if there's ever a V10, i kinda do hope the show gets a visual update, especially the character models.

for the most part, i would say the art style, when it comes to character models and environments, has been pretty on par with each other—neither really standing out massively—, but even so with the environments there's been very clear trajectory of improvement while the character models. . . don't really have that, and that creates a discrepancy, most notable in V7-8.

the environments have become larger, more intricate in design and textures, while the character models have stayed more or less the same since the switch to maya.

and i'm like. give them character models some love, too. little texture here and there; honestly even some painted-in shadows like in the poser era wouldn't be the worst idea, imo.

just. some love. lots of love, even. the environments looked absolutely GORGEOUS in atlas, and because of that the bar has been raised enough that the character models just can't compete anymore.
