thank you, kingdom, for showing me rowoon's stupid, handsome face and making me want to check out their music. they're still calling me carpet and idk if they'll ever stop. I debated for a long time which album to put as my fave. almost chose their only actual album but decided that as a whole, 9loryUS is probably my favorite. I'm not 100% sure atp if inseong's my bias wrecker or if he never really vacated that bias position. like that particular set of inseong teasers are currently living in my head rent free, ignoring my repeated eviction notices. also why is that my favorite dawon selfie? someone explain.

how i got into them: this is the story of a long competition between sf9 and ptg in my brain because for some reason it couldn't accept that i could just . u know . get into both groups ?? n so since they debuted around the same time i kinda followed them both from afar nd it was like. i liked fanfare Much better than gorilla but then i'd like a pentagon release move than an sf9 one when they were also around the same time (very roughly) nd id be like oh? nd that kinda kept going for a while idk ?? but like i did follow their music and to an extent, them, since debut so i don't think there was like an actual clear moment when i was like ok time to stan, or anything, like, before i knew it i kinda. knew them alr you know? i also remember that there was this period of time where basically all i'd listen to for like a few months was their discography it was like . a few years ago like. 4 maybe 5.

which member would be my best friend: chanhee!!!!!!!! id self-proclaim myself his best friend whether he likes it or not id cling onto him idc also inseong!

something i associate with them: all the dramas come to mind. and fall! nd that one red carpet(?)ed room in fanfare nd im specifying this one just bc i made this remark while watching p1h's debut being like well this is Oddly reminiscent of fanfare.

THE PIECE OF9 ERA HIGHLIGHTS !!

BASIC INFORMATION + HER THOUGHTS & FANTASY’S REACTION:

The 12th mini album from the group !!

It was released JANUARY 9TH, 2023 but was recorded back in 2022.

THE PIECE OF9 sold a total of 179,666 copies in the first week of its release.

Honestly THE PIECE OF9 is one of her favorite comebacks they’ve done since 9LORYUS’s Summer Breeze; with KNIGHTS OF THE SUN’s O Sole Mio and MAMMA MIA!’s Mamma Mia coming in close second and third. 

In terms of line distribution, overall for this era, she ranks around the fifth spot for her lines.

Absolutely LOVES that ROWOON is back promoting with them. 

Despite how annoyingly a big and little brother he can be to her at the same time.

 This era was also a wild era for her since the two eldest members were participating in their mandatory military service. 

FANTASIES were here for her and the comeback. 

They always loved their spy / dark themed comebacks.

MV SHOTS + AESTHETICS:

Very spy + detective themed. 

She had shots in a shooting range which she got to fire a few different guns. 

Accidently showed a few behind the scenes photos on her instagram. 

Actually helped design the MV sets and teaser photos. 

THE ALBUM PHOTOCARDS:

The album has three versions, SCENE, FREEZE, and CATCH.

Each version has two types of photocards each, a special photocard and a selfie photocard respectively. 

The CATCH ver. photocards are the most sought after pair of her photocards that are available.

ERA STYLING:

SUITS ! SUITS ! SUITS !

A lot of black clothing to fit the aesthetic the group is going with this comeback.

Though she did have an occasional pop of colour. 

And a couple white outfits for the all while stages.

Black + short haired Yoobin also makes its first appearance !!

She had extensions for a small amount of time but was quick to take them out due to her not liking them. 

Also tried out fake bangs for a few schedules in this comeback but didn’t keep them for the whole duration. 

Overall, sophisticated and gorgeous !!

BONUS! FANSIGNS:

She didn’t participate a lot in the meet&greets for this era due to unknown personal scheduling. 

But when she did, FANTASIES loved her. 

They said that this era she’s looked very happy and excited to be promoting.
