I’m backkkkk

Holy mother of god the past couple days have been hell for me, especially yesterday. For some reason i couldn’t sleep on Sunday night and got like 1.5 hours of sleep. Normally, being sleep deprived is actually hard for me because i can’t function to my fullest and reality is kinda distorted, but i can usually bear through it; but not when my energy is still zapped from some major energy work. I actually ended up calling into work sick, and i’m glad that i did, because if i didn’t it would’ve ended up being a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

But i got extra sleep last night and i’m finally feeling sooo much better. I also am back in tune with my spirits again! I did some nice catching up with them for a bit. I also spoke with the big tree at my work, who commented that my energy looks different. I mentioned that i’ve been attuned to fae energy and he called me a “forest sprite” which i actually love very much and describes me wonderfully.

I also spoke with Prince again. He looks much more youthful today, and he told me that that is because my fae energy has improved. I actually had a good conversation with him that i thought was kinda funny but also informative that i wanted to share:

Me: “And what about my fae energy?? How’s it looking??”

P: “It’s looking very good. Even though your energy was depleted the past couple of days, it still continued to change. Actually, it might’ve even helped it progress. Anyways, you have a nice little fae aura about you, which is excellent”

Me: “Would you say that it’s a... faerie ring?”

P: “No, of course it isn’t a faerie ring, do you not know what that is?”

Me: “No, i do, it was a joke. I guess i’m discerning the literalness of the fae now, too. I would like to hear about your definition of a faerie ring, though, if you don’t mind. I’m curious”

P: “Okay. Well a faerie ring on our end is kind of like a portal... no that isn’t right. It’s more of like an anchoring point for the fae to be in an area that would otherwise be unstable or outside of their domain.”

Me: “In the human world, there are tales that if a human walks into a faerie ring it’s a portal to the fae realm and they are abducted. What do you think about that?”

P: “Any human being that encroaches on fae territory uninvited will be met with harshly. I wouldn’t say that it’s a real portal for humans to enter into the fae realm, but i’m sure that as a result of entering one they’ve been... taken into the fae realm shortly thereafter.

Me: “Very interesting. Is it okay if i share this information with the people on my blog? I mean my journal is there, but others read it”

P: “Of course. The less humans that trespass in fae territory, the better”

I thought that was funny lol. But yeah i’m feeling pretty good. I’m just really grateful that all of that is over and i have my energy back.

A wise man once said, Opinions are like noses: everyone has one. 

In this fandom, known for its emotional volatility, it’s important to remember that everyone’s opinion is valid...and to realize that opinions can change based on new information. That’s okay. It’s doesn’t mean that the first opinion was wrong, just that it has evolved. 

I’m known as being a very steadfast shipper. I trust what I know, and it takes a lot to make me doubt. I remember that happening only after the Interview From Hell and after this weekend’s Wedding That Never Was™️ (IMO). It took several days after the IFH before my logic prevailed and I could once again see clearly. It took only a matter of hours this past weekend. 

I’m a rather strange combination of intuition and logic. I feel and see things deeply, yet it doesn’t ring true unless it aligns with my logical side. What has consistently felt true has been the rare and radiant love I’ve seen between Sam and Cait. It’s what drew me to Outlander, and I’ve heard fellow bloggers say the same thing. My blog is partly about honoring that kind of love.

Many former shippers no longer believe in their love, because they don’t present it the way they used to. In the early days Sam and Cait were giddy with love, and it was obvious to anyone who saw them. That was before they knew what the entertainment industry was like, and that it would demand its pound of flesh.  

I don’t know whether the outer changes are a) due to concern for their loved ones; b) wanting separate personas for career advancement; or c) toeing the line drawn by their bosses (or a combination thereof). What I do know is that Sam and Cait are a team. They make their decisions together. I also know they’re doing the best they can. 

I guess what I’m trying to say is, my opinion is perfect for me. You don’t have to agree with it. Your opinion is perfect for you, and I don’t have to agree with it. Regardless of our individual perspectives, I hope we can agree that everyone deserves kindness and respect. I’d love to see that here again.
