Something ive been thinking about for elden ring was like hand gestures or like more motion for when people say their farewell blessings like cmon there was the whole irl schism over doing the sign of the cross with 2 or 3 fingers

How to Stretch a Canvas

Put together the wood frame for the canvas, making sure the corners are at a 90 degree angle. Staple the corners for stability.

Center the frame in the middle of the canvas leaving at least 3-4 inches (or fingers) of fabric around the edges to fold over the frame.

Begin with the middle of one side of the canvas. Fold one side of the canvas over the frame and staple it 3x (leaving 3finger spaces in between each staple) in the middle of that side.

On the opposite side, use pliers to stretch and pull the canvas tight over the frame and staple the same way in the middle.

Staple the middle of the third and fourth sides, pulling the canvas tightly as you go.

For each side, starting from the middle staple, work your way toward the corners on each side. Place a staple every 2-3 inches, pulling the canvas tight with the pliers before each staple.

After adding a staple on one side, move to the opposite side, pull tight, and staple. This ensures even tension across the canvas.

When you reach the corners, fold the corner like a bunny ear and neatly fold onto back side of the canvas, placing a staple or two to secure the canvas.

Flip the canvas over and check for any sagging. The surface should be taut but not overly stretched.

Once the canvas is stretched, apply a layer of gesso to prime the surface for painting.
