I am feeling extra anxious now, so to soothe myself I thought of some cute gakuren headcanons (which may or may not appear on my fic):

The two rooting for each other during competitions (Ren becomes a temporary idol fan with how many Gakushuu light sticks he has).

Ren always lets him borrow one of his spare jackets at school. He usually keeps them so he always wears a clean one, but now the reason changed. He also makes sure to bring extra scarves too.

During one of their school trips, each student shared a room with one other. Ofc these two shared it, but the beds were too small for both to fit onto one. So when they wanted to be a bit closer, they spend their night on the floor.

They barely show any kind of intimacy at first, even at their own homes, for obvious reasons. So to change that, Ren uses one of his connections to get a room all for themselves under the guise of them going out somewhere. Let's just say it was a much more freeing time for both of them.

Every anniversary since they started going out has to be celebrated, at least according to Ren. Be it a date, or a gift or just a photo, he doesn't want to forget it cause you never know how long this happiness will last.

Definitely my favourite place for them to get closer is study sessions. Just imagine them at one point feeling so exhausted that they lean against each other, brush their palms together, just take the other in through the atmosphere. Even Gakushuu will want to relax for longer. Maybe he is finally feeling rebelious and might skip one study session?!

If we return to the competition part, Gakushuu has a lot of sports ones, especially football. Seeing him all exhausted and sweaty definitely does something to Ren. He gets weak if Shuu shows his dominant and prideful self. That might come in handy later. 👀

Ren was initially a bit too close to Gakushuu, something the other very clearly stated each and every time. The other never paid attention to it, still smothering him with love all around. It's not until Gakushuu literally pinned him down and made his statement loud and clear, was he able to understand a little. Well, until he starts all over again but Gakushuu had given up at that point.

dean was never meant to be someone she cared about. he was meant to be a fling, or just a friend. but slowly but surely he became someone she truly card for and she isn't sure when he snuck up on her.

TWO.

the first time she tells dean she loves him, is after a fight with her brother. she thought she'd lose him, and it prompted her to finally reveal the truth she'd hidden for so damn long. and she doesn't even care if he doesn't say it back.

THREE.

payne does not involve dean in the plans she has for killing her brother. as she knows she could die during it. and doesn't want to force dean to have to lose her knowing she won't back down from her plans. so instead she does it alone.

FOUR.

payne has no qualms being bait, even if it means dean rips into her and lectures her for an hour. she'd rather be bait then him force an innocent to be. or in the craziest circumstances. be bait himself.

Thank you for answering my questions! Next ones big, what version of fae folklore are you using for this au? Like does he not lie, not like iron, ect. We saw a hint of names having power, how much power is that? Also this is such a neat time frame to work with. How settled are they? If Jasons still fresh then how adjusted is he? Bruce and Jason are both so dramatic, I love it. Also the garden sounds amazing, did you have any direct inspiration?

Tbh I can't say much in fear of spoiling stuff for you but he's kind of based on celtic mythology and some other stuff I mixed and matched a lot.

Jason doesn't really trust Bruce all that much rn. He's still really wary of him and kind of has a fear of toeing the line too much and getting thrown out but also, he has no real clue where that line is so he's trying to flesh it out by doing some petty stuff.

The whole thing's inspiration is a very vivid daydream I had while on a very long car ride. Sometimes you gotta just pretend to be a cottage core fairy yk?

More fun facts about CS in TSCS:

Carol and Jacqueline have regular vent sessions. Mostly Carol; Jacqueline's just there for the TEA (and emotional support)

Her catchphrase could very much be "CAROL. DUMP HIS ASS" in this cs au

"Don't you mean tscs au?" NO. TSCS IS AN AU IN ITSELF AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

She frustrates Santa to no end bc A) She's Jack Frost and he has previous biases, and B) she goes OUT OF HER WAY to bother him.

When I say Jacqueline dislikes tscs!Scott, I am not joking. It is not hyperbole. She can't STAND him. And she tells him that to his FACE. MULTIPLE TIMES. And adds insult to injury bc she's buds with Carol and Buddy and Sandy, lol, and all the new gen elves are like, chill with her

(I have a silly hc that Betty is a Bernelle kid and Jacquie's her godmother, lollllll)

She and I both dislike people who need change and refuse to work on themselves/believe they're FINE and it SHOWS.

After she made the claim about murdering Jack, Santa was TERRIFIED on top of his usual distaste for Jack's successor lmao

She was quite delighted at how Santa took that tale. Elaborated a bit. I imagine it went something like this:

"...you what?" Her murderous look intensified. Santa could easily picture the darkness gathering around her the way it did in cartoons when the evil character was. Well. Being evil. "You heard me!" She sounded way too delighted, Santa noted. "I killed my predecessor! You know, the guy before me? Yeah. Stabbed him right dead. Pulled the vest out of the melted pile of slush that was once Jack Frost the first and put it right on." "...Jesus Christ."

Anyway, after that, she goes home and Jack pops in for 4 o'clock coffee and the final image ensues, lol. This interaction follows that:

"And he believed you?" Jack asked, pulling out the chair next to her and plunking down, stretching out his legs and crossing them at the ankles. "Damn near shat himself about it, too," Jacqueline confirmed, looking sly over the top of her mug. Jack laughed. "Oh that's, that's marvellous." "Mm! It was! THEN I elaborated. Told him I took the vest like a war trophy, you know? Didn't even wash it or anything. Shame I said SLUSH instead of BLOOD because I bet he would've like. DIED on the spot picturing me putting on a blood soaked vest, ehehe. I swear Jack, I could see his soul leave his body. Definitely top 5 best days at work. Maybe top 3, even."

Jack is deffs enjoying retirement in this au! Going full vacation mode, spending most days in various hot spots on various beaches with various drinks, usually popping by the family home for 4 o'clock coffee and cocoa--and a break from the sun since he burns and Winter worries

HIII OH MY GODDDDD BOUNCINNNG AROUND SO HARD OH MY GOD. HI WHISKEY. ok ok ok. u can watch the show (free & legally !) on rakuten viki !!!! i would recommend watching the show first, eps r like. 45 minutes each, it is an extremely good show but not a very great adaption.

(my personal opinions: show is much easier to get into & is SO fun. good show looks super nice visually imo but i'm a sucker for bright pretty saturated color cdramas.. id take bad cgi & fun visuals anyday over gritty dark hollywood shit. tbh. sands down the mcs more + the textually queer romance is sublimated into EXTREMELY LOUD subtext that is nevertheless never said out loud. like it's still queer as hell but like,, less so than the novel. novel is one of my favorites of all time however its something of a heavier read! deals a lot with deeply morally grey characters who are fine with being that way + falling into a death spiral & being certain yr gonna kill yourself before u reach 27 & then changing ur mind at the last possible minute when it's so close to being to late + tangled and fraught relationships to desire & selfhood & personhood & intimacy. it's a long commitment though + i think probably could b hard to get into bcos cnovel prose translation often has a different cadence & style to western fiction!)
