No one ask me how many times I’ve cried about Jacen Solo today. Because the answer is embarrassingly high.
Absolutely recommend listening to every book from the New Jedi Order series on your 32 hours of driving to and from vacation.
If you saw a woman driving in a silver car today on the interstate in Illinois openly sobbing, mind your own business. “Traitor” by Matthew Stover made me emotional.

Ok. How about a fic where The Mandalorian takes The Child to Luke Skywalker at the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4?
Alrighty here’s what I came up with.
Notes: 1. Kept timelines/characters present at the Praxeum vague because I do what I want. 2. Din got the baby into speech therapy for his language delay and he talks now.
-
The Razor Crest dropped out of hyperspace and the looming orange gas giant of Yavin immediately filled the viewscreen. “Here we are,” said Din to the little green child in his lap. “Yavin.”
“Abbin,” repeated the child.
“Yes, Yavin. And we’re headed to Yavin IV. To the Jedi… Praxeum.” Din had never heard the word before, though the context he’d picked up from his call with Skywalker indicated it was a school of some sort.
“Pak-sum,” said the kid.
Din angled the Razor Crest towards the tiny green moon. He’d barely heard of it, though Cara had told him all about how it was the site of the vital Battle of Yavin, where the Death Star had been destroyed by Skywalker himself. Later, Skywalker had decided to establish his school there. Cara didn’t know much about that, but she had been able to tell him a school for potential Jetii did exist and where to attempt contact. Skywalker himself had answered the holo and eagerly invited him and the kid to come visit.
“Abbin!” said the kid, pointing out the viewfinder. He tried to climb up the dashboard, but Din pulled him back into his lap. He might be nervous about visiting the school, and Din didn’t want him to be nervous, and holding the kid always calmed him down.
The Praxeum sent him landing coordinates and he guided the ship down. The kid squealed excitedly as they descended through the lush greenery. “Bwee, bwee, gween!”
“Buir,” corrected Din automatically. “And yes, it’s all green.”
“I wan fwog.”
“We can look for frogs later.” Din had already checked the Holonet and the amphibian species on this planet were not poisonous. “First we’re meeting Skywalker.”
The ship settled onto the ground on a duracrete pad that had been set up in a cleared area of the jungle. Din could see the huge pyramid of the Praxeum nearby. He was so busy looking he barely noticed that his kid had run ahead and was already sliding down the ladder and heading for the door.
“Hey!” Din ran after in time to see the kid already raising his hand to try and move the door with the Force. He scooped him up before he could succeed; disrupting his concentration was about the only strategy Din had left when the kid got stubborn. “Bwee,” whined the kid.
“Hey, listen.” Din held him so that he could see his kid’s face. “Listen, there’s no reason to be nervous. We’re just here to look. If you don’t like it, just say so, and we’ll leave, okay?”
The kid scowled. “Bwee, Abbin,” he said, pointing insistently at the door.
“Okay, okay.” Din reached for the control panel and opened the door.
The humidity and smell of the Yavin jungle immediately hit them full force. The kid squealed, kicking his feet, demanding, “Bwee, down! Wan down!”
“Not yet,” said Din. After all, the kid might still be nervous. No need to let go of him yet.
As soon as Din stepped off the ship he saw Skywalker walking towards him, dressed in long Jedi robes; a woman with red-gold hair and the confident stance of a trained killer accompanied him. Din tensed. A bodyguard?
Skywalker was all smiles as he walked towards them. “Hello!” he called. “Did you find it all right?”
“Yes,” said Din.
“Then welcome,” said Skywalker, still beaming. “Both of you, welcome. We’re glad you’re here.” He gestured to the woman. “This is my wife, Mara.”
Mara smiled, but she was definitely getting the measure of him in case he tried anything, and Din didn’t need to know her past to know she was someone who would be a difficult opponent.
They were interrupted by a lot of shouting, and suddenly a gaggle of teens was pointing and running up to them. “They’re here! They’re here!” they shouted, and Din found himself and the kid surrounded by a quartet of humans and a Wookiee.
“Hi, hi,” said the kid, giggling, and the five eagerly greeted him. Three of the humans appeared to be siblings, sharing similar features and brown hair; the other was a redhead with one arm cut off above the elbow.
“Some of my students,” said Luke, gesturing to each of them in turn. “Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin are my sister’s children. This is Tenel Ka, and this is Lowbacca.”
“Hello,” said the kid, demanding attention again and waving at the visitors.
“We can show him around, Uncle Luke,” said Jacen eagerly. “Can we?”
“Bwee, I go,” pleaded the kid, but Din wasn’t convinced. Not in new territory with people he didn’t know like this. He didn’t want the kid to get worried over a separation. “He stays with me.”
“They’ve just arrived. Give them some space,” said Mara. “Go continue your drills. I’ll be testing you personally later.”
The students chorused agreement and ran off. Mara watched them go. “I’ll keep an eye on the students, keep them out of your hair.” She leaned over and kissed Skywalker on the cheek. “Don’t be too long, farmboy.” She gave Din another measuring look that he didn’t respond to. He knew a warning when he saw one.
“Mara is very protective of the students here,” said Skywalker. “This place is very quiet, though. We have good communications of course, and defenses, but we’re out of the way and isolated enough it’s a good place for young Force-users to train.” He looked at the child. “What sort of things do you do, little one?”
The big ears drooped. “I bweak it.”
Skywalker’s brow furrowed. “You… broke something?”
“Bwee say no bweak.” The kid squirmed in Din’s arms. “I bweaked it.”
“We were in a firefight. He tried to knock the other ship out of the sky. He almost breached the hull of my ship.” Din didn’t like to linger on the memory. Life as a Mandalorian was full of dangers, but nearly being sucked out into the vacuum of space because his own kid decided to use sorcery on a TIE fighter had been the moment he finally had to stop denying that the kid needed a teacher, a real teacher. “He needs to learn to control it. That magic he does, he doesn’t know how to really use it. It’s just guesswork. And I…” Din swallowed, but forced the words out. “I can’t teach it to him.”
Skywalker smiled. “He sounds very strong in the Force.” He must have sensed Din’s confusion the same way the kid could always pick up on what he was feeling, because he added, “The magic, as you called it. It’s called the Force.” He shrugged apologetically. “I tried to look up the word in Mando’a, but I don’t think there is one.”
“I looked up the Jetii too,” said Din. “I read plenty about you.” His arms tightened around his child. “I came to see what you’re about and what you can do. But this is my son. I’m not giving him up, I’m not going to let you take him, and if you try -”
Skywalker held up a hand. “I understand,” he said seriously. “I am not going to take your child from you.” He sighed, folding his hands in front of him, and looked out into the jungle. “You’re not the first I’ve talked to about this,” he said quietly. “When the Emperor destroyed the Jedi, he did so from every angle. There had always been rumors of taken children, but with Imperial propaganda, they transformed almost into common knowledge. I can’t be sure that it never happened, but from what records I recovered, the Jedi only took children whose parents were willing.” He looked back at Din, his gaze steady. “I do not take children at this school without their parents’ consent, and theirs.”
The silence between them only lasted until the kid said, “Bwee, I down.”
Skywalker gave a rueful smile as he watched the squirming child. “Truthfully, I’m not sure how much I can help you, Mandalorian,” he said. “I’ve never had a student this young.”
“He can do so much already,” said Din. “He needs to know how to control it, so he doesn’t hurt himself, or anyone else.”
Skywalker nodded. “Learning to listen to the Force is always the start. From there, control will come. First not using it unwillingly, and then being able to let it flow through you.”
Din blinked, but admitted, “That makes no sense to me. But maybe you can explain it to him.”
“That’s the purpose of this Praxeum. To learn about the Force.” Skywalker reached out for the child, playing with the tiny fingers that grasped at his hand. “Like I said, I’ve never taught someone this young. But I’m certain we could work on some sort of arrangement. You’re welcome to stay here with him while he has lessons, or bring him here periodically, or let him stay for some time while you continue with your, uh, line of work.” Skywalker patted the child’s head. “Whatever you feel would be best for him.”
“I’m… not sure yet,” said Din.
“That’s understandable,” said Skywalker. He gestured to the large stone pyramid ahead. “Can I show you around?”
“Bwee, I go,” said the kid, kicking and trying to get out of Din’s arms again.
“Sure, let’s go,” said Din, and he set the kid down and followed Skywalker onto the Praxeum grounds.

Long and kinda rambly headcanon for Padbae under the cut.
After defecting to join the rebellion, Padme played a major role in keeping the them away from Vader at all costs. She would even let herself pop up on certain planets in the hopes that the Sith Lord would take the bait so that rebel operations could proceed with out his interference. She did this rarely, as it was incredibly dangerous for her to do. For the rest of the time, Padme insisted that only a fully trained Jedi could defeat Vader. In truth, of course, she was referring to her children.
When the mission to Scarif to retrieve the data on the Death Star plans was put forward by Jyn Erso, Padme threw all of her support behind it. There was a chance Vader could become involved, and while the alliance argued that the didn’t have the resources to go after it, Padme insisted on it. Even as it lost a significant amount of support, Padme helped get the mission team, Rogue One, off to Scarif. She would have gone herself, but being there would have put the mission on Vader’s radar sooner. Also Bail talked her out of it.
When Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star, the former Naboo Senator was absolutely devastated, as one of her closest friends, and adoptive father to her youngest child, had just perished. She couldn’t allow herself to grieve, however, as she had no news on Leia’s whereabouts and had worried herself so sick she was eventually put in the medbay on Yavin IV. When Leia arrived on Yavin IV safely, Padme ran out of the medbay to see her. In her rush, she nearly ran straight into Luke.
As the battle of Yavin ensued with her son flying up there, Padme was sure Vader was up there, especially when she heard the groups breaking off to make the run in the trench being picked apart so easily. There was no going back, as the Death Star had to be destroyed. Still she almost hoped that Vader could sense her on Yavin and break off his attack. In the end, all turned out well, Luke destroyed the space station in the nick of time and survived his stint with Vader. As the celebration went on, Padme watched from the sidelines as her daughter handed out medals to her son and the man who’d saved him, Han Solo.
Shortly after this, Padme went back to insisting the Rebel Alliance steer clear of Vader. There were many fights between her and Leia about it during meetings between the leaders. Most leaders sided with Padme, as she seemed to know a lot about Vader. Her insistence that only a fully trained Jedi could defeat Vader caught Luke’s attention.
Luke found himself short on people to talk to about his trouble in learning about the Force, and Padme regularly opened herself up as a chance for him to talk about these things when she could. She told him what she knew of the Jedi, and even went as far as to say she knew his father. She never fully told him the truth about what happened to him, especially after learning what Obi-Wan told him, or about the fact that she was his mother. However, during their talks, the two of them became exceedingly close. (Trying to leave this relatively vague for any plotting/threads)
Padme was not on Hoth when the Empire found them, as it turned out Vader had a new target. His son. It wasn’t until after Bespin that Padme learned anything about what happened. It was then she revealed to Luke her part in Anakin’s past, and told him everything. The Jedi’s forbidding of attachment, her and Anakin’s secret marriage, the clone wars, and the dreams he’d had of his mother and herself, and how he’d given into his fear in his effort to protect and save her from the death Anakin had seen in his dreams. She laid it all bare for him. She did insist there was some good in him still, and Luke eventually agreed with her. She did keep the secret about Leia being his sister, however, feeling as though if he didn’t know, the less likely he’d accidentally tell Vader.
During the events of RotJ, Padme told Luke that if he did confront Vader, to tell him that she was still waiting for him to come back to her, to come back to both of them. In the end, she stayed out of it participating in the battle above Yavin to help destroy the death star. When Luke later told her about what happened, about Vader turning and destroying the Emperor, and how he had died doing so. Padme broke down and wailed both in joy and agony over Anakin’s turn and death. Even with Luke there trying desperately to console her, it wasn’t enough and he eventually had to take her to a medbay. She had so hoped that Anakin would come back to her alive. She thought Anakin had visited her in her dreams, apologizing for hurting her and giving her words of encouragement to go on and continue the fight against the Empire.
Padme eventually recovered and went on to continue the fight before retiring some five years later, returning to her home on Naboo. It was there that she would spend the rest of her days her children and grandchildren coming to visit her.

Star Wars Episode IX Wishlist
What I hope to see in Episode IX
Episode IX will be called A New Order, The Spark Of Hope, or The Last Hope
Leia’s signal brought her allies to The Resistance. Lando will be a Resistance general. Wedge Antilles will bring Red Squadron back to The Resistance. Zay Versio and Shriv from Battlefront II will return as it was Zay who helped Leia’s allies bring help for The Resistance. Kazuda Xiono and his crew will appear. Hera, Sabine, Ahsoka and Ezra will return. Hera will be there as a pilot and a general, but Hera has a reason other than answering Leia’s call to be there. Hera’s son is a Knight Of Ren and wants to bring him back home. Sabine will bring The Mandalorians to the Resistance aid and Ahsoka and Ezra will guide Rey.
Rey trains Finn and Poe as Jedi. Rose Tico and Caro(Naomi Ackie’s character) will be revealed as force sensitive and Rey will train them. Until JJ says otherwise, Finn is force sensitive. There is a lot of build up in TFA. “there was an awakening” immediately after Finn’s Stormtrooper comrade dies and leaves his bloody hand print on Finn, Kylo looks at him as if he felt something. Kylo does not care for the Stormtroopers and view them as disposable and would rather Snoke have clone troopers and does not view indoctrinating children to soldiers as effective. The “there has been an awakening” was not foreshadowing Rey. That happens 15 minutes later. “Kylo Ren heads back toward his ship. But then he STOPS. Feels something. TURNS AND LOOKS AT OUR STORMTROOPER for a LONG MOMENT. Our trooper can barely meet his gaze; knows he’s doomed.” The SCRIPT itself tells us that Kylo stops and turns to look directly at Finn because Kylo FEELS SOMETHING! Rey awakens on Starkiller during the interrogation. Finn awakens on Jakku. When Snoke says there’s been an awakening and asks Kylo if he’s felt it, Kylo’s “yes” is quite literally him referencing the moment in the movie & script above when he literally feels the force in Finn and turns to acknowledge him. Now since John confirmed Finn will do more than in TLJ and he will do a big fight in IX, I am confident that Finn will become a Jedi. As for Poe? Poe Dameron’s mother, Shara Bey was a member of the rebellion and a great pilot. After the Battle of Endor when Luke Skywalker recovered the Force Trees from the empire Luke gave one of the trees to Shara, which she planted in the backyard of her home on Yavin IV. Why would they introduce Poe’s parents and have Luke himself give Shara a force tree? So I believe in episode IX, Rey will train both Finn and Poe to become Jedi. As for Rose and Caro. Rose deserves a better storyline, Loan Tran deserves better. And Naomie Ackie deserves a good role as I am sick and tired of every WOC in Star Wars to be fridged.
Rey will have a new lightsaber. It will be a double bladed lightsaber on her staff. So a saberstaff. And I hope Rey will have a Yellow or Purple Crystal for her lightsaber.
Finn’s defection from The First Order and Finn revealing that Phasma let the Starkiller Base shields down inspires all his old Stormtrooper friends to leave The First Order and join The Resistance.
Naomie Ackie’s character will be the daughter of Lando. Caro Calrissian.
Rose is said to have a bigger part and I really want that. I know a lot of the fandom does not like Rose, blame bad writing, not the character and KMT. What I can see Rose doing is she recovers and she becomes a big help to the Resistance. You could have Rose help building or fixing ships for The Resistance or come up with unique ways for fighting The First Order. Rose would have great respect for Rey and understand why Finn loves her. Rose would have a big influence on Finn’s actions near the end(keep reading) and of course Rose will become a Jedi along with Finn, Poe and Caro.
The Resistance will have to go to The Criminal Underworld for help. Since Jabba was killed. Someone must have took over the criminal underworld right? Well I have the best possible way to feature the criminal underworld. Qi’Ra. You could explain in novels or in graphic novels that Qi’Ra eventually betrays Darth Maul and left him to die on Malachor and she took her place as leader of The Crimson Dawn. After Jabba was killed, Qi'Ra eventually killed her way to the top of the criminal underworld. Qi'Ra will be back as The Resistance may need her help. Qi’Ra would help because she would want to stop The First Order and she would do it for Han since it was his own son who killed him. Despite her betrayal she still cared for Han in the end.
The force ghosts of Luke, Yoda and Obi-Wan will guide Rey, Poe and Finn.
Rey’s vision will come true. Rey will fight Kylo Ren and The Knights Of Ren, but it will happen on Mustafar.
Luke will reveal to Rey that he is her father and Mara Jade was her mother. Luke thought Rey was dead at the academy. When Ben killed Mara and thought he lost her, he shut himself out. When she found him on Ach-To, he wanted to push her away from their family so he would not lose her again. He wanted her to have a different life. But now he is so proud of her and that he is sorry for pushing her away. Rey embraces her father. He will also tell her that her name is not Rey. Her name was “Kira Skywalker” And now Rey is conflicted. She doesn’t know if she can go through with killing Kylo Ren now knowing that he is her cousin. Just like Luke did with Vader. Everything about Rey’s journey pointed to her being Luke’s daughter. Rey must be a Skywalker for anything to make sense.
Rey will have an Aang moment. She will seek the guidance from Luke, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda.
Thankfully they are not CGing or recasting Leia, they are using unused scenes for Leia. So my hope is SOMEHOW we are able to get a scene of Leia using Battle Meditation in the war against The First order. Trying to reach out to her son, but it will fail as Kylo Ren is too far gone. He has completely submerged himself in darkness and has pledged himself to destroying everything his family has built. He has promised to Leia that when The Resistance is in ruins, when my uncle(Lando) is dead, when “my replacement”(referring to Poe) is dead, the traitor is dead, when my cousin(Caro) and when the last jedi lies dead, then I will finally kill you, mother. Then Leia knows that her son is truly gone.
Kylo Ren, Hux and Phasma will work together. Where Rey, Finn and Poe will be a heroic trio. Kylo, Hux and Phasma will be a trio of villains. Kylo Ren does what Snoke refused to. Make Hux Grand Marshall of The First Order. Phasma would be promoted to Admiral as he would feel that Phasma is destined for more than the rank of Captain. They all share the same goals. The destruction of the Resistance, the death of The Jedi and the complete and utter domination Of The First Order.
Phasma’s goal is to kill Finn. Phasma is basically Captain Ahab and Finn is her great white whale to chase. She is hunting Finn to the ends of the earth. Each battle they face she is there ready for him, every time he isn’t there, she kills every Resistance soldier there. Her instability and her focus on Finn is worrying Hux, but Kylo sees it as the best possible way to end The Resistance. Every time a Stormtrooper shys away from doing their duty, Phasma personally executes them. This is what makes Stormtroopers, especially Finn’s old friends to leave for The Resistance.
Hux has abandoned any resentment towards Ren as he has been given everything he’s wanted. The title of Grand Marshall and the means to destroy the Resistance. The Knights Of Ren. The Supreme Leader, Phasma and superior firepower and more and more each day more systems bow before The First Order. Even he must admit he no longer needs Starkiller Base. The entire armada of The First Order will meet The Resistance’s last stand. It will be against Hux’s might and General Organa’s Battle Meditation.
Kylo Ren will have a flagship of his own. The Hegemony. It will be influence from the beautiful fan concept artwork of Romain d'Escrienne. It is massive. Eclipses the Supremacy. It's not only a Star Destroyer with a mini Death Star, but it’s also large enough to launch Star Destroyers from it’s sidebays. The Hegemony will be the ultimate tool to spread the might of The First Order and the final destruction of The Resistance.
The Knights Of Ren will play a big role in the movie. My big hope is we actually learn about The Knights Of Ren. Unlike The Praetorian Guards who were faceless Guards who all just die, we know that the Knights are important and actually characters. We learn they were Jedi who left with Kylo Ren and helped him destroy the new Jedi Order. And they are Kylo’s new family. The Knights serve The First Order, but they are completely loyal to Kylo. We only know of one of the Knights Of Ren. Jacen Syndulla is one of the Knights Of Ren. Together with Kylo Ren, The Knights Of Ren will destroy The Resistance and finally destroy The Jedi.
Kylo Ren will go to Vader’s castle on Mustafar to complete his training. He is hoping to harness the true power of the dark side and take in what’s left of Darth Vader in that castle. That is when he finally sees his grandfather.
The force ghost of Anakin will finally reach out to Kylo Ren. Snoke was preventing Anakin from seeing his grandson to bring him back and stop his grandson from repeating his mistakes. Ben Solo felt betrayed and lost it when he found out his grandfather was Darth Vader. He never found out that Anakin returned to the light and saved his son. Snoke lied about the truth and gaslighted Kylo into believing only Vader mattered and made him believe that compassion made him weak. Ben never learned the truth about Anakin. As for Anakin. Anakin was always the light that was calling to Ben, but because of Snoke, Anakin watched in vain as his grandson was becoming his mistakes. Anakin could hear everything that’s going on, he was a watching Kylo always but he can never be sensed or seen. Anakin hears Kylo ask “Show me again grandfather” and Anakin is so desperate to do something to turn him away from this dark path but he can’t do anything but watch in sadness and horror. So when he is finally able to manifest to his grandson. Anakin will tell him “I never wanted you to repeat my mistakes. That pull to the light you were feeling was always me. I wanted you to be better than I was, who I could have been” and showing Ben his memories and what he had to go through. His life as a slave, meeting Padme, meeting Obi-Wan, becoming a Jedi, losing his mother, Order 66, losing Padme and being saved by Luke. And telling Ben “Let the light in. You still have a chance, no one is ever really gone“ And Kylo Ren would refuse to believe this. Kylo will retort that “the light made our family weak, your compassion made you weak, I will finish what you started and were too weak to finish.” and Anakin watches in horror as his grandson continues his mistakes...and realizes he has become worse than he ever was as Darth Vader. His words fell on deaf ears and he could not save his grandson.
Finn will face Phasma for the last time(if she appears in the next trilogy I am chewing a live grenade) All of Finn’s old friends will beat back her forces. Finn will make a speech about we are not afraid of you or The First Order anymore and Finn has Phasma at his mercy. All the Stormtroopers who left the First Order because of Finn are telling him he has to kill her while Rose is telling him killing her will not be right. Finn makes the decision to spare. Phasma. Finn tells his old friends that’s how we’re going to win this war not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love. Inspired by Rose, Finn let’s go of his past and takes Phasma in alive so she can answer for her crimes.
Poe Dameron is given the respect he deserves. Poe in TFA is a humble, yet confident man that saw that a person wasn’t defined by the uniform they wear, but of the moral conviction and actions of a person. He is the most levelheaded, compassionate and trusted soldier in the entire Resistance. What we got in TLJ was not the same character. The Poe Dameron in TFA, the comics, Resistance and the Before The Awakening Novel would never be okay with sacrificing ANYONE, let alone the entire fleet just to destroy ONE ship that can be easily replaced. He was so compassionate and good that he sided with someone on enemy lines and became his friend and knew that Finn was a good man, even though Poe shot his squad mate before during the fight on Jakku. Everything about Poe’s portrayal in TLJ is so unnecessary. Poe Dameron went from a caring and experienced rebel pilot to an arrogant, hotheaded latino stereotype in the span of like…a day. That’s not subversive writing, that’s racist and bad writing. It was a complete disservice to the character, an absolute insult to Oscar Isaac. So what must be done is showing Poe and Lando leading the Resistance and Poe leading the final assault on The First Order.
There will be a final battle, a battle that will make the conflict between The Resistance and First Order feel real. Rey vs Kylo Ren and The Knights Of Ren, Finn vs Captain Phasma and Poe leading the final assault on The First Order.
Before Rey leaves for Mustafar, her friends will join her. They cannot let Rey face Kylo and the Knights alone. So this new Jedi order is formed. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, Caro and Jacen. Together they face Kylo Ren and The Knights Of Ren.
In a final force bond session, Ren will taunt Rey. telling her she is nothing and to join him and together they can rule the galaxy. Rey will then tell him “I was never nothing. I am Kira Skywalker, I am a Jedi like my father and grandfather before me” and Ren is like “oh shit” but prepares for her on Mustafar.
The duel between the new Jedi and the Knights Of Ren will be intense and emotional, it will even rival Anakin and Obi-Wan. It will end with the Knights being defeated but only Rey and Kylo will be left fighting.
Rey and Kylo are evenly matched. But it will end. Rey is giving him one final chance. “Ben, Surrender. Your fleet is in ruins, Hux and Phasma have been captured and defeated, you have lost Supreme Leader” Kylo Ren will scream at her “BEN IS DEAD, I KILLED HIM. I WILL KILL YOU ALL, AND FINALLY GENERAL ORGANA, THIS ISN’T OVER” Ben Solo is truly dead. his eyes are piercing yellow and his lightsaber is pure crimson. Only Supreme Leader Kylo Ren remains.
Kylo Ren's fate. The battle between The Resistance and The First Order is over. The fight between Kira Skywalker and Kylo Ren is finished. Rey will chop his arm off and destroy Ren’s lightsaber. Ren is screaming and begging her to kill him. But once again, Rey refuses to do what Ren tells her to do. Rey will pull a Aang and sever Kylo Ren’s connection to the force. The war is over.
The final episode will end with the war ending, The Resistance and The First Order has signed a peace treaty and together as the Galactic Federation has brought peace to the galaxy. Kylo Ren, Hux and Phasma will spend the rest of their lives imprisoned for war crimes against The Galaxy and The Republic. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose and Caro have formed a New Order and brought balance to The Force. Luke, Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan look proudly upon Rey and this New Order.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker D23 Footage: 10 Fan Theories For What Might Happen Next
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s second teaser just dropped, sending fans into meltdown as to what awaits our heroes when the blockbuster releases in December. The footage showed older Star Wars stuff but also displayed snippets of new clips that hadn’t previously been seen by anybody else - except those fortunate enough to be at D23.
RELATED: Rise of Skywalker: 10 Theories About Rey's Parents
Inevitably, much footage has got fans theorizing now more than ever. So we now take a look at 10 theories that have emerged in the wake of Disney’s decision to show off its latest movie.
10 The Gang Will Be Searching For Something
When we last saw the Resistance at the end of 2017’s The Last Jedi, things weren’t looking great. They had lost the majority of their troops thanks to the First Order, who spent the entirety of the film chasing them. Even on Crait they sustained heavy losses and many were wondering how they were going to recover when they had already lost so much.
But it appears they might be looking for something to help them achieve their mission. One of the first scenes of the D23 footage shows Rey, Finn, Chewbacca, C3PO, and Poe Dameron on a desert planet which may or may not be Pasaana. They look as if they’re there for a key reason, particularly with all of them looking so serious.
9 The Resistance Will Rebuild
Well, it looks like they just might. As mentioned above, the Resistance were down to their last few fighters at the end of The Last Jedi, with what seemed to be the entirety of the group cooped up in the Millennium Falcon at the blockbuster’s conclusion.
But there’s a clip in the D23 trailer that shows the Resistance have the resources to at least worry the enemy, if not enough to beat them. They have X-wings aplenty, while A New Hope and Rogue One’s Tantive IV can also be spotted in the sky. With the Falcon at the forefront of the action, seemingly about to lead them into battle, it looks like the Resistance will indeed rebuild.
8 Leia Will Take A Back Seat In The Fight
During the original trilogy, Leia Organa was always in the thick of the action. She had no issue slaying stormtroopers on the Death Star during A New Hope, welcomed a fight against the Empire in The Empire Strikes Back and murdered both Jabba the Hutt and soldiers aplenty during Return of the Jedi.

So far, when it comes to the sequels, Leia has been away from the action. And it seems like this may remain the case. The D23 footage shows her on the same jungle planet where Rey is training, suggesting the Resistance are hiding safely while their best players carry on the fight against the First Order in secret. Due to Carrie Fisher’s tragic passing, Disney have just a small amount of footage they can use.
7 The Sith Will Take Over The First Order
We know Palpatine is back for The Rise of Skywalker, despite seemingly plummeting to his death during 1983’s Return of the Jedi. And the Sith are primed to return, too, with Sith Troopers and Imperial Star Destroyers primed to play a key role in the movie. Given that’s the case, it’s been suggested that Palpatine and his forces may even end up taking over the First Order.
Even if the Sith Lord played a key role in their creation (the First Order was born out of the ashes of the old Empire) we can’t see him wanting to hog authority with Kylo Ren. Therefore, it’s perfectly feasible that the two evil organizations may become one - which may even prompt Ben Solo into switching allegiances.
6 Kylo Ren May Turn
It would be wrong to outright predict Kylo Ren switching allegiances based on the fact he’s barely in the D23 footage for the movie. However, with the Sith returning and appearing to take center stage, that certainly supports the theory. As does his behavior during the one scene of the teaser that he features in.

Kylo Ren ignites his lightsaber and walks towards what many assume to be Rey - but the setting doesn’t back that up. Sure, he engages the hero of the franchise in battle, but that’s not to say he’ll stay dark. He’s lost once to Rey before and, even then, appeared ready to say something before the land of Starkiller Base split in two. Kylo’s aura suggests his path is finally clear, that he’s a man comfortable in his own skin, which may pave the way for a change of sides.
5 C3PO’s Memory Will Play A Role
There have been plenty of rumors that C3PO’s memory will play a key role. Fans of the saga will remember that the protocol droid had his mind wiped after Revenge of the Sith in order to stop him blabbing about what he knows.
But there’s chatter on the internet that C3PO’s memory will play a key role and the sight of him with bright red eyes in the D23 footage certainly backs that up. What role will it play? We don’t have a clue. It’s definitely random. But it’s definitely something we can’t wait to find out about.
4 The Resistance Will Experience Heavy Losses
So far, the Resistance has had it tough. They did well to blow up Starkiller Base but, even so, they experienced heavy losses. It was a similar story in The Last Jedi with the base planet of D’Qar destroyed, fighters dropping like flies during the opening sequence of the movie and more soldiers losing their lives during the confrontation on Crait.
And it looks as if they’re in for a similarly tough time later this year. The sight of hundreds of Imperial Star Destroyers is a formidable one and makes you wonder how the good guys will respond. There’s also a brief glimpse of what seems to be Starkiller Base technology destroying the surface of a planet. The heroes don’t have that sort of power - meaning it’s likely the bad guys do instead.
3 Rey’s Power Will Reach New Heights
Rey has been extremely powerful up to this point - so much so that a section of the fan base have expressed their anger at Daisy Ridley’s character seemingly possessing more ability than previous protagonists Anakin and Luke Skywalker. And it looks as if she’s going to be even stronger in the next movie.

In the D23 footage we see her throwing her lightsaber before it returns to her - not too dissimilar to Thor in the MCU. These new powers could even help her and the Resistance reign supreme and finally restore peace to the galaxy.
2 Rey May Fight A Clone
Obviously, the money shot of the D23 footage is Rey, in dark side attire, wielding a double-bladed lightsaber. Like, wow. Who saw that coming? She’s a Disney Princess in all but name and many are now predicting a dramatic transformation. Other, more skeptical, fans believe it could merely be a vision.
But there’s another theory out there: what if it’s a clone of Rey? One of the many theories relating to her origins is that she was created using Luke Skywalker’s severed hand from The Empire Strikes Back. It could be that there’s more than one version of Daisy Ridley’s character out there - even an evil version. Will Rey have to fight herself? It can’t be ruled out at this moment.
1 It’s Going To Be The Biggest Sequel Movie Yet
If you look at the teaser trailer, then take a glance at the D23 footage, what’s startling is that this looks set to be the biggest Star Wars sequel trilogy movie yet.
There seems to be major action sequences, a welcome variation of interesting planets and characters more developed than ever before. There was nothing wrong with either The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi but Star Wars looks to be upping the stakes for the final movie of the Skywalker saga. This could lead to it being one of the biggest box office releases of the entire year and we can’t wait to see it.
