Lord Apollon is often referred to as the Leader of the Mused, and depicted with Them, and I’d like to honor Them as well as Him with introducing Them!

The Muses

There are 3 sets of Mousai (Muses)

- The Mousai Titanides, 3 or 4 elder Muses, children of Ouranos and Gaia

- The 9 Olympian Mousai, the ones I’m mostly talking about in this post

- The Mousai Apollonides, 3 daughters of Apollon

The 9 Muses are goddesses of music, song, dance, knowledge, and inspiration. They are children of Zeus and Mnemosyne.

The Muses are Kalliope (epic poetry), Kleio (history), Euterpe (lyric poetry), Melopmene (tragedy), Terpsichore (choral dance and song), Erato (Erotic poetry), Polymnia (sublime hymn), Ourania (astronomy), and Thalia (comedy).

literally such a random ass thought but i wanna see if other ppl feel the same way

do any of you guys feel sort of that liminal spacey creeped out feel when going to the eigion warden/the lower parts of the water? just the way it gets dark is dreadful and makes me feel so claustrophobic but lost at the same time. literally cannot go down there.

that part of the lore event was hell for me, having to go down and delivier the crystals one by fucking one, and just my luck when the eigions the warden shrine that reqires the least sarcrifices to get the jewels for the artifacts lol

(if anything all of the warden shrines kinda freak me out, hellion i cant even look at, ardor kinda gives me heebie jeebies when i fly near it, novus is very liminal cuz its up so damn high, angelic is fucking trapped under a gd rock, so like...incredibly similar to eigion tbh, the only ones that dont rlly bother me are the boreal (bc that shits 2 tall for me to see half the time going in, the verdant and the garra bc ive gotten used to his ass. IRONICALLY? old map garra was the scarriest fucking one for me, being under the volcano obscured by water terrified me. )

Tressa. Time.

So a couple months ago I decided to challenge myself to draw all the octopath 1 travelers in the job outfits I gave them, and then halfway through the sketches I got the brilliant idea to try practicing a new coloring style on them 😅 Starting with Tressa because I hadn't drawn her face before and also I miss her beautiful little wolf hat more with every passing day. Hopefully this will be part of a series!

So over December I picked up a copy of Forbidden Scrollery right? Which for those who aren't obsessed with Touhou like me is one of many official Touhou mangas because I had NO idea they had been officially localised and had a physical English print and man it's just so GOOD.

Not only is Moe Harukawa just an amazing artist but the stories are just so distinctly touhou. It's like something you'd find in the games!!! There's just a kind of joy that I've been having reading through it because you'd never have thought we'd get English physical copies (and if you did it would be really hard to find)

But no! It was right there in the manga section. Forbidden scrollery. It's awesome. I love that touhou is FINALLY getting recognised for being popular. Godspeed 🙏

I still think even now in 2023 it’s so incredibly bold and mature and deep of Hiromu Arakawa to actually state in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood that a complete and total government takedown/reformation is the only way to reshape a country that was built for the sole purpose of being a militarized state, and even more incredible and bold to have the protagonists reinforce this by acknowledging their statuses as war criminals, acknowledging in their new world they will be put on trial for genocide and still pursuing it anyway because its the right and necessary thing to do

Reaching into the well to touch the water along with keeping your balance to not fall in. The other fun part is standing up and staying on the stones without disturbing the rest of the water.
