 Allied troops were involved in the combat. Over 8 Allied armored divisions took part in the battle including General Patton's 3rd Army. 

75 miles 

During the Battle of the Bulge, the German offensive spanned across a roughly 75-mile front line in the Ardennes Forest, where they launched their attack against the Allied forces.

My MIL, Dr. Carrie Frazier, is retiring & celebrating 80 years of life on Earth in March!

Carrie has done the Good Work her whole life, uplifting, counseling and teaching families & youth in the East Bay, CA since before 1970!

Dr. Frazier has facilitated everything from Family healthcare clinics, outreach to the poor & disabled to help connect them with services, counseling youth who are struggling to find their way, culturally & historically educational events and workshops, & so much more.

It is our turn to give back!

Carrie needs to downsize her SUV for retirement, and we are hoping to help her with a sizeable down payment. Her SUV is going to be given to us since we don't have a car, so we won't be trading it in, & a bigger down payment will make the monthly payments much smaller. We plan to pay her car note each month so Carrie doesn't have that expense to worry about in retirement.

These funds will also help pay for lodging for her grandkids for a few days, so everyone can be there to celebrate Grandma Carrie, as well as paying for a portion of the party/celebration.

Thank you for taking the time to read about Dr. Carrie Frazier. She is a Godsend & I'm really blessed to have her for a mother-in-law.

The Oath of Buchenwald

Beginning in the morning of April 11, 1945, armoured divisions of the Third U.S. Army advanced towards the east from the area near Gotha. At 10:00 am, all SS men were ordered to leave the camp. The International Camp Committee mobilized its resistance fighters and began to distribute hidden weapons. Around noon, the commanding SS officers fled. The guards abandoned the watchtowers. Around 2:30 pm the tanks of the Fourth Armoured Division rolled through the SS complex without stopping. The SS fled. Armed inmates took control of the camp and overpowered the last remaining SS soldiers. By 4:00 pm they had taken control of the camp. Buchenwald was freed from within and without. About one hour later, scouts from the Fourth and Sixth Armoured Divisions were the first American soldiers to reach the camp. 21,000 inmates were liberated on that day, among them some 900 children and youth.

Since the camp was founded in July 1937, more than a quarter of a million people from over 50 countries had been deported to Buchenwald concentration camp or one of its satellite camps: 249,570 men and boys and 28,230 women and girls aged between two and 86. Around 56,000 of them did not survive the deportation to Buchenwald concentration camp.

Human dignity is inviolable, they say.

Is it?

We are in the midst of ‘never again’, and have been there for years now. Humanity failed. Again. Mankind can aparently not be trusted. We will do everything for greed, and power and selfish comfort. We have time and again failed out ancestors, our children, this world, God’s creation (if in God we believe) and ourselves.

Still, let them not be forgotten. Let it never be forgotten that the dignity of millions -MILLIONS- was violated. That they were hunted and dehumanised and treated like animals. That the movement of a thumb determined between death and hell once. Not life and death. There was obmy hell. And it were Men who moved the thumb, who turned the nobs, who drove the trains. No monsters. Men.

And Men will do it all again, if they are given the chance.

Still, it remains- human dignity is inviolable. So please, PLEASE, if you will not stand up against this madness, then at least don’t forget.
