#A Chance Encounter - EP

I know you probably can’t answer because of spoilers, but is there any chance you could confirm we don’t hear any harm done to children in Protocol? Jack’s introduction has set me a bit on edge, things happening to kids is a huge trigger for me.
Happy to answer this one. We are following the same rules as Archives, if you are introduced to an animal or child as a character, (basically if they are named) they will be all right in the end. They may encounter peril but will not be harmed. (see ep 19 as an example).

Penelope and her robe of power
Shoutout to @whistledownbad for invoking and taking this out of my subconscious. I didn't even realise I was thinking about this deeply (I shouldn't be surprised anymore since S3 has burrowed deep in my brain).
A short discussion on the Polisanity discord (a very very lovely, creative, and hilarious discord community of the residents of the Polin brainrot) showed me how this robe represents Pen's power-- not just in sexuality but in her character.
And it is shown on moments where she loses something, where her power was seemingly taken from her.
S3Ep3 - Forces of Nature
The first time we see this robe, Pen has just lost a flirting battle against Cressida for Debling's attention while pretending to be someone she is not. She looks defeated and annoyed which contrasts a similar scene on Ep 2 (after the fan encounter) where she looks more embarrassed and slightly amused at the situation.
S3Ep4 - Old Friends
The second time we see it is at the beginning of Ep 4. Pen is losing her battle from her resolve to follow the familiar tide of the marriage mart (I elaborate more on this scene here because it's not just Pen who is losing their resolve) on the day that Debling asks for Portia's permission to propose to Pen (where we get this poignant statement from Portia about security being romantic. Which I actually agree on coming from a poor family/country. Also, can I just say Nicola looks absolutely stunning in this scene).
She is distraught and seem to be in the middle of convincing herself that she is doing the right thing.
S3Ep5 - Tik Tok
In the middle of the chaotic 24hrs of Penelope's life (where she gets proposed to by the love of her life and experiences her first sexual encounter), she is seen crying and having to write about herself on Whistledown for the 2nd time for the current season (she probably writes about herself regularly in the column so as not to arouse suspicion but she would have most likely focused on mundane things) when we see this robe for the third time.
She loses the chance to feel completely and irrevocably happy about her engagement when Eloise points out that she is harboring a heavy secret from the man who just lovingly confessed that he would rather feel tortured with love for her than to carry on living.
S3Ep6 - Romancing Mr. Bridgerton
Ahhh...Pen and this robe. I'm so curious now what actually is the design on the robe and the decision behind using it for these scenes.
The fourth time we see this robe, Pen seemingly decides to lose Whistledown forever, hiding a part of herself in the "name of love". A crossroad that she never thought she'd have to go through when she began that season, Pen gives up all power and decides (tentatively) to follow her mother's advise. It's admirable on one part as real life will tell you that sometimes, there are sacrifices you need to make for your partner. But this really is sometimes up for debate whether that action is made in love, out of love, or for love (or not at all). I've always thought that Pen also suffers the same hero complex that Colin has albeit more subtle than his. I think this was part saving Colin (from whatever trouble Whistledown brings) and also part penance for what her writing and decisions have put him through regarding Marina.
AND THEN-- the last last time on this season that we see her in it is so viscerally powerful that it probably made everyone forget that:
This wasn't the same wedding night robe (where Colin openly lusted on Pen and stubbornly wasted his opportunity).
That whenever we saw Pen on this robe in the earlier episodes, she seemed to be unhappy and devoid of power and agency within herself.
S3Ep8 - Into the Light
This wonderfully and deliciously short scene encapsulates Pen's embracing of her power-- the parts that she has been losing and letting go whenever she wears this robe. I also love that it's with Colin that she finally embodies the full strength of this power.
Come S4, I need this robe to be slowly taken off by Mr. Bridgerton off of Mrs. Bridgerton please.

If I Can Dream: Chapter 1
A/N: Man, I've been so back and forth on whether to publish this one or just keep it to myself forever. This series is very near and dear to my heart, so I'd love to hear your thoughts if you enjoy it.
An extra special thank you to my besties @ccab and @atleastpleasetelephone for all their encouragement. Thanks for putting up with me! I love you both! 🩷🩷🩷
Summary: It's 1975 and Jo Bellamy has been in love with Elvis for 20 years. She doesn't even care that they haven't met yet. All she needs is a chance and she's determined to get one.
But Elvis doesn't feel much like Elvis anymore. What happened to the man he used to be? He's pretty sure he's long gone.
Can a chance encounter with Jo change the ill-fated trajectory of his life?
Warnings: this will eventually have smut, but is pretty fluffy/angsty for now. Elvis is sad and dealing with self esteem issues. There's also a small mention of drug use. Jo smokes cigarettes.
Word count: ~2.4k
Elvis looks at himself in the mirror again and tries not to cringe. At least he was able to zip the jumpsuit and get the belt on. The silver phoenix spreads across his torso, distracting from the rest of him. But he's not used to seeing this old man looking back at him. He touches his face gently, his rings glittering in the light, and sighs deeply. It wasn't so long ago that he was a sleek, handsome sex machine and now he's this. Old and tired and fat. Washed up. That's what the magazines say: washed up.
“EP, it's time!” Jerry hollers from the hallway. Elvis takes another deep breath and groans when the belt cuts into his stomach.
It's December of 1975 and Elvis is back in Vegas to finish the engagement he started in August that landed him in the hospital yet again for exhaustion. He's not sure he'll make it through this one either, but he's determined to try. If he doesn't have anything left to offer on stage, what the hell is the point?
He closes his eyes and turns from the mirror, walking to the door. Before he opens it, he rearranges his face into a smile. Nobody needs to know how he feels.
******
Jo looks in the mirror and moves a few pieces of her hair around on her forehead. When she came home with her pixie cut a few weeks ago, her best friend almost lost it. Evelyn couldn't believe Jo'd cut off all of her beautiful hair right before she was supposed to be in her wedding. But Jo was tired of messing with it. This was much easier and she liked the way it made her look young and fun. At 36, she was eager for anything that made her look younger.
She touches her cheek and looks at her eye makeup in the mirror. She has on the kind of thick black liner and mascara that makes her eyes look wide and doll-like and was popular when she was younger. Makeup is a little less dramatic now, but she likes this look better than the current style.
Her lavender shirt is almost see-through and her navy pants hug her ass just right. She's got a nice body, for her age, having been blessed with a fast metabolism and well-proportioned curves.
“Jo Bellamy, you're a catch.” She says it out loud to the mirror and nods affirmatively. Evelyn laughs from the bathroom and hollers amidst her giggles.
“Yeah, too bad you're too busy runnin’ to let a man catch you!” Jo looks at her friend and crinkles her nose.
“I'd stop for the right man.” Evelyn snorts.
“He'd have to be a hell of a man to stop you.”
“Yes, he would. I won't settle for anything less than the deepest love.” Jo smiles dreamily as her friend walks back into their hotel room. They've come to Vegas to celebrate Evelyn's last weekend as a single woman.
“Is that why you insisted on seeing Elvis? You think he's the right man?” Evelyn pokes Jo in the side and they both giggle.
“Ah yes, Elvis Presley. The man that no one else can live up to. He's the reason I've been single all these years, you know.”
“Oh, I'm aware. And it's ridiculous. We've seen him how many times, now?”
“Six. But I've never been on the front row. This is a big deal.” Evelyn looks at Jo nervously.
“You're gonna do something crazy, aren't you?” Jo pretends to be offended.
“Moi?! Noooooo, never.” But her reassurance is not received. Evelyn has known Jo since second grade. The only thing you could count on with her was that she'd do something crazy.
“Just don't get us kicked out again.” Jo laughs, thinking of how she'd been carried out of a venue in ‘72 for trying to get to his car after a concert.
“Hey, the show was over!” Evelyn rolls her eyes. She's been there for Jo's whole Elvis-obsessed life, from seeing him in 1955 on the back of a truck in a parking lot in Memphis, to being at the train station when he left for the army, to seeing every single movie, to flying to Vegas when he opened there in 1969. She used to be just as big of a fan, but that faded when she met Phil five years ago. Now, she just thinks it's time for Jo to grow up and move on like she did. Jo winks. “But I make no promises. I'm getting desperate.”
She has no intention of moving on. Elvis is the only man who has ever been consistent in her life, even if he doesn't know who she is. And now he's not married anymore, so she feels better about trying to catch him. Tonight might be her only chance to be this close to him. She's not going to waste it.
******
Elvis moves around the stage, doing his normal show routine. He's absolutely exhausted and the crowd's energy feels off. Honestly, he's not far from just walking off and calling it a night. He doesn't even kiss anyone during Love Me Tender, just tosses a couple of scarves into the audience.
“Something's wrong.” Jo mutters to Evelyn.
“What do you mean?”
“With him. Something's wrong.” Evelyn studies her friend. Jo is watching him like a hawk, her eyebrows pulled together.
“You know, I read a thing about him being on drugs-” Jo whips her head around.
“No. This is different. He's sad. He's not high.” Evelyn wonders how she can tell the difference, but doesn't push her on it.
By the end of the show, though, Jo is trying desperately not to cry. Her heart is broken for him and she can't even really say why. When he starts the last song, she stands up.
“Jo! Josephine! Sit down!” Evelyn pulls on her hand. Her heart is in her throat, but she can't let him leave the stage like this.
Elvis notices a girl in the front row standing as he starts his last song. He can't believe he made it to the end of the show and he's ready to leave this stage and never come back. But he can't take his eyes off the girl that's standing. He thinks about going to the edge of the stage to give her a scarf and a kiss, but before he can do that, she acts.
Jo pushes her chair to the edge of the stage, stands on it, and drags herself up onto the platform. Evelyn is yelling at her, but she blocks her out. Her heart is pounding and she knows she has about three seconds before Charlie grabs her, so she goes straight to Elvis.
Elvis is in shock as the girl runs to him and launches herself into his arms, wrapping herself around his neck. It's certainly not the first time a fan has come up on stage, but it's been a little while. He relaxes a bit when she kisses his cheek and whispers.
“It's okay. Whatever it is, it's okay. We still love you. I still love you.” He smiles a bit and whispers back.
“Thank you, dear.”
And then Charlie is there with his arms around her waist and she lets go of Elvis and allows herself to be carried away. He almost grabs her hand, but he stops himself. She's got to be crazy, coming up on the stage like that. But she didn't feel crazy; she felt desperate, and he understands that feeling. Even beyond that, her words were kinder than anything he's experienced in a while. There's a kind of ache to hear more of what she has to say.
The show ends and he calls Joe over to him.
“Find her.”
“Which one?”
“The one who came up on the stage, dumbass.” Elvis knows they're wasting precious time and she might be leaving.
“Oh. I'm sorry boss-”
“What did you do?”
“It wasn't me! They escorted her out of the venue.” Elvis feels rage bubble up inside him.
“THEY KICKED HER OUT?!” He bellows and kicks over a chair backstage.
“Security did! They figured you would want her gone!” Joe is obviously starting to panic. Elvis rounds on him and his eyes burn with anger.
“You find her. Go now. Find her.”
“But boss you could have-”
“I WANT HER.” Joe knows when it's time to stop arguing and get to work, so he nods quickly and takes off. “I want her…”
He whispers it quietly to himself, a little surprised that he said it. There hasn't been anyone he's wanted in a while. But something about her was different. He tells himself he's just curious to figure it out. That has to be it.
******
Jo grunts in frustration again and lights her cigarette while they wait for a cab to take them back to their hotel.
“Well, what did you think was gonna happen?!” Evelyn is less than amused by Jo's decision to run up on the stage and get them both kicked out.
“I dunno. This, I guess. But I still wanted to see the end of the show. Also it felt like he wanted to talk to me more.” Evelyn rolls her eyes so hard Jo is afraid it might be painful.
“You just want that to be true.”
“No! You weren't up there with him.”
“Jo, this is ridiculous. He's a celebrity. You don't know him.”
“I don't have to know someone to know when they're in need.” She stamps on her cigarette as a cab pulls over to them and they climb inside. Evelyn tells the cabbie where to take them and they ride in silence the rest of the way.
Joe gets to the sidewalk just as their cab pulls away. He doesn't know it was her in the car, though, so he runs around frantically looking. After almost an hour, he goes back to Elvis, ready to have his tail kicked for failing.
“You didn't find her?” Joe shakes his head sullenly and looks at the floor. Elvis has his jumpsuit off and his pajamas and robe on. He'd lost hope after about twenty minutes of Joe being gone. “Oh well.”
Joe leaves and Elvis turns all the lights off and closes the curtains, leaving the room almost pitch black until he turns the televisions on. He swallows a handful of pills and settles on the couch.
They'll head back to Memphis in a few days and he'll have some peace. Still, some part of him wishes she wasn't out of his life forever. Just another woman to add to his list of regrets. Too bad he doesn't even know this one’s name.
******
Evelyn and Jo leave Vegas the next day and go back home to their normal lives. Evelyn is preparing for the wedding and Jo is watching the papers for news that Elvis is back in Memphis. Despite all the urging from Evelyn to give up, she's not quite ready to quit. Not when it seems like he might need her. Evelyn just rolls her eyes and tells her she better not miss the wedding because she's chasing an impossible dream.
When she sees that Elvis gets home a few days later, Jo leaves work in the middle of the day to go to the Graceland gates. He's already inside when she gets there and joins the throng of women outside waiting for him. She's instantly annoyed by their presence and knows he must be too, so she turns and walks back to her car.
Elvis is in his bedroom with the lights off. He peeks out the window briefly and sees the crowd at the gates. It should encourage him, but it doesn't. He's convinced they're all just dreaming of a man that doesn't exist anymore. He closes the heavy drapes and crawls into bed, even though it's the middle of the day. Even reading sounds too daunting right now, so he just closes his eyes. He knows he won't sleep, but he can at least pretend to try. Maybe it'll help this feeling go away.
Jo comes back to Graceland at about 1:30 in the morning and is excited to see that all the other fans have gone home. She stands at the gates for a bit, but it's so cold that she starts to lose feeling in her fingers and toes. The house is mostly dark, but she knows he's in there and he's probably awake. With his performance schedule in Vegas, there's no way he's not a night owl. She walks back to her car to warm up and look around for some way she can try to get his attention. Then she sees it in her backseat: a ream of copy paper. There's a black marker in her purse that she keeps there just in case, so she digs it out. She writes on the paper in big letters:
I’M THE GIRL THAT HUGGED YOU ON STAGE ON SATURDAY.
She'll have to assume she's the only one that did that. She writes it on a few more papers and then scribbles her name and phone number on all of them.
“This is crazy.” Jo mutters to herself as she stands at the gates, bouncing from one foot to the other with an armload of paper airplanes. It takes her a few tries and she has to walk to a place where the wall is a little lower, but eventually she's able to sail all of them over to his side. She imagines that the guards are probably getting a good kick out of what she's doing, but she doesn't care. This is too important. But she's done all she can do tonight. The ball is now literally in his court. Hopefully, he'll see the notes and call her. Or he won't and she can finally put to rest this idea that she has stuck in her brain and go on that date with Alan from work. He's been after her for months now and she's running out of excuses to say no. Jo gets back in her car, rubbing her hands together for warmth, and says a silent prayer that Elvis will call.
******
Until Chapter 2!

TAGS/WARNINGS: reader is gender neutral but afab, reader is a hero course student (pretend everything that happened in their first, happened in their 3rd yr instead so that everyone is 18+), that being said this takes place after the provisional license exam, reader kinda sits back and takes it like a bitch sorry i was too lazy to write a power struggle, no sex, blood consumption, lazy ending bc idgaf and needa grind thru my remaining prompts GENRE: not smut but also not exactly sfw either? WORD COUNT: 1K SUMMARY: himiko loves you—and your blood—maybe a little too much. 🦊’s A/N: idk how i’m supposed to act after the most recent two eps so uhm. i WANTED to write sum based on togachako but. that’s too angsty 4 kinktober so uh take this instead ig .. also FORDULA was supposed to write this originally…. when i catch you stanford..
himiko toga was many things, and a lover was absolutely one of them. a lover of love, of passion, of blood, of you, and, most importantly, your blood.
the first time the two of you met one another was at the training camp aoyama had ratted out. she was immediately infatuated by you—which is when it all began.
at first, it was just minimal stuff, like looking you up on social media and seeing what posts you were tagged in, and then it quickly escalated to figuring out your schedule and secretly stalking you. whether that be following you home from a distance, your internship agency, or even just an outing with friends, himiko was always there, watching, spying, learning everything she could about you; eventually, it got to the point where she was always around you without your knowledge. whenever she wasn’t with the league, she was stalking you, and suddenly without even realizing it, she found herself sneaking into the dorms late one night, disguised as you, since she had been able to get her hands on some of your blood during your first encounter.
unbeknownst to himiko, however, is that for the longest time, ever since the training camp, you couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched all the time. at first, you thought it was just a trauma response from everything that had gone down, but after talking to your classmates about it, you quickly realized you were the only one someone had their eyes glued on.
which is why you started staying up late—tweaking in your bedroom over the fact that someone is definitely out to get you. toga, having expected this, had come up with a plan in advance.
knocking lightly on your door, you only get out of bed at the second series of knocks—it was 1am, what could possibly be so important that one of your classmates had to come wake you?
much to your horror, when you open the door, you’re suddenly standing face to face with—yourself!? what the fuck!
“wh—” you don’t get a chance to speak, however, when your double is glomping you and pinning you down to the ground.
were you dreaming? if so, now would be a fantastic time to wake up!
you’re brought right back to reality, though, when you feel a set of fangs are your neck and your own hair melting away to reveal messy blonde buns—himiko toga. your heart feels like it might pound out of your chest as her hands intertwined with yours, keeping them pinned down against the floor. she pulls away from your pulse point—not having bitten you yet—and looks you in the eye, your own face having melted away to be replaced by her own lovely one.
it’s true that her smile gave you butterflies, and you couldn’t deny the way your face felt warm from the close proximity, but that was surely just from your struggles—hey, why wasn’t your body fighting back? were you letting this happen? …shame on you, little hero.
“y’know,” she says your name before continuing, “i’ve been waiting so long to see you properly again—i’ve missed you so much,” the blonde says excitedly, cheeks rosy as she smiles wide.
“b–but—why?” you gasp out, looking up at the young woman on top of you.
“because i can’t stop thinking about you, silly,” she tells you, sounding awfully cheerful, as she leans in to press a fleeting kiss to your lips, two more to each of your flushed cheeks, and then down to the pulse point of your throat where you can feel her grin against the thin flesh there. “because i love you—i love izuku and ochako too, of course, but you—i really love you.” her breath is hot against your skin and a chill runs down your spine.
before you’re able to get another word in, she bites your neck with enough force to break the skin, not that it was very hard to begin with given her fangs, and draw blood.
“nngh—”
“say, you’re not resisting very hard—why is that, hero?” she asks as she begins lapping up the blood. “don’t tell me you have a crush on me?” she inquires, brows raising in interest and smile stretches wide.
her words made your body tense even more than it already was, and you actually reflect a bit on her words — the first time you had seen himiko, you had thought she was awfully cute, and you had wished so badly she hadn’t been a villain — and its all you can do to gasp out a quiet no! of denial.
“i don’t think that’s quite true,” the blonde insists, picking a new place along your neck to bite at and pierce the skin there. you tilt your head back on instinct in a very weak-willed attempt to get away, naively creating an even better opening for her, something she certainly appreciates.
“you don’t— don’t know what you’re talking about,” you spit out, hardly unable to deny the truth of it all.
were anyone to walk in right now, they would certainly be in for an odd sight; you with toga’s head straddling the real you’s hips and pinning your hands above your head.
“i think i do,” she coos before digging her teeth deeper into your neck and sucking against the skin there, sure to leave a hickey behind in her wake. this continues for about another five minutes, her drinking your blood until you began to feel a little woozy — which is about when you actually began to struggle in her grasp. you thought maybe you could’ve talked things out without creating a scene since it was so late, but now it may actually be too late.
“t–toga,” you squeak out, vision going dark. she wasn’t planning on taking so much blood that it would kill you—just leave you useless the next couple of days as your body recovered.
it doesn’t take much longer before you find yourself faint from blood loss and himiko’s sneaking out your window, dropping to the ground two stories below with a quiet thud and she’s booking it into the forest, sure to come back for a second round.

Time for another Theory Boys! I wanted to post stuff on my Bday but I got busy so I'll do my birthday stuff later. I have to get this theory off my chest before I forget about it or worse someone else comes up with it before I have a chance to send it.
This theory will include spoilers from the most recent eps, "Moon's NIGHTMARE encounter while hunting for Dark Sun", "Sun, Solar, and Moon FACE THEIR CONSEQUENCES...", and "Sun is forced to make A DEADLY CHOICE". So I'm putting this below a spoiler bar. I will also be going into MASM spoiler territory, "Sun begins his VILLAIN ARC with Eclipse". Will also be mentioning LAES "Dark Star HUNTING in VRchat". Just a little disclaimer my theories and stuff are just my own observations and me putting together my thoughts and ideas so they usually aren't super accurate to what is really happening buy I do find a lot of enjoyment doing this. That said, on with the brainrot!
So this Theory starts at the ep, "Sun is forced to make A DEADLY CHOICE", in this episode Sun has to make a heartbreaking decision to kill Nexus and defend his current family or let Nexus kill Moon so he can maybe try to still save Nexus. The entire episode is punctuated by Dark Sun doing an ultimatum with Sun. He freezes time and pulls Sun away to the purgatory dimension. Something interesting I want to point out, this is the CANON purgatory place in TSAMS and the multiverse. Vegeta was sent there on request and met several deceased characters. That place symbolizes people who couldn't make decisions in life and are now stuck in the past, unable to move on even in the afterlife. The only person in purgatory that doesn't belong is Solar Flare and with his case he became a guardian that help guide people when they're not suppose to be there. Back to the encounter, Dark Sun pulls Sun to this place in a very trippy sequence where he presents Sun's choice in a very black and white manner. "It's going to be you one way or another." Dark Sun says in response to Sun's stuttering mess of a reply, he proceeds to follow up with "Inaction is still a choice" Sun of course, is opposed to this but Sun adds interesting lines, "Regardless of this, I win." "You let Nexus kill Moon and I'll get that data and I'll expunge it everywhere" "You kill Moon and I'll collect that data and expunge it everywhere." So at the end of the day he needs some kind of decided code where someone willingly chooses/wants to kill Moon. He also said, Nexus is Moon. So killing Nexus coding wise is the same as killing Moon.
Once Sun caves and makes the decision to finally kill Nexus, Sun, while in tears, asks D!Sun "Who are you really?" In this soft, tiny voice. And D! Sun replies, "I'm Sun, I'm every Sun you've ever met. That you ever will meet. That you've never met and never will meet. I'm You, I'm Me. I'm Sun. Goodbye, Sun. I hope we never meet again, I hope you have a good life too." Then he vanishes from the purgatory place right in front of Sun.
Then the episode ends with Sun finally putting a stop to Nexus. Something very important I notice and that's a theme in TSAMS is identity. Identity is a huge role in everything and usually, when someone is affirmed and very solid in who they are, then it's usually not the case. Earth believed she was the Creator's beloved daughter. Sun believed he was nothing more then the idiot to Moon's genius. Moon believes himself to be an irredeemable monster. Most importantly, Eclipse believes himself to be Moon. If D!Sun says he's a Sun....I just don't really know at this point? When he summoned Sun and paused time he took him to the purgatory afterlife. The thing about that is, Sun never physically left the strange star-powerless dimension pocket D!Sun owns. So one can assume it was Sun's mind or Soul that was drawn there for the conversation. So then I ask, why was D!Sun using the Eclipse v1 mode? The Sun glow model has always been associated with Eclipse v1. I know that in recent eps it's been used to tell Sun's apart however, in the purgatory place would they really need to be physically distinguished? We the audience know who is who. So, in the place where it's their souls, why was D!Sun's Soul physically different from Sun's? Coincidence? Visual distinction? I think this is possibly a case of an Eclipse thinking he's a Sun. I WANT for Dark Sun to be a Sun, I think it's just chilling and haunting. The two most OP villains in the entire franchise happen to both be offshoots of Sun? Ruin is arguably far more Sun then Moon and of course Dark Sun has caused the most problems behind the scenes. But I do think it's interesting how he put it, how can he truly be EVERY Sun if he needed OUR Sun's decision to kill Moon? He could just use his own hatred for Moon. Or just use Nexus, why even make/give Sun the chance to grow and defend himself?
Remember back when we found out it's canon Moon bullies Sun's in all dimensions to get them to 'grow spines' and in a way, Eclipse' also treat Sun's poorly in the hopes Sun gets tougher?
We for canon know of 4 variants of Eclipses, the 4th being the rarest in the multiverse. The first Eclipse variant is the one we first meet, the Eclipse born from Sun and Moon's split. Moon leaves a killcode string in Sun which eventually grows into Eclipse. Eclipse in this version identifies as Moon.
The second variant Eclipse is 'ruin Eclipse' or the eclipse that resembles the games. Born from the two Sun and Moon AIs being fused. We've seen this version in PuppetMaster's dimension and of course with Ruin. He doesn't see himself as Sun or Moon, but as an entirely new existence. The third variant is unique to MASM. He's the original DCA model for the world but was turned off for bad coding and a far too violent nature. He's kind of like a cartoon villain and just wants revenge on everyone.
Then there's the 4th variant, Solar Eclipse. He's the first Eclipse but instead bonded with his Sun and changed for the better. He wasn't isolated and was given Sun's unconditional love. He does identify as Moon at first too but chose to let go of his false identity and hatred because he got the thing he wanted, even if he lost it far too early in his existence. So back to D!Sun...I propose what if he's a variant of Solar Eclipse? It was stated Solar is so unique he's the only inherently good Eclipse in the multiverse...but how can that be true? How can there really only be one Solar, especially when Cringe dimension (our dimension's parallel) also has their own Solar? I think there's a type of Eclipse we haven't seen yet. The Eclipse that identifies themself as a Sun.
I'm also excited to see where D!Sun's story goes because he also mentioned he was changing skin soon. It'll be interesting if they ever find him again. So moving past this, more speculation.
In today's most recent ep, "Moon's NIGHTMARE encounter while hunting for Dark Sun", he stumbled upon a dimension with a 'discrepancy' and when visiting the discrepancy he was greeted to a new Sun beating a lifeless Moon's corpse into powder. This Sun was a crying sobbing mess but would not stop almost like he was possessed. He even started trying to attack our Moon. What's interesting about his 'discrepancy' Sun is he seemed to have a nightcap and had sparkling rays. I can't tell if this is a simple different dimensional appearance or maybe the code D!Sun scattered affected that sun's appearance? However, it's interesting that Sun being violent to Moon is considered a dimensional discrepancy. Moon ended the episode by walking off with Solar to get a sandwich while his new AI runs a dimensional scan for Sun on Moon violence and it ends by it saying "35% of discrepancy's found." This means we're now encountering an EVEN BIGGER effect then what Ruin did when he deleted entire dimensions to kill the creator counsel. Not really sure how the code Dark Sun is spreading works, but it's clear it's making every Sun hate their Moon's now. We don't get the context on why Sun hated his Moon and felt the need to protect himself, because at the end of the day that sparkling nightcap wearing Sun still had a reason to act. He told out Moon, "He was going to kill me, he was going to replace me" and Moon looked closer to determine that this new unknown Sun wasn't possessed by a killcode or anything similar.
D!Sun has seemingly broadcasted into the multiverse the ability for Sun's to now stand up for themselves. They will now choose murder if it means to protect them.
We know when Dark Sun told Sun "All Sun's die eventually to their Moon." He meant it, however, just because D!Sun was being honest doesn't mean that's the truth. He might truly believe all Moons are evil and destined to kill their Sun's however we've seen plenty of dimensions where Sun and Moon peacefully exist. So D!Sun is now just turning every Sun slowly with time into murders. He wanted revenge on Moon and is now using every Sun as the weapon to do it. I'm really interested to see how this will affect the story going forward. Now I would also like to bring up Moon and Sun Minecraft lore, in the most recent lore episode, "Sun begins his VILLAIN ARC with Eclipse", the entire episode centers around Sun finally quitting because the abuse of all his coworkers is too much. He finally quit and ran into Eclipse and had to prove how evil he is so he kidnapped Bonnie only for the entire thing to flop in a Phineas and Ferb reference. (It was funny ngl) The ending was interesting to me though. Moon found Sun on the roof of Evil Inc. and apologized to Sun, a really shitty apology I will add, and Sun didn't accept it.
Sun is continuing to stand up for himself. We've seen before in TSAMS and other dimensions Sun will accept an apology no matter how unbelievable it is. The only ones so far to truly stand up for themselves now is MASM Sun and EAPS Sun (which EAPS Sun still doesn't really stand up for himself)
I'm curious to see how this code works because it seems like D!Sun harnessed it from Sun's very soul. I know Sun on record has said he doesn't believe he has a soul but it's been dis-proven because you need a soul to use magic. The Devil from the Bible even stated they do in fact have souls he plans to one day collect.
We also know now that the Cringe dimensions' Moon now identifies as Nexus so he might escape a fate of that Sun killing him? I think Cringe Sun actually knows far more then he will ever let on. I think he knows more about Sun's magic in general. He didn't want to teach EAPS Sun despite knowing how.
EAPS Sun might be the only Sun so far to be actually interested in learning magic but when he describes what he wants to do it mostly sounds like stage magic? He mentions he just wants ✨sparkles✨
I think we'll need to keep our eyes peeled because I think now every Sun will be affected by what Dark Sun is spreading and slowly turn more violent towards Moon's as time goes on.
Anyways!
I will add more, so another theory I have is Nexus is not dead. Dark Sun himself promised to Nexus he'd help him become a god and recently there was a deal he made where Nexus has to do whatever he wants and says. Plus, part of D!Sun's plan was to have Nexus fight Taurus to gain a new level of power. Nexus' evolved in his NSP use thanks to that confrontation. Up until then, D!Sun wasn't ever actively interfering or encouraging Nexus with his NSP use. He only once came in to mention maybe he should purge the excess NSP or it would kill him. After his failed kidnapping attempt of Sun, he was more active in his plans and how he directed Nexus. Then we see Nexus getting stronger from this direction. Next thing we know is Nexus kidnaps Moon and now we have the ultimatum which was exactly what D!Sun wanted. Either way, he wins, right? Nexus either becomes a god by listening to D!Sun's plan or by using Sun as an AI chip to hunt down shards. Something really important in my own guess/theory that Nexus is we still saw his corpse when Solar, Sun, and Moon walked past him in the flashback during the ep, "Sun, Solar, and Moon FACE THEIR CONSEQUENCES...", He wasn't totally gone. Dark Sun can easily revive Nexus but here's what I think is really going on. In the recent LAES ep "Dark Star HUNTING in VRchat" Gemini dropped some really important information. NSP will eventually turn into SP. Whenever SP and NSP interact it creates life. Sun as we know, has SP and I theorize that Sun killed Nexus by mixing his magic and SP. After all, the way Nexus was acting as he was dying was interesting...He sounded like he was...melting? I don't know how to describe it. Sun's magic as we know is unique. It's altered reality and changed lifeforms. Those magic plants Solar, Moon, and Monty were dealing with were due to Sun's magic. @goodolddumbbanana pointed out to me that Sun's magic was the cause of those plants. They also pointed out to me when I was asking about what D!Sun was doing in Sun's home and touching all of Sun's things they theorized that D!Sun was harvesting Sun's magic. (I'm gonna make an actual theory post about this later too with Banana, stay tuned ;) )
So back to NSP and SP. Nexus is similar to Lunar in terms of narrative. He feels he was used and left the one using him for a better place. Eventually, the one he felt that used him the most killed him in a fiery explosion with only a little bit left behind.
In a lot of stories, especially ones where someone goes from mortal to an immortal-godlike being they usually need to die. There's power in the act of rebirth. Nexus' and Lunar's stories resemble that of the phoenix.
Rebirth through flames to achieve and almost immortal existence.
So this isn't me grasping at straws I truly think Nexus will come back and be a being similar to Lunar. I think Dark Sun is going to rebuild him amongst the stars to have his own personal Astral for future use.
So those are my current most theories! I hope you all liked my yapping. Please let me know what you all thought about :>

Japanese QL Corner
Counting my blessings this week as these current shows continue to absolutely kill it. These are all streaming on Gaga or provided via fansub (feel free to ask if you don’t know where to find them).
Our Youth
This week we were treated to a series of relationship negotiation conversations, several scenes so charged with tension and meaning that I am still not done processing, and a metaphor that just about knocked me out. Hirukawa can see through Minase's weak protests and just keeps putting himself near him, and now with Minase's parents likely divorcing and his impending departure abroad, he feels like he has nothing to lose, so he may as well give in to his desires. I am attuned to the pacing so I assume within the next two eps we will be wrapping up this high school backstory (brace yourselves for the horrors) and then going back to the present to see how they come back together as adults. I can't wait; this show is just killing it.
Love is Like a Poison
We begin this week's ep with the sweet smell of vindication, because as I thought, Haruto did not leave Shiba. He simply put his ring safely away and went out on a mission. Our Battle Couple continues to thrive! After another terrible encounter with his father (another strong contender for worst dad in BL), Haruto comes home and finally comes clean about the last of his secrets with encouragement from Shiba. His backstory is just as sad and horrifying as expected, and all the details of how he approached Shiba come together seamlessly now that we know he's been seeking help to avenge his mom this whole time. As a cherry on top, Shiba's bestie backs him up with the boss, and now the whole squad is geared up to take that man down.
Love in the Air Koi
CW: abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual assault
This week we transitioned from Arashi and Rei's happy coupledom to the beginning of Kai and Fuma's love story, with the flashback to their first encounter and an efficient presentation of Kai's harrowing backstory. I appreciate that this show did not flinch away from the ugliness of Kai's history, but also didn't dwell unnecessarily in the trauma. I am also noting the absence of the first kidnapping plot from the original drama--I assume this version will be combining Rei and Kai's abductions into one event toward the end of the show, which for me is an extremely welcome change. Nagatsuma Reo is really solid in portraying Kai's trauma and the intentional distance he keeps in his relationships and the fear and tension warring with his interest in Fuma was well done. Looking forward to their story.
The Fragrance You Inherit
In this episode Sakura and Mone got the chance to reconnect and Sakura finally told her story. It's sad as hell that her devastation over Mone led her to a dubious encounter with a man she doesn't know or like, but at the same time it gave her Toki, who is clearly her great joy in life. I'm happy that she got to raise him with the support of a good friend in Ryosuke, if not a partner. Speaking of Toki, it's now clear that he knows about his mom's feeling for Mone, and he is feeling her out to see what she might be willing to tell him. I'm sure he's having a lot of complex feelings, but I didn't get the sense that he's angry with his mother or concerned about his own relationship as much as he is sad that Sakura has kept this huge part of who she is a secret from him. Sakura wants to shield him from things he already understands, and she's too caught up in her own past trauma to recognize that the very fact of queer people existing will not come as a shock to her son. I love that the show seems poised to tackle that generational culture aspect of this conflict alongside the interpersonal dynamics. You can find the show here, with big thanks as always to @isaksbestpillow for providing English subs.

Kagari Ending
The Beast Tempts the Little Rabbit Keith vs Kagari Story Event
Warning: slightly nsfw suggestive (and Kagari’s kink at the end?), mentions of blood and trafficking
Minors DNI
Ep 1 | Ep 2 | Epilogue
Kagari: "Wait until there's more of a distance between you before you move. You wouldn't want to be found out so clumsily."
It was Kagari who held me back.
Emma: "But why are you...?"
Kagari: "I just happened to see him leave the dance hall."
(Despite me searching so much, he just had a passing encounter.)
Kagari: "Let's go."
Whispering, Kagari looped his arm around my waist as if escorting me and began to walk.
Emma: "Um, what are you doing...?"
Kagari: "Pretending we're lovers. Even if he notices us, his guard will be lowered if he sees a couple."
Emma: "Shouldn't we go call Prince Keith?"
Kagari: "No need. It's troublesome when he's around."
(Well, that's a problematic statement.)
While paying attention to my steps, we continue to follow the man.
Emma: "The person you’re really looking for isn't that man, is it?"
Kagari: "You got it. Well done, Princess."
(Given what I've seen of Kagari so far, he could just catch him immediately.)
Kagari: "I have business with the guy that man is contacting."
Emma: "...Are you going to take him back to your country?"
Kagari: "No, I'll make him disappear."
●●●●●● Flashback ●●●●●●
Kagari: "Don't worry, there won't be a war. We're just stopping a negotiation."
Kagari: "But, it's not so minor of an offense that we can just let things slide either."
●●●●●● Flashback End ●●●●●●
(I had a feeling it might’ve been something like that.)
Despite his casual tone, his words weighed heavily on my heart.
For a royal to come all the way to Jade to deal with a criminal, it must be an issue that couldn’t be resolved through discussion.
(But... is there really no other way?)
Man: "..."
(What? His pace seems slower than before.)
The feeling of unease suddenly turned into certainty, as the man came to an abrupt stopped.
As if he was about to turn around――
Kagari: "......"
I grabbed Kagari's arm and pushed him forcefully into a nearby room.
......
(Did he see us? Are we safe?)
I wanted to check through the gap in the door, but the chance of getting caught would defeat the purpose.
Kagari: "You certainly have a lot strength to push a trained man into a room, Princess."
Emma: "I often carry dozens of books at once, so that's probably why."
Kagari: "I see. You should continue that training to protect yourself in the future."
Kagari: "So, what do we do now? The footsteps are getting closer."
(...!)
(They ARE getting closer. Just how sharp is Kagari's hearing?)
I listen from the door and contemplate.
(The owner of the footsteps might not be a man, and I’m not even sure if they’re really heading towards this room.)
(Still, it’s better to hide just to be saf—Oh, of course there’s only a table and chairs!)
Perhaps because the room is rarely used, but there’s no furniture to hide behind.
(If they come into the room, I could pretend to faint... but what if it's a different person that comes in? That would be disastrous.)
Kagari: "Time's up, Princess."
Emma: “What...? Time's up?"
Kagari: “You can scream if you want, but don’t refuse.”
Emma: “Um, Kagari…? Wah!
I was pulled by the arm and suddenly felt weightless.
Kagari sat on a chair and placed me on his lap, facing him.
Kagari: “If there’s nowhere to hide, then we’ll just have to create a reason for us to be here.”
(So this position…)
(Is he suggesting we pretend to be lovers here too?)
His hand ran up my thigh as if lifting the hem of my dress, and I felt a heat surge through me.
(Right, I can't hesitate anymore! I have to do something!)
I made up my mind and wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.
Kagari: “They stopped in front of the door.”
(They found us out.)
Kagari: “…”
As I tensed up, my arms tighten around his neck and—
Emma: “Ah!”
A slight pain shot through my neck.
(Wait, did he just… bite me…?!)
Before I could understand what happened, I heard the door open from behind me.
Man: “Oh…”
Woman: “Eek!”
(A woman’s voice?)
Kagari pulled my head closer to his shoulder.
The sweet, fleeting scent of cherry blossoms made my heart strangely flutter.
Kagari: “We're in the middle of something. Get lost.”
His emotionless tone seemed to stoke fear in the intruders, as the man and woman quickly left the room.
(At least that man didn’t notice us, right?)
(That’s a relief. But still…)
I remembered the embarrassing sound I made and felt an urge to roll on the floor.
(Who would’ve thought I’d be bitten…?)
(I’m sure they all heard. The people who came into the room, and even Kagari…)
Emma: “--AH?! K-Kagari, you don’t have to pretend to be my lover anymore!”
I hastily grabbed the hand that had begun to stroke my thigh again.
Kagari tilted his head curiously...
Kagari: "Are you sure you’re okay with that?"
Kagari: "You didn't seem to want to get off, so I thought I should continue."
Emma: "I'm sorry, I'll get off now."
(Actually, it was rude of me to be lost in thought on a prince's lap in the first place.)
I hurriedly put my dangling feet back on the floor.
●●●●●● Flashback ●●●●●●
Kagari: "I have business with the guy that man is contacting."
Emma: "...Are you going to take him back to your country?"
Kagari: "No, I’ll just make him disappear."
●●●●●● Flashback End ●●●●●●
(....)
Seeing that I hadn't made any effort to get off, Kagari tilted his head slightly.
Emma: “…Can I ask you something?”
Kagari: “Yeah, go ahead.”
Emma: “What kind of crime did the person you’re looking for commit?”
Kagari: “Why do you want to know?”
Emma: “Both Rhodolite and Jade are countries that find taking away someone’s life unacceptable.”
Kagari: “Your quite knowledgeable, Princess.”
After staring at me for a moment, Kagari slightly hesitated before speaking again.
Kagari: “Human trafficking.”
Emma: “….”
Kagari: “That merchant colludes with orphanage directors, regularly selling children to nobles as tools for profit."
Kagari: "Even if there are laws in place, why should a second chance be given to someone who’s done nothing but evil?"
(Evil, as the name suggests, might be a term that's fitting for this.)
Emma: "The crimes of the merchant cannot be forgiven."
Emma: "But I believe everyone deserves a chance for redemption."
Emma: "I don't want them to die without knowing the severity of their crimes."
Kagari: "....."
Kagari: "Unfortunately, people who’ve had a taste of power tend to repeat their crimes."
Kagari: "Their crimes spread like stains and become irreparable as they continue."
(It sounds like he's speaking from personal experience...)
I was gently lifted up and placed back on the chair where Kagari was sitting.
Contrast to his words, he handled me as delicately as fragile glass.
Kagari: "Wait here, Princess."
Kagari: "People like you, who are so fixated on peace-making, will only get in the way."
With that, Kagari left the room without waiting for my response.
The painful silence felt like it was blaming me.
Taking a life could be considered the greatest crime.
But history has taught us that peace can only be attained through sacrifice.
(....It's natural to be perceived as complacent about making peace.)
(But before that, I should have understood the situation properly and not forced my thoughts onto him.)
Guilt weighed heavily on my chest.
Emma: "W-what... was that sound just now?"
Suddenly, I heard a loud noise from afar, as if something big had fallen, accompanied by a faint vibration.
(It came from the direction Kagari went.)
(...I'm sorry.)
As if shaking off my hesitation, my intuition urged me, and I dashed out of the room.
……
(What... is this?)
Upon entering the room where the intense noise emanated, I was met with a gruesome sight.
The floor and walls were stained red with splatters of blood, and there were heaps of people groaning and trembling in pain all around.
In the midst of it all, Kagari stood there calmly.
(There's so many of them lying on the floor. The people from earlier we're also on the ground.)
(Did Kagari take them all out in that short amount of time? And without a single scratch...)
Overwhelmed by the sudden surge of fear and discomfort, I leaned against the wall, feeling dizzy.
Kagari glanced over at me and casually flicked the blood off his sword.
Kagari: "You’re so fearless despite being weak, Princess."
Kagari: "But, that fine. It'll be over soon. Just stay quiet over there."
His indifferent tone only added to the tense atmosphere.
His emerald eyes fixed on the man with trembling legs.
He was probably the man Kagari was looking for, and surrounding him were a few mercenaries, glaring at Kagari with swords in hand.
Merchant: "Damn it... You actually came all the way to Jade to disrupt our negotiations."
Merchant: "Hey, how much are we paying you guys? Hurry up and finish him off!"
With the angry shout as a signal, the mercenaries rushed towards Kagari.
Kagari: "Don't get so frustrated. You're the one who wasted you money on them."
Kagari: "...But seriously, opponents this weak are hardly worth my time."
His heel slowly lifted off the ground.
It didn't take long for blood splatters and screams to fill the air.
The mercenaries fell without even knowing what had happened.
Kagari effortlessly wielded his sword, as if performing a dance in hell.
Then, one mercenary sneaked up behind Kagari and raised his sword.
(No...!)
Kagari: "...."
Before I could even think, my body moved instinctively, and I pushed the man's back with all my strength.
(I did it...! It’s all thanks to carrying those heavy books every day.)
Mercenary: "You bitch...!"
(...Uh oh.)
The enraged mercenary directed his attack towards me, and I brace myself.
Mercenary: "Guh...!"
(W...what?)
Before I realized it, the tip of the sword was protruding from the mercenary's side.
A few millimeters closer, and it would have surely reached my abdomen.
Kagari: "Are you incapable of waiting patiently like me, Princess?"
Kagari: "I won't stop you if you want to die, but don't mistake bravery for recklessness."
As the sword was pulled out, the last mercenary collapsed at Kagari feet.
Shortly after, I saw the merchant crumbling to his knees.
There was no trace of the vigor he had moments ago in his expression.
Merchant: "I... I'm sorry. It's my fault. I won't do this anymore."
Merchant: "So please, spare my life. I don't want to die... I'll give you all my money, everything, please..."
(How selfish...)
My hands clenched in anger as the merchant begged for his life, pressing his head against the floor.
Kagari: "..."
(Kagari...?)
I felt a slight sense of unease as he shook his head ever so slightly.
Meanwhile, the tip of the sword was directed towards the ceiling—
And without hesitation, descended directly towards the merchant's neck.
Keith: "Stop!!"
A sharp, low voice filled with anger, echoed in the room.
The sword stopped just as it touched the merchant's neck in response to Prince Keith’s voice.
I let out a shaky breath.
Kagari: "You've arrived just in time, Keith. How disappointing."
After glancing at Prince Keith and me, Kagari looked down at the merchant again.
Kagari: "It’s thanks to both of them that you narrowly escaped death."
Keith: "K-Kagari!"
Merchant: "Gyaaaah!!"
Amidst the merchant's blood curdling screams, I realized he was rolling on the floor, blood flowing from one of his eyes and his leg.
Even though Prince Keith was holding Kagari’s wrist that held his sword, Kagari‘s expression remained unchanged.
Kagari: "What's wrong? He's still alive."
Keith: "Even so, that doesn't mean you can just do anything you want."
Kagari: "You're still the same as ever."
Kagari: "That's why you always end up losing control."
Keith: "...!"
Kagari shook off Prince Keith's hand, wiped the blood off the sword, and sheathed it.
At the same time, knights hurriedly appeared with bustling footsteps,
Under Prince Keith’s instructions, they began to restrain the fallen individuals on the floor.
(...Is it over now?)
With the danger gone, my legs give out from under me as if the tension had been cut loose.
Prince Keith, who rushed over, squatted in front of me with a visibly worried expression.
Keith: "Emma, are you okay? Are you injured? Please tell me anything, no matter how small."
Keith: "...I'm sorry I came late."
Emma: "No, thank you. I'm not hurt, so there's no problem."
Emma: "I just sat down because I felt relieved. I'm sorry for causing a commotion."
I smiled to reassure him, and a sense of relief colored my golden eyes.
Knight: "Prince Keith."
Keith: “Ah, just a moment.”
Emma: "I'm fine, please go ahead."
Keith: "...Thank you."
With a hint of hesitation, Prince Keith headed towards the knights,
And as he passed by, Kagari approached me.
Just that, for some reason, my heart started to pound unpleasantly, and I felt breathless.
(Why am I suddenly feeling afraid of Kagari?)
Kagari: "..."
Emma: "...!"
His eyes looking down showed no emotion.
As if to prevent me from backing away, he stepped on the hem of my dress.
Kagari: "You tried to stop me and then you tried to help. Why are you running away?"
(My voice... won't come out.)
Kagari: "Cat got your tongue...?"
Kagari: "Yet, you talk normally with Keith... It feels lonely."
(Why... why does he sound so resentful?)
Just as Prince Keith did before, Kagari crouched down in front of me.
His emotionless face remained unchanged.
His expressionless emerald eyes remained the same.
(...But it's different.)
In his eyes, there was a viscous, syrupy heat that hadn't been there before.
Kagari: "If I kneel down and cutely meow like a cat, will I get your attention?"
The words were whispered as if to himself, and his wicked smile amplified the fear...
Kagari: "Princess."
(Ah....)
As his face approached, and his breath brushed against my neck—
With a sudden snap, everything went dark in front of my eyes.

[Episodes 3] Dreams Are Messages From The Deep
Tonight, you dream, and it is far from a pleasant one.
Once, your mother told you that dreams are messages from the deep, the mysteries of the universe, akin to precognition. But dreams are often uncertain, uncontrollable, and unpredictable. like omens or cryptic hints of what is yet to come, they are puzzles you must piece together yourself.
You see it again: the puzzles of fateful catastrophes and the unclear path of the future. Corpses are strewn across the floors of spacecraft and the ground. The dream flashes between these scenes, intertwining them as one, despite being at different times and places. You know it all means something—these deaths are all the work of the same person.
And then you encounter it...the embodiment of the dark shadow that has haunted you in your dreams for months.
Before, everything was shrouded in impenetrable darkness, like staring into the abyss where nothing could be seen but an endless void. But this time, the dream is different. Beneath the shadows, you begin to see the figure of that person—a tall, imposing figure dressed in a sleeveless black cloak that blends seamlessly with the surrounding darkness. His face is hidden behind a cracked metal helmet, with a terrifyingly wide grin etched across the lower half.
A familiar yet strange feeling stirs as you gaze at him, and beneath that thick mask, where no eyes are visible, you know he’s staring back at you.
A Jedi? That’s your first thought. But the red lightsaber in his right hand says otherwise. No, this is a Sith.
Suddenly, something within you screams, warning you to flee.
You instinctively start running, but you never get far. The energy around you envelops you, pushing you back into the darkness. You see his hand raised, drawing you in effortlessly. The lightsaber is gone now. It’s no longer needed. With just one hand, he could kill you easily, like crushing an insect.
In an instant, his strong hand is around your throat, squeezing the air from your lungs. Your eyes widen in terror, unable to breathe, as the blackness of death moves closer, leaving a whisper deeply embedded in your consciousness.
"I told you, you can't run away from me."
You scream and struggle, refusing to surrender, desperately searching for any way to survive.
Then you feel the cold steel of a blade in your hand, and instinctively, you know this is your only chance. Without hesitation, you lift the knife and thrust its sharp point toward his throat, determined to kill him before he kills you.
But your flickering hope extinguishes just as quickly when he catches your hand mid-strike. His deep, menacing laughter sends a shiver down your spine, and in that moment, you realize—this is yet another failure leading you toward your death.
And then, you wake up.
The knife is still in your hand, just like in the dream. But now, you're in your bedroom, not on a spaceship. There's no blood, no death, and before you is not the mysterious Sith but Qimir, his hand gripping yours tightly, the blade barely a hair's breadth away from his throat.
His expression is calm, composed, a stark contrast to your own, pale and shaken. "You had a nightmare," he says softly, gently easing the knife from your grasp. "Go back to sleep."
His voice is soothing and tender, gradually dispelling the lingering fear from the nightmare as your racing heartbeat slowly returns to a steady rhythm. Almost as if in a trance, you do as he says. You allow him to guide you back onto the bed, his hands warm and reassuring as they touch your face, lulling you back into the realm of sleep.
This time, you don’t dream at all.
Qimir isn’t joking when he says he will teach you.
He starts with the smallest details, such as distinguishing between dangerous and harmless people. "You wouldn’t want to pickpocket someone who could kill you, would you?" Qimir remarks, pointing out a dark-skinned man blending into the crowd with tattered clothes, his body concealed under a cloak. Yet, you can still glimpse a large scar on his upper arm. "That’s a bounty hunter. His gun is hidden under the cloak. These guys are quick. He’d shoot you before you could even touch his pocket." It is astonishing how Qimir can discern such details just by observing a person’s gait or how they carry their belongings.
The next lesson is about disguise—how to blend in so seamlessly that no one could ever recognize you. "You’ve done well so far in hiding yourself, but it’s not good enough to fool me," he says. His words seem mocking, but you can’t deny their truth. "You can’t spend your whole life running and hiding. The key is to accept who you are before you start lying about it. A lie can never become the truth, but you can learn to live with it."
"You talk like you’ve done this many times before," you retort, unable to resist teasing him. Yet deep down, you are curious too. He knows too much and is too skilled—as if he has intimate experience with such matters.
But Qimir doesn’t answer your question. He simply smiles at you. For a moment, you are slightly taken aback. His smile seems oddly familiar, as if you have seen it before, but you can’t quite place when or where.
"Let the lies be a part of you, but never let them consume who you are. No matter where you are or what role you pretend to play, never forget your true self."—This is the essence of Qimir's teachings, beyond the various techniques and tricks of disguise he has revealed to you.
There is a subtle weight in his words, something that hints at more than just instruction.
The last thing Qimir chooses to teach you, and what you find most difficult, is the art of combat—both armed and unarmed.
It isn’t that you have never learned to fight before. Alongside rigorous mental training, your mother also taught you how to use a knife. "Our lineage is one of fighters. A knife is like a part of our body. We fight from cradle to grave. If you can't wield a knife, you’ve wasted your heritage." Your mother’s words echo vividly in your memory as you twirl the knife in your hand, trying to recall and review the lessons you learned long ago.
"What are you waiting for?" Qimir’s voice snaps you back to the present. "Just holding a knife won’t make you win."
You look up to see him standing in the open field outside the quarters. Qimir looks different today, dressed in white instead of his usual dark colors. His shoulder-length hair, usually a wild mess, is neatly tied back into a tight ponytail. A challenging smile plays on his lips as he raises his right hand, brandishing a short knife, ready for battle at any moment.
You step toward Qimir cautiously, your bare feet feeling the rough earth and stones beneath you. The muscles in your body are fully alert, a reflex honed from the countless times you have been trained.
Yet none of your previous lessons have prepared you for a face-to-face fight with Qimir.
Qimir’s lessons are nothing like your mother’s. There is no compromise, no leniency, despite the fact that you are just a small woman. Every move he makes is forceful, direct, brutal, and potentially lethal if he truly intends to kill you.
Qimir strikes first; his attacks are relentless and unyielding. You barely manage to dodge, feeling the rush of air from his arm sweep past your face. The sharp blade grazes the tips of your hair, sending strands fluttering to the ground, where they land like droplets of blood.
You retaliate, thrusting your knife toward his ribs and abdomen, but Qimir blocks each attack with ease. The clash of metal rings out, sending shocks through your wrist up to your shoulder, the pain forcing you to grimace.
Both of you pull back, sweat beading on your faces, eyes locked in mutual assessment. You swallow hard, slowly circling to the side, seeking an opening that wouldn’t leave you vulnerable.
Qimir’s strength is his advantage, but yours is speed. You know that the longer this drags on, the worse off you’ll be. You have to act quickly and decisively—one swift, precise move is the only way to defeat him.
This time, you let Qimir come close, allowing him to initiate the attack. You twist your body to evade his knife, all the while searching for the perfect moment to strike back. The pressure from his relentless assault closes in on your thoughts, triggering your survival instincts. You love life. You don’t want to die, and you will not surrender easily.
You are cornered, and a cornered animal will do anything to survive.
Quick as thought, in the split second, Qimir is preparing his next attack. You flip the knife in your hand, aiming straight for his throat.
But then, everything changes. The scene before you shifts abruptly, overlaying itself with the dream from the night before. The sunlit ground turns into an endless void of darkness, and Qimir transforms into the mysterious masked man from your dream. You plunge your knife toward his throat, just as you did in the dream, and he catches your wrist with the same speed as before. The sound of mocking laughter fills your ears—cold and terrifying.
Fear surges within you as you once again face the hopeless truth—there is no way you can defeat him.
The vision ends abruptly as you lose your balance. The next thing you know, Qimir throws you to the ground with all his strength. Your back hits the earth hard before his towering frame pins you down completely. The sharp edge of his knife presses against your delicate throat, not hard enough to draw blood but enough to cause pain.
"You are distracted. If this were a real fight, you’d be dead by now."
He lifts the knife away but doesn’t move from above you. One of his hands brushes the disheveled hair from your face as he peers into your ink-blue eyes. "Something’s bothering you. Is it that dream?"
You press your lips together, fighting back tears. The lingering fear still clings to your mind, refusing to fade, and suddenly, you feel a surge of vulnerability. "Qimir, I don’t want to die."
Qimir stares at you, blinking in confusion, his expression full of bewilderment. "I haven’t done anything to you."
"You won’t, but others will," your voice trembles, on the verge of tears, yet not a single drop falls. "When you hand me over to those people, I’ll surely die."
Your words make him pause, a flicker of hesitation crossing his features.
He knows it can’t possibly be true. The client who hired through the Bounty Hunters' Guild had specified clearly: they want this woman alive. The client doesn’t care how you are captured, only that you are brought in breathing. This means they have no intention of killing you. In fact, it is likely that you are of some special importance, something too valuable to be lost.
That’s what has piqued his curiosity all along. What makes a seemingly ordinary woman so wanted? What makes you so convinced that you are going to die when nothing points to such a fate?
"Can you tell me why you think you’re going to die?" Qimir asks, his tone unusually serious and firm.
His intense gaze makes your breath catch. Decades of pent-up emotions linger on your lips. You want so badly to tell him everything—about yourself, your family, and your bloodline.
But your mother’s warning remains deeply rooted in your mind and heart. "Never trust anyone. Never reveal our secrets to a soul. Your trust will lead to ruin, not just for you but for everyone."
You close your eyes briefly, deliberately avoiding his penetrating gaze. "I can’t tell you," you whisper, a wave of guilt washing over you.
A heavy silence settles between the two of you, thick and suffocating. For a moment, you feel the intensity in Qimir’s eyes grow stronger, as if he is desperately trying to unearth the truth from you with his gaze alone.
The minutes that pass feel like an eternity. Finally, Qimir rises to his feet and extends his hand to you.
"Don’t worry. As long as you’re with me, you’ll be safe."
You grasp his hand and push yourself up, feeling the firm, steady warmth of his grip. There is something oddly comforting about it—a strength that almost makes you forget your fears.
You can tell that Qimir is frustrated, though he isn’t the type to yell or complain. On the contrary, whenever something troubles him or when he is dissatisfied, he grows silent, his expression unreadable, almost emotionless. You have spent enough time with him to recognize the signs, and you dislike this side of him intensely. You would almost prefer if he just yelled at you outright.
You remain standing where you are, confusion and turmoil swirling within you as you watch his broad back retreat into the house, disappearing behind the old wooden door.
Deep down, you want to trust him, but you aren’t sure if you can really place your faith in this man.

I had never encountered this kind of question before. I neither had time to study it in advance nor had the chance to skim through the sample questions. The bell had rung to signal the beginning.

yo recently I heard that Naruto is the one who said "Usuratonkachi" to Sasuke first when they were little in school.
I assume this was added later on in the story, but if Naruto basically coined it first and Sasuke picked it up later, that would add extra cuteness to their bond
but since you can read the original jp script for the manga, I figured you might be able to check on the validity of that in the manga.
I don't quite know if it's filler for the anime or not~
thanks and sorry for taking up your time
It was in ch. 538 I've already talked about it here , here , and here
In the anime it was in ep. 277
On the first day they fought at the academy, the words Naruto said to him, ``Usuratonkachi''... maybe those words had a surprisingly strong impact on Sasuke. To begin with, Sasuke has nothing to do with the image of "Usuratonkachi". All the time the fans screamed "Sasuke is so cool/Sasuke is so awesome", Naruto was the first person to call Sasuke "usuratonkachi" and directly swears at him. He listened intently to the nonsense Naruto spewed out and began to make it his own.[it shows that Sasuke remembered that encounter very well]. We all know how Sasuke observed Naruto since childhood and he started thinking/worrying about him a lot.
During their first encounter, Naruto provoked Sasuke by saying "Usuratonkachi". Their match ended when Sasuke pushed Naruto down and raised his fist.
And without making any sign of reconciliation with each other.
Sasuke left the village, and Naruto, who chases him desperately finally catches up with him in the Valley of the End. The two of them standing face to face in the Valley of the End... And Sasuke greets Naruto with "usuratonkachi"
When Naruto says that the others are risking their lives for him...Sasuke sarcastically said, "What a (pointless) effort" or "you're working so hard for nothing." It provoked Naruto, and made him jump at him and raise his fist... and hit him. (This is the opposite of what happened on their first meeting)
What's really interesting is that the place they chose to part ways was on top of a stone statue of Madara and Hashirama with the "Seal of Confrontation". Sasuke &Naruto only did the "Seal of Confrontation", but what they really wanted was:
Because of their ego's they couldn't do the sign before. They always wanted to be friends, even if they couldn't admit it out loud. Both admired and liked each other. But they couldn't accept and come to terms with how they felt inside.
He couldn't kill Naruto….he even got chances to do that… but it was something he couldn't do. After the Vote 1 fight, Sasuke had to sealed the word ``Usuratonkachi'' for a long time. Because, over the time "Usuratonkachi'' gradually became a word that acknowledge the existence of Naruto. And the word completely acknowledging "Naruto's competitive nature''
As for Vote 2, I've talked about it here and here
A long time ago, Naruto gave Sasuke the Usuratonkachi as a ``Sign of Confrontation,'' but Sasuke gave it back to Naruto as a ``Sign of Reconciliation". This final battle between Naruto and Sasuke is also a battle in which Sasuke accepts and acknowledges his own weakness (his desire to connect with Naruto).

Another Nuzi rant. Don't mind me
Spoilers, duh
Since I've already done a quick character study/nuzi rant from N's side. Here's one from Uzi's side!
This is probably gonna be just me repeating things people have already said... again. But I love Uzi. (Just like every other character in Murder Drones, honestly.) But Liam did a wonderful job of making an angsty, emo girl, borderline maniac that we know as Uzi. Her character, to me at least, never became the annoying overdramatized and overused stereotype that follows her style. She has real reasons for being the way she is.
A loner, whose dad loves nothing but doors. School is not different, as her classmates pretty much forget about her existence on a day to day basis. No one to talk to, no one to connect with, gives her the angsty side that I absolutely adore. Because underneath all of that toughness is just a lonely little drone who was left by herself since early age. But guess who comes in and busts down those walls (literally and figuratively)?
Our good boi N! Despite their rough start, N never really gave Uzi a reason not to trust him. Their chance encounter, and a broken sensor, allowed them to have the talk that might have never happened. Their beginning might have been a lucky accident, but for the rest of the season, we can see how both sides had to work to make well... Nuzi work!
For Uzi, asking for help is like asking for a death sentence probably. After being on her own for so long, she doesn't expect anyone to help. With that information in mind, the first time she let's that wall crumble was episode 2, Heartbeat.
"Uzi, shoot! Or give it to me!"
Granted, we all know that was not our N. But in that moment, when Uzi was in an enough distressed state, she sought help in N. We all know how that ended, though. Absolute Solver took advantage of that and almost killed her, before N once again sweeped in to save her. The one and only notorious Nuzi misunderstanding was, for better or for worse, cleared up pretty quickly. Seeing as glitchproduction only has so much money at their disposal, they can't really drag this ordeal out. Personally, I'm glad that it didn't. The long drama that is just a misunderstanding after misunderstanding gets quite tedious to follow.
So, moving forward in The Promening, Uzi once again seeks out N when she's in distress. When she sees and hears about what Doll and Lizzy were gonna do, she books it to the only person she knows can help her.
N! Now don't get me wrong. Uzi, by herself is plenty strong. She's shown off her fighting and capabilities, and would have probably been able to take V on. She's taken J down before, aaaand Uzi does technically also take V down in Cabin Fever. But she still went out of her way to go find N. So they could work together and get this mess sorted out.
And then there's this. God I love Cabin Fever, and surprisingly no, not for the Falling.... for you? scene. No, I loved the entire Uzi going on murder spree because she can! The music was such a banger too. But back to Uzi. She recognizes V and briefly snaps back to her usual self. Curious isn't it? N and Uzi both tried reaching out to V, but because V is so untrusting (and we all understand why from ep 5, Home). Here Uzi tried to ask V for help... in form of N.
I find it interesting how ever since Uzi met N and V, she's been getting better at asking for help. Sure, V shot her down because, once again, V was scared. Uzi was turning into the monster that only Cyn has been capable of creating. This soon leads to N yeeting Uzi into the f*cking stratosphere and the two have a chat.
I love how the animators included Uzi hiding behind her bat wings.
Her metaphorical walls were back up. And guess who broke them yet again.
The bestest boi N! And ever since this moment, N and Uzi are way more open.
Episode 5 was taking place in N's memories. But episode 6 is where their trust and care shines. Yeah, sure, there was the hand holding. And it was a big moment! But I enjoyed the little things more. Uzi checking in on N, nodding at his little comments and jokes.
Summary: I love Nuzi. Send help they're on my mind 24/7.

Damon and DJ Koze, Pure Love Pure Love is the first single from German DJ and producer DJ Koze’s upcoming album, Music Can Hear Us (out April 4, 2025). DJ Koze is a fan of Damon - you might remember his great remix of the Gorillaz track Humility and his contribution to Arte’s 2021 documentary The Magic Voices of Pop, where he shared his admiration for Damon’s voice.
The enigmatic press release says that the collaboration was born from an unexpected encounter in a salt mine in Peru, where DJ Koze and Damon Albarn crossed paths by chance (imagine that!)
The Pure Love EP, releasing on December 20, will include two additional versions of the track (Night Version and Day Version).
Damon: This tune has been through a profound metamorphosis over the last few years. I loved it as an egg, I loved it as a caterpillar, I loved it as a pupa, and I still love it. Thank you, Koze.
DJ Koze: In a fashion of proper slow cooking and letting go, we finally came up with this lovely song. If you’re in a hurry, go slowly as they say. Thank you Damon for walking this path with me.

If Only We Knew
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Sinopsis: Fizzaroli and Blitzø thought their mutual friend was lost in the flames that consumed the circus. Until now..
Contents; Season 2 Ep 6 spoilers, references to the fire, and severe injuries, trauma, platonic relationships, gender neutral
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
They were sure that fire had destroyed everything.
Fizzaroli lost his best friend, suffered excruciating burns, almost died. He was able to pick himself up, though. The loss, the pain- it never went away, but he made room for it. Now, even with the memories, and the scars, he's found someone who loves him unconditionally. He's been successful, and is happy.. For the most part. His encounter (and subsequent make-up) with Blitzø made Fizzaroli realize just how isolated his recovery process was.. And how there's more he could be missing.
Blitzø, of course, is under the impression that everyone he cares about is either dead or will never speak to him again. In his mind, it only made sense. He was the reason everyone around him lost everything. He was so sure. But then he had the chance to actually talk with Fizzaroli. He had the chance to apologize, and get the story straight.
Neither of them has been able to shake the feeling that something was missing. Fizz was told never Blitzø came, and Blitzø was told Fizz never wanted to see him. The 15 years they lost was because of a miscommunication- and the fact that someone didn't want them seeing each other.
The two of them know better than to get their hopes up. They know better than to count on something so unlikely. But.. if all these years, neither of them knew the whole truth, maybe.. maybe it means you're still out there, too. It wasn't that far fetched.. right?
Luckily, their hunch was right. Blitzø, being as persistent as he is, was determined to find something, anything, that would give him answers. And eventually, he found exactly what he was looking for.
After 15 long years, he sees you again. He couldn't stop himself from rushing to you, sobbing and apologizing profusely. After he calmed down and was able to explain himself, he contacted Fizz.
The three of you were finally reunited. Fizz and Blitzø couldn't stop crying. They were sure you'd been lost to them forever. There are still some questions that need answers, but right now, catching up is the top priority. Blitzø and Fizz want so badly to make up for lost time, if you'll let them.

The Beauty of Subtlety and Change: A Deep Dive [We Are EP. 12]
As more episodes come out every week, I fall more and more in love with this series. I know when the trailer came out, there were some people that we off put by "another university/engineering student" series, or weren't as enthusiastic about the comedy being present in the series, I think that's fair since everyone has their own preferences and qualms with how past series have approached this genre, but I truly believe once people give it a chance and start to watch the further episodes, I start realizing how intentional and well crafted the character development has been with each introduction of a new story arc or group dynamic. Eventually I want to dissect more parts of the series that I resonated with, but the first definitely has to be Tan and Fang's development as the series progresses.
One thing I appreciate about the handling of these two characters, which I continue to give my flowers to Aou and Boom. This is my first time watching them in a series (I was only familiar with Pond and Phuwin from Never Let Me Go, as well as Tee when he played a supporting role in Only Friends), and I instantly fell in love with their on screen characters, but eventually the actors themselves as the series progressed. Both actors do an amazing job portraying the personalities of their characters and their distinct differences between their past and present selves, where the performance is well thought out without being too over the top which is what the sound effects are for hahaha.
In episode 12, the conversation between Tan and Fang caught my attention the most, especially when I rewatched episodes in my free time while waiting for new episodes to drop. When Tan shares his story with the gang about how Fang and him met during episode 9, you wouldn't have even thought both of them would be as hot headed as they were in high school versus how we were introduced to them as university students in the first few episodes.
These exchanges with Fang reflected Tan's past self well: a smart ass, condescending, provoking. I think the juxtaposition between past Tan and present Tan really shows itself when we see how Tan speaks about Fang in private now that they're an established couple: compassionate, attentive, loving. Aou does an amazing job with his microexpressions, saying a lot without saying anything at all.
Episode 9 vs. Episode 12
What was even more of a shock to me was the introduction of Fang's past self, completely opposite of how we were introduced to him in the first few episodes. High school Fang was also just as condescending and hot headed, which was later revealed by Tan that he only punched Fang back to save face on the field with other people around. But can we please address how much of a menace Fang is from that expression alone?
Episode 9
To think that present Fang, someone observant, reliable, and introverted, used to be someone blunt, confrontational and spiteful only reinforced my belief in the evolution of individuals: that a person of their past is in fact, the same person in the present, that not everyone should be tied down to the person they used to be and to make room for the person they're aiming to become. I noticed the shift in their perception of one another when we watch the second half of the flashback after Tan helps Phum and Fang escape an ambush.
Episode 9
This becomes one of my favorite Tan moments so far (as of episode 12): the defining moment of his innate character as selfless, courageous, and heroic. That despite how Tan felt about Fang after their first encounter and the many other arguments and fights to come, that never crossed Tan's mind when he first witnessed the confrontation: that his natural instinct was to help. He further reinforces this value when Phum asked him why he helped them, Tan answering: "I don't believe in dirty tricks."
Episode 9
After Tan's true character redefines itself in Fang's eyes as this asshole that instigated an argument with him for no reason actually has a heart of gold? We also see this shift in perception between Tan as he witnessed Fang's brotherly nature helping Phum with his injuries, later creating a core memory between the three as both of them let their guards down and mutually accept: "You know, this is all turning out way different than what I expected and...I'm not mad at it." In my humble opinion not that I find helping people/aiding people to be an extremely attractive trait in someone, this planting of the seed that leads up to their own way of flirting and eventually becoming a couple makes sense and as Q says: "You're totally rivals-to-lovers". The ability to protect and help others is a strong trait to have, and this makes sense once Fang begins to open up to Tan about his home life.
When Fang seeks out Tan during episode 12 after seeing his brother and father argue, the best way I could put Fang's complicated feelings into words: survivor's guilt. Fang reaffirms this idea through sharing:
"The moment he returned from abroad, I could still remember the look in his eyes clearly. It has remained my trauma until today."
As someone who identifies with Phum and his upbringing in being the lesser favored child by our parents, having a sibling grow up alongside you being raised by the same-but-different parents is a difficult pill to swallow on both ends, especially as we get older and begin to realize how intense and traumatic that experience can be when we reflect back on childhood, often times manifesting into resentment as we see with Phum and his parents currently in the story. On how real those discrepancies become when intervention and self reflection occurs, on quite frankly, how shitty it is to finally see the ugly truth after disregarding reality or protecting (intentionally or not) those who are the root causes of the pain and suffering.
I resonate with Phum and his journey in learning how to express himself in effective ways that can be heard through the ears of others, even though our childhood made us believe that we're not worthy of bare minimum love and attention, that we're bound to be misunderstood. A lot of Phum's tendencies at the beginning make sense for someone dealing with childhood trauma and abandonment issues cause same here, resulting in isolation, disconnection, and eventually waking up surviving every day instead of living every day. Something I personally battle with in my daily life that I'm sure Phum can relate to: "If my own parents can't support and love me unconditionally, who can and who will? Will I even experience that one day? And if I do, how long will it take until it's taken away from me?" Fang also brings up this same insecurity when opening up to Tan:
"Though I act unreasonable and don't behave well sometimes, if one day you feel you no longer want to be with me, just tell me straight. Because if you disappear, I would be in so much pain."
I'm sure once Fang really understood the effects of Phum's treatment by his parents, his need and "role" to protect and care for Phum intensifies, the conflict between pleasing his parents while also pleasing and helping his brother becomes burdensome to the point where he disregards his own feelings in order to "keep the peace." Although these methods seem rational and effective in the moment, it's only a matter of time before the methods become obsolete and unsustainable, and the foundation built on sticks and desperation to remedy the pain and chaos collapses. Then what finally remains is someone who's scared of the unknown, scared of reentering the same detrimental period of preparing for peace time and war time, someone who regulated themselves through adapting hypervigilance and eventually, general anxiety (as someone diagnosed with anxiety, Fang's moments of overwhelm and "dramatic" all or nothing statements are clear as day to overthinkers), someone who realizes that he can't save everyone, and that's a horrifying feeling to accept once you subject yourself to being the peacemaker.
Episode 12
Being able to see how Tan eases Fang's anxiety (which is well depicted in Boom's acting cause I know that feeling of wanting to be brave and express the truth and trying not to cry through it) was incredibly sweet and became one of my favorite moments the two share. That outside of Tan's go lucky, hyper, and expressive self (who used to be this closed off person that only began really changing once his friends gave him an ultimatum to quit fighting or their friendship ends and poor Peem having to find out the truth of Tan's injuries that wasn't from a bike accident LOL) is an emotionally intelligent, understanding, and aware individual that only wants what's best for his loved ones in the moment. Rather than only hearing Tan's reassurances, which is a result of losing faith in other people and dealing with their lack of credibility in their words versus their actions, we see this during Phum's argument with his father when he double downed:
"I'm paying attention to you now. Everything I've done is for you."
When you hear everything in the book and fail to not only see real action, but accountability and seeking of forgiveness through apologizing is like pulling teeth with some generation of parents, so I truly believe the reaction Phum exhibited was expected. When there's no true understanding of the effects a parent's decision had on a child, there's no foundation put in place to accept and move forward. Skipping steps such as reflection, apologizing, and accountability and getting straight to what you think your child wants is not only disregarding: it's insulting. Given that Phum experienced many iterations of this throughout his childhood, I can only imagine Fang experiencing this secondhand or through witnessing his younger brother dealing with these hardships. When words stop having meaning, the weight of people's words can only hold so much value for individuals that deal with anxious tendencies. In my words: "I need to see it to believe it."
Not only does Tan verbally reassure Fang and telling him not to overthink, he also extends this same sentiment through physical touch. Hand holding, grabbing him by the shoulders, poking his nose, hugging, any moment to be playful with Fang. Growing up with an absent parent usually means an overall lack of physical affection, which can feel unfamiliar or foreign and become even more meaningful to those to express their love and adoration through physical touch, which you can see throughout the scene as Tan's reassurance is calming Fang down and finally bringing him to smile for the first time during their conversation.
For all the people who believed that Fang wasn't showing affection enough for Tan and that he didn't like Tan as much as Tan liked him: I will defend Fang like no other because I identify with him. I'm not one to have a track record on expressing my love for others through physical touch (which doesn't mean I despise it, I just simply forget that's another form of affection I'm allowed to express), which doesn't discount Fang's expression of love and writing him off as unaffectionate simply because Tan has established his primary love language to be physical touch. We see Fang's affection and reciprocation of affection most through quality time and acts of service, such as him allowing Tan to help him with his architecture projects or keeping him company, or Fang trying to reach Tan through phone to see him after a rough time with his professor and ready to beat up whoever upset his babe, or Tan waiting for Fang to finish class for them to go eat dinner together. Fang has also exhibited his love and affection through buying Tan little treats or making him his only mastered recipe spaghetti which Tan will never complain about because it's the thought that counts.
It may not seem as overt and obvious as Tan's expression of love, but we can't deny Fang's love for him that's simply a quieter version of love. Just because it's different, it doesn't make one invalid versus the other, look at his smile from him being around his silly little boyfriend. But as time goes on as these two strengthen their bond as a couple, we can already see how Tan's habits and antics rub off on Fang through playful exchanges. Although Fang is more shy about expressing his feelings, it becomes a beautiful balance of your ideal golden retriever-black cat relationship and a wonderful representation of how successful couples become with candid communication, understanding, and reassurance.
Ok I think I got everything out on the hill I'll die on now, so if you've made it this far, I hope I entertained you enough and left you with from food for thought, but I also appreciate your engagement if you have any thoughts! author’s note: tbh, I’ve only watched 2 eps so far but I had to write something with her. I don’t know anything about the series so forgive me if there are inaccuracies.
𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 ⋅ 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲
Booming music shakes the walls of the old, brick building as you make your way to the storage room. You’ll be amazed if the orgy goers don’t drink their way through all the liquor before the night even properly begins. You heard someone mention something about midnight and rain. You pray your boss will let you go home before all hell breaks loose.
You unlock and shove open the storage room door with a sigh. This was not really your kind of scene. You could handle yourself in a bar and catered events, you’d worked plenty of them before but an orgy? You don’t know why you signed yourself up for this. Sure, the money was good but the moment you stepped foot into the abandoned facility, the hair on the back of your neck stood up.
The room was dank and barely lit as you graze the various shelves for a case of Glenfiddich. You find the last case on the floor near the back of the room when the storage room door creaks and then shuts with a bang.
Fear prickles your skin.
It’s probably some horny couple looking for a secret place to get off. Still, you clear your throat before nervously calling out, “Hello?”
You scream when a masked skull turns the corner of one of the shelves. You walk backward until a coarse brick wall catches your clothing and halts your retreat.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” A gentle voice says from beneath the mask. The woman is draped in a hooded, sparkly red cape that barely covers her body. The black lingerie she’s wearing underneath leaves little to the imagination.
You clutch your chest as you’re taken aback by the stunning blonde when she unties her mask and reveals herself.
“I couldn’t help myself.” She admits, stepping closer before setting down her mask on one of the shelves. “I saw you from across the room and I…” she trails off looking at you as if she’s seeing the sky for the first time.
“Oh my. Aren’t you precious?” She coos, stepping closer. Blonde hair frames her face like a halo although something in your gut told you she wasn’t an angel.
Your breath catches in your throat. You’ve never seen such a beautiful woman so up close before.
“What are you doing in such a place?” She ponders with curious eyes. They travel the length of your body and back again. Something wicked and dark encases those hazel orbs making you swallow down the lump in your throat.
Your cheeks burn as you stumble over your words. “Bartender- I’m a bartender.” You catch your bottom lip with your teeth and tug unconsciously on it. Your flight response kicks into high gear as the lady in red seals the gap between your bodies.
You whimper as she presses her barely clothed frame against yours. The brick wall behind you leaves no chance of escape as your heart bangs steadily against your ribs.
“Shh. There’s no need to be nervous.” She states softly while cupping your chin in her palm. She drags a perfectly manicured thumb across your bottom lip and tenderly releases it from your teeth. “You’re something I rarely encounter.”
You’re frozen in place, like a deer in headlights, waiting for the inevitable when she leans in and time stops. She brushes her lips over yours, so tender and soft, you try to keep the whimper that bubbles up at bay but to your embarrassment, it escapes.
She pulls away with a grin. “You really are precious.” The apple of your cheek is warm under her thumb as she rubs the soft patch of skin. “So sweet. I’d love to hear you sing.”
Your brow quirks until you feel her hand sliding down your belly. She catches your wild eyes in a firm stare. “Tell me to leave and I will.” She states while lifting the hem of your skirt and snaking her hand beneath the material. “Or will you allow me to experience your seraphic nature?”
Your core clenches as she palms your mound when you don’t send her away. Her nails drag playfully over the thin cotton of your panties before she tugs them to the side and finds your molten heat. An illicit sob tears from your lips as she teases your dipping folds with deft fingers.
She strums your core with expertise leaving you a wanton mess in her grasp. Her thumb circles your clit with tight movements, drawing your bliss out and into the open. Your mouth drops in an ethereal sound as she takes you apart with ease.
She smothers her body over yours, her lingerie covered breasts close to spilling as she secures you against the brick wall even harder. “Such pretty sounds from such a pretty girl.”
She laves at the softness of your neck, feeling the pulsating beat beneath the thin flesh as she drowns you in pleasure. Her tongue leaves a hot, wet trail over your neck and down your clavicle as you shake under her lewd touch.
Two deft fingers curl their way into your soaked channel, spreading and molding your warmth to her liking. She rubs along your velvet walls, finding which spots make you shiver and which make you sing the loudest for her.
“It’s fun tasting the other side, isn’t it?” She asks despite your impending rapture. Her hazel eyes glimmer with wickedness. “The grime. The debauchery.”
Wet, sticky thwaps fill the room as she spreads you open. She drinks down every moan and gasp that tumbles from your lips as she fucks with her fingers you into abandon. She tips your head to her chest as she pulls one of her breasts free from a lacy lingerie cup.
“But you’re one of the good ones, aren’t you?” She claims as she feeds you a firm breast. You groan into her flesh and suckle the nipple she offers. You twirl your tongue around the pert bud and relish the soft gasp that she lets loose.
“That’s a good girl.” She praises while stroking the base of your skull and scissoring her fingers against your slick walls. Your essence drips down your thighs, staining and marking your skin but you could care less as this strange woman makes you feel things you never have before.
She hooks her fingers and grazes that spongy spot behind your clit and your body goes ridged. Every nerve in your body sings, wanting to cry out and praise her for choosing you. Your hands lock onto her shoulders, too afraid to let go, worried that if you move she’ll disappear and it’ll all have been a dream.
“It’s alright.” She coos, her eyes growing soft as your core quivers around her digits. “Let go, my precious girl. I’ve got you.”
The knot buried deep in your belly snaps. You come with a raspy wail against her chest, riding out your bliss on her fingers while she holds you in her arms.
She sucks her two cream coated fingers into her mouth and cleans them with a moan. Your mind goes numb at the image and you do your best to not crumble to her high-heeled feet.
“I must return to the party now.” She says, fixing the skull mask back over her face. She stares at you from behind the mask for a silent moment before weaving an arm around your back and tugging you with her toward the door.
“You’re not supposed to be here. This isn’t the place for someone like you. Leave while you can.” Her tone left no room for argument even though you knew you were still on the clock.
You catch yourself on the door frame and spin on your heel, catching her otherworldly gaze. “Will I see you again?”
The lady in red smiles under her mask. “One day.”
