Hey, major spoilers for ‘Sam and Max: The Devil’s Playhouse’ (305) under the cut.

TLDR: My interpretation of the ending, one angsty and one less so.

Something something, they don’t care if a million not-quite-right copies exist or what form the other comes in, because they only care about the “Real” versions of each other.

So either the duo will never really be whole ever again (the angst route), or this is the truest form of acceptance (“You are still you, exactly how I knew you’d be, exactly how we’ve always been.”)

Finishes Sam & Max: Save the World! Absolutely getting the next two games (well. The Devil's Playhouse when it releases), I enjoyed this one a lot. Like I knew I was gonna like it, I've seen clips on YouTube but it just caters to my sense of humor so well. Why am I Max. He's such a chaotic little shit I love him.

I don't think Beyond Time & Space is gonna be the next game I play, I wanna give myself a break + there's some achievements I need to get from Save the World first.

Between sessions of enthralled study, the beckon for a lounge became a better and better sounding respite for warm eyelids and fingers perpetually fixed into the position to turn a page.

Within the humid confines of the stone sauna made for an oddly refreshing abode - eyelids feeling comfortably heavy, after the healthy time they'd spent staring into browned parchment and aged ink print, and their backs finally able to stretch after having been hunched over academic texts and historical accounts. Their leisure period was useful for both pit-stopping their continuously running minds and reflecting on what they had learned. . .

What proved jarring, if equally oddly-refreshing the same, was on one's exit of the sauna - warmed, dewy flesh whipped by the biting cold. . . Shivers shot up spines, immediate goosebumps ran on skin, and mildly-moistened hair frizzed up at the sudden shift in temperature.

At the very least, they'd experienced the best of either climate’s comfort, and more importantly could amusedly poke at each other's similarly freshly-fluffed fur following the use of a vigorously applied towel.

Some fluffed up Sammy Macks and then some for a sauna scene in the book because I have needs. Mwah
