What is your favourite history/archaeology fact/topic/site etc that you love and wish more people knew and talked about?

This is an evil question Mouse.

I have never been able to narrow my focus down that much. In undergrad I got it down to 'anything older than Canada, because Canada is current events'. Which is, of course, a very nuanced view of history [sarcasm]. I guess I like that people have always been people. In the long Egyptian period which is over 3000 years of one continuous powerful state, there were people studying the history of Egypt.

The Greeks and Romans were so good at Religion that they changed the landscape of first the Mediterranean then, basically, everything outside of Asia and the Americas - and Australia.

Aboriginal Australians are such good story tellers that their oral histories are the oldest and most accurate histories on earth.

I just.

The dino benches are super cute. The angle is a little weird, though. And there's other seating if you're scared of dinosaurs. Looks like there's non-dino flat benches in the back on the right and a raised stone bench / retaining wall area on the left with grass and trees. I'm a little worried that there's no arm rests on any of the seating areas, though. It might be difficult for people with mobility issues to stand back up. Super cute for in front of a dino museum, though! And I totally want one.

jurassic park has a good philosophical message but unfortunately the only thing i ever take away from watching jurassic park is "god i wish i could go to jurassic park." like yeah it's a blatantly obvious don't create the torment nexus scenario, but this torment nexus has DINOSAURS.
