Meet the Seiyuu: Lilia Vanrouge

Lilia’s VA  Midorikawa has voiced many characters in iconic series such as SLAM DUNK’s Rukawa Kaede and Gundam Wing’s Heero Yuy (the performance that inspired Shimazaki Nobunaga—the VA of Lilia’s adopted son, Silver—to go into voice acting as well).

In interviews Midorikawa has explained that he first formed an interest in voice acting in elementary school after watching the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam” and as a child he decided to, one day, join the same agency as the VA of the main character after reading about the company in a voice acting magazine.

That is now his current agency, Aoni Production.

As the eldest son in his family he was originally intended to take over the family pharmacy, but he defied his parents in order to pursue his dream of voice acting.

Midorikawa made his voice acting debut in 1988 and has since had roles in over 300 anime series and OVA and 400 video games.

He appears as a guest in episode 5 of Twisted Radio Station, brings out a bag full of Twst-related merchandise (including a magical pen that he says he won in a raffle) and shows off his Diasomnia socks during the recording (much to Sebek's VA Ishiya Haruki's delight).

1967 Pontiac GTO

This was the most popular body style for the GTO, offering a sleek and stylish look without the bulk of a pillar between the doors. This body style had a pillar between the doors, which some collectors view as less desirable today. However, it did offer a slightly more rigid body structure.

This was the least common body style for the GTO, but it offered the ultimate open-air driving experience.

So, if you're looking for a 1967 Pontiac GTO, you're basically looking for a 1967 Pontiac GTO Hardtop since that was the standard body style.

The base engine was a 400 cubic inch V8 with 335 horsepower, but there were also higher-performance options available, including a 400 cubic inch V8 with 360 horsepower.

The GTO had a long hood, Coke-bottle waistline, and distinctive GTO badges.

The GTO offered a comfortable and well-equipped interior, with features such as bucket seats, a center console, and a wood-grain steering wheel.

The 1967 Pontiac GTO was a true muscle car legend, and it remains a sought-after collector's item today.

The catalog had been in play for several years with a reported asking price of $500 million, and the group was close to a deal in 2022, but the bitter infighting between the band’s members — primarily over main songwriter Roger Waters’ controversial political statements against Israel and Ukraine, and in favor of Russia — have complicated the deal enormously and scared off a number of suitors. There seems little question that Waters’ incendiary comments, which have made him a pariah from all but his biggest fans and cost him his solo record deal, devalued the catalog.  Surprisingly, the deal concludes as Israel’s multi-front wars in the Middle East are reaching a new peak of violence, which opens Sony up to a firestorm of criticism for paying such a hefty sum to Waters, who has vehemently denied that he is antisemitic but has been quite unambiguous about his fierce criticism of the governments of Israel, Ukraine and the United States, and his strong statements in support of Russia and Vladimir Putin. Among many other provocative statements, Waters has compared Israel to Nazi Germany and said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was “not unprovoked.” (Waters’ 2022 concerts in Poland were canceled over his comments about neighboring Ukraine.) “You are anti-Semitic to your rotten core,” Gilmour’s wife, novelist Polly Samson, told Waters on Twitter, amid other colorful comments; “Every word demonstrably true,” Gilmour added. Waters refuted their comments as “incendiary and wildly inaccurate.”

Not a huge fan and Waters has always struck me as almost certainly insufferable, but it's so funny to see how his "controversial" and "provocative" opinions are characterized in mainstream media. Apparently saying that Russia's invasion of Ukraine wasn't unprovoked -- demonstrable fact -- is "a strong statement in support of Putin." And when Israel does concentration camps and genocide and systematic torture and rape that's somehow completely unlike Nazi Germany.

Nick Mason is the only one of them I could imagine wanting to hang out with. Dude took his Dark Side of the Moon money and bought a Ferrari 250 GTO -- one of 36 or 39, depending on who's counting -- in the 70s when it was just an old race car for £35k, a little less than $300k today. Car is now worth upwards of $70 million but he has no intention of selling and just drives it! Bless.
