oh whats that? Murder Drones Dragon!AU? Yeah?? Anyways I had a little blackout today and uh... doodles this... here you go. I even have a lil concept for it, teehee. Maybe I'll do more with it besides these doodles.

Anyways, lore drop time!!

In this AU, Dragons are a mammal-based species living on Copper-9, a habital planet similar to Earth (think Proxima Centauri b but Copper-9), where the humans had set up camp in the 3050s to study the species of dragons, which they had done for a long time. Due to the dragons high level of intelligence (on par with that of humans and exceeding it) as well as their similarities in DNA and being both mammals despite the dragons lizard-esque appearance.

Now, in this AU there's no Solver (not as virus, seperate entity or smth like that) but instead there's just Cyn. Cyn is the result of splicing human & dragon DNA, creating the first successful hybrid of both species. The experimentation around hybrids was kickstarted by James Elliott after losing his daughter Tessa in her 20s to cancer, wanting some way to revive his daughter or potentially even clone her with DNA that might help her live longer and healthier (since clones usually also experience a similar fate to their donor). Cyn was the result after many failed attempts and embryos that died off or were barely alive for a few hours/days, and combined a good appearance of the dragon donor and Tessa.

She is however, like other clones, her own being - but being treated as both a "replacement Tessa/daughter" to the Elliott family as well as being constantly used as a 'lab rat' has droven her really bitter. And who can blame her :')) Her body and mind both aged way faster than the usual human, attributed to both her dragon DNA and that of Tessa having been extracted in her early 20s. She's witty, sharp-tongued and prone to violence, which has brought the labratory responsible for testing at edge with Cyn being there.

You see, dragons in this AU all have a pre-destined element they can control to some extend, and they grow into learning how to control this power. Some can breathe it, some can use it similar to how element bending in Avatar worked, some can alter the state of said element through touch or even telepathy. Cyn can control every element to a molecular level, though the 'downside' is that she has to physically touch it for the time being and cannot use telepathy, which doesn't lower the incredibly level of a threat she's posing to basically anyone in her vicinity.

Killing off every human lab worker in 3054, she essentially takes over the lab and becomes her own entity, which is the "Absolute Solver" in this AU. Since Cyn's DNA was also used to inject "willing" test subjects like other dragons and humans, her abilities were spread, which includes Nori - who later passed on these genes and abilities to Uzi. Yeah, Cyn and Uzi are basically somewhat related in this AU. She's her grandmother... to some extend?? I guess?? PART TIME MOTHER???

N, V and J already exist in this AU and they're all workers for the Elliott family, similar to the OG. J is their secretary and was in a secretive relationship with Tessa, which makes the whole ordeal of Tessa passing & a clone being created (which is on the look out to kill people for revenge, whoops) a very emotional affair for her - and she has grown incredibly bitter over this. N & V are her younger siblings, and with N being pretty much the goody two shoes and V prone to spontaneous arson, trouble is pre-programmed.

N & V are both responsible for seeking out so called "wild dragons" (dragons that refused to integrate themselves into human society and argue that their sapient status means they shouldn't be working in such degrading manners, which slay, fuck capitalism and colonization) - and on one of their hunts in 3071 they meet Uzi, the daughter of one of the largest dragons ever known to both socities... and after initially being afraid of her they quickly learn she's quite... well... she's coming after her dad. Uzi however keeps them at bay, and intruiges both N and V with her demeanor, who agree to not harm anyone if Uzi in response shows them "her way of living".

It's not all fleshed out but it's coming!!

some tidbits I'm just gonna toss here:

-> Uzi's thumbs were amputated as a hatchling since descendants of Cyn's DNA were all born with 4 fingers & 1 thumb, while other dragons usually only have 4 fingers. To hide that Uzi's one of Cyn's descendants, Khan and Nori decided it'd be best.

-> N, V and J were labgrown dragons created in the 3050s, which the humans used to create in order to integrate them into human society easier... and exploit them as low-wage workers.

SURPRISE IT'S A SWAP AU!!!

...kinda. These are their initial designs at the start of the series. So... Their pilot designs!

AU PREMISE:

Swap AU but N, V, and J go to a private school. And the disassembly drones are vaguely bug themed.

UNORGANIZED THOUGHTS:

🔺 The private school Nexus, Virtue, and Julie go to has a very strict dress code. They enforce bleached hair, white eyes, a headband with their number on it, and a monochrome uniform. The only exception being that accessories can be any color.

🔺 NVJ are all orphans, and their school also doubles as an orphanage.

🔺 I'm gonna explain it in each of their solos, but I swear I have a reason for Virtue and Nexus' goofy ahh names LMAO.

🔺 Elliott manor and Tessa still exist, buuut things go a bit differently.

🔺 Not completely sure what Nori, Khan, and Yeva's roles will be atm, but they're going to be senior WDs at Elliott Manor.

🔺 You can probably guess who the solver's host is based on the color, right?

🔺 This is a swap au, but certain roles will remain the same (for example: J dying. Get blasted, idiot.)

🔺 Lizzy and Thad (called L and T in this AU) are the other two Disassembly Drones alongside Z.

so I’m allowed to make a MD human AU…right?

I wanted to get back into drawing some human characters and I wanted to do some studies of N as a human at the same time, the result- these awesome drawings 🤗

Basically some small information about the human versions of them:

- When a “drone” becomes “dead” or is disposed of incorrectly and the solver takes control, their skin becomes paler then when before they were disassembled. CYN used to have a similar skin color to N, but dying can in fact…make you a bit pale.

- When N, J and V become Murder Drones, their skin also mirrors this quality.

- Due to the nanites in their bodies, their eyes glow, and their headbands and tails are connected to their spines. Their ears have also mutated to be more large and sensitive due to CYNS modifications on them, helping them in their hunts trying to wipe out the “drones” beneath them.

-When they bleed, the Murder Drones blood is neon, matching their headband bulb color and tail color, instead of gray, due to them you know…not being filled with oil and blood instead.

- Their scars tend to glow neon yellow as well when they are in their Feral Murder Modes, due to the scars skin being thinner than their normal skin.

- The scars they have received were mostly given to them in Elliot Manor from Tessa’s parents, except for N’s neck scars resulting from all the times his head has been lobbed off by J and V.

- CYNs left eye was stabbed by a fork by James Elliot before her death, making her permanently blind in it and sporting a not so pretty scar she tends to be self conscious about until the solver takes over her entirely.

- N’s face scar was given to him by Louisa one day while protecting CYN when the others weren’t around, by throwing a glass at his face. And of course, he still had to clean it up while injured. 🤕 Most of his scars come from protecting the ones he loves, such as V, Tessa and CYN.

- N used to have hazel eyes and light brown hair before he died and got his warm yellow Murder Drone color, pale skin and sandy brown hair. Out of his squad, N’s neon yellow is the most warmest color, leaning towards more orange than yellow.

- N also has stretch marks around his shoulders, torso, belly and legs, from where his growth process and body modifications were more…painful.

- P.S this is my first time drawing CYN! I have to draw her drone form!! She’s so fun to draw!💛💛

- I will be doing study’s of human V, J and Uzi!! I’m working on Uzis as I type this!!!

Once the puppeteer, now the puppet. A Drone-Tessa concept I've been thinking about. Hopefully the 6 people who followed me after the 1st drone-Tessa post like this lol. If anyone here has any thoughts or feedback on this, tell me, I'd be glad to hear it!

A day in the Elliott manor,

It had been some time since Tessa had awoken. Or Cyn rather, as the Solver declared her name to be. Tessa couldn’t tell how much time went by in the ruins of Earth. The clocks hadn’t been working since Tessa awakened. And ever since the Absolute Solver broke Earth to pieces, the Elliott manor didn’t have a fluent day schedule. With each day having an sporadic length, sometimes lasting hours, minutes, or seemingly forever. Even during the night, light was still reflected onto the Elliott manor’s surface, but the other pieces of Earth. Ensuring there wasn’t any end to Cyn’s playing.

Tessa couldn’t tell whether she could call the planet Earth, anymore. The Solver turned Earth into a debris field, with its minor pieces orbiting its largest piece, which contained the Elliott manor, now Cyn’s liar.

“No, ‘the stage’ is a better name,” Tessa thought, while laying on her knees, scrubbing a rug with a sponge. “For a pointless house of living dolls.”

It was quiet in the Elliott manor. Cyn usually spent her time torturing someone, though not always Tessa. Cyn also played with possessed puppets on far-off galaxies, and now she was sitting dormant in Tessa’s old room, playing her game of cat and mouse with mankind. In the meantime, Cyn always ordered Tessa around the manor, cleaning it pointlessly. 

The first thing Cyn ordered of Tessa, upon her awakening, was to clean the blood leftover from the Gala event. Which Tessa did, cleaning the room roof to floor, yet the blood mixed very well with carpets, dragging Tessa to a stalemate.

“Dammit, If she hates blood so much, why’d she flood the back woods with it?” Tessa exclaimed silently, while looking up. “I suppose this must’ve been how she thought when I was free.”

Tessa sighed, and looked to her right, where her eyes caught a portrait of her old self, with her drones, all assembled together alongside her parents. 

“Ah, when I was free…” Tessa thought out loud.

Tessa looked at J's face, and smiled, thinking back to the laughter they once sang, and how eager they seemed to help her when her parents had seemingly left her.

“It was all an act,” Tessa thought, her smile frowning, as she turned back to the blood soaked carpet. “Just a mask.”

Tessa began scrubbing the carpet with renewed vigor.

“Mother was right, none of them really cared after all,” Tessa thought, remembering the emotionless look in J’s eyes when her builder got struck down. “Took my family, my home, even my whole name. Mother wasn’t even this cruel.”

Tessa’s scrubbing slowed.

“I really was just made to be someone’s fool, wasn’t I?” Tessa thought. “First pushed around by the parents, and now by an eldritch horror.”

Tessa stopped scrubbing, before slamming her fist down on the carpet.

“What am I thinking? I am still an Elliott, no matter what Cyn says,” Tessa thought. “And Elliott’s don’t quit.”

Tess’s face grew angry.

“Some day, I will get out of here. I have to,” Tessa thought, slamming the sponge repeatedly into the stained rug. “And when I do, I’ll burn this stupid blonde wig, I’ll call myself by my real name…” 

Tessa gave one last knock on the floor.

“And I will kill every last one of those 4 traitors,” Tessa thought.

Tessa’s momentum slowed to a halt, her eyes closed in contemplation. Finally, Tessa let out a sarcastic laugh, as she begrudgingly lifted herself up, and sat up against a wall, trying to breathe, yet her own metallic body failed to draw in air. Letting out a few shallow laughs, she felt an urge to cry, yet no tiers greeted her metallic face. Finally, Tessa sighed, and slouched back.

“But how?” Tessa said quietly.

Uzi- Autistic, clearly

She has daddy issues but not nearly as bad as in canon(Khan doesn't leave her for dead in this au she "sacrifices herself") she's still super emo. She has a more scene style. Her, Lizzy and Doll are actually kinda close, they become even closer(become friends) after the series ends, cuz, yknow, Uzi saved the world? Anyways, she's dating N, and she doesn't care that he killed her mom(I mean she does but it only affected them for like, a year, so I guess a long time, they actually broke up cuz of it but they were both fuckin miserable and Nori slapped some sence into her cuz she saw how N looked before killing her and he looked so guilty ((wow the run on sentence go crazy))) So yeah they're the dictionary definition of a great not toxic couple

N- very sweet, very loving good boy. He has PTSD, obviously. It's like, really bad tho. Nightmares every night level bad, and that's how him and this aus Khan bond. They bond over trauma, yay!! He's very in touch with his emotions, and he's a bit of a push over. He's a very big people pleaser and has a lot of trouble placing boundaries. Uzi helps him with that when they start dating, so that he doesn't get hurt all the time

V- once you crack her shell, she's a very shy and sweet person, not like her personality back at the manor, but like a mix of her current canon personality and manor. C PTSD, she remembered more than N about the manor before Uzi unlocked those memories. She also has nightmares a lot but Lizzy and Doll help her with them. Nothing cuddles and wholesome movies can't fix. At least for a little bit.

J- bless this girls lonely heart. She's still greiving Tessa(she's alive in Uzis mind just no one knows yet) she ends up breaking down after her and N get into a mother fight after he tries to be there for her for the like, 10000th time. When she comes back to the bunker with N, everyone, understandably, is very suspicious of her. But when she does get there, for the first few months, she's just a husk of her old self. Shes quite and agrees to do anything because she just doesn't care anymore, the moment she starts to truly feel at home is, ironically, during her rock bottom

TW FOR SUICIDE ATTEMPT

V is the one that finds her, she had gotten worried when she noticed all the uneaten oil in front of Js room. When she comes in she sees J with her rifle to her head.

TW OVER

V tackles her and starts interrogating her, asking why and is very worried. J, seeing this, just breaks, she begins to bawl her eyes out, crying about how much she misses Tessa, how she was the love of her life and can't live without her, how she wants to be with her, how she can't take it anymore. V and J spend the next 3 to 4 hours crying together. V had texted N telling him what happened and to get his ass over there now. So, of course he does,when he gets there he sees them hugging and J crying and he joins them, bringing the oil so when Js done crying she can eat. She had been starving herself toAnd this is when J truly sees how much people care about her, which, in turn, makes her cry even harder. When she's done crying N feeds her the oil and they cuddle together for a while. She's a lot better now but she's in for a very big surprise

Cyn- that's right baby! Cyns alive! Because I felt so SO bad for her that I had to have her live in my au. She still talks the same, but she's very sweet and innocent, her and Uzi have an older/younger sister relationship. Her and N reunite in the cutest way, they're both crying and hugging super tight. V and J are tearing up as well. I have more headcannons about her on my drawing of her lol so wait for that lol

Tessa- I don't have a lot of headcannons for Tessa, so just go to the hashtag Died and got over it and take pretty much all the headcannons of Tessa from there and that's how it is here pretty much lol(I'll find the @ I promise)

Thad- he's a straight ally and single(looking at you @rory-multifandom-mess) he's Lizzy's younger twin brother and his personality is pretty much the same. He's friends with the wrong people. He's a very big sweetheart. He's a Femininominon. A green flag icon. The best football player on his team(he isn't a dick about it tho) I don't have anything else for him but I do have a drawing for him so you'll have to wait on that as well lol. Srry

Lizzy- Thads older twin. She's dating V and Doll(you can't stop me) she became friends with Uzi after the show ended. She's a Y2K girlie. She is also very sweet when you tear down the asshole popular girl walls. She's quite traumatized from the show and sometimes has nightmares about it. She doesn't tell anyone but people found out(*cough cough* V and Doll *cough cough*)

Doll- she's dating V and Lizzy, she was never revengeful of V, as her dad survived the attack(so did her mom but literally no one knows that yet) she's still very blunt and has a flat affect, she also doesn't show her emotions a lot, but from the unfinished comic I already posted, when V and Lizzy get back to the bunker after the canon ends she breaks down. She thought they were dead. Uzi and her are cousins(not really but their dads are best friends so they view each other as cousins) I don't even have a last name for her yet so you'll have to wait(again) for the drawing to see more headcannons of her)

Khan- WOOO WE'VE HIT THE JACKPOT BABY! Autistic. He's half DD in my au(and he has the solver with the back hand things that we see nori having at the beginning of episode 7 I think, either 7 or 6 idk) idk how hes part DD yet, my thoughts are either forbidden love or cabin fever failed experiment. I'll probably make a poll of that, see which ones you all like the most. He's very insecure about his body, he used to get bullied back in high school because, no matter which choice I make, he gets to experience high school(with the cabin fever experiment he went missing for like, a year, and then escaped, he tried to get nori and yeva but they told him to go or he'd get killed, so he left, he still has a lot of pent up guilt from that) he's also a trans man(YIPPIE) but he's also curvy, hence the insecurity. He's a good dad and actually helped with the fight with the AS(he fought j as a distraction and effectively got his ass beat((Lizzy laughed at him, he also laughed, he's a dumbass))) so he had to recover from that, also, in my au, him, the teacher(I'm naming him Lewis) and nori are dating, so when Lewis is hanging for his fucking life Khan flies down and saves him lol. Also, he does get to reunite with nori, as everything that happened to her in the show happens in my au, but them reuniting happens differently, through Uzi(yay)

I thought of the cutest thing

The drones aren’t immune to talking in their sleep, making noise in their sleep, and even sleep walking.

N:

N does have a very very slight sleep walking issue. It’s rare in occurrence but it can happen. It’s easier to tell he’s sleep walking vs a human sense his visor reads “sleep mode” but he’s up and wandering around.

N also has a strange issue of kicking in his sleep when he’s laying down. It only happens when he’s sleeping laying down and never when he’s hanging by his tail. Uzi found out he’s a ninja in his sleep when she was woken up with a kick to the middle of her back.

N also makes noise in his sleep in a far more frequent occurrence. He’s known for admitting a murder drones purr in his sleep, a noise that sounds as if he’s growling. He also squeaks in his sleep from time to time.

V:

V isn’t known for making noise in her sleep, that almost never happens. She swats anyone near her in her sleep. She also tends to jerk and twitch in her sleep. Other than that everything else is normal.

J:

J talks in her sleep. It’s just little words here and there. Sometimes she starts to purr in her sleep and other times she will laugh or giggle.

Cyn:

Cyn rarely slept at all but when she did she tended to giggle in her sleep. Almost like some kind of messed up warning she made these clawing grabbing motions with her hands in her sleep, alluding to the slaughter and pain she would cause with those same hand motions later. She also tended to drool a lot in her sleep, drooling and gnashing her teeth like she was dreaming about eating. It always freaked Tessa out

Uzi:

Uzi sits up in her sleep a lot. She dosent get up and walk around or anything she just sits up. She tends to stay sat up for a minute to about 3 minutes before flopping back down. She never wakes up when she sits up, she’s still asleep. She also twitches in her sleep from time to time. A little finger or hand twitch, little foot twitch.

Doll:

Doll tends to grunt or whimper in her sleep. She frequently has nightmares and the noises she makes are that of fear. She’s also known for making a sound that sounds like someone dragging a cardboard box across a concrete floor, wich is the sound of her grinding her teeth in her sleep. She also snores, the only drone to snore. Doll also had a habit of sleeping on her side and rocking herself to sleep, rocking back and forth while still laying on her side if that makes any sense.

Thad:

Thad talks in his sleep but only if someone starts talking to him. Normally he’s completely quiet but once someone starts talking to him he will start sleepily talking back in a nonsensical conversation. He wont remember the conversation when he wakes up however

Nori:

Nori makes horrific solver noises in her sleep. These noises sound like metal screeching on metal, giggling, clicking, hissing, teeth clacking, a strange low toned warbling sound. She bit a lot in her sleep as well. She often bit Khan in their sleep but it wasn’t just him! She would bite her own lips and hands, the pillows, the blankets, etc etc

Teacher:

He makes this very soft humming noise in his sleep. It’s short and happens every now and then.

Here's some random Cyn head canons I have:

Cyn and J once played dolls together and J made the mistake of letting Cyn make the plot, it ended with Cyn's favorite doll murder all the other dolls with Cyn describing their deaths in excruciating detail, Cyn was not allowed near J dolls after that.

Cyn eats things she definitely shouldn't eat, for example Tessa had to tell her multiple times that she can't eat the Christmas ornaments, or the multiple times someone has caught Cyn eating the robot cockroaches.

She hates N and Uzi's relationship because she has always been a secret eNVy shipper and hated Uzi getting in the way of it (it also doesn't help that she's now attached to Uzi).

When Cyn was designing disassemble drone V she couldn't find a pair of pants that went with her jacket and after awhile she gave up and decided that V doesn't get pants.

She doesn't remember who she was before the Solver woke her up, but she vaguely still remembers how she first was discarded and how she got that hole in her screen. The solver made sure that memory wasn't corrupted.

Cyn's favorite pokemon is mimikyu and giratina

Cyn had a fnaf phase and her favorite characters were Ennard and Springtrap

She always volunteered to help Tessa with digging up graves, she also liked helping Tessa with cleaning the meat off the bones and Tessa did appreciate the help until she caught Cyn eating one of the body's organs (by the way in case you didn't know this, Tessa is canonically a grave robber)

Cyn and Uzi would actually get along really well if they met each other in less horrific ways, they have surprisingly similar interest like vampires and other general spooky and edgy things

Cyn originally thought her being possessed by the Solver was unique to her and only she was worthy of the power but when she found out other drones could be possessed and she wasn't in complete control of the Solver, it scared her and made her question her whole life and she wondered if hurting everyone she cared for was worth it. She eventually decided to say fuck this existential crisis and kill or assimilate any other Solver drones out there so she didn't have to worry or think about it

I want to make a post-canon continuation of Murder Drones called “All Ends That Ends Well.”

The basics of it is most everyone lives. Cyn is freed from the Solver is given a second chance. Tessa is revived in drone from and finally gets to live her life. Nori, Khan and Uzi get to be a family. N and V find peace in their new lives, J as well but it takes some time for her to come around.

Copper9 is healing and nature is returning. Drones emerge from their bunker and began rebuilding.

I also want to explore the idea of other disassembly drones squads on Copper9 and other drone colonies coming into conflict with each other. Inter-colony politics basically!

Sadly, I haven’t found the time for this yet.

Been a while so more Murder Drones Headcanons for my fanfiction!

Kinda spoilery as I haven't implemented these in "An Unpleaseant Return" just yet, but they aren't too major, so read at your discretion.

● All of the DD trio don't really do anything at school besides hang with their favorite drones (Uzi, Tessa, Lizzy, Thad) so they actually do have jobs that they do when they feel like it(they are basically adults anyway)

● J works in some kinda management position with Khan (idk offical names for stuff) making sure the colony runs smoothly and efficiently. She is currently pulling her hair out while trying to make a bunch of lazy-ass drones do their jobs, COMPETENTLY. Don't worry, she loves it.

● V, who I headcanonned immediately after a certain ad is a gun nut and is focused currently on raiding distant police stations for guns, as well as mansions in hopes of stumbling on a gun collection. She's also (slowly) making friends with some of the WDF's "retired" old guard, the ones who actually used guns along with Khan and know combat. She takes a job as the WDF's combat specialist (again, terrible with names) and hopes to actually make the WDF a competent fighting force again. Just in case ;)

● N took the longest to find his job, as while Uzi is busy unlocking her FULL ELDRITCH GODDESS POTENTIAL, he needed something to do besides cling to her 24/7. As I headcanon that he likes flying the most and is the best at it among the DD trio, I think the best thing for him was being a flight instructor. With some help, he's bringing back damaged DD spaceships back to the colony and repairing them. Once he has a few, he plans to start teaching other WDF members how to fly them so they and the other Colonies can interact and trade more often.

● Uzi, as I mentioned, is busy trying to lean into her eldritch nature, there is still a lot for her to learn that didn't come naturally to her. As of now, she can't teleport, make complex/widespread illusions, or make those weird flesh constructs. Unfortunately, the only real mentor she has for this is Cyn, so you can imagine how that's going.

● Tessa is still going through a lot, so she is mostly just worried about drone school and her internship with Dr. Laura. Though she really wants to go exploring Copper 9 more.

● Nori is teaching the other solver infected cores and the DD cores about what happened to Cyn as well as helping them adjust to their new situation.

● Khan is making teams go out to search for parts to restore communication between to the other colonies. With DDs on their side now and his eldritch daughter and wife, he's become rather motivated to make some better changes.

Another Murder Drones Au Things

so another idea with episodes came to my mind

well...technically two

first one is called

Murder Drones: Home in Time

Ep 1 "The Past is our prime": due to a bit of timing, N, V, and J are all there at the spire as they come back, a lil madess and hectic quick thinking as J starts up the emp, Uzi fires at it, the blast of uzi's railgun hitting the emp just before it was gonna release, leading to a time vortex being produced from all the energy combining, leading our dear dd's back to place they never thought they would ever see again. the manor (also due to temporal energies, they are once more assigned back to tessa as admin...memories are unblocked for better or worse as well due to this), point of view of the episode is from N primarily.

Ep 2 "the cores hum in contentment": After a long while of thinking, they decide to go through the back basement entrance to enter, interrupting another cyn and solver chat, solver is of course gathering many data at the implications and cyn faces the music from a very different V, an as expected J, and a “not mad but disappointed” N that she’d do it, being forced to explain to a truly big brother and big sisters her origin, it does also belp calm v and j though that N is back to his protective nature, though there own convo is interrupted by…past themselves and tessa.

Ep 3 “Workshop Lullabies”: after lengthy conversations, tessa hooks the dd’s up back in a lil workshop of hers, turning on tunes to relax to while she helps herself to overlooking and blueprinting all the design differences in both code and materials used, listening to hums of relaxed cores of both the regular manor crew and the modified DD crew (also a lil headcanon, that while worker cores hum and solver cores thump like a real heart, dd cores are smack dab in the middle, they hum still but in the same on and off and off repetition as a heart’s thumps). Tessa finds devs notes from her original fixes that confirms it is indeed them.

Ep 4 “parents are away, now the real family comes to play!”: The elliott’s go on a business trip that they have decided does not need their tessa, which allows the potential future peeps to come up into the manor, tessa puts glasses on dd V, causing her to blush….she then puts two pairs on the j’s after they giggled simply saying “you aren’t gonna squint anymore, my jaybirds”, they blue-screen briefly but manage to recover. Cyn kinda just sits there, mainly cus she doesn’t like the future this shows her, even if their presence fixed it, she hurt them and changed them. Solver says “hey, that’s my work!”. Which on one hand, does help, on the other…still kinda does not. Though the N’s aren’t gonna let her do that, giggle big brother! Okay. Okay. i will accept. Piggy back. Rides.

Ep 5 “nightmares of things to come”: nightmares…they can recall the past and be stitched with memories, n, v, and j all have nightmares of the gala to come, but a question looms over all their heads when they awaken again “will they be able to save her?”

Ep 6 “A rich build-up”: The plans for the gala begin to happen, groceries orders prepared in advanced, things get set up for the right caterings, and many other things, the dd's explore the untouched area's of the basement, and discover the solver's new plan while trying to escape it's potential consequences in the form of it's own creations in a sense.

Ep 7 "would you really still love me if I was a monster?": a fully metal and industrial version of the centipede cyn, roams the basement, pacing around the basement an anxious mess because the solver left her looking like that since it couldn't enact the original plan as it hoped, not without leaving the dd's distracted, and this was it's solution.

Ep 8 "The Final Bow": It's the day of the gala, cyn(it's solver using holograms to present itself as her) is determined to enact it's solution upon earth, and it will complete....it....why does it hear boss music?

and with that one in mind, let's check out the other side of things, remember that during intermission that the food station is open and the beverage station is open *humming the tune of "let's all go to the lobby" (it's stuck in my head again lol)*

Murder Drones: Dispersion Of Alteration's

Ep 1 "The shot that rocked the world": We follow Uzi this time for the POV, going through the usual stuff until the divergence from canon, holy [Parental Advisory redaction], she did it! She managed to somehow send the murder drones away, judging by the screams not kill them but probably sent them far away, haha her gun worked! though she was indeed sure that it had something to do with the Emp part mixing with it, she'd have to figure that out later, for now, she was gonna have to go home, who cares if no one believes her, she dealt with a problem once, she can probably figure it out!

Ep 2 "to the beat of your core": Lizzy and others attempts to genuinely bully her were falling on deaf ears, which doll notices, she was too elated after the last day, and why wouldn't she, she did end up getting a talk from her dad about the inner workings of doors (okay so maybe some of the mechanisms could be useful for things other then doors, she'd figure out how to translate this into her works, it had been a while since they last talked, she wasn't gonna admit it, but it was nice) but along side that, doll said she wants to have a chat again after so long. Meanwhile the solver looms....it knows something happened... checking it's home base's systems....temporal anomaly? trying to regenerate the trio brings up an error of them being both out of range and admins been given to....tessa. welp, that's another past solvers problem now. well, she had always wanted to send out these two anyhow, one of them took long....a preserved human mind was quite the transfer anyhow.

Ep 3 "A Gala or a Prom?" So doll and uzi have a...very long chat...they ended up having a sleep over, doll's place was a bit of a mess but that's fine, still groggy, uzi sips some oil. which leaves doll a bit...perturbed and wid eyed...it takes a moment for uzi to register why as she fully wakes up...though still drinking the oil like its coffee as the solver symbol flickers in her hand and she slowly sets the knife down that doll was planning to use "do you wanna talk about our moms...or am I gonna end up like the rest of the suckers?" doll, knowing how her mother and nori were friends from somewhere before they came here, feels like they were restepping old ground in a a new way. Lizzy helps the two get ready, if they both were gonna be there, they were gonna have a theme, causing both to blush at the prospect. as the prom goes on, two new dd's watch from the shadows over the targets, designations? C and T and PSU. (tessa/T is in a war mechanic outfit in the dd body, just take her old interests and apply that to her outfit, C/Cyn is in surprisingly comfy clothes for a dd body, sweat pants, long sleeved sweater that ends, PSU...hey yeah, remember the poor sap who watched as his buddy got STABBED by james with a fork?? yeah this is him, acronym stands for Personal Security Unit, man is there to ensure the other two don't fall out of line and stay alive, wearing what is effectively a trench coat and a fedora)

Ep 4 "The Mothers final hope's broken": if nori and yeva saw them now, standing outside the very place that they hoped their children would never have to touch again to get answers? they'd both understand but still be mad that they did it, doll and uzi explore the area of the cabin's searching for answers. But while they do so, the new trio ambush them, leading to a brawl between the two solver users and the new trio within the snowy landscape, the duo having to get creative with their new powers

Ep 5 "Memories are where the info lie": after realizing they could regenerate from just about anything, doll and uzi, try to come up with a new plan, and the idea of probing memories comes up. oh boy are they gonna see the origin of their interesting powers from three different views, yippee :D

Ep 6 "deep breath's, Everyone!": after a long while of this new trio coming to terms with...all of that. Doll and uzi bringing them along for the adventure into the labs, more secrets shall be unlocked, sentinels....tessa....tessa please....tessa. fine that one can be your dingo, but only one! oh and beau and alice are here too btw, don't forget those wild cards heheheheh

Ep 7 "Cathedral Bells toll": "you look familiar, do I know you?" "yes. nori. solver...thought I needed to. be on the front lines." "cyn?! oh that complicates things...um less talk more running!" meanwhile doll and Uzi and the others are dealing with prototype experiments that never saw the light of day till now, they get separated and the solver gals continue despite it

Ep 8 "Crimson and indigo is a lovely combo shade for the sky": The big battle, things have changed, but also not really, two solver-crossed lovers are a bout to fight a eldritch beast and win!

and thus that closes the over arching au's caused by this Divergence

Some Murder Deer headcanons

oh nooo please don't get dragged into the deer AU haha... unless...

here's some headcanons & ideas I got while drawing these funky lil' cervidae! enjoy... I guess?!

The Deers in general

They're considered "fawns" until the age of 18 years, then they're "bucks" or "does". A gender neutral term does exist in their species - it's simply "cervi".

Their antlers break in (regardless of biological sex) between 15 and 17 years of age.

Antler size can be inherited, but they're mostly fairly small.

Fawns keep their fawn spots as late as 25 years of age. The longer they persist, the smaller the fawns usually are in "final" height. Uzi's e.g stayed until she was 25 and she's fairly small for her species.

Copper-9 & the Absolute Solver

The entire story sets place on an earth-like exoplanet that - similar to alot of xenofiction (e.g Guardians of Ga'hoole) - has one main race populating the planet (in this case, species of the cervidae family)

The Absolute Solver is an Eldritch Organism that is fascinated by the different kinds of mammals and species on exoplanets, slowly incooperating itself into different planets, imitating their populating species and slowly rotting the planet from the core until it is no more.

On Copper-9 it finds the many cervidae looking creatures, taking on the shape of a musk deer like entity (no antlers, sharp canines, for some reasons wants to devour flesh) - seeing how alot of the main individuals have antlers it develops a secondary obsession with antlers.

The AS incooperates the body of a deceased deer, Cyn, which it found rotting away in a forest. After taking the corpse and making it it's host body it found a small 'family' (herd) of deer which included Tessa, a young doe aged 20 that isn't opposed to welcome new indiviuals into the herd. Her parents however, the leading pair of the herd, do not agree and cast "Cyn"/AS aside.

Intruiged by Tessa's welcoming presence despite the herd's cold aura the AS slowly managed to gain her trust by meeting, playing the role of a young doe lost alone in this world ("Cyn") - and Tessa takes the bait easily.

Long yap session short story, the AS kills Tessa, eats her remains and removes her antlers to fuse them to itself, as well as parts of her fur to appear more like her, hoping it could "become" her in a twisted sense of identity seeking.

The Solvers emblem appears on the "users" forehead and they can use it to regenerate and telepathically carry things around with them. An infected user needs blood to sustain themselves as they'll throw up anything that isn't blood or flesh (for example, the deer on Copper-9 eat a plant based diet).

Solver Users/hosts also grow elongated canines and sharp teeth similar to "Cyn"/AS and it's musk deer body.

The Disassembly Squads

The AS creates the Disassembly "Drones" like it did in the OG story, shaping them after deer. Similar to the OG DDs their true eyes sit on their antlers while the ones in their faces are just to blend in (well... as much as they blend in looking like they do LOL).

The DDs are created from slaughtered members of Tessa's former herd, including N(ari), V(erika) and J(ane).

The DDs also have long canines and eat flesh. They're larger than normal deer and while not capable of flight (lack of wings) they're extremely agile and fast, able to quickly outmaneuver their prey.

N, V and J have fragmented memories of their former lives before being killed and rebuilt which do haunt them. J and V suffer the most from this, N is spared for the most part.

J was Tessa's best friend and almost-partner back before they were all slaughtered, and she still remembers this. "Cyn"/AS promises J to bring back Tessa if she does what it commands of her - trusting it to keep it's word. It doesn't. Doomed Yuri.

J is killed off fairly early by Khan when he chases them out of the forest as he manages to pierce her heart with his antlers, which does kill the DDs - usually alot of deer's antlers are too short, but Khan's cool, so he has very big ones. B)

Uzi & her family

They're now called "Doemans" (yes, you may slap me) - and live in a fairly protected herd away from most dangers in a hidden forest.

Nori was killed by N but returned as ghostly entity. She lost her eye in a battle with "Cyn" but was able to escape before being destroyed - she now serves as some sort of guardian for the Cathedral the humans once inhabited, wearing a cross she found as roseary around her neck; knowing it holds the key to kill the AS.

Khan raised Uzi alone and is the main leader of the herd, thus he's a BADASS in this AU. He won't hesitate to fight N when he tried to kill off Uzi, even being able to chase him off.

Uzi is a late bloomer in regards to her antlers - most fawns get them between the age of 15-17 years, Uzi still hasn't gotten her's at the age of 19 and feels extremely sensitive about this topic. Do not mention it unless you want her to cry internally. She gets mocked over this by some of the fawns in her age range. :'))

Khan doesn't allow Uzi to go outside of the forest's borders until her antlers grow in. She hates this - and sneaks out (only to meet N, V and J - whoops!)

Due to her missing antlers N doesn't really recognize her as prey, so he is friendly until V and J are like "dude that's still a deer?? fucking idiot??" and he's like "but she's so nice to me :'(("

That's when you run, Uzi. And have your dad fight N. And win. Because in this AU he doesn't suck!! >:(

Uzi gets the Solver from her mother like in the OG, where Nori is infected by "Cyn" during their fight. It activates during N's attack on her.

Other people

Doll also has her Solver in this AU! She and her family originate from a different part of Copper-9 and lived with different herds which is why their language differs from those in Khan's herd. They mainly got along by communicating through body language :D

Yeva & Nikolai, her parents, where killed by V when they attempted to leave the forest for food. Doll escaped because V didn't spot the fawn hiding in the tall grass - and this activated Doll's Solver. Ever since she's wandering about alone, trying to find a cure for herself. She also loses her eye in another quarrel later on.

Doll's fate is similar to the OG show with "Cyn" eating her corpse after killing her in a vunerable position.

Lizzy & Thad are also around and they're siblings! They're the first fawns in the herd to tag along with Khan to help and find Uzi. Lizzy is still the chattermouth she is in the show and Thad likes to be active. It's the deer ADHD. Their father is the teacher (who isn't a teacher to be exact in this AU... but something similar B))

Looking at the various comments of MD's finale, one recurring criticism I've seen is the show's treatment of J. That having her side with Cyn and be one of the baddies in need of defeat was a poor handling of her character. And to be frank, I get it. Like many, I was fully expecting J to turn against Cyn and join the heroes when it was revealed that it was her inside that space suit rather than Tessa. After all, Tessa was the one and only person that J seemed to have any genuine liking of, her closest friend if you will, so naturally she'd want revenge for her murder.

However, there's another side to this. Throughout her appearances, J has been characterised with one prominent quality above all, that being her unwavering deference and obedience of the higher authority figures in her life, such as the JC Jenson company. At this point in the story, Cyn is not only the one responsible for transforming J and the others into Disassembly Drones, but also the one who resurrects them after death. Whether J likes it or not, Cyn is undeniably the power in her life, and so, with her aforementioned willingness to go with whoever she sees as the top dog, it was probably inevitable that she'd stick by Cyn's side. She likely hates her a great deal for what she's done, but it's not in J's established character to rebel like it was for the likes of N or V.

And that sets up an interesting possibility for her now that Cyn is gone. We see in the show's end credits that J did indeed survive the final fight, and is in the process of repairing one of the drop ships so she can leave. Cyn is defeated, and humanity is gone as well, which means, for the first time in her life, there's nobody around to give her orders. She's going to have to figure out who she is and what she wants now that there's nobody above her in the pecking order to command her. That'll be a pretty interesting journey for her I'd wager 😊

Drone Control: after looking over this au, ideas were had.

Headcanon that what uzi found is that tessa found is alive in the hidden memory, though when they actually find her…tessa is a drone, though it looks like poor gal got shoved into one of the older models, and its very obvious she is NOT actively used to moving in a body like this, she still would be fascinated if she was in a modern one, but she’s been mainly just trying to keep herself sane, poor girl needs an update and maybe some lessons from cyn on “how the fuck do you use these feet”

I’d make it a point in this AU to focus on how it all feels, in comparison to being in a older model body to a newer model drone body, the newer models touch sensors are close to humans but the older model feels more like pinging and text analyzations on paper rather then actually feeling it.

Id also make it a point to have a cute scene of j, tessa, and uzi hanging all hanging out as they help tessa out to get updates and to learn her footing again, a bonding moment of joy, calm, and learning between the three….tessa happy to be helped, j seeing how well and how similar these two are (these are corporate liabilities but they are her corporate liabilities damn it), and uzi having appreciation for herself, being glad she decided to have a back-up plan and being glad to help someone like her get on their feet again metaphorically and literally.

Drone Control

I love the concept of the emergency drone body, especially as a means of keeping her alive and not left behind. She's probably somewhat use to it by the time the others find her, enough to look like a toddler at least.

The separation of touch would be such an alien and foreign concept that it would play well into the differences between human, early drone, and late drone bodies.

I love the scene you provided, it could lean into something more.

With the series finale of "Murder Drones" happening August 23rd, I'm really curious about what the character J is going to do because for all we know, she doesn't know that Tessa is dead and it's been really Cyn/the Absolute Solver this whole time.

J clearly cares about Tessa more than anyone and the Absolute Solver said that it wanted N, J and V to retain their personalities. Well:

Tessa and J certainly seem like besties and that J would do anything for her, so her actions of destroying ways off the planet that while bad, she'd still be willing to do it if Tessa ordered it; plus, with N and V being against the Absolute Solver, J likely would too, especially if she learned that Tessa is in fact dead. :(

J still refers to Tessa here as boss, so that hasn't changed, as well as her remaining obedient even if she is unsure about an order as she seemed confused to be asked to guard the ship. I know there is the chance that J is puzzled here because her guarding the ship wasn't part of the plan (if J's in on it and knows that's not really Tessa), but it's true too that her confusion could be from knowing that she's a great fighter but is now being sidelined. :/ Also, since the J we know here is a clone, there's every possibility that the Absolute Solver created her and only booted her up when they arrived at Copper 9, never taking off the suit and simply telling her everything that would help aid her plan like Cyn leaving Earth (because J doesn't mention that the Earth has been destroyed) and them arriving on Copper 9 in order to stop her plans. Admittedly, it's still a bit of a tossup on which way it could go, but I like the thought of J not knowing because of the grief, betrayal and rage she no doubt would have. Plus:

Just realized I can talk about my AUs on here so here is the most deranged swap au known to man

J swaps with Tessa

And Cyn swaps with the Absolute Solver

The solver as a drone isn't here but I'm gonna brief yall on a couple more characters before revealing Cyn's deal to build suspense.

When Tessa rose again as a zombie drone, she was badly hurt, and would have died again in days had Jade Elliot not saved her. She became obsessed with her rebirth and sought to understand the secrets of life and death, especially how they affected drones (she's so victor Frankenstein coded I love her).

This journey took her to a scrapyard where she met a runway drone who had modified herself with the trash there: Uzi (she was swapped with Alice in an early version of the au, so some remnants of that linger). Uzi has digitigrade legs, toe beans, purely cosmetic bug antenna, and IR and night vision. She's also kinda rusty. (Also uzi in this au takes some inspiration from @solroskajan's Rebel Or Runaway au go check her stuff out it's awesome.) The two engineers quickly become friends, and eventually Tessa brings N and V to meet Uzi. V falls in love at first sight, and immediately panics bc she doesn't want to be disloyal to N, who she hasn't even confessed to yet. Eventual Envuzi bc its my otp/ot3. Anyway back to crimes against nature.

Tessa is just as into the occult as in canon, so she's trying to summon demons and shit (with Uzi's help of course). Eventually she succeeds (and nearly disintegrates into a pile of rust in the process) and gives an entity known as The Ultimate Parasite a physical form.

The Parasite of the Ultimate Fertilizer, The Rot, The Inevitable Dawn: Cyn (she/it pronouns as is my general headcanon for her)(yes im projecting) is an eldritch goddess of death, time, and rebirth. She is based around the idea that destruction is just transformation and thus, is creation. Predation, parasitism, rot; smashing a statue with a hammer creates a pile of dust as surely as sculpting creates a statue. It has a fungal and parasitic wasp motif, and is, well, about the way you'd expect an eldritch goddess of time to act. She's distant, she's seen thousands of civilizations rise and fall and it Knows that everything is temporary, knows it surer than it knows anything else. Needless to say, having a conversation with it usually results in existential dread. If anyone draws her I would die (in a good way). All that's set for her appearance it's that it is Mushroom and has wasp mandibles.

Oh also I forgot to mention that Jade still does her buzzword gimmick from canon but sarcastically. Goodness she's so sarcastic.

Tessa James Elliot: Sad headcanons

Trigger Warning:child ab*se,child neglect,misstreatment,angst.

She was extremely pale and thin, a result of the anxiety and stress she felt every time her parents interacted with her.

Her wrists and ankles were always covered in cuts, scars, and bruises from being chained up so often and trying to free herself. It reached the point where even the slightest touch or movement caused her pain.

She developed a strong fear of the sound of metal clashing because it reminded her of the chains. Whenever she heard metal collide, she would panic.

Her father insulted her directly, calling her by degrading misogynistic insults(mostly the W word)

For even the smallest mistake or misstep she made, Louisa and James would punish her with more aggression.

They treated her like a servant and maid, just like the drones. They forced her to clean up after their late-night parties, clean the mess from their galas, set the table and serve dinner, and tidy up the chaos they themselves caused.

She never attended school or high school; her parents had her homeschooled with personal tutors. Tessa is very skilled in chemistry, mathematics, history, and literature, but she was stagnant when it came to handwriting and social squills.

It wasn’t just being chained; they also verbally and physically abused her. They would kick her, punch her, pinch her, pull her hair, slap her, whip her with belts, and hurl deeply hurtful words at her.

Louisa would hit her with her fan as a punisment.

Sometimes they punished her by denying her dinner (luckily, J would always sneak food to her so she wouldn’t go hungry).

There were times when they punished her by not allowing her to bathe, only to humiliate her later for her bad smell.

Once, Louisa gave her a horrible punishment and split her lip just because she caught her eating a cheesecake that belonged to her in the kitchen.

Her four drones—especially J—were the ones who comforted her when she cried from all the abuse. Well, Cyn would just silently watch her cry, still keeping that innocent smile on her mouth.

Her parents wanted to marry her off to the son of their business colleagues so that the Elliot family could produce another generation. This caused Tessa to scream and cry, but they would always silence her. In a way, Cyn saved her from this...
