I was wondering about all the current Outliers characters and their abilities that you currently have and what extent their abilities can go, their limits, and side effects if that's alright with you?
Those I control/play so far!
Trailbreaker: Psioplasmic bio-forcefield. Can range in size and molded at will, but if he's not careful, his emotions can change it as well. Uses it mainly to shield his team mates on the field defensively, but it can also be used in a more dangerous manner when he forms it into spikes (he's prone to this when angry and accidentally killed a man in his youth with it, so he's very Pepa Madrigal with his emotions). Downside is it saps a LOT of his energy and he's pretty much narcoleptic everytime he's back from a mission. Dead asleep for three to four days straight and actually needs to be fed intravenously sometimes because his body simply won't let him wake up even for food when he comes back in that state. The more he uses it/the wider ground it needs to cover, the more severe his situation becomes and his organs/muscles can break down from the stress. By the end of the war, he can create a forcefield with a radius of about 2km for five minutes before he starts throwing up blood, but his powers are massively boosted by virtue of one of the 10 Primes (Nexus) trapped in the Matrix choosing to work with him and Skids in tandem.
Blurr: Super speed, still working out the semantics for them
Tarn: Still working out this fucker
Skids: Still working him out!
Skywarp: Teleportation. He has Nightcrawler limitations for most part--he has to be able to see or at least clearly visualize where he needs to be, else he can fucking kill himself by phasing in unintended places (like the middle of a wall). Like Trailbreaker, the further distance he uses it over, the more it taxes on his body. He's able to safely teleport for something like 2-3km. He CAN push himself to 5km or more, but he risks molecular degeneration if repeated in a short span of time.
Soundwave: Super hearing and sound-based telepathy. They can only hear surface thoughts however, it's not possible for them to dig into repressed thoughts. Also their super hearing is a double-edged sword since they can get overwhelmed by it when there's too much stimuli. Initially in their earlier years, their inability to differentiate their thoughts and the thoughts of others was also detrimental as they thought they were going mental and even now, sometimes they can accidentally mistake someone's thoughts as their own if they aren't focusing.
Tailgate: Super strength and durability, still working on this cutie.
Thundercracker: Sonic scream. Though it's not always screaming--shouting and thundering away at his team mates or enemies have the same, dangerous effect. His voice, unmodulated and uncontrolled, can hit a high of 160 decibels, and like Trailbreaker, he has hurt people badly in his youth on accident because of his lack of control or understanding of his abilities (in this case, one of his two mums, who is permanently deaf because of him, though she doesn't blame him for what happened--he was anywhere between five to seven then--and still loves him very much). Still thinking about any side effects. There's a reason almost everyone wears earpieces on the field, and about 50% of that reason is him (It's their luck that he's generally a good-natured fellow who is actually VERY adversed to doing to others what he did to his mom... but push him and he may just make himself heard for the first and last time for you)

Article by Hamish de Bretton-Gordon
This tank is perfect for the Ukrainian army. It’s very easy to use, has great armored protection – like the Challenger 2 and Leopard 2s, which have seen off the best munitions Russia has to offer – and it packs a hell of a punch. The 120mm smooth bore stabilized main armament is capable of taking out Russian tanks at a range of 3kms, when the Russian guns are effective at roughly half this distance. In addition, it has a 50 caliber heavy machine gun which is devastating against infantry and drones. But it’s the ease of use that’s key here. I’ve not been in an Abrams for about 15 years, but I’m pretty confident I could get in one tomorrow and fight in it effectively. For soldiers receiving new kit, and keen to be effective from the get-go, this is huge. The common criticism leveled against the Abrams is that they are a logistical nightmare, but this isn’t repeated by anyone who knows anything about tanks. The Abrams uses the same ammunition as the Leopard 2, and mechanically it has a very reliable gas turbine engine. It uses a bit more fuel than other tanks, but as far as I’m aware that isn’t in short supply.

Tell me about an interest you have that you don't really talk abt on this blog
Astronomy of course! I seldomly do get to share my interest about it, but it'd be nice to do so. What to talk about though...hm...I suppose black holes are fun. I always like basic review of them
So, some extremely basic ground work. Black holes are points in spacetime where there is so much gravity that light cannot escape. Everything has mass, and due to the concept of relativity, mass effects how time and space are formed. An object with mass have a gravitational field, where smaller masses are impacted by it. This is why we rotate around the sun, because the earth's mass is far less than the sun. Black holes have so much mass that it even wavelenghts (including light, the fastest thing in the universe we know), are unable to resist its strength. However, this mass is heavily compressed down to a single singularity. Infinite density and all that. A black hole can be tiny yet still have incredible mass. If the mass of the moon (7.35x10^22 kg) was turned into a black hole, it would be about 0.2mm in diameter.
For some basic formulas, we have the Schwarzchild radius formula: 1/c^2(2G) x M, where c is the speed of light, G is the gravitational constant, and M is mass. Only 1 variable in this one, since c and G are constants. This formula calculates how much an object needs to be compressed in order to turn into a black hole. The sun for example has a Schwarzchild radius of roughly 3km while the earth is of about 1cm. All that mass compressed into a tiny little object. This by proxy means that a black hole the size of something close to a planet alone is utterly massive in mass. The Schwarzchild radius also defines which parts of the black hole are, well black, as it's a complete absence of light. It's where light falls into, never to be seen again
Black holes are formed by two main ways: super massive red giants going supernova and compressing their cores so much that they just turn into black holes, or two neutron stars (which can also be the byproduct of red giant supernovas) colliding. Supernovas result from this and create pretty cool star dust stuff. Hey did you know that carbon is created by supernovas and by proxy everything on earth is formed by stardust because we're all carbon-based life forms? Probably, but I just think it's kinda neat
Anyways, other stuff about black holes. To simplify why the whole "space-time is distorted around black holes" thing it's just another relativity bit. So like picture this: a mountain range. You are standing atop one mountain and about a 1km away from where you're standing right now is another mountain peak. Between the mountains is a pretty deep basin with a forest in it. If there was a bridge connecting the two, it would take far less time to travel between than it would if you had to go down the mountain you're first on, walk through the forest below, and then climb up the second mountain to reach the peak. The depth of the basin in this example would be the mass of the object and the mountain peaks just being the beginning and end destination. Now, if this was a black hole, the basin would just be an unfathomably deep pit. Not endless, but it looks so because you're just a mortal being gazing into something that, by all accounts, seems like an anomaly in spacetime. If you get a bit too close to the edge, you're gonna slip and fall and not have a good time and probably most definitely die in a pretty horrific way. Fun!
Hawking radiation is another thing you probably definitely know about. Hawking radiation is just simply just particles of the black hole being created and sometimes destroyed, which overtime erodes the mass of the black hole. Of course, for a black hole to be fully gone it would take so long that the number of years is just kinda. mind boggling. It's wild how we got lucky with evolution and were able to comprehend the world around us and interpret it since we're trying to understand all of this stuff running off of animal hardware. What fun
String theory (well, more like hypothesis) is another funny goofy bit. Y'know like protons and neutrons right? Quarks too? String theory is just essentially positing about what if there was something smaller than quarks. It says that there are strings of energy that are smaller than anything else, constantly vibrating. If they vibrate one way, they become a proton. If they vibrate another way, they become an electron. So on and so forth. It gets complicated in due part to string theory being invented to bridge the gap between relativity (study of big things being big) and quantum mechanics (study of small things being small) due to stuff like black holes existing (small thing with big mass) as well as these strings vibrating through 9 different dimensions. It's kinda impossible to prove and you'll see people arguing about the validity of it. It was mainly popular in the 80s/90s but has severely fallen off. String theory is what people mean when they say that the universe and everything within it "sings" btw lol
Anywho I'd ramble more but ehh I gotta snack on something first

The whole land mass in my Subnautica AU will be a semi-active volcanic zone. Compared to the Crater in the original game, this 'map' will have an active volcano and much more volcanic activity. The Atoll will have been formed from a long eroded volcano with the center blasted out. That is why it is so rich in materials. South of the Atoll, maybe 2 or 3km, their will be an active volcano island with lava flows that has no vegetation save algae on to rocks at its shore. Nothing will live on it save for Cave Crawlers and a more aquatic version of the flying Cryptosuckus from the Floating Islands.
From that volcanic island, there is an isle of under water volcanoes that go East for some time. I am undecided if it will stretch all the way across the 'map' or just part way but they go for a while. All the volcanic activity around this entire area is from 2 tectonic plates crashing into each other. One side sinks and the other rises. The gape between where the plates slide is where the volcanos tend to form and the rising plate forms an underwater mountain range south of the volcanos.
The volcanos will mostly be home to the Cryptosuckus and Lava Zone fish like the Magmarang. Also subspecies of the Crimson Ray. Giant Coral Tubes live here and feed on the chemicals exuded from the volcanos. That is all for now. If you are confused and looking for more of this, I further develope this AU in my other posts.

For a year and four months I worked as an in home caregiver for people with severe disabilities. There were parts of my job I liked a lot and parts that were very frustrating, but overall it was unsustainable because I had to commute for an hour to the city and then during the day I'd have to go from one home to another. I was not paid for that time. So I was earning a part time salary but I was gone from home 60+ hours a week. I was utterly exhausted.
I found a job just 3km away from home, working at a long term care facility for elderly people who are still fairly autonomous. Reader, it was a shitshow. This has been independently verified; the government agency that evaluates these places failed the facility.
Anyway, I was going to hang in there because they had promised to put me through a nursing assistant certification. At the end of my 30 trial period they fired me. Mind you they never trained me for any part of the job. When I asked questions I got answers ranging from sarcastic to nasty. And no one ever gave me any feedback. So yeah I'm sure I fcked things up but I'm also not a mind-reader and a heads up would have helped. Anyway. Because I quit the previous job and worked only thirty days I'm ineligible for unemployment aid. You have to have worked at least 91 days after quitting a job.
It's been two weeks. I have lost track of how many jobs I have applied for. I have three kids. One has a birthday in November, then there's Christmas, and then another has a birthday in January. I'm stressing so hard. I had a job interview today at a long term care facility for dependent elderly people but it's in the hour-away city and the bus schedule doesn't fit with their shifts. The managing nurse is going to see if she can make it work when she does the schedules for November and December over the weekend. I find out on Monday.

Explore Chay river in Lao Cai by boat
Private Sapa tours - Traveling on Chay River from Trung Do village - where there is a national cultural and historical relic - Tien Cave, Bao Nhai commune to Coc Ly Hydroelectric Lake, Bac Ha district used to be an activity that attracted a lot of tourists.
Tumblr media
Since the Bac Ha hydropower plant filled the water, the Chay River dried up, making it difficult to travel by boat, and there were no more visitors, and this river tourism route almost stopped. But now, it is attracting and welcoming many visitors again when the Bao Nhai 1 hydropower plant filled the dam.
Chay River in Bac Ha District (Lao Cai province) stretches and winds along the winding terrain of the mountain ranges. On both sides of the river, there are vertical cliffs, while other parts are wide open with far-reaching views. Tourists can start their cruise on Chay River from Bao Nhai Commune up to Coc Ly Commune or vice versa.
Since Bao Nhai 1 hydropower plant has stored water, boating on the Chay River is no longer difficult. Especially in the summer, on weekends, when the weather is hot and humid, many tourists from the lowlands or Lao Cai City come to the countryside or highlands with beautiful and peaceful landscapes and rivers, streams, where there are cool waterfalls or peaceful blue hydropower lakes, becoming attractive "hot escapes" for local people and tourists.
That is why the Chay River boat trip from Trung Do village to Hang Tien, Bao Nhai commune to Coc Ly hydroelectric lake, Bac Ha district has revived and in the early summer of 2023, the experience of cruising on the Chay River on the poetic white plateau of Bac Ha has been chosen by many people.
After many years of having to stop working or operate at a low level, now there are many tourists, some households in Bao Nhai commune who used to work as boat drivers, budget motels and some homestays are happy and excited. Mr. Ha Quang Chanh, Tay ethnic, Trung Do village, Bao Nhai commune said that his family has lived in Trung Do village for generations, attached to the river and rice farming.
Previously, the village invested in developing community tourism, creating jobs for homestays and boatmen who transported us tourists. Then the dam was built to make Coc Ly hydroelectric lake, losing water and flow, no one came anymore, we lost our jobs, only knowing how to farm. Now, the Bao Nhai hydroelectric dam has been built, the flow is stable, the scenery of Hang Tien and Trung Do village on the Chay river is beautiful, many visitors have come, the people are very happy because they can return to their jobs.
Currently, in Bao Nhai and Coc Ly communes, there are 20 boats operating to pick up and drop off tourists, each boat can accommodate up to 10 passengers. All boats are equipped with life jackets. Tourists will experience sitting on a boat to enjoy the river about 3km, the travel time is about 30 minutes. The price of each boat is 500,000 VND (including round trip). After the experience of watching the river on the boat, tourists can bathe in the cool water; prepare their own lunch with snacks right on the riverbank.
A homestay owner in Trung Do village, Bao Nhai commune said that before the dam was built, the beautiful mountain scenery, the gentle river flow, the Trung Do - Hang Tien Bao Nhai tour and upstream to Coc Ly to go to the market attracted many visitors. Then, the dam was built to make Coc Ly hydropower plant for many years, causing this tour to disappear. People working in homestays and river transport services lost their jobs, some went to Bac Ha to do tourism, others stayed in their hometowns to farm, life was difficult. Now that Bao Nhai 1 hydropower plant has dammed water, this tour is operating again and we have jobs and income again. Hopefully there will be more visitors and the homestay will try to ensure good service for visitors.
With beautiful poetic scenery, clear and cool water of Chay River, the experience of cruising on Chay River is becoming an attractive destination for locals and tourists. To protect the tourism environment, tourism workers also recommend that locals and tourists when visiting and experiencing need to be aware of maintaining public hygiene, not throwing waste into the river; always wear a life jacket when the boat is moving to prevent drowning.
Currently at Bac Ha Hydropower Plant, the water rises to form a large lake, boats can travel easily, attracting more and more tourists, especially on Tuesdays and weekends where people visit Coc Ly market. Therefore, Bao Nhai Commune has a plan to restore this tourist route.
To restore this once famous tourist route, Bao Nhai commune also has a policy and plan to establish a new boat dock starting at Trung Do village, organize a number of local traditional festivals associated with Trung Do temple, combined with the landscape and national cultural identity to create highlights to attract tourists such as: the army celebration ceremony in July every year, the festival "Going to the fields" at the beginning of the first month of the year, the boat racing festival… This will be an opportunity for Bao Nhai to exploit its inherent potential strengths to develop the economy, when the tourist route on Chay River is restored.

we started out in füssen, germany, right on the austrian border. following the lech river valley on the luxurious, world class via claudia augusta trail we spent the second night with our tent hidden behind a neat pile of wood on a field end hidden from sight from any roads or houses in oberpinswang, austria. there was a thunderstorm close by that night, 3km away at most, so i probably spent it clutching a.'s chest with ear plugs in. also, fear of bears. i'm always a mess on the first nights of camping - the why is a story for another day.
day two of biking, the first full one, was a demanding one: right away we had to bike up the fernpass, one of the two highest points of the trail. we passed by zugspitze - the highest mountain of germany - in lermoos. unfortunately the peak was covered with clouds, but the base was absolutely massive; would love to hit it one day. we did get a stunning view of the mieming range as the clouds cleared throughout the day and our ascent, that started right outside biberwier. i remember we stopped for food (i have no memory what was it called, but it was the closest thing to kiełbasa we could find in the grocery store - it had cheese inside; ketchup, bread, tomatoes) and a butterfly sat on my bare toes and wouldn't fly away. tickled like a mf. (a. taught me that hiking sandals are the best fucking thing for long distance biking.)
i got a flat tire less than a kilometer before fernpass, but i was so determined to finish it right away, he just pumped air into it and we postponed the maintenance stop until the peak. there were mandrakes and belladonnas right by the trail.
on the way down there's a rebuilt part of trail that was blown away by nazi troops at the end of the war, and right after it there's a part that has original roman cart tracks carved into stone; cool as balls. and the next village, nassereith, is the perfect picture of a tyrol village - if it was located in poland, it'd be the next zakopane or karpacz. the murals painted on the traditional houses and the monolith rock faces behind them glowed in the golden setting sun like a mirage i could've sworn i dreamed or hallucinated on psychedelics, if i hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
the night caught us with our hands down the toilet, because this valley had little to no place to hide with our tent. panicked, na przypale albo wcale style, we settled on a grass field right next to a local dirt road, hidden partially by the bushes, a kilometer away from see-eck, near the crystal clear gurglbach creek.

Developing Infrastructure: The area is witnessing rapid infrastructure development, including the construction of new roads, metro stations, and social amenities.
Proximity to IT Hubs: Kasavanahalli’s proximity to major IT hubs like Electronic City and Whitefield has fueled the demand for residential and commercial properties. With Koramangala and Electronic city being less than 10 km away, and Whitefield being about 16km away, commute will be a breeze!
Affordable Living: Compared to other prime locations in Bengaluru, Kasavanahalli offers relatively affordable housing options, making it attractive to homebuyers and investors.
Kasavanahalli has emerged as a thriving suburb in Bengaluru, with a strong market demand for both residential and commercial properties. Its strategic location, growing infrastructure, and affordable living options make it a highly desirable area for homebuyers and investors. As the area continues to develop, the market demand in Kasavanahalli is expected to remain robust. Major builders all have projects in this area of Sarjapur Road, just like HM Constructions.
