the circus is coming to town, and what a selection of curiosities it has... 🎪

As soon as I saw the posters @amielot drew for the circus in their Horse Girl AU, I knew I had to try my hand at coloring them in! This AU has stolen my entire heart— if you haven't looked through the AU comics yet, DO THAT RIGHT NOW!! THEY'RE EXCELLENT!!

honestly echo is probably going to die heroically in the next two episodes. he's not with rex, gregor, and wolffe in rebels, he's not with the greater rebellion, and Echo Base exists.

what i'm more curious about is when cody gets his own heroic sacrifice. he's not with rex and he's not with obi wan, so unless he also fell in a sarlacc or got carbonited, he's definitely dead.

anyways, the last episode's title is The Cavalry Has Arrived. and who could be a more fitting "cavalry" than Cody?

concept from my AU (you know the one):

After that horrific scene on Bracca and Rex manages to save Omega, and after the boys slowly come to, Crosshair, who'd been elbowed hard by a chip-influenced Wrecker, finds himself slowly but surely slipping under the chip's influence. He manages to get this out to his brothers, through gritted teeth and hissed syllables.

Rex stuns him out cold, absolutely zero hesitation - in fact, he's more than a little smug about it (after all he said about Echo and Rex back on Anaxes, it's more than a little deserved.

Understandably, the Batchers all take offense at that because the Captain could've given them at least a warning before he went and did that.

But Hunter's mostly upset because he really really wanted to be the one to stun Crosshair.

stupid useless fact: Rex's more brightly colored features, such as hair, may be a result of tera energy and such. But he's still less hero material than Felix, personality wise. He's passive, shy, and not apt to jump right into things. I only see him 'along for the ride' in any blended scarvio verse.

He's IRL reptile energy for real. pretty passive.

Jesse was one of the oldest clones to be involved with the 501st so it hit me right in the chest when I realised that he was one of Rex’s men in helping Anakin train Ahsoka to fight off their enemies earlier in the war, and Jesse was there trying to kill her under the chip’s orders at the end of S7, where she and Rex were fighting for their lives before they were able to escape in the end. Jesse helped her escape from himself, even if he didn’t know it in the beginning. and ohhhhhh I cannot do this, fellas
