"Please, you know I do my research better than that-" Eddie continued, desperation in his voice rising as he pointedly ignored where Taylor was circling them. Like a shark. "Anyone, family, friends, a- a girlfriend? Boyfriend?" Taylor laughed as Buck shook his head, the sound of it drawing out a shudder. He couldn't see her from where he was sitting, just Eddie's deep, big eyes and flashes of red in his peripheral vision like a ghost. Taylor's fingertips brushing along the back of his chair, just barely a whisper of touch on the back of his neck. "Coworkers? School? A neighbor even?" Buck shook his head again, swallowing thickly. "No one, sorry…" "Guess we get you keep you," Taylor said, finally swooping in to drape herself along Buck's chair, her hand coiling around Buck's jaw as she pressed her cheek against his, turning them both to face Eddie. Distantly, Buck couldn't help but think it sounded nice. Belonging somewhere. Being kept.
