After the Gravitational Beam Emitter, I now 3D printed the second thing from an anime I always wanted a replica of:
The Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop

Here's the model, but I slightly modified it here and there for my print, so it's not the exact same.

There have been official models of this thing, but they're damn near impossible to find nowadays. Plus, there's something special about (kind of) creating your own replica from scratch rather than just buying one.

I would kill for figurines or keychains of the tinies . Especially tiny Chuuya
would there be like, actual interest for stuff like that? It's not something I've ever done myself (though I know people who have) and that would be a lot of stuff to research, that's a lot of time and effort, so first of all I need to know if there would be actual interest
Would you buy bsd merch I designed? (stuff like a sticker sheet or a small acrylic charm)
Answer truthfully please think of my time and sanity!! I appreciate you no matter your answer and I'm still gonna be here anyway. I just need to know if this is worth putting in the effort looking into
Also feel free to say your opinions, concerns or alternative ideas in replies/reblogs/asks I'm actually asking for this

It’s wild thinking about how we’ve been playing this campaign for over 3 years but this is the first time we’re cosplaying our characters. But honestly I can’t express how happy getting to be Amoré for a night made me.
And we may not have had Diana this time but we did find Ziteng!

This is kinda something important to me on a spiritual level, just a bit. I was a 4H kid growing up and Tunis was one of the breeds we had there, but the club/project was too poor to process the fleeces ourselves. So I never learned spinning or made anything with the wool from our sheep. It's a real treat to be able to do that now!
This wool in particular is part of the Shave 'Em to Save 'Em project, which focuses on saving heritage/endangered sheep breeds. One of the things they help with is making it more affordable to keep these sheep. If I wasn't disabled, I'd love to invest more in this project. It's by the Livestock Conservatory, so go check it out! Fiber artists (in the US) can donate to get a passport which they can fill with stamps featuring different heritage sheep breeds.
Tunis wool is a bit rougher than merino (of course), but it's still classified as medium-fine. I think it will soften up with a wash? I hope so at least. It's also a bit greasy? But I think that's bc there's still lanolin the fiber, which is a first for me. (I could be completely wrong, but the texture is different than other wool I've spun.) I don't know if it's less dense than merino/fine wool sheeps, or if there's a lot of air in how it was prepared, but the sheer volume in 4 oz is impressive. Like the resulting braid is massive, easily three times the size of a normal 4 oz braid. The internet says it's resistant to felting, has good loft, and is bouncy. The sheep themselves are always the sweetest too, with a unique russet colored face and legs.

I wish 3D printers were more accessible. Apparently, if you have a high-res 3D printer, there’s a script on GitHub that lets you make type balls for IBM Selectrics in any font you want. I want a Comic Sans type ball for a 1980s typewriter. Now! And a Zilla Slab one too. If I had a 3D printer I’d be unstoppable.
