sex. the sex pistols. sex as in the shop vivienne westwood and malcolm mclaren created to recreate fashion pieces of the emerging youth subculture in the uk. wanted to make their own monkees to promote the shop. saw a guy (johnny rotten) with the worst shirt in existence and called it a day and once they got their punk monkees they kicked the normal one out and replaced him with a girlfriend beater nazi. neither them or miss westwood or mr maclaren give a fuck about their nazi bass player wearing swastikas or that their fans (19 yr old siouxsie and ian curtis) would end up playing with things of that kind to the point the friend of one of their fans (genesis p'orridge of throbbing ghistle/psychic tv, who was good friends with ian curtis), would call them out and mock them by doing the exact same fucking thing. the only punk think they do is swear on live tv and get censored (the who, omd and soft cell got censored for more crazy reasons than that) johnny rotten calls out a pedo on live tv and that's the only good thing he does aside from a thing or two for music. they break up because the girlfriend beater nazi is *gasps* a horrible person and he dies after murdering his girlfriend. rotten makes a band and slowly reveals himself to the public as an alt right clown, mclaren rips off a bipolar romani pirate who's the face of mtv (adam ant) because of course he did and westwood became knighted. sex. the sex pistols. sex as in the shop-
