An Israeli influence campaign is using hundreds of online avatars and fake social media accounts to attack Democratic lawmakers critical of Israel and promote news articles disapproving of the United Nations Palestine refugee agency (Unrwa), according to a report by the Israeli online watchdog, Fake Reporter. According to the report, the targeted campaign has used more than 600 avatars, sending out 58,000 tweets and social media posts to circulate articles published by The Guardian, CNN and Wall Street Journal, among other major news outlets that amplify Israel’s position on the war. The campaign relies on three major social networks, UnFold Magazine, Non-Agenda and The Moral Alliance, which were created prior to the war in Gaza. But the Hamas-led 7 October attack on southern Israel sent the accounts into round-the-clock posting. The sites, according to Fake Reporter, are geared specifically to a “progressive audience”, publishing content on climate change, AI regulation, and human rights, in addition to the war in Gaza. They have more than 43,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The avatars promoting the content talk up their identity with lines like, “As a middle-aged African American woman” and use hashtags like #FaithJourney and #AfricanAmericanSpirituality.

The avatars were all created on the same day and their profiles were written with the same formula, subbing out just a few words. The declared gender and ethnicity of the avatars don’t match the profile photos, which have been taken from websites selling headshots. The campaign works to amplify news stories published by major media outlets. First, the fake news sites share the reports. Then, the avatars share them across social media, including on the official accounts of Democratic lawmakers. Avatars also shared social media posts showing video clips of what appeared to be Pro-Palestinian protestors calling for "massacres to be normalised" and calling for the US to "go to hell", contrasting that with peaceful protests of pro-Israel protestors.   In other cases, Avatars simply reshared widely published video clips of US lawmakers questioning the heads of Ivy League schools about antisemitism on campus.  [...] According to the report, around 85 percent of all the US politicians targeted by the campaign were Democrats, and 90 percent of them were African Americans. Ritchie Torres, a black Democratic Congressman with generally pro-Israel views, garnered the most social media engagement from the avatars. Other lawmakers targeted included Cori Bush; Lucy McBath; House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries; and Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock. Israeli news site Haaretz reported in January that the Israeli government had launched an online influence campaign to respond to pro-Palestinian content and reports about Hamas.  It’s unclear whether the campaign revealed by Fake Reporter is part of that initiative.

Thinking of a Jegulus Arranged Marriage Au where they both hate the marriage and actively cheat on each other until they get so fed up with each other that they start trying to ruin every single affair. James brings someone to their master bedroom? Too late Regulus is already there. Regulus tries to have a nice date? Fuck no, James is showing up to cause a scene. James wants to get something nice for a lover? Nah, Regulus is chucking that shit into their expensive fireplace. Regulus wants to try cooking for their lover? James is on his way to start a fire when they both aren't looking.

It's almost comedic seeing them try and fuck up the other's attempt at a normal love life. Sirius argues that they could probably get a divorce after some time but they are determined to reap the benefits of their arranged marriage. But it's dragged on long enough that the line between spite and jealousy starts to blur and soon James and Regulus take fewer lovers and attempts of sabotage become more aggressive, meant to inflict more pain, sometimes doing permanent damage.

Idk I was thinking about Jason and Mia and once again writing a Seeing Red AU and I was mulling over it and just decided to say fuck it, let's do aliens or something. Just because it would be incredibly funny to have the whole set-up and them going at each other and then just aliens. And now it's them having to go at the aliens together instead, all the while Jason is keeping his lecture monologue going and Mia is yelling at him to shut the fuck up already. They end up being frighteningly effective teamed up and figuring out how to stab or shoot at something even better.

Anyway every time Jason says something during his monologue that exposes something about himself Mia (while shooting at aliens) is just like

Subtext. Carmy pays attention to Sydney as soon as she enters his view. He always has.

She's blurred in this shot, but watch Carmy. He doesn't even finish the second 'yeah' before his eyes land on her- he already notices that Sydney is here. She is dressed nicely, and he needs to focus on her.

Very subtle, but once Sydney turns around, the camera pans to the center and is focused shot when Sydney turns around- his perspective that once he gets her attention, his eyes are only for Sydney?

Let's skip when she says good morning- subtext- between the lines- the acting. Carmy has dreamy eyes, and words slow down as he gets a good look at Sydney- his second no is almost breathless- there's a pause before he gives her a compliment.

Carmy- I think we get all this body language from Sydney because we're in Carmy's point of view- he's paying attention to her monotone- thanks and her resignation as she takes off her bow.

We know this because of the look on his face when she asks him, "How about you? Did you answer?

He takes a moment to catch up to what she asked him, blinking as if he's coming back to the present moment.

His thoughts were somewhere else.

They cut this really fast so we dont see his expression had changed to one of openness when he tells her she looks nice- to a pondering frown as he's watching her remove her bow. He has been staring at her like that the entire time, feeling sad as she quickly takes off the items he had been noticing.

Subtext for me? I think he hopes she will explain why she is so dressed up. Perhaps he is thinking she was on a date? He knows she was out with someone.

Throughout the season, underneath everything being said and done- we're seeing that Carmy is still paying attention to Syd. Still focused on her (not the restaurant but her!) Even with the misdirection of Claire.

I will provide screenshots of this man's disappointment. They deliberately do not show his face change as he watches her take off what he noticed she was wearing; it’s a small reaction.

Marcus' words earlier in 3x03 about paying attention - he also says when someone pays attention- like really pays attention, it's something special. The subtext tells us what Carmy and Sydney have, always paying attention to each other - the message is that the relationship is special and we should be paying attention to this thing between them.
