aoko constantly refers to touko with a respectful "aneki", she rejects the notion that touko is acting on pure hatred instead of rational self-interest as a mage because it would be disrespectful to touko as a mage to think of her as a human being moved by visceral emotion. as blasé as aoko tries to be about how this is just how mage families work and touko was always awful and stealing all her stuff when they were younger anyway, aoko also clearly looks up to her sister a lot, and with her established crippling sense of responsibility and fairness plus her own lack of understanding of why she was suddenly named the family heir, the impression it leaves is that she's putting in all this effort to be a good mage to prove to touko that there was a good reason for aoko being named heir instead, to undo that immense insult to her older sister by turning it into a sensible choice for mages to make that an ambitious and talented mage would be able to accept. but soujuurou as complete outsider to this stupid emotionally repressed little world immediately pings that it isn't about all that magecraft stuff at all, touko feels insulted not as a mage but as an eldest sister. so any attempt from aoko to repair or respect her relationship with touko as a mage is going to fail.

Dishonored is such a good game and no one ever talks about it (anymore?) but I still think about it every time I play another video game

the story isn't particularly deep but it's written well, the silent protagonist is strangely endearing, the world is surprisingly full and striking, and most of all it's so much fun! genuinely my favourite gameplay ever. a stealth game that hardly ever lets you fail. whichever way you choose to get to your objective, it can work, and if it doesn't you can always quickly find another way. I hate replaying video games but I play Dishonored at least once a year (and I'd play it more often if it was on the switch) and I'm never ever bored. and I always let the final cutscene play to the end because yeah, I sure did earn that sweet sweet bittersweet epilogue!

so yes my comfort video game is a game about doing horrible things to people during a plague. and it would be yours too if you played it.

if i had money. oh, if i had money. i would buy a ps4 just to play bloodborne. get it twisted. it is the perfect game for me. appeals to me in every single way, based on what i know about it. and i have trained hard just to play it. i was not ready before but i am now. i have hundreds of hours in elden ring. i am, dare i say, actually good at elden ring. i beat mohg first attempt in 2 minutes. i beat bayle second try. i wiped the floor with messmer. i sucked midra off. get it twisted. i have been obsessed with gothic architecture since i was a teenager, and the game is full of it. there are characters in that game i would develop an erotic fixation on. get it twisted. elden ring is already in my top three games ever played. if i played bloodborne it could easily be #1, and i know this in my heart. if i had bloodborne in my hands you would not see me for weeks, because i would be too busy playing bloodborne. i would be in the dark, fighting monsters, sweating and scared and also horny. i want to know what is wrong with that little freak with a cage on his head. GET IT TWISTED. if i had a ps4, with a copy of bloodborne, it would be over for everyone on this planet. because i'd be playing bloodborne

does anybody know if any good video games have been invented. for the switch. i like story-based or puzzle games or things that are weird. not big on games with lots of fighting or turn-based but may be persuaded. i do like games where i can explore and talk to people. NO shooters.
