Ty Simpkins Instagram Update 7.13.23

"WARNING…Spoilers ahead… Now that Insidious has been out for a few days wanted to a photo dump of some fun pictures from filming. I legitimately had such an amazing time filming this. Learning how to (look like I know) how to draw and paint to acting like a literal demon this is my favorite thing I have been apart of. Not to mention celebrating my 21st at midnight on set and then immediately going to the Mets game to celebrate when I woke up. A birthday I will never forget. I also feel like I need to explain that our hard working hair and makeup team would apply a menthol stick under my eyes to help bring out as many tears as possible during my more emotional or intense scenes (movie magic I wasn’t actually crying I know I ruined it for everyone) but it was a fun running joke throughout and is a useful trick… I urge everyone to see this in theaters it adds to the entire experience and makes the movie THAT much more exciting and scary. So proud of what this film has accomplished in the short amount of time it’s been released and hoping for more success as time goes on. Hope everyone enjoys this movie as much as I do.
