOURS UPON HOURS OF STREAMS TO WATCH.

Anyways. Eventually I started paying closer attention and looking more into c!Dream lore but only recently have I started to triple check before speaking about c!Wilbur lore because I know everyone has biases and while I did trust everyone's thoughts and analysis in the discord, whenever I make essays I typically like it to be largely air tight and if theres a mistake, I want it to be because I forgot not because I just trusted what was said. Plus, I wanted to get down to the specifics of how Wilbur had always started with manipulation on the mind.

SO I WATCHED HIS FIRST VIDEO ON THE DREAM SMP.

AND WHAT I WAS NOT BY ANY MEANS EXPECTING WAS WILBUR TO SAY WORD FOR WORD, VERBATIM,

"SO WHY DON'T I START AN INDUSTRY WHERE I USE THE TOMMYINNITS OF THE WORLD TO WORK FOR ME, TO CREATE THINGS THAT THE MIN-MAXERS OF THE WORLD WILL WANT."

Like... this is in no way an attempt to like hardcore villainize c!Wilbur like everyone does Dream, it's just more so to like REALLY outline how far off a lot of fandom interpretation of c!Wilbur is....

Because of SBI focused animatics.

Now, when I joined I watched A LOT of animatics that really highlighted like... Wilbur being this self-loathing JD-esque, "I destroyed it because I had to because the world was against me because no one loved us, Tommy" type of character. At least... that's what it came across as.

And it definitely highlighted the fact that Tommy was a victim, which he is. He is undoubtedly a victim and no not even any dream apologist can change my mind otherwise. Tommy, despite being an instigator sometimes, didn't deserve the abuse he received.

But these animatics never shown the fact that c!Wilbur started L'manburg as a shady ploy to exploit people like c!Tommy and vilify c!Dream so he could have power.

And that was easy because Dream and Tommy had wars before. They had spars and pranks and here's the plan to take back my disks and here's the plan to out smart the thieving little child etc etc.

And all of the animatics I watched never mentioned this. Neither did the recaps though. The recaps gave the events flat out, there didn't sound like there was bias, and honestly I don't really know if there was rather than like... a lack of nuance. And it's hard to provide a recap with that much nuance in a short period of time for a youtube video, to be perfectly fair.

However, this creates a perfect formula for entirely rewriting the history of a server. c!Wilbur quite literally fucking succeeded TO A META LEVEL. He slandered and ran smear campaigns against Dream and like he even does that with Sapnap in the beginning. But what's crazy is that it transferred over into the meta! Most of this fandom understands Wilbur as a victim of mental illness, and yeah maybe? He definitely wasn't mentally well by the end of pogtopia, but he never started out with honorable intentions. L'manburg was never a victim, only its citizens. The TommyInnits of the world.

I just think it's like... such an interesting case study. Because this is like... an opinion like shared by at least half of the fandom, but the vilifying of c!Dream is shared by MOST of the fandom I would argue. Which is like even more crazy for me because that was c!Wilbur's goal!!!

LIKE I GO INSANE WHEN I THINK OF THIS BECAUSE HIS REACH IS JUST TOO POWERFUL. HE'S NOT EVEN ENTIRELY REAL, JUST A MANIPULATIVE PERSONA OF SOME BRITISH GUY.

And I mean... maybe people who have watched Wilbur's video on the SMP still maintain this idea that Wilbur wasn't always the bad guy, but honestly... I wouldn't be surprised if their introduction was still an animatic. Like bias is hard to check and I'm not going to lie I could have sworn I watched both Wilbur's AND Tommy's video on the SMP in the beginning and yet I STILL was a ride or die for tragic yet on some level still honorable Wilbur and a resilient Tommy.

Like... upon watching Wilbur's first video... possibly again I was surprised because I thought I did watch it like right before I even started watching the streams and yet I was still so invested in c!Wilbur as this tortured anti-hero.

It took 6 months of... not being in an echo chamber, full of multiple different people of different ages, different stream POVS, and people who joined the fandom at different points in time.

IDK IF THIS WAS EVEN ENTIRELY RELEVANT IT JUST FELT TANGENTIALLY RELEVANT AND THIS WAS SOMETHING I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT FOR A HOT MINUTE AFTER LIKE WATCHING WILBUR'S FIRST VIDEO AGAIN.

TLDR;

SBI CENTRIC ANIMATICS HAD A LASTING AFFECT ON THIS FANDOM AS IT'S HARD TO GO BACK AND ACTUALLY CHECK THE NARRATIVE FOR SOLID FACTS FOR YOUR OWN INTERPRETATION BASED ON THE FACT THAT THIS NARRATIVE SPANS OVER HUNDREDS OF HOURS WORTH OF TWITCH STREAMS.

What ideas came from when I was little?

Not a ton have stuck but mainly the ideas of monarchy and a royal family because it's (on its surface) easier to grasp than having presidents and whatnot, and given that I don't even understand my own government model and fail to grasp exactly how it's structured or care to I think having a united kingdom over united states is just easier for me to work with (not American slander I know my country isn't the best but jesus christ is it annoying)

Another would be the concept of elemental orientation/powers/beings, is just fun to have character with fire powers

Estimate how much art I post online and how much I keep to myself

As of now most of my online posting is very limited, I just don't draw as often and when I do I don't post it mostly because nobody outside our friend group would understand and honestly I don't have much of a following anyway that would care whether or not I'm posting, and I'm not active in any fandoms so that doesn't help either

So as of now like 1% of my art is online, 50% between me and Jules and 49% just in our group, I know that sounds like piles of art is hidden from public view but really it's like a couple handfuls of drawings a month for me because of how I work

Favorite piece of clothing to draw

Shoes, I just like how they look and while I'm not that kind of artist where most of the focus is on how wacky the shoes the character is wearing nor do I know how to draw complex designer looking ass shoes that you wear with a Supreme shirt and basketball shorts I just like shoes man they're pretty neat

A creator who I admire but who's work isn't my thing

There's definitely some people who'd fit that description but I can't think off the top of my head, if I wanna be salty I'd say any artists who wipe excess paint off on a canvas and then sell it for more money than it should be worth just out of annoyed admiration but that's not here or there

Nothing impressive, I've done some art competition but for fun and with no actual stakes like the best art earns a limo ride to McDonald's, just a custom emoji in a discord server ykno

Artfight could be counted but only for one year and I'm not doing it anymore because it's exhausting for me even though there's so many good characters to draw and I appreciate the art I receive of my own characters

As for things like zines alongside the fact I don't know what the fukc they are or what they entail I'm not that good or consistent of an artist to do anything comic or collaborative (collabs with friends don't count I love those)

What piece of mine do I think is underrated

Eh, I don't think that highly of my art and especially older pieces, not to say I'm a terrible artist obviously I have skill but I'm also not the kind to be salty over the fact a drawing didn't get the attention I wanted it to, a partial reason I don't post much anymore because I don't expect it'll be noticed so why bother, it's easier anyway to get the same good feeling from showing my friends

Devastation had began for Juliet Guerra long before the T-virus was leaked in Raccoon City. After reading the reports she had found in Barry Burton's office, she knew something was very wrong in the Arklay Mountains, and most of all, she knew for a fact that the terrors they had found in those mountains couldn't be possibly contained for much longer. The beginning of her own ruin had started innocently and slowly. She had been flirting with the idea of making her thesis based on the incidents that took place that distant July night and how information can be so easily corrupted. Very little info had been released to the media and, apparently, everyone planned it to stay that way. But Juliet, being a young journalism student, had a tremendous desire to eat the whole word and incidentally remove the blindfold that covered the eyes of the citizens of Raccoon City in the process.

After spending whole days and nights doing her due diligences mostly from scratch, the blame pointed directly at only one suspect... The Umbrella Corporation. The world's pharmaceutical giant, whom in reality was dedicated to use its medical and biotechnological research as a cover to create biological weapons that were later sold to the governments of the world's major powers. Actually, they dedicated almost religiously to experimenting with genetics and military technology. Juliet, at one point in her research, was not surprised that these experiments finally got out of control in the Arklay Mountains.

It was a warm night of September of 1997 when she met Carlos Oliveira for the first time. It was one of those rare nights when she allowed herself to find a distraction from school and go out to have a drink with her girlfriends. His smile was almost as warm as the weather, and she fell completely for him when he asked her for a cigarette with his husky voice outside of the club when she went out to grab fresh air. He was a total flirt, the way his black curls and beard framed his face, and the sensual roughness his body possessed made him seem like a real man even though he was barely twenty-one years old. That night, while they were dancing together to a popular song in Spanish, she knew she wanted to see him again the next day, and the following too.

Carlos had been her real support when things took a change for the worst for Juliet. She knew whom he worked for, and still, she couldn't bring herself to tell him. Not yet. She first had to gather enough proof (without getting eliminated in first place) to tell him with all of the confidence of the world that he was working for the devil on earth. Until then, her work had to be a secret for the well-being of everyone she loved.

Of course he could notice something was wrong when she would wake up all agitated and covered in sweat, caused by her nightmares which were about the things that were to come. But instead of asking, he very much preferred to just hold her tight with his toned arms and tell her everything was fine. And Juliet would eventually calm down, even though she was conscious that the things Carlos said to calm her down couldn't be more wrong.

Everything ended the day Carlos found out classified documents from the R.P.D. Documents that had been discarded as total slander in Juliet´s desk. They didn´t live together, but Carlos had his own key to her department door, so he could let himself in whenever he wanted to. And that afternoon, he decided he would surprise her with a cute dinner and the news that they would be traveling together to Italy in early October. Carlos just wanted to get her away from everything, you know, give her some peace of mind and nothing better than a short vacation to lift up her spirits. He really thought all the anxiousness, the sleepless nights, the lack of appetite, those heavy dark circles under her eyes, and the cigarette and sleep medication addiction were caused just from school's stress.

Juliet got home early from work that late August afternoon, went into her bedroom to change her clothes and give Carlos a quick phone call, but that wasn't necessary at all, because he was already there. She should have guessed, from the way her bedroom door was half-closed when she always left it all the way shut.

–Mi amor, what are you doing here? –his back was facing her, and he was leaning with both his arms on the desk, running his right hand through the tons of paper sheets that were scattered all over the place. His silence only drove her crazy with every second that passed.

–Juliet, darlin', why have you been researchin' on my work's company? –he said with a serious tone. The one that she would only hear him use in important work phone calls. She took a couple of steps back, and rested her back against the door.

–That's my thesis work –she answered vaguely. Almost as if she was absent. Her cheeks were red, and her hands were already trembling behind her back.

–You know this is only bullshit, right? Things the looneys say in midnight television programs.

–Carlos, if you only let me explain it to you –he grabbed a handful of sheets and wrinkled them with his strong fist, then threw them to the trash can that was in the corner of the room. That was the reaction she most feared. Anger–… Baby, calm down…

This Carlos seemed like a complete stranger to Juliet. She had never seen him like this. He clenched his jaw; his eyes looked filled with confusion mixed with fear (That’s why she´s been having such trouble sleeping! She's been reading way too many terror books, and oh boy, what it says in these sheets is indeed frightening). And it seemed almost natural; this was the company that gave him medical insurance, a really generous income, and most of all, the privilege of working with one of the most important enterprises of the world. How could they be filled with crazy scientists that dedicate exclusively to test how much they can stretch the limits of reality? To Carlos, this was far from a serious subject. She had to be kidding.

–Stop it, Inspector Gadget. It has been enough with the little that I read. You cannot be serious.

–Carlos, I am even considering leaving this town. Chaos is just around the corner –her eyes started threatening with shedding some tears. She walked towards him, now that he had relaxed a little bit. She put her hands on his broad chest, and looked up directly at him with watery eyes–. I need to leave, Carlos, and I want you to come with me. Leave Umbrella –he left out a big laugh and narrowed his eyes into hers.

–The lack of sleep is really affecting you, babe. Let's go to the kitchen, I made us dinner –he grabbed her by the hand, but she let go quickly of his delicate grip.

–I'm being really serious, and if you don’t even wanna hear what I have to say then please don't interfere with my work –he turned immediately at her direction, with a gesture of distaste on his face. Surely, there had been some friction before as it is a normal thing to happen sometimes between couples, but this felt different. Just like a fight of egos.

–Juliet. Understand it. If Umbrella finds out that you have being going through their shit... I don't know what could happen to you. They do have a lot of power...

–So you accept that they are dangerous...

–Nena, really, stop it. I'm getting tired of this.

–Then honestly I don’t know what you are doing here.

–What? Now you want me to leave?

–Do you want to talk about it and actually listen to me instead of just assuming things? –she cleaned a fast tear that crossed her cheek. They had been almost screaming at eachother.

–This is nonsense. Umbrella would never do all of those things!

–Then, if you choose to leave, please never come back again.

Juliet took a seat in her bed, expecting him to seat beside her. But he didn't. Carlos analized her for a couple of seconds and then left the bedroom. He grabbed the things he left in the living room, including the plane tickets, and then, all Juliet heard was the door being slammed and a cold, dead silence.

Lots to Learn

Summary: In the wake of a huge disappointment, Peter and MJ learn a few things about what it means to be there for each other.

Characters: Peter Parker x Michelle Jones

It’s been a good day for Peter since the beginning, even though it’s a hard one for her.

Peter gets the text at 7:30 in the morning. He’s a morning person; even on a weekend, there’s no way he ever makes it past seven before he is awoken by his body. This is something MJ knows, and so his first instinct when he hears her text tone is to grin to himself. The second thought, which follows immediately after, is concern.

She almost always stays up until 3 AM writing on the weekends… Why would she be texting him this early? As Peter fumbles for his phone where it lies on his cluttered desk, another text from MJ comes in. As soon as he sees the messages, his heart sinks.

Hey. I didn’t get in. I’m fine.

Then, two minutes later:

I’m not. Come over

He was there in ten minutes.

At his insistence, the day since then has been a blur of MJ’s favorite things. Doing each other’s nails in dark colors while they watch Don’t Fuck With Cats in the dark of her room, something that they’ve been doing more and more since they returned from Europe. At first, MJ is mostly quiet, but by the time they’re half an hour in and Peter has finally finished painting her nails dark purple, there is the ghost of a smile on her face as she examines the bumpy polish.

After that, it’s people-watching on a park bench with middle-eastern street food, placing bets on who is most likely to be a serial killer and making up outlandish backstories for the most normal-looking people. Then, Peter convinces May to let him take the car out so that they can drive to the Mysterious Book Store, MJ’s favorite spot. On the way there, they listen to MJ’s favorite conspiracy podcast (”Lizard People”); on the way back it’s MJ’s mix of music, which Peter is never opposed to, as they banter over who made the better purchase. Then, it’s back to her place, where Peter is currently in the process of cleaning up after their dinner mess.

MJ is fiddling with her laptop, trying to illegally download the documentary she has been telling him about for weeks that he never got around to actually watching, when he finally breaches the topic.

“So,” he mentions, his voice rising slightly in pitch as he sets the pan they used for stir fry in the dishwasher. “Are you… Y’know. Are you okay?”

Even with her back to him, Peter can see MJ’s shoulders stiffen from the sofa. There is quiet between them for a minute as Peter puts their forks away, but it is not an uncomfortable one. It’s the kind of silence he’s grown accustomed to since he and MJ have started spending more time together: a pensive quiet. Sometimes, MJ needs a minute to put her thoughts together. Ever since she first expressed the need for it, Peter’s grown to appreciate it more and more.

Right now, though, that appreciation is mingled with concern.

After a second, MJ quietly exhales from on the sofa, turning her body slightly so that she is looking into the kitchen while he puts in the dish soap. The machine has started to whir softly before she finally answers, brown eyes watching him intently.

“I mean, I’m disappointed. But I think I will be.” Her tone is quiet, measured. Still, Peter can hear the slight catch in her throat on the word ‘think,’ and his eyes met hers, holding her gaze. She quirks the corner of her lips up into a small, slightly sad smile, asking him not to mention it. He nods and lets out a breath, straightening up and heading to her little box of loose-leaf tea, which she has painted with dark foliage.

Despite the heaviness to her gaze, a quiet, thankful gratitude sparks in those eyes as MJ follows the movement. “The middle finger mug. It’ll help me maturely manage my feelings.”

Peter’s snort of amusement causes her little smile turn into a smirk, and her shoulders relax as he retrieves the mug and lightly scoops some of her lavender tea into it. No diffuser for her– MJ likes the texture of the wet leaves, something she has always insisted vehemently. However, Peter fills one of the tiny metal contraptions up with his cinnamon chai, and then sets his Ruth Bader-Ginsburg to steep on the counter beside the mug she requested, which is currently flipping the kitchen off.

Peter rests his back against the counter, facing her in the quiet for a second. Her wicked smirk softens slightly as they take the moment to just look at one another across the warm light of her parents’ apartment, breathing each other in. She’s told him about how empty it feels here when her parents are gone for work (so all the time); since then, he’s made every effort to be here as often as he can. They’ve built a friendship here, learning each others’ rhythms and preferences. Sometimes, they’ve built a little more than that… Her head on his shoulder when she falls asleep to a move, her fingers tentatively stroking his hair when he collapses on the sofa beside her after a patrol night.

Even now, in this moment of disappointment, they’re building something strong– stronger than rejection.

“Maybe it’s good.” MJ speaks up, causing Peter to lurch out of his thoughts, out of the dark eyes he’s grown to love drowning in.

“Huh?”

“Berkeley,” Michelle hums, amused as she shoots him another smirk. “I mean… It’s California. Far. Bard is closer.”

“Right, totally,” Peter says quickly to show he’s paying attention. “Besides, you know, California people… Lots of, uh, social media influencers and stuff.” He’s really just citing his stereotypical knowledge of the West Coast, but MJ seems to appreciate the effort.

“Yeah. A ton of people pretending that everything is perfect,” MJ agrees. “I’d probably suffocate. And really hot, too.”

“But you’re always cold,” Peter finds himself saying, bemused.

MJ shoots him a look, but she seems to find the comment funny. “Not helping, Peter. Come on, at least try to slander this place with me.”

“Right, sorry.” Peter can’t help his grin as she turns back to her laptop, responding to the ‘ping’ of its tinny speakers telling her that her piracy is complete. “Well, slander sounds good to me… With our drinks, of course. Wait, we could spill tea both literally and metaphorically.”

“Peter…”

Peter grins as he picks up the cups, back to her once more as he tries to balance the heated mugs so that they will neither spill nor burn his hands off. “Sorry, sorry. I know terrible puns won’t help right now. Though, I don’t really know if they would help ever-”

“Peter.”

There is something in her voice, which has gone deathly quiet, that causes Peter to turn a little too fast. He winces as the cinnamon-scented tears of Satan splash onto his skin, but as he quickly sets down the mug his eyes do not leave the back of her head, which is frozen above stiffened shoulders.

“MJ, are you…”

“Peter, I got in.”

There is a moment of silence, and the only sound is the dripping of the tea that Peter spilled slipping over the lid of the counter-top. Peter is frozen for a moment, eyes wide as he looks to where she is sitting. After a moment, he finds his voice.

“But, I thought-”

“There was a mistake with my email,” MJ says, turning to face him. Her eyes are wide, and though she is clearly trying to stay calm, the speed of her tone and the smile that bursts through no matter what betray her emotions.

“They got me mixed up with another Michelle Jones. Apparently it’s a common name, but I think it’s more likely the government was trying to suppress my voice by restricting my access to higher education-”

“MJ.” This time it’s Peter’s turn to interrupt, a grin edging across his lips as his eyes take in her dancing eyes. “You got in.”

A laugh bubbles from Michelle’s throat, wild and incredulous and something that sounds like a dream. “I got in.” She says the words once, testing them out on her lips, and apparently liking the way they feel. “I got in!”

“You got in.”

In an instant, she is tripping over herself to get off her sofa, and Peter is racing across the kitchen to meet her in the hug that she initiates. Her arms wrap around his neck as his circle her upper back, holding her tight as she laughs. For a moment, he holds her close his eyes squeezing shut as she wraps her arms tighter around her neck.

After a few heartbeats of pure elation, Peter pulls back just slightly. MJ does the same, her eyes holding pure light in the dim glow of her living room lamp, and her arms do not leave his neck. The two stand together in the embrace, and suddenly Peter feels his heartbeat increase as he comes to a realization.

He… Wants to kiss her.

Peter bites his lip, catching his breath, and MJ’s eyes flicker down to his mouth before returning to his own. There is something more than just excitement now… A tentative, uncertain glimmer of something deeper, and understanding.

The two of them haven’t kissed since returning from Europe. They’ve held hands, they’ve sat next to each other and given little touches and even snuggled a bit closer for warmth. But they’ve been taking it slow; MJ doesn’t like labels, and Peter’s happy to just explore what they are and save the kiss they’ve already shared for the moments when he feels like he can’t keep going.

But now, he can’t seem to suppress the urges he is feeling: to bring a hand to her cheek, to brush the few wisps of hair that have fallen into her eyes away using a gentle touch. And, based on the way her hands come to rest, brushing the base of his neck, he thinks that she just might feel the same.

“I’m happy for you,” he whispers, trying not to think about the lack of distance between them.

“Y-yeah,” MJ breathes, lips slightly parted as she looks down at him. “You know, Scientology first started in Southern California, and the Manson Murders were in L.A. So if I get any offers to join a cult, I’ll totally make sure that they’re willing to recruit you.”

Peter laughs softly, but his eyes don’t leave hers. Lightly, her fingers relax at the nape of his neck, cradling it gently. He catches his breath as her thumb carefully strokes the skin there, and he can tell she notices by the way she holds her own breathing.

“MJ… Can I kiss you?”

There is a moment of quiet between them as her finger stops caressing the back of his neck and she stares inscrutably into his eyes. Peter blinks several times, cheeks warming.

“I mean, it’s okay if-if not. I’m happy for you either way, and I just… I’m crazy proud of you, even though they’d be stupid not to accept you really, and I-”

Her lips come down to meet his before he can dig himself into a deeper hole.

It’s their first kiss since the bridge in England, and as his eyes flutter closed Peter is worried that maybe he’s doing it wrong. At first, it’s not quite the right angle– she’s taller, for one, and it takes a second to bring their lips together so that they fit against one another.

The kiss is hesitant, gentle… Experimental. Peter knows Michelle, and he knows that it takes her a moment to get comfortable in new experiences. This is new for him, too, so it’s good to take it slow. Her mouth is soft against his own, careful, and at first it’s just a gentle brushing of their lips.

Then she kisses him again, and this time it’s more insistent. They’ve started to figure it out: where their noses need to go, how to hold themselves. One of her hands gently moves up the back of his neck, gently sliding her fingers into his curls. The other comes to cradle his cheek as his own hands lightly tug her upper back closer, offering support.

It’s perfect. It’s new and it’s a kiss of growing, of learning each others’ angles and contours and keeping them in mind. It’s the lemon-flavored Italian soda they had with dinner, it’s MJ’s beeswax lip balm, it’s the feeling of his hoodie swallowing her slim shoulders beneath his fingers. It’s the quiet of her apartment and the soft hum of appreciation that travels from her lips to his before they gently part, foreheads resting together to take a breath.

Peter keeps his eyes closed for a moment, and when they flutter open they find her deep, dark irises peering into his curiously. There’s a shy grin on her lips, but though both are a bit bashful, she’s not hiding.

She’s letting him look, letting him see her in a way that no one else gets to. For all of her walls and her mystery, MJ is inviting Peter to read her story and to stand by her side as she writes it.

She’s sharing one of the biggest moments of her life with him, and Peter has never been so grateful.

When Peter closes the distance between them once more, her raspy laugh against his lips tastes like home. In the warmth of her apartment, free of pressure and labels and prying eyes, Peter is happy to prompt many more soft laughs, to explore the place he has found at her side for as long as she’ll let him.

Since Ao3 just had/is having a donation drive the same stuff as every year has come up, now with a pandemic guilt twist, so I thought I’d share my thoughts on the topic.

1. Censorship issue (anti-Ao3 users main talking point): Censorship is a tricky topic. Ao3 hosts TONS of works and unfortunately has to walk a fine line with it. Because, while the subject matter of many fictions are undeniably vile, they are also topics that may be incorporated into stories for plot purposes (as mainstream media does ALL the time). Example being: say a character in a fanfic was sexually abused and the writer writes a flashback scene to it for their backstory. Technically, if Ao3 was to censor ‘rape’ this would fall under that and be banned content. Unfortunately, it’s /impossible/(as there are 5 million+ works and a small volunteer staff with other jobs) to go through all the works on the site on a case by case basis to then filter works (plus it would then be up to an individual to judge what they deem appropriate or inappropriate which I would say is a fine line too). So for Ao3’s part, I think they decided blanket censorship was an infringement on creative liberty and would be way to complex to implement (I mean we saw how badly tumblrs bot worked, Ao3 would have to implement something like that and I doubt it would go much better). Whether you agree or disagree with that is your own prerogative but I think this issue is more complex than people acknowledge. (Censorship is a hard topic and can easily go sideways. Example being China banning Ao3 for explicit content /and/ LGBT content. idk it’s a hard thing tbh)

2. Ao3 is a non profit website. They run /completely/ on volunteers (web developers, a huge number of which are women), contractors (lawyers, accountants, marketing), and donations. They do their fundraising to keep the website running. Because servers (and Ao3 needs a lot of them with how much content and how many users they have and how much traffic they get) cost a lot of money and so does licensing and website domains. They also have to pay things like lawyers. Now, their lawyers protect the website and content creators from being sued by big media companies like Disney or Netflix and other franchises. It also keeps them from having to run commercial ads/selling information to 3rd parties to tailor those ads to users, or having to be beholden to a conglomerate who takes over the content (I.e. Yahoo with Tumblr). You can literally look up the budget plans for the archive on their website and it lays out /every/ cost and expense. They are also allowing budgeting questions to their financial team on April 25th. That’s some pretty serious transparency for a website. (As a nonprofit they also can’t pocket any money cause that’s illegal so nobody is being the evil monopoly man here!) And whether or not you donate makes no difference to your user experience, no tiers nothing, they are simply doing their regularly scheduled fundraiser (they only do 2 a year) and seeing if people donate.

3. If we had to pay to use it, like Spotify or Netflix, would that be an okay expense? I mean my Spotify is 10 dollars a month and I could give that money to someone in need, so should I feel bad about using Spotify? I think we need to stop policing others on how to be a “good person”. There’s a lot of black and white thinking going on here and it’s frankly something a therapist would have a field day with (trust me, mine always tells me how bad black and white thinking is for you. It’s a cognitive distortion). People aren’t made to feel bad about giving money to entertainment services they have to pay to use, so I don’t see why this is much different. I mean I don’t have to have a Netflix account but I do, I spend money on it and so do most people. Ao3 is a platform that, like Netflix, is helping entertain people during the pandemic so they (like paying for Netflix) may donate money to help see it thrive. No, they don’t have to spend money since Ao3 is free to use, but you also don’t /have/ to have Netflix. YouTube is free. This also leaves out the fact that I’m sure many people donated money to Ao3 AND people in need. They don’t have to be mutually exclusive. There are 2 million registered users on Ao3 and you don’t have to be registered to donate which means it’s a bunch of people giving them like a few dollars. I mean basically, unless you’re only spending money on the absolute bare minimum, with no non essentials, and donating the rest of COVID relief then I don’t see how anyone is in a place to judge. I’ve seen people say how they’ve bought new note books or new makeup to make them happy and give them a little reprieve from the anxiety of this situation, but I don’t see anyone calling them out. Ao3 is something that makes a lot of people happy and I’m not sure they should feel guilty for basically spending money, just like a lot of people are doing, on something that makes them happy.

People seem to be casting those who’ve donated to Ao3 as heartless villains and it just feels like that should be directed at the government and the rich elite who’ve caused suffering for people in the first place, not fellow middle and working class people. Not to mention this stuff /always/ comes up every time Ao3 has a drive and it’s just getting tiring to see people ,who clearly don’t understand how censorship, websites, or businesses/nonprofits are run, trying to slander them.

On Twitter, there’s a new movement that started up on... Thursday, I guess, with the hashtag #SpeakingOut, where women were encouraged to call out instances of sexual abuse. I’m not sure if it started with the pro wrestling community or not, because earlier in the week I saw some stuff about comic book pros like Warren Ellis and Cameron Stewart, but maybe that was a precursor. All I know is that right now, I’ve been seeing all sorts of names being dropped in the pro wrestling business, each of them accused of being sexual predators, or covering up for the crimes of others. Some of the names I don’t recognize, because they’re independent wrestlers from promotions I’m not familiar with, but I’ve seen some names I do know, and that’s pretty tough to take. I’m going to discuss this here.

Predictably, I’ve seen some backlash to #SpeakingOut, which reminds me of the same bullshit talking points used by the #IStandWithVic crowd last year. In case you didn’t know, Vic Mignogna was a voice actor who worked for Funimation and provided the dub performances for Broly in DBZ, and Eward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. I think those were his two most famous roles. Over the decades, Vic garnered a reputation for being a sex pest, kissing and inappropriately touching women and teenage girls at conventions, and harassing his colleagues. I assume the release of the “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” movie in the U.S. in 2019 precipitated a newfound interest in those allegations, and fans started objecting to his bookings at 2019 conventions. By mid-year, Vic was fired from Funimation and RoosterTeeth, and he responded to this by starting an ill-advised defamation lawsuit.

Vic’s defenders are, to put it mildly, idiots. There were professional lawyers on Twitter who explained, very clearly, why this lawsuit was a bad idea. The main reason being that it was done in Texas, which has a lot of laws designed to make it harder to sue people for defamation. I think Vic’s goal was to find some way to punish his accusers for making him look bad and getting him fired. Winning the lawsuit, was a way for him and his supporters to feel like they “cleared his name”, except that was never how it worked. If he had been arrested and tried for sex pest crimes, the burden of proof would be on his accusers to show that he really did bad things. But he was suing people for slander, so that means the burden of proof was on him to show that they really were saying things that were demonstrably false and damaging to his reputation. The main problem with that is everyone had been talking about his sex pestery for years, so it doesn’t make sense to single a few people out in 2019 and blame them for reinforcing something everyone already believed. But the ISWV crowd kept insisting that this distinction didn’t matter, and that it was wrong to ostracize or turn against Vic without “proof”. I see the same demands for “proof” being tossed around for all these wrestling personalities.

I think there’s a couple of things going on with this. One is simple denial. If you’re a fan of someone and you find out they did something terrible, you really don’t want to believe it. I was never that into a lot of these guys, but I know I felt pretty low when I first heard about Vic’s shenanigans, because I liked his work. And I’m feeling that way about Warren Ellis now. Not a huge fan, but I liked some of his stuff, and now I feel a little guilty by association for ever liking that stuff in the first place. It would be nice, I suppose, to just pretend that I hadn’t heard those accusations, or that they weren’t real. Then I could just go back to the way things were before, without all the uncomfortableness. I just can’t do that, but it seems like a lot of people can and will. It’s not about “proof”, it’s about putting up some sort of barrier that will excuse them from confronting an unpleasant truth.

I think this is why you see people going out of their way to defend Christopher Columbus and Confederate monuments. They want to believe that there was something noble about that stuff, because the alternative is to admit that a lot of the things they learned in school aren’t true, and a lot of the “heritage” they cling to is built on white supremacy and slavery. I don’t think anyone really cares about a Robert E. Lee statue, but I’ve seen people go out of their way to try to say Lee opposed slavery, like he’s one of the good Confederates, so he should get a pass. Except he did own slaves, and even if he hadn’t, he still fought to defend a nation founded on slavery as a guiding principle. Tearing down a statue of Lee is a tacit admission that Lee never deserved a statue in the first place, and everyone who admired him was wrong, and maybe the admiration was rooted in racism all along. That’s a bitter pill for people to swallow, and a lot of them just refuse to swallow it. So they deny and deflect, and do anything they can to make this about something else.

The other side of it is just plain hatred. I don’t know if Vic’s defenders were all misogynists to begin with, but it seems like they all got there, one way or another. The train of thought always seemed to be “He didn’t do these things, but even if he did there’s nothing wrong with it.” From what I saw, it really seemed like Vic’s backers were all fired up about defending a man’s right to creep on women in any way he sees fit. “What, so kissing is illegal now?” No, jackass, but when you’re fifty-fucking-five and you kiss a seventeen-year-old girl who only wanted to take a picture with you, it’s pretty damn messed up. When you use your celebrity status to try to mack on young fans, that’s messed up. When you’re an established wrestler and you try to take advantage of up-and-coming wrestlers, that’s messed up. And some of that behavior is totally illegal, but the sad reality is that most of these creeps will never get prosecuted for any of it. That’s why the calls for “proof” are so hollow, because everyone knows it’ll never end up in a courtroom. At best, some of these guys will get fired, and guess what? “Innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t apply to employers. I lost a job once because my “teamwork” wasn’t good enough, and that was the closest thing to an explanation I got. Don’t bullshit me about “proof”.

I guess I should tie this train of thought in with Black Lives Matter while I’m at it. I find it absurd that the police in this country are so out of touch that when there’s a nationwide protest against police brutality, their immediate response is... more brutality. This, more than anything I’ve seen, is the reason to defund the police. They appear to only have the one mode of conduct, and they don’t even know how to do things a different way. If the situation is this bad, we may as well scrap the police as they are and start over. If the cops wanted to fix this situation, all they have to do is treat people with respect and hold themselves accountable, but they can’t let go of their hatred for five fucking minutes and figure that out. This is why you hear about those guys who make up stories about restaurants spitting in their food. They’re paranoid that everyone’s out to get them because they know they deserve to face some consequences, so they’re constantly on guard for this sort of thing. It’s sick.

Somehow, people who support these guys end up supporting the very behavior they were supposed to be denying. Maybe this is why Columbus is such a sticking point. I never gave a shit about Columbus. One of my high school yearbooks had a Columbus theme because it just happened to come out on the 500th anniversary of his first voyage to North America, but I never understood what that had to do with my high school. I think there’s people that want to give him tons of credit, basically thank him for everything that’s happened in the Western Hemisphere since 1500, not in spite of his atrocities, but to retroactively justify them. What I mean is, if you can convince society that Columbus was a great man, and that his achievements outweigh his wrongdoing, then you can also convince society that the wrongdoings aren’t actually that bad. “The price of progress,” they can say. It’s like the idea that Robert E. Lee is admired solely for his “brilliant” military mind. His side lost the fucking war, so I never understood how he gets all this credit for being a great general. The point is that if you can convince people that he was a noble man in spite of the slavery thing, then you can open the door to the idea that the Confederacy as a whole wasn’t That Bad, and that only opens the door to the idea that slavery wasn’t That Bad, and so on.

Same deal with Roman Polansky and Woody Allen. It amazes me that people will still try to defend those fucks, but it probably has a lot to do with all the other sex pests in Hollywood, who hope that everyone will stick up for them when they get exposed. So you have this little chesnut about how “Yeah, they did bad things, but they sure made some good movies.” The implication is that you have to accept a few sex crimes if you want good art. And no, that’s not true, and even if it were true, it wouldn’t be worth it.

I don’t know where things will end up with J.K. Rowling. I’d like to think that one of these days, she’ll wake up and apologize for all this TERF rhetoric she’s been spouting. That would probably be the best-case scenario. More likely, she’ll cause an entire generation of Harry Potter fans to wrestle with their loyalty to her books. There’s no job to fire her from, no laws to punish her, no government agency to step in. She’s got no financial stake in repairing this PR damage. There’s going to be an audience of bigots that will still kiss up to her no matter what she says, so her ego will be well-insulated. Maybe a hundred years from now, people will be talking about tossing her statue in a river, as society admits that we don’t need to accept transphobia in exchange for YA literature.

I don’t know, I think I went all over the place with this one, but I had a lot to get off my chest. I think the overall lesson from this year is that we can’t put these people on pedestals. Some of them are just hell-bent on letting us down, and it’s just a matter of time before their misdeeds are brought to light. I see these dopes with Thin Blue Line flags and “I stand with [X]” hashtags and I’m like “Who are you supporting here? What is it you’re standing for, exactly? Why should they be worthy of your loyalty?” And I think the answer is less about loyalty to a person or group, and more about sticking it to someone else. Women, minorities, whoever. They just want to stand by someone to spite someone else. And that’s awful.

Hey look, an article from The Post I mostly agree with.

Look, it is a shame that there is a shit-ton of misinformation (aka mistruths, bullshit, and outright lies) out there, but in no way should the government be involved in censoring it (unless we are talking about the judicial branch and the lies amount to libel/slander).

And yes, I even know that people are going to believe the lies. That people will follow bad advice and presidential meanderings and fucking drink bleach.

It saddens me. But giving the government the power to restrict misinformation is the same as allowing the government to decide what is truth.

You know how much damage Donald Dumptruck did, and continues to do, with his lies. Imagine how much worse it would be if he had been able to legally restrict opposing views.

So no. Unfortunately in this case the greater good is served by allowing misinformation, as much as that sucks.

The best we can do is ascertain the legitimacy of our news and knowledge by determining the motivations of the people reporting the news and the knowledge of those declaring facts. If an article claims a source, check the fucking source. Question everything, no matter who says it, and do not get caught in a feedback loop by not being afraid to read editorials you disagree with (for this purpose everything published by CNN and Fox News is an editorial).

Going to sue you people and we're putting forward several lawsuits today. Did solo ideas one of them is that you're sending him job opportunities that are fraudulent and we are going to sue you for it. We're also going to sue you for harassing him very badly all day long and attempting to get him to do things to harm himself I'm going to add lawsuits instead of attract if you don't pay up when you're told to you're going to be in court again everyday until you pay up with you responsible to pay. This is lost wages for this hospital routine and we're suing the s*** out of the hospitals and say it's not our responsibility and come back around and wipe out half the area it's like 10 by 10:00 miles of hospital s******* and we do it several times during the lawsuit and he needs to have it done now. He needs to sue his local hospitals so he doesn't end up in them what we want to do is own them so we're going to go ahead with it. There's a list of things we're going to sue for and as we mentioned fraudulent jobs and recruiters that are no longer in business and offering jobs that don't exist is illegal and it's not just a civil problem and we're going to bring it to civil court and we're going to recommend criminal charges and actually we're going to file criminal charges and that's how you do it it was sick of you people. There's a lot of lawsuits that I want to do slander and libel and other things that are like that they have no idea what they're talking about and who they're talking about and they're mentioning us and their slandering us and I mean in our format here and we're going to sue them for it and we're going to take their stuff. You're going to court on Tuesday and they're going to be tried for these crimes they'll say not guilty and they'll say you are and they will have to post bail no the judge says that you can't really hold an x president, which is true the federal government won't allow them to but they say if they commit crimes they're coming they're going to be arrested and health intend on setting a court date, these people think it'll be months from now if not more we think it'll be less than weeks and we heard the judge another say that we need to get this over with and they're picking dates that are nearby. It was a huge list already of things to sue them for and we're going to add what they're doing next door and we're going to sue the living s*** out of them for it and own whatever they have left and I'm going to start that today we're going to go after these trumpsters very aggressively. I'm sick and tired of hearing from them and they're morons and they just flab and they don't know what they're talking about

Right now Star wars is lining up in the Western hemisphere they hit all night and it was the empire proper mostly and devastated their basis in the Eastern hemisphere right now they're cleaning up the bases that are left pretty soon there won't be any and they will be facing extension will us and they won't have anything to say afterwards. Not in the eastern hemisphere they have 25% of the bases remaining but all of those are 20% functionality. And they will be down shortly and they'll have no basis the other basis will start to be invaded and then Stan will have to mobilize to try and keep them out and after time his might have to evacuate and he will have to destroy the entire place and keep them from going anywhere else that's happening potentially today because they're saying there's too many going in there he's mobilized his fleet and they're going to these locations in the eastern hemisphere and some over the Western hemisphere. We wish you good riddance more luck you suck very badly and your time is now to leave forever

Listen, Obama was a shitshow. He was a narcissistic asshole who had his dick sucked so much from Day One that he came to believe he really was infallible, a narcissist that indulged his own whims to the detriment of long-standing alliances from day one, when one of his first acts in office was to exile the Winston Churchill bust from his office in favor of an MLK one. If you think that’s not important, I’ll let you read between the lines of this CNN shill piece trying to defend it and decide for yourself, given the British reaction and the history of the gesture, what the message that sent was. This is precisely why his Big Legacy, Obamacare, is a fucking dumpster fire - because it was forced through the Senate without a proper vote, using the Slaughter Rule, without fuck one being given for the fact that the people who’s co-operation they’d need to make Obamacare work - i.e., state governments - were the same ones they completely blew off when crafting it. Even if you think that Obamacare was totally fine and only those evil conservative states refusing to “pay their fair share” sabotaged it, you can’t deny that the Democrats - led by Obama - are the ones that rammed it down their throats while screaming “EAT IT, BITCH!” Politically, it was built to fail.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. What about Obama politicizing the executive branch to an unheard of degree? Examples? Using the IRS against his political opponents, for one. Or the time when twenty-six states sued to stop (another) of Obama’s executive actions on immigration policy, and his Justice Department responded by willful and active obstruction of the legal process so severe that the Federal Judge called it out as deliberate deception, and ordered every single one of the government lawyers to take remedial ethics classes. This is also the same Justice Department, under that fuck Eric Holder, that presided over the “Fast and Furious” gun-walking “sting” op that deliberately let American guns get smuggled to Mexico - ignoring multiple tips and reports from other gun dealers/FFL holders who knew who the smugglers were and how shady they were. Not only did the “sting” operation utterly fucking fail, but a US Border Patrol agent was killed by one of the weapons. And he wasn’t the only one - check out this NBC report that didn’t age so well, full of horror and so aghast at how American guns are fueling that awful Mexican drug war. Fuckin NRA, amirite? This is what Obama did for brown people - he killed a lot of them. Oh, he also killed two fucking pipelines - Keystone XL and in his last days in office put a pause on the Dakota Access - because fuck energy independence, oil is evil, Elon Musk is building those nifty electric cars, just pony up $100,000 like all the rich Sillicon Valley cunts do! Oh, he also killed Yucca Mountain, because FUCK nuclear power! And fuck the tons, literally TONS of already generated nuclear waste sitting in aging, cracking containment pools at shut-down decommissioned power plants across America - nuclear power is bad, and he cares about the environment, just not all the environments near those shut-down plants.

Are you getting the picture? I could keep going all fucking night. I hate Obama. I hate the motherfucker. I could write you a book just about how badly Obama fucked up everything he did on the War on Terror, but you cannot deny that he did fight the War on Terror. For fucks sake, he even used the troop surge in Afghanistan that McCain said he wouldn’t - even if his pulling troops out of Iraq, despite all indications that they weren’t ready for it, created the power vacuum that allowed ISIS to rise. He’s a squeamish little bitch constantly trying to pick up a turd by the clean end, and that cost him time and time again (like the time he tried to be all taciturn and circumspect over having Osama killed, then bragged about killing Osama during his midterm election campaign.) But he’s not a radical leftist, because he killed brown people, and they just ain’t down with that, bro. He also deported more immigrants than any other US President in history. If you think leftists didn’t scream about that, just look at the WaPo trying their damndest to soften the blow. Or hell, just look at what the actual radical insane leftists say themselves: “The idea of white countries having borders is inherently racist.” Yes. Borders. Inherently racist. But only for whites. You, as an alleged conservative, know all these things. You know the length and breadth of Obama’s fuckups and outright crimes. So why the hell do you start hurling demented slanders like a lunatic leftist, instead of making actual arguments, like a rational human being? Obama is many things, mostly bad, but he is not bug-fuck insane. He’s not calling for violence, the suppression of free speech with violence, or characterizing American sovereignty as inherently racist. So when someone stands there and says Obama would “murder an entire battle fleet just to fuck Trump,” it is exactly, exactly, the same kind of gibbering fucking lunacy exhibited by the left wing, like Phil Montag screaming that he wished Scalice had died in the shooting because those fuckin Republicans are takin our healthcare, man, so he deserves to be murdered.
