This comic was inspired by the excellent idea of using The Last Unicorn dialogue for Astarion’s story from @fangsandfeels and the lovely comic made by @solmesia depicting it. You can see the original post here and the comic here.

When I read the original idea I thought that this also potentially works in reverse for a redemption Dark Urge who is horrified by their monstrousness. I did edit and add to the original dialogue for my own purposes.

(Also I really think it would have been cool if slayer form worked more like an uncontrollable werewolf-like curse rather than a gift you have to seek out.)

does anyone remember when team salvato had that “for fans by fans” fanart merch contest, but like it had a backstory that monika “wasn’t allowed to participate” cause “she always wins and it would be unfair :(” but like all images of her and mentions of her name were glitched out, and in the background of the promo art there was a piece of paper with her poem “Hole in Wall” mostly erased (and not even in her font asset, just in the neutral/MC handwriting font) so all signs pointed to monika’s file being deleted

but then literally none of that was ever directly acknowledged in the posts or the merch for the contest, or in ddlc+ lore, or on other posts from team salvato’s twitter or monika’s twitter account? so, though it probably wasn’t intended to be lore to begin with, we never got any context for it, even within the constraints of the “backstory” for this specific contest?

dnd actually rewired my brain and i love it so much i used to have such a hard time focusing on lore but it changed my whole perspective on how much more fun it is to create characters with an in-depth understanding of their circumstances

To be perfectly honest with you, I woke up much earlier than this and they’ve got free tea in the mornings if you come before classes start.

I am so fixated on Mira oh my gosh! Like whyd she lose her eye? Ink probably took. I think. By the pmv you did it looks like he did. But inks also her friend. So whyd he go crazy. Also when did she lose her eye? Did dream and nightmare do anything about it? Did she do something to have her eye taken??? And Mira being some sort of mage or something is so cool. And the mask she has looking somewhat like a lamb could have a bunch on implications to it.

Dude, I wanna see inside your mind so bad! I wanna know more about your characters! Her story seems so cool! Sorry for rambling, but I'm hooked.

I wanna flesh out a yakuza oc but every time I think about it I end up thinking about an oc of mine who already Exists who’s not a yakuza oc. but is, in fact, an oc who is a yakuza. and that fact is genuinely completely unrelated
