31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 16

My choice for last night was: Prom Night (1980)

I rated this movie 5/10. Average 80's teen slasher movie. The unlikeable characters were unlikeable, you felt bad for the people you were supposed to feel bad for. The identity of the killer was very obvious. Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job, as she always does. If you like 80's cheesy horror, you'll like this.

I love Molly’s character because she’s strong in her own way, to me she’s was always innocent, and it’s clear to me that Molly has had a very hard life. And was someone who wanted to have a little magic in her life. But was beaten down by how cruel and harsh the world around her is and over time learns that maybe there is magic or wonder left. Or worse that there never was, but seeing the unicorn and seeing Molly as she is. And seeing that there is really magic and wonder to have, even though she is she middle aged. And has been hardened by the world around her, deep down she’s still a kind and innocent woman. Hell, I even have a cousin who actually relates to her character and he’s a man. For him Molly showed that you can still have adventure and magic in your life even as you get older. And it’s fine that life doesn’t go as you wanted it to, it happens.
