I know people love the Fallout Show and I'm probably poking the Hornets nest with this but legit i really can't be assed to watch it

So the Show retcons Fallout New Vegas.

I don't care what some Exec says on Twitter about them not retconning it, they did. Why else would they have destroyed the NCR via a Nuke for some Vault bullshit (one of Todds big fetishes. Yes, Vaults are important to the games but Todd specifically has a weird obsession with them. I cannot explain it well but if you look at FO3, FO4 and FO76 you get the feeling that he wants the Vaults to be of more importance than the world outside in the wastes. That and the weird way of everything that was rebuilt to be destroyed soon after) and the destroyed remains of New Vegas proper in the end credits.

The reasons can be many but the one that is true to me personally is that Todd is, like many other rich white guys, a manbaby who cannot take not being praised as the best.

FNV is and had been a Thorn in his side for years now and I am very sure when I say that the shows "subplot" of everything FNV related in the show being shown as destroyed etc to be nothing more than him finally trying to get rid of this boogeyman that he can't cope with.

At best it's the showrumners being absolute morons about the lore (like fr. If Shady sands was destroyed in 2277 which is the same year as the First Battle of Hoover Dam, would the NCR still expand into the Mojave? Prolly not they'd regroup and mount a defense in California proper against opportunistic enemies like the Legion)

At worst it was, as described above, Todd Howard trying to ruin the last great game in the series (Idc what you think about FO4 it's lame, badly written and the gunplay is just copypaste FPS Slop)

Idk if i wanted to come to a conclusion or anything so

Tl:Dr: don't watch the show, buy new vegas and make Todd mald. Hey I'll even give Mod recommendations to make FNV even more of a blast to enjoy.

Did some Grocery Outlet opportunistic shopping recently and I knew I shouldn't have done it but there were boxes of 72 Fruit Roll Ups for like $7 and I couldn't help myself and I've been binging on them the last two days and I just brought the box to my bf to take it from me... He had just mentioned possibly wanting a couple anyway but he can even throw them away idc lol I just can't have them around me/know where they are. There are few things that I literally cannot have in the house, like Fruit Roll Ups or Fruit by the Foot or Gushers or certain brands of fruit snacks; I cannot control myself, they are my weakness hahaha. A regular 6-count box on my birthday or something could get a pass but this recent purchase was just irresponsible...

All this sugar is almost absolutely the cause of the headache(s) I've been having the last few days too. 😣

Desserts/sweets are the hardest for me in general. If I want to keep a dessert in the house, it's best I keep it to one option at a time too; having multiple options doesn't mean one night I'll have on thing and one night I'll have the other - I'll just eat them in tandem lol.

I did get back to the gym a couple days ago which was really nice, felt good to revalidate that part of myself. The prior week I had been at the lake and the week before that I had taken time resting from serious DOMS I caused at my previous workout. I just went way too hard on my abs and they're a more neglected muscle group for me as it is, so I was literally sore for a week (meaning the first few days were especially awful). I had wanted to get back for another workout today but it's going to be tomorrow instead, but that works out actually (no pun intended) since I have a half day at work.

From Tuesday. Just did general whole body workout to kick out the cobwebs, and I did not go too hard on my abs or anywhere else this time lol.

RAAAAH I got a job interview for my dream career field, my autism evaluator is deciding how Afflicted and Afflicted with what I am, I'm well rested, and I've had a great time talking to people today! I believe I am finally blinded by the hubris of my victories enough to tell you (and whoever may be following the saga of my ramblings in your askbox) what my Latest Fixation is! 👉👈 so...The show is called Longmire. It's an American, contemporary western, crime drama from 2012 based on the book series of the same name. It follows the titular Sheriff Walt Longmire as he tries to get his life together after the loss of his wife and solve crimes in his county and whatever he can around the neighboring Native American Reservation.

I say "whatever he can" bc The Reservation isn't actually within his jurisdiction and he's barely allowed to be there, bc they have their own police force, and THAT'S where THE GUY I keep trying to tell you about without telling you about comes in!

👉👈so...he's Tribal Police Chief Mathias Clark. Yeah I gotta say the whole thing.

We're first introduced to him when he tries to beat the ever-loving cowboy out of our protagonist for daring to show his face on The Reservation after arresting his boss, the previous Tribal Police Chief (albeit for crimes he did commit, but Walt didn't even wait for the federal police like he was supposed to, but...it was complicated, ok?)

I think he walks this nice line between upholding the law above all else; doing things often more by-the-book than any other character; being calculated and calm and sane (...despite that introduction); and, at the same time, being fiercely protective of his people and culture; considering Sheriff Walt and co. to be opportunistic, reckless, disrespectful threats and scarcely cutting them any slack and still giving them trouble when he finally does in any investigations that may lead them onto his jurisdiction; being willing to kick and bite (and occasionally blackmail, uh oh) to achieve everything he can for the good and well-being of his people on The Reservation, even if the people refuse to trust another Police Chief, or if it may cost someone else.

Ultimately, he holds the law in a very high regard but holds his people and culture higher. He's very limited in what he can do, as a tribal police chief, and he's set on being fair, but he'll do anything he possibly can to make The Reservation safe and ensure the people on it a good future. <3

Also he's got a lot of attitude and sass and is constantly mad at Walt and loves his people sm and its very endearing and funny and also don't fact check anything I've said today with a real long-time fan of the series unless I made him sound unlikable, I hope you're doing well plz take care okay bye AGAGGHAAAAA THE POST RANT CLARITY-

i was going through A Time when reputation came out and i ate that shit up because, admittedly, there was a lot i didn't know/understand yet and my music taste wasn't as varied as i thought. but looking back on it, it's okay sonically and she has some good runs, but i don't see it as this epic comeback album. it's just another taylor album. then she puts out lover and that's pretty okay, but then she puts out back to back albums (and the worst song no one liked on lover was the precursor apparently, which says a lot) of songs that all sound vaguely the same and just aren't great lyrically, and she's constantly re-releasing songs and now has midnights and it's like lady, pls, just stop. give people time to breathe. you're cramming all this into a clearly packed schedule because you wanted it to line up with your themed tour, but now you just look opportunistic and desperate, and you're even more annoying.

taylor swift has never handled a pr incident well in her entire career because her strategy is to just bury whatever story comes out and ignore it so it goes away. then later it was to deflect and shift blame before ignoring it completely. neither is a good look and just makes people who already don't like her dislike her even more. like. you're not winning anyone new over with that attitude and approach to wrongdoing. if you were so great and awesome you would, like, accept accountability and do better? it's not hard and, if anything, HELPS her image because she's being honest, transparent, and responsible.
