schumi birthday post :)

so it’s just hit 3rd jan here (when this is posted) and that means it’s our dear legend schumi’s birthday :))

schumi holds a special place in my heart because he is the (indirect) reason i watch f1 - he made my mom fall in love with the sport, who in turn introduced it to me.

it’s been 6 years since his injury, and sometimes it hurts to think about it. but in these moments (like his birthday) i want to remember him for the person he was, the racer he was, and not for an injury.

to celebrate, i dug out some photos of him from his racing days and made some wallpapers, feel free to use and i hope you like them :)

Formule 1 team Sauber heeft vandaag in een persbericht bekend gemaakt de naam te veranderen in Alfa Romeo Racing. De naam Sauber wordt vanaf nu helemaal geschrapt uit de Formule 1

Sinds 2017 werkt Sauber al samen met Alfa Romeo en gebruikten in 2017 al de nieuwe naam Alfa Romeo Sauber.

Aankomend seizoen zullen de coureurs Kimi Räikkönen en Antonio Giovinazzi in actie komen voor Alfa Romeo…

checo fans hating daniel, daniel fans hating checo but actually they fuck nasty.

#1 I found a very similar one on Alamy but not quite the same.#2 I found a very similar one on Ghetty and Alamy but once again could not find exact match.#3 is colour graded to hell and back (He's wearing the same hat as the previous photo - i.e. neon green).#3 is from Ghetty #4 is from Ghetty #5 I can't find any other copy of the photo anywhere - I can only work out its 2011 from the hats.#Using the microphone below Perez' mouth - I went through an old F1 news website from the 2010s to find lists of who was in the Thursday #Press Conferences. Then found the Singapore Grand Prix and dug up a random photo of Ricciardo that matched the style from them on Motorspor #images.com. I can't find the exact image but I am 90% sure im correct in this #I found the photo!! 12 pages deep into Motorsportimages.com. How did this person find this photo I am very impressed. This took me 1/2 hour #6 I couldn't find a source so I worked out from Perez' hat and Ricciardo's jacket logo it was 2016.#It then looks like it's from a more casual event (like a driver's parade) and looked at different photos to get a guess of which Grand Prix #And found photos of the parade in the US where Perez and RIcciardo are standing next to each other in the right order.#I might still be incorrect so if you have the source please correct me!#7 is from Ghetty.
