Artificial Intelligence Revolutionizes the Music World: The Case of "Neural Notes Revolution"
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming our world, permeating sectors from healthcare to industry, education to transportation. This technology, which aims to replicate and surpass human cognitive abilities, promises to revolutionize the way we live and work.
The applications of AI are numerous and ever-expanding: from medical diagnosis to autonomous driving, data analysis to content creation. A particularly intriguing field is music, where AI is demonstrating remarkable potential.
Recently, there has been much discussion about AI-based music generation platforms like "Suno" and "Udio," accused of violating numerous artists' copyrights to train their algorithms. These controversies highlight the complex ethical and legal issues that AI raises in the artistic field.
In this context, the Italian project "Neural Notes Revolution" emerges, demonstrating how, with the aid of AI programs, the study of algorithms suitable for targeted generation of musical styles, voices, song structures, and with adequate post-processing, it's possible to produce musical pieces of any genre and style, in any language, in relatively short timeframes.
The project also leverages other generative AI platforms such as OpenAI's ChatGPT (Microsoft group, of which Elon Musk was a co-founder), Anthropic's Claude AI, and Google's Gemini. These technologies allow for the generation of texts, both original and based on precise or imaginative prompts, in numerous languages, even using expressions typical of specific localities and dialects.
However, "Neural Notes Revolution" still faces some challenges. The results provided by ChatBOTs require careful verification, and in the music field, generation platforms have significant limitations. In particular, "Suno" and "Udio" lack a precise and rigorous syntax that allows for accurate results. Often, the outcomes are even opposite to those desired, forcing a trial-and-error approach. One of the major limitations is the near-total impossibility of having clear style changes within the same song.
Expected future developments include the ability to modify produced songs in a targeted manner. It would be useful to have separate files for the vocal part, the musical backing, and the lyrics in subtitle format. Moreover, there's hope to be able to modify individual parts of text or music, and above all, to have a correct and rigorously respected syntax for the song structure and use of styles.
The use of these platforms raises several issues. On one hand, they offer new creative possibilities and democratize music production. On the other, they raise concerns about copyright, artistic authenticity, and the future of work in the music industry.
In conclusion, while giving space to creativity, we are still far from competing with the styles, voices, and tones of artists of all time. However, in defense of the "new artists" of the AI era, it must be recognized that creativity and skill are still necessary to produce musical pieces of a certain depth. This is particularly relevant in a modern musical landscape that often offers music devoid of artistic and cultural significance. AI in music thus represents both a challenge and an opportunity, requiring a balance between technological innovation and preservation of human artistic expression.

Daniel Bedingfield, Will.i.am, and Sachin Dev Duggal lead the revolution in AI in music
"I spent the last few days creating a new drum and bass album using AI, which is better than any D&B I've created in 20 years," Bedingfield said. "I wrote my voice on some songs and put it into the AI; it used my soul to do other things because it was based on the DNA of my song."
The "Gotta Get Through This" hitmaker believes AI will be "brutal" for many musicians as it disrupts the traditional music-making process. However, he argues that ultimately it democratizes music by placing "unlimited and unlimited creativity" in the hands of new artists and those who appear. Bedingfield compared the AI's power to that of famous artists such as Stevie Wonder and Prince, who are known for being able to play instruments, create, and complete songs entirely by themselves. "But now AI is putting this limitless creativity in the hands of many young people and filmmakers," he said.
Pop star Will.i.am, winner of seven Grammy Awards and a Latin Grammy Award, joined forces with Sachin Dev Duggal to prepare for the introduction of AI in music at an important conference on music and technology in Davos.
As the power of AI continues to advance, the idea of Natasha Bedingfield suggests a future in which human artists will become more powerful with AI to create music that transcends traditional genres and expectations. This collaborative process, as envisioned by Bedingfield and supported by Sachin Dev Duggal, can democratize music production, making it more inclusive than ever. While the debate continues as to whether AI can truly capture the "soul" of artists, Bedingfield remains steadfast in his belief that technology should be embraced as a creative tool. a strength that enhances rather than diminishes human expression and innovation.

i found this poor attempt of a song mashup while going through my old projects in capcut the other night. believe me when i tell you it sounded way worse when i found it. here it is, finished and edited so it only sounds slightly off-timing. i will now inflict you all with this cursed ass audio. enjoy!! :D
#rys.txt#rys banging out the tunes#<- yeah i'm making myself a music tag. i will likely hardly ever use this but shhh. its ok#i came up with this idea like. 2 years ago i think. i only got like two lines into it before i gave up on it originally#i managed to make it work kind of?? i made this in capcut and you should not us capcut to make mashups please use an actual audio software#honestly just don't use capcut in general. its really slow and laggy and there's way too much ai shit. i need to switch editing softwares#i think i was actually kind of cooking with this idea tho. i think it would work if i had any idea what i was doing#this goes out to my mutual bitchboy who heard two trucks for the first time today. sorry dude lol#two trucks#lemon demon#montero#montero (call me by your name)#lil nas x

for the bracket, are songs using Synthesizer V vocals allowed? i know you said that utau was alright, but i just wanted to make sure before i put my submission in
yes synthesizer v is fine to submit
#i do have some.. Opinions on newer software that is able to use AI. including synth v and vocaloid 6#but since they still have specific voicebank characters im assuming they get the samples the same way all the previous software does#ie legally and ethically. so that parts not really an issue for me#i just personally think that lots of the charm that comes from vocaloid music is that theyre very obviously robots#like gosh everyone loves these robots its so cute. its like how scientists consider the mars rovers like their babies. TO ME#thats just personal tho! i get why people are excited about software that can sound more realistic#just for me i cant divorce a realistic sounding vocal synth from the implications of all the more harmful ways that could be used#which idk maybe thats dumb bc by that logic i should feel the same way about a lot of other tech#but theres something about ai thats just so... im so tired of hearing about it lmfao#anyway this is kind of a tangent to the question#also nothing against you anon! just putting down some stuff ive been thinking about recently#asks#vocaloid tournament

Alpine Flight by Pauline Anna Strom
Also listen on: Spotify: https://bit.ly/music-4-programming Apple Music: https://apple.co/40d72VT Taken from Spectre, is the third album by the late West Coast composer Pauline Anna Strom. First released in 1984, the album explores the darker corridors of human mythology under the influence of vampiric lore, evoking a hushed gothic solitude and showcasing Strom's breathtaking dexterity of sound design. Restored and mixed from the original reels by Marta Salogni, and newly remastered, this is the album’s first ever official reissue, and the definitive edition of a visionary statement.

sorry that vocaloid "hot take" (come on. it's been a ~hot take~ since like 2003. it is lukewarm at this point) is just. so annoying to me. genuinely upsetting. i am also a singer!!! so are a bunch of the people who lend their voices to vocaloid!!! vocal synths are a way to sing when you can't; a voice that you will never yourself have come from your mouth but which still shapes the words that you cannot!!!
dismissing them in such a way just feels disrespectful to all of the humans involved in the vocal synth community, from the producers to artists to animators to the humans who cover those songs, all of whom add a little part of themselves to the songs
#from some perspectives i guess that vocaloid is equivalent to folk music for the tragically online#vocaloid concerts are a place of great community as well#it's like. miku isn't just a synth. she's all of our voices singing together#i also feel like that person thinks that vocaloid is exclusively 'write words and a melody and the robot will sing for you'#rather than something that requires technical ability and skill in order to produce#and connecting it to ai is. i feel like that would have happened regardless of vocaloid#because vsynth communities have become increasingly about respecting the artist and the software as very different things#with a few arguable exceptions of course due to the goals of some voicebanks being to emulate the singer as closely as possible#i have. so many emotions#helen stfu

The crazy thing is I can't even think of a job that isn't physical labor that is in demand and that you can't just get a machine to do for free. If anyone here doesn't know by now, I'm not avoiding physical labor for no reason, I am disabled lol
#I could learn graphic design which I fucking hate#but companies can use Canva for free!#I can try to edit which I like#but ppl can use cheap editing software and learn it themselves!#I could get into sound/music production like I want to#but people can use presets and it'll sound mostly okay!#I could try to work writing jobs#but the market is saturated! also AI is learning to do that!#I can't do tech jobs because I literally just can't get better at math. I put in maximum effort and still had to cheat to pass so#literally not an option it's just not a thing my brain is wired for no matter how hard I try or want to learn#let's not even talk about how no one wants to pay for art#I'm beginning to think the library job I want is going to be fucking obsolete by the time I get even halfway through a degree#customer service is being replaced with chatbots and automated systems so I can't even try that job I hate out of necessity#there's nothing#my only choice is to start working a physical job where they won't even let me sit down in a fucking chair#and keep working until I literally collapse onto the floor and then probably get fired for having the audacity to collapse

im listening to this youtuber go on about defending AI and how it's a tool that will help younger artists and it'll be easier than it is for us when we were younger and a lot of points that are proven false and just straight up ignorant. Theyre claiming that AI isnt destorying the art or music industries' as if the last year and a half haven't been shit because of what AI is taking from creatives and executive's aren't taking advantage of this "tool". The rant itself is very selfish and gross. I'm trying to hear the whole thing but their points are arguable and lacking. This whole thing started bc a bigger youtuber commented ( politely mind you) on their AI music video, saying how it's just as damaging to musicians as it is to illustrators. The youtuber in question cannot handle any sort of critique and it's pretty sad. I enjoyed them on Tiktok as that's how i originally found them. AI Can be a tool. But how they and others are using it are NOT a tool to help grow but stunt.
Also her video is a whole slap to the face to those who are in legal battles to actually regulate AI.
crazy how someone can be loud and wrong.
#just a little rant#also found out theyve been using ai gifs#i didnt even know that was a thing#looked up the AI software she used#and its predicted to mess up the music industry and take away jobs looooool#google is free

btw are there any lightweight video editors that come with effects more advanced that movie maker (like zooms, blurs, transitions, chromatic aberrations and all that jazz) for free WITHOUT ai at this point or is that a losing battle bc i feel like I am losing my mind
#txts#literally all the usual ones have integrated ai into them#either for ai subtitles ai cuts ai beats ai whateverthefuck#and i can not find information on whether they all use generative ai or just....the non-shit kind#bc yeah training a model to cut when the music goes loud aka a BEAT shouldnt be that hard#but asking it to generate an entire clip for you IS#and we always had auto generate subtitles but not auto edit-the-whole-damn-thing-together-and-pray#so i just.....its a bad mix rly#i dont need a bigass editor for making animatics#but i do want smth...beyond movie maker simply for making smoother transitions or effects bc csp doesnt have that#as it is a drawing software first and foremost and not an editing software#i am just very distrustful of what they have on offer
