“Fuck.” You can’t help but stare down at the stick in your fingertips as your phone begins to ring, yet you let it ring out. 

Dropping the stick, you bury your head in your hands as you stifle a cry. This can’t be happening, you were more careful than this, right? 

Obviously, you weren’t. One drunken evening after dinner on your anniversary, things got sloppy. A small groan escapes your lips as you begin to recall the events that took place, along with the words you muttered to David. ‘we don’t need it tonight, baby.’ 

Well, clearly you did. Congrats. 

Looking over to your phone, you watch as it lights up once more, another missed call from David and a text from your assistant. 

‘when are you coming out? they’re filming in twenty.’ 

A long sigh leaves your lips as you force yourself to your feet, throwing the stick into the trash as you exit the toilet in your trailer. As you walk over to grab your things, your hand instinctively rests on your stomach, on the non-existent baby bump. 

“There you are!” A small scoff sounds from Katy, your assistant as she leans against the door to your trailer. “Y/n, are you okay?” Her voice softens as you turn around to face her, paler than usual as you blink slowly. 

“I’m, I’ll be fine.” You stumble over your words as you try to walk past her, but Katy holds your upper arm lightly. “I’ll be fine, Kitty Kat.” You tease with a forced smile, one Katy doesn’t buy but allows it to slide. 

“Break a leg!” She calls out, something she’s done since she first began to assist you. 

Throwing her a thumbs up, you carry on towards the set for this afternoon. 

Today was the scene you were dreading; it was your fight scene. You insisted on doing your own stunts as a challenge to yourself. There was always your stunt double on stand by, but ninety percent of the time, it was you. 

“Okay, Y/n!” Mark, the director calls as you wave to him, taking your position on set as your hair and makeup is touched up. “So, scene twenty-seven, take five. And, action!” He yells, and suddenly you’re back into the world of the movie. 

“Listen, we can take this the easy way, or the bitch ass way.” You smirk to your costar, Jacob, who scoffs playfully. 

Besides you, the camera pans in on the sudden drop in your expression as you lunge yourself forward, tacking your costar to the ground as the coordinated fight between you fully commences. 

After the first few fake punches, things are going smoothly. “Okay, and cut there!” Mark calls out and you straighten up as your costar pats you on the shoulder. 

“Hey, Y/n, you feeling alright?” Jacob asks, his face beginning to blur into three as you fall backwards. “Can we get a medic on set?” You faintly hear as you lie on the ground, seeing faces surrounding you before you fully black out.

Groaning lightly, you slowly open your eyes.  

“There she is,” Katy smiles brightly as you try to sit upright, only to have her hand lightly rest on your shoulder, guiding you back down on your couch. “I’d take it steady, medic instructed me to ensure you drink this and stay seated.” 

Accepting the bottle of water, you take a long sip whilst Katy keeps her eyes focused on you. “What is it, Kitty Kat?” You raise an eyebrow to your assistant. 

“I don’t wanna pry, Y/n,” She starts, quickly trailing off. “but, the medic asked me if anything was different about you, and I know you’ve been sick a lot lately, and, and you’ve been having these mood swings.” She explains, focusing on the floor instead of looking you in the eye. 

“Katy, it’s okay.” You force a small smile as you reach your hand out, snapping her from her own thoughts. “Does anyone else know this or just the medic?” You ask her quietly, glancing over to check the door to your trailer is closed. 

“Just the medic.” She ensures as you sigh in relief, taking another sip from the bottle that’s close to empty now. “Have you told David?” Katy questions hesitantly and watches as you shake your head. 

Tears build up in your eyes within seconds, and a small sob escapes your lips. “I don’t know what to do,” You blubber, wiping your eyes as Katy passes you some tissues. “I, I’m in the middle of shooting a movie! David’s career is skyrocketing, I,” You sigh in exhaustion as you collapse back down into your sofa whilst Katy daps your eyes lightly with more tissues. 

“I guess you won’t know until you talk to him, Y/n/n.” Katy forces a smile as your trailer door opens, and your co-star appears. 

“Oh, sorry,” Jacob nervously laughs. “I just came to check you’re alright as Mark wants to carry on shooting the stunt, but we can use your double?” 

Sniffing, you sit upright as Katy holds her arms out cautiously. “Tell Mark to carry on with the double, sorry ‘bout this Jacob.” You apologise to your co-star who shrugs it off and exits the trailer, leaving you alone with your assistant once more. “I’m going to have to tell David,” You bury your head in your hands as Katy rubs your back supportively. 

“It’ll be okay, Y/n.” Katy tells you, wondering deep down whether this is going to be a good thing or not.

“Y/n?!” David yells as the front door closes, and he rushes from editing to the hallway, seeing you stood there with a tired smile on your face. “Katy texted me, you feeling any better?” 

Immediately you’re enveloped into a tight hug, one filled with so much love and concern, and you just break down. 

“I’m sorry,” You cry, pulling away from your boyfriend who furrows his eyebrows as you wipe your eyes forcefully. 

“Hey, it’s okay,” David hushes as he helps you toward the couch and sits beside you, lifting his hand up to wipe your tears away. “are you feeling any better? How was filming?” 

You simply shake your head as you fixate on the awards displayed from both your careers. So many achievements in a few years, how could you take potential opportunities away from him now? 

“I, it wasn’t so bad.” You shrug your shoulder. “But, there’s something I need to tell you,” Shifting on the couch, you face David and take his hands in yours. 

“Okay, what’s so serious?” He chortles but quickly cuts himself off as your lips turn down into a frown, and sadness coats your gaze. 

“You know I’ve been feeling kinda sick lately?” You slowly start, and David nods along. “Well, today I felt even worse, and I thought it might be my period, but it’s late.” You explain, looking up as David tenses up. 

“How late is late?” David questions quickly, holding your hands tightly as you hold back another cry. 

“Late enough to know it’s not coming, because I’m pregnant.” You quietly state, hearing it aloud for the first time as silence looms over both of you. “And I know, the timing couldn’t be any worse, but I did some research on my way home and there’s a clinic like a half-hour away, and-”

“Wait,” David cuts you off abruptly. “you, you don’t want it?” His voice softens to a whisper. 

“I, I don’t know.” You mutter, feeling David’s hands slip out of yours. “Are we even ready for a child, Dave?” You ask as he stands up and begins to pace around the living room. 

“We could be, but from the sounds of it you’ve made up your mind.” He scoffs, rubbing his eyes as you lean back, taking a cushion and covering your stomach. 

“I’ve not made my mind up, David.” You shoot back. “I’m just thinking of both of us here, what it’ll mean for our careers.” 

David pauses and sighs. “But we could make it work, others have!” He exclaims, but you shake your head. “Are you not ready for this? For a family?” David kneels down in front of you with those big doe eyes. 

“I’m scared, Dave.” You whimper, clutching the cushion closer to you. “You really think we could raise a kid in all of this,” You motion to the world around you, your world that you’re both consumed in. 

A small smile tugs at David’s lips as he pulls the cushion away from you, focusing on your stomach. “I think we can do this, but only if you’re ready to, Y/n.” David comforts you before sitting down beside you as you lean against him, resting your head on his shoulder. 

“Whatever I decide, you’ll be there for me?” You quietly ask, biting your lip as you glance up at David. 

“I’ll always be there for you, Y/n.” David kisses the top of your head as you snuggle closer into him. “Whatever you decide, I’m not going anywhere.”

You were were just sitting on the couch in your apartment, watching Netflix. You were curled around him, and your bodies just fit together like a puzzle. He looked down at the top of your head and thought; ‘yup, this feels right, think I could do this forever.’

The first time you slept over at his place, he actually pulled out all the stops for you. He cleaned super thoroughly aka throwing everything in the closet, putting down the toilet seat and lighting a candle that wasn’t even scented and had even called his mom to ask how to make your favorite pasta dish. When you were ready for bed, he opted to be a gentleman and let you sleep in his bed while he took the couch. He wasn’t opposed when you woke up in the middle of the night and tiptoed out of his room to gently wake him to come to bed with you after you’d had a nightmare. You had accidentally opened up the closet in the darkness, and a mass of clothes, shoes, and manga fell out, embarrassing Suga, but making you fall for him even more.

More random questions about All That Glitters because I fixate on weird things. What are the ages of the characters not listed in the series description? Mostly Angband and the older family members. I was able to figure out that Mairon is ~30, Gwindor is 33, Haleth is 17, Estela is ~24, etc. through the text, but I’m unsure on some of the others. I’d guess Fëanor was probably 45ish at his death and that Melkor is in his late 40s, but I’d love to hear some concrete numbers if you guys are down.

First of all, congrats on estimating a lot of ages pretty well from what I remember off the top of my head, that’s very flattering, honestly, that you care enough to read closely enough to deduce correctly! The author group loves building stats and keeping track of a variety of character details, so we do have a lot of ages written down. Gotta keep track, after all! I will make a post listing all the ages we have set, after I double check our timeline and various notes. Without checking I can definitely say Haleth is 17, and Estrela I THINK is 25? 26? Remember for the more current fics to age up all characters a little from the reference list, as over a year has now passed since the departure from NYC.

(I’ll also share the list of Feanorian birthdays, if you like, because yes of course we have picked out actual birthdays for everyone!)

Anyway, thanks for the question, I’ll make the age post soon! We all really enjoy getting reader questions and we likely have an answer or anecdote all ready to go as well because we have put . . . A quite frankly silly amount of thought into everything. There’s a lot of lore here as well as character detail, canon in-jokes, and historical research because . . . It’s fun.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

...this was my plan for the day regardless but I only just realized it was Thursday sooooooo

ANYWAY I’ve been listening to a superhero RPG podcast and it’s making me incredibly nostalgic for my very first teenaged superhero living a double life, and also my first official character and series, Super Frank.

This probably won’t become an official series but if I ever get into one of those Superhero DnD games I could use him for that. His powers are/were basically Superman Powers but I could always change it to something else, he’s a pretty blank slate in that regard.

I’ve tweaked the group considerably since middle/high school, and while Guardian Ghost also has a revamped version of these 3, I’m considering that an Offshoot AU compared to Frank’s actual canon.

Frank is Trans now. He was the character I used to voice my thoughts before I thought of drawing myself, and that included a time I actually passed out during a period and he experienced the same kind of pain for unrelated reasons. So now he’s only just started binding and forcing his voice down but hasn’t done much else yet.

(He definitely started IDing as Male by the time Middle School ended, but only just started presenting at the beginning of High School, and he’s a junior now)

Ironically enough, I used Frank as my avatar because I didn’t want to have a self insert in my drawings, when he was basically an incredibly generic version of me. So now he’s going to actually be me from High School (with some tweaks). Out of context doodling for non-existent series and all!

That means he also has my Aspergers, so congrats on the new hyper-fixating, stims, Literal Thinking, and Irrational Responses to Textures my dude

George is in here too, he’s been friends with Frank since elementary school and knows about Frank’s transitioning, the fact that he has superpowers, and his ridiculous crush on Gerildine. And George is also INCREDIBLY GAY in this version. (probably also has Aspergers)

George and Frank are also Anxiety Friends cause they both have Stupidly Sensitive Panic Responses, although now it’s rational when Frank is constantly fighting bad guys and George is powerless to do anything to help, besides covering for Frank when he has to bail out of class to save the town.

Gerildene meanwhile only just moved into town when she was ready for High School, and Frank’s had a crush on her the entire time (2-3 years). I’m not sure on her personality cause I never gave her one. I just know that she’s never really noticed Frank cause of his habit of being the Quiet Kid. And whenever he did his Bad Social Skills would flare up and render him unable to speak coherent sentences, or even words for that matter.

(Seriously I should work on her personality if I want to pursue this series, having her as The Crush and just that is lame)

On one hand, congrats, Mr. Waititi, you just gave me even more reason to dislike you, CH, and Marvel in general. On the other, thanks for confirming what I already believed. LOL sigh. Though I hadn’t seen this article before now, this sort of thing is a huge reason I started writing metas.

“Whining, boring nerd”. Apparently being extremely intelligent, feeling guilt for having killed people, and having been suicidal make you whiny and boring. Wow. You know what complications like those are? They’re called character depth. Not...whatever happened to Bruce in Ragnarok.

“Childish fixations and petty family squabbles.” Apparently wanting your family to treat you like an equal, and getting angry when they lie to your face, try to manipulate you, and give you the short end of every double standard they have is childish and petty. I...don’t even know what to say to that.

I think it is possible for people to like both Ragnarok and the original two Thor movies. Never underestimate peoples’ abilities to perform mental gymnastics. It gets pretty remarkable. However, I’m not sure about LOVING them both—you probably have to prefer one or the other. I know someone who likes both, leaning toward Ragnarok.

Also, not taking things like suicide and mental illness seriously is a thing at this point. Someone showed me part of a YouTube video that quite literally made a joke about having crippling depression. That person got annoyed when I pointed out that no crippling illness was funny. Some people even treat non-mental illnesses as a joke. Apparently those of us who don’t like that sort of thing have “no sense of humor”.

@philosopherking1887 I wish I didn’t see this article that you linked in @lokiloveforever​  ‘s post, and remained blissfully unaware of all other awful things that TW has said about our beloved characters and the franchise we loved. At the same time I’m happy because it basically confirms everything we were saying this whole time. So thank you for it. While I was reading it, I had to remind myself that using my phone to break my laptop’s screen won’t do anything good. Instead I’m going to list all the reason’s that TW’s own words refute some of TR fans points and how it proves that Ragnarok isn’t part of MCU. Fair warning: this might resembles a rant because I’m really angry right now.

Like two years of being on Earth in comparison with more than a thousand years on Asgard can change someone’s speech patterns.

This also shows he didn’t even watch or understood the previous movies. The whole point of the first Thor movie, was that this rich kid that we apparently shouldn’t give a shit about his problems, had fallen from grace and felt guilt for his wrong actions and tried to be a better person. But apparently the TR version, who thinks he’s a hero and always right and has the audacity to judge and use every character for his own goals feels guilt and is annoyed at his behavior. Yeah, okay.

And don’t get me start on Bruce/Hulk. This bipolar, angry green beast who a lot of children have found empathetic, and who some of us boring, whining nerds can identify with has never felt guilt about his actions. It’s not like he tried to commit suicide because of his guilt and self-loathing. It’s not like Hulk has enough heart and intelligence to be upset about hurting innocent people in AoU after he was snapped out of Wanda’s mind control. But apparently killing slaves for sport and not feeling guilty about it give the character more dimensions. Right.

But, hey, as far as TW is concerned, people like Bruce and Loki who are suicidal and have mental illness are just whiny and need to get over themselves.

Again this is another proof that TW didn’t see and understood the previous movies. Asgard had a warrior culture and looked down on magic users(Loki). Magic that Thor explained was science that humans still don’t understand. Asgard has no parties? Yeah, like it’s totally true:

TW was so allergic to emotions that he changed Odin’s death scene because the audience reacted to it with too strong emotions! Imagine that!

Thoughts on RAW

Well it was better than last week. I’d say it was pretty even on the highs vs lows as opposed to last week which had mostly lows.

1. With them always announcing segments in advance, they couldn’t have warned us they were doing a 10-bell salute so we’d be prepared for the somber way RAW began? 

2. We started with a match instead of a long Corbin/Drew/Lashly self-congrat segment. YAY. The match involves Ronda/Nia Jax/Tamina. Way less excited. If this Nattie constantly getting jumped by the Riott Squad isn’t going anywhere, can it just stop? Nattie deserves better than to be Ronda’s sidekick and the Riott Squad deserve better than being heels who jump their opponents but can’t win in the ring.

3. Oh good, another open forum. Just what I wanted. If you can’t get my sarcasm, I will hold up a sign for you. The only good part of this was the teasing of Women’s Tag Titles. Sasha and Bayley were annoying here, especially Bayley acting like a 5 year old who just landed her first burn.

4. Lucha House Party are heels with their random rules. The Revival deserves so much better.

5. Drew Appreciation Night was fun and awkward. Corbin was all nervous about giving him a present and then Dolph came out and acted like an ex who didn’t know they were dumped. It did make me feel a bit sorry for Dolph since he found out what he thought was a partnership was really him being used by Drew. But only a little sorry because Dolph still cheated a lot during his IC feud with Seth. Finn coming out was the best part of the whole thing. Still can’t believe Drew’s first pin loss is to Dolph, with an assist from Finn. Drew can be pissed all he wanted but he and Dolph did the exact same thing to Seth and others many many times.

6. Elias playing guitar is something I would watch for three hours straight. Finn helping him get the better of Lio Rush was another great moment.

7. And here’s where the tag team division truly died. Bobby and Chad might be a thrown together because creative had nothing else tag team but they deserve better than these piss jokes and getting pinned in this manner by Drake Maverick. And AoP look nothing like the dominant tag team they started out as.

8. Dean Ambrose standing tall yet again is so bad. The feud is too one-sided right now, in favour of Dean the heel, which usually doesn’t mean good things for that side when a PPV comes around. Dean’s still saying pretty generic heel stuff and the only way it’s interesting is because it’s him and Seth. Him standing tall every week also gives is a generic heel feel where the heel stands tall during the live episodes but can never win at the PPV. This promo was probably the most interesting one he’s shot so far but it seems like every week he has a new reason behind his turn. Hating Seth and Roman for becoming good people who love the fans makes no sense since Dean played a face for so long and really only works if he admits to faking it the whole time. He also at times sounded like that douchebag who breaks up with a girl after taking her virginity, claiming she’s way too clingy and needy now. Ambrollins fuel for sure. If Dean stands tall again next week I can see TLC going one of two ways. It means Dean loses and it makes him even more determined and fixated on Seth or Seth retains through a DQ/double count out but Dean was so vicious that Seth needs a few weeks off to recover(also possible if Dean wins). Taking Seth off TV would be a mistake though.

9. Usually I say Dean and Seth deserve better(and they do) but this week I’m screaming, Renee Young deserves better! Stop asking her the same question each week. Either come up with a plausible reason she doesn’t know anything or just stop asking her. 

10. I kinda forgot Heath and Rhyno existed but now I feel bad for both of them. If Heath uses his newfound ref powers to screw Corbin, that will be fun.

11. I was hoping for more from the Finn/Jinder match since Finn was having such a great night. Crews making a save from nowhere would be a little more exciting if I thought it meant anything. I expected Dolph or Elias. At least Finn won.

12. The main event was a waste except for the fact that I got to see Ember Moon. If they want to make Ronda look good, the last people she should be paired against is Nia and Tamina. That was a botchy main event and none of the four women have styles that mesh well.
