hii three questions in one ask for fun. who r ur favorite charas, what r ur fav arcs and what r ur fav subplots in mha :}} big fan of the todofam sideplot and the endeavor agency arc… bkdk third wheeling family drama. hilarious… 😁😁
genuinely HOW could you do this to me, I am so indecisive and I have so many favorite things </3 Also get ready for the sheer volume of words I am about to throw at you :D
SO, favorite characters. Obv there are So Many Characters in this show, but I still feel like I can count the ones I don't like on one hand and have fingers left over. I definitely have some obvious favorites (Aizawa, Mic, Shinsou) and some only-slightly-less obvious ones (Shigaraki, All Might, Hawks), but there are also some faves I don't yap about as much like Kirishima, Jirou, Miruko, and VLAD KING the LOVE of my LIFE. I queued a post recently about Inasa being an underrated fave, which is still true, but Vlad King is truly the king (haHA) of underrated faves. I love that man a ridiculous amount. THE TL;DR HERE IS THAT I LOVE 98% OF THE CHARACTERS IN THIS SHOW SM IT'S UNREAL.
Arcs & subplots under the keep reading bc my main personality trait (never shutting up) struck again ! The short answer is Sports Festival & Todorokis, Shinsou, Rooftop gang for anyone who doesn't want to stare at that wall of text 😭
Favorite arcs: I have almost as many favorite arcs as I do favorite characters LMAO. You are SO RIGHT about the Endeavor Agency arc; usually people are forced to witness Midoriya & Bakugou's drama but oh, how the tables have turned. I also love Fuyumi and Natsuo and am always delighted to see them, even if they <3 punching me directly in the feelings :(
The USJ arc is, imo, a perfectly executed plot point, so from a writing perspective I really love USJ. It's got action, it's got character spotlights, but most importantly, it ties together the plot/character/worldbuilding threads of the first season so perfectly. Like. It's seamless. It was a writing school level moment. No notes.
The Hideout Raid arc (specifically All Might vs AFO) and Paranormal Liberation War gave me grays at 25. Joint Training is always a delight. But if I had to pick One Arc to Rule Them All it might honestly be Sports Festival?? It features all of my top three favorite characters for more than one (1) scene each and it is just. Such a wild time.
There is so much to unpack about this arc but it has a very special place in my heart bc the first time I ever watched it (so, like, 5+ years ago) my sister and I for some reason decided to treat it like people who care about the Super Bowl treat the Super Bowl. It was our Olympics except the team we were rooting for changed depending on the episode. To this day I remember my sister turning on a DIME from hating Bakugou since Season 1 Episode 1 to CHAMPIONING him with her whole chest bc Monoma pissed her off so much when he stole Bakugou's headbands. And now he's like her second favorite character in the entire series so?? Origin story moment ig.
Last but not least, favorite subplots!!
TODOROKIS. YEAH. Their entire plotline was one of the major factors that motivated me to catch up on the show. I was like what do you mean they're trying to give superhero Fire Lord Ozai a redemption arc? What do you mean that other fire guy was actually a Todoroki? Like... you have to remember that where I left off w this show, Endeavor seemed to exist solely to give Shouto a backstory, and honestly I remembered like nothing about Dabi. If getting back into MHA was a pit of quicksand the Todorokis truly walked me right up to the edge of it. It was like that part of TAZ where Taako is like 'okay that's weird enough that I'm gonna go in there.'
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Shinsou's off-screen character arc is EVERYTHING to me. I could write a thesis on this side character who appears like. Three times in the entire show. Shinsou really said 'I will be a mirror character AND undo the First Great Contradiction of this series AND have tangible, believable character growth, all while being given less screen time than Mineta' and I love that for him.
The rooftop gang... I'm not going to say much on this one for manga reasons but it's definitely a subplot I find very compelling. I'm still ruminating on its execution so far but I Did Cry over the Reveal in season 5. It re-contextualized so much, not just about Aizawa and Mic, but about UA and the lives of hero students. Ack.
TYSM FOR THIS ASK, this week has been three weeks long but I had so much fun writing this exhausted ramble <3

700 words of Prospect hurt/comfort, enjoy
—- “Ezra!”
Her anguished voice echoes through the trees. It’s been said that the Green has its own haunting beauty, but all he sees now is cruelty, a maze of greenery and vines and thickets, throwing sound from one vast tree trunk to another, keeping him from his girl.
“Ezra, help! Help me!”
He tries to run toward her voice, but his legs are weighed down with lead, his lungs heavy with Dust. Tries to call out to her. “I’m coming, birdy! Where are you?” It comes out barely a whisper.
“Ezra please!” She is begging him now, as if he wouldn’t saw his other arm off if she needed him to, as if he would not give her his very heart. He struggles through the trees, tripping over the brush, continuing forward on hand and knees.
“Cee, I’m coming, I promise you I’m coming! Tell me where you are, little bird!”
She doesn’t answer him, only screams and sobs, every cry tearing through him like a knife. Finally he falls upon a clearing in the trees.The Queen’s Lair lays before him, and she lies at its edge, her face covered in tears and naked fear. She reaches for him, nails clawing into the dirt. “Ezra, help! Ezra!” Dark figures pull at her limbs and her hair, dragging her back into the pit, first her father, then the Saters, then the mercs. “No! Let me go, no!”
He snarls, ready to tear limb from limb, but however hard he tries he cannot get closer to her, always struggling in the dirt, pulled five steps back with every one he drags himself forward, he can’t get to her.
“Please!” She sobs. He feels  her despair as if its his own, but he’s trying, he’s not leaving her, this isn’t fair. “Please Ezra, you can’t let them take me, you can’t, we had a deal-”
“Hey! Wake up. Ezra.” He comes to with a start. The night is pitch black in front of him. A slight weight on his shoulder causes him to reach out in reflex until a thin arm is firmly in his grasp.
“Birdie?” His voice is harsh and panicked in the stillness of the night.
“I’m right here.”
He sets up with a start, now just able to make out her slight silhouette in the darkness. He reaches for her, able to get his hand on the side of her neck, feel that she is whole and hale. He looks around anxiously, but it’s too dark to see any threat that might be there. He lets go of her just long enough to reach the bedside light. But when the room is finally illuminated, there is no one there. No enemies, no dangers, just the two of them. She squeezes his arm where it is wrapped around her.
“Ezra, it’s okay.” Her serious expression is somewhat adorably at odds with her oversized Life is better on Lao! t-shirt and her bedhead. He tries to school his expression, calm his rapidly beating heart. She is safe, here with him in their little one bedroom flat, watching him concernedly. “Bad dream?”
“‘Fraid so, little bird.” He runs a hand down his face. “Did I wake you?”
She shrugs. “Yeah. It’s okay.”
“What was I saying?”
“I couldn’t really tell. You were just yelling.”
He hopes he doesn’t look too relieved at that. Besides, it’s nothing he wants to trouble her with. All thoughts of the Green belong far from her mind.
He looks up at the hand on his shoulder, her thumb rubbing back and forth against his arm. It’s not something she used to do, the touching. The comforting. He taught her that, somehow., though he doesn’t know how that could be.
They taught each other.
He gives her a smile. “Thank you for the rescue, little bird. I’m sorry for the interruption to your rest.” He ruffles the hair sticking up at the crown of her head. “Back to bed with you, yes? You’ve got class in the morning.”
She smiles, squeezes his arm. “Maybe some tea first? It always takes me a while to get sleepy again.”
That’s how he spends the next half hour, watching her putter around the kitchen, drinking tea side by side, their shoulders brushing together, allowing his heartbeat and his mind to finally settle.

I am Boruto Uzumaki, and I am Hyuuga by PeacefulWarrior82
Anime » Naruto Rated: T, English, Adventure, Naruto U., Hinata H., Boruto U., Himawari U., Words: 13k+, Favs: 139, Follows: 92, Published: Dec 15, 2014 Updated: Dec 28, 2014
52Chapter 1
Naruto Characters are property of Masashi Kishimoto. Many people speculate how Boruto and Himawari could follow in their father's footprints. For a while I felt that also. but then i realized, it was right in my face the entire time of how they can deal with personal struggles. This short story is one such tale, It takes place between ending of Naruto the last movie and chapter 700.
00000000000000000000000000
It was a bright sunny day in Konohagakure, one Hinata Uzumaki was seen with sweat dripping off her face as she reached her last pull up before letting go of the bar in her room. She proceeded to rub her arm and stretch it out. After showering she got dressed and went on about her day. She walked past a family portrait. Himawari was sitting quietly on her lap smiling. Boruto on the other hand was seen struggling and uppercutting punching his father in the throat.
Upon seeing it, Hinata laughed so hard she begged Naruto to let this be their family portrait. Naruto clearly agreed after promptly grounding his son.
" Nee-sama?" Hinata heard from downstairs. She walked down.
" Hanabi! Hi!" Hinata walked over to see that both Hanabi and Hiashi standing in the foyer area. "Hi what's going on?" Hinata asked.
" We decided to stop by, we have something of a rather large matter to discuss. Is Naruto here?" Hiashi asked.
" He took the kids with him to the store, he should be back very soon." Hinata said. " So what's this large matter?"
Hanabi looked to her father who's eyes dimmed. Hinata looked at them.
" What's wrong?" Hinata asked.
Hanabi appeared to be getting emotional. She tried smiling as she spoke " Well…..I'm pregnant…."
Hinata's eyes lit up. " Are you serious!?" She said ecstatically. " That's great news!"
Hanabi looked at her father.
" What is it?" Hinata asked. "*gasp* is the baby ok?"
Hinata looked down at Hanabi's abdomen and activated her Byakugan.
That was when she saw it. She looked back up at Hanabi.
" Oh…" Hinata knew right away why Hanabi was upset. " ...I see."
" I won't do it…" Hanabi said, beginning to cry. " i can't do it."
She reached to hug her sister " Nee-sama don't let them do it!" She cried.
" Hanabi!" Hinata said as she placed her hands on her sister's shoulders, making sure she looked her directly in the eye. " Naruto-kun and I are NOT going to let that happen, do you understand?"
Hanabi shook her head yes, tears still in her eyes.
" Does the council know?" Hinata asked Hiashi.
" No."
" Good, let's keep it that way. The less they know , the better."
Hanabi smiled as tears still came down her face.
" Don't worry about that. Be happy! You're gonna be a mother!"
Hanabi laughed.
" "Jii-san!" Boruto yelled as he dashed towards him.
" *gasp* jii-san! Hanabi baa-chan!" Himawari came running after her brother.
Boruto leapt into his grandfather's arms.
" Boruto!" Hinata said.
" It's ok, these 2 keep me young." Hiashi laughed.
" Let's train!" Boruto yelled. Himawari ran up and hugged her grandfather's leg.
" Maybe later Boruto, Hanabi and i have to talk to your parents about something."
Himawari ran and hugged Hanabi's leg. " Hanabi 'baa-chan, will you play with me today?"
" Of course I will sweetie." Hanabi said.
" Yo!" Naruto said walking in with a bag of groceries.
" Good morning Naruto." Hiashi smiled.
Hanabi bowed.
"Hey guys what's up?"
Later….
" Twins?" Naruto said.
" Hai." Hiashi said.
" I see…"
" Naruto…" Hanabi started. " I always wanted to have just one child so I would never…..but I didn't anticipate this…."
" As you know Naruto, I myself am a twin. But I was the first born, so I was made future head of the clan. My brother Hizashi on the other hand was branded with the caged bird seal, and forced into the branch house. If we allow the council to have their way, it will be the same case for Hanabi." Hiashi said.
" I wanted to do this when I became Hokage, but it looks like it can't wait. Let's go see Kakashi-sensei. He'll help." Naruto said.
" Naruto, that won't work. Kakashi-sama won't be able to do anything." Hiashi said.
" He's the Hokage, he can fix this." Naruto said.
" Naruto…" Hiashi started. " Don't you think the previous Hokage tried to put a stop to this for generations?"
" Well if they had, why is it still around?"
" Naruto, when the fore fathers wanted to build the Hidden Leaf what they needed more than anything was finance. That is why the came to the Hyuuga with their proposal, since they were trying to unite the clans anyway. When they agreed to pay for most of the resources they had stipulations, namely that when the Hyuuga join the Hidden Leaf, the governing bodies stay out of their affairs. This was a stipulation that was to remain intact indefinitely. This in turn explains why no Hokage has been able to do anything." Hiashi said.
" I didn't know that." Naruto said. " But then why come to us?"
Hiashi was silent for a moment. He brought his hands together in front of his face. " Naruto…tell me, how much have you learned about the Uzumaki clan?"
Naruto was silent. " Hiashi, if you know something please tell me and don't dance around it."
Hiashi took a deep breath. " Naruto, the Hyuuga have been around for a very very long time. During that time there was much civil unrest which led to infighting in the clan, Branch and Main families fought constantly. A generation came where the head of the Hyuuga clan at that time realized that this would lead to the extinction of the clan. So he sought out a means to keep the branch members under control. The threat of execution clearly did nothing. So he needed a way to physically disable them from attacking the Main branch. That was when he was approached by a member of the Uzumaki clan."
Naruto and Hinata were shocked.
" You should know by now Naruto, The Uzumaki were masters and innovators of sealing jutsu. The one who approached the Hyuuga was a warden at a prison for the most vile of shinobi criminals. The Uzumaki created this seal to place on the heads of criminals upon admittance to the prison. If an inmate were to attack a guard or a riot broke out. They would simply activate the seal to subdue them."
Naruto looked down at the table, he didn't want to believe it, but everything made sense. " Oh my God, I told Neji I would change the Hyuuga clan, but my ancestors are responsible for his pain.
" Naruto, you cannot blame yourself, nor your clan, it was this one Uzumaki who for all we know desperately needed the money."
" I can't…no…" Naruto stars at the table below him.
" Naruto-kun…" Hinata held his hand. " That Uzumaki was not you. There's nothing we can do about that but we can do something now."
" Like what?"
" Naruto, the Uzumaki always made it a policy to never create a seal without a way to release it." Hiashi said. " You might be able to find out a way through your lineage."
" Gah! I wish my mother had told me more about our clan with the little time we had."
" Well for now, Hanabi you will be staying here. We don't want the council activating their Byakugan and accidentally seeing the babies."
" Nee-sama I can't do that! I don't want to impose." Hanabi said.
" Nonsense!" Hinata said.
" Hanabi baa-chan can sleep in my room!" Said a voice from behind a wall.
" Gah! Way to go sis!" Boruto yelled.
" You 2 were eavesdropping !?" Naruto said, his eyes white with shock and frustration.
The next day….
Boruto was wearing Hyuuga training attire as he attacked his grandfather with a palm strike which Hiashi parried.
" Excellent Boruto!" Hiashi said. He launched a kick to Boruto, He quickly blocked it.
Boruto had been training in Gentle-fist for almost 2 years now. Hiashi couldn't believe his grandson had gotten as far as he did despite not having the Byakugan. However, he managed to adjust thanks to a new style Hiashi travelled abroad to learn so he could teach it to his grandchildren, but that's a story for another time.
As Hiashi trained with Boruto , a young Hyuuga maybe about 7 observed them while he was training with an adult Main family member. He sported brown short hair which he kept parted to one side.
" Kinjo." Said the Main branch member. " Focus on me, nobody else."
Later, A Main house member performed the 8 Trigrams 32 palms of divinity on a striking post.
" Who would like to attempt this technique?" A Main branch member said to the Hyuuga students with Boruto standing alongside them.
All were hesitant.
" Me!" Boruto yelled as he raised his hand, which prompted snickers from the other children.
" Boruto…" Hiashi said walking up to him. " This might not be right for you. You have to be able to see your opponents' Tenketsu for it ti work
Boruto groaned. " Come on Jii-san, let me try!"
Hiashi was hesitant at first. " Ok, now this is a very complicated technique so don't worry if you don't get it the first time."
" All right! Here it goes!" Boruto got into stance. " 8 Trigrams 32 palms!" Boruto struck the post. " 2 palms!" He went back for another round " 4 palms!" He went for another round, " 8 palms! Gah!" Boruto yelled in pain.
"Boruto are you ok?" Hiashi quickly aided his grandson, he saw that one of his fingers was broken.
The Hyuuga children cracked up laughing. Boruto glanced at them angrily in embarrassment.
" Enough of that!" A Main branch member said. " This is a complex move to do and that is a common injury that happens."
" Sir…." Kinjo said raising his hand, " I'd like to go next."
" Very well Kinjo."
He walked up to the post as Hiashi and Boruto backed away.
" 8 Trigrams…" Kinjo started as he activated his Byakugan. He glanced at Boruto and smirked. " 32 Plams!"
" 2 Palms!" He said striking the post.
" 4 Palms!"
"8 Palms!"
" 16 Palms!"
It was then Kinjo stopped.
The Hyuuga children looked on in amazement
" I'm sorry, thats as far as I can get right now."
" Not bad Kinjo, not bad at all." Said the Main branch member.
" gh! show off…." Boruto muttered.
Hiashi looked at Boruto sympathetically. " Boruto…."
Later, Boruto was seen leaving the dojo, his training bag in his hand, his other hand bandaged from his earlier injury. " See ya later Jii-san."
He saw Kinjo sitting on the steps.
" Hmph" Boruto walked by down the steps and onto the courtyard.
" You don't belong here…." Kinjo said.
Boruto turned his head back. " Come again?"
" You heard me." Kinjo stood up.
" The only reason they tolerate you here is because you are Hiashi-sama's grandson. Otherwise you would be laughed out of here."
Boruto looked at Kinjo with a little anger in his eyes.
" You even wear that jacket that displays our clan's symbol, yet you don't even have the Byakugan, aren't you just a little ashamed?"
" kssh! Like I care what you think." Boruto said.
" I don't get it, you can be anything as a ninja. Why go into a form where you have such a clear as day disadvantage?"
" I don't have to explain myself to you. And for your information, my grandfather gave me this patch on my jacket." Boruto said.
" If you had any respect for your grandfather or this clan you would stop trying to be like us. Because no matter how hard you train, no matter how flawless your form becomes, the fact is you will never be one of us."
Boruto was silent. He simply turned and walked away.
Later, Hanabi was seen walking alongside Himawari and Hinata in town. They were headed to Yamanaka flower shop to pick up some flowers for Neji's grave.
A Hyuuga was seen shopping and saw Hanabi alongside her niece. He decided he would come say hello.
That was when he saw Hanabi stop and cradle her midsection, Hinata immediately came to aid her.
" Are you alright?" Hinata asked.
" Hanabi baa-chan are you ok?" Himawari pleaded.
" I'm fine honey." Hanabi ensured.
The Hyuuga stopped, he wondered what made her react that way. Upon activating his Byakugan, he discovered why.
Later…..
Hiashi was approached by a Hyuuga maid.
" Hiashi-sama. The council wishes to see you."
" Wonderful…" Hiashi said with some sarcasm."
Hiashi slid open a door and saw the council waiting for him.
" I was busy, I hope we can make this quick."
" Hiashi, when were you planning to tell us Hanabi was pregnant."
Hiashi was shocked.
" With twins no less." The elder said.
" Elder, I don't know…"
" Hiashi, last month you are offered a position on this council and you betray our trust?"
" This would make sense as to why Hanabi has not been here lately. She's been staying with her sister if I'm not mistaken."
Hiashi was silent.
" Tell Hanabi her presence is requested here. We want to talk to her."

0000000000000000000000
Later that night, Hanabi sat before the council. Hiashi was in the back with Naruto, Boruto and Himawari, Hinata had to use the rest room.
" Hanabi, when were you planning to tell us?" The Elder said.
" Hey Elder? Sorry but my wife kind of asked if you could wait 'til she got back before grilling Hanabi." Naruto said.
Meanwhile, Himawari climbed on her grandfather who proceeded to tickle her. Boruto not wanting to be left out joined in on the fun.
As the Elder was trying to speak he found Himawari's laughter overshadowing his voice.
" As I was saying…." The Elder tried to continue.
" I'm gonna get you…" Hiashi laughed as he tickled Himawari. Boruto climbed on his grandfather's back.
Boruto laughed as he wrapped his arms around Hiashi trying to wrestle him.
" Hiashi! Do you mind?"
" Not at all, you're not bothering me." Hiashi quipped.
"That's not what (sigh) any way Uzumaki-san, I don't know what you're doing here. This is a Hyuuga matter."
" Wrong, I got some nephews or nieces coming and that makes it my business." Naruto said.
" Nailed it Tou-chan!" Boruto declared.
Naruto gave Boruto a thumbs up.
" Uzumaki-san, if your children possessed our Kekki-Genkai and had a chance of succeeding our clan, perhaps we would consider your opinion but seeing how it is that is not the case…"
" Wow, hey at least you waited a whole 5 minutes before bringing that up for the millionth time." Naruto said. " And like I said the million times before that, so what?"
" Which also begs the question, what are they doing here? This is not a day care center?"
" Hey we aint babies!" Boruto yelled.
" Will you keep it down!" The elder said.
" You're mean!" Himawari said to the elder in huff.
" Hiashi! Will you keep you God Damn grandchildren under control!" The Elder yelled.
Suddenly a slam was heard from downstairs.
" WHO'S CURSING AT MY KIDS!?" Hinata yelled, which shook the house.
" Oh God…" Naruto said. He quickly turned to his father-in-law " Hiashi!"
" Already on it, come on kids…" Hiashi said in a haste, at this point he didn't want to be within 200 feet of the Elder. " Elder, nice knowing you."
Hanabi was quick to get up as well, she has seen this before and knew what was coming.
The council was shaken by the bark. But what Truly shook them was what happened next. The door to the room flew open and a dark radiating figure appeared in the doorway, her eyes glowing purple and her hair wild and flailing. This was Hinata Uzumaki in a rare form usually when it came to her family, her kids in particular.
The head Elder was particularly startled as a few beads of sweat came down the side of his face. he tried to regain control of the situation. " h-Hinata we are conducting business so I sugg-"
" You Suggest What!?" Hinata said.
The Elder was at a loss for words.
" I Do Not Like Foul Language! Especially Around My Kids! Much Less At Them!"
" Honey…" Naruto interjected.
Hinata looked back at him.
" Just wanna mention, he also brought up the whole no Byakugan thing again." Naruto said as sweetly as he could.
" Oh! Here We Go Again! My Kids Are Great Elder! Byakugan Or No! If You Have Something To Say About My Kids, Say It To Me!"
" I….I…I" The Elder was trying to string a sentence together. The Council shook at the sight of this mother of Uzumaki.
" Ka-chan I think you scared the jerk out of him Datte-bassa!." Boruto joked.
Hinata turned and clapped her hands together. " Were you 2 making noise while they were trying to talk?" Hinata said firmly.
" …hai…" Boruto and Himawari said in unison.
" What have I said about that?"
" Don't do it…." They said in unison.
Hinata pointed to a part of the wall. " Come over here and sit."
Nearly everyone in the room got up to follow Hinata's order, even some of the elders.
" Not you! The Kids!"
Boruto and Himawari ran over to the wall and sat. Hinata and Hanabi came to the same area and sat together. Hiashi and Naruto joined them.
The Elder took a deep breath to regain his composure. " Hanabi, I don't see why you kept this from us."
Hanabi took a deep breath. " I don't want the seal placed on one of my children."
" Hanabi, I know it's difficult, your grandfather also had a hard time accepting this with your father and uncle. But Hanabi, it is this seal that has allowed our clan to survive for as long as it has. We cannot simply choose who is to be sealed and who is not solely based on sentiment."
" But…." Hanabi's eyes dimmed. " What good has this seal really done? It has caused complete bitter resentment with in the Hyuuga."
" Hanabi, we have to maintain a level of control, otherwise we would be attacked and over run. Down the road we simply must place the seal on the second-born."
" You're not putting that on my cousin!" Boruto yelled.
Hinata looked at Boruto, her face showing she expects him to quiet down. Boruto saw this expression on her face. He crossed his arms and looked down to the side with a scowl.
" Please Elder, there must be another way." Hanabi pleaded.
" I'm sorry, but there is not."
" Neji nii-san…." Hinata began. " Lived half his short life in hatred because of this seal…..he came to resent the Main branch, you saw this, yet you continue to do it no matter whose lives you destroy. You say it's to maintain order, but let's be honest….you do it this because you fear the branch families might rival or surpass you.
" Hinata that is ridiculous, we fear the cadet branches may attack us yes. But it's absurd to think they could surpass us. Neji was a different story."
"All deserve a right to choose their own destiny when brought into this world. Not have it forced on them." Hinata said.
" Hinata, the issue is closed."
" Like hell it is!" Naruto yelled.
" The issue is not closed Elder." Hiashi said.
" Hanabi, understand something. It is a heavy burden to be head of the Hyuuga, every head in past generations has had to make sacrifices, I'm sorry that you had to make this one." The Elder got up.
" We are not done here." Hinata said.
" Hinata, you were originally supposed to be the head of this clan. I tried to help you reclaim that right, but you refused. You are partially responsible for Hanabi's burden." The Elders took their leave.
Hinata was in a state of surprise.
" Hey ! What did you say to my wife!?" Naruto stood up.
" Naruto-kun, let it go." Hinata said.
Later….
Hinata was walking with her family.
" Hinata…." Hiashi said. " The Elder had no right saying that."
" I….I understand." Hinata said.
Himawari seeing her mother upset grabbed her hand.
The Next Day…..
The elders were sitting on the porch of the courtyard.
" Well that escalated rather quickly."
" Yes I thought you were going to cry when Hinata yelled at you." One of the elders teased.
The head Elder crossed his arms and closed his eyes in annoyance." I didn't see you standing up to her last night."
" This isn't the end is it?"
" No, it isn't…..curse those Uzumakis. I'm growing tired of them constantly sticking their noses into our affairs. It's bad enough they have their loser son hanging around here all the time trying to play Hyuuga."
" Well you have to admit. He's come quite far despite not having the Byakugan."
" Spare me….." The Elder said as he watched Kinjo practicing with a Main branch member.
" He can train all he wants, but the second he faces a Byakugan user he would fall . Spirit only gets you so far. Yet Hiashi continues to train him. Making him think he could actually be one of us."
" It can't be helped I'm afraid. Hiashi won't budge on it."
The Elder continued watching Kinjo.
" Kinjo now…..he's quite amazing. A true beacon of a promising Hyuuga future."
The Elder watched Kinjo for a while. He turned to the other Elders " I might have an idea."
Boruto and Hiashi were sparring in the dojo when the door slid open.
" Hiashi. I thought i might find you here. Am i interrupting?"
" Boruto and I were just sparring."
" I beat 'Jii-san like 4 rounds already."
" Hm, well maybe I should stop letting you win." Hiashi smiled.
" You stopped letting me win after 2 rounds." Boruto quipped.
" n-Nani?" Hiashi laughed.
" Hiashi, I would like a moment of your time." the Elder said.
" Hm, Boruto I think now is a good time to call it a day." Hiashi said.
" Ok 'Jii-san!" Boruto ran over to pack his stuff.
As Boruto packed his things he saw the Elder and Hiashi conversing.
" Are you out of your mind!?" Hiashi said a few moments later.
Boruto stood there, not sure what was going on.
" Naruto already knows that the Uzumaki created the cage bird seal, he will find a way to undo it! We don't need this ridiculous proposal!" Hiashi said.
"But who knows how long that will take." The Elder retorted.
" 'Jii-san?" Boruto said as he walked up beside him. " What's going on?"
" Nothing Boruto, let's go I'm taking you home."
" Discuss it with the boy's parents. He wants to be a Hyuuga so bad, let him act like one." The Elder said as Hiashi and Boruto left.
" 'Jii-san, what's he talking about?"
" Nothing Boruto."
Later...
" He what?" Hinata said. " Boruto is only 6!"
" The boy they want him to fight is only 7."
" Absolutely not." Hinata said.
Boruto was upstairs listening in.
" Go back and tell the Elder if he would like a match between myself and him, I'll gladly accept."
" You know he won't adhere to that."
" So if Boruto were to fight this kid, and win, they would agree not to seal either twin?"
" Naruto-kun why are you even entertaining this?" Hinata asked.
"Hiashi…." Naruto began. " This kid the elders picked. Is he good?"
" Naruto, I won't lie. He's the best in his generation amongst the Hyuuga."
" Can Boruto beat him?" Naruto asked.
Hiashi was silent for a moment. " Boruto has surpassed the expectations of everyone who doubted his ability in our style, he does not have the Byakugan, but that never stopped him from trying. But Kinjo Hyuuga is also very skilled, the Byakugan I'm sad to say does work in his favor, I don't know if Boruto can defeat him."
Boruto's eyes widened when he heard his grandfather's words. His eyes gleamed as though he were about to cry as a scowl came across his face. his fist tightened.
" The answer is no." Hinata said.
Boruto sneered, he walked into his room looking out the window. He let out an angry sigh.
(((Flashback)))
4 year old Boruto is learning palm strikes with his grandfather while wearing Hyuuga training attire. He looks around to see other Hyuuga children around his own age training. He sees Byakugan eyes around him everywhere. Some of the other children shoot him smirks of superiority.
Later Boruto sees some of them sitting on the porch in the courtyard eating lunch. He quickly runs over and sits next to them.
" Hi!" Boruto says as enthusiastic as always, he did take primarily after his father after all.
The Hyuuga children look at him with complete indifference. Not even offering a courteous hello back. Boruto just simply ate his rice paddy beside them. One of the Hyuuga children let out an annoyed sigh. The Hyuuga then walked off the porch to train some more, leaving Boruto behind.
Later, Boruto walked through the hallways of the Hyuuga house hold trying to find his grandfather.
As he did, he passed along many members of the Hyuuga house hold.
" Hey do you know where 'Jii-san is?" Boruto asked a Hyuuga.
The Hyuuga shot him an irritated look and continued walking.
Boruto didn't understand why.
(((End Flashback)))
Later, Boruto was eating dinner with his family. Hiashi and Hanabi were over as well. Hinata looked over and saw the look on her son's face as he looked down at the table. Her son had been quite uncharacteristically quiet all day today.
" Honey?" Hinata asked. " Are you ok?"
Hiashi who was sitting next to Boruto looked at him with concern.
Boruto's fist tightened. " 'Jii-san…." he said as he looked Hiashi dead in the eye." When you go back tonight….tell them I accept."

Naruto stood atop his household with his back against a wall and his arms crossed looking at his son. Boruto sat across from him staring at the ground.
" What is this about?" Naruto asked.
" Nothing, I just wanna do this ok?" Boruto said. " Why ya making such a big deal about this?"
" Boruto! You could get hurt!" Naruto said.
" I know Juu-ken to!" Boruto said.
" And you're really good at it. But this kid has the Byakugan, and when it comes to Juu-ken, that's a big advantage."
" I know where all the organs are. I know if I hit that area it will get hurt. I don't need x-ray vision for that."
" Son, you know fully that the Byakugan is nowhere near that simple."
" Point is, I don't need it to fight." Boruto said.
" Boruto, what is this really about?"
" I also wanna make sure none of Hanabi baa-chan's babies gets sealed."
" Boruto, I can figure out a way to destroy that seal. I have to just find out which ancestor created it and see where it goes from there."
" Tou-chan that might take forever, and you may not find it."
" Do you understand that this kid is not gonna go easy on you? He's fighting to win."
" So am I!" Boruto yelled.
Naruto sighed.
" I just have to do this Tou-chan."
" Why do you think you have to do this?"
" Because they said I don't belong there!" Boruto yelled.
Naruto was shocked.
" The whole reason I even started Juu-ken was because someone told me I'd never be able to do it. But no matter how good I get all anyone talks about is how I don't have the Byakugan. That's all they ever talk about. I'm gonna show them that I don't need to Byakugan to be a great fighter. I'm gonna show them that I do belong there."
" Boruto…." Naruto began.
" Tou-chan, I don't just want to prove it to them….." Boruto said.
Naruto looked at his son. The day Boruto was born, Naruto swore that things would be different for his son than they were for him. But now after only 6 years here was his son, struggling for acceptance. Even willing to go this far to gain it. Naruto's eyes dimmed as he looked at his son sympathetically.
Later….
Naruto walked into the room where Hinata, Hanabi and Hiashi were waiting for him.
Naruto came and sat down. He looked downward. " Let's let him do this." He said.
The 3 Hyuuga were shocked.
" I thought you were going to talk him out of it." Hinata said.
Naruto breathed deeply. " Boruto has something to prove. I can't deny him this."
" Naruto, this is not like a Chuunin exam match. In Hyuuga matches genjutsu, ninjutsu and weapons are prohibited. It is strictly hand to hand combat." Hiashi said.
" He knows that." Naruto said.
" Naruto-kun, he could get hurt." Hinata said.
" He knows that to." Naruto said.
" Naruto-kun , we can't let him do this. He has nothing to prove. Shame on the council for even thinking about this match." Hinata said.
" To put the freedom of his cousin on the shoulders of a 6 year old boy, Naruto that's just too much to put on him. He does not need to do this for me. We can find a different way." Hanabi said.
" You all didn't see the look in his eyes." Naruto said. He looked to Hinata. " He had the eyes you and I once had."
Hinata was shocked.
" Growing up….being left out or outcasted. I swore that when I had children they would never feel this…but here it is." Naruto said. " Hiashi…you have been training Boruto for almost 2 years now. Do you feel Boruto may have a shot at winning?"
" (sigh) he's too damn stubborn to admit defeat. Takes after his father." Hiashi said.
Naruto looked to Hinata. " Honey, Boruto wants this. We have to face facts that he's not a baby anymore. He's trying to make his way in this world now."
Hinata crossed her arms and looked to her side. Her eyes quivered. She would never admit that, she couldn't face the idea of Boruto facing a Hyuuga in battle, no matter what age.
" He wants to prove something to himself."
" And what if he loses?" Hinata asked.
" If he loses, he loses. That's not the end of the world for him. He'll learn from a failure, that's never a bad thing." Naruto said. " We'll be there to help get him through it."
Hinata clearly showed she was getting emotional as she slowly nodded her head.
" Hinata, if you don't want to let him, we won't. But Boruto is going to have to grow up some time."
Hinata said. " You want me to just say ok son go fight a Hyuuga who might seriously hurt you? I'm his mother…."
That was when they saw Boruto standing in the doorway.
" Honey…" Hinata said.
Boruto walked up to his mother. " Ka-chan…let me do this."
Hinata's eyes quivered. She put her hands on her son's shoulders " …..ok…." she said.
Boruto put his hand atop his mother's as he smiled at her.
" Jii-san, how long do I have?" Boruto asked.
" 2 weeks." Hiashi said.
" Let's train now." Boruto said.
" Hai." Hiashi said.
Moments later Boruto and Hiashi are seen in the back patio training.
Later...
Hinata sat up in bed as Naruto sat beside her. She lowered her eyes, thinking very hard about the path Boruto is taking. As his mother she knew what she had to do next.
The next morning, Hiashi was training Boruto hard. Sweat dripped off the young Uzumaki's face as he was being pushed to a new level in his training. That was when the dojo door slid open.
Hiashi and Boruto looked to the side to see that Hinata had arrived, donning Hyuuga training gear.
" Ka-chan." Boruto said.
" I will be helping you train. If that's ok with you Oto-sama." Hinata said.
" Of course." Hiashi said.
" Hinata-sama." Hinata looked over to see Ko sitting to the side. The years passed didn't seem to take too harsh a toll on him. His hair however was much shorter. " Good afternoon."
" Konichiwa Ko." Hinata said
" I am just going to observe you for now . " Hinata said to her father.
Hiashi nodded.
Hinata went and sat next to Ko. They then watched Boruto train with Hiashi.
" Hinata-sama, I have never seen anyone who trains quite as hard as your son. You must be very proud." Ko said.
" More than you realize Ko." Hinata said.
" Boruto is so determined." Ko added.
Hinata continued watching. Suddenly she began picking up the weaknesses in Boruto's technique after 5 minutes.
" Oto-sama." Hinata said. " I would like to switch with you."
" Very well. I could use a break anyway." Hiashi said.
Hinata walked onto the floor facing Boruto to whom this was a little awkward since he had not really trained with his mother before. Hinata took up her stance and Boruto took up his.
10 minutes later….
Sweat was dripping off Boruto's face profusely. He took a knee as he looked up at his mother, breathing heavily. Hinata's arms were covered with scuff marks. She looked at her son, this had been the first time she had actually pushed him to such a limit in training.
Hinata's eyes quivered looking at her son. As a mother it was only instinct to want to protect your child. But her child insisted on facing the challenges of the world. So her next option was that if she could not shelter him from the world, she could prepare him for it.
Hinata's eyes became firm once more." Stand up Boruto." Hinata said.
Boruto looked up at his mother. A smile came across his face. He stood up.
" Ok….now that we got a few practice rounds out of the way, how about we train for real?" Boruto declared.
Hinata nodded. " Of course."
Ko and Hiashi smiled.
Later….
Hinata was walking home with her son. " We'll have to do it like this every training session Boruto."
" What are you talking about? This was light for me. We gotta get more serious." Boruto said, putting up his tough facade.
Hinata smiled. " You really are your father's son." she thought.
Suddenly she saw Boruto sitting on a park bench. He was fast asleep. Hinata smiled as she shook her head. She hoisted her son up on her back and carried him home.
The Next Day…...
Boruto was walking home from the Hyuuga compound. His training bag in tow. He kept his other hand in his pocket. He looked out across the streets of Konohagakure. As he walked by, there were 3 Hyuuga children eating at a dango shop.
One saw Boruto and notified the other 2. They followed him. As they walked away, ChouChou Akimichi was also enjoying a dango that day. She saw the 3 boys follow after Uzumaki. she in turn followed after them.
She almost lost track until she heard. " You're really gonna fight Kinjo? Baka! Stupid Baka! Who do you think you're fooling?
ChouChou walked up and peaked through a hole in the fence. She saw the 3 Hyuuga boys confronting Boruto.
" You don't even deserve to train with us, and you think you can take down our top guy? Baka!" One of the Hyuuga boys said.
" So is that your word for me today?" Boruto said annoyed.
" That's our word for you everyday!"
ChouChou was getting nervous. She was afraid a 3 on one fight was going to break out.
" Look whatever, I got stuff to do. So if you're done wasting my time…." Boruto walked past the Hyuuga boys.
" If this Baka continues to keep training with us, soon his Baka sister will want to try to." One of the Hyuugas said.
Boruto stopped dead in his tracks. He turned around staring at the hyuuga like the grim reaper.
" I dare you to say that again…." Boruto said, losing control of himself. He dropped his bag.
" You think we're afraid of you?" All 3 Hyuugas activated their Byakugan.
Boruto got into stance.
One of the Hyuuga jumped in with a kick but Boruto quickly parried it. A palm strike, the Hyuuga boy was caught by surprise and had no defense for the attack coming at such a speed. Boruto however, stopped his strike at the last second when he remembered one of the conditions of the match.
(((Flashback)))
"One of the conditions is, you will not attack Kinjo, or any Hyuuga for that matter until the day of the match. If you break this condition, the deal is off." The Hyuuga Elder said.
Boruto retracted his hand. He looked the Hyuuga square in the eye. " Never talk about my sister again." Boruto picked up his bag leaving the Hyuuga boy frightened and relieved that he did not catch a palm strike to the face. The other 2 Hyuuga boys after seeing their friend almost get pummeled were in no mood to attack Uzumaki.
" Man, Boruto's fast…" ChouChou said.
" pretty fast…" Kinjo said.
ChouChou was stunned to see Kinjo was observing the entire incident with his Byakugan through the fence.
Kinjo walked away, his hands in his pockets. " Boruto Uzumaki, come that day I will break you."

Boruto stood at a striking post in the genin training grounds. His focus unwavering.
" I saw you there other day..." said a voice from behind him.
" Boruto turned to see Kinjo Hyuuga standing there. " ...With those 3 clansmen."
Boruto shot him a glare then went back to striking the post. " What about it? They attacked me first, i didn't even hit them."
Kinjo walked to the side of the post Boruto was striking. " You are so selfish."
Boruto stopped immediately and looked at Kinjo. " What the hell are you talking about? You trying to start a fight!? Can't you wait a week?"
" I'll explain." Kinjo said. " When Hanabi-sama's children are born, they're going to have the Byakugan."
" No kidding!" Boruto said.
" And since their father died on a mission, it's going to fall on Hiashi-sama to train with them."
" So you're saying I don't wanna share Jii-san with my cousins? That's crap! I share him with my sister all the time!" Boruto argued.
" You're missing the point." Kinjo said.
Boruto looked at him his eyes wincing.
" When Hiashi-sama starts training with them, they're going to start performing techniques that you need the Byakugan for." Kinjo said.
" I am sick and tired of hearing about..." Boruto began.
" Can you do the Heavenly Whirl without the Byakugan?" Kinjo said.
Boruto was caught off guard, he had no response.
" What about The 64 palms of divinity?" Kinjo said.
Boruto stood there.
" you can estimate where a person's vital organs are. But striking the Tenketsu requires absolute precision. Without the Byakugan, it's useless."
Boruto said nothing, he stood there having taken in all of Kinjo's statement.
" He's going to have the opportunity to have real grandchildren, and you're taking that away from him." Kinjo said.
" How am I..."
" Hiashi-sama will want to teach them techniques, techniques you won't be able to do. But he probably won't because he won't want to make you feel bad."
Kinjo walked away. " Thanks a lot for holding back our clan...selfish..."
Boruto stood there, he brought his hands up to the post as he looked down. He had never once thought of that.
Later...
Boruto is seen sparring with Hiashi. Hiashi knew something was wrong.
" Your chakra's all over the place." Hiashi said.
Boruto didn't respond. He threw a leg kick to which Hiashi dodged and backed away.
" What's troubling you?" Hiashi asked.
" Nothing, let's keep going." Boruto said.
" We are not moving another step until you tell me what is wrong." Hiashi said.
" Fine! Then I'm going home!" Boruto walked over to get his training bag.
He turned around to see Hiashi stand before him.
" Boruto, why will you not talk to me?" Hiashi asked.
" Just..." Boruto was getting emotional.
" Just what? Talk to me." Hiashi said.
" Just maybe everyone's right ok!?" Boruto yelled.
Hiashi was shocked. " Right? About what?"
" Maybe I don't belong here!" He said.
Hiashi looked at his grandson in disbelief. " Boruto, what happened? Who has been talking to you? Tell me who told you this!"
" Nobody!" Boruto said. " When my cousins are born, they're gonna have the Byakugan. And you're gonna want to train them."
" And you think I'll forget about you."
" No! That's the point!" Boruto yelled.
Hiashi was shocked.
" You're gonna limit your training with them, just so I won't feel left out!" Boruto looked to the side scowling. " ...I don't wanna slow you down." he muttered.
Hiashi was dumbfounded by this.
Boruto angled his eyes at his grandfather then back to the side. "(sigh) I know you love me. And I love being here with you. But I want you to make my cousins as strong as you possibly can. I...would just be a burden."
Hiashi was speechless.
" No matter how strong I get, no matter how many jutsu I learn, I don't have the Byakugan and without that I can't learn the best techniques you can teach."
" Boruto I..." Hiashi tried to bring a sentence together.
Boruto faced his grandfather. " Happy? Can I go now?" Boruto then walked around his grandfather out of the dojo. " Next week I'm gonna drop this clown and make sure my cousins don't get sealed. After that, focus on them when they're born so they can become strong."
Hiashi turned and watched his grandson go out the door, still distraught by what he said.
Later...
Hiashi was sitting on the porch as the sun began setting.
(((Flashback)))
Hiashi waits in the waiting room of Konohagakure hospital along with Hanabi, Natsu and Ko, Naruto walked out, a smile on his face bigger than the moon.
" It's a boy!" He said.
" Congratulations!" Hiashi placed his hands on Naruto's shoulders.
" Now...he doesn't have the Byakugan."
" Hiashi didn't expect that comment. He was surprised for a second. The smile came back on his face. " That's fine, can we see him?"
" Sure!" Naruto smiled.
Later, The Hyuugas observe alongside Naruto through the glass his son.
" Which one is he?" Hanabi asked eagerly awaiting to see her new nephew.
Her question was answered right away by the sounds of powerful cries coming from the baby in the far left. Seeing 2 whisker marks on each side of his face , the tiny strands of blonde hair and the strong spirit it was no doubt whose son it was.
" Naruto, he looks just like you!" Hiashi stated proudly.
Naruto smiled with joy.
Hiashi smiled as he gazed upon his grandson. Words could not express the pride he felt.
4 Years Later...
4 year Old Boruto Uzumaki ran down the hall of the Hyuuga compound. He looked through the opening of a door to see Hyuugas practicing Juu-ken.
" Wow..." Boruto said.
" What do you think you're doing?" An older Hyuuga boy said from behind him.
Boruto turned around. " I was just watching..."
" It's not for you to watch, it's not like you can do it." The Hyuuga said.
" I can to!" Boruto yelled back.
" You don't have the Byakugan. You'll never be able to do it." He said.
It was at this point all the Hyuuga who were practicing stopped as they heard the commotion going on.
" Boruto..." Hiashi said walking up from the hallway. " There you are, you shouldn't run off like that." He looked to the Hyuuga boy standing by him.
" Can I help you young man?" Hiashi stated.
" I caught him spying on our Kata Hiashi-sama." The boy said respectfully.
" I wasn't spying!" Boruto said.
" You can't do it. It's pointless to watch." said the boy.
" Yes I can!" Boruto yelled.
Hiashi was stunned.
" You may leave now..." Hiashi said to the boy. " I will talk to my grandson."
The Hyuuga boy took his leave.
Hiashi saw the Hyuuga in the dojo staring at Boruto, some quite venomously. " Don't you all have training to do?" Hiashi said.
The Hyuuga continued their training. Hiashi smiled at his grandson and extended his hand. Boruto took it and walked alongside his grandfather.
" Boruto, do you like what you saw in there?"
Boruto took a deep breath and shook his head yes.
" You know... all the people in there using that form. They have the Byakugan, which means they can see all the parts inside the body. Do you know what I mean by that?'
Boruto pointed to parts on his body. " Heart, liver , kidneys, stomach..."

tobio kageyama x gn! reader
prompt: "is there a reason you're blushing like that?"
info: beach day with the team, no warnings, short + sweet, idk the idea just came to me and I wrote it really fast bc he's so cute and ilh <3
words: 700
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't very often that you managed to convince your boyfriend to go to the beach with you. Not that you could blame him, most of his days off he was too tired to do anything more than cuddle and watch movies with you. Usually falling asleep with his head buried in the crook of your neck before you were even 15 minutes in. So this morning when you had half heartedly asked Tobio if he wanted to go to the beach with you, you had been surprised when he had agreed. You had told him to be ready within the hour, and so you had subsequently spent almost 50 minutes running around and gathering everything you would need for the day. Somehow you also managed to text some of the other Karasuno members to let them know about your plans, and to see if they wanted to join the two of you.
When you first arrived you silently thanked whatever higher power had ensured the beach to be near empty. You'd been worried that your large-ish and fairly loud group would be a nuisance to those around you. But you needn't have worried. You had been the first to arrive, along with Kageyama. The others trickling in throughout the next hour or so, until eventually everyone had arrived. Once everyone had settled, having placed down their towels and slathering themselves in sunscreen (upon your request). Hinata had yelled out, announcing that everyone had to go swim in the sea immediately. Which about half of the team had taken as an invitation to race as fast as they could down the beach. You had been slightly slower than the rest, apparently missing the memo that it was a race. You sat up now, watching as they almost tripped over their own feet, chuckling as Nishinoya shouted “rolling thunder” as he toppled over, head first.
“Are you coming?” Kageyama asked. You glanced up at him, his hand was extended out to you and you gladly took it. Pulling yourself up towards him.
“Hang on, one sec.” You reply, letting go of Kageyama’s hand. You slipped off your cover up, placing it on your towel, leaving you in just your swimsuit.
Turning back towards your boyfriend, you grinned when you noticed the light tint of red on his cheeks. He was nervously fiddling with his hands, as if trying to distract himself from looking at you. You raised your eyebrows, deciding to tease him. Just a little bit.
“Is there a reason you’re blushing like that?” You ask, moving to stand in front of him, ensuring that his eyes were on you.
“Wh- what? I'm not, shut up.” Kageyama stuttered. Turning away from you again, and fixing his gaze on the sea instead.
“Oh really?” You smile, moving once again to stand in front of him. “You're allowed to look at me, you know.”
“Pft. Yeah I know.” Kageyama huffed, his gaze flickering between your face and just behind your shoulder.
“O-kaay.” You drag out the last syllable. “Look at me then.”
Using one of your hands you gently cup the side of his face, rubbing your thumb across his cheek. He blinks, before slowly turning his face towards yours, finally looking you in the eye. You grin, noticing that his blush had deepened.
“C’mon.” You release his face, grabbing his hand instead. You drag him along behind you, half jogging and half skipping towards the sea. He almost loses his footing at your speed, stumbling over his own feet, only managing to stay up right because of your tight grip on his hand.
You can't help but let out a small chuckle, stopping to watch as Kageyama rights himself, your hand slipping out of his grasp as you do so. He glares at you, albeit with no malice in his eyes, as you grin widely at him.
“You okay baby?” You tease him, the smile on your face growing even wider. You reach towards Kageyama, squeezing his hand, watching him as he rolls his eyes at you.
“Yes, I'm fine.” He pauses. “Thank you for saving me.”
“You're very welcome. Now c’mon, clumsy.”

regrets ➵ p. jihoon
pairing : treasure jihoon x gn!reader
genre : angst
words : 700+
warnings : mentions of breaking up, light cursing
a/n : i found this in my drafts,, it's not proofread but i figured i’d post it. this could potentially get deleted so yeah </3
inspired by i swear i’ll never leave again by keshi
when jihoon chose to be an idol, he knew he’d be leaving a lot of things behind. his family, his friends, his home, and even part of his childhood. he had thought it over many times before, and he had come to terms with it.
now, as a debuted idol, jihoon has been faced with losing one of the most important things in his life.
you.
you had met jihoon in the fall of 2020, a month after he had debuted with his group, treasure. of course, at the time, you didn’t know he was an idol.
it was a whirlwind romance, as you were just in the area visiting your best friend, when a nice boy had decided to show you around.
“hey,” you called to the group of three boys walking by.
as they turned to look at you, you took a few notes. they looked familiar, but you couldn’t place your finger on where you’d seen them. one had teal hair, one had pink, and the last, taller boy, had black. you noticed that they hesitated talking to you, but the pink haired one spoke up.
“hello, uh, can we help you?” he raised an eyebrow, keeping his distance from you as if expecting some sort of reaction.
“could you?” you sounded a little desperate, “i’m not from around here, and i’m a little lost.. i’m supposed to be meeting my friend somewhere.. myeongdong street? i know it’s a popular area but i’ve never been to seoul until today..”
“myeongdong street? that’s not that far from here.. in fact i could just show you the way.” the pink haired boy offered, and you nodded your head in thanks.
“yes, please.. thank you.”
he told his friends, whom he had referred to as ‘hyunsuk’ and ‘haruto’, that he’d meet up with them later. despite their hesitance, he made his way back to you and began to lead the way.
“in case i forgot to mention it, i’m jihoon.”
“y/n.”
“pretty name, y/n. now let’s get you to your friend, yeah?”
he remembered that day like it was yesterday. to him, it was fate that your friend had fallen sick at the last minute and couldn’t make it, and that he was able to spend the day with you. he had never been so open with a person, let alone a stranger, in his entire life. and yet, that night, he told you everything. about how he was an idol, about his family, about the strict rules he needed to follow. about the rules that he’d broken for you that day.
the same that he would continue to break again and again. but he didn’t care as long as he was doing it for you.
everything he did was for you, including breaking your heart just five months later.
“what the fuck do you mean we can’t be together anymore, jihoon? you told me you’d figure everything out! that things would all be okay!” you were angry, and so was jihoon upon the release of dispatch’s latest article.
the article about your relationship.
TREASURE’S PARK JIHOON SPOTTED WITH SIGNIFICANT OTHER?
“y/n, you don’t understand how bad this is going to get for us! you have no idea what’s going to come our way if we stay together!” he used to never raise his voice at you, but this time he couldn’t help it.
“you don’t care about me! you’re only thinking about yourself! and your career! you knew how hard this was going to be when you asked me out! why does it matter now? did you ever love me? or was this fun for you?”
jihoon took a deep breath, like he didn’t know what to say. and honestly, he didn’t. after everything, how could you ever think for a second that he didn’t love you?
“you think i would put my career on the line for someone i didn’t love more than anything?” his voice was soft now, which was admittedly scarier than his yelling, “i could lose everything now that everyone knows about us.. everything i worked for could be gone. don’t you see why this is so hard for me? and then there’s you.. now that people know about us, you’re never going to have a moment to rest. people are going to ruin your life. they’ll find you, your family, anyone you love, and try to hurt them.. they are going to make this hell for you..”
“i get what you’re saying but-”
“if you understand, then you’d let me let you go, y/n.”
that was the last night he’d ever see you. the night he would regret for the rest of his life.

"Fine line" part I
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peter Parker x SHIELD Agent! Reader x Harry Osborn
Teen and Up
Warnings: Canon typical violence
Part of the "Fine Line" series. Welcome to the endgame.
SERIES MASTERLIST | MY MASTERLIST
He had never seen you fight before. It was stupid of him, and potentially dangerous, to stop and think about something like that in the middle of a freaking battle, but he just couldn't help it. You were graceful, deadly. You and Kate Bishop moving together like a well oiled machine. Strike team Delta, Fury's pride. A blur of perfectly shot arrows and high kicks.
But not even you were enough to stop the giant monstrosity in its path of destruction, not even him was. And it had hostages now.
"Six!"
"I know K, I'm seeing it!"
"I'm on it guys!" Peter called back as he swung by you like a red and blue meteor, following the greenish abomination currently climbing up the side of a skyscraper, carrying a sports car on his free hand as effortlessly as if it was a toy.
"One little question though" He switched to coms, "What the hell is that thing??"
"That thing" You explained, "is Norman Osborn…"
Peter's hand slipped, sending him flying face first into the building wall,
"Say what?!"
"We'll fill you up later, Spidey" Kate quipped, "For now, would you mind giving us a hand before King-kong over there kills anyone? I don't trust his butter fingers not to drop that Audi"
"Yes, ma'am" You could hear Peter's smile in his voice, "S.H.I.E.L.D girls are so bossy"
"Well, we are your superiors..." You noted, finally arriving at the entrance of the building when he was already halfway to the top.
"Ugh, I hate it when you pull rank on me" He groaned, swerving to dodge the shards of broken glass raining upon him.
You snorted,
"No you don't"
"No, I don't" He admitted, "Kinda turns me on"
"Ew! Guys, I can hear you" Kate catched up to you, shooting an arrow hooked to a line around her belt. Peter wasn't surprised to see it hit its mark flawlessly on a ledge above his head, "Hi, hot stuff, need a ride?"
You rolled your eyes, but wrapped your arms around her shoulders nonetheless, holding on tight.
"Hey!" Peter protested, mid swing, "No flirting with my girl!"
"I saw her first!" Kate released the latch, and soon you both were ascending at breakneck speed, easily surpassing Peter, "Race you to the top, Spidey!"
His laughter resonated through the coms, as he sped up to follow you, guns blazing into the battle.
There was no laughter anymore. The friendly banter and quick comebacks had died long ago, the second you had realized it was a trap. The goblin creature was far more intelligent than you were led to believe, having set the ploy from the very beginning, his seemingly driftless rampage through the city, not so random after all.
And far more psychotic, as you had learnt when he tore open the car in his hands to reveal the terrified blond man inside.
"HARRY!"
Peter's horrified scream matched your own.
"Well well well, it seems you awake quite the loyalty" a massive hand closed around Harry's torso, his indigo orbs finding yours across the rooftop "for such a pathetic little worm"
"Let him go, Goblin" Kate's tone was placating, almost gentle, "you don't know what you're doing…"
The creature laughed,
"That's what you think? What your imbecilic little investigation concluded?" Kate and you exchanged a look. Of course. Your investigation about the Green Goblin and other Oscorp shady experiments relied heavily on Norman Osborn personal files. The thought of the passionate scientist, who valued his work more than his own son, lying in his own research had never even crossed your minds. He had played you like a fiddle, misled you every step of the way, and you had bought right into it.
"I worked with S.H.I.E.L.D longer than you had been alive, and Fury thinks he can sic you after me? Two little girls playing spy and my own creation??" Harry looked about ready to pass out as the Goblin waved him around, gesticulating with his hands as he spoke.
Through the corner of his eye, Peter caught a glimpse of Kate inching closer to the beast, and was only half interested when he inquired,
"What do you mean your creation?"
"Everything special about you," The Goblin's deformed visage twisted in what Peter assumed was supposed to be a smirk, "came from one of my labs!"
"That might be true, you might have involuntarily given me my powers, but you didn't make me Spider-man" Peter countered, "Mister Stark gave me the suit, and showed me what it meant to be a hero, and I loved him and admire him more than you will ever be able to understand, but he didn't make me Spider-man either.
I choose to be Spider-man, every day. I created myself, cause it isn't who we were made to be that makes us who we are. Our choices make us who we are! You might have the powers and appearance of a monster, but you don't have to be one!"
"If you really think that, you are even more stupid than I thought, Peter Parker"
"Pe-peter?" Harry gasped through the creatures crushing grasp around his torso. Peter hesitated for a second, before taking his mask off.
"Yeah, it's me, buddy" He admitted, watching his friend's eyes go wide, "It's going to be ok, Haz. We'll get you out of this, I promise…"
Famous last words. Peter should have known better by then than to jinx things like that. Because not two minutes later, he was seeing Kate's little ambush fail, the creature's tail whipping around with enough force to send her flying against a wall and knock her out, Peter's own kick just a little too slow to stop the Goblin from grabbing you in his free hand.
"Wings? It has fucking wings??" Peter cursed under his breath, scrambling to follow the monster as he flapped his enormous, membranous wings, soaring across the city. But the creature had no intention of going too far.
"You say our choices make us who we are, very well" The Goblin challenged him, hovering above 700 feet of empty air, and Peter's heart stopped. "Let's see what yours are. What is it going to be, your friend… or your lover?"
"Don't do it, Goblin!" He yelled, standing on a ledge, ready to pounce, when he saw it. Or rather, saw her, purple hair blowing in the wind, standing on the air, a little lower and further behind from the Goblin, one palm pointed down, creating some sort of sonic wave that kept her up. She signaled a series of orders with her free hand, and Peter nodded almost imperceptibly, but enough for you to realize something was happening. You twisted in the Goblins grip to see what was going on at your back. Oh, fuck.
"Make your choice, Peter. Now!"
Norman Osborn let go of you and Harry at the same time, leaving you to watch your boyfriend dive for your ex. But you weren't falling, you were floating, cushioned by a column of vibrating air.
"Don't worry, rookie," You heard an annoyingly familiar voice say, "big sis is here…"
Great. You were never going to live this down, now.
Meanwhile, Peter had problems of his own, the momentum the Goblin had thrown his own son away making it difficult for him to catch Harry on time.
And even after he had the other man safe in his arms, he wouldn't stop squirming, fighting in his hold.
"Noooo! Go after her! Save her!!"
Peter managed to land the both of them in a terrace,
"She's ok! She's fine, see? She's got this! She's got this…" Peter finally released Harry, pointing up to the place where you still were hovering in the air with that other agent.
"She… she's… flying?"
"I think that is actually the other one's making…" Peter shrugged, scratching the back of his neck. Harry started pacing back and forth, obviously overwhelmed, trying to make sense of everything that had just happened.
"And you're Spider-man…" he turned to Peter, who nodded. "And that thing… what the fuck was that thing?"
Peter hesitated,
"Apparently, a crazy scientist" he finally decided on a half truth.
"A crazy… Mate, what even is your life?"
"Honestly? I've been asking myself that same question for years…"
Harry barked out a watery, hysterical laugh. He wanted to punch the shorter guy, he wanted to throw himself at his feet and thank him for saving his life. To apologize for all the drunken midnight calls, and also stab him in his boyishly handsome face for being so fucking noble and heroic and brave and impossibly perfect and for stealing his girl.
He clutched as his chest, the burn almost making him double over in pain, and he realized he was hyperventilating.
"Harry, Harry, look at me. Look at me! Do you feel my chest? Can you feel my chest under your hand?"
Harry noticed then that Peter was pressing his open palm, splayed against the spider logo on his own chest. He nodded his affirmation.
"Good, feel how it moves? Breath with me" Peter ordered, "inhale…"
Harry breathed in, in time with his friend's expanding chest.
"Now exhale"
Harry let go of his breath.
"That's right, you're doing so great" Peter's praise warmed up something inside his gut. "Inhale…" and Harry did, catching a faint whiff of your perfume. Peter smelled like you, the realization making him notice just how close to each other they were, only inches apart. And he wondered idly if that was the view you were used to, the one you favored over everything else: warm brown eyes, staring into your soul, right before leaning in. He wondered if you appreciated those hard, muscular shoulders under your hands, before pulling him close. He wondered if Peter's lips still tasted like you.
And before he knew it, Peter found himself with Harry's mouth crashing on his.
He knew he should stop it, step away, but he was rooted to the spot, caught off guard by the sudden onslaught of sensations. It was different from kissing a girl. Hard planes where he was used to soft curves. The tickle of scruff, and slightly chapped lips where he was used to your strawberry sweet lipstick. But as Harry's tongue licked his bottom lip, begging for entrance, Peter couldn't help but open up to him, to surrender to him, as his tongue conquered every inch of Peter's mouth, a greddy, hungry victor.
"I hate you so much" Harry breathed against Peter's mouth, even as his big hands came to frame the brunet's face, the metal of his finger rings cool against Peter's cheeks
"Doesn't feel like hate…" He quipped, before scraping his teeth against Harry's lips, tearing a moan out of him.
"No, it doesn't" the taller boy admitted, pushing one thigh between Peter's, gasping as he felt one of the hero's hands coming to rest against his lower back, pressing him closer.
"You taste like cigarettes" Peter marveled, for some reason finding the bittersweet taste delicious.
"And you taste like her" Harry replied, diving in again.
Peter froze. Her. You. His girlfriend.
"Harry… Harry stop" Peter muttered, between nibbles "we need to stop. This is wrong"
"Feels right" The heir protested, teeth latching onto Peter's lower lip to stop him from pulling away. Peter groaned, but managed to break the kiss anyway.
"It's not. We can't do this to her."
Harry sighed, resting his forehead against Peter's, still reluctant to let go completely,
"I know…" he admitted.
They stood like that for a few moments, willing breathings to calm, and hearts to slow down.
"You should go" Harry spoke finally, taking a step back, Peter immediately missing the warmth of his body in his arms. He wanted to say something, anything, to chase away the heartbreak, the loneliness in those pale blue eyes, but he couldn't. The knot in his own throat would not allow it.
So he just stepped away, slipping his mask on, and jumped. He caught a glimpse of Harry's teary, red face, sticking out from the balcony to watch him go, before shooting off a web and swinging away, back to the skyscraper where Kate had fallen. Because if he knew you at all, that was exactly where you were going to be, taking care of your best friend.
"...I'm telling you, I had everything under control!"
"Is that why you were hanging 700 feet in the air?" The purple haired girl argued, crossing her arms over her chest, "Admit it, rookie, you're lucky I arrived just in time to save your ass. Again."
You were fuming, face flushed and eyes bright, and Peter found himself struck yet again by how gorgeous you were. A pang of guilt stabbed his stomach.
"I didn't ask you too" You replied, petulantly, "and stop calling me 'rookie', I'm a level 9 agent."
"... I'm still higher than you"
"For one level!" You cried in frustration, "One single fucking level!"
"Would you two shut up?" Kate stumbled up, and Peter broke free from his haze to hurry and wrap a stabilizing arm around her shoulders, "You're giving me a headache"
"Yeah, that would be the concussion," purple quipped, "don't worry, Simmons should be here any minute to take a look at that"
"Yay, finally a sane person to talk to" Kate deadpanned. Purple ignored her.
"And you must be the boyfriend…" She singsonged, nudging you with her shoulder, "He's cute under the mask, how did you managed to get him to go out with you?"
"Hey!" Peter and you exclaimed indignantly, in unison.
"I'm kidding, jeez!" She raised her hands in surrender. "Come on, won't you introduce us?"
You rolled your eyes, but complied anyway,
"Daisy, this is Peter Parker. Peter, this is Daisy Johnson, weirdo fancies herself my sister"
"Ooh, 'fancies'! You've spent way too much time with that brit boy, didn't you?"
"Daisy, I swear to god I will-"
"You need to tell her" Kate whispered, taking advantage of your distraction.
"Wh-what?"
She scoffed, Kate had never had much patience for anyone's bullshit.
"About what just happened with Harry. She will understand, Peter, I promise. But only if she hears it from you"
"H-how do you know?"
"I see better from afar" The archer smirked, before returning her attention to you and, apparently, your sister.
"Are they always like that?" Peter whispered, a little alarmed. Kate snorted,
"Just wait till you meet the rest of her old team…"
"Yeah, what do you say, boyfriend?" Daisy smirked, mischievous glimmer in her eyes so much like yours, "Ready to meet the family?"
Peter gulped, he really wasn't.

A/N: This is my first writing post on Tumblr!! I also have never written for Miraculous Ladybug before, so I know it's not as good as it can be but I hope that whoever reads this enjoys it. This drawing is not mine!! This drabble was simply inspired by it and the real artist is @mari-cherri

"All I'm saying is that Chat Noir is overrated!" Isaac yelled, putting his arms up in defense of the class's glares.
Isaac was a guy from the next classroom over. It was about 15 minutes before class started and he and a couple of other classes (excluding Adrien and Marinette because they were… well, Adrien and Marinette) were discussing which superhero they liked more for the second day in a row. Although, they now realized, it was just an excuse for Isaac to bash Chat Noir and unhealthily praise Ladybug.
The day before had been… interesting for Adrien and Marinette for the time they had been present. They had felt a bit uncomfortable about their classmates arguing about them but they mostly disliked it for their classmates talking about their partner (both romantically and superhero-wise) in front of them, even though they had no idea.
The reveal had been a complete and utter accident, but a very happy one at that. They had immediately accepted it and had begun dating shortly after. Despite having known each other for only a year and a half, and dating for just a month, they had complete trust in each other. Some might even say they loved each other.
Then there was the issue of keeping their relationship a secret.
Both Adrien and Marinette agreed that that was probably for the best since he had so many crazy fangirls and they weren't ready for that kind of exposure as Ladybug and Chat Noir.
But it was still incredibly hard.
Anyways, back to the point here.
"That is not true!" Ivan yelled at Isaac, who was still refusing to listen even after minutes of arguing.
"Yes it is! He has been turned against Ladybug on multiple occasions by Akumas," he counters back, putting his index finger up.
"He never seems to do anything useful but yell out puns and declare his undying love for Ladybug," another finger goes up.
"To be honest, the guy is so overrated! People only like him because he's hot and because spandex doesn't leave much to the imagination!" He puts up a third finger.
"And his fanclub is so annoying!" Before putting up a fourth and final finger.
Kim draws another big breath to argue in only to be cut off but Isaac staring to the school entrance behind the class (he had somehow ended up being the only only facing towards it in his stupid argument).
"Oh, looks like Marinette is in the Chat Noir fanclub!" He shouts loudly in disgust.
The whole patio turns to look towards the doors only to spot Marinette in a full Chat Noir set up with Adrien closely behind her in normal clothes and, strangely, blushing.
She was dressed in a shirt with a v-line the same shade as Chat Noir's with a black pencil skirt with the skirt tucked in. Accompanying her outfit was a black beach bag with a huge Chat Noir paw print in the same shade of green as the shirt. To top everything off, she had a cute Chat Noir necklace with some black sunglasses on her face and green accessories such as bracelets and rings. A cute headband with cat ears stood upon her hair which was tied up in a fashionable bun.
She stays quiet for a few seconds, in which she had slowly approached him, the students quickly parting way for her. She now stood in front of him, staying quiet for another few seconds before tilting her head down and looking up at him over her sunglasses.
She sighs and takes them off, fixing Isaac with a glare that made him and a few others flinch from the intensity.
"Bitch I founded the fanclub, show some damn respect." She says in such a powerful and proud voice that you would think she was admitting to having the world multiple times (which she actually did but they didn't know that).
She pretends to flip her hair, turning around to walk to the classroom with her sunglasses now back on her face.
She walks with grace and pride, Adrien following her closely behind with a face red enough to rival his Lady's suit.

IN A DIFFERENT WORLD, BUT WITH FRIENDS.
CHAPTER 1: IN A CERTAIN FOREST
 Inside a certain forest, two figures with strange clothings that looked like (Basic) outfits worn by characters in RPG games could be seen hiding behind a bush.
 “Hey Yimso, are you sure this is a good idea?” The one wearing a mage robe whispered to the one wearing chainmail armour. “Huh? Oh, of course I’m sure.” Yimso gave a wide grin as he drew out his sword. “We just need to wait for ‘it’ to let its guard down for a single moment.”
 “Aight then…. .” The mage gave a sigh and said while still feeling nervous and turned his gaze away. The one besides him was a tank so he could take quite a lot of punishment but he was a mage; a class that was known to be weak in close combat. They much were better suited studying and researching magic behind closed doors or giving support from behind so his nervousness was justified. Of course, there were exceptions, but they could never compare to other classes when it came to endurance. Especially the one beside him; he was a tank.
 “….” After comforting the mage, Yimso turned away and looked over the bush where around 20 meters away, a 3 meter long and 1.6 meter tall black wolf was eating a brown rabbit.
 The rabbit being eaten by the wolf was not really any different that one you normally see on earth, except that this one was around 60 centimetres tall and had an over 20 centimeter long horn on its head. The horn must be the rabbit’s weapon, and a pretty good one at that at it seems to have put up a fight against the wolf, seeing that a small red puddle of blood had formed, trickling down from a wound on the wolf’s belly.
 There were also carcasses of other horned rabbits close by. They were probably hunted by the wolf too.
 After a while, the wolf had had its fill and seemed to have fallen asleep.
 Whoosh
 Right then, an arrow flew out from a tree top and hit the wolf. The arrow couldn’t penetrate the wolf’s hide though; falling to the ground after it hit its body. Fortunately the arrow was never meant to penetrate through the wolf’s hide but carry a vial which broke after hitting the wolf.
 The foul smelling liquid contained in the vial instantly drenched a part of the wolf’s face, startling it awake.
 “Tito, now!” Yimso roared as he rushed towards the wolf with a shield a sword in each hand from behind the bush. Right then, the man in the red robe pushed his opened hand forward and a ball of fire the size of a human head shot towards the wolf’s head.
 “ROAR”
 The wolf roared in anger towards the bush they were hiding in. Unfortunately for the wolf, the fireball had shot right into the open maws of the beast and set the wolf’s head on fire. Moreover, the flames, upon coming in contact with the foul smelling liquid had created a small explosion and caused the flames to burn even more brilliantly.
 “ROAR” The wolf bellowed in pain and anger.
Just then, Yimso, who had reached the wolf narrowly dodged a blind claw strike from the wolf and bashed its head with the shield and quickly moved backed after giving it a kick in the face.
 Slash
 Right after, a lean man wearing light leather armour and wielding two short swords rushed out from behind him and towards the wolf. He also had a short bow on his back, likely to be the one that shot the arrow earlier. He had made his way towards the wolf and slashed it with his swords, leaving 2 long gashes on the side of the wolf after which he quickly jumped into the bushes.
 The wolf cried out again and wanted to attack the creature that had wounded him. But taking advantage of the moment the wolf looked away, Yimso brought his broadsword down on the wolf’s neck.
 BAM
 The sword hit the wolf’s neck, making it kneel and tearing the skin but failed to cut through the firm neck muscles. The wolf quickly recovered and sent a paw towards Yimso.
 He hurriedly lifted his shield to block. The attack hit the shield, making his arms go numb and pushing him back by almost 3 meters before he could get back his footing. Suddenly, his body was washed over by a wave of green and light while the wolf’s was covered by a grey one, greatly relieving the numbness in Yimso’s arms, while the wolf felt it’s body grown heavier in an instant.
 These were the spells [Heal] and [Slow] casted by the mage Titus just now. He was hiding behind a bush with the lean looking guy who was preparing to shoot another arrow.
 Yimso, sheeting his sword, held the shield with both hands and charged straight at the wolf. The wolf who had its left eye blinded by the fire glared at him while squinting its remaining eye and pounced forward with its maw, filled with knife like teeth wide open.
 Yimso put the shield over his head and dived to the right, before colliding with the wolf. Just then, a fireball and an arrow with a vial of the liquid from before entered the maw of the wolf that could fit a child inside it causing an explosion even louder than before to occur.
 BOOM
 The wolf collapsed on the ground, twitching and continuously puking out black coloured blood. The blood from the wounds made by the short swords on its side also turned from red to black. Clearly, it had been poisoned and was quckly nearing its end.
 “Whew” Breathing out a sigh of relief, Yimso dropped his shield and collapsed on the forest floor and said “Hey, Tito, Puvi! How long are you going to be watching from over there, come over and let’s finish up here!” He then turned to look in the wolf’s direction and a floating blue box appeared in front of him.
  Species: Black Wolf
Type: Wolf, Beast
Level: 8
Rank: Elite
HP: 100/2550
MP: 200/200
Status: Poisoned, Fatigued, Heavily wounded
Description: A species of wolf. Its stats are focused towards agility, making it fast but sacrificing defensive capabilities. As a beast type, this creature is also vulnerable to fire.
 Rustle, Rustle
 After the rustle of leaves, the 1.65 meter tall mage and the 1.8 meter tall assassin walked out. “Hey, how is it going for you down there?”  ‘Puvi’ joked. “Any chance you’ll be going into the light soon? Hahaha!”
 “Yeah right, and who’s going to take aggro if I go?” Yimso sneered. “As if i could die sooner than you do.” He joked as he was pulled up by Puvi. “Now let’s hurry before more monsters appear.”
 Although they had not gone too far in, this was still the jungle, and there were predators that could catch the whiff of blood from miles away. So they had to either wipe out the scent of blood or leave the scene after they are done. They had already learned their lesson before when they had camped out in the forest and had slaughtered a deer next to the camp without burying the entrails, leaving it in the open which caused the camp to be surrounded by wild animals pretty quickly.
Luckily, they hadn’t attracted a big animal and only smaller ones had appeared. They had quickly packed up and escaped before the bigger predators had appeared; like this wolf that they just killed.
 “Here you go.” Titus handed Yimso a vial made of transparent glass containing light green liquid and drank one himself. The only difference was that his was blue in colour. “And I told you not to call me that. Call me Titus, I said” He spat.
 “Thanks, ‘Tito’.” He looked at him with smiling eyes at him as he took the vial. Of course, Yimso wouldn’t reject the vial that was being given to him. He knew that it was an item, a [Health Potion] to be exact, that they had found was obtainable in this strange world they had found themselves in one day.
The inhabitants of this world seems to have been born with a game like floating interface that they could use to check out their ‘status’ or sometimes others’ too. And the three of them had discovered that they had it too. Yes, similar to the ‘system’ described in novels back on earth.
 The ‘system’ had appraised them as below.
 Lowest grade Health Potion
-Heals most light wounds and restores 300 Hp instantly.
-Use: You drink it. What did you expect?
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lowest grade Mana Potion
-Restores 200 mana upon use.
-Use: You drink it. 😊
 “Yuck! I really wonder what in the world do they put in these things? They taste disgusting.” Yimso thought out loud while making an exaggerated ‘disgusted’ expression to which Titus just answered with a shrug.
 “System, show me my status.” Instantly upon saying those words, a blue box with numerous texts appeared in front of him.

 “Well, my wounds are healing at least.” Yimso mind shrugged as he looked at his previously wounded shoulder. He had been grazed by the wolf when he had dived to dodge the explosion.
 Over to the wolf’s side, Puvi had stabbed his sword into the wolf’s chest, ending its life, then collected its knife like teeth and claws and dug out a crystal orb the size of a fist from its chest, then put them in a pouch. “Hey Tits, catch!” He yelled as he threw the bag at Titus.
 “Sigh, I feel like I’m being bullied.” Catching the orb and putting it into a backpack, Titus couldn’t help but sigh and grumble as he thought about how his friends keep giving him nicknames.
 After resting for a few minutes, they discussed for a while before deciding to take back the entire wolf carcass back. And so, they departed, with Titus carrying a backpack half his size and Yimso carrying an almost 3 meter long wolf carcass on his back.
 “I’ll scout ahead!” With that, Puvi dashed ahead and started jumping from one tree to tree, soon disappearing.
2 hour later
 “Huaah~, thank goodness we are finally out of that damned forest” Yimso sighed as he could finally see their destination; a village surrounded by 5 meter high walls made of wood.
 “Gasp, pant” “Finally. W-we are finally…. o-out of… that forest.” Turning around, Yimso was greeted by the sight of Titus gasping for breath while carrying a backpack that had become almost as big as him after collecting items from beasts they encountered on the way and several plants and herbs in the forest. As for Puvi, he was carrying a small boar he had caught on the way; this was going to be their meal for tonight.
 Puvi looked towards the town surrounded by walls and sighed. “Come on guys we’re almost there.” After stopping for a moment to catch their breath, they started moving again.
 End of chapter 1: In a certain forest

Outrun The Lie
Here’s my piece for @zabdielmuch 700 writing challenge! Thank you for letting me take part, hope you enjoy it and congrats again 💚
Prompt #3: “Close that door”
Written for Zabdiel in AU! Kinda angsty, kinda smutty?? First time posting something I’ve written ☺️
Word count: 2.4k
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The darkness of the night sat still, the only thing glowing in contrast was the city skyline in the distance. The clock on the dashboard seemed to tick ever more slowly with each passing minute. My senses had heightened since we stopped here, I had hoped this would be a quick exchange - nothing out of the ordinary. That was until I had been forced to bring a runner with me.
“You know I’m more than capable of doing this by myself! And of all people why him?”
“It’s been getting tense out there, it’s for your own good.”
“What you think I can’t run shit myself?”
“No. I know you can’t. Not right now Amor.”
“Well at least send someone else with me, he’s not experienced enough.”
“Exactly. Who better to train him than you. Don’t doubt him.”
I gritted my teeth, trying to not let his words sink too deeply into my already wounded ego. The anxious tapping of my partners fingers on the dash didn’t help my already bubbling anger.
“Erick would you quit it!” I snapped. He quickly stopped coiling back into his seat. I almost felt bad for yelling. Almost.
“I’m sorry Y/N. I’m just nervous,” He spoke timidly.
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, instead trying to take a more hostile approach. “Don’t worry. You’ve already got all the product strapped to you. He should be here shortly, it only takes a few minutes to exchange.”
“I don’t want to mess it up.”
“Speak loudly and clearly when he talks to you and you won’t. Can’t make a bitch of yourself.”
He widened his eyes in surprise at my choice of words. I refused to look at him any longer. It wasn’t the fact that he was annoying, or the fact that he had no experience that had irked me so much. It was the fact that this I was him, more so, could’ve been him. On my first run scared out of my mind. He’s worried now but it won’t take long before he’s worked his way up the hierarchy of the system and moving his own product and making his own hits.
All these years doing the same job over and over constantly having to prove myself. I can do a thousand more runs like this and Erick will be promoted before I ever am while I’m here in the drivers seat with a new face next to me. I have more experience in handling shit than anyone else who would ever come through and yet I’m here, still in the same position Erick’s in now, only stronger.
“Is this him Y/N?” A car pulled up on the opposite side of the parking lot, headlights turned off. I squinted my eyes trying to get a better look at the driver but the tinted windows and lack of lighting didn’t help.
“You’re up,” I told him cooly. “Don’t panic, I’ve got you covered from here okay? Guards up.”
He gave a small nod before trying to exit the car. “Erick wait,” I pulled a gun out of the glovebox and hastily shoved it in his sock. “Just in case.”
I gave him one last reassuring look before he left, the coolness of the air creeping into the car for a split second. He won’t need the gun, as a matter of fact I don’t think he knows how to shoot one. I grabbed onto my own gun from the glovebox. “Just in case,” I quietly reminded myself.
The person in the other car didn’t get out, instead Erick rid himself of everything he had been holding onto in a hurry. My brows furrowed in confusion. Rule number one in the drug dealing world; always make sure your buyer gets out of the car, for multiple reasons. I scanned the area looking for any suspicious activity but everything seemed as it was before they arrived.
I couldn’t see clearly enough but Erick reached into the vehicle, making me assume he was accepting the cash. As soon as his arm was out the driver put his window up and quickly sped off throwing the both of us off guard. Rule number two; make sure all the money is counted and correct before parting ways.
“What the fuck,” I unbuckled my seatbelt getting out of the car to make sure everything was clear.
Rule number three; leave the area as soon as the drop has been made. Don’t stick around for too long.
These rules had all been ignored this entire time, leaving the car wouldn’t make a difference now.
“Erick!” I called out. “Come on we need to leave right now.”
“Espera un momento, I just need to count the money,” He slowly started walking back to the car looking in the envelope he had just received.
“You can do that in the car, let’s ju-“ My demands had been cut off by the sound of another car quickly approaching, headlights off as well. They parked exactly where the previous car had been, only this time the engine was cut and two men stepped out.
“Aye! You better not be leaving with my product,” One of them called out as Erick stood next to me.
“We’re not, just making sure everything’s in here,” I turned around pushing Erick into the car.
“Y/N,” He tried protesting.
“Erick not now, we need to get out of here. Whatever happens stay put.”
The same man yelled out, “We don’t have all day, you got our shit or not?”
“Patience is a virtue, it won’t kill you to wait a couple more minutes,” I bit back. I hurried to the trunk of the car pretending I was looking for what they came for.
Their footsteps slowly started to make their way towards us, “Well I don’t have a couple of minutes sweetheart, especially for Zabdiel’s little bitch.”
My breath hitched in my throat. Fuck they recognised me. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was sent here to make a drop, which we’ve already done. You’ve mistaken me for the wrong person.”
I turned around to make an escape but one of them launched themselves at me quickly knocking me down. “Well if you don’t have our shit I can think of something else to take.” His hands wrapped around my throat in an attempt to cut off my airways.
“Fuck you,” I spat in his face buying me a split second to flip so he was pinned beneath me. Quickly I freed myself from his grip and punched him straight in the mouth.
In the heat of the moment I had forgotten about his accomplice who had taken it upon himself to put me in a choke hold.
“Boss will be happy when we bring your head back,” A cool metal was placed roughly against the side of my head.
“You’re making a mistake,” I spat.
The other one one the floor was still trying to wipe his face clean of my attack. The gun I had armoured myself with sat in the waistband of my pants. I could easily free myself if I just-
“PUT THE GUN DOWN!” Erick’s voice echoed surprising all of us.
“Or what?” He laughs menacingly in my ear.
Before I could cut in a bang went off. The grip of the man holding onto me eased as he slumped onto the ground. My ears rang loudly and there was a burning sensation on the side of my head. I quickly pulled myself together ignoring the sting and dealt with the man on the ground, pulling my gun to serve him the same fate.
Instinctively I reached up to touch where the pain was still throbbing only to notice a huge chunk of my ear was missing and blood was pooling onto my hand. “Erick you fool, you clipped my ear!”
“Lo siento! I was just trying to help,” He begged with me.
“I told you to stay put I had it under control.”
“They had guns!”
“So did I!” I didn’t want to waste another second argue knowing we had to leave the area as soon as possible. “I need you to drive back so I can get myself cleaned up.”
Most of the ride back was quiet as I tried my best to stitch my ear. The bleeding had stopped but the pain was intense.
“Erick.”
“Yes?” He looked over at me nervously.
“Whatever I say go along with it okay?”
——————————————————————————————————
Erick’s foot tapped away nervously at the floor. I swear I could hear every thud and it irritated me. I took a deep breath to control myself. Maybe it was the ringing I still had playing in my ear.
He sat behind his huge mahogany desk, emotionless. He hasn’t looked at me once since we arrived. It was one of the few times I couldn’t read what he was thinking. I tried to match his expressions but I know, even without looking at me, he can see right through me like a thin veil. The injured ear didn’t help my case anymore.
“The money?” He finally spoke.
Erick wasted no time sliding the envelope across the desk for him to check. He opened it without breaking eye contact with the brunette boy, pulling and laying out a few $50 bills. Wouldn’t have even been an eighth of what we were suppose to bring back.
I huffed wishing this would all be over and done with.
“What happened?”
“It was my fault,” I was quick to speak up. “Some guys pulled up before the ones we were suppose to meet. I didn’t assess the situation well enough and let Erick make the exchange. By the time they left it was too late.”
“I didn’t ask you what happened,” He finally bore his eyes into mine. There was no softness like I was used to seeing. Only aggravation.
“You weren’t exactly specific.” I remarked.
He hummed in response not taking his sight off me, “Is this true Erick?”
“Yes.”
I raised an eyebrow daring him to challenge me.
“You can leave,” He addressed him.
Erick turned to leave giving me a sympathetic smile on the way out.
“Zabdiel-“ I tried to speak.
“Close that door.” His spoke lowly standing up from his seat.
I obeyed his orders instantly not wanting to anger him anymore.
“Why are you lying Y/N?”
“I’m not,” It sounded like I was trying to convince myself more than him. “I made the shots.”
“I thought Erick did? Literally.” My heart rate slowed at his answer. He couldn’t know two men had been taken out.
“Answer me,” He demanded.
“He didn’t. He stayed in the car, I dealt with it.”
“So two of their men are dead.”
I didn’t answer him this time knowing it wasn’t a question. “What happened to your ear?”
“One of them bit me during the fight.” The lies rolled off my tongue easy but there was no persuasion behind them.
“Because you’re Zabdiel’s little bitch right,” He mocked. “That’s why you got upset?”
Fucking Erick.
“Erick told me everything, you don’t need to lie anymore.”
“So why play games?”
He smirked, his gaze finally softening. “No games Y/N. You can’t hide anything from me. I will have to punish you though.”
I rolled my eyes, “What? You going to have your men beat me up, you know I’ll kick their asses. Or are you going to stop me from working? Because I rather stop all this shit than be in the same fucking position I’ve been in since we started this. I’m your best option here yet you won’t give me more.”
He walked towards me speaking in the same calm tone. “Bend over the desk.”
I starred at him dumbfounded my displeasure quickly draining. “Excuse me?”
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
My legs were shaking as I walked over and placed my hands on the cold wood hoping this stance would be enough.
“Bend.” Clearly not.
I spread my legs further apart pushing myself down into the desk further. The throbbing in my ear seemed to intensify; so did the the throbbing elsewhere.
His feet pressed into the carpet at what felt like an agonising pace but it only took a few seconds before I felt one of his larger hands cupped underneath my chin. His front rested directly onto my back as I felt my core start to heat up.
He placed his lips right against my good ear, “Amor, I’m doing everything I can to protect you, my best worker. But you are making my job harder.”
His other hand roamed my inner thigh teasingly making my eyes flutter close.
He continued to work his way up my thighs and waist with his featherlike touch. “What am I going to do with you?”
I had lost all ability to string together a simple sentence, let alone my own thoughts.
“Punish me,” I spoke barely above a whisper.
“You want that don’t you? My touch.” His lips tickled my neck, not kissing me.
“Zabdiel please,” I was practically begging at this point.
He laughed deeply, “The kingdom can be ours but you have to deal with this problem first. As punishment.”
“What happened to protecting your best worker?” I questioned.
“I can do both. Don’t doubt me.”
His hands left my skin making me whine at the loss of contact. He threw a box in front of me. “For you.” I stood up to face him only to be met with a tender kiss on the forehead, a complete 360 from the mood he was just in.
He started to retreat out of the room leaving me confused and worked up. “Zabdiel wait!”
His grin was sly knowing what he had just done to me and the state he was leaving me in. “We’ll have all the time in the world for fun, when you deal with the war you started.”
With that he left the room closing the door behind him. There was no point in following him as Zabdiel was a man of his words. We would have time later.
I grabbed the box tentatively opening it.
My eyes grew wide at the gift. Neatly perched on some tissue paper inside was a piece of flesh… the flesh that perfectly matched my injured ear with a menacing note next to it.
Next time we’ll be sending her head.
Inadequate.
Summary: After Putting Others First, Logan believes that the other sides have wanted him out of the picture all along. Fortunately, Virgil, Patton, and Roman help him to see how much he is truly appreciated. [We’re gonna address all of the insecure!Logan stuff that's been building up and validate him with Platonic LAMP and wholesome talks.]
______________________________________________________________________
Not that any of you care, but I am unharmed, and I don’t want to talk about it. I’m just here to deliver one last fact, and then I will do you all a favor and spare you my company.”
Logan sank out with a heavy sigh. His intentions were to return to some new research on an unusual stellar explosion, but he found himself distracted by recent events with Thomas and the sides. Logan thought that by reducing his physical presence to a text bubble for the latest episode, he would decrease the likelihood of the others becoming irritated with him. But this did not seem to be the case at all, based on the evidence mounting in Logan’s mind. Roman said that he “very much did not succeed” in being less invasive. Patton expressed gratitude that Logan’s factoids (an inaccurate term that set Logan even more on edge) were optional this time. Had they always been so vexed by Logan’s facts? And as his function in the group was to provide logic, did this further imply that they are always aggravated by Logan himself? By his mere presence?
Logan found himself pacing back and forth, an activity he usually deemed futile after seeing Virgil work himself up while pacing countless times. But the more he allowed himself to review previous interactions, the more he became sure of this pattern of detestation. And the worst part was that each of the sides had generously attempted to inform Logan that they did not want to hear from him; did not require his assistance! But he was so caught up in his facts. In sharing everything he knew with those he considered to be his companions. Perhaps he had been mistaken in thinking that their feelings for him were affectionate. This certainly wouldn’t be the first time Logan was fooled by the complexity of human emotion and relationships. His friends had been clear all along…
                          “Logan? Shut your ever-flapping gobtalker.”
                                    “Oh hush, sub-astute teacher.”
                                       “Not a good time, Logan...”
                                    “Oh shut up , nerdy Wolverine.”
                             “I’m afraid this is a benched trial for you.”
Logan felt himself losing physical and mental control as these memories grew louder and more insistent. He backed up, feeling vaguely dizzy, and registered that he hit the edge of his bed.
Simultaneously, there was a knock on the door. “Logan, are you in there?” Virgil. Logan sighed, which sounded like a loud gasp for air. Perhaps Virgil might be useful in this moment, at least for temporarily grounding him and decreasing this budding anxiety. “Yes, you may enter, Virgil.” Logan thought that his response sounded quite normal, a decent cover-up for his current state of mind. He was proven wrong immediately upon Virgil’s entrance. “Are they still- woah dude, what’s up? You look like me at 2am” Logan swallowed, which felt considerably more difficult than it should, considering humans swallow saliva an average of 500 to 700 ti-
Virgil interrupted Logan’s racing thoughts. “Okay, I can basically hear you thinking, and it’s making me anxious. What the hell happened up there? I leave you guys alone for one freaking episode and you come back looking like you’re about to put me out of a job. Who do I need to punch?” Logan offered a weak smile, and Virgil raised an eyebrow. “I am- I’ve discovered- I am experiencing some...unpleasant thoughts which appear to have induced some level of physicalized anxiety” Logan rushed out, looking away. A pause. Now you’ve done it, Logan. You’re the embodiment of logic, this display of emotions is unfitting! Virgil is going to be just as baffled as you are, and he won’t fix it because he thinks you’re a freak. Let him leave now so you can continue to reflect upon how useless you’ve been to Thomas and the others.
“Logan, hey. Can you hear me? You don’t have to look, that’s okay. Can you feel what you’re sitting on right now?” Logan closed his eyes. “Th-this feels like the floor? But I wasn’t- I wasn’t here a minute ago…” Logan flushed, frustrated by his stuttering and rapid heart rate. “Yeah, you slipped down there a minute ago. L, I don’t want to freak you out but it seems like you’re having a minor panic attack. Luckily, you’ve stumbled upon the expert. Heh. Cause I’m...ok, nope, wrong time for dark humor…” Logan willed himself to glance up at Virgil and started laughing in spite of himself. Virgil joined in after a minute of half-hearted glaring. “Okay, deflections unfortunately don’t work in the long-term. It uh, usually helps me to do some deep breathing if you wanna try that?” Logan nodded, guilt tugging at him for making Virgil deal with this.
Afterwards, Logan did feel more in control, at least in a physical sense (he should have thought of that, he knows how to address a panic attack, why couldn’t he just think-) “Thank you for your assistance with this...minor anxiety attack, Virgil. I do feel badly that you had to witness and address it, but I appreciate it nonetheless. I’ll be fine from here since you wish to leave.”
Logan looked up again as he heard Virgil scoff loudly. “What the hell gave you the idea that I want to leave? Did you leave your self-esteem upstairs, pocket protector?” Logan’s breath caught in his throat. “It would be impossible to ‘leave my self-esteem upstairs’, as self-esteem is not a physical entity-” he started. Virgil held up a hand, cutting Logan off. Shouldn’t you be used to getting cut off by now Logan? He wants you to shut up! “I really don’t get why you STILL take everything I say so literally. Seriously though, what’s going on? Do I need to get Patton in here?” “NO!” Logan yelled, wincing at his voice. Virgil raised an eyebrow and left without another word. Logan sighed. Having Virgil’s company to ground him in both a literal and figurative sense had been comforting, but it also made everything more painful. Logan realized more than ever how much he would truly miss Virgil’s presence when he finally ducked out, how much he genuinely enjoyed being around the other sides…
“Heyyy there kiddo...Virgil told me that you’re kinda off right now so I wanted to check in! This isn’t about earlier, is it? You know that we care about you!!” Logan willed himself to avoid snapping at Patton, but he didn’t want to risk being vulnerable in front of another side. “Don’t worry about me, Patton, I have simply realized belatedly that I am-” Logan swallowed, looking everywhere but at Patton“-undesirable as a friend and a side of Thomas’.” Logan finally looked up, and saw what he could only describe as pity reflected on Patton’s face. Don’t be melodramatic, Logan. Just explain that you finally recognize your inadequacy and share your intentions to duck out.
“You can’t really think that, LoLo-” Patton started, at the same time that Logan said “I have realized-” Patton opened and closed his mouth a few times before nodding at Logan to continue. “Thank you for allowing me to finish, it’s greatly appreciated. I have realized that my knowledge is disagreeable to you all, and as that is both my primary function and my singular skill, it would be best that I...duck out.” Logan finished, looking up to see Patton’s eyes fill with tears as Virgil and Roman burst into the room, practically falling over each other.
"NOT SO FAST, MICROSOFT NERD" Roman bellowed. "I don’t know where you got such a ridiculous idea, but we certainly don’t want you gone!” Logan adjusted his glasses, uncomfortable. He should have expected this sort of protestation from the others, despite his accurate statements. It is unlikely that the other sides would acknowledge their true feelings about Logan to his face.
“Falsehood. Perhaps you hadn’t specifically considered my ducking out, but I am not daft, Roman. I have noticed your eye rolls and reactions to my presence. I apologize for not arriving at this conclusion sooner.” At this, Logan’s voice cracked slightly. Patton’s eyes widened. “Oh Logan, that’s not true!! Roman and you may have your little arguments here and there but it’s mostly in good fun, right Roman? We totally value all the cool stuff you bring up!” Roman nodded, eyes fixed on Logan as if he didn’t recognize the side behind his insecurities. Logan took a shaky breath, trying to count to four silently. But it was not in his nature to allow false information go without a debate. The voices in his head were pounding, growing louder and more furious, more wild, more hurt. Logan glanced up and met Virgil’s worried stare, Patton’s bewilderment, and Roman’s passionate fury.
“Falsehood, again. As I stated, it took me far too long to recognize that I am….unwanted. But I will not be lied to now in some attempt to spare my feelings...”
“Lo, we are not lying when we say we car-”
                                                      “ENOUGH!!!!”
Logan began pacing again, hands switching between combing through his hair and flailing frantically. “I have compiled specific memories of each one of you asking me to shut up, to exit conversations...for example: just today Roman, you told me that I did NOT succeed in being less invasive, and quite literally slashed my words in half, which Patton thanked you for because you had ‘cut the tension’. Patton, you just said you ‘value all the cool stuff I bring up’, but earlier appeared quite relieved that I had made my presence and voice optional, which you took advantage of by hitting my ‘skip all’ button! I am not useful in providing logic, I am...not useful as a friend seeing as I can’t read social cues or provide joy, s-so….” Logan closed his eyes as he felt tears slide down his cheeks. The barrier had broken. He tried pushing past the others to leave, but a pair of strong arms wrapped around him.
“Logan, I...apologize for what I said earlier. And for anything in the past that has made you uncomfortable. We may have our moments not seeing eye to eye, but at the end of the day you keep me, and all of us in check. You balance us out! And that- meaning YOU- is something we could never live without, you nerd. I’ll admit we have all hit some rough patches recently. Even I, your dashing prince, have been dealing with some...insecurities. So perhaps we have been harsh, and haven’t made enough room to appreciate each other. Especially to appreciate you, Logan. You are...truly amazing.” Logan looked up to see what he could only classify as genuine care and sincerity reflected in Roman’s eyes.
Patton moved to sit beside Logan and Roman, resting his head on Logan’s shoulder. He spoke after a moment, voice wobbly and eyes bright. “Roman is 1000% right, LoLo! And I am so sorry that I didn’t realize you weren’t feeling needed sooner. That is a horrible feeling...But you know what? You are a fantastic friend.” Logan interrupted, “Earlier you said that one can’t learn to care for others from a book, Patton. You were correct-” Patton shook his head, taking Logan’s hand and squeezing it once. Logan...did not hate it. “I shouldn’t have said that. But I did mean it when I said you’re a fantastic friend. You didn’t learn that from a book, Logan. You learned it from being with all of us! You show us you care in all those fun little ways that just scream ‘Logan!!’ And we absolutely love that! And we love you, exactly as you are. You aren’t giving yourself enough credit.” At that, Logan finally smiled.
Patton shot a pointed look at Virgil, who was still standing nearby. “Oh come on, I thought we agreed that my compliments are unspoken??” Several pointed looks. “Fine. Listen...I know where you’re coming from. I don’t think anyone is surprised to hear that I’ve gone through the whole ‘should I be here’ thing on basically a daily basis. But I don’t think Thomas, or these weirdos, or I could function without you. And yeah, you’re not mushy or affectionate in your friendship, which I actually relate to and appreciate because Patton’s hugs are already overwhelming enough-” “VIRGIL-” “-anyway, you show us that you care in other ways. And the fact that we’re saying we couldn’t do this without you means that you are a good friend. We just all show it in different ways.”
Logan stood up, wiping his tears quickly as he approached Virgil. They tried some combination of a hug, back pat, and hand shake before simultaneously deciding on finger guns. Patton started laughing, and they all joined in as Roman yelled “You absolute NERDS” fondly. “Do you believe us, Logan?” Patton asked after they quieted down. “I have reason to believe that these types of things take time to work through, but yes, I do find your words to be genuine and...moving. Thank you all, from the bottom of the heart that I apparently do have.” They all smiled at that, making no comment about the light blush that tinted Logan’s features.
The rest of the night was filled with BBC’s Sherlock, trivia games, and laughter. Once the others had gone their separate ways, even Janus and Remus made an appearance, and Logan found that their chaos was surprisingly comforting. He’d have to unpack that more later. For the moment, he felt content, knowing that while he still had much to learn of emotions and friendship, he actually knew a bit more than he thought. And that was adequate (at least for now).
Loki ~ Pregnancy
700 Followers Challenge!
Requested by @moonfaery
Words: 772
Warnings: Pregnancy?  Slight frustration at over excitement?
You were starting to wonder who was more excited for this pregnancy, yourself, Loki or…Thor, you basically hadn’t stopped celebrating since you’d made the surprise announcement at dinner one night, his cheers and laughter booming from the Avengers tower as Loki stared at you with wide eyes and turning ridiculously pale.
It had taken you a little bit to calm him down, but once you got him comfortable with the idea of being a father, he was doing everything he could and more to ensure that you were healthy and comfortable.
Which, at the moment, involved trying to keep Thor away.
He’d been talking about it at every opportunity he could, and at first, it had been endearing, but now, over halfway through, and it was starting to wear you down.
You were under no illusion as to why he was excited, he’d been equally excited upon meeting you to begin with, but you were that there was a part of him that believed that Loki wouldn’t be able to keep it up and certainly wouldn’t be one for a family life.
Which meant that he was absolutely glowing with pride for his brother and Loki, for the most part, was calm about it, but then you could see the tines he absolutely hated it.
Finally, he burst into the bedroom one day looking very flustered and angry.
“We've got to do something about Thor.” He said hotly, not even paying attention to you as you rubbed ointment on your swollen stomach, just raising an eyebrow at him.  “He just went on and on about it in front of that Fury character as if it's his right to just keep telling people.  As if it’s his right to just offer up them up as a fighter!”
You couldn’t help the smile that tugged at your lips as you watch him almost instantly start pacing. “Loki, you know as well as I do that Thor only wants the best for us.”
Loki makes a disgusted noise.  “Yes, but must he be so open about it?  Must he just on and on and on and-” He catches sight of you and stops.  “My apologies dear, I didn’t realise I was interrupting.”
“If I can’t do this in front of you I have problems.”  You smile, finishing up.  “And besides, I’ve been trying to think of ways that we can tell Thor to just tone it down.  We are the ones expecting after all, we know what’s about to happen and what we are going to go through.”
“Tone it down?”  He asked incredulously.  “Have you met Thor?”
Chuckling, you stand and walk over to him, his stance instantly softening as he gives you a soft kiss on the lips.  “I have, and I’m sure if we ask nicely, he’ll listen.”
“Or I could just-”
“Loki.” It was just loud enough to make him stop.  “We don’t need to start anything with a baby on the way.  She needs to know love and protection, not violence and war, that can come after if she wishes it.”
He blinks at you. “She?”
You smile.  “Oh yes, didn’t I tell you?  I went for a check-up today and we have a very healthy baby girl on the way.”
For a moment you thought that he wouldn’t respond, until he frowns deeply.  “That’s it, Thor is getting it now.”
You laugh, quickly grabbing his hand before he can hurry out the door.  “No one else knows yet, you go bursting over to Thor to yell at him-”
“That’s not what I had in mind.”
“-then you’ll give it away! Honestly, I want to leave them guessing.”
Loki groans.  “But Thor-”
“We will ask him together.” You said, leading him back over to the lounge and taking a seat.  “Tomorrow. He’s going to uncle after all, he’s allowed some of the celebration, but I think some time away for the both of us is what we need right now, at least until she is due.”
His frown eases as he looks at you.  “Why must you be so reasonable?”
You smile.  “Because I love you and am your better half.”
Jokingly, he rolls his eyes. “Don't be fluffy, it makes me sick.”
You lean in and kiss his cheek.  “And you love me for it.”  You start, your hand resting on your belly.  “Oh!  There she is! Here.”
Taking Loki’s hand, you rest it over where your daughter was kicking away, smiling as he practically sinks into the lounge next to you, his eyes wide with wonder before he finally beams at you and kisses your temple.
“Tomorrow then.”
                                         The One Worth Dying For
 “What’s wrong, Shiefa? You’ve had a grumpy face all night”
 Little Shiefa looked up at her father, who had a calm expression despite the roaring thunder outside and the situation just past the double doors across the hall. She fidgeted in her seat, clinging to the green colored pajamas she wore. Shiefa was the second oldest child of the family, about seven years of age, and one of four daughters to Yelan Li, the powerful head of the Li clan.
 “I’m not grumpy…”
 Shiefa responded with an unconvincing tone and her soulful brown eyes gazed back to the doors of her parent’s room. Her father sat beside her in the antique horseshoe chair just beside her and placed a hand upon hers. It was clear to see that she was upset about something, and he was determined to find out what.
 “Is that so? You don’t appear to be too excited about your new sibling…your sisters almost couldn’t sleep because of their excitement, but you seem restless for another reason”
 The little girl tensed ever so slightly, but noticeably. It was no secret to the Li clan that she and all her sisters had been born without magic, and their mother was still under pressure to produce an heir. After having four children, Yelan’s body had surely been through so much already, so this fifth child was incredibly taxing on her physically. Yelan had been on bed rest for several weeks now, but tonight, on an evening with such a strong storm raging outside fueled by the humid summer of Hong Kong, she had gone into labor, and it was proving to have many complications.
 “…I don’t need another sibling. Why are they so important anyways? Because they might have magic? Futtie, Fanren, Feimei, and I can lead the clan together…we don’t need an heir with powers…”
 Her father was a bit surprised by this statement, but he could also understand where she was coming from. The magical world could be a very competitive place, and it was of the upmost importance for the leaders of each clan to produce an heir. Most children that were born without magic were seen as disappointments, but the Li clan treasured all of their offspring, magic or not. However, despite the Li Clan’s more progressive outlook, the need to keep magic alive in the family was still very important, and this must have unintentionally brought much guilt to his daughters.
 “Your new sibling, whether they are born with power or not, will be no more important than you or your sisters. Your mother is a very strong woman who takes her duties very seriously, but her love for her children will always take precedence.”
 Shiefa raised her head to look back at her father, this time with a look of anger.
 “But she is willing to die for her duty…”
 Her father frowned at this and gently squeezed her hand.
 “Why do you say that?”
 “I overheard the family doctors talking the other day. They were talking about how this child is taking a lot out of Mother and may even kill her…so why is it so important? Doesn’t she love us enough to live?”
 Shiefa had tears burning in her eyes, and her father suddenly seemed to understand the situation. It was no wonder why she was reacting so differently from her sisters, now that he knew she had overheard such a thing. He was silent for a few moments, thinking carefully about his next words. He couldn’t lie to her…she was too smart for that.
 “Yes, it is true that this labor will be difficult, but your mother is the most stubborn woman I know. She will not be defeated by this. And it is not duty she is risking herself for, Shiefa…”
 The girl wiped at the stray tears in her eyes and tried to remain strong. She was a tough child, perhaps the strongest of the daughters, but she was still a child nonetheless. Her father reached his arms over to grab hold of her and lift her to sit on his lap. Her heard naturally rested on his chest, and her body curled into his gentle embrace.
 “You may not be old enough to understand this yet, but life is a truly precious thing. There are few things worth risking it for, and I can tell you that magic is not one of them. However, bringing another life into the world…now that is something really spectacular. I never realized there was anything I could love as much as your mother until you and your sisters were born…”
 Shiefa looked up to him, rather surprised.
 “Really? Even though we were born without magic?”
 Her father nodded with a gentle smile on his face.
 “Of course! You and your sisters are perfect exactly as you are, and I would never wish for you to change. Your new sibling will need all of you to protect them and show them how to be loving and warm hearted towards others. Can you do that for me?”
 Shiefa paused for a long moment before nodding. Somehow the request felt a little sad, like he was not going to be around to teach this new child himself of the ways of the world.
 “Okay…”
 The man seemed pleased to hear this, and the both of them gazed upwards towards the double doors as there was a sudden loud yell of pain, appearing to be that of Yelan’s voice. Shiefa felt as if her heart had just fallen into her stomach, but then…the rumbling of thunder seemed to stop and the hallway was filled with the soft sound of an infant crying.
 The two stayed very still and waited patiently for several minutes until one of the doctors emerged from the room with a smile on his face.
 “My Lord, the Lady has given birth to a healthy son…!”
 The father instantly rose from his seat, still cradling his daughter in his arms as he made his way to the room. Shiefa couldn’t help but notice that her father’s shoulders dropped upon seeing his wife alive and well, and it was then that she realized how scared he himself had been without showing it. He must have put up a false calm in order to soothe her…
  Once inside, he gently rested Shiefa to sit on the side of the bed and took one of Yelan’s hands in his, kissing the top of it affectionately.
 “My love…you never cease to amaze me…”
 Yelan, although exhausted, smiled back at him and looked down to the newborn resting against her chest. The baby was so small was staring up inquisitively at his mother with big amber eyes. Shiefa hadn’t been old enough to remember the birth of her sisters, so this was the first time she had truly seen an infant that had just been born. It was rather mind boggling for her to see a human so tiny, and the way he looked at their mother was as if she were his entire world. She saw that connection between mother and child already forming, and there was something that stirred within her own heart as well. Shiefa couldn’t quite explain it, but her parents had both seen it in her eyes.
 “Would you like to hold your brother, my little snowflake?”
 Yelan smiled at her daughter who nodded rather eagerly. Gently, her father lifted the newborn and reached over to hand her the baby, making sure he was well supported before he fully released him. Shiefa stared down at her brother, who was looking at her in much the same way as he had with his mother.
 “He’s so small…and his eyes…they’re almost golden, like a wolf”
 Her father chuckled lightheartedly at this comment.
 “Like a wolf, eh? Yelan, have you decided on a name yet?”
 The mother shook her head.
 “No, but I think I have one in mind. How about Xiao Lang?”
 Her husband’s lips curled into a smile and he gave a nod of approval.
 “Small wolf? I think that works nicely”
 Shiefa smiled, perhaps for the first time that evening, and whispered down to her new brother.
 “Xiao Lang…I promise to always protect you, no matter what. And Futtie, Fanren, Feimei will too. We’ll keep you safe and happy, just like big sisters are supposed to”
 The young babe of course did not understand what was being said to him, but he still gave a hopeful look that implied he knew the feelings behind them. Shiefa was pleased with this and beamed at her parents. Her father nodded knowingly at her and reached forward to place a gentle hand on her head.
 “I’m sure you will…”
 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Several Years Later*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
 Shiefa fell to the ground roughly after having been struck by her younger brother’s kick. He immediately rushed to her side with a look of worry and guilt on his face.
 “Shiefa, are you all right? I didn’t mean to hit so hard…”
 His sister nodded and slowly got back to her feet, rubbing at bit at her side which had been impacted.
 “I’m fine. I’m tougher than I look, you know. I may be beautiful and feminine looking, but normally I can knock you down with one strike. You’ve gotten stronger…”
 Syaoran’s gaze averted, a serious look in his amber eyes.
 “I’m still not strong enough…I have to get stronger”
 Shiefa smiled at him and placed her fingers underneath his chin, gently angling his head up to look at her.
 “For her, right? The cute girl you met in Japan?”
 Syaoran nodded in determination. His older sister ruffled his hair, which made him scoff slightly in annoyance.
 “What was that for?”
 Shiefa laughed at her brother’s question.
 “You were so cute, I couldn’t resist. So you’re really going to go back to Japan, huh?”
 Her brother nodded again and wiped the sweat from his brow. He and his sister had been sparring in the garden outside as they often did. Although all of his sisters were incredibly talented in martial arts as well, none were quite as challenging as Shiefa. Wei taught him everything he knew, but he was getting too old to fight, and he couldn’t hold back right now when he had so little time left. He needed to get as strong as he could before he returned to Japan. Syaoran learned a great many things from his sisters, but training in magic was primarily done by Yelan. That training was the most brutal of them all, and his family members were concerned that he might be pushing himself too far. Even his mother was concerned, and being the strongest magic user in the Li Clan, this was quite telling.
 Shiefa placed her hands on her hips and her face became more serious.
 “Father, how can I protect this child from himself…?”
 She whispered softly to the air for her father’s angel to hear, and Syaoran rose his head, having heard her speak, but could not understand what was said.
 “Huh?”
 “It’s nothing. I just want you to remember something…”
 Shiefa stepped forward and warmly wrapped her arms around head in a kind embrace. Syaoran blushed in embarrassment from this action.
 “W-what are you doing?”
 He struggled a bit, but was firmly pulled back by his sister so there was no escape.
 “I want you to remember…that your life is precious.”
 Syaoran blinked at the statement, clearly confused as to where this was coming from. Shiefa did not let go of him as she continued.
 “Xiao Lang…don’t you make me break my promise…if you get hurt, you will make your sisters cry!”
 The boy went silent for a long moment and sighed before responding.
 “I don’t know what promise you’re talking about, but I don’t plan on making anyone cry”
 Shiefa suddenly pulled back, but her hands extended to pinch his cheeks and pull them to the side, as if to punish him.
 “Good! We’d never forgive you, you know!”
 Syaoran flailed his arms wildly in pain from the ‘torture’ until his sister finally released him. He massaged his red cheeks to soothe them, however he had been released from one torture to endure another. The remaining three sisters all swarmed around him, having snuck into the garden quite stealthily, and hugged him so tight that he felt the air nearly leave his body.
 “H-hey! I can’t breathe!”
 All the girls laughed and showered him with love, whether he wanted it or not. After all, a promise had been made, and it was one that they intended to keep, no matter what.
 Soon, Syaoran would be going away to Tomoeda with their mother’s permission to help save the girl he loved from unhappiness. But no matter how strong his magic or martial arts skills got, he would always in his family’s eyes be the little baby born in the thunderstorm; the one who was worth dying for.
Forever - IV
New Hanover, 1899
Jedediah’s last several encounters with Molly had been no better, he kept seeing the woman already dead or just out of his reach. He had spoken to the woman for perhaps 20 cumulative minutes in his seven hundred years of life and he was madly in love with her, his bones ached every night of his existence.
Sometime in the 1600s (he couldn’t tell you when) the Irish civil wars broke out and Molly was the leader of one such band that was completely demolished by the English. Jed had found them slaughtered.
In the 1700s he devoted his life and time to helping the poor as they starved at the hands of their rulers.
She was starving, dying, shot, stabbed, trampled. She was everywhere.
He moved around Ireland as much as he could go before he couldn’t stand it anymore, convinced the woman was following him.
With the egress of Irish folk to America, Jedediah wondered why he just hadn’t left Ireland yet. The woman haunted him and he wondered if it wasn’t because he had slaughtered villages in his Norman days. It was his eternal hell. So he emigrated to the last place on earth he thought he would go.
In the 1850s, he held a brief position as a constable in London, the only town worth living in, in his opinion. He was amazed by the technology, the contraptions they had created in the last 700 years. Towers, bridges, stagecoaches?
The reprieve from his ghost was short lived as during 1850, there was a rash of killings focused on prostitutes, one including the familiar red hair.
Was no place on earth safe?
Of course he had tried to take his own life several times, none of it worked. He kept waking up like the stubborn bastard he was. He wondered where on earth there was a volcano to throw himself into and came up on Hawaii, which was on the opposite side of the colonies.
So he sailed across the ocean to start his new life in New Hanover in 1898, hoping to shake himself from the curse.
He settled in a town called Valentine, too weak to move onto Hawaii. He was tired, it had been almost 50 years since his encounter with Molly. He checked his nonexistent watch, only 50 to go.
America surprised him.
By the road one evening he found a girl, almost as tired as he was but far younger. For the first time in many, many years he felt hope, a purpose. Her name was Izzy and he loved her dearly. It all fell apart when they came to Horseshoe Overlook for shelter with the Van Der Linde gang.
There she sat, miraculously alive and unharmed, in the arms of the ring leader himself, Dutch.
He couldn’t help but stare.
“Arthur who are your friends here?” the man boomed, good naturedly but Jed detected a hint of testiness.
“Jedediah,” the man he had come to know as Arthur grunted, “his daughter, Izzy.”
His heart warmed, it was the first time someone had said it out loud. He held his daughter close, kissing her head.
“Will you be staying with us, Mr. Jedediah?” Dutch asked, moving up to him slowly as if sizing him up.
Jed’s eyes were continually drawn to Molly and he eventually nodded.
“For as long as you’ll have us.”
As Jedediah rocked Izzy to sleep that night in front of the fire his heart raced. Would they be attacked tonight? What hell would happen to them? What misfortune had he brought upon these fine people?
He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up, startled.
“She asleep?”
It was the same flawless Irish accent he had heard in 1333, the same bird song voice flowing through his soul. She had on a sweet smile that reached her eyes. Jed looked down at Izzy and chuckled.
“Out like a light.”
“Susan set up a tent for you two,” she gestured to the front of camp, “if you’d like to set her down there.”
Jed nodded and stood up carefully, scooping up the sleeping child in his arms and following Molly and her swaying dress to the new tent. Setting her down gently, he pulled a blanket up to her chin and straightened, turning around to face Molly, who had not left.
“Molly O’Shea.”
God.
“Jedediah Porter.”
“It’s nice to meet you Jedediah.”
“Please, miss, just Jed.”
She smiled, the sun became a little less bright.
To Jed’s complete surprise, Molly O’Shea stayed beautifully alive over the course of the next few months, although the gang went horribly to shit. It was punctuated with brief peaks of leading Molly out into fields as she cried over Dutch, his inability to love, and why couldn’t I have met you sooner, Jed?
Oh, Molly.
He remembered picking a flower, a bright white orchid, pale as her skin, and tucking it behind her hair. He had grown to know her as much as he could in three months, the longest he had ever had the pleasure of being with her. She stitched his wounds, caressed his scars, his many, many scars.
“What’s this one, Jed?” she asked one night in Shady Belle. She was drunk, as per usual, trying to forget the man who was slowly descending into chaos, tracing the edges of a particularly nasty scar on his forearm.
This was when I poisoned you, dear.
“Steel accident,” he lied, “bit broke off when I was tempering it and… came off and cut me.”
She seemed to believe it and continued tracing, moving up to another scar, and another one, until she reached his neck, his jawline. They stared at each other a long moment, the sun sinking behind them. It set her hair alight, waving in the breeze like seagrass. He pushed some out of her eyes, thankful he had the chance to feel something so gentle between his fingers.
“Jed, I…”
Breath caught in his throat, chest tight, he waited, yes my love?
A scream from camp brought them both back to earth, a headless man on a horse jerked them all back firmly to reality. They could not stay here any longer.
Jed never got the chance again to be alone with Molly, and after several more months by her side she stubbornly clung to the unravelling leader of their gang.
In deceit, Jed was able to find Izzy a new home in Saint Denis after most of their gang had fallen apart. She clung to his leg as her new underground home took her in.
You’ll be safe here baby.
It’s not safe with me anymore.
He still heard her cries in his ears as he lay down every night.
It wasn’t long after he lost Izzy that Molly fell apart. Jed admired her loyalty to the man, her unwavering pledge to stay by his side through the darkest of times. Jed found himself on a rock looking out over a waterfall in their new camp in Ambarino, more alone than he had ever been.
Molly had disappeared shortly after Izzy. Jed had searched and searched for the woman he had been avoiding his entire life but had come up empty. Maybe she would come back. Voices brought him back to the camp and he turned to see Micah dragging Molly into camp, stumbling around in her pretty green dress, disheveled to hell.
“Found her drunk in a bar in Saint Denis,” Micah said triumphantly, throwing her to Dutch and smirking. Jed rushed up in a rage but held back. He didn’t want the wrath of Dutch to come down on him, though he didn’t think the man would care much now anyway.
“Miss O’Shea,” Dutch sighed, “how jolly.”
“It’s Molly, you sack of shit!” she cried, losing her footing as Micah let go and stood back, “oh Master of everything, the lord almighty!”
“Calm down,” he spat, hatred in his eyes. The camp gathered around at the commotion, staying back as Jed did.
“I won’t be ignored, Dutch van der Linde!” she said, pointing heartily at him, standing up for herself finally, “I ain’t him, I ain’t her, I ain’t any of your stooges! You don’t owe me nothing, I don’t owe you nothing! I’ll spit in your eye!”
Dutch stood there calmly, muttering various “calm downs” and what have you but it seemed to make her worse. The poor woman had reached her breaking point. When this was over, maybe she could finally be convinced to leave with Jed, make a break for it on their own. Get Izzy back and start again.
But then she fucked up.
“I told them!” she yelled, and the camp when silent.
“I’m sorry?” Dutch whispered, threatening to be lost in the wind as everyone held their breath.
No, Jed thought, not Molly… Molly wouldn’t betray the location of their camp to the Pinkertons… would she?
“Yeah I told them,” she repeated, “and I’d tell them again! Now I’ve got God’s ear!”
“You told who what?” Dutch stated calmly and Jed saw the rage bubbling up red from the man’s collar.
“Mister Milton, and Mister Ross,” the woman rattled off, pacing, “about the bank robbery, and I wanted them to kill you!” It wasn’t hatred coursing through her voice, but sadness. All the lonely nights she spent in the grass, Jed knew not a word she said was true. He exchanged glances with Arthur, who just shook his head slightly.
“You did what?” Dutch’s voice had finally risen and he pulled out his pistol, aiming it dead at Molly. She didn’t seem to care.
“I loved you, you god damn bastard!” she cried, curling her fists and shaking them at him, “go on, shoot me! Kill me!”
Jed’s heart broke in pieces, eyes welling up with tears. Arthur stepped in, putting a hand on Dutch’s shoulder and trying to reason.
“She’s crazy,” he shook his head, agreeing with Jed, “she ain’t worth it.”
Dutch shook him off, but lowered his gun anyway, taking a step towards her. Jed breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe this would work out.
“You told on me?” Dutch said, “you betrayed me?”
“Oh,” Molly barked a laugh, “you’re not so big now, are you?”
“Quiet!” Arthur snapped, turning to Dutch and lowering his voice, “just calm down.”
“Arthur?”
“She’s a fool,” he repeated, “get her out of here.”
“You know the rules,” Dutch warned.
“Not so big are we now, your Majes-”
A shot cracked out and Molly reeled, blood spurting from her stomach and heart as she fell back and hit the ground. Bill cried out and Jed whipped around to see Susan holding a shotgun, Susan who set his tent up for Izzy. Susan, who now looked murderous. Susan, who didn’t bat an eye at Jed when he rushed to Molly’s side.
“She knew the rules, Arthur!” she snapped coldly, “what the hell is wrong with you?”
Dutch seemed surprised as Jed rushed over, gripping his gun tighter.
“Jed?” he hissed.
“She was lying, you cold bastards!” he shouted to no one, “all she did was love you. And all you did was push her to the side!”
Dutch raised his gun and aimed it at Jed, who didn’t flinch.
“Go on, you coward.”
He had been stabbed, shot with an arrow, even poisoned once, but Jed had never been shot before. The white hot, searing pain through his chest sent him flying back next to Molly and he screwed his eyes shut, feigning death for the thousandth time.
“Get these bodies out of here and burnt!” he heard Susan cry, “and get back to work!”
He was heaved up by someone and carried away into the forest. After a while he was thrown down roughly and he heard Molly thump next to him.
“I got this, Bill,” he heard Arthur’s voice say calmly. Footsteps thundered away from him. Jed cracked an eye open and saw Arthur kneeling next to Molly, doing something like praying but not quite. He sat up and held his chest, watching as Arthur did a double take and push himself back.
“No, no, wait,” Jed said quickly holding his hands up, “please don’t… please don’t go anywhere.”
Arthur fixed him with a strange look but stopped.
“I saw you get shot in the heart,” he said quietly, looking at the tatters of Jed’s shirt.
“Yes, I…” Jed started for the second time in his long life, “unfortunately I can’t die.”
“Well,” Arthur finally said after some internal discussion, “wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen you die with my own eyes. How long have you…” he gestured to Jed.
“About seven hundred years.”
“And you’re not bored?”
“I’m getting there, Arthur,” he chuckled, wincing at his shoulder.
“I’m sorry about Molly,” Arthur said, “I know you two… got along.”
“Yeah we did,” Jed sighed, looking over at her, “would you mind if I took her and buried her? She doesn’t deserve this.”
“Sure,” he said, standing up and holding out a hand to help Jed, “what about you?”
“I will be long gone after this,” he replied, groaning as he stood, “trust me, you won’t see me again.”
“Didn’t think I would,” Arthur nodded and coughed heartily. Jed frowned. Arthur had looked just like his old brother, Banon, many years ago. Was everyone he met doomed to die? Well, yes, considering he’d outlive them all.
“Save them, Arthur,” Jed pleaded and shook his hand one last time.
He watched as Arthur sped off back to Beaver Hollow, and began digging his love’s grave again.
🍄 at first magia is fed up with riddle's attitude, him constantly "beheading" his dorm mates was enough to piss magia off.
🍄 right after he overblotted and magia saved him from his sure demise, his attitude toned down a lot and magia was able to tolerate him more.
🍄 magia visits heartslabyul more often, not just because it's friends with ace and deuce, but because it's now more interested in what riddle's personality is now that he's calmed down.
🍄 it pokes his head into his room one day and finds him sitting on his bed wordlessly.
🍄 upon seeing his utterly blank expression, magia feels the need to apologize for being an asshole.
"Hey, Riddle, I just wanted to apologize for-"
"There's nothing to apologize for."
Magia just kind of stands there and blinks, making Riddle let off a bit of a giggle.
"You saved me. And your previous words and actions were warranted by my ruthlessness. Even if they weren't, you still saved me, and for that I am forever grateful for."
"Ah… uh… I punched you in the nose though. I don't think that's super warranted by anything." …
… "Oh my god! How is your nose anyway!?"
Riddle could only laugh a bit more.
"It's fine. My nose is fine. It's completely healed now."
"Oh yeah, magic is a thing."
🍄 At that, Riddle wanted to burst out laughing.
🌸 The Confession ™ is really awkward and Magia sorta takes Riddle's hands, looks into his eyes and is like. "Hi so…" and then it gets really embarrassed because A) it's fucking shit at expressing emotions, and B) It hates eye contact. It ends up running away and confiding in Cater, which was an absolute SHIT decision on its part. Cater had ended up audio recording the whole thing.
"I wanted to confess to him but oh my god! I'm so bad at speaking from the heart - or some shit like that. A-and also i tried doing the whole ☆look into his eyes☆ thing but i chickened out because I HATE EYE CONTACT IT MAKES ME UNCOMFY"
cater's like "mhm yes i see. i see i see. mhm oh interesting. uh huh yup mhm" and then once it's done he's like "btw i recorded this and i'm so making riddle listen to it"
It's like "CATER N O!" and has to haul ass to catch up to his long-legged ass.
cater bursts into riddle's room with magia not far behind.
"CATER DONT YOU FUCKING DARE PLAY THAT RECORDING"
"AH-! ma-chan is spooky when it's mad"
"what is the recording?" riddle asks, confused AF
"IT'S NOTHING!!" magia deadass looks like it's about to cry from embarrassment
Or die.
Or both, really.
Riddle kind of thinks "wtf did Cater do" / "what kind of blackmail…"
Anyway, Magia actually starts sobbing hysterically when Cater plays the recording.
Riddle yells at Cater to shut the recording off and Cater's like it's been fun but now i've got to go <3
Riddle consoles Magia and then is like 👁👁 so uh. ur in love with me huh
Magia almost starts sobbing again before he says "i love you too."
Then it cries more anyway
🌸 side note: it totally gets revenge on cater.
🌸 Once they start dating, Magia somehow feels even worse for being an asshole to him, and keeps bringing him random shit it bought at the campus store as compensation.
🌸 Riddle insists that isn't necessary, but Magia is suddenly deaf.
"I have no choice but to return the favor"
Panik "RIDDLE N O"
"Why not, dear?"
Riddle: 1, Magia: -700.
🌸 tea time is a normal thing, and i like to think that riddle's soul leaves his body when he sees how much honey and sugar magia puts in it's tea.
"Is that much really necessary?"
"Uh-huh!"
"...no it isn't."
"Then why did you ask?!"
🌸 magia sings at unbirthday parties. no, i don't take constructive criticism.
🌸 on days when riddle seems especially stressed, magia likes carding its fingers through his hair and singing him to sleep with his head in its lap.
Jealous! ❧ Jun
Tumblr media
Member: Jun
Genre: Fluff (super tiny bit of angst)
Word count: 700+
❀          ❀          ❀
“Y/NNNNNN pllleeaasssseeeeee!! You always go out with Minghao! I’M your boyfriend! Right! Here! Me!”
The fact that Jun hadn’t realized you and Minghao were friends and friends only had boggled you. Minghao and yourself had met in elementary school, and the both of you were best friends since. The two of you were like brother and sister, and you both never had feelings for one another. Minghao was the one who introduced you to Jun in the first place, and upon seeing him and his handsome smile, along with hearing his voice, you instantly fell for him. Minghao even told Jun the second you two left them, “Wow. Shes whipped as hell.”
“Y/N? For me?”
“Duh. I’ve NEVER seen her act like that.”
“She’s gorgeous.” Jun stared at the door you had just left through, his mind clouding with thoughts of you.
“Then ask her out. I give you permission.”
“Permission…? What are you her father?”
“No, but I am her friend. And she deserves someone as good as she is. And I think that’s you.”
And just as quick as Jun met the two, they were both gone. The things Minghao said were running through Junhui’s mind the rest of the night, pondering if he should ask you on a date. After a couple months, Jun had decided he did really like you and your company and body and he wanted nothing more than for the two of you to be together.
After school that day, Jun took your hand without saying a word, and took you to his car. “Jun what wrong?”
Silence.
“I can walk home if thats what this is about. I do it everyd-”
“Y/N can you sit in the front?”
“Sure…. thank you for driving.”
You had 0 ideas of that what to say or think. You had seen Jun act weird before, but not liked this. You trusted him fully, so your neveres and suspicions were low. That’s when it clicked, you weren’t the nervous one, he was.
“Jun is everything ok? Please talk to me.”
He closed his door and looked at your eyes for a second, then he looked down.
“Um…. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out…. like… on a date?”
“Right now?”
“That’s what i was planning.” Jun giggled to himself. You were freaking out on the inside, somehow your emotions weren’t fully coming thorugh your actions or face, which you were thankful for.
“Y-Yeah, sure…….I’d love too.”
He took you to your favorite ice cream parlor, which became a common date spot, reminding you two of your first date.
“Y/N don’t leave meeeeeee pplleassseeeeeeeeee!”
“Jun, Minghao is gonna be here in about 5 minutes ok?” “Noooo he’s even picking you up??!”
“I need you to listen for a second. Come here.”
You took off your shoes and dragged Jun to the couch. He wrapped his arms around you in an instant, clinging to you like a teddy bear.
“Yes?”
He said in his oh so adorable voice.
“Please don’t be jealous of Minghao baby.”
“I'mn-”
“Don’t deny it either I know you are, it’s ok.”
Jun shoved his fave in your neck, blush creeping on his cheeks, guilt and shyness overcoming him.
“Actually, it’s not ok. I love you so much, please dont think I don’t.”
“I know you love me,,, but,,, I feel like you love him more.”
“Jun, me and him are just friends. We’ve been friends since we were like 10, we would have dated by now if there was something between us. But there isn’t. Minghao is like my older brother. Besides, I love Minghao as a friend and all, but hes not my type.”
“HEY!” Minghao yelled at you standing in the door way. “Come here IMMA!!!”
Jun broke into a laughing fit, as Minghao thughao chased you around the room, ready to fight. It ended with the two boys tickling you until you were dying, and you and Minghao taking off, a smiling Jun at the door.
“All of that Minghao just so we could do this?”
“It was worth it. Now lets hurry before stuff sells out.”
And just like that, the two of you sped off in search of Junhui’s birthday present.
