Favorite Color: any shade of purple, but lilac and lavender are favorites, pale pinks, mint green, and light blue! anything floral basically.

Last Song: don't really remember, but it was probably some sort of track from the chainsaw man soundtrack...

Last Movie: I rewatched Nope (2022) recently! one of my fave movies to come out in recent years. I like anything with some sort of spooky vibe and some interesting visuals.

Currently Watching: gosh, i'm in the middle of watching so many things. I'm almost done watching mob psycho 100 season 3 (very much enjoying it!), also watching the thousand autumns donghua as i wait for more volumes to get translated (shen qiao getting screwed over: the series), and im almost done with my yearly saiki k comfort rewatch (saiki my aroace icon <3), and i really need to start jjk season 2 when I find the time!

Currently Reading: ahhhhhhhh i have so many things I need to read on my shelf it's ridiculous! I did recently finish volume 1 of remnants of filth a couple days ago and my self control to hold off buying volume 2 is crumbling at an alarming rate. I have a bunch of batman comics waiting to be read and also that chainsaw man buddy stories spin off burning a hole on my table. eagerly awaiting husky and his white cat shizun volume 4 and the final heaven official's blessing volume and im being so brave about it (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-)

Currently Listening: anything by Joey Valance and Brae to feel like a person before I start my day. double jump is a favorite!

Currently Working On: ummm *hides my dusty fanfic wips and dnd campaign outline i haven't touched for months* not really working on anything really. same old same old.

Current Obsession: I live and breath svsss. I have thoroughly exhausted the tag on tumblr and ao3 and now I am in the middle of rereading the entire bingqiu tag on ao3... I do not have a problem!

Also, about Persona 5 songs, what are some of your favorite soundtracks from the game? If you compared them to P3 & P4's soundtracks, which one do you prefer?

oh you have opened every worm in this can and we are writhing. ill try to only talk about three of my favorite ones because if you let me go nuts I'm gonna eat the whole tree 

absolute favorite song, whether it’s instrumental or with lyrics, is beneath the mask. untouchable. its the perfect feeling of nostalgia for something you've never even had, a longing you cant name. tonally, its perfect for the game and for akiras character. its the vibe of the game that tells you that these kids, no matter how happy and joyful they seem, are survivors. they will always carry that burden, you know? and i know that this song is about akira and how he feels being sent away to tokyo, but i usually think it applies to every single character in the game. everyone is wearing a mask--and those masks are what let these characters allow their abusers to take a hold of them. social norms and suffocating silence are what normalized the feelings that they have, you know???? beneath the mask holds this perpetuating, unyielding sadness and i love it 

then life will change is my next favorite because its so so so good and the entire song is basically a rallying cry from these kids--those masks i told you about before??? these kids were holding on to those masks because they were too scared of what might happen if they let it go. but if they hold on to those masks, they'll have to keep going through the hurt they endure everyday, the pain and belittlement and sorrow. so they have to let go, they have to step out of what they know, because if they don’t, life wont change. its just such a hopeful song and ahhhhhhhh playing this game really hits different in 2020 

my favorite score though (aside from rainy beneath the mask) is price. i have nothing deep to say about this other than the fact that its so good and i listen to it when writing essays and it never gets old (also layer cake. layer cake is a very very close second)

:O okay please dont hate me but i have never played p4 or p3 nor do i ever plan to and its not the game’s fault or even the community’s!!! the reason for that is because, you have to understand, persona 5 destroyed me. it took over my life with no warning and a year later I'm still very much here and I'm not going anywhere. i just don't think i can handle another persona game. 

that being said though, mass destruction and reach out to the truth are soooooo good and are amazing when playing smash. i probably like p4′s music better since I'm not a big fan of the rap and hip hop of of p3, whereas p4 is much more about the jpop side of things

the answer: im not usually a country/folk song fam, but this song is really nice. the chorus is super catchy too. 10/10 would replay.

cliche: I love this song to bits and im so glad you reminded me of its existence

I lied to you: ive been a fan of janet devlin since her short stint on the x factor and she sang chasing cars and this song is everything I love about her condensed into a song

deep end: I dont know if I told you this but birdy was basically the soundtrack of my underclassmen years in high school and hearing this song again is such a blessing

la lune: her voice is literally so calming? like 120% early morning playlist material I love it

what did you do?: this might be my favorite song off of the playlist today babes

til i dont: this feels like one of those morning drive feels. like summer breeze driving with the roof and windows down. I love it

safe with you: I ended up listening to a live version of this and shes really good. like im lo key blown away

hard place: her voice!!!!! her voice!!!!!!!!! this song!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I added this song into my library within the first half minute of the song I love it so much

see you in life: in first 3 notes I thought it was a cover of see you again, but I was pleasantly surprised. the song is so cute!!! and also melancholic but in a nostalgic kinda way yknow

if the world was ending: this song is just further proof that Julia Michaels is made of magic bc she sounds brilliant in any collab ive heard. this song is also pure magic
