Ever since that day six years ago, Anchor's parents have grown extremely overprotective of him, wanting to do everything in their power to ensure that Anchor doesn't meet the same fate as his only friend did.

After having to move out of his hometown, Anchor hadn't been able to leave the house, his parents refusing to let him out of worry and concern for his safety. Despite them not having much money, they try to do what they think is best for their son, and try to protect him from physical harm.

And even though he desires freedom, he knew that arguing, or saying anything wouldn't get him anywhere. His family had always been stubborn. And he knew that they were just worried, and caring in the best way they could.

But he didn't want any of it.

He just wanted his friend back.

not to be too candid on main but i can attest that not all weak-in-the-knees swoony-moony-ness is just silly romantic literary fluff/conjecture because my ex + witness friends can confirm that about 75% of the times i have ever received a smooch while standing i have genuinely started to lose/lost my balance.

The Propagation - Glamoth pipeline has been sitting in my head for a hot minute. Mainly, how I pictured where exactly did Ruan Mei get the inspiration for such research from. While that in itself could be a coincidence, I believe the connecting thread itself of what inspired this creation began during the Swarm invasions, mainly, when you had things like this happening.

Where living beings, seemingly human and otherwise could actively be transformed into the Swarm, there's a thread of connectivity.

So that really made me sit and ponder here for a second. If this is very well possible, then how could I actively discern it? In my head, I think it's a matter of perspective, and we actually do have that from a SAM and a Propagation insect.

There's more examples I could pluck up but I digress. This right here caught my attention in the update, primarily, how Glamoth's answer to the Swarm would be the experiments with Empress Titania, leading to the test tube lives of the Glamoth's Iron Calvary. The usage of not only DNA in order to pass on power, but to hold a unified hivemind. The Titania's dream was the connector to all the soldiers of the Iron Calvary, allowing orders to be directed, for the cardinal rules to be followed while their mortal forms I imagine were hailed from her, leading to the wealth of experience carried from two fronts. It's also why I believe that the soldiers can't dream imaginatively, as it's become a genuine doorway to their collective unconscious.

Now I could just picture this as a coincidence, but, it's when we lead towards Ruan Mei's experiments

Through aspects involving Path power, Information (in the HSR sense) and data, this process in itself can either create the genuine swarm articles with her remixes, or in the case of Glamoth's usage, find a way to recreate an original power and have it passed on through 'offspring' aka the Iron Calvary soldiers. I believe the Propagation in particular is required for this, as it enhances I picture that it enhances the same DNA, abilities and that soul-like connection to be carried along.

I don't see the same 1 for 1 being as easily execution via the Abundance Path.

All this to say that I don't think they're 1 for 1, but the atrocities of the Swarm Disaster has given to light some pretty chilling possibilities, and the parallels I've come to see between the Empire and the Swarm are a touch too difficult for me to ignore, so I want to see if this spin can lead somewhere if this story aspect gets touched on more in the future.

And to think this all spawned just cause the codename of 'Fireflies' and this particular term of world from Firefly's lc.

It’s dark. Not a familiar dark, like of a bedroom at midnight or of closed eyelids. No, this dark is different. The scent of trees is heavy in the air. …A forest? At this time of night? The moon was barely visible through the foliage, casting just enough light to see where to step.

But, there’s a light, a little off in the distance. Shelter, possibly? It isn’t ideal to be in the dark woods all by oneself, after all.

As the light gets closer, a tent can be seen. The source of the light! Something moves inside. Maybe they could help? But…a familiar tension crackles in the air. Something feels different about this inevitable encounter.

Inching closer, a tune catches in the air. It’s familiar. That beautiful tone. Could it be…?

Well, there’s only one way to find out, isn’t there?

"...Hmm? Where- am I..?"

Kiyuu whispered, taking a moment to look out into the expanses that surrounded her. The darkness was eerie, and looming, but somehow, it seemed to emit an almost calming quality. She felt she wasn't as scared as she should be.

Leaves rustled behind her, and the sound of soft footsteps got closer. When she turned around, she met eyes with Anchor, who was stepping anxiously towards him, his tail wagging quickly in short strokes behind him.

"Ki-kiyuu..?"

He mumbled, his voice quivering as he walked up to her.

Kiyuu jumped.

"Ah- Anchor! Oh my god- you almost scared me..."

Kiyuu responded, with a soft laugh, trying to keep herself appearing calm, so she could inspire the same feeling in Anchor.

Anchor inched up to her, and leaned into her side, his tail instinctively beginning to curl around her.

"Hey, Anchor, you don't have to be scared... See, look! There's a faint light over there, isn't there? It looks like theres a shelter- which- would probably be pretty good for us right now! Even though we should probably be cautious about it too..."

"I- I'm not scared. Psh."

Anchor refuted in a mutter, suddenly standing up straighter and narrowing his expression, his tail following suit, sticking up straight and rigid.

"Sursies-! Let's go then? C'mon. I'll protect you~!"

Kiyuu responded, teasing him just a little.

Anchor responded by sending her a scowl, briefly sticking his tongue out at her before walking off, not waiting for Kiyuu as he headed towards the shelter.

"Wha- Hey! I didn't mean it! C'monn Anchorr, wait up!"

Kiyuu scrambled, trying to catch up to him, lest she be left behind in the dark and endless forest all alone. ...Wow. And that was certainly a thought they did not want to think about right now.

After a short while of them traversing in silence, each of them taking in their surroundings with analytical gazes (and plenty of nerves...), they'd finally arrived at the shelter.

They both stood for a moment, then looked at eachother.

A pause.

Then-

"Dibs not it!"

They exclaimed at the same time, Anchor losing by just a fraction of a second.

"Gosh- Dang it! Ugh..."

He snarled, fangs baring and his tail wagging faster for a second, before he calmed down a little, and sighed, bringing up a slightly shaking hand, and rapping his knuckles on the door a couple of times.

In the meantime, Kiyuu narrowed their eyes, ears listening into the faint tune she was hearing. She swore she recognised it somehow, but it was almost as if the memory was just out of her reach...

She couldn't help the unease that continued to grow within her. Something was wrong.

I'll be honest now I'm just thinking about how I lowkey--- okay no not lowkey, highkey, I highkey ship Jaime and Khaji Da. They are soulmate coded to me, personally. Any other ship with Jaime is going to have to involve the Scarab on some level anyway, okay?? It's literally attatched to his spine and spits off his neurochemical and physical reactions to people. Jaime literally had a clinical voice in his head at all times telling him when he thinks someone is hot it's so funny.

you know stdia was a rushed fan service when you remember dylans interviews and he was so sure stalia was endgame. stdias be like "they were always the plan" but not even THE ACTOR was given that info so what now

Oh, absolutely.

The entire cast shipped Stalia, Dylan himself and Shelley being the biggest shippers if i may say so myself. Dylan was never told of the Stydia twist in the last season bc there were simply no plans for it to happen. Shelley also denied any weird love triangle allegations when she was asked by a interviewer bc again, there was nothing between Stydia til the end where it ruined the entire show and regressed Stiles’ character from the development he had moving on from obsessing over Lydia and finding the importance of finding someone who reciprocates that is Malia. Stydia was never a thing, it’s the most crackship pairing i have ever come across it’s actually bizarre how popular it is given they have no chemistry on screen nor any romantic interactions together.
