I love how Echo went from "I read the reg manuals for fun and insist we do everything by the books" to "I'm going to sneak onto this heavily-guarded imperial ship by myself and hope that I can get you guys on here too before I'm taken to an unknown location where I'll probably die. Oh, and I'm gonna do it by going up the droid chute."

may i ask how you added fingers to the Straightforward Mitts by Dräger? i love them but i prefer half-finger to fingerless.
So, I'm an almost compulsory note taker. I take notes. I write down every change and mod I do when I knit. So when I got your ask I immediately went to my notebook for projects. And would you believe it? I not only haven't written a single note on this project, it's also not even in the book!? I don't know how this happened.
So while I can't give you an exact answer (because believe me, there are plenty of mods in these mitts cuz the person who received them is a thin wristed, wide thumbed kind of person), I'll attempt to explain the thought process behind it.
Let me prefix this quickly with saying I'm an organic, chaotic maker type of knitter. I don't usually follow patterns, and if I do, I change them a lot, on the fly, while I work.
. : - : .
But let's say the circumstances around your knuckles is 50sts. And (I presume) you have 4 fingers (plus a thumb). You need to divide 50sts on 4 fingers. But! Your hand is flat, that is, you can't just take the first 12,5sts (50/4) and make a finger out of them.
So we divide 50 by 2. One palm side, and one hand roof side. 25sts. Only your fingers aren't paper, they are a 3d object. And so they'll need some stitches for bulk between the fingers. (if you've ever knit a sweater, these are the sts that goes under the arm).
So the first st is a 'bulk st' because it will sit on the "outside" of your index finger. So we'll not count that st, but remember that it's still there. The same goes for the st that will sit on the outside of your pinkie.
So we have now 23sts to divide over 4 fingers. The pinkie is thinner on most people, so it won't need as many sts as the other ones. That'd be 5,75sts/finger. But we can't knit ,75 sts. So we'll distribute them like so:
Index: 6sts. Middle: 7sts. Ring: 6sts. Pinkie: 4sts. (Or according to the ratios on your hand. I have a rather muscular index finger. Cuz I'm a crafter, so I might've wanted another st there ect)
Let's start knitting the index finger: 1 bulk st, 6 palm sts. - put the rest of the sts on spare yarn except for the last 6sts -, cast on 1 bulk st, knit 6 roof sts. This is your circumstance for your index finger. Knit until you've reached desired length, and bind off with a fitting bind of technique (depending on how you want them to feel, tight or elastic ectect).
Middle finger: Now put the first 7sts of the ones on the spare yarn on a needle. Knit those. Cast on 1 bulk st. Put the last 7sts of the ones you put on spare yarn on a needle. Knit those. Pick up the 1st between the middle and index finger and knit that. This is your circumstance for the middle finger.
Repeat this for the rest of the fingers.
And remember: TRY THEM ON AS YOU GO AND DO ADJUSTMENTS AS NEEDED.
. : - : .
I did say I was a chaotic maker. I realize not everyone enjoy knitting this way, they need a step by step instruction. But this is the best answer of the way I think concerning modding for some fingers on a mitt I can give. These numbers aren't exact, they're taken just for how I theoretically think it will work (it's quite a while since I knit the mitts and the pair aren't in my possession any more so I can't count the exact sts). Adapt the numbers to fit your hands.
I do hope the answer was helpful anyway, I gave it my best shot, hihi!

As Seen on TV: Speakeasies and Jazz (NYC Nightlife places that YOU can VISIT!)
White Collar: (Season 4, Episode 13)
The episode is called “Empire City”. “Neal and Peter investigate Mozzie's claims of taxi cab forgery and money laundering which leads back to a jazz club owner”. Also, Diana goes undercover in the establishment to catch the culprit. She wore a memorable costume of a cigar girl. The Cotton Club is a pillar in NYC’s culture and history during the Prohibition and Roaring 20s era. First and foremost, it is a jazz night club that has live music, food, and cigars. Many celebrities attended the nightclub like Joe DiMaggio and Duke Ellington. The Cotton Club is still open today and taking bookings/reservations.

Castle: (Season 3, Episode 10)
The episode is called “Last Call”. “The death of a bar owner takes Castle and Beckett back in time to the prohibition era.” The speakeasy in the episode is called “The Old Haunt” which doesnt exist in NYC. From the episode, Castle and Beckett find an unknown tunnel which leads to a stash of rare liquor. But there are many secret speakeasies that are in plain sight around NYC. “Nothing Really Matters” is a bar/lounge under the 50st Downtown 1 subway station. The entrance of the speakeasy is very inconspicuous. Another speakeasy that is in disguise is “UES”, the front of the store is an ice cream shop but when the server asks a patron about the “storage room” and a secret door covered with ice cream pints will open. A patron can enter a bar that serves unique cocktails.

so ive grown kinda bored with the dark blue ive painted my tobruskan 501st, and i did briefly consider calling it a quits on the 501 and just doing another numbered regiment of tobruskans, but then i thought of an ever better idea! u see, the tobruskans (along with a handful of other forces) have been stranded on the annihilated hive world of desolus for a couple of decades now, doing their best to maintain order and protect the ruins of the hives... so what if they just ran out of that blue paint. emporor knows that, if the administratum is getting their astropathic messages, they’re ignoring them, so they gotta paint their armour and guns a different colour now! oh shit i could use that dark blue for veterans, like its venerated colours or some shit. im so clever

SW Suddenly-Omegaverse AU: Meet the Generals
Context: Original Post, Chrono
I keep envisioning the initial "meet your generals" debrief for the 212th and 501st.
This is your high general! He's not technically on the council in this universe, but he's dating your dad and is a lot better at war than any of the other Jedi, so they put him in charge of many things anyway. He's also from another dimension and very new to being an omega, but he knows all your names and 95% of who you are as a person, with the other 5% being accounted for by the differences of the a/b/o designation system being what it is.
This is your regular general! He only recently passed a psych eval, but he's also very good at war, and he cares a lot about you and can't shut up about it. He's a little manic right now because they're still figuring out which mood stabilizers are best for him, and he is also very new at being an omega. The 50st medics are getting a very intensive debrief on this guy, between the massive psychological issues, recent Force-incited body modifications, and prosthesis, but also he's telling your counterpart in the 212th that you shouldn't let his dad drink because the man has a history of functional alcoholism.
None of you know what to do but your high general looks tired as fuck and the regular general is grinning like a madman, and both of them are pumping out "I love you, friend" pheromones about the clones, so like... could be worse.

LOTUS DUSTER PATTERN PROGRESS.
added 4 too many stitches on row 13, found them on 13.1, am compensating by removing 4 of the 8 additions in row 13.2, making it 50dc, 2dc1 x4, to re-establish an even 208 for row 14.
pray for my dsycalculic ass trying to accurately count 50st each time.
