50/ 46/ 62 <3
thank you for the ask <33 | if you'd like to participate in the heartbeat! au OTP ask game, the full prompt is here
46. what is their favorite intimately sexual thing to do to their partner? 50. what is their favorite position with their partner? 62. who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to put some clothes on?
pairing: heartbeat! reader x heartbeat! joost content: 18+ MDNI, smut, oral (f! receiving), penetrative sex, angst mentions, not proofread
explicit RPF below! please do not interact if that makes you uncomfortable !!! 18+ MDNI
46. what is their favorite intimately sexual thing to do to their partner?
Joost's favorite thing to do is eat you out, hands down. You're stressed? He'll eat you out so you can relax. You're mad at him? Let him eat you out to show how sorry he is. You can't sleep? He'll eat you out to put you in that perfect blissful state so you can just fall right to sleep. He's just got back from tour? He's eating you out because he missed how you taste.
Truthfully, you hadn't expected him to be so into giving you head, and you much more expected for him to prefer it the other way around. When you first met- with his fluffy hair, ill fitted skinny jeans, and Supreme shirt you thought you had figured out his type, hype beast, fuck boy, who idolized american soundcloud rappers, thinking he was hot shit in his fake designer belts and unnecessarily expensive sneakers. The type of guy who fucked for his pleasure, and his pleasure alone.
How completely and utterly wrong you were. Joost had charmed you enough to let him take you out on a first date, so charming in fact, you'd end up "giving it up" on that first date. You hadn't expected to, but you couldn't resist him. You'd gone back to his place for some after dinner drinks, one thing led to another and you found yourself in his lap, lips pressed together, hungry. Until that point you had never had a make out session so intense, hands roaming each other wildly, unable to get enough of one another. Without a doubt, Joost had noticed the way you pressed your hips into his, with your skirt bunched up around your thighs, all that separated you from Joost were your panties, which had been, embarrassingly soaked for having only been making out. You were barely cognizant of the way you begged for friction against the seam of Joost's jeans, the fabric growing stiff under Joost's own rising arousal. Both of you were desperate for more, and Joost was ready to make the first move.
Joost pulled back from the kiss, lips shiny and swollen, lightly ghosting over yours as he speaks,
"Will you let me eat your pussy, schatje?" So forward. His voice is just barely above a whisper, but it's enough to hear the pure yearning he speaks with.
"Huh?" You hadn't dated around too much before Joost, but never had a man asked to eat you out on the first date, needless to say you were a little taken back.
"You can say no but-"
"Please." You cut him off ready to fully give into him.
Very soon after that Joost had been on his knees on the hardwood in front of you, head between your thighs, with your legs wrapped around his shoulders as you sit half off the couch. One hand is at your waist and with the other he uses his fingers to spread apart your folds as he laps at your cunt.
Joost was beside himself, musing with gentle mumbles about how good you tasted, about how he'd never be able to get enough of this-enough of you, his low voice sending vibrations right through your sensitive nerves.
And Joost was right, he would never get enough of you.
Post breakup, Joost doesn't eat you out as much as he'd like to, he worries its to intimate and it is.
But there are always those nights between you where it hits you just how profound your emotions towards each other are, how deeply and utterly in love you still are- and those nights Joost will find himself with his head between your thighs again.
50. what is their favorite position with their partner?
Without a DOUBT it's missionary. Call it boring, call it vanilla whatever. You two love fucking in missionary.
At first it's loving, neither of you wanting to take your eyes off each other. Joost will carry you to the bedroom, carefully placing you on the bed, hovering over you as the two of you make every soft and love felt move towards getting it on. The position allows for you to be so close to each other, Joost usually opting to fold over as much as he can, so his chest is nearly pressed against yours, his breath hot on your face and neck. Occasionally he'll pull back, watching you under him, the way your face writhes with pleasure, and you desperately grip the sheets below you. And - well, he loves watching the way your tits bounce while he fucks into you.
As your relationship progresses and tensions rise, and eventually you two break up- missionary becomes a way for you to get in one another's face while you inevitably end up "hate fucking" during an argument. Angry sex includes a lot of mocking and taunting, looking each other in the eyes, face to face as jaws clench between harsh words spat at one another. Neither of you relenting or willing to admit you're wrong. You try to remember whatever it is you're arguing about while Joost slams into you at a near brutal pace, your fingers ripping into his shoulders, sure to leave some marks for the next few days.
One of you will end up shutting the other one up with a fierce kiss, unable to stand the sound of their voice nagging and bickering any longer, wanting nothing more than to just reach your orgasm. And you will. Joost collapsing on top of you, a thick tension still lingering in the air. Aftercare is non-existent on some of those nights, the persistent anger having been unresolved by sex, leading to you wanting nothing to do with each other.
Other times, Joost will gently pull out of you, wordlessly making his way to the bathroom to get a warm washcloth before coming back to clean you up. You'll only share a few words for the rest of the night, maybe a quiet "I'm sorry" if you're lucky- but nobody needs to say it, you can feel it, the regret that fills the room, its almost suffocating. After he cleans you up Joost will join you back on the bed, pulling you to his chest, your naked bodies intertwine. He'll press a few kisses to your forehead, and you'll mumble your "I love you's" before falling asleep, hoping for a better day tomorrow.
62. who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to put some clothes on?
Reader. But truthfully neither of you wear much clothes while you're together. It's not uncommon for the two of you to spend the entire day together at home only in your underwear, being skin to skin just feels better anyways.
But in terms of actual nudity, yes, reader. Joost prefers to not be completely naked, sometimes even during sex, occasionally opting to just pull his underwear down to his thighs instead of taking them off entirely.
If you've fallen asleep after having sex, and find yourself still naked in the morning, you won't bother to find something to put on before getting up to go run and grab a cup of water in the kitchen.
Or after a shower when you don't feel like getting ready right away you'll lounge around on your phone in bed, sometimes only in your towel, sometimes in nothing at all.
Joost will jokingly chastise you for constantly being naked or minimally clothed while the two of you are together, but he never actually means it. Obviously. He's obsessed with the way you look, clothed, or unclothed, and I mean- completely enamored. And he won't ever try to hide in, shamelessly staring at you, wherever and whenever he pleases, unable to fathom you're his.
Or post break up... deeply deeply regretting you're no longer his. Sometimes he'll remember that Michael has seen you like this too, filling his body with a hot pang of jealousy. He wishes he could be the only one to witness you in such a state, but he know's he's fucked that chance up.

Hi :)
could you please write something hurt/comfort romantic with Loâak x fem!reader with prompt 62 and 73! perhaps reverse comfort with reader comforting him đ«¶đ»
prompt 62 & 73 w loâak! â
includes: fem!navi!readerxloâak. reverse comfort from reader. loâak being so utterly in love TEEHEE
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
for as long as you can remember itâs been you and loâak. you two were the bestest of friends since birth.
his parents were close with yours because neytiri knew your mom before she met jake! you were a year older than loâak. him being 14 and you being 15, the same age as his brother, neteyam. the golden child in loâakâs eyes.
you and loâak began dating a few years back. you still remember that night like it was yesterday. although you guys were still young , loâak made it a priority to make sure everything went smoothly just for you. poor boy loved you so much it was honestly kinda gross.
with all the upsides of loâak , there were a few downsides as well. his raging jealousy being the main one. for his brother specifically. loâak always envied his eldest brother. he was constantly being overshadowed by him, constantly getting into trouble but it just seemed like neteyam could do no wrong. this infuriated loâak. like now, the brothers (mostly loâak were being scolded by jake for a simple mistake) they werenât back by their curfews.
of course neteyam tried to take the heat for his brother but as always, jake assumed it was loâaks doing. after jake dismissed the boys, neteyam attempted to put his hand on his brothers shoulder, loâak shook him off with a cold glare before venturing into the forest to cool his mind and body. the whole time he couldnât think of anyone but you. how much he wanted even a simple hug from you to make this all better.
just his luck, you were sitting on a rock, dipping your feet into the nearby river, looking like the most beautiful girl in the world to him. your ears twitched at the sound of a branch snapping, immediately reaching towards the knife on your thigh, but when you heard your boyfriends small âitâs just meâ you quickly softened and got up, greeting your boyfriend with a hug. the boy immediately melted into your touch and shoved his head into your neck, tears beginning to well at his eyes.
you noticed that something was off immediately with him. with a sad smile you held his face in your hands and tilted your head âloâak? whatâs the matter love?â with those words loâak began to cry harder. he didnât know what it was but your motherly nature warmed his heart. he loved you beyond words can compare.
the boy hates crying. especially infront of you. but in that moment he felt so overwhelmed that he had to. he just needed to cry.
you led loâak over to a nearby rock as he explained what happened, his voice sounded so broken and hurt. it broke your heart to pieces.
âiâm sorry im crying a lot, you donât need to stay iâll be okay.â
âno loâak, itâs okay to cry. iâll be here for you. i love you okay?â
with a sad smile he brought you into a hug and kissed you all over your face. âi love you so muchâ he smiled, laying his head in your lap and asking you to talk about your day.
he know things wonât change at home. but for now;
youâre his home.

2021 FARC Bummin' Beaver Brewery Tornado Alley Tour - Race 4 - LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway
Welcome to FARC Racing coverage on this blog. I hope you enjoy this little experiment. Beware, spoilers below.
Taylor Brillon won the 75 lap FARC Bummin' Beaver Tornado Alley Tour late model feature at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin. It is the first victory of the year for her and the No. 9 Arnie Pine Racing team, and her first late model win since Waterbury Park in 2019.
This race flew by uninterruped by cautions, a surprising achievement for the series.
Cody Lewis drove his Basscadet machine to a second consecutive pole with Brillon on his outside. Lewis made a clean getaway at the start as FARC legend Andy Pearson followed him under the 9 into second place, making a special appearance in his Bald Tire Brewing No. 2 in a cheeky flex on the series sponsor.
You can't win the race on the first lap, but the winning move was made on lap 3, when Brillon got by Pearson for second and started chasing Lewis. Meanwhile, Art Gordon was existing in his No. 49, running lap times two seconds slower than the leaders.
Cody Lewis seemed to enjoy his time behind Art Gordon, as he dropped to fifth. He would eventually recover and claw his way back to third.
Meanwhile, Brillon led with Pearson in tow. They were kept close in part by regular encounters with lapped traffic, filling the scoreboard with more and more negative numbers as the green flag continued to enjoy the sunshine.
The former Lowe Dollar Series regulars enjoyed a smart yet spirited battle, but Brillon held Pearson off the rest of the way. Pearson's best chance came in turn 2 on lap 62, when he caught Brillon sliding high. However, the 40-year veteran lacked momentum out of the corner, allowing Brillon to shut the door in turn 3.
Andy Pearson may be FARC's most accomplished driver, with 4 Lowe Dollar Series titles, and later two more in the Super Series late models where he continues to race regularly, but he is also 65 years old, and 75 laps is a lot of laps to race consecutively at his age.
Taylor Brillon inched away and cruised to the win, lapping everybody up to 10th. The last victims of car 9 were reigning and final FARC Truck Series champion Eddie Vero, who finished 11th, and her teammate and father Kenny Brillon for a second time. "I don't know how we held him off." Brillon said of Pearson's chase after climbing out of her bright yellow Arnie Pine Auto Sales machine. "It ain't every day you've got the Goat honking at you. If he got me there [on lap 62] I knew it was gonna be over."
Gordon Tanner (No. 26) and Mindy Gunn (No. 35) entered this race tied for the points lead, with the tiebreaker going to Tanner for his two victories at Ishpeming and Quincy against Gunn's lone win, coming last week at Grundy County Speedway. After 75 laps, Tanner crossed the line in fifth, four seconds ahead of Gunn, giving him the championship lead by two points over Gunn.
Preston Orchard-Park (No. 85) was the only casualty of the 23-car starting field, losing his engine on lap 8 and finishing last.
The last time Kevin Monroe stepped into a FARC car, he went upside down on the first lap at Road America in 2019. The M&J Racing boss was thankful for bringing the Jeb Klinger Special home eighth in his first outing with the Klinger family. "The only thing Zeb [Klinger, car owner] asked for was no acrobatics." Monroe said with a smile. "So I think today was a success." Monroe qualified ninth and found himself dueling with Caitlin Cook, Tyler Bridgette, and former M&J coworker Eddie Vero for a bulk of the race, ultimately finishing one spot better than he started. Monroe will return with the Klinger family at the season-ending Rockford 200.
The next round for the Tornado Alley Tour will be the 72-lap support race at Minnesota Motorsports Park, a wide and fast one mile oval that is expected to produce pack racing for the late models.

2023 Bahamas Cruise, Part 22. April. 26 Rake ânâ Scrape, Cleaning graves finding a cave. New Bight.
Bo-Hog and the Rooters do an impromptu gig. On the Accordion is Bo Hog himself, Alfred âPompeyâ Johnson. On the drum is Duke Moss owner of Dukes Conch stand, where this happened. On the right is Ishmael, he is playing the hand saw.
The drum is home made. It is heated over a stove to tighten the drum skin just before playing. So beware putting it on your lap. The handle of the saw is placed at the hip and the tip is held with one hand. By flexing the saw and raking the saw with a large screwdriver different tones can be made. Ishmael spent 40 years off the island but came back 9 years ago. Now he farms his back yard and does a/c repair. Great guy to talk with. There were 9 of us cruisers from 4 boats enjoying the music. Nancy passed the tip container around at the end of the set. She gathered up $62 for the band.
Pompey said he needed help the next day clearing brush around his ancestors graves. So Nancy and I volunteered to help him. We walked down to Henry Hawkins Armbrister plantations Great house, built around 1760. There was a slave uprising here and âPompeysâ ancestors burned the house down.
Henry was a revolutionary Loyalist living in Georgia and of Scottish descent. When he left for the Bahamas to resettle taking his slaves with him.
Interesting to note. No rebar in the old houses. New houses have rebar that spalds and breaks the houses down. The old tabby houses will still be standing when most of these new building fall down in the future.
This is âPompeyâ showing us the old great house. He is carrying a machete for clearing the graves. He finally walks us about 500 ft. up hill. Then out through a winding foot path in the scrub brush. There are three graves down in a natural pit about 3 ft. deep. Two are of adults and one is a baby. No grave markers.
This was the most prominent grave. Standing about 3 ft. tall with a coat of concrete on the outside. Around the back a gaping hole was in the side of the grave.
The next grave is wider but level and low. The third grave was the size of a baby and had only the outline at ground level. You can see it at Nancyâs feet.
Just east of the graves is a natural bridge about 3 ft. above the pit. Mosquitoes were fierce, so we only chopped down a few small trees. The slave graves commonly had trees planted on top of the grave. Not that we saw planted trees here, these seemed wild.
At the Hermitage there was supposed to be a cave that the Hermit used. We knew where a trail led off the road and wanted to go check it out. âPompeyâ said his family used to gather sheep into the cave every night. So we found a small cave 5 minutes down the trail.
âPompeyâ said his ancestors had sold several acres to the hermit for his Hermitage. Legend has it, that the Bahama Government gave the land to Father Jerome for his service. He actually bought 8 acres on top of Como Hill from the locals. Probably âPompeysâ people. Before Father Jerome died he gave the land to the Catholic church. The Hermitage is actually well maintained. After reading the book written about him, there is a much larger cave in the hill just below the Hermitage. By his Last Will and Testament, he is buried in that cave facing east with his arms outstretched. It has a wooden gate across the door. Father Jerome died on June 26, 1956.
This is the cave Father Jerome is buried in. Winds are due to shift out of the south and pick up. So it is time to pull anchorâŠâŠ
âPompeyâ is adamant that we must have one more beer with him before we go. Nancy is crushed between Crystal on her right side and CD on her left side. CD owns the Fish Fry shack where we ate the Cracked Conch. She also plays the drum for Bo Hog if she is not cooking.
Two degrees of separation on Cat Island. We were telling them about our trip to Port Howe and meeting Prince Hunter. Turns out Prince is CDâs father. While we are discussing this. âPompeyâ points at the woman sitting near us and says, âThats Princeâs wifeâ. She corrected him quickly, saying they were divorced!
Cat Island is the only out island that ever had a train. Off of Tucker point, south of New Bight are the last iron rails left. The rest of the track was removed for scape iron during WW2 and shipped to England. This train carried sisal and cotton down to the waiting boats tied to the shore.
Sea Breeze, New Bight, Cat Island, Bahama

Bautista kickstarts title defence with flawless weekend in Australia
The Champion scores Phillip Islandâs hat-trick with Rea eighth and Razgatlioglu out in Race 2. With three wins out of three at Phillip Island, Bautista became the first ever WorldSBK rider to score two hat-trick at one track following his 2019 triple. It was also his eighth win at âThe Islandâ, making him the most successful rider at the circuit. It was a Ducati 1-2 in Race 2 as Michael Ruben Rinaldi claimed second place, finishing 6.191s behind his teammate and taking his second podium of Sunday after having finished second in the Tissot Superpole Race. Andrea Locatelli was the lead Yamaha rider as he took third position in Race 2, claiming his first podium of 2023. His three top-five results from Australia mean he is second in the Ridersâ Championship after the opening round. Rea finished in eighth place, 14.753s behind the race winner, while Toprak Razgatlioglu retired from the race following an incident at Turn 4 on Lap 17 with Alex Lowes. They stand respectively in third and sixth place in the Championship standings. Phillip Oettl (Team GoEleven) was fifth as the German rider claimed his best WorldSBK results in his second season in the class. There was drama through Race 2 in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship during the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round at the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit as Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing â Ducati) made history with his fifth WorldSBK hat-trick ahead of his teammate, while Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK Team) could only manage eighth place as Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) didnât score points in Race 2.
Reigning Champion Bautista led from the start and he was able to bring teammate Michael Ruben Rinaldi with him in the early stages of the 22-lap encounter with the pair separated by less than a second for the first few laps, before Bautista started pulling a gap to his teammate to win by more than six seconds ahead of his teammate for the second Ducati 1-2 of the day in WorldSBK following their Tissot Superpole Result. Behind the two Ducati riders, Andrea Locatelli (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) claimed his first podium of the season with third place after taking third spot which he claimed from the start of the race as the Italian pulled away from the chasing group. The battle behind the podium trio was a 22-lap affair with Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing) holding on for fourth after starting from ninth on the grid as he fended off a late challenge from Philipp Oettl (Team GoEleven) in fifth. Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) was able to fight his way up to sixth place behind Oettl and Bassani. Australian Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) ended the race in tenth despite a Long Lap Penalty for irresponsible riding in the Tissot Superpole Race after a crash with teammate Aegerter. The 2022 WorldSBK Champion leaves Phillip Island as the Championship leader with a 28-point advantage over second-placed Andrea Locatelli.

P1 | | Alvaro Bautista | Aruba.it Racing - Ducati âI think itâs the best way to start the season. Iâm happy because we were quite competitive in all three races with three different situations. Yesterday with the rain we were quick, and we could win the race. Today, in the morning, with not cold conditions but cooler than in the afternoon and the soft compound and with everybody pushing, we were competitive as well. In the afternoon, it was totally different. The track was hotter, and we had the hard compound on the rear. Iâm happy because I can manage and adapt to the new situation, and I can be very consistent with my lap times. The feeling with the bike has been amazing this weekend in all conditions. Now, we have to enjoy the moment and just try to keep this feeling for the next one.â
P8 | Jonathan Rea | Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK âIn Race 2, I saw Locatelli up the road, and I thought, âheâs my guyâ as he has good pace this week. I got to the front of the group and âLokaâ was in front and he was just going away! I realised that I was just fighting with this group and then all of a sudden, bang, I had no grip whatsoever. I was really conserving my tyre, using short lines and picking the bike up, not smashing into the traction control. We just need to put our heads together and understand why because a few months ago, I was able to compete and be much faster in the race for a longer distance. Itâs a bit of a head scratcher to be honest. I donât think this result reflects the true reality of where we are; I felt like in the off-season, weâve really improved the bike, but it is true, a bad day right now in WorldSBK and you have to fight for these positions. We have to make sure we donât suffer too many bad days from now on.â âItâs tough, Iâm not going to lie. When we have grip, we can make the difference; the rider can bite the screen a bit harder and take liberties. I felt like at Turn 1 today, I left nothing unturned every lap and that was just to be there. You canât do that for 22 laps of a race here when you have to look after the tyre. I have to take some responsibility as well as my crew, as I have directed the setup this week and itâs clear that we didnât get it bang on. We have to look ourselves as well. I really feel that whilst the competition is strong, the bike is much better than we showed this weekend.â DNF | Toprak Razgatlioglu | Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK âI was waiting until the last laps for the fight. I was trying to follow and tried to keep the rear tyre because, in the first laps, I felt no grip. This morning with the SC0 tyre Iâm happier because the bike worked really well. In the afternoon, we used the hard tyre and the bike completely changed. We crashed with Alex. This was very bad luck. This is just the first round of the season, there are many races to go. I hope we are coming back again. It was a small crash, Iâm okay. He crashed alone. We used different lines. For me, it was bad luck because I was on the outside and we crashed together.â For more info checkout our dedicated World Superbike News page World Superbike News Or visit the official World Superbike website WorldSBK.com Read the full article

Curse of the Clan part 62! @selfindulgenz @scentedcandlecryptid
Just as they had promised, the Titans emerged from the Hidden City after the battle to repair what Krang had destroyed. Buildings that had been flattened to little more than pebbles were up again in hours with the combined strength of all three ancient yokai; the Hamato clan stayed to watch them work with invested interest. The suits is the Council suits were much like Krangâs, with their own unique patterns and designs, but no less impressive than the younger primeâs had been.
âWooooow!â Michelangelo gave a cheerful whistle, âGuess the New Yorkers will be back in no time!â
Splinter mused with a soft disagreement. âI think it may be a while before then, MichelangeloâŠâ
âSo⊠what are we meant to do in the meantime with everyone gone?â Leonardo asked, âI mean, thereâs one to protectâŠâ
âThe first thing we should do is go home and rest up.â Raphael decided, turning to his clan, âYou all did good back there and deserve a break. Some good food, some rest. We figure this all out in a few hours.â
The rest of the group muttered their agreement, and once Raphael was sure they were all on the same page he led them home. The path to the nearest manhole took them right past the utrom council, still hard at work, and right past the form of Krang frozen in cryogenic ice.
***
The past three weeks had felt like one sleepless, unending nightmare to the softshell Donatello. He had indulged his clan enough to eat his dinner with them, though in complete silence, and wasted what remained of his mental charge to wash his face; he didn't have the energy for a full bath, but it was better than nothing. Now he just wanted to fall into the soft embrace of his bed and never wake up. Fate had other plans for him as he opened the door to his room and found Michelangelo sitting there on his bed. Donatello was confused; Michelangelo was in a neat tux with glasses perched on the bridge of his nose, his mask moved to be more like a bow around his head instead of a bandana.
âMikeyâŠ?â Donatello said slowly then, in the same breath, âNot Mikey.â
âDonald.â Said Doctor Feelings, patting the bed at her side. âSit with me.â
âSureâŠâ Donatello didn't have the capacity to argue and his bed was practically calling his name. He sat beside his sister and sighed as he sank into the welcoming touch of the memory foam.
His eyes searched down to the massive stack of papers that Feelings held on her lap; he didn't get to read more than a few words before Feelings shifted to keep her pages a secret, smiling all the while. Donatello huffed, but accepted the refusal and made no further attempts.
Feelingâs cleared her throat. âIâve been working on a treatment plan and want to discuss it with you.â
âTreatment plan?â Donatello scoffed with a wrinkled nose, and when he crossed his arms, Feelings copied the gesture.
âYes.â Feelings said, âI have a plan for a mix of EMDR and CPT to help you process the trauma, with two sessions every week for twenty weeks. Each session will take 45 minutes to an hour to complete, but healing isnât linear so we may have to adjust once we have a better feel for your pacing.â
Feelings was talking faster than Donatelloâs exhausted brain could keep up, but still he nodded along out of habit and pretended he didn't miss every other word or two.
âThe EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, will focus on changing the emotions, thoughts, and behavior resulting from the distressing issue and allow you to heal in a steady and pressing manner to help you overcome the trauma received in a way most fitting to you, while the CPT, or Cognitive Processing Therapy, will help you to challenge and modify unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma.â
âWoah woah woah, slow down!â Donatello said finally, shaking his head and giving a nervous laugh, âWhenâd you find the time to do all this? That has to be at least a hundred pages long!â
âA hundred and sixty two pages to be precise.â Feelings nodded, âAnd Michelangelo did it while we were waiting for Krang!â
âThat⊠wasnât a very long wait.â
âI know. Michelangelo has fast fingers.â Feelings waved her fingers for show, âGood for typing.â
âI⊠okay.â
Feeling started to hum as she crossed her legs and took off her glasses, folding them and setting them in her lap.
âNow: We can either start the sessions this Sunday or next thursday. I already got the go ahead from Raphael to⊠well⊠go ahead!â She giggled and covered her mouth, âAlso, Raphael has requested to see you as soon as possible to work out a new training regime and chore schedule to work around your trauma so as to not overwhelm you.â
Donatello frowned. âI⊠do I have to? I⊠I mean, getting outta laundry duty sounds great, but donât wanna stop training!â
âThat is why Raphael wants to discuss it so the two of you can come to terms that suit you both. Soooo⊠Sunday or Thursday?â
âSunday.â Donatello decided after a moments thought.
âGreat!â Feelings marked something down in her chart with a clicking swipe of her pen before replacing her glasses and standing up, tucking her papers tight against her plastron. âThat is all I needed for now. Please try to get some rest; if you canât, then know your family is just a call away!â
âWait!â Donatello called, reaching out to Feelings before she could leave. âCan you ask Leo to come see me please?â
Feelings smiled. âIâll send him right in.â
Feelings wasnât lying; hardly a minute had passed before there came a gentle knock on Donatelloâs door, followed by Leonardo slowly creaking it open. It was so different to the sliderâs usual barging in that Donatello almost believed for a second that the mutant before him wasnât his brother. Leonardo sat on the bed beside Donatello, slumping almost immediately and giving his brother a gentle smile.
âWhatâs up, Don?â
Donatello took a deep breath and explained the tail end of what Feelings had told him. âI⊠Iâm scared Raph isnât gonna want me on the team anymoreâŠâ
âHey hey hey, thatâs not true DeeâŠâ Leonardo rested a hand on his brotherâs soft shell, fingers carefully massaging the delicate flesh and the plates beneath, âAnd if he tries to pull that stunt, then Iâll be the first to boycott his training until he lets you back in. Weâre a team, bro! And a team weâll stay.â When Donatello still seemed hesitant to accept the confidence radiating from his brother, Leonardo said, âCan I give you a hug hermano?â
Donatello winced. He could imagine those tentacles around him, squeezing and crushing bone and flesh. âI⊠would rather you not. Can you just⊠sit here with me while I sleep? So Iâm not aloneâŠâ
Donatello felt dumb asking such a silly, childish question. He was almost sixteen, he shouldnât need Leonardo there with him just so he could sleep without nightmares!
âIâll be right here as long as you need me.â Leonardo said without judgement.
Donatello practially fell apart into sobs. âThank you LeoâŠâ

hi! can I req vil with no. 2 from smothering list? I just think that his costume fits that one really well! thx before
(Youâre very right this prompt matches the vampy boi to a Tee!) 2. âWhat do you mean it hurts? If it hurts, itâs because youâre struggling!â (Yandere! Vil Schoenheit x Fem! S/o)
The noise of the party was making (Y/n)âs head hurt. She didn't know why she had let her friends convince her to come with them in the first place. Crowded spaces, loud music, and lots of people all made for her worst nightmare. She stumbled around the edge of the room looking for somewhere, anywhere to sit down. Eventually, with a defeated sigh she made do with leaning against the wall and sliding down into a slump against the cool tile.
âWell, what do we have here? Do my eyes deceive me or is there a wilting rose against this wall?â a smooth male voice said, causing (Y/n) to lift her head to see who was speaking. The man before her was like none sheâd ever seen before. So beautiful, so poised, everything about him just oozed sophistication. She stared at him dumbly for a long moment before she realized heâd been speaking to her. âNah, Iâm no rose. Wilting or otherwise but I appreciate the complimentâ (Y/n) said with a weak laugh at the young man. âSo do you use that line on all the girls you find slumped over against the wall at a party or am I just special?â she asked with another weak laugh. Really she just wanted to be left alone but she couldn't force herself to be rude to this pretty stranger no matter how hard she tried. âPlease do not get the wrong idea, I am not one for idle flattery. When I give a compliment it is only because it is the truth that must be saidâ the stranger said suddenly dropping into a crotch before (Y/n) as he smiled toothily at her. If she wasn't suffering from how overwhelming everything at the party was she might have taken notice of how unnaturally pointy the young manâs canine teeth were. âWell sorry to disappoint you, but whatever youâre trying to do Iâm not interested. I just want to find my friends and go home so i can sleep this awful party offâ (Y/n) said with a shrug. âIâm sure there are plenty of other girls here you could work your magic on thatâd be happy for the attention from a hottie like youâ she added, the last part slipping out of her lips before she could stop it and getting her a chuckle from the stranger. âWell why don't I help you find your friends then?â the young man said grabbing (Y/n)âs wrists and pulling her to her feet as he also stood up. âNo point arguing with me, I can't in good conscience leave such a pretty maiden to fend for herselfâ he declared firmly before she could open her mouth to protest. âBy the way, I didnât catch your name beforeâ the stranger added as they began walking around the party looking for (Y/n)âs friends. âI didnât give it to you, besides isn't it polite to give your own name before asking other people their names?â (Y/n) said sharply and received a light squeeze from the young man as he held her arm in his. â(Y/n), my nameâs (Y/n). Now it's only fair that you tell me your name as well. I don't want my friends asking me about you later and only having cute blonde guy as my answer to themâ she added reluctantly after a few moments of silence.
â(Y/n) what a pretty name for a pretty girl. As you said it is only fair that I give you my name in returnâ the stranger said coming to a sudden stop and cupping a hand to (Y/n)âs ear. âI am called Vil Schoenheitâ he whispered before dropping his hand and resumed guiding the girl around the room as they continued the search for her missing friends. They didnât have any luck, and eventually (Y/n) let out a sigh. âThey must have gone home without me, damnâ (Y/n) said with a huff of annoyance. âThey were my ride home from this place, now Iâll have to get an uber or somethingâ she went on pulling out her phone from her purse only to find it dead as a doornail. âThat's weird, I could have sworn it was at 62% when we left for this partyâ she added after a moment feeling her stomach twisting anxiously. âI can take you home, fortunately I brought my own transportation to this eventâ Vil said with a grin. âDonât try to make excuses, I don't mind helping out a pretty girl like youâ he added once again, preventing (Y/n) from getting a chance to protest the decision he made. The girl reluctantly let herself be led outside into the back of a fancy looking car where Vil joined her after speaking to someone upfront for a moment. The car revved soft as it shifted into motion. (Y/n) felt her stomach twisting even tighter than before. The back seat was dark and she had no idea how close Vil was sitting to her until his arms were around her waist and he was pulling her into his lap. She tried to struggle against him, but his arms were like iron bars and she quickly ran out of energy to fight the position sheâd been forced into. âYouâre very pretty you know, and you smell deliciousâ Vil said in a low voice, his breath making the hair on the back of (Y/n)âs neck stand up. âSo delicious, like a dash of confectionerâs sugar on a cookieâ he added his teeth pressing lightly on the nape of the girlâs neck almost puncturing the flesh but not quite yet. Vil wanted to savor the moment, this delicate moment before he feasted on this foolish girlâs blood. Finally, he could wait no longer and dug in, drinking greedily.
(Y/n)âs neck felt like it was on fire, pain coursing through her system like a bolt of lightning as Vil consumed her blood as if he were enjoying a glass of fine wine. She tried to pull his arms off of her waist but if she had been weak before, the lack of blood made her as strong as a newborn baby. âPlease, please it hurts! Please stop! It hurts so muchâ she begged pitifully still trying to get free of the vampireâs hold. âWhat do you mean it hurts?â Vil said softly, pulling away from her neck for a moment to lick over the puncture wounds heâd made with his fangs. âIf it hurts, itâs because youâre struggling. If youâd just hold still like a good girl perhaps it wouldnât hurt as muchâ he scolded before digging his fangs into the crook of her neck now. (Y/n) went limp, giving up the fight, and was rewarded with a hand being run gently through her hair. The petting helped take her mind of the biting and bloodsucking. It didn't get rid of the intense pain by any stretch of the imagination, but it was something pleasant she could focus on instead to help distract herself from the horrifying experience. Eventually, Vil was satisfied and pulled away from her neck again but did not stop petting her hair as he began peppering kisses across the uninjured side of her neck. âThere, there you did a good job (Y/n). A very good job indeed, if your blood wasn't so divine I might be tempted to let you go as a reward for being so compliant. However, I think I will be keeping you on as my new bloodbagâ Vil said softly nuzzling (Y/n)âs collarbone and sighing contentedly. âAs my bloodbag youâll be at my beck and call, if you try to fight me I will be forced to punish youâ he added with a dangerous ring to his voice. âIn return for performing this service to me, you will be well cared for at my mansion and never want for anything ever again. Do I make myself totally clear?â Vil said curtly as he wound his fingers tightly into (Y/n)âs hair as she weakly nodded her consent to the arrangement. âGood we should be home in a little while, you may sleep until we get there if you so wishâ he added softly. (Y/n) let her eyes fall shut, sheâd deal with this supernatural mess after she got some sleepâŠ

Of Numbers and Strange Friendships
TITLE: Of Numbers and Strange Friendships CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 62/?
AUTHOR:Â nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE:Â Imagine Loki being friends with Peter Parker RATING: T
NOTES/WARNINGS: None so far. Â Also on AO3Â here
The brothers landed outside the tower.  Unfortunately, the Bifrost never had the ability to set someone down gently.  So Lokiâs knees jarred as he landed hard.  Thorâs grip on his arm steadied him as he regained his balance.  He nodded a silent thanks to his brother for his help and support.Â
Thor nodded back, and Loki noted that his brother was on alert for danger.  He saw Loki as injured, which he admittedly was, and was taking up the protective position.  Thor spotted something and his grip on Lokiâs arm changed.  He pulled Loki closer, shifting their positions so Loki was on his other side.  Loki saw why immediately, the press had spotted the Bifrost lights and were coming to get a glimpse of the Asgardians, of the Avengers.  Thor and Loki both didnât want them seeing Lokiâs mouth sewn shut.  âCan you get us inside?â Thor didnât think Loki had enough ability at the moment to teleport them.Â
Loki shook his head.  Under normal circumstances, teleporting that far would be no trouble, but his mind and magic were muddled with pain and healing drugs.  He couldnât safely teleport them.  He could and did summon a hooded cloak over his shoulders and pulled the hood up to hide his face.
âThat isnât suspicious at all,â Thor said dryly.  Loki rolled his eyes and elbowed him hard in the ribs, which made Thor chuckle.  Some things about his brother hadnât changed at all.  At least he hadnât gotten stabbed for annoying Loki.  âLetâs get inside,â he said and led Loki into the tower, keeping himself between Loki and the press so the press couldnât bother his brother, couldnât find out about the stitches in Lokiâs lips.  None of them wanted to explain that to anyone, but especially not the leeches who were the press.
Once they made it through the front door of the tower, they were safe.  Or safe enough.  The press couldnât come in, the security and receptionist would make sure of it.  The brothers strode past the security, Thor and Mjolnir getting them passed without Loki even having to lower his hood.  Loki finally lowered the hood again when they entered the private elevator that took them up to the common room.Â
âEverything will be alright, brother.  Iâll make sure of it, I swear it to you,â Thor reassured him.  Loki heard that there was more behind the words, more than just this immediate situation.  Thor was going to go back and deal with Odin for this atrocity.Â
He just wanted Loki safe before he did.  He wouldnât risk his little brother.  Not again.
Loki laid his head on Thorâs shoulder and purred softly, accepting the reassurance that Thor gave him.  Thor pulled him closer, though was careful not to squish Loki and upset him.  âIâve missed you purring.  You used to all the time when we were children, before you realized that it made you different.  I was sad when it vanished, though, as I could always tell when you were happy when you would purr,â Thor explained, his arm around Lokiâs shoulders.  He then considered.  âYouâve truly been unhappy all that time,â he said softly, as the realization truly dawned on him.  âWhen we grew apart, when you were in my shadow, when father gave me undue praise and gave you nothing. Thatâs when you stopped purring, thatâs when you stopped letting all of us but Mother in,â he said, horrified that Loki had truly been so unhappy all of those centuries.  Loki didnât answer, but his slightly bowed head was answer enough.  âI wonât let you feel like that again,â Thor swore to him.
Loki nodded, hearing the truth in Thorâs words.  Thor would keep his oath, no matter what it took.Â
Thorâs grip remained firm around Lokiâs shoulders as the pair walked out of the elevator and into the common room.  The entire team was there, clearly waiting for the brothers.  It was just as clear that theyâd gotten some of the story from Peter and Tony.  Peter was pacing anxiously for the brothers to get back and Loki could see clearly that heâd hated being sent home early, hated not staying behind to help.Â
Peter whirled to the elevator when he heard the doors open.  He ran over to Loki, worry rolling off of him in waves. âLoki! We were so worried, we thought you were getting punished and-â he stopped short when he finally looked up into Lokiâs eyes when he finally registered the thick black thread through Lokiâs lips. âLoki-? How-? What-?â He asked, flabbergasted and stunned.
Loki stiffened, afraid of the rejection, afraid of more pain.
âI will explain what happened.  Right now, Loki needs to get off of his feet, spider child,â Thor told the teen gently.Â
Peter blinked and took a minute longer than he would have liked to process those words.  Then he took Lokiâs hand to drag him to the couch.  âOf course, câmon witch,â he said, his usual self, despite that he was stronger, warmer, more solid, and now Asgardian.  The change was subtle if you werenât looking for it, but Loki was, and noticed the change in his blood brother.  Knew the apple would keep slowly changing Peter as it fully took effect.Â
For now, it was enough that Peter was alive.
Loki let himself be led to his favorite couch and sat next to Peter.  Thor sat on his other side.  Wanda moved to curl up in the closest chair to them, worried over Loki as well.  The entire team was filled with horror and disgust over what happened.Â
âWhat happened after we left?â Stark demanded.  Even though he and Loki didnât usually see eye to eye, he couldnât stand the thought of Loki being tortured like this.  Not for the crime of saving Peterâs life.Â
Loki squeezed Peterâs hand while Thor started to talk.  He as glad Thor was taking the lead and explaining things to the team.  He couldnât exactly do it at the moment.  The horror and outrage in the room only grew as Thor told the team what happened.Â
Peter was still beside Loki and Loki could feel his rage.  Peter had learned to hate.Â
It was a lesson Loki had never wanted Peter to learn.  And one he needed to nip in the bud now.  He squeezed Peterâs hand again to get his attention.  Peter looked up into his eyes, anger, pain, rage in his eyes.Â
Lokiâs lips twitched up into a smile to reassure his friend, his blood brother.  It was a pathetic attempt at a smile, but the reassurance was there.  Loki would be ok.  Loki would heal.  Peter was alive.  Thor would take care of Odin.Â
Everything would be alright.Â
Peter squeezed his hand.  âWhatâs the number, witch?â He asked, trying to keep his voice strong, trying to keep himself strong.  Loki could see it in his eyes.Â
He nodded with that same tiny smile and squeezed Peterâs hand again before he dropped it to hold up his fingers.  He held up six of them.  Loki wasnât exactly having a good day.
Peter frowned.  He considered and rummaged in the drawer next to the couch for a pen and a piece of paper.  âHow can I help?â He asked as he handed the items over for Loki.
âI just need restâ Loki wrote in his elegant scholarâs script.Â
Peter nodded. âDo you want to keep listening to Thor?â He asked softly.  Loki nodded and let Peter pull him down so his head was on Peterâs lap, his feet in Thorâs. He didnât know or care where his shoes had gone.  The next moment, Peter was petting his hair and Thor was rubbing his feet.  It didnât erase the pain in his lips, but it did feel nice.Â
Soon Loki was purring for them, relaxed and safe with his brothers.Â
Peter gasped at the sound.  âYou can purr!â He exclaimed, amazed, and in awe.  It seemed to him that Loki was a giant cat, which was wonderful and perfect in Peterâs eyes.  Loki stiffened and immediately stopped purring, knowing it was strange. Asgardians and humans couldnât do it.  Not like that. âNo! Please donât stop, I love it!â Peter exclaimed.
Loki looked up at him, a question in his eyes.  Peter went back to petting his hair gently.  âYes, I mean it.  You could tell if I lied.  You are the god of them after all,â he teased fondly.
Loki laid his head back on Peterâs legs to let the teen pet him.  It felt good and he could forget about his pain while Thor droned on about what had happened.
Something teased Lokiâs senses while he was half dozing.  He couldnât quite place what it was, so he extended his magical senses, trying to figure it out.Â
/Loki??/ he heard the voice in his mind.  That wasnât strange in and of itself.  Loki was a telepath.  So was Wanda.  Those two were always speaking telepathically.  Though this voice wasnât Wandaâs.  It was male.Â
Loki also realized that he wasnât just overhearing a stray thought, which was also known to happen especially around untrained mortals.  He usually tuned those out.Â
No, this was something different.
Loki jolted up when he realized what it was and looked to Peter.  /You hear me?/ he asked Peter, speaking magic to magic.
Peter lit up in delight, clearly having heard Loki.  The discarded pen on the table started to float with a few other odds and ends nearby.  Peterâs eyes widened.  âI-Iâm doing this?â He asked as he looked around in awe, seemed to see the shimmer of gold magic between him and the floating items.
There was no denying it.  Peter had gotten Asgardian magic in the transformation.
All Loki could do was nod.  It looked like heâd just acquired another student.

No, not ominous at all...
Before the start of the Daytona 500, and thus the launch of the NASCAR Xfinity Cup season, President Trump, this yearâs Grand Marshall and very much in friendly territory, completed a ceremonial lap around the track in the limo nicknamed âThe Beastâ before the green flag dropped while thousands cheered. So far, so good.
And then this happened:
The first delay of the day came moments after the presidential motorcade completed a ceremonial parade lap around the 2 1/2-mile track. Trumpâs armored limousine nicknamed âThe Beast" exited Daytona International Speedway, and the sky opened for a brief shower that forced drivers back to pit road.
The start already had been pushed back 13 minutes to accommodate Trumpâs trip. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. eventually led the field to the green flag and was out front for the first 20 laps before heavier rain soaked a racing surface that takes hours to dry.
NASCAR called drivers back to their cars around 6:40 p.m. EST, hoping to get more laps in before more showers hit again. Some drivers showed, but the heaviest rain of the day forced a postponement.
Now Iâm not one to look for omens, except in a sort of Internet smart-ass sort of way, but Trumpâs visit just happened to be to the second Daytona 500 in the raceâs 62-year history where the finish was postponed until the following day. And again, the weather situation fell apart moments after Trump left.
At the very least itâs a day worth remembering, just in case you need some ready-made symbolism to describe things going south later on in the year. Keep it in your hip pocket.

Fran Drescher, Millennial Whisperer â The New York Times
Fran Drescherâs voice, if you ever have the chance to hear it deployed in very close vicinity over shrimp tempura and spicy tuna sushi, is actually quite soothing.
When Drescher played Fran Fine on âThe Nanny,â the 1990s sitcom she created with her then-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, she was pitching her voice higher, squeezing it up her nose, acting. Back then, The New York Times compared Drescher to âthe sound of a Buick with an empty gas tank cold-cranking on a winter morning.â But here in her living room above Central Park, sitting among crystals, fresh lemons, fine sculpture and photographs of herself meeting establishment Democrats, she sounds more like a Mercedes purring out of the Long Island Expressway. For those who grew up with âThe Nannyâ as our nanny, her voice is so embedded in the subconscious that hearing the softened version is almost therapeutic. Imagine if Nanny Fine had an ASMR setting.
âIâve heard itâs like a foghorn, a cackle,â Drescher said carefully, balancing her plate in the lap of her little black dress. âI always just describe myself as having a unique voice.â When she left Queens for Hollywood in the late 1970s, her manager told her, âIf you want to play other parts, besides hookers, youâre going to have to learn to speak differently,â she recalled. Instead Drescher leaned into her natural gifts. In 1992, she pitched herself as a sitcom star to the president of CBS: âBecause of the voice, they think Iâm the seasoning in the show,â she told him. âThatâs wrong. Iâm a main course.â
America has not heard from Drescher much lately â she has not appeared regularly on television since her TV Land sitcom âHappily Divorcedâ ended in 2013, and âThe Nannyâ is sadly hard to stream â but this week, at 62, she returns to TV with NBCâs âIndebted.â As in the pilot of âThe Nanny,â Drescher appears unexpectedly on a doorstep, except this time, it belongs to her adult son (Adam Pally). She and Steven Weber play Debbie and Stew Klein, a couple of boomer dilettantes who crash their kidâs married life with the news that theyâre in debt. The role of Debbie, a boundaryless hugger who swans around her sonâs suburban home as if itâs her own personal retirement community, inverts the âNannyâ dynamic: Now the kids have to take care of her.
When Drescher weighed whether to take on the show, a family sitcom that draws on generational conflict, she thought of her own family. âMy parents, who are still alive, thank God, were so excited about me being on network television again,â she said. âYou know, not everybody could find TV Land,â she added, âbut everybody could find NBC.â
The role was not written for Drescher, exactly. The pilot script had called for a âFran Drescher type,â and when the real Fran Drescher signed on, she required a few adjustments. âPeople are used to seeing an annoying mother-in-law in a sitcom, but thatâs not what I signed up for,â Drescher said. âWhen you have somebody whose persona is bigger than the part, you got to make it right for me. Or why have me?â
That meant giving Debbie Klein some passions of her own. âI had to bring myself into it,â she said. âI really infused the sex appeal, the sensuality, the vivaciousness of the character.â
âIndebtedâ creator Dan Levy, a comedian and producer for âThe Goldbergs,â said that he originally modeled Debbie and Stew after his own parents, but that the steaminess was all Drescher. âMy mom was like, âThatâs not based on us,ââ Levy said. âShe elevated that to a whole level that I was not expecting.â
In the decades since Drescher first opened her mouth onscreen, the Fran Drescher type has achieved a quiet dominance over popular culture. âThe Nannyâ has been syndicated around the world and remade in a dozen countries, including Turkey (where it was called âDadiâ), Poland (âNianiaâ) and Argentina (âLa Niñeraâ). In âThe Nanny,â for anyone who doesnât have the chatty theme song implanted in her brain, Drescher plays a Jewish woman from Queens hired to tend to the three precocious children of a wealthy English widower, Maxwell Sheffield, who is also Broadwayâs second-most-successful producer (after his nemesis, Andrew Lloyd Webber). In foreign versions, the ethnicities are recalibrated â in the Russian one, the nanny is Ukrainian â but the Fran Drescher type is otherwise preserved. Wherever she goes, the ethnic striver is transplanted into a posh setting as the help, and her appealing culture and individual charm pull off the ultimate makeover â reinventing the strait-laced insiders in her own brash image.
Across the internet, Fran Fine is helping to perform similar tricks. With her pile of hair, power-clashing wardrobe and cartoon proportions, she has been fashioned into an avatar of stylish self-respect. In GIFs spirited around social media, she can be seen in a cheetah-print skirt suit, sipping from a cheetah-print teacup; inhaling a plate of spaghetti with no hands; and descending the Sheffieldsâ ivory staircase as if entering New Yorkâs hottest club.
âI send this when Iâm excited,â Drescher said, summoning her phone from her assistant Jordan and thumbing to a GIF of Fine twirling across the mansion in a fuchsia dress and a self-satisfied look. âHow many people can send their own GIF?â
The Fran Drescher type is a kind of advisory role. First she was the worldâs nanny, showing kids how to mix prints and be themselves, and now she has matured into a cool-aunt persona, modeling a fabulous adulthood. (âBroad Cityâ made this transformation literal, squeezing Drescher into a low cut rainbow and cheetah-print dress and casting her as Ilanaâs Aunt Bev, and by extension the spirit guide for a new generation of Jewish comediennes.) âIâve never had kids, so Iâm not really parental,â Drescher said. âIâm a mom to my dogs.â
âIâm kind of an influencer,â she added. Drescher has led an unconventional life, and âI share it,â she said. âIt gives my life purpose.â In two memoirs, she has discussed being raped at gunpoint in her 20s, surviving uterine cancer in her 40s, and divorcing Jacobson only to acquire a new gay best friend when he subsequently came out. Recently she thrilled the internet when she revealed that she has secured a âfriend with benefitsâ whom she meets twice a month for television viewing and sex. âI donât think itâs that shocking a thing,â Drescher said. âIâm not in love with him.â
The kids who grew up watching âThe Nannyâ are now Nanny Fineâs age, old enough to properly covet her closet and cultivate a newfound respect for her persona. On Instagram, the @whatfranwore account catalogs classic âNannyâ outfits, and @thenannyart pairs them with contemporary art pieces. Cardi B once captioned a photo of herself in head-to-toe cat prints: âFran Drescher in @dolceandgabbana.â The actor Isabelle Owens will mount a one-woman song-and-dance show dedicated to Drescher in New York this month, called âFran Drescher, Please Adopt Me!â âAs everything from the â90s comes back, people are rediscovering her,â Owens said, noting Drescherâs fashion, her confidence, and her voice; Owens is still working to perfect her impersonation. âThere are so many layers to it,â she said. âItâs so delicate and lyrical.â
The Fran Drescher type, no matter how big it gets, still risks reducing the woman behind it. âAll of her is in me, but not all of me is in her,â Drescher said. âI donât think any of my characters could have ever created and executive-produced âThe Nanny.ââ Fran Fine might have been able to wrap the boss around her red-lacquered little finger, but Drescher is the boss. When she secured her own New York apartment, in 2004, it was here, just across the park from the house that stood in for the Sheffield mansion on âThe Nanny.â Soon her transformation into Mr. Sheffield will be complete: She is developing a Broadway show of her own, a musical adaptation of âThe Nannyâ that she will co-write with Jacobson.
âThe Nannyâ is a timely bid for Broadway. Drescher takes the stageâs most classic feminine archetype and gives her a modern upgrade: She is Eliza Doolittle if she refused to take her voice lessons.
Thatâs perhaps the biggest misconception about the Fran Drescher type â that the voice is an unfortunate obstacle, rather than a cultivated asset. Once, a fan asked Drescher about the classic âNannyâ scene where Fran Fine goes for sushi, naĂŻvely swallows a wad of wasabi, and says, in an eerily neutral broadcasterâs voice, âGee, you know, that mustard really clears out the nasal passages.â The fan wanted to know how Drescher had managed to pull that voice off. Sitting in her parkside apartment, perched in her producerâs chair, confidently apportioning her wasabi, Drescher revealed her secret: âIâm very talented.â
