curse of strahd is insane i cant believe we rewrote the timeline in a way that uriels entire order is still alive ON ACCIDENT… AND THE PLAYER CHARACTERS WHO HAD THEIR LIVES CHANGE DONT REMEMBER THEIR PREVIOUS TRUTHS, ITS INSANE. THE OTHER PC WHOSE MEMORIES HAVE CHANGED IS KASIMIR. ITS BIG CRAZY DUDE. i made picrews of the order of the forgotten flower a while ago just kind of assuming theyd always be dead bc WHY WOULDNT I so ill put them under the cut along with just so much rambling info about uriel and his order i feel crazy. i never thought we would visit the monastery or GET TO TALK TO THEM AGAIN BUT HERE WE ARE

davey and i basically made up an elf monastery to corellon thats pretty reclusive that uriel was a part of. he was a founding member of the order, which was basically a relic finding task force. originally they went to berez to find the sun sword but it was a trap, all of them died except for uriel who was turned by strahd and excommunicated when he came back (its a big no no to run from a fight in the eyes of followers of corellon, and though he really didnt run he was the only member to come back and boy did he come back wrong)

uriels lover mikhail is someone who one could easily compare to sergei von zarovich and strahd had fun killing him personally but unbeknownst to uriel mishka also came back wrong when the dark powers gave him a second shot at life in the wreckage of the bergomasters manor in berez. uriel didnt find out til 10 years later after he ended his self flagellating isolation + joined the party and was reunited with Mikhail who admitted he had been working with strahd to keep him safe. basically thanks to the deal with the dark powers and manner of his death the mikhail that the party came to know was covered in burn scars, physically cold as ice, and completely unable to emote. it took his warmth. WE WERE PANICKING BC IT SEEMED LIKE HED BEEN CAPTURED BY STRAHD AND WAS IN TROUBLE AND THEN…. WE FINISHED THE INTERACTIVE TOME OF STRAHD AND HISTORY WAS REWRITTEN AND HE AND THE ORDER ARE FINE AND MIKHAIL IS HIS OLD SELF………………. unrecognizable to the party sans uriel and this also means uriel has something to lose again in a major way. IM SO SCARED.

uriel is still strahds spawn it just went down differently and was much more personal. its insane. i feel CRAZY

anyway heres my elf priests via picrew (strahd set the bergomasters manor on fire with them in it, listen, the bg was just impossible not to use)

in order: raphael, gavril aka “gav”, uriel, and mikhail, the oldest OG members of the order. raphael, uriel, and mikhail are straight up elf nuns married to corellon. theyre all very tightly knit and love eachother more than words could say.

then— iehudiel aka “salt”, barakhil, and selafiyel, the youngest and newest members. the twins are half elf/half orcs born from a barovian elf and an outsider, and salt just straight up was an adventurer who became trapped in barovia. the OG 4 are very protective of them and losing the order made uriels brain snap in half.

mishka got the most art from me on account of still being alive but ive doodled all of the OG members of the order!!! the dark power of cold gave him glowy eyes post-revival.

Note! I didnt know I could play something as chaotic and as fun as this game provided me. Its super fun and enjoyable and yet amidst the chaos I loved the characters that was shown and grown to get attached to them to a degree. Both Merlin and Adrian are mysterious and enigmatic in their own ways that makes me look forward to the story and how it progresses towards their character. "The Detective" is the sequel to "The Botanist" and it involves the singer (the detective) trying to solve the murders committed by the botanist, but in the process he's interrupted by the scientist from "Black Hole" after she brings on the end of the world with her experiment! I adore Steam's work. Every song is so good. orz

I love these lyrics from "The Botanist":

A lady who is allergic to flowers and a botanist who is allergic to humans,,, waaaa it's such a yummy concept!!! Rollo who is allergic to humans (magic) falling for a darling who is so in tune with their magic...... and the way the gloves go from green to red over the course of the song, indicating that something dire happened to the lady (it's revealed in "The Detective" that the botanist would remove the hearts of the women he kidnapped). The symbolism in making someone or something bloom. Rollo whose talent is literally gardening. Rollo who cared for and grew the Crimson Lotus........ I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. OTL he really does feel like the botanist character in the song.

ALSO!!!! The way the lyrics transition from "passionate for flowers" to "passionate for a flower." Going from plural to singular as this flower (the lady) fills the botanist's heart with some sort of crooked adoration. A darling couldn't fix Rollo. In fact, you would just make him worse (more obsessed) unintentionally. >_< I really want to write a fic inspired by this song for Rollo!!! It suits him so well. I'm happy you would want to read a fic like that!! <3

I've only written three fics for Rollo so far (The Diary of Rollo Flamme, Eden, and Crow & Goat in Courtship), but it's not nearly enough. Ok, ok, so, the first one is name Annalise and the general outline is her older brother is kinda like a psychopath. Its giving like the gray man’s (from trc) brother if that makes sense. But also that one ethel cain line thats like ‘white trash dick but hes nice to me. Yeah hes nice to me and no one else’ but hes also kinda mean to her as well. Anyways hes getting married (hes like 21) and his 17 yo sister both hates him and loves him,, resents him for being older and being the mothers favorite and hates him for treating her like he did. She wants to fuck him but refuses to stoop down to his level. But hes still her brother so she loves him. Anyways it culminates in her fucking his fiancee at her bachelorette party as kinda a way to get back at him while also the fiancee being almost him but being just removed enough that its not actual incest.

(Considering making her a lesbian and this being her sexual awakening but idk if that would fit)

and the second is comparatively, a lot less deprived. Andy is 19, a high school dropout working two jobs to support his younger brother who hes taking care of. His neighbor is mrs. Williams, a lonely housewife whos husbands barely there and barely cares. All of her sons are grownup and have no kids so its just her. But then she starts talking to her neighbor, this young man who reminds her of her first husband when he was young and is so charming. And as they spend more time together andy becomes more and more enamored with his older neighbor. Hes watching her garden in a little sun dress on his day off, licking his lip before going up to her and offering to help, sneaking looks down the front of her dress. They have an affair and its truly the only time either of them have felt happy, but it can never last, it only lasts one summer etc; etc; and they have to go back to their lives, pretty soon andy and his brother move away and thats the end of it all. One summer of love an all that, one story that they both take to the grave.

acts of service and quality time are our mutual love languages!! in reality it would be hard for me to really express myself with my creative hobbies like i do now, so i imagine i'd rely on showing my love in other ways...such as doing things with him, paying attention to the things he loves doing and exploring new things with him, helping him out with whatever he needs help for if im capable, physical touch, giving him stuff that reminds me of him like song recs... as for him? i think pretty much the same, he's the type of person that wants to see you glow and meet your goals so he'll do his best to show you how much he wishes that for you and does his best to help you along the way!

Family reunion, house full of people. All of her fingers are intact and she’s painted her nails a bright, brilliant blue. Some aunt nudges her mother, smiling.

“She’s gonna drive the boys crazy.” That’s strange to hear at thirteen. It sounds like an insult, but it’s a compliment. A threat, but a good one. You want to make boys go insane, don’t you? That makes you special. Her aunt says those words and paints the target on her forehead with sparkly pink gloss.

He’d been watching them since they showed up at the campsite. Maybe even before that. She scrubs her memory of the diner trying to piece together the faces. Was he there then, bumming a cigarette off of Blake, leaning on the hood of his truck? His eyes on them even then, blowing smoke out in the parking lot. When did he block the road off? If they would’ve stayed in the diner, would that have changed anything?
