Eddie’s eyes bulge out of their sockets when Buck takes the ice. The get up is ludicrous. He’s clearly not skating to How to Train your Dragon any more. The man is in a black fishnet top – he’s probably freezing – and the pants are absolutely sinful, plastered against his legs. To top it all off, he’s wearing suspenders. Eddie strongly suspects they’re LAFD surplus, bright red and yellow that contrasts with his pale skin and black fishnet. They’re totally superfluous: there’s no way the tight black pants are in any danger of slipping. In fact, Buck’s more in danger of not being able to peel them off.  If Eddie wasn’t so angry at Buck for running away, he’d be positively drooling. The camera pans in for a close-up on Buck’s face, and Eddie comes to the conclusion that Buck wearing eyeliner should be illegal. The black liner makes his eyes pop: they’re terrifyingly blue and Buck breaks the fourth wall, staring directly into the lens. Eddie shifts in his seat, unnerved, like somehow Buck is perceiving him in that very moment.

I personally think it is categorically hilarious that Buck is seemingly gonna rock up to his sisters wedding with a boyfriend having not told his parents of this development in his life.

It is peak trolling payback to drop that bomb on them in an environment where they have to play nice after all they’ve done to him. This is baby box the revenge and I am here for it

after buck and eddie get together, eddie starts giving buck absentminded kisses all the time.

kiss on the forehead after he passes him his morning coffee. kiss on the cheek while buck is cooking dinner. kiss on the back of his hand as buck drives them to bobby’s house for a family bbq. kiss on top of his head while they cuddle watching a documentary. kiss on his shoulder while they sit on the station couch reading in between calls.

but buck’s favorite kisses? the ones edde blows him from a distance. when no one is looking during a call and they have to separate, buck doing evac and eddie treating some minor burns. when buck is pulling out of the their driveway to go meet maddie and jee for lunch and eddie sees him off from the front porch. during their family night out at the movies with chris in between them before the action film their son chose and they’re both probably going to hate begins.

every single blown kiss is always followed by eddie mouthing “i love you” at him, and every single time buck feels himself start to blush, the butterflies in his stomach staging a very chaotic and uncoordinated flash mob.

there’s something so exhilarating about knowing that no matter how close or far away they physically are eddie always wants to be kissing him. like eddie knows just as well as buck does that his lips were always meant to graze buck’s skin and leave behind goosebumps for hours to come.

even when they can’t see each other at all, buck knows eddie is thinking about it too because eddie does not go more than 3 hours without sending him little 😘 emojis. he doesn’t say anything else, doesn’t contextualize them because he doesn’t need to. it's just random 😘 throughout the day, scattered in between the rest of their texts.

Buck is mesmerized as Eddie takes the ice. He’d seen the costume sketch, watched as Eddie went through the initial fitting, hell, he’d even seen him in costume. But not on the ice, under the lights. [...] Eddie breaks the spin as the chaotic music transitions into something more sedate. There’s no trace of the nervousness Eddie had about this section earlier; the man looks positively transcendent as he floats across the ice, sweeping gestures holding the entire audience in his thrall. The music peaks into the final recitation of the melody and Eddie leans back, arms unfurled into a simple spread eagle. As far as Buck’s concerned, Eddie’s the only star in the night sky and he is utterly transfixed.
