Seriously, Reddit is a Godsend.

girl typing a very specific question into google search bar, scrunching her face as she takes time to make sure she hasn't made any spelling errors, hitting enter, shaking her head as google only presents her with unhelpful websites that don't answer her query at all, moving her cursor back to the search bar and clicking on it so she can carefully write 'reddit' at the end, hitting enter again, sighing with relief as she finds a link to a reddit post asking the exact question she needed answered posted in a subreddit for a very niche topic, finally moving her cursor to click on the link, wondering why she didn't go straight to the subreddit earlier, only to be met with a deleted comment with a reply from the OP stating 'that was very helpful, thanks', sighing with frustration as she moves her cursor back to the search bar so she can copy the link and paste it into the wayback machine,

50 jaar geleden verscheen het derde album van Queen: 'Sheer Heart Attack'. Dat album stond vanavond centraal als LP van de Week. Ook de cover in de DisCovered was een nummer van dat album dat ik draaide in een live versie die in 1992 werd gespeeld op het Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

Why UWSP?

I was and still am one of those individuals who overthinks every decision in their lives. Saying that, choosing a school was rather difficult for me. I ended up here at University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point because of its close location to home, it being a smaller sized school, and the vibe it gave off. A “vibe” is hard to describe, but it gave me a sense in which I was going in the right direction. I also chose Stevens Point for the reason of seperating from my high school colleagues. I enjoyed my time in high school, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted to start fresh with a unique location being with unique people comparing to Freedom, WI.

Stevens Point became a place that is familiar and comfortable to me. At first I was uneasy here not because of the school, but because of change. I struggle all my life when a change comes into my life. Adjusting to a different lifestyle always takes me months or even a year to become comfortable and confident in the present time. I’m not sure why I am the way I am, but everyone is different especially through ways when choosing and adjusting to your chosen college.

UWSP has taught me so much already, and I am grateful for that. The various opportunities it has brought to me has developed who I am today. I found out how a long distance relationship works, I had the honor of working at a radio station (90fm), and meeting musicians here that I now get to perform with all the time! In addition, of course I have become more independent like the typical college student says. I finally feel in control of my life, and am no longer scared to be an adult. WOW!
