4x05 When Harry Met Harry...

Ralph Dibny

I hate Ralph so much. He’s not improving. He’s just getting sleazier. I hate him. I can’t stand him. He needs to go. Now! I can’t believe they push Wally off the show for this sleazy asshole. He might have cop once upon a time but I don’t think he was ever a good person. He was always gross human being. This Kara trying to make Mon-El into decent person/hero.

He’d rather get the bad guy and let someone die? He’s getting pissy about saving people. God, he’s a bad he’s worse then Mon-El

Why does Barry have so much faith in Ralph who is barely showing any goodness? Barry sure as heck didn’t put as much effort or time into training Wally or Jesse. He didn’t push for them he just sat back and let their family decide what’s what for them. When Wally started out Barry was silent and HR was one in his corner.  Barry pushes over Ralph’s sleazy, not wanting to help people and petty crimes is as bad as Kara thinking Mon-El dragging him kicking and screaming trying to make him into decent person and hero. 

I’m so pissed at Ralph refering to women by their measurments. I’m beyond angry that he downgraded Caitlin from her name to her measurements. He’s got no respect for women. Where’s Killer Frost when you need her? I wish she popped out and iced his sexist ass for that comment.

I’ve grown tired of Flash’s ‘humorous music’ to tell us when something is meant to be funny. It usually plays around Ralph. It’s another part of feeling like the show is trying a little too hard to be funny instead just having natural funny moments. 

I love how Cisco made Ralph the ugliest suit possible. He deserves it. Don’t ever made better suit Cisco.

Wow, Ralph actually did something worthwhile. Mailing the necklace back to people it belonged to and being nice to the kid he didn’t help who got hurt. Still, don’t like him but credit where credit is due. See if they did this and didn’t make him misogynistic sleazy jerk then he might be halfway bearable. 

Harry, Cisco and the Counsel of Wells

Harry’s friends are just other Harrison Wells. That’s rather sad in a number of ways. Of course, it’s super egotistical too. I think Cisco is right that Harry might not like himself much like. He’s shown a few moments of self-loathing while maintaining his superiority complex.

Super pissed off that Cisco wasn’t included in ‘Counsel of Wells’ as scientist or brilliant mind. It’s like the show just forgot that Cisco is a fucking genius and reduced him Harry’s best friend. He can do both easily. The whole episode played way too heavy on the idea that Harrison Wells is the smartest person out there when Cisco is just as smart. Always has been and always will be. When stuff is happening and no one knows what it going on the first two that figure it out are always Cisco and Harry. They figure it out at the same time. Like Barry making a time double to who was running to burn himself up to stop Zoom’s machine in 2x23. The group was watching and someone asked what was going on and Harry answered. But if look scene you can see by Cisco’s face he already knows because just like Harry his face is filled with sorrow and horror before Harry starts to explain things to the group. So I’m pissed that Cisco was treated like this.

Wells the Grey is obviously a Gandalf cosplayer which embarrassed all the other Wells.

Cyborg!Wells cyborg parts looked terrible. What did they run out of money for this episode? Spending too much on the CGI for Ralph that can’t make a decent prop for his face? Also very Mad Max. He also had a daughter. I’m making Jesse Mad Max head canons/drag race speed queen headcanons as I type this.

Why is there always Wells who wants to fuck his other doppelgangers? It’s becoming a recurring popular theme. But then again Reverb checked Cisco out with a look that said ‘I’d hit that’ so it’s just a thing with egotistical people I guess. Randy!Wells who loves sex and is very how do I saw it open about it..also becoming a common theme.

I’m very upset that poor Cisco was forced to see Randy!Wells junk. Seriously that was uncalled for. It’s not funny having someone flash their junk at another person. Trust me I’ve had it happened when I was a kid when this boy would continually show girls his junk. It was his favorite thing to run up and pull down his pants or pull his junk out. He didn’t care how many times he got in trouble he just kept doing it. So this is one joke I do not find funny here

Other:

It’s nice to see Barry as CSI again. Now let’s see Iris being a reporter. I wish we had seen West and West investigating the case. How about less Ralph and a little more West action?

On the meta seen this story a thousand times whenever show decided to include Natives. Native America gets powers and try to stand up against the evil white people who are either harming the land, wronged their people, stealing from their people, or keeping things stolen from their people. The Natives end up the bad guys because they do whatever they have to protect their people, their land, their culture, try to recover what was stolen from them. We get one speech about Native issues written by someone who doesn’t give damn about Native issues. The character is killed or goes to jail never to be seen or heard from again and none of the characters on the show give damn about crimes against Natives person was fighting for. Everything goes right back to the way it always has been. Smallville has episode like this only with Shapeshifting Native America who killed off at the end of the episode. So I guess Flash one-upped Smallville slightly but the these stories are still always the same hitting same plot points. First Nations deserve so much better.

Not enough Iris in this episode.

I hate how Caitlin and Killer Frost story has just been skipped over like nothing happened last week. Nothing is really addressed. It’s all very vague what relationship between Caitlin and Frost is now. Where Frost stands now. This show really does Caitlin so dirty.

So Killer Frost & Caitlin relationship is now????

So Killer Frost and Caitlin’s story is now what??? 

All we get is two vague references to their relationship and what Killer Frost is doing. Sounds about right. Sums up what writers think of Caitlin and the importance of telling her story. Should’ve known the most we’d ever get was Caitlin going ‘I have a lot to tell you to’ to boys and camera pans off-screen. I mean why follow things up with Killer Frost after they decided it’s slip personality. I mean it’s not like this is the biggest thing to happen to Caitlin and now we got two characters stories needing to be told. The course just keeps going like it’s normal episode like nothing happened that’s the MO with Caitlin, isn’t it? Just throw her back in Starlabs as if nothing going on.

So what is the relationship between Caitlin & Frost now exactly? How do they talk to each other? Is like one of voice in the other’s head? Because apparently, Caitlin can’t remember KF and KF remembers everything and is awake when Caitlin is asleep. Does that drain the body of energy since one has a life while the other is asleep? Did they work out shared body system? Does Caitlin now trust KF have freedom? Because that’s fucking huge and it’s off-screen…Do they write each other notes? Do they make a request or as ask if it’s ok before they do big things like go to burning man or agree to fight powerful meta? I guess that goes back to the ‘how do they talk to each other thing?’ How will they handle things like one personality dating?

What is the status of Killer Frost now? Does she want to help people now? Is she begrudging helping the heroes? Does she just want a chance to fight and use her powers and team Flash offers up that chance? Does she feel like she owes them? Is she starting to like them? Is she hiding from Amulet? Is she sorry for what she did to them? To Iris? TO Cisco? Does she feel affection towards Iris for beinf the only person to validate her as a person? Does frost really just want to raise a little hell like before? Would she kill them if they k Pissed her off? Dunno because we don't know anything about the new Frost.

If the writers gave half flying fuck about Caitlin or Killer Frost they would present Killer Frost like a new character and give her story/screen time accordingly watching her build relationships with the team. Because she’s new personality now right? So her relationship with Iris, Cisco, Harry, Barry, and Joe is going to be different then Caitlin and that would actually be interesting to watch. Have Killer Frost like Iris and be sorry she tried to kill her because Iris is the only person who treated her like a person and not a thing needing curing. But I guess that couldn’t happen because that’s too close to admitting Iris was wronged and righting the situation. I’d actually be more interested in Killer Frost showing remorse and deciding she likes Iris becoming friends with her then Caitlin who tried her like crap in s3 and spent three seasons as work friends and who Iris cares about Caitlin twice as much Caitlin cares about her. Give KF an actual redemption story. But that’s not going to happen. Ralph gets tones of screen time to be a sleazy misogynistic pig and this story remains a mystery. You just got to try to piece it together based on throw away limes and tiny scenes. This why I can't get behind Caitlin or Frost. When writing is so bad there is nothing but blank space filled in bugs of information and when people go "it must be this way the writers to 'lol nope we decided to retcon history and act like thay never happen Yolo"
