You watch as he swipes his tongue across it, a surprised expression on his face and an agreeance right after of the sugary flavor.

“Come here”, he says, dipping your chin down to come closer to his, “let me taste yours, maybe it’s different” he chides, asking you so temptingly for a kiss.

“Sylus- it’s your birthday….and you don’t have to ask.” You joke, meeting his lips sweetly over and over.

“That’s right, how observant sweetie.” He whispers against your ear, sarcastic as ever as he nibbles at your lobe to hear the breathy moans escaping your lips grow louder.

“It is my birthday.”

Before you have time to respond, your body gently hits the grass and your back on you tree.

Sylus’s soft kisses grow more insistent, slowly descending down your neck down to your chest- unzipping your jacket and pulling your dress up to peck at your stomach and its soft plush. A Year In the Life (P7)

Days were pretty much uniform at the Onychinus base. There might be some special missions, some variation on what needs to get done, but otherwise one day was like any other.

Which is why it came as a shock when you found out that today Sylus had cleared out the entire schedule.

“Why?” you asked him when he announced the news at breakfast (at least, you called it breakfast despite the hour you ate). “I’m pretty sure I remember you saying you had some important meetings coming up.”

“Well, some things take precedence over that, my dear,” Sylus responded in that cool tone when things should be obvious. “I rescheduled what I need to do to free up the day.”

“Why?” you asked again. “Is something wrong?”

“Not at all.” The playful smirk on Sylus’ face made you wonder if there was need for concern. “In fact, you’ll find out why in just a few moments.”

It was then you noticed the twins’ absence at the table. It wasn’t abnormal for them to be late, but Sylus’ cryptic message made it seem suspicious. “Did the twins finally pull you into one of their pranks? Because if I have to spend all day cleaning up their mess-”

Sylus chuckled, cutting you off. “No actually, it’s quite the opposite.”

You only had a moment for the thought Huh? to cross your mind before the doors burst open and the twins came barreling in with… party hats and noisemakers tucked strangely in their masks?

“Happy birthday!!” they yelled in unison.

What??? You turn to Sylus, who’s pinching the bridge of his nose and muttering something about idiots. “It’s not my birthday.”

“Don’t worry, we’re well aware,” Luke chirped happily.

“But it’s another yearly celebration we hold near and dear to our hearts,” Kieran added in a bit of a dramatic tone.

“It’s the day you appeared at our home, darling,” Sylus explained.

Wait… really? Admittedly you weren’t in a good mindset when you first arrived - you had been killed by a truck only to wind up in a world you thought was a video game. You were going through grief, denial, and an existential crisis.

Yet… they remembered. They considered it an important enough event to spend the day celebrating it, even if you didn’t feel the same. It left you speechless, trying to come up with something to say and coming up blank.

The twins giggled at your stunned expression. “Looks like we got her good boss,” Luke said cheekily.

The feel of Sylus’ hand on yours snapped you out of your trance and brought your focus on him. “I know we threw you on this without warning,” he spoke in that velvety voice that made you melt, “but would you do us the honor of celebrating the day the most important person in the world came into my life?”

Your face warmed at his words and the twins audibly awed. Turning your hand so you could interlock your fingers with his, you gave him a soft smile. “Well, when you say it so sweetly, how can I refuse?”

And that’s how you found yourself taking what you thought was a completely normal day and having a nice day out.

After breakfast, the four of you headed out for Linkon City to hang out at the Game Center. Luke and Kieran, ever the supposed men of mystery, wore sunglasses and black face masks, giving you pandemic flashbacks.

You and Sylus got duo cards and were your respective Gaming Buddies, the twins being their own Gaming Squad. You had a lot of fun playing with each other, especially at the shooting game. It was very similar to laser tag and the top dogs at Onychinus took out the enemies with ruthless efficiency. You just tried to follow along and shoot who you could.

Once you had all worn each other out, you left and went to get snacks at Meow’s Cafe. You’d hoped you could visit here someday. The Evol kitties were even cuter in person and you cooed at them more than you focused on the food.

Sylus pretended to be pouty at the lack of attention, which you responded by putting a kitty on his head. To his dismay and your delight, the kitty was perfectly fine staying there. You made sure to take plenty of pictures as the twins cracked up.

The time slipped by quicker than you expected, and the next thing you knew, you were strolling through Azure Center as the sunset painted the sky a beautiful mural of colors.

“We’ll be taking the bike,” Sylus spoke, breaking the silence. “Luke, Kieran, you take the car.”

“Wait, what?” Sure enough, when you looked, Sylus’ motorcycle was parked in front of the car you came in. You turned to him. “How did you get the bike here?”

His only response was a smirk as he tossed your helmet towards you. “Ready?”

You sighed, reluctant to go on what you termed the death machine, but put on your helmet. “I swear, these surprises are going to be the end of me.”

You couldn’t make out a lot of your trip. The scenery blew by and the wind roared in your ears. You just hugged Sylus’ torso and squeezed your eyes shut, waiting for the ride to be over.

Finally, the bike rolled to a stop. You swung off the bike, took off your helmet, and took a look at your surroundings. There was a peaceful forest area. The light hit the trees from the left side. A place near Linkon that was naturistic and towards the north… were you at the outskirts?

That was all you got before a piece of cloth covered your eyes. “What- Sylus!” you exclaimed, hands raising to move the cloth away.

The cloth tightened a bit, as if a warning. “Ah ah ah,” Sylus’ voice was tinted with amusement, “you wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, would you?”

Somewhat reluctantly, you dropped your hands. “I hope it’s not too far,” you responded, “because I won’t be getting far like this.”

“You won’t have to worry about that.”

“What do you-” You were cut off by your own yelp as you felt strong arms sweep you off your feet, throwing your center of balance askew before you rested in his arms princess style.

“Sylus! Warn me next time!” you scolded.

You felt the rumble of his chest as he chuckled, and soon after that steady footsteps. “I’ll be sure to, daring. For now, enjoy the ride.”

“Dork,” you said with no zing, settling in his arms and letting the atmosphere creep in. The cool breeze was being kept from chilling you from the body heat Sylus provided. The wildlife settled with the growing night, the light chattering making soothing background noise. You felt that eventually, you could’ve fallen asleep there.

It was a bit of a surprise when you felt Sylus come to a stop. This time you were prepared for the shift in balance as he set you down. “I’m guessing we’re here?” you guessed.

You felt a slight pressure on your blindfold. “Ready?” Sylus prefaced before the darkness was removed from you. The sight made your breath catch in your throat.

You were brought to a cliffside overlooking Linkon City. The lights of the nightlife made the buildings sparkle. Laid out on the grass was a blanket, allowing comfort for watching.

You turned to Sylus, whose eyes were fixed on you with a tender softness. “When did you do this…?”

He gave you a knowing smile. “I took the long way here and had the twins set this up ahead of time.” He gestured towards the blanket. “After you, my lady.”

Unable to hide your smile, you sat down on the blanket and stared out at the city. You felt Sylus sit next to you and you leaned on his side. Together you gazed at the landscape of Linkon.

“It’s beautiful,” you murmured softly.

“I thought you might like it,” Sylus responded with equal quietness.

Your eyes drifted up to the sky. “It’d be nice to see the stars. All this light pollution doesn’t help much.”

“I’ll be sure to remember that next time.” You laughed softly.

“Picture it,” Sylus continued, waving his hand across the sky. “We’re laying on the blanket, looking up and seeing endless stars. The entire universe displayed for us to see.”

You let out a content sigh. “This has been the best day, Sylus.”

He turned to look at you. “I didn’t realize it at the time, but my best day was one year ago.” He brushed the side of your face. “Because you appeared.” A light blush adorned your face and you glanced away bashfully.

An idea started growing in your head. “Hey, Sylus?” He looked at you quizzically.

You turned to face him. “I have a surprise for you.”

His eyebrows shot up a bit and he gave an amused smirk. “Really? I doubt you had the time to procure something for me.”

“Well, I’ll show you,” you answered, “but now it’s time for you to close your eyes.”

His amusement grew but he complied, closing his eyes.

You took a breath to steady yourself. C’mon, don’t be a coward.

You slowly pushed yourself up and positioned yourself so you were straddling Sylus.

His breath hitched like a gasp. He murmured your name like a prayer. His eyelids flickered, threatening to open.

You knew that if you looked into his eyes, you would lose confidence and shy away. So you quickly covered his eyes with your eyes. “I said don’t look…”

His lip quirked a bit as if he was holding back a laugh, but he settled back, letting you have your way.

You suddenly remembered Sylus’ Night of Secrecy card, where he had covered MC’s eyes in a similar fashion. A smile of your own threatened to spread. You forced the moment of humor down. This wasn’t the time for that.

You moved closer to Sylus, eyes locked on his lips. It was a bit awkward trying to get a good angle with your hand covering his eyes.

You sat there for a long moment, your breaths mingling together. Don’t be a coward. You gently pressed your lips on his.

Sylus had always been careful about kisses. He’d kiss your face, your head, your hands, and sometimes up your arms if he was feeling playful. But he didn’t kiss anywhere he didn’t think you were comfortable with, especially not the lips.

You didn’t have a lot of experience in this and you were certain it showed in your uncertainty. Sylus, however, was shown again to be your perfect match. He shared your gentleness, guiding you on how you should act.

Eventually, you drew away and you looked in each other’s eyes, breathing deep and shaky.

Sylus looked at you like you had hung the stars in the sky. “My treasure…”

You swallowed, trying to push down your nerves. “Sylus… I think… I’m ready to start a real relationship with you.”

His eyes widened in shock and scanned you as if looking for assurance. And despite your nerves, you were.

All this time he had been giving you his affection and you had accepted it. But tonight confirmed to you that you wanted more from this. You wanted to return his love. There had been some bumps on the way, but you were ready and wanting to give your love to him.

Sylus breaks into a grin. Not a typical smirk or his rare soft smile, but a full-out grin of complete and utter joy.

Without hesitation, he gently grabbed your face and pulled you in for another kiss. It seemed as if he poured all his love, his longing, every fiber of his being into this kiss.

It felt overwhelming. You couldn’t keep up with him. You returned the kiss, but did so gently without trying to match his fervor. Thankfully it had the effect you wanted. Sylus lessened the intensity so it turned from passionate to tender.

When you broke, he gazed at you with the most lovestruck expression you had ever seen. “You just made me,” he said, sounding a bit breathless, “the happiest man in existence.”

You laughed a bit. “I’m glad you enjoyed my ‘thank you’ so much.”

He pulled you into an embrace. “If I could live forever in this moment, I would.”

You closed your eyes and took a moment to feel him. His warmth, his comfort, his strength.

“I love you Sylus,” you whispered into the wind.

“And I love you, my treasure,” Sylus whispered back.

With that, this is the last part of the Yan!Sylus series! I might still take requests, but I’m not planning on writing anymore. I’m not entirely happy about how this turned out (can you tell I have zero experience in the subject?) but hopefully you guys like it. I hope you’ve enjoyed this series!

My emotional journey through Magnum Opus in chronological order:

Rambling gushing word salad about the card and especially SylusMC + a small tangent on MC's bathroom below 🤗

SylusMC you mean the world to meeee 😭💘 the icons, the legends, they are the MOMENT.

Their dynamic is everything. They're both so effortlessly funny. I love their banter, their sassiness, their matching energy, their push and pull. I love their progression, them being losers in love too stubborn and proud to be direct but having their own love language that only they can understand, them being disgustingly love drunk and tenderly cradling each other's faces whilst admiring the features of their beloved. Each literally holding their whole world in their hands. And I love how happy they both are to just be in one another's presence. Sylus in particular is laughing and smiling and radiating unadulterated joy the whole way through.

This is now officially my favorite card. It's sitting at the head of the table, Grassland, NoS and Nightplumes close by (and soon to be joined by Sylus' birthday card, I suspect).

This memory made me feel so many things. I giggled. I laughed. I squealed. I got choked up. I cried.

Magnum Opus just reinforces what a comforting character Sylus is. With every fiber of his being, he adores MC. Worships her. There is nothing he won't do to make her happy. He'd drop everything for her. Burn the whole world down, if she so desired. He does all in his power and more to make her feel loved and cherished. His love for her is so pure and so deep and so sweet and so beautiful that I get choked up just from thinking about it.

And the same goes for MC's feelings for Sylus. She loves him as fiercely, wholeheartedly, and unconditionally as he loves her. She dgaf about his status or his wealth. She loves him for being him, pure and simple. She craves him and his company. She understands him and she sees the true beauty of his soul. She is loyal and protective. She hates and fumes when others talk ill of him or even act slightly rude towards him. And, just like Sylus, she would burn the world down for her beloved.

I will never stop crying about these two and how beautiful their relationship is 😩

Another thing that makes me cry — as well as laugh — is Sylus getting jealous of a mannequin, and also him apparently finding THIS bathroom

too small 😭😭 tf does his bathrooms look like to make him consider THIS massive bathroom with whole-ass furniture, a wide window, and a pumpkin(lol wtf) plus a bathtub big enough for two grown people, SMALL and cramped? Are his bathrooms Roman bathhouses or smt?

Anyway, I now firmly believe he keeps roasting her "small" apartment solely to make her move in with him instead fhshjdhd smh 😭

One other thing though... how did Sylus ever manage to hit his head on a cabinet in that bathroom? I guess it just reinforces how huge Sylus is. You'd have to be to manage a feat like that in MC's bathroom. I do sort of suspect though that he did it on purpose just so MC could pamper him dhdjfj

Anyway, Magnum Opus is a masterpiece. She will forever be famous 💖

Flashback 

Zayne wanted to make your birthday special. 

He knew how tough of a year it had been for you, he just wanted to make your birthday a day that you would remember and treasure for years to come.

Now Zayne didn’t do anything without taking the time to think it through first; that’s why he was so particular when it came to picking out birthday presents for you. 

Normally he would’ve brought you books but you had more than enough of those that you could’ve started your own little library and he knew Tara had brought you a small collection of books already. 

Besides, he always brought you books for your birthday.

This year he wanted to do something different, aware that your relationship wasn’t the same as it was before. 

So he brought you your favourite chocolates, a bouquet of your favourite flowers and he’d even created a scrapbook that you so often talked about making, filled with all of the photos you two had taken recently. 

But then he saw a beautiful heart shaped diamond necklace with a snowflake hanging in the center of it. 

He knew you’d love it; but despite knowing that, he didn’t buy it when he first saw it. 

It wasn’t because of how much it cost; he was more than willing to pay any sum of money for a gift for you, but it was what this gift in particular meant. 

It was a symbol of how he truly felt about you….

Of how much he cared for you.

Of how much he loved you.

There were so many times where he wanted to say those three words to you; when you were cuddled up by his side on the sofa during a movie marathon, when you met up for your weekly coffee catch-up, when you were in a photo booth taking picture after picture. Or whenever you came into the hospital injured after a mission, worrying him half to death. 

He’d  been too scared to tell you of his feelings then, fearful that it could ruin the friendship he valued so highly.

But when he saw you the following day; he kept having the urge to say those words, of course he didn’t, he didn’t think randomly blurting it out in the middle of a conversation would’ve been the best of ideas. 

The day after that though, he brought the necklace without hesitation, and with a simple plan in mind. 

He was going to make your birthday the best he could possibly make it. 

And he was going to tell you how he really felt about you.

“It’s one of your birthday presents; you have to wait for the rest,” he explained, placing his glasses down on the sideboard next to him, before pulling his phone from his pocket and quickly typing away a message in response to the pinging sound his phone had been making the last few minutes. 

“The rest?” The surprise in your voice was followed with a quizzical look; not being able to help but wonder how many presents he’d gotten you; you hadn’t expected anything from him except a card and a book, the same as what he got you every year.

He simply gave you a small smile followed by a nod, urging you to open the box in your hand.

“Zayne, it’s gorgeous…” you breathed, completely in awe of the gorgeous necklace sitting in the black velvet box you were holding.

The longer you stared at it, the more you felt the butterflies in your stomach swarming. 

It was stunning, the most beautiful necklace you’d ever laid eyes on.

You couldn’t quite believe he was giving this to you as a gift, the brand name alone was enough for you to know that it certainly couldn’t have been  cheap. 

“Turn around,” Zayne said softly, snapping you out of your thoughts, putting his phone down next to his glasses before delicately lifting the necklace from its box. 

You did as he said and turned around whilst he unclasped the silver clasp of the necklace before gently hanging it around your neck.

You were trying to ignore how the slightest touch of his fingers on your skin sent the butterflies in your stomach into a frenzy.

It wasn’t often Zayne touched you, much to your own disappointment, but when he did, you felt like your body was on fire, which was odd seeing as his hands were usually so cold. 

When you turned around to face him, you saw his eyes were fixed on you while a smile was tugging at his lips.

You loved it when he smiled at you like that. 

“Beautiful,” he complimented, making heat fill your cheeks. 

Zayne would often do this, give you little compliments like this, and everytime you had the same reaction. 

You should’ve been used to it by now, shouldn’t have let yourself be so affected by some kind words, but you couldn’t help it. 

When those words came from Zayne, they made your heart skip a beat. 

You felt something between you as you both stood there, a tension that you’d felt many times before but had tried hard to ignore, though admittedly that was getting harder and harder to do because of how frequently these feelings were occurring. 

You stared at each other for a while in silence; like you were trying to read the other's mind; to understand what the other was feeling.

“Zayne-” you whispered, breaking the silence, suddenly becoming aware of how close you were to one another.

He opened his mouth to reply to you; but then his phone started ringing, killing the tension that had been burning between you both. 

“I’m sorry, it’s work,” he apologized with a sympathetic look in his eyes as he picked it up from the sideboard.

You knew what that meant. 

“It’s okay,” you smiled reassuringly at him, “I’ll see you later right?”

You hated how needy you sounded with that last part of your sentence; but you wanted to spend time with him today….even if it was just for a few more moments. 

“Of course, nothing could make me miss tonight,” that was the last thing he said to you before leaving your apartment. 

Work always came first, for the both of you…

That was the part of the problem when it came to the two of you; a work-life balance was hard to keep when your jobs required so much of you at any hour of the day. 

You were just heading to your bedroom to start getting ready for tonight, until you heard a knock at your door.

That’s when you saw Zaynes glasses still on the sideboard; you couldn’t help but chuckle to yourself, remembering every time prior that Zayne had left his glasses at your apartment.

“Y/n,” you heard your name called again from the otherside of the door; you were anxious to open it, knowing who was hiding in the closet next to it, but you also knew that not opening the door wasn’t an option either. 

If you didn’t answer the door, Zayne would worry, and the last thing you wanted to do was make him worry about you. 

You took a deep breath in, before opening the door. 

“Are you okay?” Zayne asked softly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took a step towards you. 

“I’m fine,” you assured him with a smile, feeling the pang of guilt in your chest, “I was just trying to work out what to wear for tonight.” 

You felt bad for lying to him, but how could you explain that the leader of Onychinus was hiding in your apartment after nearly kissing you?

Thankfully he didn’t push any further.

“I forgot my glasses,” he stated, nodding over to the sideboard where his glasses still were, “Also, I take it you haven’t checked your phone,”

“No…Why?” You asked, handing Zayne his glasses back before trying to remember where the hell you’d put your phone.

“Tara’s on her way here, her friend at the bar said it’s getting busy and that we should all meet earlier if we want to stand a chance of getting a table,”

‘Shit,’ you thought to yourself. 

How could you leave your apartment knowing that Sylus was still in the coat closet….

“I need to change-” at least that could buy you some time to somehow sneak Sylus out without anyone noticing, you didn’t know how, but you could leave him in there.

“No time,” Tara called out, running to Zaynes side, “we need to go, now,”

“Tara-”

“Cmon,” Tara pleaded, practically pulling you out of your apartment, “besides you already look amazing, doesn’t she, Doctor Zayne?”

He nodded in agreement, whispering, “you always do,” in your ear before watching Tara start dragging you down the hall and out of the building. 

His words echoed through your mind and made an all too familiar warm and fuzzy feeling fill your heart.

Syrup, Stardust & Sylus (Sylus x gn reader)

Sylus never liked birthdays. In fact he loathed them - despised them and absolutely did not care about them. His birthdays in particular. I mean he's never needed a wait for his birthday to celebrate - he has everything he could ever want.

He hadn’t said it outright, but in the quiet spaces between his words, in the way he always brushed off the date with a shrug and a cold glance at the calendar, you’d picked up on it. The way he avoided attention. The way his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes when people said “happy birthday.”

So, when the day arrived, you didn’t throw him a party. You didn’t book a flashy dinner or post anything public. Instead, you took his hand and guided him through the zoo, just the two of you. No crowds. No pressure.

Just soft autumn wind, amber sunlight filtering through rust-red maple leaves, and the distant sounds of animals dozing in their enclosures.

“I still don’t get why we’re here,” Sylus said, though he followed you willingly.

“Because it’s your birthday. And I wanted to give you something you’ve never had before,” you said, brushing your thumb across the back of his hand.

He gave you a look — guarded, but curious.

You led him to the edge of the zoo's private botanical reserve. There, hidden among the trees, was a quiet picnic area. A worn wooden bench. A soft blanket. No crowds. Just nature, you, and him. A cake you baked yourself. A handwritten card.

And the maples.

They stood tall and proud, tapped with little spouts and buckets collecting golden syrup. Drops fell slowly — lazy and thick — catching the light like warm honey.

“They’re tapped,” he said softly. “Real syrup trees?”

You nodded, watching his eyes catch the sun.

“You said once you’d never seen it like this before. I thought it might be... special.”

He didn't speak at first. Just walked to one of the trees, fingers ghosting along the bark, expression unreadable.

“I stopped celebrating my birthday a long time ago,” he said quietly. “It never felt like mine.”

You didn’t push. You just stepped up beside him and said, “Then let’s make this one the first that is.”

He looked at you, and for the first time that day, the wall cracked — not all the way, but enough to let a little sunlight through. He smiled. A real one.

You spent the next while tucked together on the blanket, watching syrup drip steadily from the trees. When Sylus wasn't looking, you reached up and gently dipped a finger against a tap, collecting a small drop of syrup.

Then, as he turned back to you, curious, you reached forward and smeared the syrup gently across his lips.

His eyes widened. “What was that for?”

“I wanted to sweeten the moment,” you said with a grin. “And... maybe steal a kiss.”

Sylus tilted his head, eyes dark and full of something soft. “You could’ve just asked.”

He leaned in, syrup-slicked lips brushing against yours, slow and deliberate. Warm. Sticky. Perfect.

The kiss deepened, sweet and golden like the trees around you, like everything you wished this birthday could be for him.

When he pulled back, he whispered, “This… this feels like something I want to remember.”

You smiled. “Then let’s make a tradition out of it.”

His fingers found yours, lacing together gently.

“Only if you promise to kiss me like that every year.”

“Deal,” you said, brushing your lips against his again — one more kiss for the birthday he finally let himself have.

MANIFESTING 2025 Memories

Because we were absolutely FERAL and manifested smex cards, I'm gonna put my ideas for cards/banners/events out there for the Infold team - who I think we can all agree, browse social media and see our collective mental breakdown on the regular.

Some kind of astronomy banner/event with a nod to astrology. They have the boys zodiac signs listed, they know the astrology girlies would eat it UP. Maybe an event exploring a planetarium and there's a booth for a zodiac analysis with special dialogue to associate with your zodiac sign & his. I want to witness Zayne being told how much of a Virgo he is while also being reminded I am also very much a Virgo. Thanks.

Summer beach event with SWIMWEAR for both the boys & MC. I know they probably won't want to give us MC in a swimwear (for many reasons), but imagine the possibilities (full coverage bikini, tankini, dress or skirt coverup, rash guard, etc) which we could buy in the chocolate shop. And then do cute lil beach photo shoots...

Speaking of chocolate shop - PUT MORE OUTFITS IN THERE CAUSE DAMN... I know there must be people drowning in chocolate if you've got everything already. Also, we grind for it for a reason, give us more thingies please & thank you.

And speaking of outfits... if we see that red shirt show up in one more memory... Listen, personally I like the outfit, the choker is cute and it suits MC, but FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY GIVE US MORE! The boys get hot fits on the regular with events, let MC have MORE!

Oh and circling back to grinding tehe can Abyssal Chaos be reset when Caleb comes home? It would be really cool and stuff... There's only so much we can do and I KNOW WE HATE TOBIAS BUT, to be so real, I think we would all deal with him if it meant free resources.

HEAR ME OUT - a spring Renaissance Fair. I can't get the image of Sylus in armor doing a jousting contest out of my head (fanfic incoming?!) and MC in a cute lil medieval hunters outfit. Give us that time travel shit again and I will give all my money. Rafayel critiquing medieval art, Zayne conflicted about using modern medicine & OOH Xavier accidentally getting drunk on strong af mead HELLO?

MC won a bet, the boys have to do something - I've seen some fanfics, I KNOW okay. Put Rafayel in a maid outfit and Infold, you will have enough money to support yourself through 5.0!

Similar to the bet concept, a prank war. Each boy would prank MC so differently so it would be a really funny group event. Like Rafayel would not hold back, he would probably end up making MC mad. Xavier would be super silly with it, old school pranks and MC would be trying to do more modern pranks. Zayne would be hesitant to prank her, but would, only because she pranks him first. And I SWEAR Sylus wouldn't pull a single prank, but the ANTICIPATION would be MCs undoing.

Since we didn't get a Halloween event, might I suggest a Friday the 13th event? First Friday the 13th is in June and methinks that is the perfect time for something SPOOKY. Monster boys. That's all I gotta say. Make em classic horror monsters - WE KNOW YOU CAN YOU MADE THEM CATS FFS - and I will slam my credit card on the table.

Specific to the Boys:

Sylus: - I wanna be on his bike again. Please, I beg, biketok is going away and this is all I'll have (dramatic). Take me on that "joyride" baby! - I want angst. I want MC to come face to face with the consequences of being so close to Sylus. Either the Association coming down on her for her associating with him OR Sylus's enemies making a HUGE MISTAKE and coming after her to get to him. - More big dick gang leader Sylus. Show me his brutal side, WE LOVE IT AND NEED TO BE REMINDED OKAY?!

Rafayel: - MC models for him. Maybe for his birthday event? His "gift" is us modeling for a painting and it turns spicy. The multitude of fanfics speak volumes to how well this would go over. - Please PLEASE give us Rafayel with a tail. Just spend the money, render that beautiful bitch and give us an H20 "oh no I got wet, ahhh my tail" moment. I beg.

Xavier: - COOKING CLASSES. I feel like it was hinted at in the prologue for the Love Tour event, but I would love to see them in a class together. Just domestic cuteness. - ANGST ON HO HO NO... Can we have an actual Sleeping Beauty moment? Xavier falls into a deep sleep thanks to a Wanderer and MC can't wake him up. Then you go all Inception on us and MC enters his dreams to wake him up. You could feed us so much lore disguised as "just a dream" or even have MC discover some truths about his past.

Zayne: - Exchange program. MC gets to experience the other side. She works with the combat medics to gain more knowledge which will help her on the field. Maybe another "hands on training" moment withe Zayne (I MISSED THAT CARD, IT'S ONLY FAIR INFOLD). - ANGST PLEASE - MC has to have surgery after a mission. Maybe it is minor, or maybe make it major and have us cry. And Zayne has to walk his fellow doctors through the procedure because his hands are shaking so badly at the thought of losing the love of his life. (crying) - Two words. Library make-out. I will give you two more. Library smex. Give our nerdy girls the fantasy, TRUST.

For Caleb, I do hope his first card is really sweet or insanely heavy. Make a statement cause people either love him or hate him and those undecided will make up their minds with that card. He didn't get blown up for nothing, give the boy a chance.

I'm so upset right now! The event is almost over, and I was so over the moon pulling the card for Sylus. Now, here I am finally, finally having enough gems to pull in order to get Zayne... Tell me why the Fudgecake did I get back Sylus!?

Is this some kind of joke? As someone who can't buy packs and make in game purchases, my blood boils when shit like this happens (this has happened before).

Why say you're guaranteed to get the card and you don't get it! I really wanted that Zayne card. Lyssa's birthday is this Saturday, and mine is just a few days after, so this would have been a nice pre birthday present to us both.

Now, I'm sad and pissed and going to sleep before I get a migraine.

GOD THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!! I made more than 70 pulls for Zayne's New 5 Star Card and STILL DIDN'T GET IT. I even got a repeated Sylus's 5 star card. Will keep trying until the event ends but my chances are LOW. I don't have enough diamonds to wish and I don't think I can get them in time. I already watched on YouTube because his birthday is today but MAN:My villain origin story will be missing BOTH OF THE ZAYNE KISSING CARDS (Snowy Serenity and Eternal Attachment). I am LOSING MY SHIT. I hope we get a rerun eventually and I can get them because this thought is the only hope keeping me sane(I imagine we will have one since the cards we didn't got still appear on falling for you)

Hi:) I made a post with the same questions I'm about to put in here, but then deleted it since I thought I'll be guaranteed to get an answer if I just ask you.

I've been playing MLQC since its launch. To be honest, haven't kept up with the story in years and only continue playing and logging in to get Shaw's cards, but I do know how the game works like the back of my hand.

A few days ago I saw Sylus for the first time on X, and the minute I did I began to debate whether or not I should install Love and Deepspace. Just so I can see what he's like. He's very attractive, and he seems charismatic and mysterious too lol

However, before I decide to download and make a potential commitment, I want to know a few things first. 99% of my questions are general questions, while the other 1% isn't :P

What's the game like? (gameplay, mechanics, options, daily tasks(?), currencies, gacha, etc.)

Are there similarities to MLQC? (gameplay-wise, content, dailies, wish tree, events, etc.)

The cards come with stories, right? I honestly feel stupid asking this, but I'm just that clueless about the game and how it works lolol

Is the game F2P-friendly? (tolerable grinding, fairness in stocking up on required materials, cost of cards, etc.) Is it at least similar to MLQC in terms of abundance in materials and currency?

Do limited cards get re-runs? Or is it that once a card is launched and its event ends, the chance to get it is forever gone?

Can cards only be pulled, or can they also be run in MLQC-style shoot/birthday events and bought using in-game currency (i.e. like the gems in MLQC)?

There's probably a grade to the cards, correct? (SR, SSR, UR, etc.)

I saw on the store that Sylus's 'Wish' event is ongoing at the moment; will his card be added permanently after the event ends, or is this a one-time thing (like the time ltd. Wish Tree events in MLQC)?

Taking into consideration the fact that I'll be a noob with barely any resources, if at all: do I have a chance of getting Sylus's card before the event end if I begin playing soon?

hello! firstly i’m sorry but my answers will only have necessary info b/c i’m not in the physical or mental state to go at lengths rn.

(1) it's an otome with action elements i.e. different styles of combats. there's also main story, dates, socmed, mini games, photo booth etc.

(2) idk whether to laugh or cry here tbh. in all fairness, PG really just took every feature of lovepro/ MLQC and upgraded them in LaDS (the combats aside LOL). although personally i don’t have anything positive to say on their writing quality, so you’ll have to figure out your feelings on that yourself ahah.

the dailies are quick once you've been there long enough as it is with most games. the wish tree has pity carry over system. they have two types of gacha pools: permanent and limited. and the two pools have different ticket currencies. there is no exchange system for event cards like MLQC.

leveling up the cards is an extremely tricky business here by the way. it's gonna become an essay if i try to explain, but know that you can never have enough stamina here LOL.

(3) yes. the 5 and 4 stars.

(4) nope lmfao. even if you tunnel vision one bias, it'd be difficult have all his cards without spending. they do have free 5 and 4 star card events though and those give rewards + the limited events often offer some rewards (in-game), but still it'd be hard if you have crappy gacha luck plus their stupid 50/50 choice in the pool almost never works lol and since the game is a simulpub, you won't have the advantage you have with MLQC to plan out your spending.

a friend of mine has done an overview, so please go through that to get an idea: ♡

(5) give it some time 😂 the game is only six months old. eventually all limited cards are re-run in these sort of games.

(6) no, there's no currency only card like MLQC in the game (at least not as of now). all cards are to be obtained through gacha (free ones aside).

(7) yes.

(8) QinChe/ Sylus has multiple events going on at the moment. there's a limited pool that ends on august 1 and you won't be able to get that one after the event until further notice. and the permanent pool also has a limited mechanism right now that will end after the event. but every other card except for event limited card will be added to the permanent pool afterwards.

(9) the permanent cards can be obtained later too (though definitely will be way harder b/c the limited mechanism for the permanent pool will gone then). as for the limited banner, it depends on your luck 😂 70x is the pity for 5-stars. i can't remember if there was any newbie pity, but since there's no guarantee or exchange, it might prove hard to obtain the card without spending if you have bad gacha luck. :/

Damn I can’t get that birthday card out of my head, and the discussion about cubs being abandoned by their pack if they’re weak, and having to grow up using their wits in order to survive on their own, I cannot stop thinking about that. I recall that in his myth, didn’t Sylus say he grew up alone because all the other dragons were dead? Was he alone even before that though? Was he abandoned for being weak, or thinks that he was abandoned? I know he was able to hide because he could change to a human appearance, but did being left behind also help him survive whatever killed all the dragons? It’s interesting.

(Possibly, the abandoned young are a reference to Luke and Kieran, but, it was such an important part of the story, plus all the comparisons between Sylus and various animals, and it seemed to make MC so upset and tie in directly with her birthday wishes… I suppose it could be Luke and Kieran. I like it better if it’s Sylus.)

I heard a rumour that we might get third myths for all the LIs, and although I actually really like the ambiguous parts of their stories that are left up to the imagination, I admit I would love to have some more details about Sylus, and especially some more information about what happened when he was in the time prison, what and how and why that has only been very vaguely hinted at and sounds absolutely awful.

And hey btw, I always see people posting during every event about how quickly they pull whatever card, and I see people getting upset when they don’t get the cards they want in a couple of pulls - I just wanna make sure you guys have realistic expectations, and especially the F2P players who need to carefully budget your resources: I have been playing since last summer, and after keeping track of all the events, I would say that it takes me an average of 70 pulls to get the card I want in any given event. Approximately. Sometimes I get it sooner and sometimes I get it even later and I have to rely on whatever pity system, but on average it takes me 70 pulls. The birthday card btw took me 80. So set your expectations accordingly. If you don’t grab that card right away, and even if you miss it with the first five star guarantee, that’s perfectly statistically normal, and if you don’t have enough resources saved up, you need to be prepared for the fact that you might possibly not snag that card, or have to spend money on it. I personally enjoy the gacha aspect of this game, and I don’t actually want it to change, but I think it’s important to educate yourself about the psychology that goes into gacha so you’re not making yourself sad and stressed out.
