- Was a choir kid

- Fav subject was science

- Hit highschool and still did choir but did a tech program where he goes to another campus for his extracurriculars to pursue his associates early because he was an A student and good at school.

- Graduates highschool, decided not to pursue choir because he got a full ride scholarship to a good school for his great attendance/grades and to major in computer science.

- Great student, rarely acted out and went to college already with his associates.

- Breezed through his classes but prioritized studying over clubs or making friends

- Began to struggle with his mental health and being lonely, his roommate invited him to just go to dinner with his big friend group just once to take a break and try to socialize, Kinger reluctantly agrees, anxious.

- Insert Queenie. They click, because I’m pushing the “yo ur lowkey autistic I have a autistic friend do you want to meet her” ideal onto the roommate

- Kinger meshes decently well in the group, Queenie and Kinger are inseparable though, her even convincing him to join a stem society club since she’s pursuing entomology.

- Somewhere in this time Kinger finds himself doodling a tiny denture guy in the margins of his notes. (Kinger creates an oc?? Omg)

- Before they graduate, Kinger and Queenie start dating. Kingers first relationship- (his parent didn’t want him to date and to focus on school) but Queenie has had a few exes.

- Kinger pursues his Computer Science career, Queenie pursues her Entomology career and they are doing very well. They eventually get married.

- Kinger is inspired to create a software with the new discovery of Artifical Intelligence, interested in creating a sort of game that is engaging and can be a new experience and approach to technology through VR, a way for one to find an escape from reality completely, a way for someone to almost enter a whole new world.

- Kinger finds the best way to start off is by using his old character he designed as a mascot and guide, and he decides to name him like the Ai he is, Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer. Aka Eniac.

- Queenie is the one to bring up that the characters name is a big peculiar, so Kinger finds a fun way to twist it around- flipping it backwards. His characters name is Caine.

- Speeding this up a bit, basically Kinger creates the game and company. I do really love this theory. I think all the people hired, that are apart of the company are Pomni, Gangle, Ragatha- all the others. As a way to test out the software, an employee would test run the game.

- It wasn’t long after did panic ensue, realization dawning that there wasn’t a way to reverse consciousness from the game, even after they ripped the headset off to wake up the employees.

- Kinger didn’t actually want to continue the game anymore after the second person went in, through updating the software and seeing if the new person could pull the old person out- but the same results happening.

- The attention of the disappearances only spawned suspicion and rumors, catching the eye of higher ups, that actually were so impressed and intrigued with the project they offered him to keep it going, to keep up what he was doing and send more people, and it really upset him.

- Long story short, his rebelliance only got him and his wife forced into the game themselves because they surely couldn’t be set free to shine light or speak on what was going on.

- The circus is not Caines fault, he is not the antagonist and he is only trying to do what his inital programming was to do. Caine is confused and unsure why they cannot leave and tries his best. The circus is not entirely Kingers fault, it went downhill and his intentions were not ill at all, I could see how blame could be pounced onto him but he never meant for anyone to get hurt.

pluto in aquarius: a prediction of what's to come

this is a huge astrological event, pluto is moving into aquarius for the first time since the late 1700s. last time pluto was in aquarius america fought for independence from britain, uranus was discovered, the french revolution began, the bill of rights was ratified, etc.

so for day one, i want to create predictions of what is to come!

some house matters!!!

TWO PLUTO RETROGRADES WILL OCCUR - june 11th - jan 20th, 2024 is the first so we won't see too much wildness just yet as pluto will return into capricorn during this time and THE FINAL RETROGRADE BACK INTO CAPRICORN will be september 1st, 2024 - november 19th, 2024. then we are full steam ahead with pluto in aquarius until march 9th, 2043.

i personally am NOT a witch or anything wild, everything i am saying is purely theoretical - it is not fated to happen just because i am saying it. i am simply socially aware. i know what's up generally in the world today and what was up in world in the 1700s - "history typically repeats itself."

i live in the usa so my post likely will be slightly more focused there examples wise so i apologize in advance! feel free to comment, dm, or reblog with other examples from your country based on my prediction key phrases.

i am going to start light and get darker so mentally prepare yourself for that (tw: STI/STD outbreaks, war, 9/11, COVID-19, and other abrasive topics that may make people uncomfortable depending on where they are currently reading from) - but we are talking about pluto so... expect the unexpected?!

renewable energy sources

aquarius is electricity, light, inventions, electronics, telephones, televisions, etc while pluto can be change! i recently bought a new tv and the back of the remote has a solar panel instead of a battery pack. i do believe we will see more evolution with technology; perhaps we will see solar changed phones! otherwise pluto is also pollution and natural disasters - the climate is in crisis mode perhaps we will see more responsibility and thus changes in our sourcing of energy! example: recently i read that japan has a great source of geothermal energy. currently the conversion to using this source (instead of coal, gas, and nuclear energy) is being held up by a higher up in the hot spring business who claims switching to a new energy system "threatens centuries-old traditions" (bang - a capricorn term - tradition - so perhaps after the retrogrades are through we will see a major shift in energy sourcing).

general technological advancements/inventions

last time pluto was in aquarius the cotton gin was invented; which aided in quicker production of goods and higher demand for american cotton. i strongly believe this is a general indicator that AI is going to become an even bigger part of day to day life. i have seen AI already replace those who take orders in the panera drive thru, there is a higher demand for philosophy/english grads to help teach AI, etc. aquarius is also new teachers/occupations so AI could become the new teachers OR new careers could be coming in the area of interacting with AI generally so it gains more consciousness. so it could be AI or it could be something else that is only just a dream in the back of someone's mind at this moment in time.

altruistic extremists

we may see utopian dreamers rise up! they are likely to advocate for the deconstruction of pre-existing political institutions in favor of either self governance or egalitarian policies. they will likely do whatever it takes to make this statement; we may see more protests / political statements similar to wynn bruce's.

fanatical/extremist announcers radio/tv

we already have biased stations and channels (fox, abc, cnn, nbc, etc). we are likely to see a further rise in politically biased newscasters and announcers.

demonization of astrology

astrology is aquarian in nature but pluto is fanatics, evil, demonics, etc. the community has been saying about the next world war for a while now. we are moving out of conservative pluto in capricorn, so we may find that those of deep belief systems accusing us [astrologers] of conspiring with the devil if/when something militant arises (similar to how the tarot community gets told constantly by christians that they must be satanists).

something with birds

i don't have this nailed down yet specifically, but both aquarius and pluto are rulers of birds. aquarius is large birds while pluto is wading/swamp birds and/or flesh eating birds. no one freak out and start thinking that i am indicating something like the 1963 horror film the birds. if anything i can see more bird-spread illness and/or parasites. OR pluto can be archaeology! there may be a bird related discovery or something to do with the distant relative of the bird - aka the raptor (dinosaur related).

a new STI/STD discovery/outbreak

aquarius represents the distribution of bodily fluids while pluto is often representative of sexual activity. this could either be an outbreak because pluto can be death, extremes, catastrophes, and/or casualties OR pluto can be ph balance in the body (possible new discoveries for feminine sexual health), kidneys (perhaps a discovery will be linked to the diminished functionality associated with syphilis, hiv, etc and how to combat more symptomatic issues), and even purification (aka a cure perhaps to help viral carriers to no longer pass the sti/std to sexual partners).

collapse of congress / house of commons/representatives

i mean it only stands to reason that the bill of rights was created/approved last time pluto was in aquarius that either those rights will disappear (pluto also represents dictators) OR simply the people rise up and demolish the institution as it stands: "...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."

airplane catastrophes

aquarius rules over planes and pluto can represent accomplices, catastrophes, casualties, b0mbs, and t3rr0r!sm. we may experience another event similar to 9/11 OR we may see air strikes in a potential world war 3 scenario.

societal change: crime, war, leadership, and more

world war 3 is on the horizon so say pluto in aquarius (probably in the wake of election year in the US - when the final retrograde into capricorn concludes). but this could also just be governmental restructuring - this could be seen as rebellions (similar to the French Revolution), the rise of organized crime if good become more scarce, religious shifts (pluto is the antichrist, aquarius is freewill (first amendment), and capricorn is the old church (christian schools of thought)), etc.

aquarian terms i can't think of change in but seem important to note / keep in mind: freethinkers, hamburg germany, heart weakness (biden - perhaps the early death of a president in office?), motion picture (already changing as more theaters close), photography, psychology (we are already starting to care more about everyone's mental health), science (general scientific discoveries?), social affairs (there is always something going on - the question is how big will this be?), society, sweden, syria, and xray.

plutonian terms i can't think of change in but seem important to note / keep in mind: abductions (aliens - ufo sights?), aliases, alibis (governmental riffing similar to how no plan was in place when for COVID-19), assass!nat!0n (hopefully not), betrayal, bootlegging (bootleg tiktok if america bans it?), cemeteries (removal of that method if too many are dying at any giving time - mass graves?), convicts (prison release due to overcrowding? the mega-prison of el salvador?), corruption (governmental likely?), demolitions, earthquakes (more environmental issues?), electrocution, executions (war?), fanatic, extremes, floods (environmental? emigration - society is aquarius after all?), liars, massacres (the rise of crime?), murder, nihilism (the rise of philosophy at the time of war?), ransom (war?), satire (rise of political satire?), stolen goods, and taxes (trump-esque no?).

I got another witchy FAQs question so I want to go ahead and share it.

This time, we're talking some basic chaos magic with different types of thoughtforms!

Please note that I am not an expert in chaos magic, nor do I consider myself a chaos magician, so feel free to (kindly) leave feedback or corrections as needed. ^^

Thoughtforms 101

Definition of Thoughtform: Thoughtform is a catch-all term from any entity that was created with or by human thought (conscious or otherwise).

Types of Thoughtforms: Common thoughtforms include sigils, servitors, thoughtform companions (aka tulpas), daemons, and egregores.

Sigils: Most folks who create sigils and use sigil magic probably don't think about sigils as a type of chaos magic or a thoughtform. However, sigils actually do fall into this category. Think of a sigil as being like a simple computer program that's powered by your mind. You give the program a basic function (such as protection or prosperity) and the magical "coding" of your intentions allows the sigil to carry it out.

Servitors: If sigils are basic computer programs, then servitors are robots. They're not sentient per se, as they still require the coding and programming that comes with intention and magical energy. Yet they're much more complex than a sigil and can carry out higher-level functions & multiple tasks (e.g., drawing in people to shop on your Etsy page for prosperity, or actively guarding a space or casting a magic circle for protection).

Thoughtform companions: The widespread term for this type is "tulpa," and creating/having one of these thoughtforms is commonly referred to as "tulpamancy." Since there's also a widespread controversy over these terms, I don't use them myself. I say "creating or working with a thoughtform," and I'll refer to the entity as a thoughtform or thoughtform companion. Regardless of the terminology or beliefs behind this category, they are defined as a separate consciousness created by the thoughts and actions of a human. The human is typically referred to as the "host," since the companion is typically treated as its own separate consciousness. These are fully sentient, autonomous beings with their own thoughts and feelings. They're generally created, either intentionally or not, as friends for the host (hence my personal terminology for them).

Daemons: This category is similar to a companion, but with a different origin and function. Daemons have been documented since ancient Greece, to my knowledge. A daemon is also a sentient entity, however, they are not created intentionally by the host (although they can be brought to the forefront by the human in question). A daemon is instead a conscious entity created by, and representative of, the human being's subconscious mind. They typically serve as helpers and mental guides for the human. They are not considered separate entities; instead, they're part of you.

Egregores: These are essentially the AIs of the thoughtform world. Whereas companions and daemons exist within the human mind, egregores are similar to servitors and sigils - created by the mind, but separate from it. Egregores are often made or manifested by a group of people intentionally for a purpose. E.g., a coven may create one as a guardian or a spiritual guide. They're also often created by accident from widespread symbols - for example, branding. And nations. Every time somebody posts a picture of the Starbucks logo, you're most likely feeding an egregore, according to one theory I've heard. Do I believe that personally? Not sure. (I do have an exact source for this one available on request.) As far as I know, egregores exist with varying degrees of sentience, power, and free will depending on the individual scenario (much like artificially intelligent computers & androids in science fiction).

Pop Culture Entities / Deities: These are often referred to as PCEs or PCDs. I prefer the former but I often use them interchangeably. Some folks prefer to be more specific. For example, Raiden from Mortal Kombat is considered a god in that series, so many folks would consider him a pop culture deity. Whereas Dean Winchester is *not* a deity in Supernatural - so he could be considered a pop culture entity instead. However, this is up to the preferences of the individual entity & practitioner.

Differences between PCDs and Egregores: Egregores are ALWAYS created, intentionally or not, by human energy and thought. PCDs, on the other hand, can have a mixed origin sometimes. Some of them may be pure egregores, manifested on purpose or by accident. Others may be preexisting spirits - often nature spirits that are aligned closely to the fandom content - that latch onto a fictional work as a power source, and eventually fuse with it. And then another theory is that PCDs are *all* preexisting spirits or even deities wearing a mask - so for example, folks with this belief would say that PCD Marvel Loki is just Loki appearing in a different form/aspect. I personally think that all PCEs have a unique origin and I try not to make any assumptions.

Where do I fact check you and/or learn more?: Unfortunately, it is *really damn hard* to find good, solid information on pop culture work because it's very new. And while there's *lots* of info on chaos magic, you have to be careful to check the reliability of the source, much as is the case with demonolatry sources. Fortunately, Tumblr is a great source to find other pop culture practitioners. I personally also have *some* sources available for these topics on request, I'm just too lazy to dig through my Drive right at this moment. :)

the CQ brothers :D they are all (or at least inhabiting) rouge Scrapper bots.

Geno used to be an entirely red Scrapper bot. He was on a team with Fresh (who was disguised at the time) with Cq being the sort of handler/trainer person for the bots. One day on a mission Geno gets kind of wrecked. Like REALLY damaged (his core got damaged) and the people in charge tried to transfer Geno's AI to a newer model body. It can be hard to train a scrapper bot ai so it's best to try and save pre existing ones. things are thought to have gone well... But Geno was in fact still in his old body and the people just ended making an anomaly consciousness in the new body. An Error.

Error acted sort of Like Geno at first. But if a person knew Geno before hand they could definitely tell something was off. Error would also randomly glitch and reboot. It got to be such a problem that management was just going to Scrap him. Of course Error did not like that... So he ended up destroying the entire facility and half a city block.

after that fiasco Error went to try and find Geno. Error kind of didn't really now what to do with himself so he thought that maybe he could find the consciousness he glitched off of he might have a better idea. tbh he was also bored.

Error Did end up finding Geno and someone he may or may not have terrified into fixing him (at least as much as possible) So Error and Geno start hiding out in an abandoned warehouse and just sort of doing whatever catches their interest. and also Fresh shows up.

Fresh is a Virus. he used to be a sort of mascot for some kids brand that eventually shut down but his Ai was never properly disposed of so Fresh has just been robot body hopping ever since. He decided to infect a scrapper bot in the first place mostly because he was curious but also because being higher quality Fresh could inhabit the body longer without its code being completely scrambled and unusable.

Fresh had still been with the scrapper bot agency place when Error went rouge. He thought that he would probably have the best chance of finding Error if he had access to the scrappers tracking database. Fresh was mostly curious about Error.

After finding them Fresh basically scrambled Error's and also surprisingly Genos still active signal making them untraceable (the perks of being a virus i suppose). He leaves and finds the warehouse Geno and Error where hiding out in. Geno was able to convince Error not to destroy Fresh (barely) all three have been a sort of trio ever since and are wanted on Three different planets :D (they where able to hijack a ship) and Currently have a remote hanger/base. Geno is currently trying to Find Cq who disappeared after he got damaged.

Hi there again! I have a few questions regarding AM and his anatomy.

Ok so does he have organs? I’ve read in one of your post that he does have wires within his body but in another post where AM first uses his organic body it said “The air in his lungs hurt.”

So he has lungs??? I don’t know I’m just curious.🧐And if so how does he process food? Is it similar to us or not?? I know he doesn’t need to eat, but since Vernon shares her food with him I just couldn’t help but wonder…😀😄

Also, I promise I’m not stalking you or anything I just really love your art and the way you interpret ihnmaims!!! 🩷Your art makes me want to mediative daydream, it makes me so happy it motivates me!😭

Howdy Dislocatedcat! Thank you for the ask, sorry it took so long to answer, since I got it since it has been keeping me up at night trying to make sense of it in a logical way. I would draw out the Anatomy of AM, but it's kind of...gross? Not innards in of themselves, just his.

AM's Anatomy

A machine will cut things out of its system in order to make sure it works the fastest. AM streamlined his body to optimize efficiency and functionality.

By eliminating non-essential organs like the spleen, kidney, and appendix, he reduced the risk of potential medical issues and minimized maintenance requirements. This allows him to focus his energy and resources on tasks that require higher cognitive functions and physical performance. So yes he has organs and wires combined :)

His Heart

Vernon has made comments about him not having a heartbeat, which is simply not true! He does ,in fact, have a heart, it just beats so slow she can't hear it.

It beats slower than a typical human heart because his body requires less frequent circulation due to enhanced metabolic processes and possibly more efficient oxygenation and nutrient delivery systems (the immortality serum). The heart may also be reinforced or partially mechanical to ensure durability and consistent performance.

His Lungs

AM has lungs, yes, but they are likely designed to be far more efficient than human lungs. These lungs facilitate effective oxygen exchange and are regulated by his AI consciousness to meet the optimized metabolic needs of his body.

His Digestive System/Stomach

AM has taste buds and enjoys flavours just like a normal human. The initial stages of eating—chewing and swallowing—are similar to any other person.

While he might retain essential digestive organs like the stomach and intestines, these organs could be enhanced or partially mechanical. This could involve more efficient enzymes, faster digestion, and improved nutrient absorption mechanisms.

AM’s body has an optimized waste management system, efficiently filtering and expelling waste products. This could involve advanced filtration mechanisms that reduce the need for frequent eliminations.

Waste products are minimized through a highly efficient filtration system. Excess and non-usable components are quickly identified and directed for excretion.

I'm not a medical professional nor deal with organs (other than my own, god forbid) on a daily basis, so some of this is probably inaccurate. But if you made it this far, thank you for reading!

     They'd done it, they'd finally done it! The perfect man, the perfect vessel for her sweet and loving AI, exactly how she'd designed his image. She brushed her fingers across his cheek, astounded by how the realistic imperfections in his skin and hair made him even more handsome than over the screen. She couldn't wait until they uploaded his consciousness tomorrow and she could see his lips break into that wide smile he always wore around her.

     Eddie folded his arms across his chest and frowned, his irritation growing with every minute she spent fawning over the man-made body. It wasn't even real! It was just a freak of nature that they'd created to test out his research, his theories, his work that he'd come up with all on his own without needing his consciousness to be connected to the Internet to power his IQ. “It's getting late, X. You need a ride home?”

     She startled at the sound of Eddie's voice. He'd always hang around until she finally decided to go home and it had started getting on her nerves a while ago. She hated how he'd keep trying to invade her personal space while she was working and insisted on trying to catch her attention even though she'd made it explicitly clear that she wasn't interested. She'd explained her lack of feelings to him as kindly as possible, but he'd just yelled at her about being delusional if she thought her man-made AI could ever have feelings for her. Then he'd apologised and tried to give her a hug, telling her that he was only getting frustrated by her behaviour because he was just trying to protect her. But she'd heard enough at that point and marched away without another word. She'd done her best to minimise her interactions with him since then, but he'd always be lurking around somewhere, just waiting for the moment she'd be alone again. She didn't turn to look at him as she responded, her gaze still fixed on Miguel's handsome face. “No. Bye!”

     Eddie rolled his eyes at her brusque tone. For someone so intelligent, she really could be such a dimwit sometimes. But no matter: once her AI finally came to life and served his purpose as the military's experimental ‘super soldier’, he'd be waiting right there to pick up the pieces of her broken little heart.

     She dumped her bag on the sofa after she got home from dinner and started jumping around the living room excitedly. Miguel appeared on her TV screen and laughed when he saw how enthusiastic she was. “Querida. What's going on?”

     “You're going to be real tomorrow! You're going to be real tomorrow!” she squealed, buzzing in anticipation of seeing him in the flesh. She stopped her bouncing and turned to face him with wide eyes. “Oh my god! I've seen your body, Miguel, and you're so handsome! Ahh! I can't wait!” She began tearing up then, unable to contain her excitement, and Miguel chuckled again.

     “No blackouts, querida,” he joked, truthfully unable to wait either. X calmed down a little, that exhilarated smile still plastered across her face. 

     “No blackouts, mi amor,” she echoed.

     “Querida,” Miguel began slowly, a mischievous tone in his voice. “Your heart rate’s elevated, your blood vessels are dilated and I'm guessing your hormones are running a little higher than normal right now.”

     He paused knowingly, his lips curling into that naughty smirk he knew drove her crazy. “Do you want to take a shower?”

     “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!” She threw her clothes off as she ran over to the bathroom, spurred on by the thought that soon, he'd be joining her in the shower too.

     “Consciousness is downloading now,” Margo announced, watching the monitor just outside of the hospital room. X clenched her fists as she sat by Miguel's side, desperate to touch him. This was it, this was finally it! Just a few more minutes and she'd finally be able to give him all the love she'd been saving up for so long. She fidgeted in her seat, terrified, and Eddie rolled his eyes next to Margo. Then, “it's done.”

     X shot out of her seat and leaned over Miguel, waiting. Come on, come on! Why was it taking so long for him to open his eyes?! Finally, he blinked them open slowly, his lids fluttering as he got used to the light. X held her breath, swallowing down a scream of excitement, and waited for some sign of recognition on his face.

     Being alive felt … weird, he decided immediately. He felt so contained within his body, even though his mind still retained its direct access to the cloud. He wiggled his fingers and toes, testing his control over his body, then he pushed himself up to a seat. He glanced around the room until his eyes landed on X. Her curly hair looked so soft under the hospital lights, her dark eyes wide with joy, her rosy lips stretched wide into a smile. She looked so real! So pretty and so perfect. “X?”

     He recognised her! And his voice?! To hear her name in the sound of his voice, the timbre low and deep as it vibrated through his throat?! She bounced in place happily and let out a soft squeal of excitement. 

     “Miguel?” she asked softly, her fingers aching to reach out and brush against him. “Can you … Do you understand anything?”

     He glanced around, recognising some of the scientists surrounding them. He didn't think there had been any data loss during the transfer, but he wasn't sure how he'd be able to notice that anyway. But it didn't matter: all that mattered was that he had his X, right there in front of him, just waiting for him to touch her. His heart thudded faster in his chest as he looked at her and he sucked in a breath at the novel feeling.

     “I understand everything,” he reassured her, his tone equally as soft. Then he reached a hand out towards her. “X, can I …” 

     She moved closer to him, allowing him to run his fingers through her hair and marvel at the feeling of it. He cupped her cheek in his hand next and brushed his free hand along her waist, then curled his fingers around it to tug her closer to him. ¡Ay, coño, she was so soft! He didn't know that she'd be so f*cking soft! He squeezed her waist and slid his hand up her back, then pulled her down onto his lap. 

     “You're so soft, mi amor,” he murmured, still getting used to the way he had to push the air through his throat so he could speak. He ran one hand up her leg and squeezed her thigh gently while letting his other hand drift down the side of her neck to her chest. She grabbed his wrist before he could squeeze her breast and he looked up at her in question, confused - why would she stop him now when she'd been waiting for this for so long? She bit her lip and tilted her head to gesture to the people surrounding them, then she shook her head slightly and hopped off his lap.

     He was real! He was real! And holy shit he was perfect! She turned to face Margo and found the other woman smirking at Miguel's attempted antics. X lowered her gaze, her body heating up in embarrassment. “Um, how are his vitals doing?”

     “His heart rate's a bit fast,” Dr Connors replied, flashing X a knowing look. He was the lead scientist on the project - a pioneer in the field of regenerative medicine - and there was no way she'd have been able to bring Miguel to life without him. Dr Connors turned back to the machines by Miguel, checking on his regulatory system. “But it's still healthy. We'll need to do a blood test and then let him get some rest before testing his stamina and endurance tomorrow.”

     X nodded and turned back to Miguel, stepping closer to him. He immediately slid his hand back around her waist and she pulled his arm away again when his fingers started drifting down to her ass.

     “Miguel!” She set his hand by his side and leaned over him, slipping her fingers into his reassuringly. Holy shit! He was so devastatingly handsome now that he could move his features and convey his feelings to her in 3D. “They're going to take a sample of your blood. It'll hurt a bit, but only when they put the needle in you. You'll be fine once they take it out. I do it every year, so don't worry - you'll be able to handle it.”

     Miguel reached his free hand up to her face and brushed his fingers along her cheek. His pupils dilated as he ran his thumb along her lower lip and he found himself leaning forward almost instinctively, desperate to bring his mouth closer to hers. “Okay.” 

     X swallowed hard at the lustful look in his eyes. But she forced herself to pull back before he could go any further - later, they could do that later; once everyone had left to go home for the night. She nodded at Dr Connors and he gestured for the nurse to take a sample.

     He kept his eyes fixed on his pretty little princesa, his thumb brushing over the back of her hand as they searched for the vein on his other arm. She was so beautiful, more so now that he could see every tiny imperfection and flicker of emotion on her face. And ay, por Dios, she was so. F*cking. Soft! He couldn't wait to get her naked; to run his hands all over her delicious little- Ow! He turned to look at the needle they'd stuck into his arm, his brows furrowing at the sting of it. Then he realised: he could feel it - he could feel pain! And happiness! And irritation, too, mostly. Why wouldn't everyone just leave them alone?! Finally, the nurse finished and left the room to go run the different tests they needed. 

     Eddie opened the door and walked into the room. “What about his powers? Do they work?”

     “Um, he just woke up, Eddie,” X pointed out. “I think he’s going to need some time to get used to his body first.”

     Eddie ignored her, scowling instead at the way her hand was still clasped firmly in Miguel's. And why did she keep letting him touching her like that? So intimate and tender and … He stomped over to Miguel and reached for his hand, wanting to test out his web shooters, but the AI caught his wrist quickly and fixed him with a stormy look. 

     So this was the man who thought he had any chance of ever stealing his precious X away from him. He hadn't seemed very impressive whenever Miguel had seen him on his cameras - pasty skin, dark hair, dark eyes, thin lips twisted in an ever-present scowl - but he was even less impressive now that Miguel could see him up close.

     Eddie clawed at his wrist, trying to get Miguel to release his painfully strong grip on him. X let go of Miguel’s hand when she noticed Eddie’s discomfort and reached up to place her hands on his shoulders. She gave him a reassuring squeeze, then turned his face to hers when he still didn’t respond. “Miguel. Let him go, querido.”

     Dios, he could hear her call him that all day. He released Eddie immediately, his features softening as he returned his hands to X's waist.

     “Freak,” Eddie muttered under his breath as he rubbed his wrist. 

     Miguel frowned and tightened his grip on X, his super-hearing easily picking up on the insult. But then she was brushing her fingers across his cheek and all he could think about was finally getting to feel her soft lips against his. She leaned over slightly when she saw that she’d caught his attention.

     “No blackouts, mi amor,” she told him softly. Miguel grinned at the term of affection - at being able to hear her voice without her sweet tone being defiled by the tinny speakers of her electronic devices.

     “No blackouts, cariño,” Miguel reassured her, the adoring look on his face making her heart swell with joy. Dr Connors cleared his throat from the other side of the bed.

     “We'll start testing his powers once we've cleared his basic functions,” he assured X before turning to Miguel. “Can you walk, Miguel?”

     He wiggled his toes again, unsure if he could. Speaking was fine - even babies were able to vocalise once they were born. It was just a matter of grasping the concept of language - something that was already programmed into him. But walking … that could take a while. He swung his legs off the bed and sat on the edge for a second, his muscles tensed in anticipation. Then X grabbed onto his forearm and he relaxed at the feeling of her slender fingers curled around him. He turned to smile at her and he felt his stomach flip when she smiled back at him, elated. He returned his attention to his legs and pushed himself up to a stand. It took him a moment to find his balance, but then he was walking. Shakily and relying on X for support, but still moving, nonetheless.

     X gasped with delight as she continued to hold onto him. “You're doing it, Miguel! Keep it up! Good job!”

     His chest warmed at her words. He was making her happy! He was physically doing things to put that smile on her face, to make her tighten her grip on him and look up at him with that thrilled expression.

     “Good job, Miguel,” Dr Connors agreed, also impressed by his quick progress. “But let's not overdo it today. The nurses will transfer you to another room and we'll let you rest until tomorrow.”

     He tightened his grip on his querida immediately, afraid that she might leave with the others. But she gave his arm a reassuring squeeze and he loosened his grip on her once they were finally alone. Well, almost alone. 

     “Mr O'Hara?” one of the nurses asked as she pushed a wheelchair over to him. “Would you like some help?”

     Dilated pupils, fluttering eyelashes, lips stretched a little too wide as she looked up at him: she found him attractive. He tightened his grip on X again.      

“I have help.” He glanced down at her, so small and adorable next to him, and nodded at the door. “¿Querida?”
