F8
(i had written this in june and forgot to post it. after seeing you guys agree a lot with this post about isekaid reader i just had to put it out there)
What if Tav is conscious of the quick saves and the F8s, but not the rest of the team ? What if they remember every moment where their adventure companions stood on the very precipice of death or on the extreme of it ended up soulless, laying on the ground like a bag of cold limbs, deprived of any life ?
What if they used F8s in the hopes that somehow, on the next try, no companions would receive a critical hit that would bring them to the abominable sight of matte eyes, missing the glint of light that shines when one’s spirit still remains ?
Perhaps then someone else could replace one of your companions in the group? Perhaps by using Withers' hirelings you could prevent the others from being affected?
Imagine one night after a long day,, you’re by yourself next to the campfire for the long rest.
The stars have been piercing the black sky like pins in the web of night for a long time now, and it's your turn to keep watch.
Everything was quiet, so quiet, too quiet. It was a sharp contrast between the little crackles of the fire taking hot splinters into the air, and the raging storm of your mind.
Your eyes are immersed in the flames, as if they alone held the precious strategy that would allow you to overcome the horror of the many deaths you wanted to prevent.
You consider the strategy you might employ for the next day. Maybe start with a small bomb? No, if the range is missed it could cause more area damage than necessary.
Maybe throw a bottle of grease to slow them down? Except that if any sparks flew, it could get complicated.
Then maybe shoot an arrow of many targets...
‘Can't find sleep ?
You could have expected any of the companions. But the one who came to see you was Karlach.
“No.” you replied simply, without taking your eyes off the fire.
“What’s on your mind soldier ? You’ve been… absent minded today.”
Absent minded was a euphemism.
You had seen up close all of your companions nearing the party wipe, more than a half of them on the ground trying to get their death saving throws as the rest of the party barely had any health remaining.
And out of the few dialogue options you had for her tonight, between them all, was :
[PERSUASION] Nothing, it’s a bit of a personal matter, you’d find it very boring.
The rest of the options were either too rude for your taste, or would ultimately lead you to unveil of the true reason you were here. You knew that, it wasn’t the first time you were having this conversation.
The dice to roll was 15, and you had no guidance to get from Shadowheart, nor friends from Wyll. Barely a good bonus, you’d have to deal with it.
The first roll was a miserable 4, luckily for you, you had as many points of inspiration. The second roll was a 10.
Maybe you should embrace it and tell her ? you thought.
The next was a 7, and the one after was a 14.
Was the game really pushing you to reveal your situation?
Your last roll came, a natural 1.
“Come on, you know so much about all of us at camp !” she said as she sat down next to you. “Let us know more about you.”
You weren't surprised that it was Karlach who came to talk to you. You'd seen the video of Karlach breaking the fourth wall a while back, before you were transported into the game. But it intrigued you, why should she come at this precise moment of rumination.
“I just wonder... why can't the past just die?” you say, turning to her.
“I guess because sometimes you gotta kill the past yourself ? Or something like that, I don’t know, probably something wise about it. I could ask Gale if you want ? I’m sure he’d bounce on the occasion to talk about something that requires his intelligence!”
“No please, don’t get him up.”
Gale would ask too many questions, too many right questions, and would never get away from the subject. This was the last thing you needed at the moment.
“Why do you wonder that ? Something from your past chasing you ? I could take care of that.”
“I doubt you could.” you scoffed.
“Oh come on, there’s nothing that can surmount us.”
You observed her for a moment, her undying joy and energy feeling so natural. How could it feel so natural ?
“You’re not real.”
The sentence came out of your mouth, dialogue options all gone and unneeded.
She frowned, confused as the joy that inhabited her calmed down.
“What ?”
“You’re not real,” you repeated, the emotions twisting your throat.
“What do you mean ?”
A sort of panic slowly took hold of her as a heavy rumble echoed in the distance, like thunder.
“You remember all these memories, you feel all of these emotions.”
The rumbling grew louder, the ground beginning to tremble.
“Your anger, your joy, your sadness.”
The camp floor cracked, Karlach standing up suddenly.
“None of them really belong to you.”
Beams of green light passed through the fissures of the cracked floor.
“Because you're not real.”
Your eyes landed on Withers, his gaze urging you to do the right thing.
“F8.”
A moment passed, and before long you were back in front of the campfire.
Back with your thoughts, with your torments, with heavy choices.
They can't know, at least not yet.

How to Scrape Your Way Through Honour Mode and Look Reasonably Good Doing It
Tumblr media
I won't say I beat Honour Mode on my first try, because my Dishonour Mode playthrough served as a critically useful dry run, but I will say that the first character I made with the intention of completing Honour Mode properly did in fact complete Honour Mode.
Below are the 13 most important lessons I learned along the way that made this possible.
Tumblr media
1) Do not be Mothman.
You really want to minimize fights and maximize available vendors. Ask yourself "What would Mothman do?" and then do not do that thing.
Tumblr media
2) Do be a half-orc.
Fights can go real wrong real fast, and in the early game, you are perpetually one bad round of combat away from oblivion. In my case, the harpies critted Shadowheart to death, and then every chucklefuck in my party failed their wisdom save at the same time. The other two members ate more multiattacks than they could handle, and then so did Pizzazz, but she held on with one single precious hit point after the last blow. She dug herself out of the hole with heal potions and her fists of righteous anger.
Pizzazz being a half-orc saved the entire run here. Having Death Ward once a day comes in fucking clutch when you're below level 5, and tbh the hardest part of Honour Mode is getting to level 5.
The harpy fight was also when I realized the need for a critical strategy:
3) Make one party member your panic button.
I only really needed this trick in the early game (I cannot emphasize enough how most of my close calls were before level 5), but it saved my ass several times. Panic early, panic often.
Pick the party member who has the least to contribute to a fight and park them where they can't get drawn into initiative. You can leave them all the way back at camp, or if you're me, just put them far back in hiding so it's easy to pull them in to help with late-fight cleanup if things are going well (or to finish a fight in the goofiest way possible, see above). Either way, their job is to run crying to Withers if everyone else dies.
Speaking of which…
Tumblr media
4) Exploit Bone Daddy's indifference to being pickpocketed.
You can get back whatever "the price of balance" is by yoinking it right out of Withers's pockets. If you fail the sleight of hand check, no worries; you get pulled out of hiding, but he doesn't react at all, and you can just squat back down and get right back in there.
Tumblr media
5) Tell Jesse you need to cook.
Potions of Speed are the goddamn Philosopher's Stones of this game. So I made Gale a Transmutation Wizard, made him proficient in Medicine, and put him in charge of alchemy. Just clearing the gnoll zone got me pretty well set for the first two acts.
Getting double heal pots sure doesn't hurt, either.
Tumblr media
6) Start a local chapter of the Warding Bond Cleric Club.
This is something I discovered was possible while I was fretting over prepping for the end of Act 2, because last time was such a clusterfuck. You can hire three hirelings, give them fun names like Ouchie Magnet, Sexy Pincushion, and Yoohoo Loviatar, get them to cast Warding Bond on the party members you actually intend to use, and enjoy the full benefits of it out in the world while your hirelings stand around bleeding at camp.
Any buff that lasts until the next long rest and doesn't require concentration works like this, fyi. Death Ward and Longstrider are also especially handy (and once you get to level 11, Heroes' Feast). Setting this up is tedious enough that I only did it a few times during the game, when I was going into situations I couldn't easily extricate myself from in case of emergency. (So the Mindflayer Colony, the Iron Throne, the Steel Watch Foundry, and one last time for the Temple of Baal.)
Tumblr media
7) Break big battles up into bite-sized skirmishes.
Why would I fight all the cultists at Moonrise Tower in a grand climactic battle when I could sneak around before finishing the Gauntlet of Shar and pick off my future foes in packs? Since they're not hostile yet, it's pretty simple to wipe them out one room at a time, using Minor Illusion to lure guards away from their posts. Then I got the joy of showing up with Jaheira and all her Harpers to curbstomp the two (2) guys I missed.
Also good for removing all the intellect devourers before you pick a fight with Mindflayers in the Mindflayer Colony and for surviving gnoll swarms. Sometimes you even get lucky and a hyena falls into a hole, somehow.
Tumblr media
8) Fill your camp with literal tons of explosives.
See a smokepowder barrel? Pick it up and send it to camp. Do this consistently and you will have deeply nervous party members every time you light a campfire, probably, but you'll also have a way to cheese boss fights that you're worried about. I chugged elixirs that raised strength before the end of Act 2 so that I could bring a dozen smokepowder barrels with me to the Myrkul fight and absolutely trivialized it.
Tumblr media
9) Become a partial illithid.
Mourn your aesthetic and commune with that frosty little worm. (Take Volo's amateur eye surgery, too, btw. Just fuck yourself up.) The powers are worth it. A truly hardcore player would also get their companions to dip a toe into ceremorphosis, but I started by asking Astarion, who fucking loves regular tadpoles, to try it, and his response made me feel so bad that I abandoned the cause entirely.
Tumblr media
10) Start your day with a delicious and nutritious Heroes' Feast.
So I never really read the description closely because sometimes I'm just like that, but thanks to the Warding Bond Cleric Club, I started paying closer attention to buffs and holy shit??? Thoroughly Stuffed is a baller condition, and it also makes food. I didn't have to go grocery shopping even once! Having three bonus clerics with spell slots to burn also meant the 6th-level cost wasn't coming out of Shadowheart.
Tumblr media
11) Accept that late-game enemy saving throws will mercilessly fuck you.
It feels real bad when you cast a 6th-level spell that operates on saving throws and your target shrugs it off with 0 damage. Spells with attack rolls are usually better bets, and Artistry of War is a wizard's once-per-short-rest MVP. Open Hand Monk Pizzazz was consistently my best damage dealer, especially once I looted the Bonespike Gloves from Strangler Luke.
Tumblr media
12) Skip the high-risk low-reward quests in Act 3.
Consider your party composition and tactics and whether any optional quest line is worth completing for its rewards. Cazador, the Sharrans, and Ansur are non-trivially difficult fights that I didn't need to subject myself to, so I didn't. But there's real good shit under Sorcerous Sundries, so of course I cleared out that vault.
Hell isn't actually that bad on Honour Mode (no, really! The restoration faucets have unlimited uses!), but it's not a sure thing and I could live without the rewards. Had a tense moment passing the DC 30 Persuasion check with Kith'rak Voss later, but he chilled out and even let me borrow his dragon's breath.
The only unnecessary hard fight I did was the Steel Watcher Titan, which was a bad call on my part; I kinda wanted the crossbow and I really wanted to keep the runepowder bomb in case I needed it, but Mothman didn't do this fight, so I was not prepared for the Hellfire Steel Watcher Titan's bullshit. I won, but it was a closer shave than it should have been.
Then I ended up not using the crossbow at all.
Tumblr media
13) Thank Gale for his sacrifice.
The Netherbrain is fucking nasty on Honour Mode. Fuck Karsite Grip. Fuck Aegis of the Absolute. Does it feel bad to make Gale sacrifice himself? Yes. Would it feel worse to lose the run right before the finish line? Also yes.
I brought every explosive I had with me (which required two rounds of strength-boosting elixirs, because the game hits you with a long rest before the Astral Plane) just in case Gale got cold feet and I burned all my inspiration fucking up the persuasion roll, then went through the sewers to avoid the larger fight. Someone (Gale, so I couldn't be too mad) failed a stealth check and aggroed them all anyway, but Pizzazz covered the ground to the brainstem in like three rounds and everyone warped up after her for the cutscene, so no harm no foul.
Then Gale volunteered—nay, insisted on blowing himself up and I felt bad! Real bad! Not bad enough to change course, but Pizzazz's face was also my face during epilogue:
Tumblr media
P.S. At least for me, the achievement procced after the epilogue, credits, and post-credits scene, and I was tense af the entire time. But not so tense I couldn't be sad about Gale (oh no he wrote me a letter) and Astarion (oh no he's still in hiding because of Cazador). Luckily my big hot wife was there to support me.
Tumblr media
Anyway, let's load an old autosave on another campaign and check out those golden dice, shall we?

Ahhh, my horrible son

More Notes on a Duo Act 1/Act 2 Playthrough
Tumblr media
Here's Part 4 of tracking my swords bards' 14th playthrough day-by-day in-game, sans hirelings and (most) companions. Continuing from Solo Notes, More Solo Notes, and Duo Notes. This entry wraps up all the Act 1 stuff in the span of six jam-packed long rests, all below the cut:
Tumblr media
Day 11. Nuked the spectator first thing; Minthara baited it and then Cannor shot the smokepowder/oil barrels behind the creature to incinerate it in one hit. Went for the drow studded leather afterward. Then relieved the kua-toa of their fake god. Then did for the hag and redcaps in the swamp (smites work wonders) and sent Mayrina and her zombie-husband on their way to the city. Our heroes were running low on barrels, so Minthara stole four smokepowder containers while Cannor distracted the Zhent with performance. Called on the ogres again to help with defeating Filro and the hook horrors. Decided to keep them on to see what they could do vs Grym or the phase spiders. Warped to Moonhaven and camped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 12. Finished up Moonhaven by making the sussur dagger, destroying the phase spiders, and snagging the Poisoner Robe for Minthara's collection. Feather-fell back into the Underdark and returned to the Forge area. When four Zhent smokepowder barrels failed to make a real dent in Grym, Cannor called for the ogres to use them as bait, then while they died horribly, he crushed Grym with the forge’s hammer. That reduced it to 2hp, but then Cannor and Minthara had to do the super-heating thing again to finish it off. Underdark and Grymforge complete, they returned to the Myconid Colony and camped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 13. Turns out the Zhents were salty about smokepowder barrel theft. How unfortunate—for them. After dealing with that, our heroes did other sorts of Act 1 cleanup, like drinking Omeluum’s potion (Cannor), and snipe-bombing the bridge gith (without Voss and Lae’zel, they were no match for Level 6 Minthara). Proceeded to the monastery and demolished the gremishkas. Camped in the creche (also shoutout to this location in general, one of my favorites in-game, for the late-afternoon sunlight, weird alien vibe, and eerie ambient soundtrack).
Day 14. Deciding to get the gith before the gith figured out they were infected, our heroes took on the whole creche stealthily and methodically, clearing the main hallway, infirmary, dorm, training room, and hatchery (where Minthara decided to swipe the egg for Esther after all). Hit level 7 after the latter. Camped in the crags.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 15. Finished the job, clearing the entrance, back door, captain's quarters, and inquisitor's room (both of the latter with barrelmancy). Lied to Vlaakith's face by promising to kill the person in the prism. For the first time ever, Cannor nuked the monastery—getting out with no injuries. Camped in the crags.
Day 16. Used some standard kettle-barrelmancy for the Death Shepherds first thing, because fuck them. They traumatized me so badly on my first playthrough a year ago and I've never forgiven them. I've always despised undead and give them radiance and fire in-game whenever I can. Anyway, our heroes traded with Esther one last time and then warped to Last Light and Act 2, leaving Act 1 permanently. Day 16 will continue next time.

I Will Send My Messenger
1 Behold, I send forth my messenger, and he shall survey the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come into his temple, even the angel of the covenant, whom ye take pleasure in: behold, he is coming, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 And who will abide the day of his coming? or who will withstand at his appearing? for he is coming in as the fire of a furnace and as the herb of fullers. 3 He shall sit to melt and purify as it were silver, and as it were gold: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver, and they shall offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness. 4 And the sacrifice of Juda and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to the Lord, according to the former days, and according to the former years.
5 And I will draw near to you in judgment; and I will be a sift witness against the witches, and against the adulteresses, and against them that swear falsely by my name, and against them that keep back the hireling's wages, and them that oppress the widow, and afflict orphans, and that wrest the judgment of the stranger, and fear not me, saith the Lord Almighty.
Robbing God
6 For I am the Lord your God, and I am not changed:
7 but ye, the sons of Jacob, have not refrained from the iniquities of your fathers: ye have perverted my statutes, and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, saith the Lord Almighty. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man insult God? for ye insult me. But ye say, Wherein have we insulted thee? In that the tithes and first-fruits are with you still. 9 And ye do surely look off from me, and ye insult me. 10 The year is completed, and ye have brought all the produce into the storehouses; but there shall be the plunder thereof in its house: return now on this behalf, saith the Lord Almighty, see if I will not open to you the torrents of heaven, and pour out my blessing upon you, until ye are satisfied. 11 And I will appoint food for you, and I will not destroy the fruit of your land; and your vine in the field shall not fail, saith the Lord Almighty. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a desirable land, saith the Lord Almighty.
The Book of Remembrance
13 Ye have spoken grievous words against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye said, Wherein have we spoken against thee? 14 Ye said, He that serves God labours in vain: and what have we gained in that we have kept his ordinances, and in that we have walked as suppliants before the face of the Lord Almighty? 15 And now we pronounce strangers blessed; and all they who act unlawfully are built up; and they have resisted God, and yet have been delivered.
16 Thus spoke they that feared the Lord, every one to his neighbour: and the Lord gave heed, and hearkened, and he wrote a book of remembrance before him for them that feared the Lord and reverenced his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord Almighty, in the day which I appoint for a peculiar possession; and I will make choice of them, as a man makes choice of his son that serves him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, and between him that serves God, and him that serves him not. — Malachi 3 | Brenton's Septuagint Translation (BST) The English translation of The Septuagint by Sir Lancelot Charles Lee Brenton (1851) Cross References: Exodus 19:5; Exodus 22:22; Exodus 32:32; Leviticus 26:3; Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 23:19; 2 Chronicles 7:1; 2 Chronicles 7:12; Nehemiah 13:11-12; Psalm 4:5; Psalm 34:15; Psalm 51:19; Psalm 58:2; Psalm 141:4; Isaiah 43:22; Isaiah 46:12; Isaiah 58:3; Isaiah 61:9; Isaiah 62:4; Jeremiah 7:25-26; Jeremiah 44:18; Hosea 2:21; Joel 1:4; Haggai 1:11; Zechariah 5:3; Malachi 2:2; Matthew 3:10; Matthew 11:10; Matthew 11:14; 1 Corinthians 3:13; James 1:17; James 4:8; James 5:4; 1 Peter 2:9

I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 in several days now. The last time I played we were just farting around in Baldur's Gate itself. I think I spent most of my time tryin to save all the Gondians in the Foundry (failed 7 times in a row and just accepted that 1 death was okay), then the Throne. Just now I was doing some inventory housekeeping and found a backpack in my inventory with gear in it. Scratching my head, wondering where from (not Shadowheart's from when she bailed angrily in Act 2). I realized it was the gear I gave Halsin. Why do I have this? Went to ask him and I can't find his tent in camp. He's not in the "Send to" list for items, or in the character sheet list. Panic. What did I do? Did he leave angrily? I finished his quest! Did I glitch it out bouncing between areas too much? Do I have too many hirelings? I dismissed one; no change. Frantic panic that I broke the game and deleted Halsin somehow (I'm on PS5 so no mods, just my own stupidity). After like 10 minutes I realized "OH RIGHT Orin kidnapped him!". I don't even have him in my party in this playthrough and I rejected his romance (Gale all the way), so I'm not sure why I panicked. Totally sidetracked and forgot I need to go rescue him. XD

4th February >> Mass Readings (USA)
Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Cycle B
(Liturgical Colour: Green: B (2))
First Reading Job 7:1–4, 6–7 I am filled with restlessness until the dawn.
Job spoke, saying:
Is not man’s life on earth a drudgery? Are not his days those of hirelings? He is a slave who longs for the shade, a hireling who waits for his wages. So I have been assigned months of misery, and troubled nights have been allotted to me. If in bed I say, “When shall I arise?” then the night drags on; I am filled with restlessness until the dawn. My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle; they come to an end without hope. Remember that my life is like the wind; I shall not see happiness again.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 147:1–2, 3–4, 5–6
R/ Praise the Lord, who heals the brokenhearted. or R/ Alleluia.
Praise the LORD, for he is good; sing praise to our God, for he is gracious; it is fitting to praise him. The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem; the dispersed of Israel he gathers.
R/ Praise the Lord, who heals the brokenhearted. or R/ Alleluia.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He tells the number of the stars; he calls each by name.
R/ Praise the Lord, who heals the brokenhearted. or R/ Alleluia.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; to his wisdom there is no limit. The LORD sustains the lowly; the wicked he casts to the ground.
R/ Praise the Lord, who heals the brokenhearted. or R/ Alleluia.
Second Reading 1 Corinthians 9:16–19, 22–23 Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.
Brothers and sisters: If I preach the gospel, this is no reason for me to boast, for an obligation has been imposed on me, and woe to me if I do not preach it! If I do so willingly, I have a recompense, but if unwillingly, then I have been entrusted with a stewardship. What then is my recompense? That, when I preach, I offer the gospel free of charge so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.
Although I am free in regard to all, I have made myself a slave to all so as to win over as many as possible. To the weak I became weak, to win over the weak. I have become all things to all, to save at least some. All this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I too may have a share in it.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 8:17
Alleluia, alleluia. Christ took away our infirmities and bore our diseases. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Mark 1:29–39 Jesus cured many who were sick with various diseases.
On leaving the synagogue Jesus entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John. Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick with a fever. They immediately told him about her. He approached, grasped her hand, and helped her up. Then the fever left her and she waited on them.
When it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were ill or possessed by demons. The whole town was gathered at the door. He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and he drove out many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew him.
Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed. Simon and those who were with him pursued him and on finding him said, “Everyone is looking for you.” He told them, “Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.” So he went into their synagogues, preaching and driving out demons throughout the whole of Galilee.
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Well this is awkward. Below is the mentioned YT video. Pretty bid "coincidence" right?
Like I said on prior posts. God works in awesome ways, and only he knows who actually may get saved out of this.
But recognize the times. The babylon system has people exhausted and looking for help. We know what we just went through the past three years. We are still bombarded with division and struggles mentally and financially. Social media eating people up from the inside, feeding depression, insecurities, addictions, creating holes that people are trying, no....dying to fill. Society is lost. And it is only going to get worse. And these hireling false shepherds do not care one damn bit because it's about money for them. They use people, twist scripture, all for fame and fortune.
So again I say, know your Bible. Jesus said this would happen. Without knowing his word, so many people are going to fall for this.

Happy Gygax day!
Str 7, Dex 8, Con 8, Int 8, Wis 10, Cha 14
I might play this as a back-ranker cleric, if you challenged me to keep these rolls. Wis 10 isn't great, but old school clerics didn't use it for much.
I'd spend as much of my starting money as I can afford on hirelings, though. Put that charisma score to good use.

Jesus said to his twice-born Labourers that he had employed in the Royal Vineyard of our Supernatural Father of our souls and not the once-born spiritually blind disciples of the Rabbis, a corruption by the Messianic Jews: “Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me; a corruption. Solid Proof; this Golden Temple is of the same size as the Holiest of Holy that used to be in Jerusalem and its Curtain held the Secrets of the Oral Torah = His Word was rendered from the Top, the Temple High Priests, to the Bottom, the village Rabbis off you go – Luke 16v16; Law and Prophets were till John and thus, everyone makes a direct approach to God through His Word = Logo = SATGUR PARSAD. So, these hireling Dog-Collared Priests and Mullahs, cannot give your account to God as the Rabbis used to give at Passover. So, they are "ANTICHRISTS" that have a following of the spiritually blind Super Bastard Fanatic Devils - John 8v44 -, Hindu, Jew, Sikh, Christian, Muslim, etc. Outwardly, and not spiritually inwardly. These spiritual selves Hindu, Jew and Christian, are never born like Christ, the Title and they never die but the tribal selves Judah, Levi, Jatt, Tarkhan, etc. were born and they will die. Thus, Jesus was born and Jesus died on the Cross and rose on the Third Day and NOT CHRIST, THE TITLE. Ecclesiastes 7:20 There is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.
Psalm 93:5 Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns Your house for endless days, O LORD.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord.
Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Lamentations 3:24 Deep in my heart I say, "The LORD is all I need; I can depend on him!"
May you find your joy in the manifold presence of the Lord and in your obedient service to His saints, that you may stand in the day when bad news arrives and point the way to the Lord when others seek a way to flee. Jeremiah 49
May you be ready to seek the Lord your God in tears, asking to know His ways, and turn your face to Him, to come and bind yourself to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. Jeremiah 50
Though you have had shepherds who were only hirelings and left you wandering on mountain and hill, unable to find a resting place, often fearful and insecure, taken advantage of, may you turn to the Lord in thanks, giving Him honor for being your true pasture, and be drawn into the hope He restores to you. Jeremiah 50
May you continue to seek the Lord through prayer and the Word, obeying His commands and praising His goodness, so that when God turns our captivity, returning from the far-off country to receive His kingdom, no guilt will be found, no sins will be seen, for He will forgive the remnant He has spared as He brings His people back to their pasture. Jeremiah 50
May you know that your Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is His name, and He will vigorously defend your cause so that He may bring rest to your heart, but unrest to your captors who hold you fast. Jeremiah 50
May you receive and embrace the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, Who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time. Titus 1
My child, do not fear the loneliness of the soul, nor shy away from the silence of the heart. Though it causes you pain, you will not die, but you will live. For it is in that silence that you will hear My voice; it is in that aloneness that you will feel My touch. Your heart has cried out to Me for the intimacy of relationship you desire, that closeness of walking with Me that you see in others. This is the price they paid to have that personal, one-on-one nearness with Me in the spirit that is so attractive to you. I have heard your prayer and am answering it; are you going to refuse My answer to your prayer? Will you then say in your heart, "God does not answer my prayers"? Be careful that you do not distance yourself from Me, or let your fervor grow cold through rejection of My gift and from avoidance of My presence. Even in your most profoundly solitary walk, My dear one, when the heaviness of your isolation bears down on you in a crushing weight of realization that there is no one within reach, hear the gentle voice of My Spirit reminding you that you are now, indeed, in awesome company; for walking with you will be revealed the Godhead in union, the Three-in-One united in purpose, in will, and in love, accepting you into the midst of their loving embrace and sustaining relationship. It is from these times of lonely fellowship that you learn to abide in the Vine and draw life from the true Root. Though you fear the withering and dying of what you have known, understand that those connections were of the flesh and were destined to end eventually. That time has now arrived. What you are receiving from My hand is eternal, My love, and will never cease, for I do not change, and I will never leave you or forsake you. Trust in Me, My precious one, and rest on My promises, for I am doing a work in your heart that will bring rejoicing to many as they receive from Me the flow of My loving Spirit through you as they never could have before. I will make of you a witness for My love and a channel for My compassion, establishing you in the hearts of many. It starts with knowing Me in the sanctuary of solitude; meet with Me there, My child.
May you walk in the ways of the Lord, demonstrating hospitality, loving what is good, being self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined, holding firmly to the trustworthy message of God's love in order to encourage others and refute those who oppose God's truth. Titus 1
May you be glad that the Lord reigns, and may you rejoice at His righteousness and justice, which are the foundation of His throne, for though fire goes before Him, consuming His foes, the earth trembles before His lightning, and the mountains melt like wax before Him, yet the heavens proclaim His righteousness and all the peoples see His glory. Psalm 97
May you rejoice and be glad because of the judgments of the Lord, for the Lord Most High over all the earth is exalted far above all gods. Psalm 97
May you rejoice in the righteousness of the Lord and praise His holy name, for those who love the Lord hate evil, and as light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart, He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97
May you sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things, His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him, making known His salvation and revealing His righteousness to the nations, for He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to His people, who have shown His salvation to the ends of the earth. Psalm 98
May you shout for joy to the Lord of all the earth, and burst into jubilant song with music, making music to the Lord with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn as you shout for joy before the Lord, the King. Psalm 98

Isaiah 53:6, KJV "But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd." Matthew 9:36, KJV "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice . . . Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them . . . I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd . . . But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:2-4, 7-8, 11-16, 26-27, KJV "So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." The Book of Colossians
In this sermon, Dr. Thiel covers each and every verse of the Apostle Paul's Epistle to the Colossians. This short book was written while Paul was imprisoned in Rome c. 61 A.D. Paul mentions that he was an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God. The letter is addressed to the saints in the Gentile region of Colossae. Paul mentions Christian fruits, forgiveness of sins, love, continuing in the faith, prayer, Jesus as head of the church and before all things, and we are to be part of His body. What was the "handwriting of requirements" that were "nailed to the cross" (stake) that Paul referred to? Were the Sabbath and Holy Days done away by many who rely on a mistranslation of Colossians 2:16-17? What did Herbert W. Armstrong learn about that? Should you imitate Jesus?

Job 7-9; Acts 7:44-60 [Job 7:1-21 KJV] 1 [Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth? [are not] his days also like the days of an hireling? 2 As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for [the reward of] his work: 3 So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me. 4 When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be…

The Captivity of Ephraim
1 Woe to the crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, the flower that has fallen from the glory of the top of the fertile mountain, they that are drunken without wine.
2 Behold, the anger of the Lord is strong and severe, as descending hail where there is no shelter, violently descending; as a great body of water sweeping away the soil, he shall make rest for the land.
3 The crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, shall be beaten down with the hands and with the feet.
4 And the fading flower of the glorious hope on the top of the high mountain shall be as the early fig; he that sees it, before he takes it into his hand, will desire to swallow it down.
5 In that day the Lord of hosts shall be the crown of hope, the woven crown of glory, to the remnant of the people.
6 They shall be left in the spirit of judgement for judgement, and for the strength of them that hinder slaying.
7 For these have trespassed through wine; they have erred through strong drink: the priest and the prophet are mad through strong drink, they are swallowed up by reason of wine, they have staggered through drunkenness; they have erred: this is their vision.
8 A curse shall devour this counsel, for this is their counsel for the sake of covetousness.
9 To whom have we reported evils? and to whom have we reported a message? even to those that are weaned from the milk, who are drawn from the breast.
10 Except thou affliction on affliction, hope upon hope: yet a little, and yet a little,
11 by reason of the contemptuous words of the lips, by means of another language: for they shall speak to this people, saying to them,
12 This is the rest to him that is hungry, and this is the calamity: but they would not hear.
13 Therefore the oracle of God shall be to them affliction on affliction, hope on hope, yet a little, and yet a little, that they may go and fall backward; and they shall be crushed and shall be in danger, and shall be taken.
A Cornerstone in Zion
14 Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, ye afflicted men, and ye princes of this people that is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with Hades, and agreements with death; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us: we have made falsehood our hope, and by falsehood shall we be protected:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Sion a costly stone, a choice, a corner-stone, a precious stone, for its foundations; and he that believes on him shall by no means be ashamed.
17 And I will cause judgement to be for hope, and my compassion shall be for just measures, and ye that trust vainly in falsehood shall fall: for the storm shall by no means pass by you,
18 except it also take away your covenant of death, and your trust in Hades shall by no means stand: if the rushing storm should come upon you, ye shall be beaten down by it.
19 Whenever it shall pass by, it shall take you; morning by morning it shall pass by in the day, and in the night there shall be an evil hope. Learn to hear,
20 ye that are distressed; we cannot fight, but we are ourselves too weak for you to be gathered.
21 The Lord shall rise up as a mountain of ungodly men, and shall be in the valley of Gabaon; he shall perform his works with wrath, even a work of bitterness, and his wrath shall deal strangely, and his destruction shall be strange.
22 Therefore do not ye rejoice, neither let your bands be made strong; for I have heard of works finished and cut short by the Lord of hosts, which he will execute upon all the earth.
Listen and Hear
23 Hearken, and hear my voice; attend, and hear my words.
24 Will the ploughman plough all the day? or will he prepare the seed beforehand, before he tills the ground?
25 Does he not, when he has levelled the surface thereof, then sow the small black poppy, or cumin, and afterward sow wheat, and barley, and millet, and bread-corn in thy borders?
26 So thou shalt be chastened by the judgement of thy God, and shalt rejoice.
27 For the black poppy is not cleansed with harsh treatment, nor will a wagon-wheel pass over the cumin; but the black poppy is threshed with a rod, and the cumin shall be eaten with bread;
28 for I will not be wroth with you for ever, neither shall the voice of my anger crush you.
29 And these signs came forth from the Lord of hosts. Take counsel, exalt vain comfort. — Isaiah 28 | Brenton's Septuagint Translation (BST) The English translation of The Septuagint by Sir Lancelot Charles Lee Brenton (1851) Cross References: Exodus 9:32; Leviticus 10:9; Leviticus 26:19; Numbers 7:3; Joshua 10:11; 1 Kings 3:28; 2 Kings 21:13; 2 Kings 24:2; Nehemiah 9:30; Psalm 94:10; Psalm 131:2; Proverbs 20:1; Isaiah 1:10; Isaiah 2:3; Isaiah 3:12; Isaiah 5:11; Isaiah 4:3; Isaiah 5:5; Isaiah 9:9; Isaiah 10:12; Isaiah 22:13; Isaiah 24:16; Isaiah 26:6; Isaiah 32:9; Isaiah 59:6; Jeremiah 48:26; Hosea 9:10; Micah 7:1; Matthew 11:28; Matthew 21:44; Matthew 23:23; Mark 12:20; Luke 19:41; John 5:30; Romans 11:33; 1 Corinthians 14:21; Revelation 8:7
