Day 25 of Neotober made by @fall-of-a-girl was Codestone and I used the wearable Codestone Lei's as an excuse to draw my Oc's Ebony and Seshora wearing pride-flag-themed Codestone Lei.

I love these silly kids so much, Ebony is in full-blown puppy love here, I see her as being someone who fasts in love hard and fast especially at 16 as she is here, Sehora is sweet, full of energy, and expresses her love via having fun with her loved ones, got a lot of maturing to do, but she's got plenty of time to do it.

Also took me until I drew this one to realise these two have unintentional Ephaba and Glinda vibes, I wish I could pretend that was intentional but actually their colour match was inspired by Cosmo & Wanda from fairly odd parents. 🤐

I just think this is the funnier chunk.#Lan Wangji absolutely is the kind of person who has a perfect internal alarm clock for when it is time to get up.#He already has a dedicated sleep schedule. He is accurate within 10 seconds of 5am every day.#I think the Jiang disciples are most likely used to waking up around 6:00-7:00am #But the allure of having a guaranteed time keeper getting you up in the morning is worth the earlier hour.#I imagine they started outside lwj's door and slowly moved closer as the weeks went on.#Now LWJ has to cope with being way too warm in the night from all the extra body heat.#LWJ is not a fan of this but they scamper off immediately after he wakes up and they at least show initiative to follow routine.#NHS joins in only because he is a chronically heavy sleeper and needs this level of intervention to get up early.#His boldness would be a death sentence in the cloud recesses but here? Whole new game.#Yungmeng Jiang isn't a lawless land. It's just a land with different laws.#And one of those laws is to forcefully domesticate the catboy coded Lan boy through any means necessary.#Completely different tangent: I drew the thumbnail for this before I did comic 134. I then realized they had the same visual gag.#So I had to space this one out so it didn't seem like I repeated the waking up joke. That's my secret and all of you have to keep it.#And in my land the law is that snitches get itches (telepathically transfers hives onto your body)

One thing I find very interesting, as a learner of German, is Isolde's usage of du when speaking to Kakania. In German, there are three main second person pronouns: du, ihr and Sie. The first two are mainly used in informal and casual settings or when talking to people you're close with (with du being singular and ihr being plural sorta similar to english's y'all) while Sie is used in more formal situations (or situations which require some form of formality) such as talking to strangers, customer service or when you're talking to a doctor/patient. Kakania abides by this and uses Sie when talking to Isolde (such as in her speech at the end of chapter 6) but interestingly, Isolde doesn't reciprocate this and instead uses du when conversing with Kakania in German.

This is super fascinating to me because it implies different levels of closeness within their relationship. Isolde's usage of du implies a level of closeness and intimacy to Kakania as Isolde herself saw Kakania as a close friend (most likely due to the fact that Kakania was once of the few people in Vienna who actually sympathized with her and saw her as a human being) but Kakania's siezen suggests a certain level of estrangement or distance between her and Isolde. Of course. this could just be her maintaining her professionalism as doctors normally use Sie when talking to patients but with how things turned out after chapters 6 and 7, I'd like to think this goes deeper than just formality standards.

Idk if someone has already said this but. A neat way to have both a "dead Solas" ending and an "alive Solas" ending in DATV, without too much divergence for future games to handle, is to have him willingly return her powers to Mythal, if he lives, and for Mythal to take back the power by herself if he dies. That way, the fixed "big power" in all timelines is Mythal, and Solas dissapears from the main story either bc, you know, he either got killed or he’s now a mortal who fades into the background to find a new purpose for himself, away from Fen'harel's legacy.

Additionally, him giving Mythal her power back would be an amazing kickstart for his big apology tour.

#this only works if as we suspect Mythal is now within Morrigan #obvs #in any case if he lives i really dont think he'll remain in god-mode #but idk maybe the writers have a killer plot twist to tidy up all that while keeping solas god powered #in 6 days ill know baby #datv #dragon age the veilguard #solas
