Back when we were in 9 or 10 yrs old, I started dancing with these amazing group of ladies. Fast forward to today, most of us in our 40s, celebrating yrs of friendship and good health, still thankful to be dancing with these gorgeous women. 2nd competition in a span of 3 weeks. Told you guys i was gonna compete as much as possible when things started up again. This was a Kosen competition, old school Judo where you can grab the legs and keep fighting on the ground and don't get stood up after 3 sec. Was fun as heck! Competiton is part of the training imo. It can accelerate your progress and deepen your understanding of Judo if approached with the right mindset. You win and learn or you lose and learn. Either way you improve so either way you win. At 42 i'm doing what i wished i had the opportunity to do while growing up. And that's to compete and become the best martial artist that i can be. Judo is the main sports, but i'm starting to itch for more competition so i'm not ruling out Bjj, Wrestling, Boxing, MMA, etc... You're never too old unless your to old.
