Over the last week, I decided to go ahead with bookmarking all the fics I've recommended over the years on AO3 since I abide by tumblr poll results always (and man pour one out for all the fic that never made it to AO3 or has since been deleted, sooooo many gems lost to time!) and it was a bit more than the ~3,000 I was expecting:
Hopefully, this will be easier than browsing the hundreds of recs posts I've made, since you can filter for any of the author's tags now! These are mostly focused on Star Wars and DC fandom, but I did my time in the anime mines and occasional tours through some TV fandoms or movies. You can dig into everything unfiltered and start your own filtering, or the bigger fandoms you'll find:
MAJOR FANDOMS: Each of these should have 100+ at minimum and, in the case of Star Wars, literally almost half of them are in that fandom. Look, Star Wars fandom might be a trash fire in a lot of ways, but it is ON FIRE with some good fic. (Older bookmarks not guaranteed to match my current sentiments, especially re: the Jedi, but they did catch my fancy at that point in time!)
STAR WARS: - All Star Wars -OR- All Star Wars minus the Obi-Wan/Anakin ship - OR- Nothing BUT Obi-Wan/Anakin
BATMAN/DC: - DC can sometimes be tricky, but you can do a Batman* search and get most of them (though, sometimes Nightwing* or Young Justice* or Superman* will catch some of the others). Honestly, though, you might want to just do a search for what character or dynamic you like and have fun from there, because otherwise you're getting a face full of my Dick Grayson Is The Center Of The Universe And I'm Making That Everyone Else's Problem agenda. ;)
MARVEL/MCU: - Marvel* will probably get most of the various properties, though you may want to filter for Defenders* or Guardians of the Galaxy* if you're interested -OR- Marvel* without the Thor/Loki - These focus a lot on the Thor* fandom if you want to witness the results of like 8 years of constant voracious reading in that fandom (Minus the ship), because, seriously, I read a LOT of Odinson family fic. - Bonus, just do a search for Maximoff* to find some really good X-Men: First Class-verse because, listen, I have been ALL ABOUT the Maximoff twins since long before the movies or MCU brought them over and I will DIE ON THE HILL of "Marvel, make Magneto their bio-dad again or I'm never reading another comic of yours ever".
TOLKIEN/LORD OF THE RINGS/SILMARILLION/HOBBIT: - Tolkien* -OR- Hobbit* -OR- Lord of the Rings* searches will turn up most of my Elf-hunting, I primarily focus on the Sindar Elves, but look I can't resist my problematic Feanorian faves or that I will die on the hill that Fingolfin is the best ever. (You have NO IDEA how sad I am that so much fic on Stories of Arda or FFNET is not easily bookmarked on AO3, sob. I externally bookmarked a few of the bigger ones, but sooo many shorter faves are missing from my recs tag.)
CLAMP: - X/Tokyo Babylon legitimately bums me out because it's not a huge fandom and yet so much of what was written was pre-AO3 and lost when CLAMPesque went down or was never brought over from Livejournal, yet this fandom (well, the Seishirou/Subaru pairing) still burns brightly in my heart.
MINOR FANDOMS: Ones that probably only have under 100 bookmarks (often around the 20-30 bookmarks range), but will at least give you a place to start! ANIME/MANGA: Bleach | Cardcaptor Sakura | Dragonball | Finder no Hyouteki/Viewfinder | Katekyou Hitman Reborn! | Kuroko no Basuke | One Piece | Sailor Moon | Madoka Magica | Naruto | Princess Tutu | Trigun | Weiss Kreuz | Yuri!!! on Ice
BOOKS: Chrestomanci | Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
DRAMAS: Nirvana in Fire | The Untamed -OR- Modao Zu Shi
TV SHOWS/MOVIES: Community | Game of Thrones -OR- ASOIAF | Good Omens | Hannibal | Highlander | The Old Guard | Our Flag Means Death | Stranger Things
VIDEO GAMES: Dragon Age: Inquisition | Final Fantasy 8 | Genshin Impact | Okami
BANDS: Arashi
All right, whew, that was actually a fun project, despite how much work it was to hunt down a lot of older faves to see if they were on AO3, hopefully you'll find this useful!

Another interesting little drama CD (♡ˊ͈ ꒳ ˋ͈) I love these 'behind the scenes' mini drama set in between certain events of the anime. This particular one takes place after Kanato takes Yui to his wax doll room! Please enjoy (ㅅ´ ˘ `)
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
[This CD takes place after Kanato takes Yui into his wax doll room.]
00:00 [Reiji lifts his cup of tea and takes a sip.]
Reiji: Hm. There is nothing quite like English tea. This aroma, this flavour… No other country’s tea could accomplish this.
Kanato: You sure seem like you’re enjoying drinking that bland-looking liquid. I certainly would not. Right, Teddy? Cold days like this just make you crave exceptionally sweet chocolate milk. Ah, shall I call her over and have her make chocolate milk for me?
R: Wait, Kanato. Why did you, of all occasions, decide to call on me during my tea time? This is my one moment of relaxation in the day. Do you not understand? You have something to say to me, do you not?
01:09 K: Me? To you, Reiji? I wouldn’t know what. Teddy says he has no clue, either.
R: Really? Nothing comes to mind at all?
K: I just told you, I don’t know.
R: You clearly lack self-reflective behaviour.
K: I couldn't care less about your expectations. I hate being kept in suspense. I am holding off on my precious hot chocolate by listening to your useless sermon, so please explain properly.
R: Kanato. Listen to me.
K: I want her to make me hot chocolate, and quickly! I want to drill her to make chocolate milk with the exact amount of sweetness that I prefer! That is her duty!
[Kanato slams his fist on the table.]
02:00R: Kanato. That is precisely the problem.
K: A problem? What is? I may do with my dolls as I please.
R: She is not your doll. Your reasoning that you can do with her as you please is incorrect. So, you cannot expect me to let slide the improper behaviour you exhibited yesterday.
K: What are you saying that I did?
R: I am talking about what you did in the wax doll room. You were trying to turn her into a wax doll, were you not?
K: And what about it? Don’t you think she would look extraordinary as a corpse? Hey, Teddy. You’re glad you’ve made a friend too, right?
R: It seems as though you do not realise the weight of your actions.
K: What’s wrong with turning her into a wax doll? I was only trying to preserve her beauty so that she may live on for all eternity.
R: Wax dolls are not alive, Kanato. You, of all people, should know.
03:16K: I don’t care whether she lives or not. As long as she’s beautiful, that’s enough for me.
R: We are under strict orders not to kill her. Have you forgotten? We must obey Father’s orders. We cannot go against him. You know this, do you not? I think we should treat her with a certain level of care.
K: What makes you say that, even though we never received such orders for the other sacrificial brides? Do you not think that is strange, Reiji?
R: Orders should be followed. I follow them without question.
04:09K: Hehe. You understand that she’s special, don’t you, Reiji?
R: What do you mean?
K: Her blood smelled quite… nostalgic somehow. I was plagued by the strangest feeling, as if a distant memory had come back to me. Didn’t you feel it too, Reiji?
Right, Teddy?
R: I did not. She is merely prey. Nothing more, nothing less. I do not recall ever thinking something so imperfect is special.
K: Hehe. Do you really think so?
[Something cracks, debris falling to the ground.]
K: Hm?
R: There are cracks in the sealing… Is that Subaru again? I will go and check on him. Wait here. Understood? We are not done talking.
[Reiji walks off.]
K: Huh. Subaru has been acting off lately. Teddy, should we go and have a look as well? It’s exciting to watch our home crumble to dust, isn’t it?
05:45[Reiji walks into Subaru’s room.]
R: Subaru. What on Earth are you doing?
Subaru: Fuck off. Don’t barge into my room without permission.
R: By all means–go ahead and break your own belongings. However, this house is not just yours. I cannot stand idly by and watch you destroy it.
S: Shut up.
K: Oh, Teddy, look! Subaru broke the desk again. This room does not need furniture, does it?
S: Fuck off, you little hysteric brat. You get the fuck out, too!
[Subaru tries to push Kanato out of the room.]
K: Teddy? You should never use such words, okay? People may start to question your dignity if you do.
S: The fuck?
R: Kanato, I thought I told you to stay put downstairs.
K: It may go wherever I please. I will not let you order me around.
S: You fuckers, get out of my room with your whining.
K: If you can’t calm down, I won’t be able to enjoy my hot chocolate in peace.
S: Then don’t drink it!
[Subaru throws something.]
06:57R: Subaru! I keep having to take care of things every time you break the wall or a piece of furniture. Please consider my efforts as well.
S: No problem if it’s replaced with something new, right?
R: That is not the problem. Please understand.
[Subaru walks over to his iron maiden.]
S: Fuck off. I’m going to sleep. Hurry up and get out of here.
R: Wait.
[Reiji tries to hold the lid open.]
S: Get out of my way!
R: Do you not think your destructive behaviour has increased lately?
S: So what if it has?
K: I do have a feeling why, though.
S: Huh?
K: It’s her, isn’t it? When I think of drastic changes to our household recently, I can only think of her arrival. Hehe. You have taken a liking to her too, haven’t you, Subaru?
S: Fuck off. I have zero interest in her.
R: Oh? That sure is strange.
S: Why?
R: If you have no interest in her, why did you give her your precious silver knife?
K: The silver knife–the one thing that can end the eternal lives of us vampires. I wonder what he was thinking when he gave it to her, don’t you, Teddy?
08:16 S: Shut up. Stop fussing so much. I am the one who decides what I do with my own knife!
R: That certainly depends on the situation. Besides, you even aided her in running away. It seems to me that you should get a proper grip on what is happening in this house right now.
S: I hate this.
R: However, I believe it is best to act only after properly assessing the other party. In reality, she did not escape, even when you offered her a way out.
S: Hm.
R: I have no clue why, though. Good grief, human life is such a finite thing. Whydo humans only repeat such pointless behaviour? Truly pitiful.
S: I wonder.
R: About what?
S: If you naively assume that she’s a mere human, it’ll come back to bite you.
K: Hehe. Hey, Reiji. I told you! There’s something about her. Something special…
S: Besides, ever since she arrived, Richter has been here often, too.
09:43 R: Indeed. I have seen Uncle around often lately. Subaru. Has Uncle told you anything?
S: ‘Before long, the awakening will come,’ or something like that.
R: Is that what he said?
S: C’mon, the two of you are so annoying! Get the hell out of here already!
R: This is enough for today. The two of you. Please think thoroughly before you act from now on.
[Subaru closes his coffin. Kanato yawns.]
K: You’re tired, aren’t you, Teddy? Let’s go and rest in our favourite little place.
[Kanato leaves.]
R: Good grief. I should not wait and instead take care of things today. The next time, I will show no mercy. And even then, what on Earth did Uncle mean? It seems that I should look further into it.
11:00 K: Hey, look, Teddy. This pure white dress… I had it especially made for the occasion. This feeling, this texture, and this lustrous finish… Haha. I can truly envision the day when she wears it among all the others. I already have a spot for her in mind.As Reiji said, I shall think thoroughly before I act… Haha!

Diabolik lovers Bloody Roses Novel [Chapter 03]
Chapter 03
Yui's fever was very high and while the stranger heard Yui's voice and followed her, Yui fainted from the pain and high fever and fell by the bushes. The man walked past the bushes until he found the tired and thin body of a beautiful girl next to the bushes.
The young man was staring at the strange girl's face. As if he was looking at a beautiful goddess, he did not want to take his eyes off her. She had white and delicate skin like snow and golden hair that was like the waves of the sea and covered her innocent face. This girl was like an angel.
The man moved closer and as he approached her he knelt down next to her and gently brushed her hair that had fallen from her face with his finger. He was lost in watching the young girl and caressed her cheek gently until a faint moan came from her.
Yui: Mmm.....
The young man noticed the girl's bad condition and also her high fever. He picked her up and carried her to his horse and laid her gently on the ground like a delicate flower in need of care. He removed his cloak from his horse's saddle and threw it over Yui's body, hoping to warm her up a bit.
The young man started gathering firewood to light a small fire and warm the girl. But unfortunately there was not much firewood in that area, but still he tried his best to protect this strange girl.
*TIMESKIP*
She felt the cloak with silk fabric. It felt very good and soft. It was the finest fabric she had ever touched. She could feel the weight of this cloak on her and she could hear the sound of the breath of an animal next to her ear. She slowly opened her eyes as she felt her face being licked.
Yui slowly opened her eyes and saw a silk robe on her and a beautiful horse sitting next to her and kissing her soft cheek with his tongue. The horse licked Yui's cheek again and Yui gave a soft giggle and gently stroked the horse with her small and delicate hands.
Young man: So you finally woke up? Were you the one who was spying on me from behind the bushes?
Hearing a strange voice, Yui turned her head and realized that the strange man who she was watching him from behind the bushes was now sitting in front of her. He was very beautiful. Yui couldn't stop her eyes from looking at him and was overwhelmed by his beauty. But she could not see his face completely. The young man covered one of his glowing eyes with his hair. It was as if his wine eyes were behind a white feather to take care of himself.
Yui: Umm..... I.... Who are you?
Young man: Answer my question first. Why were you spying on me?
Yui: I wasn't spying. I was looking for my book when I heard the neighing of a horse and I wanted to see who was there. But I was scared. That's why I didn't show myself to you and watched you from behind the bushes.
The young man stared into Yui's bright pink eyes. Her eyes were very innocent and it was clear that the young girl was telling the truth. He could tell by looking at the young girl's face. Her face was so innocent.
Yui: May I ask what is your name?
Young man: It has nothing to do with you. My name is Subaru.
Yui: What a beautiful name.... Well, Subaru-kun.... Thank you for helping me and throwing this silk cloak on me.
Yui thanked Subaru with a small smile on her face and to her disbelief she saw Subaru's face turn red making Yui laugh. She had never seen a boy so shy and quiet. Usually in her village the boys were very rude and mischievous. But this boy seemed very kind.
Yui: Where are you from? Because I am sure you are not from our village.
Subaru: I... I'm from a faraway land and I'm traveling.
Yui: Are people very rich where you live?
Subaru: Huh? What kind of stupid question are you asking?
Yui: Oh, you wore flashy clothes. And this cloak you threw on me is made of silk fabric, which is very expensive. Such clothes and jewels are used only by nobles and children of the king.
Subaru: .....! Well, yes. In a way, I am considered an aristocrat. And I have a rich family.
Yui: Fufu I knew that. So you are very lucky.
Subaru: Lucky?
Yui: Yes. You have a big and rich family. I dreamed of having a big family, but I don't even know who my real parents are. Even if they are not rich, it doesn't matter to me, I just want to be surrounded by people who love me from the bottom of their hearts and I can call them my family.
Hearing Yui's sweet words, the young man frowned and lowered his head and looked at his hands. It was as if he understood the pain of Yui's every word and this pain was also tormenting him. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. He wished he had the ability to express his feelings like this girl.
Subaru raised his head and stared at the young girl again. She wrapped the cloak around the lump and rubbed it against her nose and smelled it. The young girl had a sweet smile and whenever the horse approached her, she would caress him with her delicate hands and give him all her love. Subaru didn't know why, but when he saw this girl's smile, his heart beat faster and he got a strange feeling.
Subaru: You asked my name. Now it's your turn to tell me your name.
Yui: Oh... I'm sorry. I am very rude. I should have introduced myself earlier. I am Yui Komori.
Subaru: Are you from this village?
Yui: Well, I don't know exactly. I don't know who my parents were and where they were from. But I live here now. The hunter of this village, Seiji Komori, he is a wonderful and kind man. I am so lucky that he found me and adopted me.
Subaru stared at the girl in silence for a while. He had noticed something different about this strange girl. But he could not express this feeling in words. He was only sure that this girl is very special and different from other girls.
Subaru got up and went to the girl. He poured dirt on the ashes of the fire with his foot and extinguished it. He walked over to Yui and knelt down next to her, staring straight into Yui's bright pink eyes.
Subaru: I'll take you home. Just show me the way to the village.
Yui: But... But before I go home, I have to find my book.
Subaru: What book?
Yui: A very special book. Actually, it is a diary belonging to a strange man who wrote for his lover. About the legend called Bloody Roses.
Subaru: Bloody roses? I have not heard anything about this legend.
Yui: Seriously? How is it possible? This legend is the biggest legend of our village. This legend has caused this village to be named Rose Town.
Subaru: Anyway, I don't care about this book or anything else. I don't have much time, I have to leave this village. It is almost noon now. If you want, I can take you home. If you like, you can stay in this forest until night. Anyway, that's not my problem.
Saying this, Subaru got up and prepared his horse. He put the saddle on his horse and sat on the horse himself, looking back at Yui who was struggling to get up.
Subaru: Just remember that this forest is full of wolves.
Subaru moved his horse and the horse began to move slowly. Yui stared in amazement at Subaru as he slowly walked away, leaving her alone in the forest. Looking around, the memories of a few days ago that were lost in the forest came alive for her and her body trembled. She closed her eyes and ran towards Subaru's horse and tried to stop him.
Yui: Subaru-kun... please wait.
Hearing Yui's voice, Subaru pulled on his horse's reins and stopped him. Until Yui reached Subaru while trying to run with short steps.
Yui: Wait, Subaru-kun... Please take me with you.
Subaru: Hehe... why did you change your mind?
Yui: I don't want to get lost in the forest again. If this happens, my father will punish me worse.
Subaru raised an eyebrow. He didn't know what was going on, but he decided to help Yui. He held out his hand to Yui and stared into her bright eyes. Yui took his hand and Subaru helped her into the saddle. Yui was sitting in front of Subaru, and Subaru was holding Yui's thin waist with his hand so that she wouldn't fall. Yui felt strange at this closeness and it made her blush.
With a gesture, Subaru ordered his horse to move, and the horse began to move through the forest to reach the village. There was a short period of silence between the two people. Because of his height, Subaru could see Yui's golden hair under his chin, which was shining because of the sunlight and was like a river full of gold. He was staring at her golden hair in silence and moving forward.
After a short horse ride, palace could be seen from behind the trees. Yui's body trembled when he saw the palace, and her breathing became heavier. Yui knew that this boy was a stranger and she should warn him about the dangers around the heirs' palace.
Yui: Subaru-kun, please be careful. We should not approach the Palace. Use another route to go to the village.
Hearing Yui's worrying words, Subaru raised his head and stared at her in surprise. However, he tried to listen to Yui's words without asking questions and used another route to go to the village. Apparently, he was not too eager to get too close to the heirs' palace, or maybe Yui's warning scared him.
Subaru: Why shouldn't we approach the Palace of the Heirs?
Yui: I don't know. Only the villagers are very afraid of that place. They believe that if a girl approaches there, she will not return alive. And the people of the church also believe that the palace is an evil place where devils live and destroy people.
Subaru: What is the reason for these stupid thoughts? As far as I know, the Palace of the Heirs is where the sons of King Karlheinz live.
Yui: That's right. King Karlheinz-Sama has six sons and these six sons do not live in the capital with their father. Those six people have been sent here to become independent. But good things never happen near their palace. Because some of the village girls went there and never came back.
Yui's words were disturbing, but they were telling the truth. No one knew what happened to the village girls. Five of the girls of the village have disappeared after approaching the Palace. The villagers believe that if the sixth girl is kidnapped by demons and disappears, the demons have eaten the number of heirs and will attack the villagers to destroy them.
After a short period of time, Yui could see the village from behind the trees, and she smiled and pointed to the village with her hand.
Yui: Subaru-kun... There is our village.
Subaru: I understand.
Subaru reined in his horse and led him towards the village. As they were getting closer to the village, Subaru was staring at Yui and her golden hair, which was even more golden under the lovely sunset, and a soft smile appeared on his face.
As they exited the forest Subaru dismounted and grabbed Yui's hand to help her off the horse. Yui straightened her clothes and took off the cloak that was around her to present to Subaru.
Yui: Subaru-kun, thank you for helping me and also for this cloak. It was very pleasant to wear.
Subaru: If you like it so much, you can keep it.
Yui: Really? Oh my God.... You are so.... so kind. But no, please take it back. I am not really a good trustee. Last time someone gave me a book and I lost it.
Subaru: Is this book the same book of diary?
Yui: Yes. Peter-San, the village librarian, gave me that book to read. But last night something unexpected happened in the forest and I lost the book. That's why I went back to the forest to find the book. If Peter-San finds out that I lost his valuable book, I am sure he will be very disappointed with me.
Subaru was staring at Yui in surprise. He was really amazed and couldn't believe that such a small thing made this girl so upset and disappointed in herself. He couldn't stop himself and started laughing.
Subaru: Pffff.... Hahahaha..... You.... You're really weird.
Yui: Huh??? Subaru-kun, why are you laughing at me? Did I say something strange?
Subaru: Yes. Everything you said was strange. I can't believe that a person is so clumsy and simple and also innocent that she would be so ashamed of losing a book. You are really very special.
Yui stared at Subaru with wide eyes in surprise. She could not understand what he meant by innocent. In any case, it was a real shame for Yui that she couldn't keep her promise and take care of the book, but it seemed like this young stranger had a different opinion. It seemed that he saw guilt and shame in other things than a small and inadvertent mistake like losing a book.
However, Yui smiled. Her face was like a goddess under the golden light of the setting sun. Her smile was as warm as spring and her hair was golden and shining like the sun. Subaru smiled as if blessed by a goddess and placed his hand on Yui's soft golden hair to caress her.
Subaru: Listen, little girl. You are a good girl. You don't have to be so hard on yourself for losing a book. This is something that any other person can do.
Yui: I... But I promised. I promised Peter-San that I would take good care of that book. If he finds out, he may be very upset.
Subaru: If he's your friend, I'm sure he'll understand that you didn't do it on purpose and it was just a small mistake.
Yui: Yes, you are right, Subaru-kun. He is a kind friend. I'm sure he understands.
Subaru: Please keep the cloak with you. Accept it as a gift from me.
Yui: But this cloak is very expensive and valuable. Are you sure you want to give it to me?
Subaru: Of course. I'm a noble, so you don't have to worry about the price of the cloak. It is very easy for me to prepare such things.
Yui gave Subaru a warm smile to thank him and hugged the cloak and smelled it. This cloak was very soft and fragrant. Subaru looked at Yui and gave a small smile, but quickly turned his head so that Yui wouldn't notice.
Subaru went to his horse and mounted it. He looked at Yui and the small village one last time. This girl was very special. Subaru didn't want to part with her so soon, but he had no other choice. He could not stay in this village any longer. He felt insecure here and wanted to leave this village as soon as possible, as well as heirs' palace. So far that no one can reach him.
Subaru: I have to go now. From now on, take care of yourself and don't come to the forest when you are sick. Even now, it is better to return to your home as soon as possible and warm yourself up so that you don't get weaker.
Yui: Wait, Subaru-kun. You helped me a lot. I would like to make it up to you. Would you like to come to my father's cottage? You can rest there until tomorrow and I will welcome you. It's getting dark now and I think it's better for you to not stay in the forest. The forest is very dangerous at night.
Subaru: Thank you for worrying about me and thank you very much for inviting me. But I can't come. I have to leave this village as soon as possible.
Yui: Oh, you don't like it here?
Subaru: No. The issue is not related to the village... well... the issue is that... I don't want my heirs to see me.
Yui: Why? Aren't they your family? You are an aristocrat. Aren't you?
Subaru: That's right, I'm an aristocrat. But I have no interest in seeing the heirs. Maybe I should listen to your warning about them and the devil's curse.
Yui nodded and smiled. Subaru's words were strange and didn’t show that he was really afraid of the villagers' curses and rumors about the heirs. It seemed like something else was bothering him, but Yui chose not to ask any more questions.
Yui: I understand, Subaru-kun. Thank you again for helping me and also for this cloak. This gift is very valuable. I will always remember you. Have a safe trip. I hope you reach your destination faster.
Yui gave Subaru a warm smile and said goodbye to him and went to the village. After walking away from Subaru, she turned her head and waved at him. Subaru smiled at her and pulled the reins of his horse and rode away. This cloak and this event was like a dream. A dream that ended too soon and now Yui had to move towards reality.
A strong wind blew and the weather was getting darker and darker every moment. Thinking that his father is now angry that she is not at home, Yui got scared and went home faster. However, she was sure that his father would be angry that Yui had disobeyed his orders again and would punish her more severely this time.
After a short walk, Yui reached the hut, but to her surprise, there was no light in the hut. Maybe her father hasn't come home yet. With fear and trembling, Yui opened the door and entered the house, only to find that there was no one in the cottage.
Yui looked around the hut in surprise. The fire in the fireplace was off and the weather was very cold. Yui was very worried about her father's absence. Her father usually returned home before sunset and it was very strange that she hadn't come home yet and this fact made Yui a little worried.
Yui tried to take a deep breath and calm down. Maybe her father is just hunting and doesn't notice the passage of time. Yui went to the fireplace and threw some wood into the fireplace and lit the fire to warm the hut a little.
Yui turned on the lantern lights and went to the kitchen to cook a hot and delicious soup for herself and her dear father. Yui started cooking and hummed old Hina's lullaby under her breath. She enjoys these sweet and relaxing times.
*TIMESKIP*
The howling of wolves and the chirping of crickets could be heard. Almost all the villagers were asleep, but Yui was still awake. She was waiting. She was waiting for the door of the hut to open and her father to enter the hut to hug him again and offer him the delicious dinner she had cooked for him.
Yui: Where are you, father?
Yui was very worried. It was past midnight, but there was no news of her father. Her father had never been so late. No matter how busy he was hunting, it couldn't have taken that long.
Desperately, Yui took one of the lantern lights and went to her room. She opened the door of her room and went to her bed. She put the light of a lantern by the window of her room and stared out of the window.
Yui: Father, please come back. Please be safe. I am very worried.
Yui felt heavy on her eyes as she stared outside, so she lay down on her straw bed. Yui slowly closed her eyes and fell into a sweet sleep. Her father's thoughts did not allow her to sleep easily, but she had a very difficult day, so with great effort, she was finally able to sleep.

DIABOLIK LOVERS Do-S Kyuuketsu VERSUS Ⅲ Animate Tokuten Drama CD ”Agricultural Management, the Vampire Way! ~When Disaster Strikes, a Storm Whips Up~”
Original title: ヴァンパイア的農村経営! ~災いは嵐と共に~
Source: Diabolik Lovers VERSUS III Animate Tokuten CD
Audio: Here
Seiyuu: Toriumi Kousuke, Katsuyuki Konishi, Midorikawa Hikaru, Kaji Yuki, Hirakawa Daisuke, Kondou Takashi, Takahiro Sakurai, Kimura Ryouhei, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Kishio Daisuke, Morikawa Toshiyuki, Morikubo Shoutari & Tomoaki Maeno
Translator’s note: Classic Ryoutei Academy coming up with the weirdest classes and assignments for their students. No wonder Karlheinz sponsors the school because the principal is just as bonkers as he is. Anyway, it was interesting to see characters like Reiji, Laito and Carla having to do physical labor out on the field. Meanwhile Yuma is just completely in his element. This assignment was made for him after all. I won’t spoil how the CD ends, but let’s all press F in the chat for our Diaboys.
*Thud thud*
Subaru: …Ugh…Arghー Fuck! …Why am I here ploughin’ some damn field!?
*Rustle*
Laito: Ugh…That’s…my…line…! Ugh…!
*Thud*
Laito: Haah~ …Ahー God! I’m tired!
Laito tosses his hoe away.
*Thud*
Reiji: Hey, you two! No sleeping on the job! You have barely made any progress! …Laito, grab hold of that hoe at once!
Laito: Eeeh~?
Reiji: Don’t ‘eeeh~?’ me! This is part of a special class, so I shall ensure that all of you take it seriously!
Subaru: Che…I don’t give a damn if it’s for school or not…I can’t believe we’re forced to do this crap! Haah…I should have just skipped.
Reiji: Subaru…I shall not allow for that. Did you not hear me earlier? This assignment has to be done all together as a team!
Laito: If we can submit a stellar report on our task afterwards, the school will give us some kind of reward, right? Not just any reward either, but we get to choose anything we want with nothing off-limits. However, the one condition is that each member of a team contributes.
Reiji: Yes, exactly. And there just happens to be a silverware set which I have been dying to get my hands on. Therefore, I must get an excellent grade at all costs!
*Rustle*
Subaru: Ahー What a load of crap. …Anyway, they must be out of their minds if they think that this is a job for human labor. Don’t they have some kind of big or impressive machine which can get it done instead!?
Reiji: This is part of class. What makes you think there would be a tractor available to us? The whole point of the exercise is to get it done through our own strength!
*Clap clap*
Reiji: Well then, now grab hold of those hoes! As long as I am here to keep an eye on things, I shall not allow anyone to slack off!
Subaru: Che…Fuck off…
Laito: Aah~ …I’m really sick of this. I would have dipped a long time ago if it wasn’t for Bitch-chan being here as well.
Subaru: Anyway, Reiji! If you’re that stuck up ‘bout everyone doin’ their part, then why don’t you go and call over all those fuckers who aren’t here right now!?
Reiji: Hm…? Now that you mention it…I have not seen those three in a while. …Excuse me, you! Have you seen Yuma and the others, perhaps?
You explain.
Reiji: Ahー So Yuma and Azusa have gone fetch some fertilizer.
Yuma: Oi, you guys!
Reiji: If you speak of the Devil…
Yuma: We got the fertilizer.
He puts the bag down on the floor.
*Thud*
Yuma: There ya go. This should do the trick, right?
Azusa: Phew…Yuma…Where should I put my bag…?
Yuma: Ah. You can just throw it onto the pile over here. …Thanks, Azusa.
Azusa: Oh noIt was no big deal.
*Rustle*
Yuma: I don’t like havin’ to work together with these fuckers, but I guess I have no other choice if I wanna get my hands on that sweet reward. …So, how much of the area have you plowed so far?
Yuma takes a look.
Yuma: Aah!? You’ve barely made any progress!
Subaru: Oh shut up! The soil’s too damn hard, it’s no easy feat!
Laito: Yeah, exactly! My hands are so tired…
Yuma: God, you’re all such a bunch of weaklings…All you’ve done is some plowin’ and you’re already exhausted? Did you think agriculture was easy or somethin’!?
You apologize.
Yuma: Nah, you don’t need to say sorry. From what I can tell, the area you and Mr. Know-It-All did has made the most progress.
Azusa: Eve…Good work…
Reiji: Fufu…While I would never resort to doing physical labor under normal circumstances, my silverware is at stake this time. I am taking this very seriously.
He turns towards his brothers.
Reiji: Laito, Subaru. How about the two of you step up your game as well and start taking this seriously?
Laito: That’s easy for you to say…But this kind of work isn’t exactly my cup of tea. I mean, there’s bugs and such crawling around on the field as well, right?
Subaru: I mean, there’s only so much the four of us can accomplish, right? Look at how much ground we have to cover!
Azusa: Four? …Huh…? Now that you mention it…What happened to Carla-san?
Reiji: We actually haven’t seen him in a while now. I assumed that he went with you two to go get fertilizer but…It seems like that wasn’t the case.
Yuma: Yeah. It was only Azusa and I.
Laito: Eeh~? Then maybe he’s sleeping on the job somewhere!? (imitates Carla’s tone) ‘Fieldwork is not the kind of job a respectable Founder such as myself would ever resort to’
Subaru: Haah!? That’s not fair, is it!?
You mention something about a sound in the distance.
Azusa: Eh? Eve…? What’s wrong? …You hear something?
Azusa focuses on the sound.
Azusa: You’re right. I can hear it too.
Reiji: What could it be? It sounds like the engine of some kind of machine?
Yuma: …!! Shh, be quiet for a sec! …Ah! This is the sound of a tractor’s motor!
Laito: Hey…It seems to be steadily getting closer to us…!?
Azusa: Ah! Eve! Watch out!
ー A tractor arrives.
Carla: …Ugh.
*Thud*
Carla: You lot! Why are you here together, doing nothing?
Subaru: …Excuse me!? That’s what I’d like to ask! Where did you get that thing!? …Actually, Reiji! Didn’t you tell us earlier that a tractor is off-limits because this is part of a class assignment!?
Reiji: Yes…I was under that assumption.
Carla: Hmph. I pulled some strings to have this one arranged especially for me.
He steps towards the group.
Carla: I do not care that this is part of a special extracurricular activity. Under normal circumstances, a Founder such as myself would never resort to this sort of work. However, I shall make an exception this one time. I have decided that for the sake of getting a new ham stand, I am willing to dirty my very own hands!
Yuma: Your very own hands, you say? You’re usin’ a tractor tho.
Laito: Heeh…I didn’t think even Carla would be so desperate for the reward.
Azusa: It’s unusual…for Carla-san to be this motivated…
Carla: You may run your mouths all you want. This is all to secure a high score and a new ham holder…You lot! Now that you are in my team, I shall not allow any of you to slack off. Get your tasks done without fail! Do you understand?
Yuma: I mean, that was always my intention. It’s honestly like a dream come true to be able to work on the field as part of a school assignment.
Azusa: I’ll try…my best too…
Reiji: It should go without saying that I shall do the same. I never slack off when it comes to school, no matter what the assignment may be!
*Rustle*
Carla: Woman, what about you?
You agree to doing your best as well.
Carla: …Fufu. Well said. Allow me to praise you. …That leaves just you two. Hurry up and prove to me that you are prepared to face this challenge.
Subaru: Che…Big words comin’ from the guy who showed up late. Pisses me off…
*Rustle*
Subaru: Hah…But constantly bein’ nagged to work is annoyin’ too…Haahー Fine. Guess I have no other choice, so I’ll do it.
Laito: Hmm~ Well, I suppose I’ll do what I can without dirtying my clothes.
Reiji: Well then, let us first divide the tasks. There’d be no point in having all five of us plow the field.
Yuma: Damn right. I mean, now that we have a tractor to work with, we can leave that task up to Carla.
Azusa: What else…needs to be done…?
Yuma: Ah, next would be creating ridges by raising the earth. Then plant the seeds and water them. Just like that.
Laito: The ridges are made with the help of an animal, right? I want to do that then. I’d like to avoid having to touch the soil directly if possible.
Azusa: Then…I’d like to…be in the team planting the seeds…There’s a specific kind of vegetable I want to grow…
Yuma: In that case, feel free to use the fertilizer we carried here earlier. I got a really good kind.
Azusa: Mmh…Thank you.
Carla: I have something I want to grow as well.
Reiji: In which case, I shall join Laito in creating the ridges. I am curious whether I will be able to elevate them to a new level.
Carla: ーー Subaru. What shall you do? Hurry up and make up your mind.
Subaru: Huh? …Ahー I…
Laito: Don’t you think Subaru should join the two guys planting seeds? He seems like the kind of guy who likes digging around the dirt.
Subaru: Haah!? What kind of image do you have of me!?
Yuma: That’s settled then. Well then…If we want to balance things out, I suppose I’d go into the ridges team. I mean, fine by me.
You ask what you should do.
Reiji: You…Can we ask you to alternate between both groups and assist where you can?
ー You nod.
Yuma: ‘Kay! Now hold out yer hands, mates!
Azusa: My hand…? Like this…?
Reiji: Would this do?
Subaru: Oi, whatcha gonna do?
Carla: …
Laito: Yeah, yeah. …Come on, you too, Bitch-chan.
*Rustle rustle*
Yuma: Exactly. Now we all put them on top of each other like this.
*Rustle*
Yuma: ‘Kay! You’ve all got yer hands stacked on top of each other, right? Agriculture is all ‘bout good team work. I want to hear a loud ‘yeah’ at my signal, ‘kay?
Subaru: Haah!? You really think I’m gonna do that lame shit!?
Yuma: Ya guys! We’re gonna make a great field together!
Everyone: Yeah…!
*TIMESKIP*
You approach the group in charge of the ridges.
Reiji: Oh dear, you. Have you come to help out here first? Thank you very much.
Yuma: Well then, Sow. Hold this rope and stand there. We’re gonna trace this line to make the ridges.
*Rustle*
Reiji: Well then, I suppose we should get started soon. …Ugh…Ugh…
*Thud thud*
Reiji: Thanks to Carla softening up the soil with the tractor, the hoe digs right in. …Hah!...Hah!
*Thud thud*
Yuma: I’ll even it out later, so for now ya can just make lil’ piles.
Laito: …As to be expected of Yuma-kun, it looks like you were made to hold one of those hoes in your hands.
Yuma: Ya think so? Well, I do this at home all the time after all.
Laito: Eeh~? Every day? I wouldn’t be able to keep up with that. Working on the field is not only exhausting but it gets you all dirty as well. I honestly fail to see what’s so fun about digging around the earth like this. …Say, you agree with me, don’t you, Bitch-chan? ーー I mean, maybe if there was a chance to dig up some kind of treasure.
You suddenly scream out.
Laito: What’s wrong, Bitch-chan? Why the panic?
You explain.
Laito: Huh? Right at my feet?
*Rustle*
Laito: …Uwah! A-An earthworm…!
Reiji: Excuse me, Laito! Why are you fooling around? Take your job seriously!
Laito: I-I’m not fooling around…! More importantly, an earthworm popped up…!
Yuma: Ah? An earthworm? Now where is that lil’ bugger?
Laito: O-Over there! At your feet! Uu…It’s wriggling around…I’m feeling sick to my stomach…
Yuma: God, you’re makin’ way too much of a fuss over a lil’ earthworm. You should expect this much when out on the field, no?
You step back.
Yuma: Ah…? Why are you pissin’ yer pants as well? Ya just grab them like this andー
*Rustle*
Laito: Eek! Hey, Yuma-kun! Stay away from me…!!
Yuma: There ya go.
He throws it away.
*Rustle*
Yuma: Happy now?
Laito: Phew…I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Reiji: Good grief…How pathetic, making such a fuss over a single bug.
Yuma: My thoughts exactly…
Laito: You two just don’t understand! Just how disgusting those creepy crawlers truly are! Aah…Just the thought of them wriggling around gives me goosebumps…
Laito loses consciousness.
Laito: Uu…Nn…
*Rustle*
Reiji: Dear god. I cannot believe he passed out over something like this. I feel ashamed as his brother. Haah…
*Rustle*
Reiji: Come on, you. Let us ignore Laito for now and get back to work.
You seem worried.
Reiji: No need to be concerned. I am sure he will regain consciousness in no time. …Yuma, let us continue.
Yuma: Yeah. …Come on, Sow. Hold the rope straight.
*Rustle*
Yuma: Ugh…
*Thud*
Reiji: Ugh…
*Thud*
Yuma: Still, I didn’t think you’d join this team. Ya seem like the type of dude who wouldn’t wanna work up a sweat.
Reiji: Like I mentioned before, I would not usually resort to physical labor. I happen to be more skilled at using my brains rather than my muscles after all. However…I got a little curious.
Yuma: Curious?
Reiji: The vegetables you drop off at our place every so often…They far exceed the ones sold at any store in terms of flavor. I came to the conclusion if you managed to raise such high-quality products in a small vegetable garden, then what would we be capable of growing in our own garden? While we do grow a couple of herbs, we have never grown our own vegetables before.
Yuma: Heh. Why not give it a try? I wouldn’t mind givin’ ya some pointers. From which fertilizer to choose to how to use the different tools involved, all of it.
Reiji: Fufu…That sounds very promising. I would love to have you teach me someday.
*Thud*
Yuma: Woah…We’ve made some great progress while talkin’.
Reiji: Yes. It went smoother than I expected. Perhaps we can thank the guy who made a huge fuss and then proceeded to faint on us.
Laito: Uu…Uu…Earthworm…I can’t…~~~
Reiji: Haah…
*Rustle*
Reiji: You, go ahead and call Subaru and the others. They can already start planting seeds in the ridges we’ve created so far.
You nod.
Yuma: We’re countin’ on ya!
You run off.
*TIMESKIP*
You approach the other group.
Azusa: Hm….Ah! Eve!
Subaru: Oh? Are Reiji and the others done already?
ー You explain.
Azusa: So we can start planting seeds? …Perfect timing…I just decided what I want to grow…
You show interest.
Azusa: Me? You seeーー I’ve decided to plant chili pepper seeds. Yuma arranged these for me. They’re from the Demon World so they should grow quicker…than normal ones…I’ll let you try some of them…once they’ve been harvested, okay? Fufu…
ーー Speaking of which…Subaru-san, which seeds did you choose…?
Subaru: Ah? Me…Iーー …It doesn’t really matter, does it? Anyway, let’s go plant them already!
Azusa: Oh…Ah, yeah. Good idea. …Let’s go together, Eve.
You walk back towards the field together.
*TIMESKIP*
Azusa: …Ridges have already been made over here. Yuma and the others made them…Well then, I suppose we can plant the seeds here.
*Rustle*
Subaru: Hm? Oi, wait. Is that Carla over there? He seems to be crouched down…What is that guy up to?
Azusa: Ah…You’re right.
You approach Carla.
Carla: …Hm? So you lot have come to plant your seeds as well?
Subaru: ‘As well’, you say? So you planted something as well?
Carla: Yes, I just finished planting almonds and cashews.
Subaru: Hah? …By the way, what’s the pink thing sticking out from the ground?
Carla: This…? Isn’t that obvious? It’s cured ham.
Subaru: Haah!? What is that doin’ iside the soil!?
Carla: I mean, the vegetables need proper fertilizer to be able to grow into their optimal form, correct? That is why I decided to bury ham of the finest quality alongside them!
*Rustle*
Carla: I believe this will allow me to grow the finest of nuts. Fufu… ーー However, I have already planted plenty of them, yet none have sprouted so far. Is something still missing, perhaps?
Subaru: No…Rather than somethin’ missin’…I think this is a whole different issue.
Azusa: Ah! Carla-san…Did you already water them?
Carla: Water? …No, not yet. Hah! I see. So water is the solution, huh? ーー Oi, Subaru! Go and get me water!
Subaru: Again, this makes no sense! Why do I have to do that!? Anyway, there’s no way they’ll grow like that!
Carla: Kuh…Excuse me? They will not?
You try to explain to Carla.
Subaru: Haah…Just like she said, you have to start with the seeds or it won’t work.
Carla: …! …No…I refuse to give up…I am positive they will grow…!
Azusa: Carla-san, please don’t feel down…Right! Why don’t we plant some chili pepper seeds together?
Carla: Chili pepper, you say? Hah! Ridiculous…!
Azusa: Please don’t be like that. Come on? …Eve, you should join us as well. Let’s plant them together. …Here’s a shovel for you.
*Rustle*
You thank him.
Azusa: Mmh. You’re welcome. Here’s yours, Subaru-san.
*Rustle*
Subaru: Ah…Yeah…
Azusa: Let’s see…I suppose we can plant them around here?
*Rustle rustle*
Azusa: First you create a small hole…
He pours the seeds inside.
Azusa: And then you add the seeds before closing it up again…
*Rustle rustle*
Carla: Hmph!
Subaru: Well…I guess this should do?
They continue planting seeds.
Azusa: Mmh! You’re all doing a great job! Now we just…
*Tap tap*
Azusa: Please turn out delicious…
*Tap tap*
Azusa: Please turn out delicious…
Carla: Haah…What has that guy been mumbling about this whole time?
Subaru: For some reason, it comes off as really creepy when comin’ from you…
Azusa: Eh? I’m just doing what Yuma always does. When you plant sands…While praying for them to turn out delicious…They actually will, you see…?
Subaru: For real?
You ask Subaru which vegetables he will grow.
Subaru: Ah? …L-Like I said, that’s none of your business, is it!?
Azusa: But I’m curious as well…
You agree.
Subaru: …Ugh. …Haahー Fine…Cherry tomatoes.
Azusa: Cherry…tomatoes…
Subaru: What’s with that face!? Why do you seem so obviously surprised!? …They seemed the easiest to grow according to the manual so that’s why I chose them! Got a problem with that, huh!?
Azusa: No…Not at all. Well then, here you go.
*Rustle*
Azusa: You can have this, okay?
*Thud*
Subaru: …Ah. What is this? A name tag?
Azusa: Yeah…I also got this from Yuma but…You should give your plant a name and put that beside it.
Subaru: Let me see… ‘Subaru-san’s tomatoes’? Doesn’t it seem like a grave of some sorts now?
Azusa: Eh? You think so?
Carla: Hmph! You enjoy crawling into a coffin as a hobby, do you not? This is barely any different.
Subaru: …!? A-Are you makin’ fun of me!?
Carla: I am not. I am simply stating the truth.
Subaru: Like I saidーー
The other group approaches them.
Reiji: Oh dear, why the ruckus?
Azusa: Ah…Reiji-san…Yuma and Laito-san as well…
Laito: Hey there, Bitch-chan~! Haven’t seen you since earlier.
You ask if he’s alright now.
Laito: Mmh! I’m back in tip-top shape! Although…I’d rather stay clear from soil for a while.
Yuma: Look, ya guys can fight all ya want, but have ya finished plantin’ the seeds yet?
You nod.
Yuma: Hah? That doesn’t sound very convincin’...But…Oh! They’re already sproutin’! I guess seeds from the Demon World really are on a different level! If they keep growin’ like this, we might just be able to harvest them tomorrow!
Laito: Then why don’t we take a break? The sky is looking gray as well…
Reiji: You are right. It has been cloudy for a while now. Well then, how about we go rest up inside that cabin for a bit?
You all start walking towards the cabin.
*TIMESKIP*
A storm rages outside.
Laito: It’s really pouring down…
Azusa: There’s even thunder…
*CRASH*
Reiji: I have to admit…The weather does make me rather worried about the seeds we planted earlier. They only just sprouted after all.
Yuma: Yeah. Young sprouts aren’t well resistant to the rain or strong gusts of wind yet. Perhaps we should have put a few support pillars ‘round the plants to protect them. At this rate, they’ll end up gettin’ washed away by the rain.
*Rustle*
Subaru: Haah!? Then what ‘bout our assignment!? I’m not startin’ over from scratch again!
Carla: I agree. My new ham holder is at stake here. I shall not waste this opportunity.
Reiji: Calm down, both of you. My silverware set depends on it as well, so I refuse to give up already. That being said, haste makes for waste, remember?
*CRASH*
Laito: But…I don’t think we have much time to waste? The storm’s really picking up outside.
Subaru: …! Tsk…Oi, Yuma! How do those pillars work?
Yuma: …!? Don’t tell me…You’re thinkin’ of goin’ out there in this weather!?
Subaru: What other choice do I have!? I put in all that effort to plant those seeds! It’d be such a shame…To let my tomatoes go to waste before even gettin’ a chance to harvest them.
Azusa: But…If you were to step outside right now…Wouldn’t you put yourself at risk as well?
Subaru: I don’t give a damn ‘bout that! …Somebody has to go, right!? Get out of my way! I’ll go…!
*Thud*
Yuma: Wait, Subaru! You won’t be able to do anythin’ by yourself! I’ll come with you.
Azusa: Mmh. I’ll tag along as well. I want those chilli pepper seeds which we all planted together…To have a chance to grow…
Reiji: Haah…I suppose I have no other choice. I am not thrilled about having to go out during a rainstorm, but I shall come as well.
You offer to join them as well.
Reiji: No, you should wait here. It is dangerous outside after all.
Yuma: Let’s get goin’ then…!
They run outside.
Laito: Ahーah. They actually went outside.
Carla: Hah! They can build a fort around it all they want, it will all be in vain if you do not tackle the root of the issue.
You point out that the weather is the main problem.
Carla: Yes. Exactly. In other words, this weather.
Laito: Nfu~ That being said…There’s not much we can do about the weather, is there?
Carla: No, I know a way. I could offset the storm with my magic.
Laito: Eeh? You can do that?
Carla: Who do you think I am? I am Tsukinami Carla, King of Founders! ーー Woman, step out of the way. I shall blow this storm away with my powers. Fufufu…Ahahaha! The ham holder is as good as mine!
Carla begins charging up an attack.
Carla: Haah…
Laito: …Wow! This magic is impressive. I guess I should have expected as much from a Founder…?
Carla: Aaaah!!!
*CRASH*
*BOOM*
Laito: Coff..coff…Bitch-chan…Are you alright?
Carla: Hmph! That was a piece of cake for someone of my caliber.
Yuma: Magic sure is somethin’ else! But I’m glad! Now our veggies are saーー Wait. Aaaaah…!!
Azusa: Oh…They had already sprouted as well…But now they’re all…gone.
Subaru: …Oi! You’ve gotta be kiddin’ me!? How!?
Reiji: Could it be…Was Carla’s attack simply too powerful…He ended up destroying the whole field in the process?
Laito: Aahー
Carla: …A-Ahem…You should be grateful to me for getting rid of that terrible storm, at least.
Subaru: S…So in the end we’re back at square one anyway!?

okay like last time, I will compile my reaction/thoughts for ep13 and gbc as a whole :D (i don't do this often bc I can't write well... but..)
I knew it.... I don't like Hina HAHA. Like, I get her, but you really left Nina just like that huh?
Go tell her off! Maybe people will say that Nina is having a hero complex or sticking her nose in to other people's business, but I think it's very brave of her.
Also, ngl, I didn't expect for this to be the reason why she was bullied...
Momoka no......
Miura-san is a goat for this one and why does Subaru looks like she's saying "God, why did it end up being me explaining it to you"
Seriously having this truck right by their agency is a huge slap to the face
Nina Fang (also Nina stop reading the negative comments...)
"I was wrong and Hina was right all long." You know what? Fuck you, Hina. I know at present it's like Hina lowkey pushing Nina and motivating her, but I can't appreciate it that much lmao.
I love the moments where Momoka gets all serious/mature mode
Momoka apologizing.... seeing everyone getting shocked about it.... Honestly, this one broke my heart a bit. Momoka, who had lost all self-confidence, had rebuilt it very slowly because of Nina's and everyone else's trust in her.
So, seeing the song that was made by her with the members in mind not doing well must be a blow to that fragile confidence yet again. She was guilty that she let everyone down.
you're not wrong, nina. i promise you.
Everyone is tired (affectionate) of Nina's outbursts while Momoka looks awestruck... Of course, we will add this to the album of the Momoka Gayze (tm) but I think this is also related to her self-confidence.
I just said that Momoka felt guilty and like how Momoka blew Nina away in Ep. 1, Nina's outburst blew her away in a way that no, no one was blaming Momoka for their failure and the person that she is closest to still believes and trusts in her.
That awestruck gaze, admiring Nina's confidence and unwavering belief for her and the group. To the song. To their decision and that they weren't wrong. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but let me be lmao.
ugh the softness in her gayze.... i can't...
SHUT THE FUCK UP HINA. Nina is brave enough to do the things no one would normally do!!
bro whoever that was, it's on sight. also momoka, subaru. fight em
tomo no...
sigh... i love togetoge
let them drink!!!
Momoka gayze again
You love this city (and Momoka) and met friends (and a girlfriend) right Nina?
Ngl, I did like the touch that no miracle happened. Like, oh wow, a sudden burst of tickets selling! It is what it is.
First time when i'm sad we didn't get a training arc for Nina playing guitar
I love them
idiot (affectionate)
ngl. the song is not for me HAHAHA but welp. I will take this camera angle. thanks.
Okay, now for GBC as a whole: I adore this show so fucking much. I didn't expect to fall in love with the show when I started watching it, but man. I am so glad that I didn't wait for this to finish and got to wait each week for a new episode with everyone.
Personally, the ending was okay. It feels like it's just the beginning, so it didn't feel like an ending ending. Idk how to explain it. It just.... it's like not everything has been concluded.
Regarding momonina: I am not surprised that nothing happened on camera. But with all the subtext and hints, I will take it. Sure, I wished they addressed the confession more openly, but you can't win it all.
Overall, this is my anime of the season, possibly anime of the year, and definitely one of my all time favorites. Maybe I'll make a post about the ED (since it's an epilogue), about momonina, or my fave moments throughout the season but we'll see haha.
"I wasn't wrong, was I?"
"To fall in love with Girls Band Cry."

Note
I hope you love brother’s conflict, it was a one of the shows that awaken the yandere kink in me.
So for my request can I have yandere subaru (my favorite brother) with a rival team reader. Like I know this boy is all about sports and basketball and he is pretty competitive in both anime and the webnovel. So how would he take reader despite being smaller, weaker than him beat him at basketball. Maybe after his defeat he forms an obsession in beating them so he unintentionally stalks them for a bit but only to learn their techniques and sports regimeb but as he observes how their actually like him, working hard for their passion. I can see him and reader being intentionally paired up (intentionally with subaru family backing the event) for a cross team sports bonding event
It was pretty good! I’m not usually into that kind of anime, but I could sense the yandere-ness so it was a fun watch! I kind of went off the request a little, hope that’s okay!
Also, I know nothing about basketball, so I tried to leave it vague. Let’s just pretend that boys teams play girls teams for some reason, okay?
Title: Taken By Surprise
Pairings: Asahina Subaru x Reader
WARNINGS: Yandere themes, slight misogyny
Summary: Subaru underestimated you and the attraction he feels for you.
30 seconds left on the clock.
Sweat dripped down Subaru’s face as he tried to get ahold of the ball. Stolen again by the pretty number 3. Her ponytail cut through the air as she dribbled the ball to the other side of the court and, before he could stop her, leapt into the air.
The ball left her hands and sank through the hoop without touching the rim. The ball had just barely hit the ground when the buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the game and a heavy loss for Subaru’s team.
He had thought it would be easy to beat a girls’ team. Boys were stronger, after all. But the girls team was strong, especially their number 3. You.
Subaru watched as you high-fived your teammates, glowing with victory. He couldn’t help but feel jealous. That should be his victory that you stole. And he couldn’t figure out how you had done it.
There was something so graceful about the way you played. The way your body soared through the air, the way you landed after a jump, the way you ran across the court- it was all done in a way he’d never seen before.
It made him feel awkward and clumsy just watching you.
There had to be some sort of secret behind your moves. A secret technique that he couldn’t see in the excitement of the game.
And he wanted to know just what it was.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subaru was lucky that you attended the same college that he did. That way, he could end practice a little early with the excuse that he felt under the weather, and cut across the grass field separating the girls’ gym from the boys’.
He had to stand on a fire hydrant to see through the high windows of the gym, but it was worth it. He could spot you right away- your pretty hair tied back as you ran across the waxed floors, basketball bouncing beside you.
He couldn’t understand what technique you could possibly have that was better than his. You were a girl, smaller than him, weaker than him… What did you have that he didn’t? What magic did you possess to make you naturally so much better than him?
For one, you were lithe and quick, making it easy for you to steal the ball and cross the gym with it. You could duck under his lanky arms and outpace him easily. Two, you seemed intelligent enough to outplay him in some cases.
For some reason, he kept thinking back to the times you were close to him during the game. So close that he could feel your body heat. How almost adorable it was that you were trying to guard him when you couldn’t measure up to his size or strength.
Watching from this angle, he could appreciate your gracefulness even more. You were like a butterfly flitting weightlessly across the court, yet a force to be reckoned with once you got the ball. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee really fits someone like you. He thought.
Practice ended too quickly for him to figure out your secret. He knew, logically, that he should wait for tomorrow’s practice, but when you slipped out of the gym, smiling brightly as you waved goodbye, he couldn’t help but follow you. He lagged behind you, ducking behind hedges and cutting through front lawns, buzzing with excitement to see your secret routine.
Unfortunately for him, you went straight inside your house once you arrived, not stopping to mess around with the hoop attached to your garage. He considered going home, but something drew him nearer.
He checked through each window. Living room, kitchen, main bedroom, hallway, and, finally, your bedroom. Deep in his quickly-beating heart, he knew this is where he wanted to be. He took a position in the hedges and watched as you lay down on your bed and began to play on your phone.
This wasn’t what he had planned. You weren’t playing basketball, not even in mobile game form. And yet, here he was, watching you through the window like a creep. He knew he had crossed a line, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. Not when you had such a pretty smile on your lips.
It was the first time he’d considered that his fascination with you had less to do with your basketball skills and more to do with, well, you.
And he wasn’t sure he could stop.

Top 5 Backstories in Anime/Manga
5. “Cushion of Grass” - Mushishi
“In this world, every person and place has a right to exist. It’s true for you, too. Nature itself allowed you to come back. The entire world as a whole is your home.”
Although Mushishi has a more "monster of the week" structure and isn't focused on developing fleshed out character arcs, the series still gives us two wonderful backstory episodes about our protagonist, Ginko. In "Cushion of Grass", an older mushi-shi comes across a young Ginko who's collapsed in the woods, surrounded by mushi. Ginko stays for a little while, but things take a turn for the worse when Ginko accidentally drops the egg of the unborn mountain lord, killing it.
While adult Ginko is a content and capable traveler and professional, child Ginko is a lonely outcast without a home or any place he can permanently stay, given he attracts mushi. It's even revealed that other mushi-shi would take advantage of him to attract mushi to different areas so he could get them jobs.
Ginko doesn't think someone like him belongs anywhere. And then he causes the death of the new mountain lord. But despite this, he's allowed to return to the world after getting pulled into the world of mushi. The man who had been looking after him tells him that, although he can't forgive him for what he did, he needs to remember that he belongs in this world. That every living thing has a right to exist, including him. The entire world is his home. This sets off Ginko's worldview we see throughout the series. He finds contentment in his lonely life of wandering and truly does seem to feel home wherever he is. He believes that humans and mushi both deserve to exist in the world.
"Cushion of Grass" is a beautifully written backstory, and the anime does an amazing job bringing it to life.
4. “Parent and Child” - Re:Zero
“‘I don’t love you.’ ‘I disown you.’ You are not… my son.’ I wished, you’d just say that to me, and throw me away. I wished, you’d give up on me.” - Natsuki Subaru
How Re:Zero fans watched this and still thought Subaru was just some whiny annoying protagonist who never learns his lessons is beyond me. In this, we truly see how much he has grown as he undergoes the Witch's trial in the Sanctuary.
Even with this series being full of truly tragic backstories, the story of Subaru's normal childhood still made me the most emotional.
Subaru is a very smart and talented kid with skills all around and a charismatic personality. He's good at school and sports and is very popular. His father is the same way, and he grows up constantly being compared to him. His identity ends up becoming wrapped up in the image of his father. Although this may seem harmless and although his father did nothing wrong, the constant comparisons give Subaru a highly idealized view of who he's supposed to be, and he eventually becomes incredibly burnt out by all the expectations placed on him to be as amazing as his father. He starts self-sabotaging, neglecting his studies and getting into trouble with the other kids. Eventually he stops going to school altogether and locks himself in his room all day.
Despite having people who care about him and growing up being praised, Subaru truly hates himself. He even admits he wishes his loving parents would beat him and get rid of him, because he thinks that's what he deserves. It feels devastating to him that someone as low as him would receive any form of love. He intentionally tries to make himself a lazy and worthless human being, hoping it will cause people to resent him the way he resents himself.
In the trial, he finally has to confront this aspect of himself and he does so with success.
3. Twilight’s backstory - Spy x Family
“I didn’t know anything. I never did. I didn’t know the real reason the war had started. I thought there wouldn’t be a war at all. I’d been convinced they’d all died in the bombing. I hated the enemy without knowing why. I picked up a gun without knowing why. I obeyed my country without knowing why. Ignorance isn’t bliss. Ignorance is weakness. Ignorance is a sin.” - Agent Twilight
Despite being a comedy manga, Spy x Family does not shy away from the horrors of war, especially when it gives us Agent Twilight’s backstory. The arc opens up on Twilight and his friends as children playing a game about war, and Twilight is by far the most into it. As we continue and see him talk about the political conflict and clash with his father, we find out he strongly glorifies war and demonizes the enemy, the country of Ostania. He’s been fed propaganda against the enemy, even to the point where he and all the children believe the Ostanians are literal monsters. But then a war completely breaks out and steals everything from him. His town is bombed, and then the town he and his mother escape to. His mother is killed in the second bombing and he becomes a homeless war orphan. When he’s older he joins the military, determined to crush the enemy. He becomes a very capable and destructive soldier.
His life changes after meeting his now friend Frankie, an enemy soldier who thinks the war is stupid and pointless. He’s disillusioned when Frankie tells him that the Ostanian’s were fed the exact same propaganda as the Westalian’s on Twilight’s side, and that both sides are just human beings fighting a pointless war. He realizes he’s been living a life of ignorance. This is how he becomes a spy and vows to prevent another war from every happening again.
Overall, this arc is one of my favorite pieces of anti-war media I’ve seen. It depicts how dangerous and evil propaganda and ignorance is, and how it turns people against each other only to feed a political agenda. The panels depicting the aftermath of the bombings are truly chilling, and Endo doesn’t sanitize how horrible the war is, even if this is normally just supposed to be a funny manga.
2. “A World Unbent” - Natsume Yuujinchou
“If I keep going, I might find out how to get rid of this thing. Without it, I won’t have to feel so irritated. I might be able to be a nicer person. Even to my family…” - Natori
“Maybe things look distorted because you try to see through these useless things.” - Matoba
The episode that solidified Natori Shuuichi as the best character in NatsuYuu for me. This backstory depicts Natori’s introduction to the world of exorcism. The plot itself is simple enough, but it’s such a beautiful character study of the character who's sadly received too much undue hate from the fandom. We see the big contrast between present day Natori and teenage Natori watching this. The former is friendly and charming and the latter is standoffish and irritable. It truly gives us a look into his inner turmoil and psyche that we don’t get to see as often in the present day.
Natori as a teen is shown to be very detached from people and surroundings, and he describes his world as “wavering”. He meets teenage Matoba, who is sure of himself and confident and never wavers. Natori immediately finds himself unable to deal with Matoba despite him being his first peer to share his abilities. He resists his assistance, fearing his accomplishments will mean nothing if they come with the help of someone more capable. We see that Natori is desperate to become strong and good enough by himself.
Contrary to how he acts present day, we see that Natori has a very low and fragile view of himself, even feeling that he’s a bad guy. He's an outcast both at home and at school, and has no one he can lean on. He's enticed to the world of exorcism, especially after meeting Takuma, who treats him with kindness. He wants to become a stronger person who helps people, and he looks for this in the exorcist community. He also hopes to one day find a way to get rid of the ominous lizard youkai that crawls around on his body. If he gets rid of it, he wonders if this will let him become a kinder person.
While present day Natori is someone who does not wear his heart on his sleeve, "A World Unbent" allows us to see deeper into him and his character in complete vulnerability. There's a beautiful aching to the narration of this episode which rivals the rest of a series full of beautiful aching narration. It makes it clear how deeply Natori is hurting, and how much he's longing to find something he can cling to in life and how much he yearns to be a kind person. It's just overall a beautiful backstory episode that provides so much depth to an already well written character.
1. “Dark Era” - Bungo Stray Dogs
“I joined the mafia because of an expectation I had. I thought if I was close to death and violence—close to people giving into their urges and desires, then I would be able to see the inner nature of humankind up close. I thought if I did that… I would be able to find something—a reason to live.” - Dazai
“Be on the side that saves people… if both sides are the same, choose to become a good person. Save the weak, protect the orphaned. You might not see a great difference between right and wrong, but… saving others is something just a bit more wonderful.” - Oda
Are my NatsuYuu followers surprised I ranked something even above "A World Unbent"? Long before I even watched the series my brother told me that this was the best backstory he’d ever seen. He was right. Dark Era follows the last few living days of Osamu Dazai’s friend Oda Sakunosuke, a character not introduced until this arc. Despite being best friends with the violent Port Mafia executive Dazai, Oda is a low ranking member who doesn’t kill people. His reason for not killing is that he wants to become a writer. A person who takes lives has no right to write about them. However, after getting caught in the plot of a foreign ex-military group whose boss desires the perfect person to kill him in battle, he’s driven to violently eradicate the group after they kill the orphans he’s been providing for.
Although he still has his goofy moments, we get to see how terrifying and dark Dazai was as a Port Mafia executive, ordering executions and beating and threatening his then subordinate, Akutagawa. Pointing a gun at Akutagawa’s head, he contrasts himself with Oda, a man who protects orphans and doesn’t kill people, saying the light of righteousness is not on his side. We see him at the very end of his mafia career, as Oda’s death drives him to leave.
Before he leaves to fight the group, Oda hears from Dazai that the reason he joined the mafia was because he wanted to be close to the violence and bloodshed and people giving in to human desires, hoping in it he’d find some meaning in living. While he’s dying, Oda tells Dazai he’ll never find that and he’ll never be able to fill the dark lonely hole inside of him. But he goes on to say that if neither a life of helping or a life of killing will be able to bring meaning to his existence, he should choose to become a better person and live his life saving people. That’s a more beautiful way to live.
Dazai follows his dying friend’s advice and leaves the violent Port Mafia to eventually join the Armed Detective Agency where he works now. Oda’s words were a beautiful way to approach someone as nihilistic as Dazai who saw no meaning in life and abandoned ideas of what’s good or evil. If there’s no meaning in a life of killing or a life of saving, it’s more beautiful to choose the side that saves people. Dazai's nihilistic worldview isn't argued with or challenged. Oda never tries to convince him that there will be meaning in his life if he keeps searching for it. Instead, he reminds him that beauty and good can exist in life, even if it is meaningless. Good and kindhearted Oda deeply cares for Dazai despite his friend's darkness and lack of morality, and in the end he's able to find the right thing to tell him that makes him change his lifestyle to become a better person.
Dark Era, in my opinion, is the masterpiece of Bungo Stray Dogs and is a beautiful story all on its own.

Thoughts on Re:Zero S3 episode 5
C.R.E.E.P.Y ✨CREEPY!✨ This dude is so effing creepy I swear everytime this dude's on screen, I just get the strong urge to wanna punch him as Hard as possible because of how deeply I HATE him, and the fact that this man has not only 184 wives, but probably MORE, makes him even more Hate-able (Greedy bastard)
Ouuuu I have so many mixed feelings about this but Julius is right, you can handle your own selfish desires AFTER you rescue the city, in other words: we'll get em next time 😖
My boi Subaru doing WORK with that whip, he could give Indiana Jones a run for his money ^^
Oh, well that's Not creepy at all 😅
Yep nope Don't get me wrong I Love Subaru, but HOW THE F*CK is he supposed to beat someone who can do shit like THIS!? Like bruh at this point, I would've just Reset by now because there's No way I can beat someone like this without prep time
Ngl, this scene was ABSOLUTELY Incredible, I legit felt nothing but Chills watching this, like WOW, the animators effing COOKED ^^
Wait so you're telling me, all the flies including that Dragon over there are the People she Held HOSTAGE!?🤯 Omg she legit basically killed them, yeah at this point it's Time for a Reset Subaru, like there's No way this could get any worse right?
Ya know at this point, I'm entirely convinced that the entire Witches cult specifically consists of Crashouts, because WTF IS SHE TALKING ABOUT!? 😟
Nah she Was DIRTY for this ^^;
Oh well now he HAS to Die, because there's No way he can move around let alone Fight with a Missing effing leg. ya know I just find it crazy that most of these fights would've been over by now if Reinhard was here but because his bitch ass of father is Gatekeeping him, we have to be left with this Suffering (btw that's TWICE now Subaru has lost his leg, my dude is completely unlucky)
You gotta be effing kidding me, annd just when I THOUGHT things couldn't get any worse
The homie OTTO!! Omg I'm so happy he's alright, ok 1st 2 things: 1, How the hell did he escape Gluttony and 2, once again the homie comes in clutch because Now we got Reinhard back! >_<
Oh well that answers my question Lol 😅
God I love their relationship ^w^ I was very hesitant about Reinhard and felt but after the 1st episode of this season, they won me over, now I just WANT to see them together ^^ I wonder how Subaru and the gang are doing
My boi Subaru still doing shit with a missing leg!? Nah this man has NO LIMITS, This Dude is Literally the Ethan winters of anime
Man what a STELLAR episode, Ngl, this show is probably one of my favorite Drama isekais, I just love how much Subaru has actually grown as a character, and capella is such a SICK BITCH Omg I was not expecting that, also the fact they actually flooded the city is Insane, like the witches cult are not playing this season huh, I just hope it doesn't end empire strikes back style with them actually winning and Subaru failing to rescue Emilia no matter how many times he resets, that would be absolutely terrible, anyway yeah totally can't wait for the next one
BONUS:
Oh look, Carnage😅 ok in all seriousnes tho I actually have a Question regarding this scene, capella asks for the city to give her something on her list of demands aside from typhons remains, that being the so called "artificial spirit that has been chillin in this city" could she be talking about Beatrice? Because remember Beatrice is technically not a human, she's a spirit that is basically echidna's daughter, why would she want Beatrice, is it because Beatrice is too powerful even for her therefore she wants to take her off the playing field, or is it for something else entirely? Hmmmm🤔

What do you think of Kotori, and of Kotori/Kamui ?
Because I read an old interview by CLAMP that said she was loathed up until her death, that readers saw her as a boring character who’s only appeal was being cute, a typical shoujo heroine in a manga that’s very much not a typical shoujo.
Also she needs to be rescued at least twice, and eventually goes insane/comatose.
The brutality of her death stopped the hatred as it was so shocking, but the view I most commonly see on her is “she’s cute, she’s nice, she could have been more interesting but her character is threadbare and her relationships underdeveloped”.
I also felt the anime emphasised Kotori and Kamui’s bond a lot more than it did Fuuma’s and Kamui’s, which considering that Subaru (and Seishirou)’s screen time got reduced to the bare minimum and they never even mentioned Tohru/Saya, makes me wonder what the producers were eager to follow in the footsteps of the Tokyo Babylon OVA’s English dub.
I like Kotori and her relationship with Kamui but in more unbiased terms I think she could have been written bit better. Or ar least handled from different angle and fleshed out a bit more
Honestly characters like Kotori or even Sorata, Yuzuriha or Keiichi are breath of fresh air in cataclysm X setting. So even if you do have one or two 'boring vanilla shojo' character(s) it wouldn't take much away from grimness of the story; plus serves as tie to normality and something other characters cannot have. Issue is that all mentioned have some depth to them, whereas Kotori suffers from early X being a pacing mess. Although I do have some issues with how she was written (but it mostly boils down to X having too many characters and not enough page time to develop them all) but I'll come to that.
Characters like Kotori end up disliked for aforementioned reasons but you also need to keep late 90s/early 00s ship wars in mind. Tho that was then, now I doubt anyone would dislike Kotori because she gets in way of other ships or because Kamui had a puppy crush on her or something. As for anime - it was early 00s, anime wasn't labeled as shonen ai. Of course anything queer had to be toned down. Plus anime was strangely going towards shonen-ly vibe than shojo which X manga doubtlessly carries. Capitalism baby, madhouse knew they could earn a lot more by keeping queer stuff out to attract vaster audience
As for Kotori's writing, my beaf with it was how she was handled from vol6 up to her death. That coma thing only perpetuated further how she's a fragile girl in dire need of being rescued. That by itself also shouldn't be the problem (plus take into account that Kotori's reaction to some gruesome stuff in X is more realistic than let's say Fuuma's) but she never got a chance to be fleshed out and have some development because she was killed. She basically died for sake of Kamui's character development, to be direct.
Clamp admitted so themselves they created Hokuto with intention of killing her but she was fleshed out as a character; had her own life separated from male characters around her. That's why I wouldn't say same thing about Hokuto. Kotori's character revolves too much around other two male characters in her life to the point where she herself is indivisible from them. So I can't really blame casual readers for reflecting on manga they've read ages ago and going 'there was nothing much going around her, she was boring' because her brutal demise was really most memorable thing about her.
Should she be hated for being bland? Not really. But would it have been better if Clamp added a bit more flavor in Kotori's personality, agency and wishes separate from Kamui? Sure.
#i hope this makes sense#it mostly comes down to X having too many characters and not enough time to develop them all#x/1999#kotori monou#i do like that one scene in front of tree where she was with kamui#and their relationship in general cuz of thematic of innocent childhood crush being tainted by tragedy

Hange’s Plan for fun
A/N: This is part of the Harvest Moon AOT Collab
Description: Hange has the idea to give the teens a little bit of Fall fun. Modern!AU
Taglist: @postwarlevi
“Hange, why did you have to have this idea?” Levi pinched the bridge of his nose as the teens argued in the back about who was going to pick the most apples.
“Because they need something fun. Plus I’m hoping it gets that stick out of your-,”
“Hey are we almost there?” Armin asked from the backseat, wrapping a hand on Hange’s headrest, as they were the one driving, much to Levi’s dismay earlier.
“Why are you driving? Do the words depth perception mean nothing to you?” Levi had asked, to which Hange had laughed.
“At least I’m tall enough that my feet reach the pedals,” which got all the recruits laughing hysterically before they piled into the Subaru Ascent.
“I still think I should’ve drove,” Levi grumbled.
“Levi, you’ve never been here. It’s a newer place and I only found this last year by accident,”
“How would you know if I’ve been here or not?”
“Because you almost never do anything fun,”
“Yes I do!”
“Spending time with Y/N doesn’t count,”
“I think it’ll be fun,” Armin piped up, his hand still on Hange’s headrest.
“Do they have food?” Connie asked and Mikasa snapped a look at him.
“Of course they have food. It’s an apple orchard,” Mikasa snapped, tired of the arguing from the backseat. Mainly the arguing was with Eren and Jean, typical.
“Fresh picked apples,” Sasha smiled, a little dribble of drool collecting at the corner of her mouth.
“Store apples just don’t taste the same,” she sighed and Mikasa nodded.
“Alright we are almost there. Ground rules,” Hange looked in the rear view mirror to see Eren and Jean arguing again, and the look on Mikasa’s face looked like she wanted to punch both of them in the jaw to shut them up.
“Hey!” Levi raised his voice at the teens and they all quieted down in an instant.
“Thank you Levi, now ground rules. No eating apples that you didn’t pick. Also no teasing the animals. No fighting while we’re there, And most importantly, no food fights,” Hange explained.
“Can we just duct tape Eren and Jean’s mouths shut?” Connie asked and Hange laughed and then thought about it.
“They probably have apple or pumpkin themed duct tape, so maybe,”
“You wanna wipe that scowl off your face handsome?” A voice cut through the din of small squealing children, excited to be at the orchard. Levi’s eyes snapped to see his girlfriend stepping out of her car.
“Y/N!” Levi gave a rare smile, to which the cadets looked on with shocked faces. The only expressions they’d seen on Levi’s face was either blank or a scowl.
“You really think I wanted you being all sour and cranky? As if!” Hange smirked, but Levi had ignored them, instead jogging to wrap his girlfriend in his arms.
“Who knew Levi had a girlfriend?” Jean asked and then Eren snickered.
“Or the fact that she’s a head taller than him,” Eren laughed, to which Mikasa smacked him upside the head.
“Do you want him to get cranky?” She asked.
“Look at you! When did you go shopping? I’ve never seen these in your closet,” Levi gave Y/N one of his extremely rare carefree smiles.
“Last night when Hange told me the plan to bring the munchkins here. Couldn’t not get all decked out,” Y/N smiled and grabbed Levi’s hand, knowing that hand holding is what he was comfortable with regarding PDA, especially in front of the recruits.
Y/N was decked out with riding boots, ripped jeans with a deep berry flannel tied at her waist and a matching berry red shirt that came to her elbow, and a white scarf wrapped around her neck.
“So these are the recruits,” Y/N smiled, her eyes scanning the teens before her eyes met with Hange’s.
“Hange!” Y/N squealed, running towards one of her friends, arms outstretched.
“Y/N! I’m glad you could make it!” Hange smiled.
“The plan worked,” Y/N whispered in Hange’s ear.
“Y/N I want to take the recruits out to the apple orchard out in the boonies. But I know Levi is going to be a cranky old man, unless you come with,”
“I’m in. Work is finally calmed down where I can take a day off. Just text me the address and I’ll be there,”
“Barely. Surprised that Levi didn’t smack two of them the minute I turned the car on,”
“Eren and Jean I’m guessing,” Y/N laughed. She’d never met them, but from all the stories that Levi told her when he’d tell her about work, that would be her likely guess.
“How’d you know?”
“Just a hunch,” Y/N laughed before turning to the recruits.
“Hey guys! My name is Y/N,” The recruits were taken aback from how opposite Y/N and Levi were.
This has to be a comedic set up. How could Levi, seemingly antisocial and doom and gloom Levi get a girlfriend, let alone one bubbly and social. The recruits seemingly all had the same thoughts, but pushed it aside because Hange had left for a moment and now had everyone’s tickets in their hand.

Mhm! I am also rooting for Meteor Impact to get animated bc G O D, but right now the signs are not pointing towards that one right now. Tbh Meteor Impact would be a good one to end on. And yeah, Marionette was in the original anime, but so was Rocket Start. And they also animated a part of RS (conversation between Wataru and Natsume) in the Element anime which is why I was (and still am tbh) leaning to Rocket Start potentially not getting animated. BUT I MUST BELIEVE.
Their climax story is literally an apology for sidelining Trickstar as protagonists so much in !! era, so they could start fixing that problem with RS anime and event ^_^
And yeah they absolutely get a bit sidelined and overshadowed by other units, though sometimes they do give them the favorite child treatment, emphasis on SOMETIMES. Xday, their climax story, for example was AMAZING especially when compared to other unit climax stories. But the rest of !! Trickstar? Ayayaya man... they fell off. Their entire problem throughout the !! era is about how much they fell off, how they're broke and how much ES hates them bc of their troublemaker reputation. They did basically nothing with that at all except for in their climax story (I mean Satellite is also like that but sssshh) where they teases that Trickstar's next arc is gonna be about them once again rebelling and potentially going independent! So I'm excited to see where they're headed in the future and what the actual arc is going to be like.
So imagine getting hit in the face by potential new idols. Goodbye😭
I didn't want new idols in the first place because it'll fuck with the rotation and HappyEle already does pretty poorly with balancing their characters already with focus and such.
But if these new idols end up taking up all the focus again when it looked like Xday was trying to lead to Trickstar making a comeback as the true protagonists, it just makes me sad. I'll stay hopeful until we got more info though, but it's looking bleak out here. Especially the rotation is looking bleak if these new characters are actually playable idols oml.
It really feels like it's gonna be like "hey so Subaru is our posterboy, but do we actually have any plans for him?"
"We do, but we're not gonna do any of that. He'll just stay our posterboy"
Like dude the papahoshi storyline is found dead in Miami, god help me out of here. First they tease he might be alive in Sanctuary which is like 2.5 years ago and then Xday was about gifting Subaru the gift of seeing his dad again through an old video showcasing what papahoshi was like as a dad and now... I can see myself waiting another 5 years. But that's typical for enstars. It's not like papahoshi is the whole reason anything happens here anyways. Not at all. Why would he. And why would his son be important to anything in the plot. Protagonist? No. Just my househusband.
possible rocket start anime announcement 🤝 possible meteor impact anime announcement
one of my friends passing out instantly at the announcement
ok i have not been keeping up with enstars at all but god the rotation would be so fucked. i like that they got some good content in their climax though!!!! honestly it does suck that the revolutionary group got sidelined a lot in !! and now we need !!! for more. and now we have a new idol group for it as well. the story is gonna take 8 years for 1 normal year at this rate
i had no idea any of this was happening. subaru's dad. i genuinely forget about him half the time because no development ever comes from it (that i've seen it's been a while) but do not worry. we have your new househusband/crush to draw more lore from. and another idol group. god help us

Sayo's Route: Dark 08
Sayo's Route Masterlist
Monologue
After Kou asked to be friends, I ran back into the school building. I had completely forgotten that I had left to avoid Laito. Apparently he was still looking for me, and spotted me when I ducked into the empty infirmary to catch my breath.
-Sayo leans against the nurse’s desk, placing a hand on her chest to calm herself
(Jeez…I didn’t have to run away like that. But he did catch me off guard…I’m sure he agrees with everyone else now…that I’m cruel…)
-Laito enters the infirmary
Laito: Sayo-chan~ I finally found you. What are you doing running around? Did one of those other vampires find you? This is why you shouldn’t avoid me, you know?
-Sayo doesn’t acknowledge him due to still being lost in thought. Laito notices her cheeks are pink and that she’s making an expression he’s never seen before. He can’t tell what’s going through her mind, but knows something must have happened
Laito: Earth to Sayo-chan? Are you so lost in thought that you really can’t hear me?
-He walks up to her and grabs her wrist. She finally looks up at him in surprise
Sayo: Laito! When did you get here?
Laito: I’ve been here this whole time, you know? You weren’t paying attention. What happened? You’re acting awfully strange.
Sayo: Nothing happened.
-He glares, leaning closer to her
Laito: Don’t lie to me…! I can smell that guy on you.
-He grabs her other wrist, pushing her towards one of the infirmary beds. She stumbles back a few steps but then plants her feet firmly on the ground.
Sayo: God dammit, Laito. You’re being ridiculous.
-She glares, trying to free her wrists
Sayo: Yes, me and Kou talked. That’s it. If I didn’t know better, I would say you’re acting jealous. Come to think of it, you got upset after seeing Subaru’s bite mark back then too. Jealousy isn’t like you, Laito. Care to explain yourself?
Laito: Tch…you sure are full of yourself right now, aren’t you?
-Kou enters the infirmary
Kou: Ah, geez…I thought I saw you following her…
Sayo: Kou…
(Oh boy…I’m not exactly prepared to face him right now after running away like that…)
Kou: Oi, would you cut that out?
Laito: Haah…what are you doing here, interrupting our fun? You could have just watched Sayo-chan fight and squirm against me…Would it have turned you on, perhaps?
Kou: Che…You really piss me off…worse than an animal in heat.
-Sayo mutters under her breath
Sayo: Good comparison…
Laito: Nfu~ I don’t care what you say about me. However, you did interrupt us…What did you even come here for?
Kou: I have unfinished business with her.
Laito: Hm…Fine. Suck her as much as you want, as long as you do it in front of me.
-Laito pushes Sayo to Kou, who catches her
Kou: Che…I hate this guy. He really is disgusting. How do you put up with him?
Sayo: That’s a good question.
Laito: Don’t act like you don’t like me, Sayo-chan. We may fight, but you secretly like me, don’t you~?
Sayo: What on earth are you talking about?
Kou: How irritating…I’d love to rip you to shreds, but you’ll never understand unless someone tells you. The way you’re acting is pushing her away. She thinks that the only reason you do things is to get something pleasurable from her. She isn’t interested in a relationship where she’s being used.
Laito: I’m just trying to show my love through my actions. Is there anything beyond that? I’m the type of guy who can’t trust anything unless it is given proper shape, you see?
Kou: Hah…! Don’t try to talk your way out of this. You understand very well, don’t you?
Laito: …Do you want to be killed? You may be a vampire, but you don’t seem to be a pureblood…Do you really think you’re a match for me?
Kou: …You really are the lowest of the low. I’ve seen plenty of your kind. When things don’t go your way, you use authority or money to save your skin…I won’t let you silence me, understand?
Sayo: Knock it off, you two!
-The two both turn to her in surprise
Sayo: Listen here, both of you. I don’t give a damn about Laito. You piss me off more than anything. And Kou, you’ve got one major thing wrong here. Laito doesn’t understand anything about love. All he cares about is pleasure. I don’t think he’ll ever be able to understand it. It’s just a word he uses to get girls to do what he wants.
-Sayo turns and walks out of the infirmary
Monologue
Neither Laito or Kou came after me when I left, but I heard Kou say that I was wrong as I walked away. I don’t know why he insists that he’s right. Laito reacted strongly to Kou’s insinuation, but I figured that’s probably just because he was offended or something, not because it could be true. I’m sure this wasn’t what Kou wanted to talk to me about…I felt bad leaving again, but I didn’t want to be a part of that conversation anymore.

SS Finals - Everyday: Chapter 2
Location: Seisou Hall (Rei, Eichi & Aira’s Room) Characters: Subaru & Eichi
Eichi: I’m coming up with my own theories and strategies in regards to the several issues surrounding your father.
But in order to strengthen or discard some of them, I’d like to ask you one question.
Subaru: Sure, but that’s a pretty roundabout way of asking, Eichi-senpai. I guess you’re always like that, though! Ahaha ☆
Eichi: It may not seem like it, but I’m doing my best to be considerate.
Others tend to see me as a rotten demon, but I’m not so twisted to the point I’d find joy in exposing someone’s wounds.
Especially with you, Subaru-kun. Never have I wished for something to happen that would taint your radiant existence.
Subaru: I know~ I came to realise something once more when we were chatting in Hokkaido.
I realised that we’ve been pretty spoiled all this time.
Eichi: That’s not quite right. “Trickstar” has been held in high esteem by everyone who loves them.
You guys have certainly not reaped the benefits in an unfair manner. It’s an appropriate reward for your hard work and radiance.
Subaru: Aren’t we going off on a tangent? Didn’t you have something to ask me?
Eichi: Hehe. Do you dislike being showered in praise so straightforwardly like this? I suppose you must not be used to it because it’s not something you often experienced when you were young.
Subaru: Could you stop trying to analyse me~?
Eichi: Sorry, just a habit. I’m very interested in you, Subaru-kun.
Anyway, this is my question for you: “Have you, at any point in time, ever gotten hold of any information about your father?”
In another sense, it could be rephrased to ask, “Who gave you that information?”. That is the most important part, after all.
Was it “Gatekeeper”? Or Anzu-chan – our star of hope that you saw once in Hokkaido?
Subaru: You’re treating me like some unidentified mysterious animal.
Oh, there’s a bunch of things I wanna ask about Anzu-chan, so let’s talk about that later.
Eichi: Sure. There is a lot of information I can give about her.
But… perhaps it’s still too early to “reveal most of those things”.
At the very least, we should verify “Gatekeeper’s” intentions first, otherwise it’ll be dangerous – no, it might be a waste.
Subaru: ……? “Gatekeeper”? That scary middle-aged man?
Eichi: Yup, that scary middle-aged man. I’m pretty sure he has no love nor interest in idols, yet he has enough power to control the entirety of the industry.
And that’s exactly why he’s a thorn on my side. He’s like a natural disaster or a plague. He’s in a position where it’s difficult for people like us, who have our entire bodies submerged in the idol industry, to touch.
He would most likely be the “trickster” in this story called “SS”.
Subaru: Say what~? That’s supposed to be us, right?
Eichi: Hehe. You guys are the previous champions of “SS” – you’re too qualified in the correct sense. The biggest error you guys made this time was mistaking your own “role”.
You didn’t have Anzu-chan in your arsenal anymore, so it was inevitable, though.
You guys, including “ALKALOID”, were supposed to defeat all of the other Hokkaido idols and become the supreme champions.
Then, you were supposed to advance to the “SS” Finals as an enormous obstacle – just like the previous champions you were.
And we would’ve grown stronger by desperately working hard to defeat you.
Subaru: Did you want us to be like “fine” during the first “DDD”?
Eichi: Yeah. Everyone was too timid during “BIG BANG” and nothing happened.
But ideally, “that” was supposed to have been possible on the big “SS” stage.
No. Your story this year with “BIG BANG” as the beginning should have all “happened according to the context”.
But you’ve made the writer cry – every one of your actions are unpredictable. Although, I’m sure that’s what makes you interesting and allows you to emit such a captivating light.
Well, I suppose it’s all too late at this stage.
Subaru: Well, “SS” isn’t over yet. We can reflect on things after we finish cleaning everything up, right?
The conversation keeps going in all sorts of directions whenever we talk and it’s kinda hard to keep up with you, Eichi-senpai. But the one who told me about my dad wasn’t Anzu or “Gatekeeper”.
He suddenly appeared in front of us after we were touring the country. The one who told me was…
None other than our rivals at last year’s “SS” – Nagisa Ran-senpai of “Eden”.

[Sub Story] Yuzuru Fushimi / Dog Days
📅 26 May 2017
⏰ Summer
🔖 Akira / 1 Chapter
🎭 Yuzuru, Anzu, Koga, Subaru
Yuzuru: I'm sorry for troubling you, Anzu-san.
I'm very grateful you're here to simply accompany me even though it's the middle of our summer break.
Besides, it's supposed to be my duty to take King out for a walk.
Yes, this dog — a noble Golden Retriever — is the Young Master's pet...
His name is King.
Do you like dogs? I'm not very good with them for some reason...
I must overcome this. I want to be a flawless servant with no weaknesses to exploit...
But I can't forget my childhood trauma so half-heartedly.
Mentally, I understand that King no longer poses any threat to me as he has mellowed out over the years.
But no matter what I do, I end up losing to the fact I have such a weakness. Just like the Young Master, King would pick on me quite a lot, after all.
He's done many clever, underhanded things that make me want to doubt if dogs really are on the cute side — like biting me, barking at me, knocking me down to the ground...
Aah, just thinking about it gives me the chills.
I'm certain he thinks I'm of a lower rank than him. He has quite a big ego — did he take after his owner?
But I'm relieved he seems to like you, Anzu-san.
I had to take King for a walk at the park as per the Young Master's orders...
But doing that by myself seemed difficult, no matter how hard I tried.
That's why I relied on you for help, Anzu-san. I have no excuse for having a busy producer like you accompany me for a private matter like this.
I feel nothing but shame towards my own immaturity.
I'd feel relieved if you could tell me you're finding this fun, or that you like dogs, though... ♪
Koga: Oi, Fushimi, get your ass over here! You're late — the hell have you been lazin' around at?
Fushimi: Oh? It's Oogami-sama. I didn't expect to see you here at the park as well...?
Koga: Aahn? Are ya listenin' to a damn word I'm sayin'?
Subaru: Gami-san, Gami-san! Look, the park's full of dogs! Their fur's all fluffy and stuffy-looking~, and it feels like all the barking's gonna make my ears hurt! Ahahaha! ☆
Koga: And you're runnin' 'round with the dogs. You're bein' real annoyin', stay still! Be a good boy like me and Leon here.
Subaru: Oh, it's Gami-san's dog! It's been a while~, but you haven't changed one bit since I last saw you, Pretty Lady-san. ☆
Koga: It's 'Leon' — call him by his name. And Daikichi's still as handsome as ever.
Subaru: No, no, he put on some weight over the summer, see~? He's starting to look like a ball of mochi, so he needs lots of exercise!
Dash dash~, just like that guy in Ra*bits. ♪
Yuzuru: What's going on...? Ohh, no matter where I look, all I see are dogs, dogs, dogs!

Subaru: Oh, I feel like you don't actually know anything and were just out walking your dog? But you're in your unit outfit, so... Umm~?
Yuzuru: Sigh, that's because those were the Young Master's orders...
Subaru: Well, we're doing a photoshoot at the park today about idols and their pet dogs.
It's for some kinda special magazine issue, see, so that's why there's a lotta guys with dogs here~.

Of course, 'cause we're working with dogs, we're doing the shoot outside and not in a studio like usual.

Yuzuru: I see... That must be why the Young Master ordered me to take King out for a walk at the park.
So he was actually picking on me... I'll have to give him a good scolding for this later.
Did you know about this, Anzu-san?
Hm... You're the one who suggested it to him because, as a producer, you're handling various jobs.
I commend you for that. Thank you for your hard work as always. ♪
Aah, you don't need to apologise. If it's one of your projects, I'd want to give it my full effort because you're always helping us.
But I'm worried. Would King even listen to me...?
He'd need to behave and stay still in front of the camera for the photoshoot.
But if he needs to behave, then the Young Master should've been here to do this himself... King isn't my pet dog, after all.
Actually — would I even be allowed to join the photoshoot?
Subaru: It's fine, you know? I even got photos taken of me with other people's dogs, ahaha! ☆
Fusshi~, why d'you give off the vibe that you're bad with dogs? Well, what if you try taking a photo with a smaller dog first, so you could get used to it?
One you can carry in your arms~. My Daikichi's perfect for the job. ♪
In the meantime, I'll be playing with your dog! C'mere, boy! ☆

Yuzuru: Uu, how mean-spirited of you, Oogami-sama... I'm trying to go along with this so that I can get along with King better.

N-now, King... Please come here. ♪

Get closer to him as an equal.
Yuzuru: E-even when you say that...
Subaru: Hey, hey! Why don't you try carrying Daikichi first?
He likes guys who wear sparkly outfits, see~. Isn't fine's outfit sparkly? Okay, here he is~. ☆
Yuzuru: Oof, he's quite heavy... S-should I talk to him? Err, isn't it nice out today~?

I must overcome my hatred for dogs.

Funny you're so passionate about cars Kaz. Because in our time, it's JAPAN who leads the world in car design and production. Hondas Subarus, Nissans, all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. I'd say cars are your country's biggest export next to anime and weird sex toys
Well, we always had a reputation for reliable and well-made vehicles, so I'm totally glad we still have that reputation in your reality, except more widespread. Honestly, I'd never even thought of Japanese cars being exported at all. Usually, they are more confined around Japan, so you never hear news of Japanese exports, except for the anime stuff, but that's Midarai's topic.
Even though I like some raw engine power and the greasy smell of oil flowing through my veins, it's still not enough for me. Sure, a muscle car can take you at exhilarating speeds of about 80-132mph, and give you a thrill nowadays, but when that ride eventually ends, you don't feel the same kind of excitement or awesome factor that you felt before, y'know?
Same thing when it comes to airplanes, you feel that incredible excitement when you step aboard a flight, whether you're traveling or on official business, but when you arrive at your destination, you lose that sense of excitement and adventure that you once had. Don't get me wrong, I'm passionate about both, but there's a substantial lack of mystery and hunger for the unknown that I want to experience.
But when it comes to spaceships, they're automatically the best machines in history! No other machine has ever made me so pumped about being the Ultimate Mechanic. It's THE most freakin' badass thing I've seen in my life, and nothing generates this feeling of awesomeness than space travel.
Hmm.. interesting. Care to elaborate more on why you think rocketships are the ultimate machines?
Glady! To me, spaceships emphasize the three main principles of why I became a mechanic in the first place. First and foremost, it has some of the rawest and sickest power I've ever witnessed. Did you know that the maximum top speed of the Saturn V rocket that launched the Apollo 11 crew into orbit was around 25,000mph?! That's faster than a damm bullet, and it was using around 20 tons of fuel per second!
P-Per second?
Yep! The Second principle is that the total size of the damm thing was about 6.2 million pounds and 910kg! Which is the equivalent of 400 elephants! That rocket was the undisputed king of engine power and gigantic weight. Honestly, I'm still confused as to how the hell NASA managed to pull it all off without the rocket exploding in their face!
And the third, most fundamental principle of all is, that when I eventually get a girlfriend, I'd like to officially take her to observe the stars with me, because that's honestly the beauty of space exploration, besides venturing into the unknown. After all, the night sky looks absolutely beautiful from down here, but why enjoy seeing the view from down here, when you can observe it at the front?
But, uh, there's just one issue with that. It's that no matter how much hard work and effort I put into making such an awesome machine, there's no way I can give a chick a ride in one, especially inside a spaceship.
It's true...If you get motion sickness in a car, you'd have a really awful time inside a spaceship. But a fantasy is honesty very you, I guess. If you ever overcome motion sickness, I can totally imagine you riding a motorcycle with a girl.
Who knows? Maybe that girl will be willing to come aboard a spaceship with you someday, and you guys will be able to observe the glowing stars from within the galaxy itself.
...
So you think so too? I mean... it's normal... to think like that... right?
Why wouldn't it be normal? After all, that's the power of imagination. You can constantly invent and be creative with whatever's at your disposal, and conduct different ideas and theories than what the mainstream population believes in. After all, you have to be rather talented and innovative to become the Ultimate Mechanic, right?
I suppose...
