i agree with the emo and goth music listener nico di angelo hc BUT i also think he is the furthest thing from a music snob. i feel like once he got out of the lotus casino and found out how many years of music he missed out on he started listening to as much music as he could. like what do you think he did during all those years of self isolation???? look out the bus window while it’s raining WITHOUT a mitski song??? plot revenge WITHOUT a country song about a cheating husband??? daydream about finding love WITHOUT a cheesy 2010s pop song????? i also think he’s one of those people who don’t know how to make playlists and throws everything they like in one and it’s WILD. he has disco followed by black metal followed by country followed by techno etc, multiple decades and multiple languages. there are songs he likes more than others but he doesn’t let genres stop him from at least trying.

will however had his whole life to experiment at a normal pace. had multiple phases and ended up a podcast enjoyer. which is funny bc his mom is a singer and his dad is the god of music, but that’s exactly why!! music is too powerful and personal, while the talking is like white noise and helps him concentrate. the times he does listen to music however?? he’s a certified YEARNER. nico canonically got the hint he liked him bc he kept staring from afar like that miley cyrus pic. my conclusion? HE’S THE REAL EMO MUSIC ENJOYER IN THE COUPLE. specifically, emo-rock and midwest emo. also alternative indie. he’s also not a snob, occasionally listens to other music, but while nico kinda likes whatever he likes, will heavily prefers these genres. also, opposite to nico’s messy playlists, will listens to albums front to back in the same order the artist put the songs in.

extra tidbit since you reached the bottom of this post: the necklace lisanna is wearing is a friendship necklace natsu gave her for the birthday after happy hatched, it's incredibly precious to her and she wore it around her ankle the whole time in edolas and it helped keep her from thinking she was insane and just dreamt up earthland :3

oh also like 4 months before lis left earthland the strausses all went and got matching ear piercings as a sibling thing bc lis and elf werent old enough for tattoos but they wanted to be connected somehow

my notifs recently got me thinking about the very random concept of "what if there is a second, secret CHB. directly below normal CHB." and i ended up brainstorming it in the discord.

context for how this originated: one was just a random notif on my post talking about the tunnels under the Hephaestus cabin, and the other was some tags from @drksanctuary on my fake readriordan article mentioning the idea of a chthonic demigod camp.

so. my brilliant (read: "smashing my 2 brain cells together") idea: the elaborate and seemingly infinite tunnels under cabin 9 are remnants of an abandoned underground CHB that exists directly underneath camp. It's basically just normal CHB except in a big cave system, probably connected to the labyrinth somewhere and has the separate tunnels, and instead of the Olympian cabins it has chthonic cabins. there's probably also some infernal nymphs and etc down there too. since all chthonic demigods can learn to shadow-travel they probably used that to get down there, and a lot of chthonic demigods probably have geokinesis just by nature, ergo the tunnels (for when they don't want to shadow-travel, or can't).

in brainstorming with the discord we decided it could be cool if some of the cabins lined up with the above-ground cabins, either for thematic purposes or associations or whatever. Like there's maybe a Hermes and maybe Poseidon cabin in the chthonic CHB too that just link to the above-ground ones, but also like Persephone cabin lines up to Demeter cabin because of course it does. and maybe Hecate cabin lines up to Cabin 8 cause Artemis is sometimes 1/3rd of Hecate. Maybe Angelos cabin is beneath Cabin 1, and Zagreus cabin is beneath Cabin 12. Things like that.

The other ones i thought of were either Hypnos or Thanatos cabin lines up with Apollo, because twins, and the other is just right beside it (because twins). And Charon's cabin is beneath Cabin 9, ergo why the tunnel system connects to it (because Charon. Ferryman. Surface access. It makes sense in my brain).
