So I am making a IT(Movies) au of Dead poets society

I won't be matching the characters up or anything it will just be the poets in a small town dealing with the clown with some similar plot points

However, I can match dynamics

So Reddie? I have compared Reddie and Anderperry, but that's just narratively, right? Dynamic wise, they aren't very similar.

You know what is similar to Reddie dynamic though? Chameron.

Cameron and Charlie as the Reddie dynamic. Cameron fits more as Eddie and Charlie fits more as Richie, but I think it would be really fun to give Cameron more of Richie's story beats...

See my vision....Cameron and Charlie as best friends who butt heads a lot but they care about each other. As teens, Cameron is in love with Charlie, but it's the 80s (IT movies timeline), he's deeply closeted about it but it's there

Cameron carving his and Charlie's initials into the kissing bridge as a teenager because it's the closest he ever has to let out his feelings....Cameron being tormented by pennywise the clown about his secret (being gay) getting out....

And during the IT chapter 2 period when they are adults...he forced to forget those feelings when he left the town but they are all suddenly coming back to him now that everyone is back and ready to kill pennywise for real this time

And wouldn't it be so fun if Charlie was the one to die saving Cameron? Leaving Cameron the one left alive grieving and mourning an unrequited love, or maybe it was required but now he will never have the chance to know.
