Back when Secret Life came out I created a pitch for a season of The Life Series called Quest Life and ever since my friends have been non-stop bothering me to make a fanfic about it detailing a fictional season using those rules.

Unfortunately for them they haven't broken me to the point of actually learning how to use Ao3 but they did manage to get me to think of teams and rough ideas of events for the season. Will anything come from this? Probably Not.

Anyway here's the pitch for

Quest Life

Rules:

In Quest Life, everyone starts off with a total of 15 hearts which can be regenerated. 15 hearts and above means your on green, 10 hearts means your on yellow, 5 means your on red, you can gain more hearts while on yellow or red but this will not reclaim the next colour of life, once you've lost all but 5 hearts you stay red, even if you gain 10 new hearts.

If a player goes below 5 hearts they lose their red life and are out of the game

Each death removes a total of 3 hearts from the player who died. Yellows can choose to kill any green player once per session. Reds can kill any player, including reds, for any reason at any time. Yellows are allowed to kill reds in self defence and greens are allowed to kill Yellows and reds in self defence.

If a yellow Kills a player they gain 3hearts and the killed player loses 3, whereas if a red Kills a player they gain 4 hearts taken and the killed player loses 3.

Greens do not gain hearts for killing other players.

Reds can remain on the same team as Yellows and greens if they wish, reds and Yellows can help each other with kills, but a yellow who has already killed this session cannot help a red kill directly, only through traps. Greens on the same teams as reds cannot help kill players in any way, they can only W̸̢͍͖͔̜̙̮̹̟̯̟̹̲̔a̷̢̫̜͕̮̫͕̘̹̣̤͙̹̺͑̿̿̈̐̓̿̿͒͆̆̀̕͘͠t̷̠͍͔̠̆̈́̎̐̄̇̀͌̀͘͝͝͠c̷̖͔̤̠͛̈́͒̔̓͝h̴̳̲̔̏̓̇͌͘͜͝

At the start of every session players are given a book that contains a Minecraft item currently obtainable within the world border, the goal is to collect this item, if you have the item in your inventory by the end of the session you gain 3 hearts, failure to collect or keep this item will result in you having to collect a harder item next session, failure to collect that item will remove 5 hearts, but success will add 5 hearts (meaning some players may chose purposefully to not collect their item to gain more hearts in the following session)

Other players can know what the item is and can help others get it.

This season The Boogeyman makes a return, at the start of every session 1-3 non-red players, instead of being given an item, will be chosen to be The Boogeyman, who will have to kill a green or yellow player, success results in a gain of 5 hearts but failure results in being bumped down to the lower life colour.

Players killed by the boogeyman lose 5 hearts

idk my ls au has a lot going on but some smaller rambles, the 3heart trio had little matching accessories, like bracelets or smth, I imagine planet and bacon wouldn't wear them anymore but jaron does;

also.. when I imagine the lifestealers fighting I have a like ability relating to them in some way (abilities/attack styles) and for some reason I imagine roshambo's final attack is like a game of rock paper scissors but if you lose he does a attack with more damage, but he wins every time cause yk :3

Cooking Experiment notes BotW / TotK

CRITICAL COOKING MELODY:

If you hear a little melodic trill playing over the mechanical cooking sounds that means the cooking was a critical success and the stats are better.

Golden apples and fairies will trigger the critical success. Golden apples can be used in elixirs!

Golden apple cooked by itself will restore 6 hearts.

There is no point in including more than one golden apple to a dish since you cannot make a dish more critical. Extra golden apples will either act as regular apples or have no effect (depending on the buff)

Blood moon also creates critical dishes

Possible critical effects (only one will trugger)

A little less than double the minute duration of the buff

Buff is doubled in intensity (one to two icons)

Elixirs may get hearts as part of the critical (this will reduce the doubled duration) usually you get 3 hearts

Increase the number of temporary hearts by 1 for hearty dishes.

ELIXIRS:

Insects and lizards give you the buff type but it is the monster bits that determine the duration.

Do not use construct parts! You will create dubious food

You can convert regular chuchus to elemental chuchu by laying them on the ground and exposing them to an elemental attack. The attack must be indirect because they will burst if struck by a weapon.

An elixir made with one small creature and 4 monster parts will have a longer duration than an elixir of 4 small creatures and 1 monster part.

Monster parts are split into categories

D tier: regular chuchu, bokoblin horn, keese wing

C tier: elemental chuchu, bokoblin fang, moblin fang, keese eye

B tier: ?

For money making purposes it is better to focus on elixers rather than meals since the price depends on the value of the ingredients. The cost of most food items is low compared to monster bits. Therefore, elixers fetch a more reliably high price when made with high value monster parts.

MEALS:

Regardless of the qualities of the stats produced, a meal made with 5 ingredients will generally be worth more rupees than a meal with only one or two.

Sale value: The cost of meals is dependent on the cost/rarity of the ingredients, and possibly some basic modifier for meal type. (I am still verifying this)

ELIXERS:

Insects and lizards give you the buff type but it is the monster bits that determine the duration.

An elixer made with one small creature and 4 monster parts will have a longer duration than an elixer of 4 small creatures and 1 monster part.

EXCEPTIONS: Restless crickets will give a fixed increase to the stamina wheel per cricket added, usually ¼ wheel if no critical occurs. Hearty Lizards give you a fixed number of hearts (4 hearts) per lizard.

(Example: 1 restless cricket + 4 moblin fangs = 140 rupee and a fraction of the stamina wheel restored VS 4 restless cricket + 1 moblin fang = 60 rupee and full stamina wheel restore) the cooking was a critical success on both of the example elixers so exact rupee and stamina values may vary.

MAKING MONEY: The selling price of elixers is determined similarly to how meals are priced. The sale price of the elixer is determined by the price of the ingredients. Since monster parts usually sell for more, elixers made with more monster parts will sell for more.

Notably, Hearty Lizards have a selling price of 20 rupees which is higher than most monster parts. Therefore, elixers made with hearty lizards sell better with more lizards than monster parts. (I recommend keeping these elixers for personal use and selling some of of the easier to make buff elixers)

Fangs generally sell higher than horns. Even basic Bokoblin fangs sell higher than moblin horns. This means that for the best sell price use fangs not horns.

FAST MONEY WITH MONSTER PARTS:

1. Buy 10 rupee small creatures from Beedle or catch them in the wild (partial list: warm/cold darner, restless cricket, sunset firefly, hot-footed frog).

2. Add 1 small animal + 4 expensive monster parts

3. Sell elixer

Example:

1 small animal (10 rupees from beedle, 2 rupee resale value) + 4 bokoblin horn (3 rupee resale each, 12 rupee total) = an elixer worth 40 rupees (a 26 rupee increase from the resale value of just the ingredients alone, 18 if you bought the animal from Beedle)

1 small animal (10 rupees from beedle, 2 rupee resale value) + 4 bokoblin fang (8 rupee resale each, 32 rupee total) = an elixer worth 100 rupees (a 66 rupee increase from the resale value of just the ingredients alone, 58 if you bought the animal from Beedle)

MATH FOR ELIXERS:

the value of an elixer with one 2 rupee small animal and 4 higher value moster parts is caluclated as follows:

Sale price = (monster part sale price+modifier for monster part rarity)×10

Rarity modifiers by monster part

Bokoblin = 1 Horn = 0 total = 1

Bokoblin = 1 Fang = 1 total = 2

Moblin = 2 Horn = 0 total = 2

Moblin = 2 Fang = 1 total = 3

Lizalfos = 2 Horn = 0 total = 2

Lizalfos = 2 Talon = 1 total = 3

The duration on the elixer is based on the rarity score without the monster modifiers. Therefore an elixer made with a moblin fang will have the same duration as one made with a bokoblin fang.

Horn = 0 (base duration of small animal 6:40)

Fang/Talon = 1 (9:20)

Now You See Me (2013)

💗💗💗💔- 3.5 hearts

At first glance Now You See Me seems like your typical action/heist movie. Take a closer glance however, and you may see that it has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Synopsis: A team of four illusionists, called the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse work together to astound audiences. Things take a sharp turn when they start performing elaborate heists, and no one can catch them in the act. It is up to a federal agent, Mark Rhodes, and Interpol detective, Alma Dray to stop them. However, tensions between them are high and everyone is keeping secrets

Pros: The idea is incredibly creative. I love the imagery of the tarot cards, and the variety of characters. It was quite interesting how it took the basic premise of a heist and then added a unique spin. The humor, and occasional calmer dialogue scene broke up the tension and added a lighter spin on this otherwise action packed blockbuster. Now You See Me is filled with numerous big name stars, and they live up to their names.

Cons: As many tricks as it pulled it didn’t seem to be getting anywhere. Every time it would build up to something solid, it dropped off. I got the feeling they were planning on a sequel (I was right, there’s multiple), because they left numerous gaps that really needed to be filled. We only see a bit of development in a few of the characters, and their backstories are barely mentioned.

For Fans Of: Action movies, blockbusters, easy watches, Mark Ruffalo, comedy, magic, mysteries

Bullseye: This is a fun movie for when you need something to relax, but that is still substantial enough to stay engaging.
