HEAR ME OUT, Shen Yuan transmigrating. The System tells him that he is not dead and he is passed between Systems to a very wholesome one but who probably doesn't even know how to do all the job properly, because even though he is not dead-dead he started the process of transmigration, but hahaha you know, his body is still alive

And Shen Yuan opens his eyes and is at Qing Jing Peak. Ok. He can process that. It makes sense that with his serial hater ways he ended up there. Yeah. Definitely.

Then a twenty-something Ning Yingying asks if shidi is okay (and ignoring the fact that he is an average cannon fodder disciple) and Shen Yuan is like, with his brain not braining for a minute. I mean, IT'S NING YINGYING!! IN HER TWENTIES! AT THE AGE THAT SHE SHOULD BE MARRIED TO LUO BINGHE!! WHAT IS SHE STILL DOING AS QING JING'S DISCIPLE?

Ning Yingying is sweet, a smart and kind shijie and Shen Yuan is having an internal collapse. Luo Binghe hasn’t left the Endless Abyss yet? Well, obviously not. The Cang Qiong Sect is up and running. So, how long does he have until Luo Binghe emerges from the Abyss and devastates the entire sect? A month, a week, a day?

Distant and not at all alert, he is having his internal-external breakdown when a kind voice cares for him.

The kind voice turns out to be the freaking fucking scum villain Shen Qingqiu and Shen Yuan might as well die right there. He is afraid that Shen Qingqiu might give him a hard time and humiliate him or even assault him… But Shen Qingqiu is, kind? Worried, protective. Why is the young disciple crying? Can this Shizun do something?

And Shen Yuan, well, he collapses more. What the hell. What the fuck.

Luckily, he is left alone again. His thoughts give him hope for, well... If Shen Qingqiu is more kind, maybe he wouldn't even throw Binghe into the Abyss? Maybe Luo Binghe is still White Lotus' disciple, Shen Yuan won't die and the entire sect will still stand?

He... He thinks he can live with that. Of course. Damn, who screwed up the characters like that? What the fuck did they do to them? He's mad about that, so much wasted lore! So much untraveled abyss and resentments that made the protagonist prove himself to be powerful and capable despite everything!!

... Yeah, well. Neither the kind Shen Qingqiu nor the personality-driven Ning Yingying make Shen Yuan ready to see Binghe, LUO BINGHE, THE STALLION PROTAGONIST, making puppy dog eyes and openly flirting with his scum villain Shizun.

Yea. Yea. Shen Yuan needs to lie down for a minute. Please.

Scenario where PIDW Bingge had something like the fucked up baby dimension from Fire Emblem: Fates for handling his kids.

For those who haven't played enough Fire Emblem games: in Fates you can hook up various characters who will, once they've bonded sufficiently, get married and have children. Because there is a dangerous war on and nobody has time for childcare, these babies get sent to various pocket dimensions where time moves differently, where they are raised by servants. They then reappear in the story as adults (mostly) who are also just like, barely younger than their own parents. This is of course hilariously fucked up, for even more reasons than what a simple overview can convey, and it's also just kind of shrugged off by the narrative despite the many, many bewildering implications involved.

So I'm imagining Airplane stealing this whole concept and sitting down to write about Bingge sending all of his children away in order to protect them from his enemies or whatever other excuse, creating special nursery dimensions with Xin Mo only to not really spend any time with his offspring at all, resulting in a lot of them growing up extra fast and reentering the story as adults at wildly unpredictable intervals (i.e. whenever Airplane feels like it without having to remember the timelines involved because *waves hand* time passes differently in the different dimensions too). For the daughters, this just gets them married off into alliances (if they're even mentioned at all, because Airplane doesn't want to write incest and there's basically only one reason female characters get mentioned in this story), but for the sons, this usually has them showing up as upstart challengers to their father's throne. With a conclusion, generally, of them getting their asses kicked and then being sent back to their pocket dimensions with their tails between their legs (Binghe killing his own kids would be too reprehensible, after all). Sometimes (rarely) they become loyal generals. One or two have died to fuel revenge arcs. The protagonist halo extends only limited benefits to his kids.

Anyway, Shen Yuan of course reads all of this and absolutely hates it. What do you mean Binghe doesn't even raise his own kids?! What do you mean even their mothers don't?! Shen Yuan understands that Luo Binghe is an important guy with important things to do, but handling it this way makes it impossible to even consistently visit his children on their birthdays! They'd be having birthdays every day because they're all on freaking Narnia time! And of course his sons keep growing up and trying to overthrow him, surely Binghe himself should appreciate that under these conditions, his children are going to see the servants raising them as parents more than some distant emperor they've never met...? Not to mention, if time moves quickly in these dimensions, theoretically Binghe could just stay there with his kids himself and not have to worry too much about things changing in his realm, because only a few months would pass there! He could have it both -- spend plenty of time with his kids and not worry about neglecting his responsibilities! So why doesn't he do that?!

The answer (never actually provided by Airplane) is that Bingge doesn't really feel a strong connection to his children, and because of his reverence for his adoptive mother, he thinks that giving them peaceful lives with simple people to raise and love them is the kindest thing he can do for them. If he could have had an idyllic childhood with his mother in a place where nothing could harm him, he would have never sought power at all.

But of course, Binghe's kids aren't thinking "oh gosh yeah my humble childhood in a magic dimension was much better than starving on the streets!" because that wasn't ever going to be their fate in the first place. Instead they all develop varying complexes about being sent away by their impossibly remote father and his giant harem.

Possible fic ideas involving this setup:

-Bingyuan where Shen Yuan transmigrates into the intended tutor of one Luo Binghe's most troublesome sons. SY arrives in the baby dimension and immediately bonds with the little Luo, gets really mad about the whole situation all over again, and when Bingge shows up for a rare visit, rips him a new asshole about it. Romcom shenanigans ensue.

-Scenario where SV's Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe decide they're ready to adopt, and SQQ figures out a back door into PIDW Binghe's baby dimensions and just sort of, ehm, borrows some of the children he knows had really bad times in the novel (not all of the idyllic upbringings worked out, there were instances of the dimensions being attacked and the servants there being killed and etc). Bingge eventually finds out. Dramatics ensue.

-When PIDW Binghe tries to summon a Shen Yuan of his own to the PIDW world using Xin Mo, it accidentally creates some stability issues with the baby dimensions. Shen Yuan get teleported in and out of these dimensions instead, bonding with the kids there to various degrees, only to be swept away every time Bingge tries to use Xin Mo to find him again. A handful of years later, a bunch of new Heavenly Demon scions emerge as adults with the Luo family's Shizun Complex in full swing, right around the same time that Bingge finally captures Shen Yuan. Hijinks ensue.

The Tragedy of Qijiu; Analysis

aka: reason why Yue Qingyuan and Shen Jiu make me ugly sob

1. the things left unsaid

the most poignant part of the novel for this ship is this line: "Too late. It was already too late! Shen Jiu was no longer here. He would never again be able to hear Yue Qingyuan’s words, never ever.”

and again, in the character notes: "He (sy) is no longer the intended recipient of this favor. Yue Qingyuan will have to find his own closure, as the person he looks for behind the new Shen Qingqiu’s eyes will no longer return.”

READ THAT SHIT. READ IT. ISNT IT TRAGIC???

ygy and sj spent their whole lives since they were little kids with unspoken words between them, longing glances, misunderstandings and hidden affections. you know who else does that? THE MAIN COUPLE OF SCUMS VILLAIN: luo binghe and shen yuan.


EXCEPT

we get to watch them fix their misunderstanding. we get to watch binghe realize he was never hated for his heritage. we get to watch shen yuan realize he is saved from retribution for sins he never committed. this is a privilege qijiu never gets.

the worst part? they almost get it.

because yue qingyuan does, in (what he believes are) his final moments, try to communicate. it's the beautiful cliche "im dying so ill tell you everything" except its not beautiful because the person he needs to tell is GONE. he was gone the whole time and YUE QINGYUAN DOESNT EVEN KNOW:

like yeah, the person you love dying is tragic. but its even more tragic that they were so distant he cannot even tell shen jiu and shen yuan apart. he will never know his beloved is gone from the world; he is not even awarded the privilege to mourn

and he can NEVER know. sy is literally prohibited by the system from telling him. so happens is:

can you IMAGINE? he got into cultivation to save his xiao jiu from the qiu manor. he failed. he became the leader of the sect to be a man shen jiu could one day respect. shen never respects him (even shen yuan canonically is like "dude wtf? this is the sect leader; shen jiu treats him so disrespectfullt?") . yue qingyuan tries to protect shen jiu from luo binghe - fails. tried to save him after receiving his two legs in the mail but failed and died trying. tries to save shen yuan - shows up too late and shen yuan gets poisoned without a cure. tries to take on debt for shen yuan - shen yuan wins the spirit stones. tries to fight mobei jun - fails and shen jiu falls into depression because he lost binghe due to his failure. tried to lock up a heavenly demon - succeeded! but that ultimately led to the birth of the even stronger heavenly demon who goes on to torture his beloved for a decade.

yue qingyuan is a man in power without the power to succeed at the one thing he needs to.

conversely, shen jiu, a little slave with no name or power changed his live. when yqy needed him, shen jiu selflessly stepped in danger's way and saved him successfully. yqy never repays his debt even though he tries so hard.

and then his xiao jiu falls in love with the young demon boy who wreaks havoc and kidnaps him and kinda treats him like shit. he fails at earning shen jiu's love too.

5. yue qingyuan never finds out that shen jiu loved him.

shen yuan likely believed yue qingyuan abhorred him. what shen yuan feels for yue qingyuan is likely a mix of "you betrayed me so i must hate you + you hate me so in return i must hate you. but in reality if you were to look close i dont hate you at all. but ill act like i do because i must hate you."

yue qingyuan though? there was no question. his feelings for shen jiu were always love and shen jiu will never know that, so there will never be a chance for shen jiu to change his mind, to not think "you do not hate me so i do not have to hate you, you love me so i can love you"

this kinda ties into the "words left unsaid" point EXCEPT at least shen jiu gets one time where he finds out how yqy feels. yqy never ever in any universe finds out. he thinks shen jiu is determined to never call him qi-ge again.

6. but even when shen jiu gets to find out yue qingyuan loves him, it is the most tragic way of doing so

i want you to imagine:

you love this person. you trusted them and they betrayed you. you hate that they make you feel weak so you place distance between you two. they look down on you so you respond in turn, with harsh words and harsher actions.

and then they die a horrific death- stabbed by ten thousand arrows- to come save you.

you realize they never meant to betray you, never looked down on you.

you were so mean and distant for nothing.

you cannot say sorry. they are dead. it is your fault.

shen jiu so eagerly wrote that letter to yqy, not because he wanted to escape torture but because he was so confident yqy wouldnt come.

he didnt come last time, so why did he come now!?

they are the epitome of the childhood friends to lovers & "i loved you all along" trope. they have seen each other in every stage of their loves and still, in their convoluted way, loved each other even with all the tension between them

shen jiu really is in desperate need of being loved. he like, is a character that claims he doesnt care to be liked but we all know its human nature to want to be appreciated and loved. "i dont need you to love me" "i love you" "oh"

the potential for a: "i dont need your pity" "its not pity i just care about you" or a "why do you even care?" "because i love you" or a (as catra and adora say) "i know you all hate me!" "i never hated you" dialogue drop

the potential for a deku -> izuku moment. i mean yue qingyuan literally canonically foreshadows it: "are you so determined to never call me qi-ge again?"

2/? Luo Binghe is SO NORMAL about Shen Yuan

Part 2

Luo Binghe spent the next week shuffling between the dorms and the dining hall. He lost 21 S-points in three bites for having the audacity to smile at his shizun when Shen Yuan saw him limping and offered a kind word and a gentle touch to his head. Luo Binghe really wanted to cry in happiness or fall into Shen Yuan's arms to be gently cradled, but no, that was OOC.

So he was down by slightly more than one fifth of his starting health. Great. True injustice was being so close to the real Shen Yuan but being left unsnuggled and uncuddled with even his dakimakura

Thankfully, the original goods was a polite, so Luo Binghe had plenty of time to watch and listen. Shen Yuan only really interacted with two of his disciples on page during this arc: Ming Fan and Ning Yingying. Ming Fan was his head disciple, a weak-willed bootlicker, but decent at administrative tasks, even if he needed way too much supervision for his age. Ning Yingying was Shen Jiu's spy and his primary avenue of approaching Shen Yuan.

Imagine being too tsundere to properly court Shen Yuan, couldn't be him.

Luo Binghe fixed most of his attention on the two known entities and added the others onto his mental chart from there. The senior members of Qing Jing, like Shen Yuan's cohort, were all too afraid of Shen Jiu to make an attempt at romancing the co-Peak Lord. It limited Luo Binghe's competition.

At this point in the plot Liu Qingge, the Lord of Bai Zhan Peak was the biggest danger. IRS was a mess of switching POVs to leave exact details of the rival courting attempts secret, so Luo Binghe didn't know exactly how or when only that at some point during Luo Baixiao's tenure as a student Liu Qingge took Shen Yuan's first time in some kind of sex pollen incident.

In the book, Shen Yuan had been embarrassed and tried to act as if the entire thing was a simple medical procedure, but Liu Qingge and the rest of the rabble saw it differently. Now, Liu Qingge was too incompetent to actually get anywhere despite having sex with the protagonist, something his fans constantly whined about, but Luo Binghe wanted his to be the first touch Shen Yuan knew.

A distinctly not electronic whistle sounded between Luo Binghe's ears.

"The youth's first fixation is getting stronger every year," a voice layered with age said next.

Luo Binghe hastily threw up the System interface to guard his thoughts. He focused his eyes on the screen so he couldn't see the way the fly buzzing near him was frozen between wing beats. Once his heartbeat calmed, Luo Binghe reviewed the facts he had.

A voice in your head was never a good sign, but Luo Baixiao had been sent as a spy. It made sense his demon overlord had some means of contacting him. And per the System's dog water character-sheet he was internally cold and resentful. Right. Luo Binghe could handle this. He waved the System away.

"What do you want, Old Bastard?" Luo Binghe snapped back. It actually gave him a little thrill to snarl inwardly while keeping a polite, pleasing blankness on his face.

"No respect for this Venerable One. What a tragedy."

"Never for the hand that holds the leash."

"So the fixation has sharpened the brat's teeth. Good. This Ancient One was concerned the seal would leave his student toothless forever." The voice gave the impression of clearing his throat. "The Sha brat was named Saintess and plans to come stir trouble here. Linguang-jun wants her humiliated."

"What else is new?"

"The brat would be served by listening if he wants his antidote this month."

Again, Luo Binghe felt the overwhelming urge to bare his teeth. His expression turned into a frown, but he managed to outwardly keep it back.

"Saintess Sha will be humiliated."

"See to it that she is."

And then it felt like a door closing in the back of his mind. Luo Binghe felt around the edges of his mind. While there were no traces of the voice, neither was there proof it had ever been there. He couldn't trust he was at a level high enough to detect if it was truly still listening to his thoughts.

However, before he could pull up the System, it summoned itself.

Luo Binghe squinted at the text. He knew games liked to put little references in their quest and ability titles but whatever this one was, he had no idea. "Can I just get my quests in plain text?"

Of course. Well, while it was here, he had a bigger concern. "Who was that in my head? How am I supposed to keep him from learning I'm not the Original Goods if he can hear my thoughts?"

The System displayed a throbbing loading symbol for a moment before it replied. [New Skill Available! Dream Technique: Mind Manipulation: Shielding. Cost: 50 S-points.]

Dream Technique? If dream manipulation was part of his skill tree then maybe Luo Baixiao being Shen Yuan's nightmare was more literal than he'd thought. The point cost was pretty steep, but it wasn't like he was going to get protection from the intruder gratis, so it was the cost of staying in the world, more or less.

"Fine, purchase and activate the skill." Luo Binghe said.

While the System didn't play any kind of animation, it certainly felt like a key had just unlocked something in his mind. Luo Binghe did not like it, but feeling the mental walls come up was a relief.

So the demon controlling him was Linguang-jun. He'd only appeared later in the story when Luo Baixiao was ordering him around. He was some pretty-boy ice demon that fell for Shen Yuan and took his own life rather than hurt him. Pretty standard for most of the demonic love interests.

Also 'antidote for this month' wasn't something to be glossed over. Luo Binghe could put the pieces together; the collar around his neck was some kind of undetectable poison and if he didn't regularly receive the antidote he'd die. Great, so he had the System and the poison to watch out for.

Saintess Sha was Sha Hualing, whose father was one of the few persistent demon suitors. He was an irredeemable warlord who really thought if he killed enough of his enemies Shen Yuan would be impressed and fall into his arms. Most readers were confused that Shen Yuan was unable to dissuade him outright, but Lord Sha plied Shen Yuan with his special interest: rare creatures, so he didn't risk alienating him.

Sha Hualing's attack on Cang Qiong Mountain also signaled the countdown to Shen Yuan's deflowering. It happened between the attack and Luo Baixiao receiving his spiritual weapon. And Luo Binghe wasn't stupid enough to think delaying on retrieving his sword would delay the lascivious attack on Shen Yuan.

Less importantly, the attack would pit Luo Binghe against one of Sha Hualing's little followers. Little, pah. It was one of the few scenes from Shen Yuan's point of view and he'd been torn between unexplored revulsion of his disciple and fear that his little student was going to be killed.

The forums had gone wild over the chapter, insisting that Shen Yuan was suppressing untoward thoughts about his underage disciple. Luo Binghe had kicked some of them off the internet entirely with the help of daddy's cash and the power of his vitriol. He'd then commissioned every fanartist that supported his own theories about Luo Baixiao.

Oh, he missed his custom ball-jointed doll of Shen Yuan. He'd even found a sculptor to lovingly make realistic genitals for him. The doll's default placement was on a small shelf just above his best Xiu Ya. He even had a full wardrobe housed in a 1/12 scale Bamboo House.

"Hey System, if I get enough points, can I import my collection?]

It didn't even answer him.

Luo Binghe would totally Vibing being an attic wife except being this attic wife is no good if he can't see shizun all day every day as he wants.

Shen Qingqiu would totally vibe with not doing any paperwork or sect duties, but he needs Some Actual Food and Meat.

You can imagine Lan Qiren's heart attack upon seeing his older brother exit seclusion. You can imagine his second (and bigger heart attack) upon seeing Qingheng-Jun ignore all Gusu Lan rules (and elders) to remove his wife from seclusion and the two visit their children. In public. In front of the whole clan. While exhibiting the most explicit behaviors of kissing and handholding!

Many elders were hospitalized from the sight. It was so terribly raunchy (by Gusu Lan standards).

(Also the title is basically the former Lan Madame, who has vacated her body so that Luo Binghe could take over, giving the metaphorical middle finger to the Gusu Lan.)

Nezuko! Reader in the Scum Villain Self-Saving System

When you died, the last thing you expected was to be reborn in another world. When you woke up, you found yourself a squirming little baby, alone in a dark place with an atmosphere that no normal human could survive on. With your awareness of surroundings, you managed to survive the dark place. During your survival, you noticed creatures witht he most peculiar and bizzare features and abilities — a python with a scorpion's tail, an elephant with lizard feet, and rhinoceros with a crescent on their horns and pythons…

Wait… Are you in the Scum Villain Self-Saving System!?

And you weren’t even reincarnated into any of the characters, but rather, an original one…At Least you have control over your fate.

Judging by the ever-changing weather and the bizarre yet dangerous creatures, you must be in the Abyss, which unfortunately leaves you with no idea what arc the story is even on. Which leaves you questioning your very own existence. The few moments you got water, you noticed your appearance was mostly humanoid with features from your previous life et your pupils were in slit forms, your irises are two different shades almost overlapping each other, and tattoo patterns of vines and flowers appeared on your arms and the rest of your body.

Initially, you wore no clothing before you hunted the beasts in the Abyss. Most of your clothing now are fur pelts and armours of scaled beasts — though they were not your best creations, they were made due. Another thing you noticed was your regeneration abilities, the first time was when you first started hunting and got your arm cut off. The pain was an ass but your adrenaline kept you from screaming and let your healing abilities regenerate the same arm. The only downside is that you have to sleep a lot to regain energy and you don’t really eat the meat…

At this point, you were starting to think you were a Nezuko copycat…

That proved to be true when you stumbled upon an injured Luo Binghe, who looked fresh from the surface. His disciple uniform was tattered and he was full of bruises and scars, the scent of iron hit your nose and immediately made you salivate. Your hunger hitting your stomach as it howled at you to devour the boy. Luo Binghe, who finally noticed you, became frightened as he scooted back as much as he could — which isn’t saying much with his wounds. You could imagine what you look like: a disheveled creature with a salivating mouth, eyes full blown with hunger, and claws twitching.

But no, you still have some humanity in you, despite your years in the cruel and harsh Abyss. The surroundings changed to that of a forest, trees and leaves and branches. Luo Binghe snarled at you as he pressed his back against a tree, fear rolling out of him. A cornered animal using whatever defense mechanism it has left.

With a grunt, you turned away from the boy, grabbed the nearest branch and bit onto it. Your fangs sank into the wood and your tongue caught some splinters. You winced at the unpleasantness yet disregarded it as you focused on the soon to be Saintly Emperor of the Three Realm.

“Why did you help me?”

You glanced at Luo Binghe, who looked at you with suspicion. The fire crackled with life and provided with warmth for the both of you, night had fallen and you found shelter in a cave. You flicked a strand of hair from your shoulder, letting out a muffled grunt from behind your stick muzzle. You had cleaned up his wounds and wrapped them with leaves that you know had healing properties. Despite this being a Chinese novel, you were able to understand what he said despite your limited knowledge of Chinese.

You handed him your piece of meat that you hunted, which he didn’t take until he was sure it wasn’t a trick.

You now meet the possessive love interest of the novel, who’s also years younger than the protagonist. But there’s nothing you can do about that. Scratch that, more like you don’t care, you were just interested in meeting the characters. 

Though meeting Tianlang-jun would be a reward in itself.

From there, you got to know the boy and he got to know you, through scribbles on the ground that is. You taught him how to hunt, what plants were poisonous and had healing properties. And inevitably, you taught him that demons and humans were similar despite their differences.

“Do you think demons are bad?” Luo Binghe had asked this, now a twenty year old who towered over you. His mark on his forehead glowing proudly. You then glanced at him, his furrowed brows and uncertainty in his eyes. He had confided in his sorrows to you how his shizun pushed him into the Abyss and the feelings he had — has for his teacher. You were aware that this was Shen Yuan in Shen Qingqui’s body with his change of personality, but you wanted to shake the man for his apparent lack of brain cells. His eyes widened in understanding, “I see, thank you for your wisdom.”

By this time, Luo Binghe warmed up to you. You two even had a routine where you would go hunt for food and he would cook it with whatever spices and herbs there were. Although you didn’t eat much of it as you found yourself not really hungry, mostly tired. The times you had to sleep for a long period of time, you would find yourself in a short of shelter with Luo Binghe guarding you. As time went on, Luo Binghe grew taller and was very handsome with feminine features that can mistake him for a woman should he wear the female attire. 

Sadly, your time with Luo Binghe was cut off when you two were separated during a hunt. But knowing him and his Heavenly Demon heritage and destiny, you knew he was gonna be okay. During your time alone, you contemplated on going up the surface to see the sights but doubts clouded your certainty. You weren’t completely Nezuko so there could be a possibility that you didn’t have immunity to the sun. But that fact should be applied to the demons of Demonslayer, not the demons in SVSSS. You could actually get real clothes there…

You shook your head before going back to living your life in the Abyss. Hoping that Luo Binghe would visit you when he escapes and become the Emperor of the Three Realms.

During one of your days scavenging, you came across a crawling infant with dark hair, jade green eyes, and grayish pale skin. The infant glared at you as it got into a defensive stance on all fours, growling at you.

Shen Jiu: Born to die (like I’m not even trying to hurt anyone here but I know it hurts…)

Shen Qingqiu: Doin Time (Why?? Like, “the living is ease” vibe and the sudden “I’ve come to tell you that she’s evil” just reminds me to much of the fact that he’s the “villain”!! And I just imagined the “Louie” in the song as Sqh so much anyway)

Wei Wuxian: Salvatore (Salvatore is just him, really, the vibe of, like, even if you’re being murdered, you’re smiling and you’re smiling cause you know that, some way, you’ve just fucking won, of being on a serious situation and taking it lightly because is just his way to do things but at same time not as a mockery or a joke to all the suffering, the pain, but rather, an acceptance with a smile… oh gosh what a ride)

Mobei Jun: Black Beauty (like referring to a cold, untouchable beauty like himself, because honestly, life is beautiful but it took a while for him to see the colors but he managed to find his light, or, his “sparrow blue”…)

Shan Qinghua: Meet me at the pale moonlight (I swear, even if doesn’t make sense, for me, his “pale moonlight” is Mobei Jun… but seriously?? The “I’m the sweetest girl in town so why are you so mean?” part FR FR WTH that’s his life you’re singing about Lana)

Xue Yang: Blue Jeans (“Love’s mean… and love hurts” to “I’ll love till the end of times… I’ll wait a million years” is honestly just what he did and also that slightly possessive part “promise you’ll remember that you’re mine” inspired by his insecurities and regrets, only because he was afraid to lose him… couldn’t get any sadder)

Xiao Xingchen: Margaret (In another word yes, yes it could get sadder… He’s just so good… “It kind makes me laugh”, Ah I just keep reminding that scene where he’s with XY, laughing because he’s the easy laugh type of person… And also the “the soul that you bring to the table” I just like to interpret that in a way that he made a family out a villain and homeless distrusting girl and that the “soul” spoken off on the song it’s theirs, how they find “soul” in there, in themselves, in each other…)

Beast Taming Peak AU Pt 2

one day, Binghe opens his mouth, and he recreates the soundscape of Airplane's death. It's horrifying listening to it, but it also reopens the investigation into Airplane's death. Because it doesn't sound like an accident. It sounds like murder.

I imagine it'd be triggered by a similar event happening. Like maybe Airplane was lost during an Immortal Alliance Conference, and Binghe is triggered during the next alliance conference.

Airplane is revealed to be a spy for demons and apparently killed by the very demons he colluded with.

Shen Yuan, despite the betrayal, wants to avenge his martial brother and begins to hunt down the killer with Binghe.

The killer… Mobei Jun. lol you know where this is going.

Yup, they track Mobei Jun down to the ice palace, where it's revealed that Airplane is alive and well, just the consort of the north now. he never told his sect because he was afraid of getting killed for colluding with demons lol.

Shen yuan, who had accepted that Airplane was hiding a lot of things from him on the revenge quest, is okay with this. It should be a bigger deal, considering the intimacy he thought he had with Airplane, like no secrets between fellow transmigrators. Like "you were cheating on me, bro???" But after the mourning and the guilt over perverting his memory and the reveal of betrayal, i think he's just relieved, especially since he has a truly close relationship with binghe now, so it's not as big a deal that Airplane was "cheating" with Mobei Jun.

Airplane also reveals that… harpy cuckoo demons don't exist. Shen Yuan got the order wrong. CHANGELINGS are real, and cuckoo demons are indeed PIDW's version of changelings. The harpy depiction of cuckoos are the ones that are the myth! The myth started from people trying to demonize cuckoo demons as less than human/less than demon beasts (because they replace human/demon children).

Shen Yuan had to reverse engineer all his Binghe info from Airplane's care notes he inherited after his death, but obviously it wasn't an exact science, especially because he did not read PIDW.

So Shen Yuan thought cuckoos were like harpies, aka dumb bird beasts with human torsos. In reality, cuckoos are not dumb beasts, they're intelligent creatures that adapt to whatever culture they find themselves in, and mold themselves to the expectations of those around them. That's how these PIDW changelings work, mimicry and meeting expectations (NOT acting like deceitful fae creatures as they are in real world myth).

Since Shen Yuan expected a bird hybrid, he got a bird hybrid lol.

With some thought, Shen Yuan realizes he's still incensed on Binghe's behalf. Just because they indeed ARE changelings, that still doesn't justify the hunting of Cuckoo Demons. Just like how Heavenly Demons shouldn't have been so thoroughly hunted by cultivators, even if they are dangerously powerful.

Female Cuckoo demons were hard to find because he was looking for harpy ladies lol. The reality is that cuckoos are still around, you just don't realize because they blend in wherever they are. They don't look like harpies. They're often the best example of whatever specimen society they've assimilated into.

One of the main things that differentiate cuckoo from their adopted species are the mating habits.

There are two things they prioritize—viability and acceptance.

Heavenly demons, for instance, were highly sought after as mates because they're a powerful form to imitate and arrogant enough not to look for impostors, but as of late are unpopular due to the strides of Cultivators in eradicating them. So cultivators are now the new trend, even if they're considered more risky with all the "demon detecting" artifacts.

The second aspect is acceptance of a cuckoo. One of the paradoxes of their existence is that while they do everything in their power to act like one of their adopted species, they secretly crave a mate who they can let their guard down around. Someone who'd accept them as a cuckoo.

But that second aspect is rare, especially among demons because of the idea that you're replacing your potentially ice demon offspring with cuckoo demon kids instead. For instance, if your cuckoo offspring get kidnapped (as is demon culture) by weaker demons, they become those weak demons through cuckoo survival instinct, and that's a total headache for ice demon line of succession. And like, A TON of humans are barely okay with adopted family, much less having demon children.

Cuckoos don't usually mate/live with each other because they're characterized by mimicry. A copy of a copy of a copy is uncanny. It's the stagnation of being trapped in tradition because everyone is trying to conform to an ever narrowing ideal.

Binghe's relationship with his cuckoo washerwoman adopted mother was a tenuous, if beautiful, relationship. Like two people from plato's cave desperately playing house based on what they've seen of families on the shadows on the wall.

Part of why Binghe decided Shen Yuan was mate material is that while Shen Yuan starts off with his own expectations of Binghe (harpy), he's also totally open to adjusting them for Binghe.

It's a unique mindset to have, created by his unique personality as a beast peak researcher. His belief that he's trying to raise a harpy (wrong) but also knowing that he's not the expert on what a cuckoo demon is (true), and therefore is willing to supplement with his own experiences when he's struggling (giving Binghe the structure he needs) while still deferring ultimately to Binghe's lead on who Binghe should be (accepting the cuckoo). It's a push/pull of acceptance that would be addicting for cuckoos.

For instance, he LOVED when Binghe mimicked things or mimicked him. Baby cuckoos suck ass at subtle mimicry, so they often get bullied for being copycats until they're more skilled at doing it. Binghe was bullied on Airplane's peak, to the point of silence. So it's really electrifying to come to the beast peak and get praised for what comes naturally to him and for what he was bullied for before.

This also recontextualizes Shen Yuan's "The Last Cuckoo" moment. It's the moment where Shen Yuan first starts truly understanding this weird grey zone Binghe lives in, but also gives into it.

It seems disturbing/hedonistic at the moment of it, like he's giving into all his worst impulses with the flimsiest of excuses. Luo Binghe is Shang Qinghua, but he's not, because he's gay and interested in Shen Yuan. It's not really a desecration of their friendship, right? Binghe is a wild cuckoo demon, but he's not, because he's also been raised to feel like a modern human. It's not really monsterfucking, right? It's fine that he's doing this because... because... he shouldn't let Binghe's instincts struggle as the last lonely cuckoo!

In the context of the rest of this story, though, it's not him giving into his worst impulses, but actually him heading in the right direction to care for Binghe the way he needs it.

Much like how his instincts scream that he can't be gay. Or how some parents are viscerally against medicating their children who need it. Sometimes these impending feelings of doom/degeneracy are WRONG.

In the case of cuckoo demons, their existence is a doomed zone in their society—shunned on all sides for perceived deception as copycats. Yet, Shen Yuan learns to revel in this aspect of Binghe, the way he copies without actually becoming—the part Binghe has always desperately needed someone to love.

He isn't perverting Shang Qinghua or Cuckoo culture, he's loving Binghe and partaking in Cuckoo culture, despite a society that would never encourage that.

Shen Yuan shixiong AU - Part 23

Letter to Ning Yingying - On the way home [Shen Yuan & Luo Binghe’s letter]

Ning Yingying sat excitedly in front of her shixiong and shidi’s room, a thick package cradled to her chest. She had just finished cleaning the room behind her, a habit she had taken after they had both set out to travel. She opened the package in her hands quickly, grabbing at the familiar small stack of rice paper. The first page was full of ink blotches and smudges. Who knows what kind of shenanigans those two were up to when writing this letter. The first lines were refined and elegant, Ning Yingying recognized her shidi’s handwriting right away and smiled.

“Dear Ning Shijie,

This shidi greets shijie! The mid-autumn festival is fast approaching and we are currently on our way back home, just like we had promised everyone we would. We've had an amazing time on our travels, but it is time to return before shixiong misses you all too much… or does something stupid. He’s always been a bit reckless but I discovered that he truly is a danger magnet. Just the other day, he nearly fell off two cliffs... just trying to look at plants. I swear I’ve grown white hairs in the last few months.”

Ning Yingying giggled, imagining the scene. Shixiong truly had no regard for danger when he found something that interested him. She moved her eyes to the next lines that took the bottom of the page plus a good portion of the next one. The penmanship was different, this one being livelier while being just as graceful as the previous one. It was Shen shixiong’s. More ink smears could be seen, there were even a few black fingerprints staining the right side of the second page.

“Alright, I’ll admit: Shixiong does miss Yingying and the others. A long time has passed… We’ve been gone for more than a year and Binghe is already taller than I am. I fear everyone will have grown so much that they will not need shixiong anymore when I come back. Such a terrifying thought!

To tell the truth, Binghe and I were going to surprise you all by returning earlier than we originally planned, but we encountered a small “problem” during our last night hunt. In the middle of hunting a particularly annoying yao that was causing trouble in the region, Noodle entered a kind of meditating state. The problem was that it happened right in the middle of fighting the yao and Noodle got hurt. After taking care of the night hunt, we took him to a nearby sect to heal him, hence why we pushed our return back. After a full week, I was finally able to stabilize his condition and I was able to settle him in his qiankun bag before hitting the road once more. I will study his condition further when we get back. At least now, the danger seemed to have passed.

Also, don’t listen to Binghe, I was perfectly fine when I was cataloging and gathering herbs. And his head looks completely fine to me, you don’t need to worry about him.”

Ning Yingying grinned. Those two really grew close while traveling, didn’t they? But Binghe seemed set on never telling their shixiong his feelings for him. How silly. She shook her head with a smile. She would have to sit her shidi down upon his return so he doesn’t take a weird oath on his own.

Ning Yingying was also glad that Noodle wasn’t too hurt. She never felt at ease with the spiritual creature, but she knew just how much that dusu snake meant to her shixiong. The latter would be inconsolable if anything happened to his scaly friend.

The letter continued on in Luo Binghe’s handwriting.

“I am convinced shixiong enjoys seeing me worry and wouldn’t mind my whole head turning white because of it-”

A big smudge nearly masked the entirety of the last characters of the sentence. Ning Yingying could picture the smack Shen shixiong gave Luo Binghe while reading over his shoulder as the latter wrote. The message resumed on a completely different subject.

“This shidi included a perfected version of the martial technique shijie has been practicing in the package. Shixiong and I have taken your notes into consideration and adapted the technique to suit your swordstyle better. Hopefully it will be easier to blend it in now. We will soon be able to give you better pointers as we’ll be back to train all together.

We’ve made good time and are currently more or less a 4 day ride away from the sect. Shixiong and I can’t wait to see you again!”

The correspondence ended with both their signatures squeezed together at the bottom of the third page. Ning Yingying couldn’t help but let out an excited noise. Both of her favorite people were about to be back! She gathered the package they had sent her and ran to announce the good news to the other disciples.

The good part about living in an alternative world sprung out from Airplane soaring towards the sky's fantasy was that it contained everything that he could have wished for.

Super powers: check.

Super cool setting: check. 

Super hot husband: check.

Honestly, that was even better than what he had imagined. 

The bad part was that many things Airplane soaring towards the sky had taken for granted, weren't there.

The tiny everyday pleasure... Gone!

He had not thought this thing out properly it seemed, and it pained Airplane soaring towards the sky to recognise this fault in himself.

For his characters, who had never known what they were missing out in the first place, it was not a big deal.

But for him living day after day without Internet and chips, was pure torture. 

At least though Cucumber Bro was there with him to suffer through that pain and reassure him it had not been just a feverish dream. Impossible to think so when  the moment they were alone, the other transmigrator would  scream at him, serving all his defects naked on a silver plate and swearing that one day he would make the quack author pay for both the missing commodities and the book complications.

One day Shang Qinghua feared that he would wake up with his face doodled in permanent ink. 

Oh, how optimistic he had been! 

The punishment for all the problems he had caused came unexpectedly, like most turning points in literature tend to. 

Shang Qinghua had been bent on his desk, the heavy fur cape his husband had gifted him a comfortable weight on his shoulders, protecting him from the bone cracking coldness of the Mobei clan's palace. 

It was not going to be a remarkable day, according to the papers he was slaving on. The usual complaints about taxes, and said tax registers working perfectly since he had improved them. More paperwork in the end. 

Then he came through the door of Shang Qinghua's office.

Shen Qingqiu. 

Smiling brightly like the sun itself, to the point that even his fan couldn't hide that self-satisfied smirk printed on his face. 

Shang Qinghua should have realised immediately there and then that something was not right. His fellow transmigrator was not complaining at full lungs capacity in his general direction, actually looking like he had just woken up from a full night of comfortable sleep after the best sex of his life. 

Something in Shang Qinghua's guts immediately clenched, smelling the danger in the air like an electrostatic current that raised the fine hair on his arms. 

What?! What was going to happen?! 

"Good morning Airplane!" Shen Qingqiu greeted him like they were the bestest of friends, and Shang Qinghua would have run to the toilet if only he could. "Would you mind joining us for breakfast on this fine morning?" 

With a loud gulp, Shang Qinghua nodded, getting mentally ready to face hell outside the door of his office. 

Although nothing could have prepared him for the sight that greeted him once they reached the table set for breakfast in the inner courtyard, where Luo Binghe and Mobei-jun were already sitting. 

"Isn't it beautiful?" gloating behind his fan, Shen Qingqiu explained. "I've found some interesting berries recently and asked Mu-shidi to help me engineer this from them. And obviously I had to show them how to eat this new discovery. And to you!"

Rooted on the spot by terror that was quickly moving to a different level, Shang Qinghua nodded even if his opinion had not been required. 

"Ah… I had missed it so much!" With glee tinted in nostalgia and his fan gently blowing hair away from his face, Shen Qingqiu spoke as if their husbands weren't eating something not too far off from bananas right in front of their eyes. 

Peel open around the long fruit: check. 

Lips open around said long fruit in a bad, obscene imitation of a fellatio: check. 

Blood rose so quickly to Shang Qinghua's face that he felt dizzy, remembering how Mobei-jun had woken him up that morning. His body too was remembering. 

Noticing their presence, the two husbands stopped their fruit munching. As he readied himself to greet his shibo, Luo Binghe laughed from the depth of his belly, finger pointing and all, when his eyes laid on Shang Qinghua's horny state.

The embarrassing realization that his favourite child had witnessed his shame was enough to make Shang Qinghua want to not face the whole world any longer. 

Cucumber bro obtaining his revenge in a roundabout way: check. 

At that moment though, Shang Qinghua needed to go to the toilet more than ever.

Okay I’m nervous. 

Looking at the style of murals to the sides of the corridor, there was a strong yin ambiance, and it was clear to see this was Luo Binghe’s headquarters in the Demon Realm.

But I am totally not panicking.

The two both had nothing to say, not giving each other a sideways glance. One in front and one behind, their footsteps made no breath of sound. The atmosphere was stiff and cold.

This is the definition of PAIN. I need some bingqiu communication right now

Pushing open the door and entering, the furnishings and arrangement of the room were quite familiar-looking. In fact, it was quite similar to the bamboo house on Qing Jing Peak.

Omg. OMG. So let me get this straight. Lbh spent years mourning his Shizun, keeping the wounds he had left him, keeping sqq's broken sword, keeping his freaking corpse and (now we find out) making a room similar to the one in the bamboo house-

This is borderline obsession and yet my heart aches for lbh so much i just... PLS Shizun. PLS.

EDIT 3:

Now acting like a miserable child and throwing tantrums, making his heart overflow with sympathy. Now again hitting his face and telling him it was all an act. Real or fake, his eyes weren’t sharp enough to clearly see autumn feathers and see through Luo Binghe’s heart to understand what he was really thinking, some parts truth and some parts hypocrisy.

(Guys, sqq is angry because lbh put on a facade in the dreamscape. He is angry and disappointed and wary of lbh possibly using the same "trick" on him again and again just to move sqq's heart. I honestly thought Shizun had understood by now.

Like, okay, lbh tricked him the second time to see if that was really Shizun or just a figment of his imagination, but can you blame him?? You have been dead for years, sqq!! He probably went insane with pain, has always been in love with you when in his eyes you betrayed him by pushing him into the abyss, come on! If you two would just fucking talk-)

While he was still brooding over these thoughts, Luo Binghe walked a step closer to him.

But he was still inevitably tense, his heart stretched taut as a bowstring, his eyelids jumping and fingertips curled.

How was Luo Binghe so perceptive? He advanced another step.

“Shizun, what do you think I’m going to do to you?”

Luo Binghe reached out his right hand. Shen Qingqiu didn’t make a sound or movement, but his gaze couldn’t help but stick to his fingertips, following them as they reached out.

That hand was neat and slender. It didn’t look like the hand of a Demon Race young master who had already taken countless lives, but rather one which was born to pluck strings, a hand to burn incense and bathe in snow. It slid shyly over his cheek, faintly brushing his skin.

Luo Binghe fixed his gaze on him for a time, then said, “Is there anything you desire?”

Dsyfunctional Family pt 3 [Final]

Shen Jiu was training Liu Mingyan to take over his duties, well he seperated them between Sha Hualing and Ning Yingying. As the first three wives most of them combined could make a whole new Binghe.

All of the knoledge of Qing jing peak, brutal martial arts and quick thinking with stratergy and good looks, and the unhinged demon. All of them had their own speical talents and Shen Jiu knew once they took over he would become obsolete.

Luo Binghe wouldn't know what to do with Shen Jiu, he would realise he couldn't recreate what the other two had but if he helped rekindle the love of his three wives then maybe he could fix this?

Luo Binghe was becomming happier, and Shen Jiu was finally coming to terms of how much of a rotten teacher he had become.

Now to inact his plan.

-Liu Mingyan works in place of Shen Jiu for two weeks, Luo Binghe doesn't notice Shen Jius abscene assuming his former laoushi was working as diligently as always.

-Liu Mingyan is kidnapped, she ends up taking out her kidnappers before she is pinned with immortal binding cables, the head kidnapper is Shen Jiu!

"Well done, you got pretty far. Kidnappings will become a regular occurance by Luo Binghe's rivals so it's best to take everything accordingly." Liu Mingyan thought Shen Jiu was finally making his move, but he was still acting as a teacher.

"What have you learned?" he asked and she scowled "Never to trust a snake that bit you?"

Shen Jiu scoffed shaking his head and kneeled on one knee and unsheathed a knife, Liu Mingyan eyed it warily her heart pumping in her chest then blinked as he cut the binding cables and gave her the knife.

"Carry knifes whenever you can, in discreet places," here he raised his wrist and showed an opening.

"A binding cable, as small as a vein. Easier to hide and strong enough to subdue and take a hostage. It can even be sharp enough to slowly erode a Immortal binding cable."

Liu Mingyan took this with fascination. So this was a test.

"Although, it's pointless if Luo Binghe abandoned his post and saves you, but lets hoping he doesn't because that will be a mistake-"

"Enough, as if I want to flirt with death." Shen Jiu sneered, he nodded at Liu Mingyan and she walked over to Binghe stepping behind him.

Shen Jiu produced a fan and lazily fanned his face.

"I knew this would happen eventually, most of your wives fall into plots of kidnapping so I decided to counter this. This was just to see how both of you would act, as leaders of the three realms and how you would react to losing someone intergral to keep your empire from falling apart." Shen Jiu sighed "I thought you were smarter than this."

"What saving my wife is dumb?"

"Yes. If you had any respect you would know that Liu Mingyan would save herself. Instead you abandoned your post so I have a question. Lord Luo Binghe."

The other glared at him silently.

"If both of the leaders of your empire is here. Then who is guarding your empire?"

Which was how they found the Huan hua palace in duress. Nearly ALL of his wives were tied up outside as hostages, his plauque was removed and Shen Jiu's men were stationed rather obviously around the palace.

It was a succesful takeover.

Shen Jiu gave Luo Binghe a dry look "Imagine if I was taking this seriously." His inner Shen Yuan was bemoaning.

Until there was a sudden boom!

the three watched perplexed before there was a sudden rumbling and in moments all of Shen Jiu's men began to purge out of the gates tripping over themselves, screaming in terror.

And there was Ning yingying! With Sha Hualing! Both along with most of the wives led the charge of removing their foes, they ended up freeing the hostages righ before their eyes and turned the tie.

Ning Yingying was battererd up with torn clothes.

But they were the victors.

She beamed at her old Shizun.

"Palace secured." Shen Jiu found himself beaming and reacted patting his little Ning Yingying on the head "Well done, and you Sha Hualing you have defiently learned compared to your explotes at Qing Jing peak." She flushed at the reminder of her failure then smirked.

"Shizun has been kind to Ling-er."

Shen Jiu turned to Luo Binghe "Forgive me my Lord, but words have been useless so I figured I could instead show you. You have so many competent wives an entire army at your disposal. Playing the hero not only hinders them it comes at a cost to you too."

He stood with his arms behind his back "If the abscene of Luo Binghe is so easy to have everything fall apart then maybe you don't deserve it."

Luo Binghe's gaze narrowed.

Luo Binghe had to be a politician, if he could win everything by fighting then he's nothing more than a common general.

He was smart enough to trick the other peak lords and Huan palace master, but his foes are cunning. And they needed to hone their skills before any more surprises.

"I had planned on more training modules, but this can only be the public one others might take advantage of such a weakness."

Shen Jius men were limping away while he spoke.

Luo Binghe had to punish him, but Shen Jiu wasn't wrong. To take control and undermine him a lord was a step too far.

Shen Jiu knew he was going to pay for this but he didn't care. He never wanted to die, or have his limbs ripped off or fighting tooth and nail his whole life for it to be meaningless.

Shen Jiu gasped then found himself lying on an array, he sat up fighting a rush of vertigo and dark spots clouding his vision.

"A-jiu!" He was suddenly eveloped in a tight hug and grunted, he looked up and saw Shen Yuan practically squeezing the life out of him.

"What- Where am I?"

Shen Yuan pulled back "We tried everything to get you back- we had no idea where you'd gone But it was Yue Qingyuan! He figured out how to bring you back- he's never left once!" Shen Jiu turned and blanched to see Yue Qingyuan and he looked awful, his smile was strained.

"I promised I would'nt leave Xiao Jiu behind."

Shen Jiu mouth trembled, Luo Binghe was also there his shards of Xin Mo pulsing then dying being used for their purpose.

Shen Jius eyes burned- they...they came back for him?

He barely even had any hope, never even entertained the thought he just thought they would give up leaving him behind.

Shen Jiu latched onto Shen Yuan hiding his face.

It was strange being back, he'd missed everyone and even felt himself clutching onto Shen Yuan and Luo Binghe when the others left.

He wanted to go back, he loved it here but...he missed the other Luo Binghe his luo binghe. And the Harem, they grew on him and he had felt so useful.

"Yes." Luo Bing-ge glanced over to Shen Jiu then looked back to his 'parents'

"I would like to formally court Shen Jiu."

He took Shen Jius hands his eyes looking confused then glared "Can you give me the chance to fix this?" Shen Jiu could only look him in the eyes his own flickering trying to read his thoughts. His mouth dry he couldn't speak only nodded.

Luo Binghe relaxed "I'll be going, but I'll be back, with gifts, and if you marry me I'll bring you here whenever you like, you won't lose your family again."

Shen Jiu's eyes burned- damn this body! prone to tears!

Shen Jiu inhaled "I- I want to fix this too, don't take all the responsibility."

Luo Binghes gaze softened then he kissed his hand keeping eye contact "Of course, Laoishi."

This Crossover Would Have Two Protagonist Halos.

Chronicles of the Kencyrath with Scum Villain Self Saving System. (Which I'm currently mostly familiar with via fan fic, and some of the animation, and some of the fanslation. I am waiting for the official english translation!)

Chronicles of the Kencyrath: Our Heroine (Jame Talissen) is the scion of a mysterious magical race sworn to defeat a horrible entity that eats literal universes. (They have mostly not been very successful, and have been doing a fighting retreat for three thousand years.) She is mostly amnesiac and most of the story is her accidentally destroying things because it's slowly revealed throughout the series that she is most likely the avatar the third aspect of her extremely disliked god. (The aspect is Destruction. Which she is very good at, mostly by accident.)

Author takes a bunch of fantasy tropes and twists them into pretty knots.

Our Heroine's Abilities and Traits:

Forming a mindlink with animals (Can be done via blood or just spontaneously)

Forming a mindlink with people (Can be done via blood or just spontaneously)

Dreamwalking/walking through soulscapes (In canon she's only done this with other Kencyr. I feel Original and/or Nu! Luo Binghe would get the surprise of their live if they stumbled in on her. Or if she wandered into their dreams.)

Soul-reaving. She was taught a specific form of dance/ combat that enables her to do this and it's taken a few arcs for her learn anything resembling ethics concerning it. (Or control.)

Berserking (So, imagine you have a very very angry young woman with a terror field and the inclination and possible ability at the moment to rip you in half. If she tells you to run, you'll probably do it)

Retractable claws (This would not seem like much but they are actually Very Dangerous. Especially with the Berserking.)

"Maledight" curses

Mind control via voice. Canonically she once told someone to walk backward, and he almost went over a balcony rail. (She had good reason to do this.)

Items: In canon she ran off with the White Knife (can kill anything it even lightly scratches.) and The Book Bound in Pale Leather (a grimoire full of runes/spells that can literally burn your brain out if you aren't strong enough to use them.) She also briefly had the Serpent-Skin Cloak (which can heal just about any damage) but it did not like her and slithered off. Also in canon she left all items in the care of her undead extremely murderous half brother.)

So! The crossover would probably start in the Eternal Abyss Arc. The Abyss from description sounds a lot like Perimal Darkling, and poor Jame would be right at home. I'm not sure if she'd have all three items or just one or two.

Our Heroine is wandering through and runs into Luo Binghe and they help each other with the entire Extremely Lethal Environment They're Barely Surviving, and end up in Luo Binghe's world. If Original! Luo Binghe, they end up weirdly relying on each other for reality checks, and Our Heroine accidentally mindlinks with Shen Jiu which is exasperating for all concerned. (Note: Though the term wasn't common at the time, I identify Jame as being gray ace from her characterization in canon. She is Miss Does Not Even Notice You Like Her Like That. She ends up harem-adjacent, and completely oblivious to harem politics.) This Shen Jiu does not end up becoming a human stick, and this Luo Binghe is not quite as bat shit crazy as PIDW! Luo Binghe.

If Nu! Luo Binghe They are very good friends/allies having fought together in the Eternal Abyss. I would need to read the canon (which I don't have yet) to see what happens, how Jame could change the plot.

Ning Yingying is sweet, a smart and kind shijie and Shen Yuan is having an internal collapse. Luo Binghe hasn’t left the Endless Abyss yet? Well, obviously not. The Cang Qiong Sect is up and running. So, how long does he have until Luo Binghe emerges from the Abyss and devastates the entire sect? A month, a week, a day?

Distant and not at all alert, he is having his internal-external breakdown when a kind voice cares for him.

The kind voice turns out to be the freaking fucking scum villain Shen Qingqiu and Shen Yuan might as well die right there. He is afraid that Shen Qingqiu might give him a hard time and humiliate him or even assault him… But Shen Qingqiu is, kind? Worried, protective. Why is the young disciple crying? Can this Shizun do something?

And Shen Yuan, well, he collapses more. What the hell. What the fuck.

Luckily, he is left alone again. His thoughts give him hope for, well... If Shen Qingqiu is more kind, maybe he wouldn't even throw Binghe into the Abyss? Maybe Luo Binghe is still White Lotus' disciple, Shen Yuan won't die and the entire sect will still stand?

He... He thinks he can live with that. Of course. Damn, who screwed up the characters like that? What the fuck did they do to them? He's mad about that, so much wasted lore! So much untraveled abyss and resentments that made the protagonist prove himself to be powerful and capable despite everything!!

Once Mobei Jun hears of the Cang Qiong Sect rumors of Yue Qingyuan being the father of Shang Qinghua's baby, he's ready to assert dominance! How dare this cultivation try to intrude on his marriage!

Except Yue Qingyuan did fight Tianlang Jun and won that fight and Mobei Jun's attempt at beating up Yue Qingyuan ended with the demon teleporting away, so... Mobei Jun decides that he shall graciously allow Yue Qingyuan to be the Second Husband. Plus, Yue Qingyuan is a decent and well intentioned parent - having more trust worthy adult figures in his son's life will help prevent a Linguang-Jun type of figure from sabotaging his son's life.

Shang Qinghua has no fucking clue who could be the parent of his son! If fact... he's actually wondering if... it has anything to do with the protagonist. After all, in chapter XXXX, Luo Binghe and Wife XXX conceived a child via magical spirit cave with no active participation on Luo Binghe's part! The protagonist was kilometers away banging up another woman and this wife was looking for a way to get Luo Binghe's attention again!

Shang Qinghua really hopes that the father of his baby is not the very underage protagonist; Cucumber-bro would kill him.

Nope, neither Shen Yuan nor Airplane are aware because babies are babies so no amount of "prodigal talent" (for Shen Jiu at least) can speed up muscle development! And when Shen Jiu can speak, he finds himself mysteriously unable to say any words alluding to his previous life (thanks system).

Shen Yuan does wonder how his son is so good at making up stories and asking "what if's". Like what if in his previous life, the kid was a cultivation peak lord. Such a good imagination - must be Airplane's fault!

Insert scenes of Shen Jiu bullying Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge just going, "Ah, he inherited Shen Qingqiu's old personality..." (Yeah, Cang Qiong sees baby Shen Jiu's temperament as proof of Shen Yuan being the real Shen Qingqiu, just without his memories.)

But most importantly!!!! The caves gain a reputation of causing male cultivators to cultivate babies after Shang Qinghua ends up with an OG!Shang Qinghua baby!

(As for the other "parent"? It's thought to be Yue Qingyuan who was just passing by, but Shang Qinghua wonders if it's Mobei-Jun who had rudely interrupted Airplane's cultivation seclusion by teleporting into the caves.)

OG!Shang Qinghua, unlike Shen Jiu, is a real baby.

And so we get funny-awkward trio of Mobei Jun and Yue Qingyuan (unknowingly) battling each other for better "father" title of the year.
