Okay but actually, why did Transformers Animated have so few female characters?

I said it before, but outside of Sari, the only prominent female characters are Blackarachnia, who's not really connected to the Decepticon cause and is doing her own thing, meaning she doesn't show up that often, and then Arcee, who was in a flashback episode in Season 1, but most of her screentime outside of that comes from the last couple episodes of Season 3. So even with them, it's not that much

Oh, and I guess Slipstream, but I really don't remember her being super prominent outside of a few moments. She's kind of on the same level as Arcee in that regard as a side character, though a bit lesser

Like, G1 has the excuse of it being the 80s and the executives not wanting female characters in their action show for boys; I'm given to understand the writers had to fight for Arcee to even be a thing. And then Beast Wars and Prime have excuses of having generally small casts, Prime due to its high budget and Beast Wars I don't know (though given it was one of the earliest CGI shows, budget could very well have been an issue there too I guess). Not to mention in universe, the Maximals were stranded on an alien planet, and in Prime it feels like most characters are dead or scattered anyways. But even then, they had at least a couple female characters, at least on the main roster. The Unicron trilogy, I'm not sure since I haven't seen it, but I'm pretty sure it did have a number of female characters as well

As far as I can tell, Animated didn't really have an excuse for there not to be more women? Like okay it's one thing if they're not in the initial main cast, especially since at that point the team was pretty much stranded. But we didn't get any later season additions to the cast either, outside of I suppose the Elite Guard as recurring side characters. And none of them were women either! And like, by Season 2 we had access to pretty much any character from or in contact with Cybertron, as well as any characters brought to life by Allspark fragments

I suppose it really isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it's just that now I'm noticing it and it's weird. Why weren't there more female characters in this show? I can't see any reason why there couldn't have been, especially since early concepts had at least one female character on the main team in Red Alert

While I won’t deny that misogyny definitely plays a role in it, I also feel like one of the reasons people tend to want to focus more on Blitzwing than on Blackarachnia in fanworks is the same reason people are so obsessed with the secret bosses in Deltarune: the overall mystery surrounding his character.

Blitzwing and Blackarachnia are both unique, one-of-a-kind models, so people are naturally going to have three questions running through their minds upon their debut: what happened to them, what led up to that point, and who they used to be beforehand.

However, despite Blitzwing making more appearances than her, there’s still so little we know about him in comparison with Blackarachnia, who basically has her entire backstory revealed to us in her first spotlight episode. Even the information we do get regarding his past raises more questions than it answers, and that information’s Schrödinger’s canon at best. Fans are naturally drawn towards mysteries, so of course they’re going to be more interested in making content exploring and trying to solve those mysteries rather than just restricting themselves to stuff they already know.

I feel like the writing team showed their cards too early with Blackarachnia and left people with much less of a mystery to play around with other than “is techno-organicness reversible” and “will she cure herself or accept herself for who she is”. I think that maybe if they had had her make more appearances and held off on revealing her backstory until much later, while maybe dropping subtle hints of her knowing Optimus and Sentinel from somewhere and having once been an Autobot, people would feel like they had much more to work with.

(Also, from what I’ve seen, most Blitzwing fans are well aware of the ableist portrayal of his character but are usually neurodivergent themselves and thus have reclaimed him in a sense, alongside portraying him in a much more accurate manner to real-life DID and OSDD in fan works while still acknowledging that he’s an alien robot whose processor is much different from a human brain and thus would logically not be a complete one-to-one regarding analogous disabilities and mental disorders.)

So, I have been admittedly sitting on this ask for while bc it's been hard to digest and fully think about the points being made here. I don't want to get defensive on an impulse so I wanted to kinda stew on it a bit and read it over and over to see how my thoughts change. But really my thoughts are the same as when I first saw it which is most of this? Really just reads as excuses for Blitzwing's popularity that distract from the real causes being sexism and fandom's bias towards conventally attractive characters.

I want to go through this point by point but the TDLR; almost everything said here is also true for other characters who are very much not as popular as Blitzwing usually bc of sexism or not being the kind of characters the fandom cares to pay attention to. Sure you could point out all the things Blitzwing has that BA doesnt and say 'those are the things that make him more popular' but that ignores all the things BA has that Blitzwing doesn't. [Motivation, a personality, complexities, story relevence, she's not a horrible potrayal of the mentally ill, narrative focus etc] That the fandom just pretends don't exist and barely awknowledge, you can't just shy away from the reality that Blitzwing massively benefits from the misogyny present in this fandom because he's ur fave and you like him. That's only being complicit in it and turning a blind eye to it. Sure you could project a lot onto a bland male character and say you like him but you should also keep in mind the female characters who are ACTUALLY complex and interesting characters you tossed to the side to focus on him. I get that you 'awknoledged' the misogny in the first bit of the ask, but when you follow that up with... That it really doesnt come accross as genuine.

Anyways I'm gonna disect this message and talk about why I simply do not buy it.

Firstly

I'm going to be blunt, this is something SO many characters in TFA have going on. Lugnut is a great example of a character who has way more screentime than Blitzwing [remember Blitzwing disappears by S3 and is replaced by Shockwave as an evil minion but Lugnut stays] but is still almost entirely a mystery in terms of backstory motivation etc. But Lugnut is almost NEVER the center of fan content unless being made to be the butt of the joke and when he does appear hes usually just used as a tool to progress Blitzwing's character, someone to pressure him abt being in the cons, someone to be mean to him, etc.

But Lugnut is an entirely unique design with a helm look no other character has and claws that resemble the ones given to empurata bots in IDW. We don't even know why he hates the autobots so intensely but seeing how fucked up the autobots are in TFA why isn't there more theorizing about what exactly they did to make him need to see their downfall so badly? To the point where Lugnut is constantly at the feet praising someone who he doesn't even know would throw him to the side and leave him for dead the INSTANT it was convient for him.

You could say people don't explore it bc its played as a joke but so is everything about Blitzwing's character, esp his DID which is in increadibly poor taste. No, it's because Lugnut is fat and 'ugly', the fandom has no interest in him, same way they have so little interest in Bulkhead compared to other characters. He's just not hot enough to become the little sexyboy of the fandom. So he's tossed the side same way Bulkhead is. Not to mention characters like Arcee also have a ton of mystery surrounding them but they're women so...

Gonna be honest these paragraphs really piss me off LMAO, BA's mystery goes so much deeper than the two questions provided here such as the fact when trying to cure herself it's almost always potrayed as painful and life THREATENING! The mystery and tension of her character isn't' will she cure herself and can she?' its whether or not she will KILL HERSELF trying to cure her disability. Will she leave the cons? Will she grow to become a better person or keep spiralling down into evil? Fans are drawn to mystery sure but only when that mystery involves a sexy man, when it involved a woman character whose biggest mystery is whether or not her self loathing will kill her, its uninteresting and not worth their time, if they even bother to awknowledge it instead of just making her a scary villain/abuser for their male faves to be sad.

I also have to ask on this point too, fans tend to HEAVILY ignore any canon Blitzwing has either way, nobody awknowledges the bigotry towards organics/techno organics he displays, nor the levels of cruelty so why does canon even really matter in this discussion when as far as fanon is concerned it doesnt? It's excuses. It only matters now bc now people wanna justify the reason BA is a mean evil woman and Blitzwing is a sad puppy boy with so many complexities in fanon without facing the actual reason that is.

And while we're talking about things Blitzwing has that BA doesn't let's talk about all the things BA has that Blitzwing doesn't.

She's not a horrible potrayal of DID

She has complexities to her character beyond being an evil minon for the sake of being evil whose also 'the Crazy one'

She has narrative importance

She got told she should fucking die by one of her friends bc he hated her scarring so much.

She is shown to at least somewhat care for others when she spares Prowl and Bee despite not having gotten her part of the deal.

She has likely faced that sort of bigotry all the time and had to flee her home bc of it.

She has so much mystery behind how she joined the cons, why she joined the cons when they seem to show the same disgust to her as the autobots.

She's an interesting character.

I could go on but I'm not going to. F- on this point.

Now the last point which to me is the most BS

this is just not fucking true, 99% of content of Blitzwing I have seen either has people declaring him good rep [I have seen this several times] or is just talking about how sexy he is, its very very rare the horrible potrayal of his disability is awknowledged. Hell Blitzbee has such a deathgrip on the fandom and one of the nicknames Bee constantly uses in that content is BLITZBRAIN, literally making fun of his disability more. Not to mention how much of it is purposely making the scary disabled character scary on purpose. I'm not saying you cant enjoy or consume that content but you seriously have to be dumb to think the fandom is aware of or cares about this issue.

Also on the 'making him more accurate' I've never seen fanon do this truly and honestly. Where is the childhood truama? The awknowledgement that DID doesn't work the way Blitzwing shows it? I almost never see any fan content that wasn't just copying what TFA potrayed with him. Where are you finding this?

And lastly you can't just say youve 'Reclaimed' something and suddenly its okay, Hasbro knows how much this fandom loves TFA Blitzwing, you guys spend money on him you praise him you dont talk about how bad rep he is. If Hasbro rereleased TFA Blitzwing right now so many fans would flock to get him not even thinking about the fact THAT ENCOURAGES HASBRO TO THINK THAT THIS POTRAYAL OF THE MENTALLY ILL IS OKAY. This is just an excuse to consume content of Blitzwing uncritically to produce content of him uncritically! What about all the times DID swag polls esp ones involving good rep for them INCLUDED BLITZWING?? Did the runners of those who might not even know what TFA is say it was okay to send in a character who is clearly a mean spirited potrayal of them?? You can't just say Blitzwing is reclaimed and therefore its okay, you guys haven't even properly awknowledged all the things wrong with his character being a horrible potrayal of DID enough to get the sense to not fucking submit him into polls abt it. Let alone to produce half decent content of him.

okay hear me out on...yandere Dinobot. I know Beast Wars is not really popular in the fandom, but oh my god, this ugly handsome man

we all saw that maximals/predacons share those animalistic traits that are connected to their beast modes. Rattrap likes to chew on scrap, Cheetor acts like a cat and even meows, Tigatron considers white tigers as some kind of family; Tarantulas and Blackarachnia have that rivalry for obvious reasons (bad for him).

it would be funny if they also had some type of cybertronian heat cycles.

even though Dinobot is heavily influenced by Jurassic Park velociraptors, I still feel like he'd act like a big bird rather than a lizard. or something in between, of course.

Yandere!Dinobot is overprotective and snappy as hell, to the point he considers even other maximals as a potential danger to you. Unlike more rational bots, Dinobot has no shame at all. It would cost him an arm and a leg to admit it to you, but he's actually jealous. Of what? There's no need to find any reason to explain his behavior once the season starts.

Yandere!Dinobot is vocal; he will growl, hiss and snap his teeth at anyone who tries to approach his mate. All maximals know that it's not the time to come near the two of you, but the unrespectful predacons...I'm a sucker for duos, their possibilities, and to imagine the dynamic between Megatron/Dinobot, both trying to court the poor reader.

But once the two of you are alone, I can see him having those rare moments where Dinobot lets himself relax. Most of the time he's in a constant state of alert, the dangerous mix of his primal instincts and  that warrior code of his just tells him to take you somewhere far-far away, so no maximal or predacon will get you. So maybe he can rest just for a little with you next to him. Dinobot definitely makes soft purrs, even to his own surprise.

Yandere!Dinobot is a stalker. Maybe, when it's just the start of the relationship between the two of you, he will try to somehow justify it, at least. Like, “I am just testing your skills, a true warrior must be always alert. You don't know when the predacons attack you next” , but the more you grow closer to him, the more he lets himself be a tiny bit warmer to you “You should not wander off alone. Stick closer to me”.

Read it, and don't forget a little personal nickname he has for you, which he adds at the end of the sentence.

It will also be funny to imagine Dinobot being a little too invested in building a nest. It also gets more awkward if your beast mode is some far different species. Why would he need to collect your stuff from your room? And why is he so adamant about you always staying in his room? He is holding you so tightly that you practically have no chance but to stay. So clueless!

“Just be quiet and start recharging, you irresistible fool!”

Dinobot himself is a little embarrassed too if you start asking too many questions. He doesn't like being all vulnerable, even though he trusts you very much to know that you will never make fun of him. His own mind is clouded with not so innocent thoughts, and it actually becomes a big problem when he tries to focus on his training or fighting.

I don't think Dinobot would try to attract you with those silly dances reptiles/birds do to impress their mates, but when he is in his beast mode, you can definitely notice his tail wagging just a little bit when you're around. Rattrap probably picks on it faster than you and teases Dinobot about it until the two start fighting again.

More Beast Machines concepts!

So, Blackarachnia's Beast Machines design is actually my favorite of all of them. I especially loved her toy from this era, which was definitely a favorite of mine as a kid, along with Cheetor. I just really like spindly characters I guess lol

Anyway, I thought I'd go for something that blended the show's model with the toy design, leaning a little more heavily towards the toy side. Her hands in particular were very interesting, which I've sort of turned into folding bladed weapons that are very much inspired by Varuna/Varnani from the Digital Devil Saga games.

Her story arc will still largely revolve around trying to bring Silverbolt back, but I'm hoping to have her go about it in at least a slightly more intelligent way.

● His yandere side came into fruition after the original base was blown up, he almost died, and when he made his grand return, you cried happy tears because you thought he'd died. Seeing your tear-stained cheeks made him make a promise to himself: To make sure that you were never to be saddened again.

You've always done your best to help those you care about. It wouldn't matter whether they were human, Cybertronian, or whatever.

He fell in love with you because of your compassion and you being there to listen to his problems. You were there when he had flashback of Arachind-7 when Elita-1, no Blackarachnia, showed up. You were there when he felt like he wasn't a good leader. You were always there for him.

He only fell harder when you stood up to him when the Elite Guard showed up. Although he doesn't tolerate tormenting a colleague because they're an asshole, but... seeing Sentinel run, screaming for the hills when you put spiders in the arrogant Prime's habsuite, he couldn't help but hold back a laugh.

He was flattered when you gave him a matching bracelet more like ring considering how small it is to go with your own, a purple charm in the shape of a crystal you found in the woods to match your Amythyst one. You only had one, so you searched for one that you could make the matching jewelry, and when you found it, you believed it to be another Amythyst or a Sugilite.

Over the next few days, he started feeling strange and getting weird thoughts.

Like, one day, he was hanging out with you when someone from high school passed by and the two of you started catching up, making him feel like a third wheel. As it when on, they would catch the passive-aggressive jabs they would verbally make about your figure, and seeing your expression scrunch up with each mention was making him upset. He started thinking to himself about how terrible this person is to you. Luckily, the conversation was cut short do to a Decepticon attack.

When he drove you back to your apartment and went back to base, he started searching up who this person was. Apparently, they're an influencer, very judgmental to people on looks, having flings with rich people, took anything they wanted no matter how many lives they've ruined, and so much more terrible things. He starts thinking, questioning why someone is so terrible when everything was given to them on a silver platter? Why do they make fun of people who have it bad? Why- No one would miss them. ...What? No one would care if they... happen to go missing. But... no one deserves to die- After what they did to your little darling, they should!

The voice, that for some reason sounds like him but also not at the same time, started speaking in his head, going on a rant about how they should die, they should hurt. After all, if they continue to exist or stick around Reader, they'll only make their life worse, making them insecure, isolate themselves, and then... they'll be gone and in the human equivalent of the Well of Allsparks, just like how he lost Elita-1. The voice continued on and on for days, slowly convincing the young Prime about how it'll be the right thing for his darling.

It was only a matter of time when they ended up missing and found dead the next morning.

Then you reunited with an old friend, Charles, who obviously had a crush on you but you were oblivious to it, and the voice spoke up again, how he will take you away from him. Optimus tried to ignore the voice, but the voice in his head started describing various things that would happen if you and your old friend got together, how your old friend would be the one to hold you close at night, sleeping together, getting your kisses, telling your old friend how much you love him, and so much more that it started driving Optimus crazy.

Charles was reported dead, his body torn to shreds, ripped apart limb by limb.

You stayed with Optimus that week, crying in his arms. He offered you words of comfort when you were in his arms, so soft and warm to the touch compared to his rough, cold metal plating. You would fall asleep on him, not noticing how his soft smile turned into a sly grin, optics flashed an ominous purple to them, filled with possessiveness, yearning, and obsession love.

These are Con’s who are a bit cautious seeing this new organic. They can’t tell what it is but by the way they carry themselves… They know this is not someone to take lightly. Will rub it into the faces of their teammates who decide to underestimate the organic. These Cons are a bit unsettled with how quicker and more agile this human is. They hadn’t met another human that could do these things. Mistakes are made when they decide to use Prime’s team as hostages. This organic is relentless and is willing to do everything they can get their little hands on to free their teammate. These Con’s are a sect fan of watching the human throw their shield… not that they would even admit it though.

These Cons don’t think too much when they see this new human. All organics are the same right? A myth that is quickly debunked when they get a shield straight into their optics. So Sentinel in TFP, think he’d get humbled very fast. Just he starts mouthing off that he’s second in command after ultra magnus.

Sentinel: OPTIMUS? That worthless maintenance bot he* turns around and then slowly looks up to see Optimus*

Sentinel pretty much has to shut up as no one is buying any of his bullshit. He also is pretty disbelieving that this Optimus is an alternate version of his Optimus he’d lie and say because his Optimus could be a leader like this but really, he’s internally frisking out and worried Optimus this war-torn and old and clearly tired fighting for eons.

He is having protective friend instincts and trying verry hard not to.

Sentinel is also terrified of the Decepticons who are way worse than the ones he knows. Megatron especially.

Her’s also pretty sure Megatron is fliting with Optimus… and they may be ex’s he is nto sure and way to scared to ask to does not want to touch that with a ten-foot pole… he’s also reexamining his universes Megatron’s interactions with his universes Optimus.

(He doesn’t want to give a shovel talk to Megatron he truly doesn’t)

Blackarachnia she is also super shocked by this universes autobots and Decepticons and any plans of a coup are thrown out the window as soon as she see’s this universes Megatron. She is glad there are no alternate versions of Lugnut and Blitzwing she doesn’t want to even what they’d be like.

The Decepticons are untrusting of her until they realize she is not an alternate version of Airachnid, after that kinda fascinated by techno organic Megatron starts asking about her universe… and her Universes Optimus she’s not sure why, though as soon as she mentions Starscream is immortal he just kinda nopes out apparently not wanting to even think about that universe. Even more so when she mentions starscreams clones.

Knockout actually gets along well with her, as soon as he realizes she is nothing to do with Airachnid, they gossip about each universe.

She is not sure what to do about the fact that Optimus and Megatron have or had a thing. She is so curious but also oh primus no I do not want to know anything… but I must tell me everything.

She sees Optimus across battle field and is just like what the fuck? She sees Sentinel who is nodding giving her the I KNOW WHAT THE FUCK look.

The two end up meeting up and talking, (gossiping) and piecing together what the fuck is going on with this universe, that Megatron and Optimus were/are a thing, Unicorn is real and MEGATRON AND OPTIMUS ARE A THING.

They also realize those 2 working out their shit would probably end the war in this unverse and that maybe that might carry over to theirs. Even if neither of them want to think about Optimus and Megatron as a couple, they remind themselves it’s for the good of the universe

When they get back to TFA verse Optimus is shocked that they are not only getting along but also truly so confused by the really really odd talk he gets about not overworking himself being a leader, things he needs to do once he takes over the autobots (Because after seeing that universe Sentinel and Blackarachnia have agreed yeah he’s gonna end up in charge… we are going to be joint second in command cause 1) power and 2) we’ve realized we actually care about him and don’t want him dead) but mostly they are criticizing his taste in mech and that a peace treaty based on marriage may be good but they want to give a shovel talk first.

Optimus is pretty sure they both have brain damage.

So after obsessing over Arachnis Prime and reading @sonicasura's bat Optimus idea I just was really, really digging it and was inspired to make my own AU similar to it

So basically in this AU both Optimus and Elita fall back into the cavern; Elita's power times out like in canon but Optimus manages to catch her as she's falling. The issue is all that does is put too much sudden weight and tension on his grappling hook causing it to pull out of the rock and send them both tumbling down. The explosion separates the two of them, sending Optimus even deeper in. While Elita becomes Blackarachnia as she does in canon, during and after her change she's looking for Optimus to see if he survived, eventually finding him in a terrible state. He'd run into the cavern's other denizens, massive vampiric and carnivorous bats. He managed to fight off and kill a few but not without serious damage, bordering on death.

In a bid to save him, but also for the selfish reason of not wanting to be a freak alone, she makes him a techno-organic like herself. From there, Optimus lives up to his name for the first little while, practicing with his new alt and eventually managing to fly out of the cavern to watch for any Autobot ships, believing Sentinal will surely come back with or at least send help since he didn't come back for them originally, eventually realizing that Blackarachnia is right, no one is coming.

Well, no Autobots at least. The two get picked up by the Decepticons, Optimus being very much not about the idea but following Blackarachnia almost blindly as he still sees Elita-1 in her and basically owes her his life.

From there it's kind of all over. For a good bit he kinda just follows her around like a puppy and follows her commands; after all initially the idea is for them to return to how they once were, but eventually, Optimus will realize that Blackarachnia is no longer his beloved friend and something will happen to cause him to finally turn on her and split off into his own thing, of what I'm not sure; honestly, it'll more than likely be a build-up of things instead of one big thing.

There's also the debate of how Optimus deals with the Decepticons and basically being one for a while. On the one hand, I like sonicasura's idea of him just being a victim of circumstance. He's not a Decepticon, or in this case, he's only a Decepticon in name, he's just a man who's trying to deal with his current situation the best he can while sticking to his morals and general worldview.

On the other hand, I like the idea of Optimus realizing the flaws and downright failings of Autobot society and becoming a Decepticon for real. He doesn't agree with their morals and what they do a lot of the time, but the ideals Megatron puts forth? He can get behind those, especially since he and Elita were failed by the system they followed so doggedly while Sentinal abandoned them (as far as he's aware) and potentially still gets 'rewarded' (given the rank of Prime and his own team; Optimus would not know he's delegated to bridge repair until later if at all)

More than likely he might fall into a third option of neither, where he abandons the Decepticons like Blackarachnia does but refuses to rejoin the Autobots because of the whole debacle, likely hiding away with the Dinobots on their island.

Also as you've likely noticed I haven't quite come up with Optimus' new name? I'm partial to Chiropteras, as Chiroptera is the order bats are from. I considered going with Optimus Primal since Blackarachnia is also from Beast Wars and a lot of people used/use Tarantulas for spider Optimus before Arachnus Prime was revealed, but my biggest thing is in TFA Prime isn't technically anything special, it's just a rank, so why would he still be Prime or even make it Primal? Unless he's giving himself the rank because he feels he deserves it/is bastardizing it for his own use. I could also potentially use the name of another bat transformer in the way that Tarantulas is the name of a Predacon from Beast Wars but none of them really fit? Cause there's Nightscream, Sonar, and Nyx (and technically Noctorro but he's a bat and a bull). I could use Nocturne or Nocturnus, too.

So because for whatever reason, TFA Sentinel has been incredibly prevalent in my mind today, I decided I might as well draw him

The first big issue was drawing that goddamn face. The big chin caused problems for me because it changes how I need to draw the face. So he didn’t really end up looking great on my first try (top left)

But by the second drawing I found a way, one that stuck throughout the rest of the drawing as I had the sketch on hand to look at. This is how I had it for that last one

But yeah, scheming Sentinel probably ended up turning out the best in my opinion

I still need to work on his body proportions though, the bottom left especially is pretty wonky. But maybe with some more practice I’ll get it down more

It’s the shovel things on his shoulder that get me the most, I feel like I make them too small but also they cover too much area at the same time

The bottom left I drew because one of my references made me realize he had some absolutely huge hands

Due to proportion wonkiness, I don’t think I made them big enough to convey the actual point, but at least there’s the ref to get what I’m saying

The bottom right meanwhile I drew mostly because I wanted to draw him with big shook eyes. Then I made it a reference to when I tried to draw TFA Optimus by making him shocked by TFO Sentinel

But yeah, I think it turned out relatively well, and I wouldn’t mind drawing him more. Should probably try drawing him with Optimus in all honesty, and maybe Elita/Blackarachnia

I really don’t know why he’s a favorite of mine, but he is. He’s a little bastard and I like seeing him suffer

Maybe it was the fanfic, maybe it wasn’t. I don’t know but he’s mine now

But I’m also really sad that he’ll never get the chance to have a proper character arc. I know I’ve spoken about it before, but I’m sad about it again. Granted, the show might never have given him one (and tbh I kind of lean more on the idea that he wouldn’t) but that’s one of the beauties of cancelled seasons, you can imagine anything was going to happen if it was plausible enough

I think he needs to properly suffer before getting a proper arc though. Or I guess have that be what drives him to change his ways. Not really sure what the suffering would be though, since I don’t think getting punished for his shadiness as acting Magnus would do that, it’d be more comeuppance than anything

I’m thinking it should deal with his organic phobia, like have him be made a techno-organic or something, if only temporarily. But even if temporary, he has to properly suffer like that for a while, maybe gaining more of an understanding of what Blackarachnia’s gone through and/or more of an understanding of organics

Honestly considering Blackarachnia was going to be the villain of Season 4, it probably wouldn’t be that implausible, I just don’t know if they would. And it’ll never happen anyways, so who cares?

Ah well, I suppose. That’s what fanfiction is for. So I need a multi chapter fanfic about a Sentinel redemption arc. Maybe it could be me one day, but I don’t have the commitment for that right now, just like every other idea I had

Anyways, I’m getting carried away now. Sentinel is neat and I don’t care if people hate him, he’s special to me, even if I don’t know why

She was none other than you, the conjux endura of the famed Jet Twins, Jetfire and Jetstorm.

You had joined the mission to lend aerial support alongside your bonded mechs, though your situation added an extra layer of caution. You were waiting for the arrival of your sparkling, an incredible gift for the growing family you and the twins had built amidst the chaos of war.

The twins exchanged a sheepish glance before Jetfire smirked.

“She has a point, brother.”

Jetstorm nodded solemnly. “Yes. Trouble finds us, but you keep it away. That is why we love you!”

Their playful banter eased your nerves as the mission began in earnest.

The battle with Blackarachnia and her forces was more harrowing than you anticipated. You’d barely managed to evade her webs as she unleashed chaos among the Autobots. Your twins fought valiantly by your side, their combined efforts creating powerful blasts that sent the enemy scattering.

Despite their efforts to shield you, a near miss from Blackarachnia’s venomous stinger grazed your armor. You managed to hold your ground, but Jetfire and Jetstorm were immediately at your side, their protective instincts flaring.

“Are you hurt, lyubov?” Jetfire asked, scanning you for injuries.

“I’m fine,” you assured him, though your spark ached at the thought of how close the danger had been.

Jetstorm glared at the retreating Decepticons. “They will pay for even thinking about hurting you!”

With your combined efforts, the Autobots managed to fend off the Decepticons and secure the area.

Later, back at the base, the Autobots were regrouping and repairing their injuries. Bumblebee, as energetic and bold as ever, approached you with a charming grin.

“Hey, Y/N, I was thinking—” he began, rubbing the back of his helm. “Maybe we could, y’know, hang out sometime? Just the two of us.”

You tilted your helm, confusion flickering across your optics. “Hang out?”

Jetfire, who had just returned from a repair check, narrowed his optics at the yellow scout. “What is this?” he demanded, his tone icy.

Jetstorm wasn’t far behind, crossing his arms over his chassis. “Yes, what is this?”

Bumblebee blinked, clearly not realizing the territory he was stepping into. “Oh, uh, I just thought Y/N might wanna… you know… spend some time with someone not her overprotective brothers.”

You stifled a laugh, realizing Bumblebee’s misunderstanding. “Bee, they’re not my brothers.”

Bumblebee’s optics widened. “Wait, what?”

“They’re my conjux endurae,” you explained with a warm smile, reaching out to take both Jetfire and Jetstorm’s servos in yours. “I’m bonded to both of them.”

The scout’s jaw dropped. “Both?! Like… married married?!”

Jetfire smirked, pulling you closer. “Yes, married married.”

Jetstorm chuckled. “And we are expecting a sparkling, too.”

Bumblebee’s optics flickered in disbelief before he groaned and slapped his forehead. “Oh, Primus, I just tried to hit on a married femme. Ratchet’s never gonna let me live this down.”

You patted Bumblebee’s shoulder in consolation. “It’s okay, Bee. No harm done.”

Later that night, as the base settled into quiet, you and the twins retreated to a private corner to rest. Jetfire wrapped an arm around you, his spark humming in contentment as he rested his helm against yours.

“You were amazing today, moya lyubov,” he murmurer.

Jetstorm leaned in on your other side, his optics soft as he gazed at you. “Yes, but please do not scare us like that again.”

You chuckled softly, feeling the warmth of their sparks surrounding you. “I promise to be more careful. I couldn’t bear to leave either of you… or the sparkling.”

The three of you shared a quiet, intimate moment, your sparks syncing in perfect harmony as you prepared for the challenges to come.

Though the road ahead would be difficult, you knew that with Jetfire and Jetstorm by your side, there was nothing you couldn’t face.

( can produce a shield and change its size, thickness and durability as well as create a bubble surrounding themselves. Their shield and bubble are capable of growing spikes)

( they have healing spit and can bring someone who just died back to life, though they will be pink and have a pocket dimension in their hair)

( they can project their mind into others as well as onto devices like tvs though they have to be asleep)

( they can give plants sentience and make them fight for them as a plant army)

( they can jump up really high and basically float by slowing the speed of their descent)

( they can put things like a phone or notebook in a bubble and tap the top of it to transport it through time and space to their home instantly)

Like Blackarachnia, just more vocal on how you make him uncomfortable— goes out of his way to mess with you so you don't ever come near him. Can't help but feel a tiny bit sorry for you but he knows he would do the same to you like Megatron did. However, maybe he would be a little bit better than the Decepticon warlord.

Lugnut

Has no options on you, he does whatever his lord commands him to do. If that means making sure you never leave his sight, so be it. You get no privacy with Lugnut.

Mmm honestly TFA Optimus strikes me as the type to fall for whoever he's attached to. Frame types don't matter to him. Anything goes. He's already an emotional disaster as is
