Kay so I just watched The Gaslight District, and while I could comment on the story or premise, I loved the art direction way too much.

I love how they went with a green and purple palette. It adds a very sickly feel that compliments the gorey artstyle very well. They're also just REALLY great contrasting colors, which makes the purple blood of the people stand out really well against their green skin.

The animation really reminds me of Nickelodeon (or at least SpongeBob), weirdly enough? They even did the SpongeBob gag of a realistic and kinda gross closeup of a character. If it wasn't being produced by Glitch, I would've assumed it was a new Nickelodeon show aimed at an older audience. It's very different from their previous shows and honestly? It slaps.

Lastly, I just... really love how distinct the artstyle is. Everyone has GREAT shape language and everything just feels really dynamic and sharp. They also aren't afraid of giving their characters unappealing features, which is honestly the best thing about The Gaslight District.

So! Fun pilot. Hope to see more of it, if only to see more of the gorgeous art.

also I assume that Uzi not going to be happy with Cyn seeing as she was content with stealing her life, that’ll probably cause some friction between Uzi and N, Uzi wanting Cyn to leave the bunker when they get separated.

Hi!! I am indeed still working on it, but know that I work on a very irregular schedule based solely on vibes lmao. You can have this panel (minus all the dialogue) as a treat.

There's some very minor changes to her design, but it's not that big.

Also... Teehee! :33 There would indeed be a lot of tension. It's almost like Cyn and Uzi have conflicting interests, but N's trying to solve both of them...

Guy in my school cosplayed as HSR Aventurine for his prom and got nominated for prom king. I've never cheered harder in my life.

Unfortunately, the only pictures I have of their cosplay are distant photos of their back like some sorta bigfoot sighting.

Shadowy scarf guy. Testing out a sketchier style. Took way too long to finish though.

Alien gowrl. Was gonna make this into a comic, but the first frame was rlly funny to me.

Jade Valborg Ringmaster. I always describe her as preferring masculine clothing, but I can never find a suit that quite fits her. Plus, figuring out a different hairstyle that isn't her usual braid that matches said suit is a completely different obstacle...

Film Ghost. I'm still working on the style for monsters in my supernatural investigation story (tentatively named "S.I.G.N."). Took a page out of Awaria for their neon green ghosts, so maybe the regular people would have duller palettes?

Also his ribbon-like limbs are supposed to be film reels, but drawing all those dashes is... Way too much work to consistently draw.

Strawberry Mean Girl. Did this for an RP with a friend, but by god did designing this frustrate me. I need to work on drawing different body types and clothing that fit them.

Beta Loveta. I really wanted to push through with her purple and green palette, so I tried this + a few more with varying skin tones. I liked how this turned out, but it didn't quite fit the character. Maybe I'll use it elsewhere.

Candle Cake Girls. I thought it was fun how differently flames can be depicted, so I used it for this old OC of mine. Design's fun, so maybe I'll give it another shot.

DL: TigerHeart Lineup. Needed to work on this superhero team because they've been designless forever. Do I give them one uniform or one common color to establish they're on the same team? Or do I make them all different to show how they're a mish mash of people who stuck together because no one else wanted them? Should I make them furries?

More doodles of the previous characters, now featuring their leader: TigerHeart (guy on the left)! My main design philosophy is that if it's fun to doodle, it's good to me.

Vivian Lockett. Same character from the previous two drawings. Her power is basically connecting and disconnecting stuff, so I made wires as her main motif.
