It may be basic autist of me-
But I love the F-15 more than any modern 5th generation fighter. Sure, stealth is cool, but an F-15EX is supposed to be able to carry 12 AIM-120's.

Chinese J-20 found on Russian borders: "A 5th generation fighter was sent as a scout"
Sunson Guo Chinese J-20 found on Russian borders: "A 5th generation fighter was sent as a scout" | Super Power Army | Yandex Zen In connection with recent events, namely the conclusion of a possible contract between Russia and India for the supply of Russian T-14 Armata , a small provocative trick was carried out by China towards the Russian Federation. I suppose you know that Russia and China are one of the successful partnerships, but the muscle game is also present here. According to a military acquaintance : Near the Russian borders, a fifth-generation Chinese fighter J-20 was found, on radars a target was displayed that moved too fast parallel to the border. He did not respond to the signals transmitted by radio; in the near future it was planned to start intercepting at the expense of the existing aircraft, but subsequently the fighter changed its trajectory. This made it possible to cancel the interception, from assumptions - a Chinese combat aircraft made a short flight near the borders of the Russian Federation in order to demonstrate something to the military apparatus of our state with this gesture. The only strange thing is that a brand new fifth-generation fighter was sent as a scout, by the way, his stealth technologies could not be saved from Russian radars, but I believe that no one did it. At the moment, there is still a military confrontation between India and China, for this reason, the Chinese state does not want to sign an agreement on the supply of T-14, since this equipment will greatly affect the combat aspect of the Indian state. But this agreement is only at the verbal stage, no one stutters its formal signing, since Armata has not yet entered the armed forces of the Russian Federation, let alone the export of this military equipment. China’s J-20 fighter can get 'beastly' if it has to The Chinese will replace Russian fighter engines with their own China must make more J-20 stealth jets to meet air force demand, say military analysts Russian fighter Su-57 continues to 'fall down' - losses from Chinese J-20 in battle of height On Chinese TV called the average age of pilots fighter J-20 Battle of the stealth fighters: J-20 vs Su-57 Su-30's radars have repeatedly detected Chinese stealth fighter aircraft J-20 China’s Mighty Dragons are rightly feared China.com: Russia is unlikely to succeed in selling Su planes to China again Battle of the stealth fighters: J-20 vs Su-57 US talks tough while confidence in J-20 grows Allegations China Stole F-35 Design to Make J-20, FC-31 Based On Superficial Evidence China’s J-20 Fighter May Have Entered Mass Production with Increased Deployment Stealth fighters join PLA air force ace unit WS-10 engines equipped with vector thrust had already been installed on a J-20 for testing Formation of J-20 fighters sparks speculation Video shows largest J-20 formation Stealth wars: China’s J-20 vs. USAF’s F-35 China deploys J-20 stealth fighter ‘to keep tabs on Taiwan’ Chengdu J-20: Details

The Exterminators
Oh boy this is gona be long....
-X-
So were do i start...?
Oh yeah! A basic introduction.
Welp exterminators are an extra and fictional faction of the military on the irken empire on my au defective lotus and it's two variants four for the price of one the principal one and a tale of blood petals the one in the side lines.
The basic info
So exterminators as the name sujest are in charge of exterminating, what precisly? Welp they are tecnically hitman,in charge of exterminating people that can be of any risk to the empire in general, not caring your status or your importance as a person.
Not even if you are a high rank on the irken empire or even a tallest if you are seen as a risk for the empire your destiny is seeled if a exterminator is send for your head.
This is mostly since they are comanded straigh up by a special control brain that is more little and has an avatar to move freely in its instalation, this control brain is also the one that decides the destinys of exterminators wich only bow their head upon the control brain comand.
This fact also makes them both feared and disowned by the galaxy in general but mostly among the irkens themselves, since exterminators cannot be judged for killing other irkens even if they are high ranks or tallest since they are protected by their control brain.
Not taking in count that if they kill someone is becuse of only two reason they are interfiering or they are their objective,a exterminators does not kill or even harm someone if theres is no order to do so prior and if they do they are automatically terminated once discovered.
Tho the exterminators control brain tends to be a bit corrupt, and leaves the exterminators be free to kill if they have valid reasons such as a deep hatred towards someone or if they see said someone as dangerous this are valid reasons for why to kill someone out of the blue.
The conditions and factions
Tho fourtunetly not everyone can be an exterminator and in fact especial requierements are needed to be one such a good and really strong fisical condition, almost perfect health, good agility and speed, fast reaction and reflex, high pain, famine, thirst n sleep resistence and lastly a good mental health or at least a strong mind and stomach.
This things are merely the basics later on comes the hellish training to became part of at least one of the 5 factions of exterminators that go from:
Alpha, the loyal dogs: this faction is the second one that has more recruits and especialices in many forms of combat, the one most loyal to the control brain with a 99% success cup the best and 1st of the 5 factions rank.
Gamma, the vigilant crows: this faction specialices more in infiltration, spying, camuflage and mostly stealth, with sniper based specialist with a bit low count on recruits with a 95% cup of sucess at the 2nd in the rank of the factions.
Delta, the roaring tigers: crazy piromaniacs that will burst any objective they have in flames or wich will end up exploding, the one with the biggest recruit acount afther all many irkens like fire and explotions aparently, they have a 82% sucess cup 3rd in the rank.
Omega, the sliding snakes: fisical fighters that use poisoned weapons as their principal weapon to go with, they have a reasonable amount of recruits but not way more high than the gamma faction, they have a 76% sucess cup and are the 4th in the rank.
Beta, the hungry priranhas: quiet scavengers that similarly to the tigers use explosives to solve their problems, but as name sujest they do better with water scenarios, they are most likely a cleaning team that clean the disaster other exterminators leave behind leaving no prof they were there, they have a 60% succes cup in the last rank being the 5th one.
Their attire
So the exterminator attire normaly consist in large personable jackets with short, long or no sleves with a hood, shoulder plates(aswell in case of a tail theres aditional armor plates and pices),armoured gloves wich hide a plasma blade, long dark metalic boots, belt, gas mask and the special led visor(or viewfinder[?).
Under that is the inner armor conformed by the chest n stomach, back, shoulder and the waist n thights plates, alogside this is the hidden weaponry consisted by 4 knives, and the exterminator ID
Tumblr media
[I was way to lazy to past it on digital this is mis by the way]
The Exterminator ID
As the name may say this triangle kind of colar is the one in charge to serve as an identification for the exterminators and is able to deploy a hologram with the whole exterminator info in it
If lost the exterminator will have to cross land, sea, air and space to recover it since it can put their identity and the identity of their loved ones at risk since in case they have relatives since their names are on the exterminator ID's
If destroyed they must ask for a new one, fill papers and explain in detail how did the ID got destroyed without skiping a single detail and without liying.
If stolen not only they need to recover it no mater how they have to terminate the one that stole the ID from them or any other exterminator, but if the exterminator from who ID was stolen had fallen in combat be prepared for an angry horde of exterminators to go for your head.
The ID's of fallen exterminators become sacred for them the moment said exterminator is found dead, noticed or seen die and must be taken inmediatly to be bringed back to the control brain along the PAK.
The only reason you might stole an exterminator ID specially from a fallen one,is if you are desperate for status, money or want to die, since no single exterminator will rest or go back home until they get the ID back.
Tumblr media
Exterminator badge
The exterminator badge or insignia is the simbol that represents the exterminator as an actual part of the irken armada similar to special badges like the invader one or the elite insignia.
Tumblr media
Their Weapons
Among the most common weapons in their weaponry theres the ghost sniper, the plasma shoter and the plasma war axe, along many other weapons that come in many forms and varieties
The ghost sniper
Tumblr media
The plasma shoter
Tumblr media
The plasma war axe
Tumblr media
All this weapons use plasma containers or also know as plasma granades as fuel n ammunition thing that make them a bit unstable and lowkey dangerous to use if they overheat at the risk of explotion.
In fact the gloves have 4 plasma bateries 2 each glove that can provoque small explosions if thrown with enough force, and the containers have their security trings still on to jerk them and trow like a normal plasma granade.
The target simbol
This simbol only apears on one side of the led visor once a target has been located, the color depends on the personalization given to the visor.
Tumblr media
The Agrenalin and its dangers
The agrenalin is a kind of strong stimulant drug that exterminators use in their mask as a form to keep them awake and to stay alert at any moment, aswell provokes certain agresive behaiviour on them.
The agrenalin is consumed via breathing through the side respirators of the mask that are aswell the air filters, the slots in the middle of the mask is not for breating but for their voice to be heard.
The adrenalin is a dense liquid that in contact with the air turns into a thick purplish smoke that can be seen going out of the respirators at any moment the mask is on.
Once sucked in the body, the agrenalin does efect in less than a minute as a very late response 2 minutes, once kick in the eyes of the irken change shape and color.
Tumblr media
The continous consumtion has a side efect of a constant almost permanent insomnia and an alarming sleep schedule, since despite irkens being able not to sleep for a week and only needing 2 to 4 hours of sleep.
Exterminators or irkens consuming agrenaling will not be able to sleep for a month or straigh up months and once they sleep thaey can sleep from 16 hours to a whole day with no form of waking them up once they have entered the deep sleep phase.
Other concequences apart from the overdose to wich they are exposed is the dangerous agresiveness they can show under the efects of agrenalin to the point they can kill someone out of the blind rage the drug provoques.
The drug aswell is highly adicctive wich is a problem since this drug can only be atministrated by the exterminators factions and if adquired illigaly or an fisical or mental dependence is discovered.
The exterminator can be expelled of the exterminator forces or suspended this taking in count how serious is the issue, many exterminators have to seek profesional help to control themselfs or counteract the drug effect or seek help for their adictions.
Tho sometimes the drug can be dangerous for the irken wellbeing and is needed for them to become half-active exterminators so they arent at risk for external health problems.
[This last thing is why mis isn't an active exterminator]
-X-
Anyway thats all i think i covered anithing about this fictional special force in the irken empire of Defective Lotus and its two alternate routes.
Anyhow remembers to drink water and touch some grass.

Rambly Lore Post? Rambly Lore Post.
Ok class today we'll be talking about technological progression and shit woooooooo most of this will be written from the perspective of military aerospace because that's both a good frame of reference for how my brain works (i don't know tank generations very well, for example) and it also is a relatively time-independent frame of reference because there might be some historical events getting switched around, big technological hurdles reached earlier and stuff.
Alright, so let's start with the end of WWII with the last piston and first generation of jet fighters. These were actually fairly close in performance- jets of course were faster, but not by that much just yet. Even if the trend was obvious, engine lifetimes and fuel thirstiness kept jets down for a little while. The second generation of jets fighters would start changing this as we got supersonic entries, and by the third we start seeing relatively long-endurance aircraft with advanced avionics, and the finalization of a shift to missiles. Fourth-gen fighters mark yet further improvements to avionics, sensors, and performance- in some cases also favoring a lower wing loading over third-gen predecessors that often had some pretty dubious low-speed handling. Finally, we reach the currently latest generation fielded, 5. This is a bit of a nebulous generation as a lot of the aerodynamic stuff is essentially just 4 again- if anything, some pure aerodynamics have slipped back, and they've become reliant on sheer thrust to maintain their otherwise superlative kinematic performance. The defining points, however, seem to be Low Observability and advanced computerization that renders their sensors not just more powerful, but also easier to manage- crucial, as the two-seat cockpits older aircraft with similar systems required to distribute the workload are a compromising factor for stealth, and would eat internal space that the internal weapons bays put at a great premium.
Now, the Regular Military has since progressed down this route. Sixth-generation fighter aircraft seem to already have a definition in real life, that being that they're likely to be optimized for drone control. While capable aircraft in their own right, they're projected to be extremely large and expensive compared to their fifth-generation ilk (who already bear a cost spike (if an exaggerated one in some cases)), bomber-like, two-seaters, and likely a true downgrade in pure kinematics. These have been in service for a while in the setting, supplementing 4th and 5th generation aircraft- with 7th generation fighters being prototyped with a number of pre-production "YF-" designated airframes around. G7 aims to streamline the G6 design. It's knocked back down to one pilot in a small, extremely stealthy aircraft, bearing very little of its own equipment and highly kinematic by virtue of just how light it is. Onboard radars are basic, and room for weaponry is lacking- but with computer assistance, these aircraft can command a formation of drones to perform all those jobs. Moving the main radar off of the manned aircraft component of the fleet, for example, is immensely beneficial now that LPI frequency-shifting techniques are starting to get cracked a little bit by this point in time, and beaming an enemy is now somewhat more likely to reveal your position. Of course, it also has the sort of psychological effect that the least threatening part of the fleet being the manned plane means that the manned plane hundreds of miles away is less likely to be shot than the expendable drones actively bombing your position, which itself is likely to vastly increase survivability even in the event of total mission failures.
This is on top of things in between. There've been a lot of intermediate Generation "4.5" or "4+(+?)" aircraft implementing advanced avionics and semi-stealth into G4 planes. On the more fictional side, Freelancers and less-funded militaries have sought upgrades for older aircraft. Sometimes these are relatively reasonable life-extensions and glass cockpits being just barely crammed into G3s. Sometimes they're attempts to turn G2 fighters into light missile trucks with newer engines. Sometimes someone uploads scans of old piston and G1 airframe structures to the internet and Freelancers can have them printed in space-age alloys on the cheap, and manage to cram FLIR, a modern engine, and a rotary cannon into the poor thing. The more scuffed variations of this have been dubbed "KitCarriage" because the main thing they're good for is carrying a kit of modern avionics, countermeasures, and weapon modules- and many are, of course, unmanned. The opposite end of the spectrum is some hair-splitting in G5 aircraft. There's now a recognized "5.5" group of later aircraft that managed to run stealth cheaper than initial 5th gens, with much lower unit price and cost per flight hour. By contrast, many of those early 5th gens were adapted later on into lower-stealth modifications called "5-" (like, Five Minus), which still would bear decent stealth capabilities but save a lot of money.
Of course, the more organized Mercenary cabals had undergone their divergences from this line. Two, to be in fact. The bigger Merc groups were, during the Cold War, split a little bit. MercNet would form from the main group, but many feared that having that much close-knit power could essentially lead to them essentially just becoming a second regular military. These ones split off, but would eventually reconsolidate into a second group. Today known as GhostShip because, uh, well, something happened but they're... Ffff...ine? Now? They're sort of all nebulous personas loosely managing expendable clone armies. Not a terrible gig but boy they should NOT have pissed off that wizard or whatever the fuck that was.
But they naturally had an ideological split happen relatively early, and thus their point of divergence lies between 3rd and 4th gen fighters. GhostShip would have trouble making workload reduction effective, so multi-crewed vehicles were somewhat mandatory if you wanted the radar and stuff to be good. This in turn reflects sort of how their entire thing works out.
GhostShip has options for single-crew vehicles that sorta suck y'know? These "Bantams" are stuck in that lightweight end of 3rd gen, in the aircraft examples- armored vehicles are often light casemate TDs in their analogous class. Emphasis on that they kinda see themselves as expendable, anyone else would make these drones. Then we get to two-seater "Aquilas" that have a gunner/driver or pilot/WSO division and can afford such lavish amenities as radar, or a turret, and it goes up and up from there. Their technology base differs from either MercNet or RegMil. Their material engineering is superlative, but they're held back by low computerization and a (well, at least more blatant) desire to cut costs. A certain crowd of nerds may be glad to know that they're back to the point of viewing guns as the main armament of combat aircraft, in an age where everyone else sees them as weapons of opportunity at best. Ordnance tends to lack measures to increase capacity seen so often in other groups that have minimized munition sizes or just crammed more onto a given pylon via MERs- less so for GhostShip, who tend to plan out their objectives tightly and equip small shot counts of big brute-force weapons specialized for each step. Stealth is a thing, but they sort of converged on it rather than just getting with the program, and trying to work it into the other quirks of their designs can result in some distinctive looks to say the least.
As for MercNet, if that implies they just stuck with RegMil technologically, uh, no. As G6 was underway, MercNet split off and started investing into original models. Directed-Energy weapons were on the horizon and MercNet felt a need to address them directly, managing to create advanced, lightweight ablative armor- this differs from RegMil using drones as a catch-all solution to that, but ADB imagined attrition rates versus a laser-armed peer would be too high even if they were all UAVs (though MUM-T became a shared tactic between them). This led to the "Knighted" aircraft- well, that and the knock-on effects. Ablative armor happens to be marginal kinetic armor, which reduces the effects of blast-frag warheads, which means proximity fusing is off the menu, which means kinetic and shaped-charge penetrator missiles, which mean localized damage, which mean multiple shots to sufficiently damage a plane and also that they could perforate tank armor with some luck and persistence, which meant huge capacities of an omni-purpose short-range missile type were implemented universally to deal with their own ablative armor. Eventually neural interfaces were sought to reduce workload without requiring more manpower, which also lead to insane G-tolerance, single crews, chronic cognitive damage and psychosis, etc.
now i could go on but it'd require talking about space and i'm tired.

The Russian Sukhoi Su-57 “Felon”, the world’s least numerous 5th generation fighter jet, and arguably the worst one in service, has now become the first of its kind to have a combat loss, after one aircraft was severely damaged/partially destroyed in an Ukrainian drone attack launched earlier today inside Russia, 500 kilometers (around 250 miles) from the nearest frontline.
It’s doubly confounded by the fact that as of 2024, no combat use of the Su-57 has been confirmed inside Ukrainian airspace, with Russian claims of use of the type without any visual proof.
The other 5th gen jets in service are the American F-22 Raptor, with less than 200 units built, and F-35 Lightning II, the most numerous stealth fighter jet with over 1000 units built, both with combat deployments, and the F-35 already involved in air raids with the Israeli Air Force, and the Chinese J-20, which hasn’t been deployed anywhere outside mainland China, but which is now is mass production with at least 200 units built, compared with the estimated 30 or so of the Su-57.

Warriors of the agathion, leonals are humanoid lions that hunt fiends and monsters across the planes. While avorals scout, leonals are dedicated killers, called in when it is determined that the threat is imminent. On the material plane or in the celestial realms, the leonal will use its roar to banish threats back to their home, but if that fails they will fall back on their claws and bite to shred enemies in vicious display of power. For their strength and generally straightforward personalities, they are still quite cunning fighters, and will make good use of stealth and tactics to ensure the tides of battle swing in their favor. They are capable of using manufactured weapons, but their own pride and confidence in themselves means they rarely do, preferring their natural weapons.
The leonal originated in 2nd edition D&D, and made an appearance in 3rd edition and Pathfinder 1e Bestiary. This post came out a week ago on my Patreon. If you want to get access to all my monster conversions early, as well as access to my premade adventures and other material I’m working on, consider backing me there!

The leonal has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell. Poison Resistance. The leonal has advantage on saving throws against taking poison damage or becoming poisoned. Protective Aura. The leonal is surrounded at all times by a 10-foot globe of protective magic. Fiends cannot enter this area by nonmagical means, and have disadvantage on attack rolls against targets within the area. Creatures of the leonal's choice within the area can't be charmed, frightened, or possessed by fiends. Additionally, any spell of 4th level or lower cast from outside the area can't affect creatures or objects within it, even if the spell is cast using a higher level spell slot. Such a spell can target creatures and objects within the barrier, but the spell has no effect on them. Similarly, the area within the barrier is excluded from the areas effected by such spells. This effect can be dispelled as a 6th level spell, but the leonal can restart it as an action. Actions Multiattack. The leonal makes three attacks: one with its Bite and two with its Claws. If both Claw attacks hit the same target, it can make an additional Claw attack against the same target as a bonus action, with advantage on the attack roll and a +10 bonus on the damage roll. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) radiant damage. Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d6+6) slashing damage plus 10 (3d6) radiant damage. Roar (1/Short Rest). The leonal can unleash a mighty roar that affects a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 14 (4d7) thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful save. Then, each creature in the area must make a DC 14 Charisma saving throw against magic. On a failed save, a creature suffers an effect based on its current hit points. If it has 50 hit points or fewer, it is deafened for 1 minute. If it has 40 hit points or fewer, it is deafened and blinded for 10 minutes. If it has 30 hit points or fewer, it is blinded, deafened, and stunned for 1 hour. And if it has 20 hit points or fewer, it is killed instantly. Regardless of its current hit points, a celestial, element, fey, or fiend that fails its save is forced back to its plane of origin (if it isn't there already) and can't leave that plane for 24 hours by any means short of a wish spell.
